Description: Zach faces off against yet another Todoh-Ryu student. This one, however, is not content to drag back Zach to the dojo for the old man's judgement. Benkei just wants to kick the crap out of him, it seems.
It's a quiet day at the YFCC in the wake of the war in Southtown, and things are just getting back to normal, when...
Benkei Bunya bursts through the front doors, wearing a white gi with matching white belt and a black Todoh-ryuu logo on the back. He makes several punches at air, before he announces, "I am Benkei Bunya, student of Master Todoh! I seek Zach Glen, for honorable one on one combat! Face me, or...Or...Or don't!" He nods, before kicking the air.
Zach has had his hands more than full in the aftermath of the war. The Center had been hit twice during the invasions, and left the facility in more than a bit of mess. He has a large wheelbarrow full of rubble that he was relocating when...
Zach stares blankly at Benkei for a moment as he takes in the youth. Then he glowers. "This is never going to end, is it," the psyker mutters darkly as he eases the wheelbarrow down on its legs. Zach looks around, and gestures to the back of the building. "Looks like I don't have much choice," Zach says. "Let's do this out back. I don't feel like cleaning up even more mess."
Benkei Bunya grins at his good fortune. There's Zach Glen, right out where he can find him easily. This was going to be so simple! "Okay!" he says, scramblnig out back. He takes a stance at one end of the alley, gesturing for Zach to attack him. "Hold nothing back, for I won't either!" he declares boistrously, grinning brightly.

Zach heaves a sigh as he slips into a fighting stance that looks somewhere between jujitsu and Terry Bogard. He looks down the alleyway at the kid, even as he reminds himself that youth is no indicator of ability in this business.
"If you say so," Zach replies guardedly as purple light starts to slide down his body, almost like heavy smoke.

Benkei grins at Zach. He sees the purple light, assuming it to be some chi technique. He's not experienced enough to know that he's in trouble. "Let's dance!" His hands glow with golden chi, as he jerks both hands down, sending dual chi waves racing across the ground at Zach. "KASANE ATE!"

Zach replies in kind, whipping his arms up and then down in a markedly similar fashion. Purple energy responds to his call as Zach cries out "Pile Smash!"
His strike cancels out most of Benkei's, but not all of it. A single golden sheet slaps him lightly in the chest, shoving the slightly taller fighter back a quarter step. Zach looks at Benkei, resisting the urge to taunt. Instead, he simply waves the younger man onward.
Benkei blinks as Zach mostly negates his ultimate technique, pushing his black-rimmed glasses up the bridge of his nose. "Golly!" He takes two steps forward, before lashing out with a side kick aimed at Zach's chest. "Try this on for size!" he cries, before shouting, "HIIIYAAA!"

Zach is caught slightly off-guard by Benkei's forward charge, bringing his arms up just a moment too close. The kick lands sqaurely in the middle of Zach's chest, driving the purple haired fighter back several steps. It looks like that kick may have stung just a bit.
But it hurt Zach's pride just a bit more. Zach brings up a fist, energy rolling off of it before solidifying into a sort of gauntlet, which Zach obligingly drives into Benkei's stomach with thunderous force!

Benkei jukes to the side with a lean, and narrowly avoids the punch. "Ha HA! You can't do nothin' 'bout it!" he explains, before returning to his stance. He throws several feint punches at Zach as he circles, trying to get him off guard. "C'mon, Mr. Glen! Impress me!" He then lashes out with a powerful punch, aimed at Zach's face.

Zach sees Benkei coming in with the punch. He grins slightly as he steps into the strike, catching the punch square on the jaw. The start of a good bruise is already showing as Zach continues his forward movement.
"Don't go crying to the Old Man," Zach says. "Because you're asking for it." Zach drops his shoulder and surges forward. More energy spills forth, covering Zach like so much armor plating even as the youth worker simply barrels into the boy with almost unnatural speed. Or perhaps psycho-power boosted speed. Take your pick.

"Gonna have to do more than /that/!" he says, before he rushes forward with his hand held in chopping position. "HIIIIYAAA!" he cries, bringing the crushing chop down at Zach's shoulder.

Zach takes the chop squarely, his forward momentum making dodging an impossible proposition. Zach stumbles before turning to face Benkei. "Right then," Zach says evenly.
And then the light show starts. Purple energy erupts from under Zach's feet, illuminating the alley and casting a long shadow of the Todoh fighter. The psychic energy is so pervasive, so intense, that even Benkei might start to feel it in the form of an incipent headache.

"It's not chi at all," Zach yells. He's tried explaining this to the students that what he wields is not chi. It's something else entirely, but does anyone listen? Hell no.
Zach whips out a hand, catching the punch firmly in his palm. "You tell me to impress you," he says. "That I shouldn't hold back." Zach smirks. "If you can't handle the heat," Zach growls. "YOU SHOULD STAY OUT OF THE KITCHEN!"
And then the light show increases as Zach simply releases all of the energy he has kept pent-up during this pick-up fight. Everything in the alley, including the dumpsters laden with rubble are sent tumbling around under the insane concussive force brought on by the psycho-power wielder.
That headache's about to get much worse.

Benkei stumbles backwards as the wind picks up, dodging through debris as it flies at him. He ducks under a flying dumpster, before hopping over a crate. As the attack finally stops, leaving Benkei unarmed, he simply smiles. "Is that it?" He rushes forward, leaping up and lashing out at Zach's face with his knee. "HIYAAA!"

Zach frowns as he slips to one side. This has the net-effect of taking the knee in the shoulder instead of the face. The kid is hyper. Frenetic, even. Zach decides to slow things down a bit, to try and take control of the pacing. Glen takes a couple of short hops back, not saying anything at all.
Instead he tries to catch his breath, and allow some of that insane energy of his to repair some of the damage.

He fumbles about his gi, pulling out his inhaler, and taking two puffs. His breathing crisis abated, he slips his inhaler away. "Come on, you planning on actually hitting me?"

The shot comes in, and Zach grins, going to that old standby. "Pile Smash!" The sheets come down, and instead of simply slowing the slowing the chi strike down, completely erases the incoming projectile in a clash of gold and purple.
Benkei frowns deeper as his huge explosion of force is entirely halted by Zach's maneuver. "You can't avoid me all day, Mr. Glen! Benkei Bunya will have SATISFACTION!" He steps in close, attempting to get his leg behind Zach's heel, before shoving him with a hand.

Glen then grabs the student by the front of his short and surges psychic energy through his muscles to help assist in heaving Benkei down the alleyway. "USE CHI!" As if to illustrate this, Zach slams a bolt of pure psychic force through his arms to lash out at the Todoh student.

Zach pulls one hand back, and pours will into the open palm. A sphere spins into existance, even as elliptical spirals start to whirl around inside of the purple globe. "I'd have to call it soul."
Zach then drives the whirling, spinning mass of psycho-power into Benkei's ribcage!

Zach shoves Benkei back hard, removing all of the momentum from the knee strike even as the older man hops back. "Sure there isn't," Zach says with more than a bit of sarcasm as the energy flares to life once more. It wraps around him like a cloak, seeming to seep into him.
Zach's breathing slows down considerably as this happens. "I'm not the only one who does. There's Athena, for instance. And Rose, I think. And Alma Towazu, the guy who owns the Youth Center." Zach gets his mind back in the fight, snapping a quick, purple-limned kick to Benkei's head. "Some call it psycho power, but the guy who really likes to call it that is insanely creepy. And evil."

That stops Zach cold. He looks more than a little pissed off by this. "Hey! You were the one who was all 'Don't hold back' and 'Show me what you've got'" Zach does a passible imitation of Benkei as he does these things. "And now that I've tagged you once, you're crying?"
As if reacting to Zach's anger, the energy roars to life once more. "Just go home, kid. Fighting isn't a game!"

Zach glares at Benkei. "Now that's the spirit, kid," Zach says even as he steps forward and throws a high punch. Too high, in fact. It misses Benkei /completely/. The kick catches Zach in the knee as a result of the change in stance.
The wide swath of psychic energy that blasts forth from the ground, however, slams into the student, picking him up and throwing him almost thirty feet down the alley. The energy still whips around, almost like some kind of angry serpent responding to Zach's thoughts. "You'd best treat this with respect," Zach says. "Or else you're going to get seriously hurt."
Benkei is sent flailing down the alley, and lands on his back, bouncing several feet before coming to a halt. "Ow! That stung!" He pulls himself to his feet, as his hands glow with chi and heat rolls of him, making the little teen sweat. "It's time to end this!" Zach rocks under the assault of the rapid-fire punches. Too many, too quickly. The psychic slumps to one knee. He looks up at the student with a tired grin.
"Well," he says. "I'll say this for you. You're more of a challenge than Daniel was." He flips his hand over, exposing his palm to the sky. The sphere spins and spins and spins into existance once more. It glows brightly, almost too bright to look at. But the headachey, which likely hasn't receded at all during the fight given how much psychic power Zach's been throwing off, is likely to be a bit worse as Glen slams that sphere towards Benkei.

Benkei's hands, still glowing with chi, intercept the sphere with a quick whack. It goes flying aside, hitting a wall. "Huwah...That was a tough fight! But I won! Master Todoh was wrong, I /can/ take his students out! Hooray!" He turns, and limps down the alley, returning triumphantly to the Todoh Dojo.

Zach lets out a snort as Benkei goes tromping off. He's fairly certain that there will be a rematch. Glen will be ready for it. But first things first. He needs to get some serious ice action going, as well as all that work he set aside for this fight.
