Yurika - Frilly Big Deal

Description: It's one thing to break one's will to make them your slave.. When one is handed to you on a silver platter, however, it's a completely different story for Yurika Kirishima. This could be the beginning of a somewhat awkward relationship when math-wiz Kurenai Takayanagi comes into the picture.

Of course who is transferring in and out of Seijyun is knowledge that Yurika Kirishima likes to keep up on. It was a surprise, though a pleasent one, to the young council president that a familiar name would be returning to her life. Unfortunatly she hadn't had time right away to properly show the girl around the campus and to her room, but now that she's finished up with some more bothersome work (both inside and outside Seijyun), she finally has found time to not just return to the dormitory, but drop by the room of the one named Kurenai as well.

It's well after classes, the halls and activity rooms are fairly occupied, Yurika greeted with the usual curteys and such as she makes her way to the room she had reserved for the girl. '314' It's a very subtle joke, though she has a feeling the girl may not be to pleased to be two floors above the pres but.. That will have to be for the time being. She's dressed as she usually is with light blue/white apparel, and she has a package in hand, wrapped up in silver wrapping paper. Finally, she knocks on the door.

Kurenai has been... pretty busy. Busy busy. Well, not super-busy, but she -has- been to Spain in the week she's been here--travel is SO easy... and she got a bit banged up for all that. But it was a very -interesting- time. After her classes, of course, she went back to her dorm room--number three-fourteen... and she's been relaxing. Her roommate is pretty well gone--a flighty girl, given to socializing endlessly, and while Kurenai is pretty social herself, she doesn't mind quiet time.

Quiet time, however, is just about to be done, as the door is knocked on; Kurenai sits up from her bed and calls out, "Just a moment..." Slipping her slippers on, she pads over to the door, almost knowing who is behind it. Then she opens the door, the heavy slab of wood swinging easily on oiled hinges.

"Yurika-dono," she says, already smiling warmly. In another world, another time, these two might simply have just been friends. But here, and now, their relationship is both far deeper and more complex...

Yurika knows all about keeping busy, it's of no surprise that Kurenai would be doing the same but hopefully she won't be keeping too busy for long! Once the door opens, Yurika's dark eyes shift a bit, and then the smile is returned with one of her own- Her usual mysterious little smile as she holds out the wrapped present. Inside would be stainless steel canteen, Yurika's found such an item to be very helpful, hopefully it'd be just as helpful for her younger schoolmate. "For you, it's a bit of a housewarming gift." she explains. "I was quite delighted to hear you'd be here at Seijyun, I see your hair is still pink.."

She doesn't say the last bit in a scolding manner or anything. Perhaps she's just guessing it isn't her natural color. "Would it be all right for me to come in for a bit?"

"Oh! Well, I-- Thank you, Yurika-dono. You really didn't have to." But, she does take the gift, already planning on treasuring it. She's got enough self-control to not just tear it open, though; the gift is set down on her desk, Kurenai turning away from the door to do so. She just assumed that Yurika would in fact be coming in. When she's -asked-, Kurenai turns around, with wide eyes.

"Of -course- you can come in, Yurika-dono. My door would never be closed to you." And she means it, as she moves further into the room, pulling out the Seijyun-issued chair and turning it to provide the musician with a comfortable seat. At the mention of her hair, she reaches up to touch one puffball of hair and she nods. "That it is... I was very happy to be assigned here, too. Are things going alright here?" The question is carefully worded, to have meaning on multiple levels, of course, though the delivery, as Kurenai hops onto her bed, bouncing once on the surface, is quite natural and innocent.

Yurika blinks rapidly a few times to Kurenai's response. It's been quite a long time since she had been addressed in that manner and really, she's just not used to being on the recieving end of such... Fondness, is the word? No, perhaps it's something else, but it isn't coming to mind. "Thank you," she replies as she steps in.

The offered seat is taken, hands resting on her lap and trying not to let her eyes wander about the room too much. Yurika tends to be a very nosey girl, the most she could do is hold herself back on the first visit. "It was no trouble at all, really, I've felt in quite a giving mood lately. As for around here, well.. As you may have heard I am the Student Council President here. I've been involved in a lot of things here but, the main objective is still moving rather slowly."

A brief pause. "My brother has been keeping unusually low, and so I've had to work hard to try and take the initiative." another pause. "I'm afraid due to the Thailand incident, things have gotten very sensitive."

The room isn't very different from any other dorm room at Seijyun. Some posters up, mostly of J-pop stars (her roommate's), desks, beds, clothes... the most conspicuous thing in the room on Kurenai's side of the bed is the oversized yardstick that is her weapon, propped up next to the headboard of her bed. Kurenai slides her hands back, leaning on them, adopting a rather casual position as she gazes at the young woman who is now her 'master'... a relationship that most probably wouldn't understand, but Kurenai undestands perfectly.

"Yes, I'd heard that you'd attained the Presidential position... congratulations." She does frown, the tiniest bit, to hear that Yurika's plans are moving slower than expected... but that isn't a frown of disapproval, just one of sympathy. "I see... that is unfortunate." But it -is- a big goal Yurika's set for herself.

"Is Kurow-dono... alright?" She never considered him to be the kind of person to lay low for long--if he's been laying so low that even the Takayanagi family hadn't heard about it... but then, who's to say that they've told her everything?

"Is there anything I can do to help the... ah... mission... along?" That -is- why she's here, after all. As an afterthought, Kurenai smiles. "Oh! I uh, I kind of signed up for that... 'Saturday Night Fight'..." She has the grace to look abashed, blushing a light pink. "It sounded like fun."

"To my understanding he's well, I'm not worried about him.. Too much," Yurika replies. She's used to being away from him for long amounts of time- it isn't much different from the first time they were seperated for him to undergo whatever kind of training assassins go through. "He planned out something that he hasn't even told me about. I can only guess once he returns things will move forward.. Faster than I'd be comfortable with, I'm sure." she confesses with a soft chuckle.

Yurika doesn't like to rush things, she's considerably more patient than her younger brother of course. "At present I have no plans for you, but that won't be for much longer. There are many things I'll need to reconsider now that you're added to the equation, Kurenai. Though I'm pleased to hear you've gotten involved with Saturday Night Fight, that is something I really do not wish to do myself.. I believe it'll be a good way to assist you in your combat skill and I know it'd be a bit much to say 'take it seriously' considering the rather, ah, unorthodox situations most combatants end up in. I wish you the best of luck."

A nod. If Yurika isn't going to worry about Kurow (much), then Kurenai won't either. Kurow is not her favorite person and in any case, she's been assigned to Yurika, meaning Yurika Kirishima is nearly her sole concern. The pink puffballs of hair bob with the nod, as Yurika confesses that her brother... had made plans. "He did seem to be the..." She was about to say scheming. Which is entirely true. But so is Yurika. And that isn't a -bad- thing. "... adaptable type. I'm sure whatever he's doing he's doing well."

Then her eyes fall upon Yurika again. "I'll do everything I can for your cause, Yurika-dono, you know that. This... 'SNF'... I am hoping that I'll be able to hone my skills in it, and familiarize myself with more of the fighters around here. I'm lacking in practical experience, and so... I'd like to correct that." Those are her reasons, and she's sticking to them. And it'll be fun, of course.

"When you know what you want me to do, please let me know, Yurika-dono..." And she'll let her family know, as a matter of course, before or while she's doing her assignment.

"Thank you very much, Kurenai, I'm greatly appreciative of your help, and no pressure but.." Yurika's smile becomes a touch myschivous, "I will be keeping an eye on you during your matches, and will provide you with a couple of tests.. Not tests of your legiance, but to get a better idea of your current combat skill so I may assign you properly. I warn you, while it does appear to be entertaining, some participants are extremely dangerous. But experience with a little danger again, I believe, will do you well."

With that Yurika gets to her feet, hands folded in front of her, "I also hope I'll be able to introduce you to some of our allies soon. Many are stationed here in this school, actually. I apologize for cutting things short, but I'd best be on my way, but I'll keep in touch. And you know where you can find me."

"Of course, Yurika-dono." She would expect no less. Of course, these tests probably aren't based on 'winning'... but how she does in the fight, how she performs and how she acts. She will keep that in mind. A smile.

"It would be an honor to see you at this fight, but... of course I can't ask." Which she just did. SNEAKY. Kurenai rises as well, which just means she slips off her bed and stands upright. Smallish thing, innit she?

"I know it'll be dangerous, but so is... life. I don't mind the danger, but I'll be careful. I'm not particularly looking to be hurt badly. I'm trusting, for the most part, that the presence of the TV crews will keep anything -really- untoward from happening..."

"And it was a pleasure and an honor to have you drop by, Yurika-dono. I will, of course, let you know if I see anything interesting. Oh yes," she says, reminded, "Are there any persons I should be, ah, looking out for?"

Most likely will be about, but not because Kurenai asked, of course.. It wasn't long ago that Akira had mentioned getting involved, and so had her schedule cleared in advance. Tsk. "Hmn I just so happen to have that day free, now that you mention it. That is a rather good idea." Yurika is similarly sneaky.

"If the match up is against a familiar opponent, perhaps I'll be able to give a little advice.. Oh! Yes, I'm glad that you asked.." she reaches into her handbag, and withdraws a small manilla pouch, it sort of looks like the kind that you'd get from a photo lab. It has photos and a very brief report of the people she's been closer involved with: Akira, Kentou, Roberto, Sada, Ninon, and Raizo.

"I had been talking with Alexis for a while, during my search for someone to take over for me when I graduate. I may be forced to look for someone else.. In here are people I've developed contacts with, whom you may want to get familiar with. As for you to personally keep an eye on, there's no such person at present.." Not even Choi who's been a pain in the butt lately.

Sneaky is as sneaky does, and Kurenai nods. "I look forward to it, Yurika-dono." The girl taps her chin for a moment, "Advice, hmm? That would be useful, wouldn't it? If it isn't.. you know, blatantly breaking the rules. At least where they can see." She smiles, then reaches forward, taking the envelope and fanning the pictures, committing them to memory quickly. She looks once, then once again, just to make sure; she'll read the brief biographies later, returning her gaze to Yurika.

"I see. If I do happen to see them out and about I will keep an eye out... isn't that Principal Raizo...?" She pauses. "He really does look like a bear, doesn't he? A bear with a monocle... well, if there's no one for me to look for personally then I'll maybe just try and get into contact with a few of these people if I can. Casually." She smiles.

"It really is good to see you again, Yurika-dono... I hope we can speak again soon."

Yurika curtseys once more, "I'll also be looking forward to speaking to you again, there really is much to discuss and brief you on." her cheeks pinken just a touch.. It really is a bit awkward being faced with such devotion! But hardly unpleasent. "Raizo is currently training me. It'd be best not to mention that to Kurow; I'll explain more on that later. Otherwise, your plan will be fine.. Have a good day." and she turns, making her exit.
