Description: HONOR! RESPECT! DIGNITY! All three of these things could be found in the Todoh-Dojo, in a very technical sense. What is meant by that is the fact that those three traits could in fact be associated with the sacred art of Todoh-Ryuu Kobojutsu. Daniel Jack strongly believes in these important pillars in Todoh, and as such, brings them upon the newest student in the school, Benkei.
At the Todoh-ryuu dojo, Benkei stands inside, dressed in a white gi with a matching white belt. He's presently striking a punching bag repeatedly with hard punches, shouting out, "HIIII-YA!" with each strike. His little punches barely nudge the bag, but it doesn't seem to bother Benkei, who continues to batter at it. He takes a moment to push his black rimmed glasses up his nose, before returning to beating a helpless punching bag.
"No, no, no, scuzzy, you are jacking it all WRONG!"
Daniel Jack stands behind Benkei in the half-rebuilt ruins of the Todoh-Ryuu Kobojutsu Dojo, glaring with judgemental eyes. His arms were crossed, and short of his dark skin and lack of facial hair, he was in full form much like the one Ryuhaku Todoh. From behind a pair of rose-tinted glasses, he barked even more constructive critism. "You have some real high spirit there, but you lack in the straight up FORM!"
Daniel Jack was one of the older students of Todoh. While this may not seem like much, understand that very few students stay with the school. Master Todoh's abrasive and totally unstable nature scares away most repeat customers. So far, Daniel was only competing with Kasumi and the renegade Zach as dedicated students of Todoh. Though due to his seniority, he was also a sort of an assistant to the dojo, training the newer students. Or in this case, only new student. The somewhat pathetic-looking Benkei. Shaking his head, he roared. "Straighten your back! Now! Perform the Kasane Ate! Show me the BRIGHT SPIRIT of TODOH!"
Daniel's eyes burn with the driven passion of a true student.
Benkei punches the bag harder as Daniel chides him, continuing with his shouts of, "HIIII-YA!" He then leaps back as the order to perform his signature move is given. His hands glow with golden chi as he grips his fingers into fists, before shouting, "KASANE ATE!" He lets a pair of chi waves rip, which impact into the bag with a thud, leaving a burn mark on the leather surface of the punching bag.
"Commendable effort! But you need to jack up the VIGOR!"
Daniel Jack slowly uncrosses his hands, eyes still locked upon the bag. "Alright, scuzzy. Back off the bag. Just back it right out, and meet me in the circle. The combat circle, Neophyte! We got to jack up an old fashioned spar, you dig it?" Daniel Jack jerks his head behind him, and stepped to the ring.
"COME, Neophyte! We gunna jack this up, you dig? And pay it some attention!"

Benkei backs away from the bag, giving it a bow. He then turns to Daniel, and steps into the ring with some amount of trepidation. "O-okay, but be careful, momma sez that careful is as careful does!" He strikes a martial arts pose, before pushing his glasses up his nose. He waits for Daniel to come at him, shaking a bit in fear.
"Do not worry, Neophyte."
Daniel Jack stood in his corner of the ring, dropping his foot behind him. His neck does not move as the rest of his body dropped into their defensive stance. It was almost natural to Daniel, now. His legs were spread apart wide, not comically so, but just enough to make sure his balance kept to size. Slowly, he walked to the center of the ring, one hand in front of the other. With his hand, he motioned towards Benkei.
"I will keep the smack easy on you. Now show me some of those punches, you dig it?"

Benkei nods at Daniel. "Well, okay then! Get ready, cuz I'm gonna show you MY STUFF!" he shouts, doing several pointless martial arts poses. His hands glow with golden chi as he steps forward, before shouting, "KAAAASANE ATE!" He jerks his hands forward and to the floor, letting out a pair of chi waves that slice across the ground towards Daniel!

Daniel Jack tightens his entire jaw into a forced grin as the student opened with a Kasane Ate. His technique was actually quite impressive. When Daniel was starting out, his Kasane Ate was terrible. In fact, his fairly popular Mikansei Kasane Ate used to BE his Kasane Ate. The fact that Benkei was already showing off a great deal of Chi power was impressive in itself.
What was less impressive was his eagerness over following directions!
The detective drew his arms up, lowering his posture. The chi strikes him solidly, knocking the detective backwards a bit in a slide. Still, his form was not broken, and the detective watched with fierce eyes. "NEOPHYTE! Though your Kasane Ate is QUITE IMPRESSIVE, I said PUNCHES! Show me hand and foot!"
Arm's still smoking slightly from Benkei's wave of power, Daniel Jack drew himself upright, and began stomping forward. "FOLLOW MY LEAD, NEOPHYTE!" The detective roared. Closing in on Benkei, the detective shot forth a single, steady palm strike. Shortly afterward, he brought his opposing hand up and across, unleashing a hand chop. Without missing a beat, he repeated the cycle, another palm strike, and then, another hand chop. Simple, yes. But these were moves that any true student of Todoh should learn.
Well, any student of Kasumi would.

Benkei gets hit by a trio of chops, making a weird, "GUFUG!" sound with each strike. "Ow! Okay, then! I'll show you my /amazing technique/!" he cries, before he takes a pair of steps backwards, dancing on his feet. "AWWWW-WOWWWW!" he croons, then leaping into the air and unleashing a quick chest kick at Daniel.

Daniel Jack sighs. Discipline. Benkei needed some good old fashioned discipline.
No, Yurika, not like that.
Stop peeking in, Yurika.
Anyways, Daniel Jack's careful punches land true, if not overwhelmingly powerful. Daniel was holding back a bit, trying not to crush the little guy too hard. Of course, when he steps backwards and tries a jumping kick, the detective can't help but push his arms upwards and try to block.
He fails.
Benkei's kick strikes the detective in the chest, knocking him backwards a bit. "Guh! No, no, HANDS! NOT! FEET!!!" The detective boiled, closing his form back as he stepped forward. "If you do not wish to be taught a lesson, then I'm just gunna have to TEACH you a lesson, -dig it?!?!-" The detective charged forward, raising but a single hand up. Dropping in near Benkei, he slashes down, unleashing a single wave of orange chi. "KASANE ATE!" The detective roared as the energy lashed out, far faster than a normal Kasane Ate, but without that slow rolling projectile element.

Benkei hops up into the air, the Kasane Ate flying under him and behind him. He lands, and pushes his glasses up his nose. "Okay, sir!" he squeaks, before straightening his right hand into a blade. He rushes forward, shouting, "HIII-YAAAA!" and coming down at Daniel with a chop that's more powerful than his skinny arm should be able to manage.

Once again, Daniel roars, bringing his other around in time with his first one. Daniel Jack doesn't even stop to reaim. The motion was just a flawless repetition of Kasane Ate. The wave of energy was coming forth by the time Benkei charges in with-
Was that a Fantastic Todoh Hand Chop?
My god. Daniel Jack's influence with the World's Greatest Hand Chop was affecting even entry-level students. A manly tear glistened in the corner of his eye as the chop struck his shoulder. It wasn't as powerful as Daniel's of course, but that might be due to the WAVE of CHI rocketed Benkei to the corner of the ring. Rolling his shoulders, Daniel Jack shakes off the impact with his eyes locked on.
"Excellent form! Now, show me some grapples! The throws, NEOPHYTE!"
Benkei is sent flying off his feet by the Kasane Ate, his glasses flying off his face. He ends up in the corner of the sparring ring, smoking from the chi blow. "Whew! That stung!" He picks his glasses back up and nebbishly pushes them up his nose, before he charges at Daniel again. "HOOOO-AHHHHH!" he cries, attempting to tackle Daniel to the ground.

Daniel Jack grumbles with a furious roar, rebuffing the charging Benkei by standing erect. As the student piles on, the detective flexes. The student of Todoh couldn't even move the elder student, and instead, the boy is left to fall down.
"NO! NO! WRONG! You cannot fight like THAT! Your HAND CHOP was perfect, but your throws are IMPERFECT! COME! Let me show you the PERFECT FORM!" Daniel Jack leans down, trying to lift the boy up. If successful, he would simply flip him across his body, and hurl him on his back.

Benkei is picked up and bodily hurled over Daniel's shoulder. He lands on his back, blinking at the sudden upheaval. "Ow! That was mean of you, Mr. Little!" He climbs back to his feet, and suddenly his knee swerves at Daniel's gut. "Take this!" he screeches in his little, pre-pubescent voice.

Daniel slams the student on his back, and promptly steps back! "Mean? Cruelty nor niceness has nothing to do with Todoh! Now LEARN! Use the techniques that we have taught you!" The detective flattened his own hand, preparing for another chop, much like the chop that Benkei unleashed.
However, the younger man was already charging in with a knee. "STOP! NO!" The detective shouts, catching the knee with his free hand, stopping it short. Pushing it away, he gives the student a chance to recover. "NOW! Prepare yourself!"
The detective raises the hand high, allowing the bright orange energy flow forth from it. Eyes burning fiercely, he drops the chop down, leaving a trail of energy. He hurtles it straight for the skull of Benkei... and slows, allowing Benkei to observe the attack. To analyze another hand chop, one that could very well be...
Flawless?

Benkei gets whalloped by the chi-fueled hand chop, his glasses flying off as his head jerks to the side. He stumbles backwards, barely on his feet, and falls backwards onto his backside. He holds his head, dizzy and hurting. "Owwww!" he moans. "That really stung!"
"Then RECOVER!"
Daniel's firm stance stared at the younger student. "Your spirit is STRONG, but your form is WEAK! You must learn to embrace the STRONG CORE of TODOH! Now!" The detective began to flex furiously, his body tensing with raw power. There is the sound of ripping as the uniform the detective wore began to burst, revealing the well formed muscles of the stronger student. Orange Chi began to flow over his body as he glared at the boy. "COLLECT YOUR GLASSES!"
"Show me TRUE TODOH MIGHT!!"

Benkei picks his glasses up and rises, a little intimidated as Daniel's mucles bulge and orange chi covers him. "Uhh...Uh...Okay?" he squeaks, before stepping towards Daniel. His right fist flies out with a powerful punch at Daniel's chest, the little scrappy student shouting, "NIMROD HAMMAH!"

Daniel's naked chest pokes out, ready to meet the unstoppable fury of the little man with glasses. The chi from the boy revealed the strength that Benkei kept in his heart. That, combined with his well-known victory over the fallen one, only strengthened Daniel's resolve.
Benkei WOULD be a true master of Todoh-Ryuu Kobojutsu.
The blow rattles Daniel's entire skeleton, shaking it in the very foundations. The detective grimaced, bracing his bones to handle the pain. The very chi of the attack swept over him, and to that, the detective stood strong. He finally releases a high-pitch gasp, and looks down at the boy.
"IMPRESSIVE! You have the power to unleash a FANTASTIC TODOH PUNCH, the most RIGHTEOUS of all the TODOH PUNCHES. Now." The detective raises both of his hands up, allowing his energy to flow to his hands. "It is time. The ultimate test. You must be able to overcome my..." And with that, the detective throws the chi down, hurling the great wave of energy right for the little both.
"KASANE ATE!"

Benkei jumps into the air over the Kasane Ate, landing unsteadily and stumbling about. He's pretty hurt, but is still fighting! "You think that's something, Mr. Little? Well watch /this/!" He sweeps his hands in a circle as golden chi gathers, forming into a ball that Benkei then launches at Daniel. "HOOOOWAAAH!"

WHIFF! And then, WHIFF AGAIN! The epic battle of projectiles continues as Daniel Jack unloads a wave of white-hot chi, and misses Benkei's face by a mile. Of course, with Benkei leaping high again, the boy brings a ne- is that a normal projectile?
Is that a KYOKUGEN PROJECTILE?
"WHAT HEATHEN TRICKS is THIS, DROOGIE?" The detective roars, side stepping the ball. Turning to the side, the ball rips by his face, smashing into the ground. "TODOH-RYUU Kobojutsu does not USE BALLS! We HAVE NO BALLS!" The detective roars boldly. New energy rushed over the man. Already, he was charging forth, coming upon the boy with a forceful frenzy like none before. He unleashed a palm, then a hand chop! And then a snap kick, and finally... A ROUNDHOUSE KICK! All without even breaking a sweat. Yes, the might of Todoh, especially from Daniel Jack, was endless and infinite!

Benkei gets taken down by the combination, falling onto his back after Daniel's fit of rage. "I'm s-s-sorry!" he whines, laying there pathetically. "I'm no good at this! I should just go back to getting beat up all the time! Master Todoh was right, I'll never be a real man!"

Daniel's rage slowly dies down. It drew inward, not showing any shame. No, the detective simply drew himself inwards, staring down at the boy. His arms were crossed now, his glasses untouched. "You can become a man, Benkei. Master Todoh knows this!"
Nose turned up, the detective stood like a beacon of light, staring off in the distance. "Your spirit is commendable, as well as your powers over chi! When I was first learning, I could barely muster a single ball of energy! You, however, show great signs of POWER and SKILL! Being strong is not your weakness, no." The detective leans down, sticking his hand out to the boy. "It is DISCIPLINE. You must train HARDER! And it is my DUTY as the SENIOR STUDENT of TODOH-RYUU KOBOJUTSU to take you under my wing... SIDEKICK!"
"Now get out of here. Your time is up."
Benkei glows as he gets called a sidekick, and grins at Daniel as he stands. "You're right, Mr. Little! I need to train harder, that's all!" He salutes. "Thank you, Mr. Little! Thank you so much!" He scampers off to the showers.
Daniel Jack stares as the boy runs off, with only one thing on his mind.
We don't HAVE showers.
