Benkei Bunya stands in the clearing, fiddling with some tools. He's got a small rocket set up, and is presently prepping it for launch. He pushes his thick black glasses up his nose as he works, getting his experiment ready to go. "They said I was crazy! They said I was mad! But now, now, they shall see the might of BENKEI BUNYA! MWAHAHAHAHA!"
It's a beautiful day. The sun is shining, the birds are singing, and Yuno has been wandering through the forest, enjoying the sights and sounds of nature as he--
What IS that loud sound?!
It doesn't take long for Yuno to track down the source of all the shouting. What he finds is... actually a little bit of a disappointment. Not that he shows it at all, looking quite curious as he wanders over towards Benkei, and his rocket. "What... are you doing?" He asks, looking a little confused. It wasn't every day that you run across something like this... but Benkei's shouting aside, it just looked like, well, a toy. It wasn't anything serious, was it?
Benkei looks up at Yuno. "You're just in time! I've created a three stage rocket to launch into the atmosphere. According to my calculations, this should reach space!" He looks back to his rocket, taking a step backwards. "Master Todoh said it was a waste of time, but he was wrong! Oh, he was wrong! WHAT HATH SCIENCE WROUGHT?"
Yuno blinks slightly. "Hey, wait a second... Todoh?" He asks, looking from the rocket, then back at the strange boy. "Uuuuh... isn't he a martial artist?" he really -is- curious now. Surely a rocket couldn't be connected to martial arts, somehow, could it? It seemed pretty far fetched to him. What is it going to be? Some kind of... rocket... punch?
Benkei nods at Yuno. "Yes, he's my sensei! I am learning the way of TODOH-RRYYYYUUUU under him! But first...Launch time!" He holds a remote, counting down. "Five...Four...Three...Two...One...LAUNCH!" He hits his button, and the rocket's bottom flares up with fire and smoke. It hovers into the air, before turning to the side. "OH NO! I HAVE MISCALCULATED!" Benkei cries, as the rocket flies directly at him and Yuno.

The rocket comes hurtling in, and Yuno acts on pure instinct. The staff on his back is swung up and around, and there's a couple of blows struck against it... which sends the rocket, unfortunately, swinging right the way around from Yuno, and smacking directly into poor Benkei instead!
"Gaaah! Sorry!" Yuno cries, looking, honestly, quite shocked. He hadn't /meant/ to do that. Honest!
Benkei gets hit in the face by the rocket, letting out a high-pitched shriek as he's knocked over. He stands back up after a few moments of shock, his face blackened by the rocket. "You bully!" he cries, swinging out to slap Yuno. "You should watch what you do with that stick of yours!"

Yuno tries to block the fist with the middle section of his staff. Unfortunately, this doesn't go quite according to plan, and instead the punch smacks firmly against the side of his head. "ACK!" He cries, stumbling back a couple of steps, "Look! I didn't mean to hit you!" He replies, hotly. "I'm sorry, but calm down, will you? It's not my fault your rocket was an accident waiting to happen!"
Benkei blinks at Yuno. "An...An accident waiting to happen?" This is followed by a high-pitched screech of, "UNNNNNNNNNNNNN!" "How dare you! You cad!" he cries, blushing dark red and slapping himself repeatedly on top of his head. "I'm gonna getcha now!" Golden chi glows around his hands, as he jerks them both down and cries, "KASANE ATE!" Twin ripples of chi trace their way along the ground, heading for Yuno.

In an instant, Yuno's staff has snapped together. The energy is met by the staff, which holds firm, and only a little washes over the boy proper. He was a little impressed, really. That was a pretty nicely done strike! Well. If it was a fight that he wanted, it was a fight he was going to get! Yuno doesn't say another word, coming in hard and fast, and aiming to drive the point of his staff up and into Benkei's chin.

Benkei steps aside from the blow, the staff flying near his face but failing to connect. "Ha ha! My Todoh-ryu reflexes win again!" He then drops low as he sweeps with his leg, aiming to knock Yuno off his feet. "Feel the pain brought by the great BENKEI BUNYA!"

Yuno is actually a little annoyed. The kick sends him to the ground, and he rolls with it as much as he can, "You have a very loud mouth!" Yuno complains, the boy uses his staff to catapult himself up from the ground as fast as he can... and aim to just kick Benkei in that mouth, to punctuate his point. He was tired of the bragging, mostly! If Mizuki-sama had hit him twice, he'd already be done!

Benkei leans back quickly, avoiding the kick. "Ha HA!" he cries. He then declares, "I, Benkei Bunya, shall destroy you for Master Todoh!" He steps in close, his knee jerking upwards with a blow meant for Yuno's ribs. "Eat this, you little weirdo!"

Yuno rolls backwards, breaking his staff as he goes. The boy really is getting tired of this, now, and he's got no intention of letting Benkei get away with statements like that! "I am not a weirdo!" He cries, "I don't know what your problem is, but I'm not going to lose!" And with that, his staff comes whipping out, aiming to tangle around Benkei's leg. If it manages it, he'll tug, and send the boy crashing to the dirt.

Benkei Bunya hops upwards as Yuno attempts to grab his ankles, avoiding the throw nicely. "Not going to lose? But you face the amazing might of Benkei Bunya, practitioner of Todoh-ryu!" He lashes out with a karate chop, aimed at Yuno's neck. "HIIII-YAAAAAH!"

Yuno brings his staff up, the blow thuds against it, and he grits his teeth. "You are very annoying!" He declares, coming up in a sudden rush, he aims to plough his shoulder into Benkei, and smack him around the head with his staff on the way over, as he tumbles up, and around, in a sudden... bizarre set of unstructured motions. Any instructor would be wincing at the lack of technique in the form.

Benkei jukes to the side, narrowly avoiding the combination attack. "Hahaha, you fight like a woman!" He winces a bit, remembering his recent first fight, where a woman beat him up. But not in this fight - he's doing good! Master Todoh would be proud! He reaches out and attempts to grab Yuno's neck, pressing his thumb into a nerve.

Yuno grits his teeth as the fingers find his shoulder, and his response is immediate. With a sudden grunt, the staff snaps together, and he aims to simply jam it right up Benkei's nose, the tip burning with a bright, fiery energy.

Benkei gets hit right in the nose by the staff. His glasses go flying as red blood splurts out of his face, Benkei stumbling backwards as he leaks blood all over his shirt. "Uwaaagh! That was mean!" he cries, tears dripping down his eyes. The scrappy little guy steps in close, swinging a fist at Yuno.

Again, Yuno's staff takes the brunt of the attack, but he was really getting tired of this. "YOU TRIED TO BLOW ME UP!" And with that, he brings the staff around in a blur, aiming to hammer Benkei into the ground.

Benkei reaches up, grabbing the staff out of mid-air. "I did not! It was an accident!" He then tosses the staff aside as his hands glow with golden chi, before he jerks both of them down. "KASANE ATE!" he cries, sending chi waves rippling across the ground at Yuno.

The energy hammers into Yuno, and he grunts. Deciding that trying to talk about this was only going to get more and more frustrating, he stabs his staff into the ground between Benkei's legs, and wrench to the side, hoping to send him sprawling to the ground below. That last one had actually hurt!

Benkei's hand comes down, grabbing the staff between his legs, and preventing Yuno from wrenching him off his feet. "Hahahaha! I HAVE ULTIMATE POWAAAH!" he cries through his broken nose. He lashes out with his knee, aimed at Yuno's ribs.

Yuno frowns at that. Breaking his staff when Benkei comes in at him, it suddenly lashes up roughly halfway through Benkei's jump, and smashes through him. Knocking him clean out of the air. "No." He says, calmly. "You really don't."
Benkei gets swatted out of mid-air, and bounces to the ground. "Uwaaaah!" he cries, as he shakily gets to his feet. "That's it! THis calls for my...Ultimate TECHNIQUE!" He does a martial arts pose, before his fist shoots forward. "NIMROD...HAMMAH!" he shouts.

Yuno makes a swift motion, doing his best to turn the attack aside... instead, he winds up getting punched straight in the nose, and he goes down. He doesn't get back up.
Benkei picks his glasses up, and flexes. "AWWW YEAH!" He darts off through the woods, eager to tell Master Todoh of his victory!
