Description: NaeoLeague. Katelynn and Naerose kind of get along and have a friendly bout. It is rare for anyone to appreciate Naerose but Katelynn manages to find some respectable qualities in the witch during this rather unusual at times battle. And by unusual we mean fairly typical, for Naerose. Property damage occurs. (Winner: Katelynn)
It's a nice day out in Southtown near Gedo High School, and the perfect setting for a Neo League matchup. A lot of students have gathered to watch the event, along with other locals, ready to cheer on the fighters. Vendors are selling refreshments at reasonable prices (imagine that!) and seating is available on the ground and in comfortable chairs. The fighting area is set up with speakers and a monitor so those who are far away can get a glimpse of the action. Regardless of what kind of view you have, it's gonna be quite the matchup today it looks like.
"Ladies and gentlemen," The ring announcer states. "Welcome to today's Neo League match. Introducing first, from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, in the United States of America, Katelynn Molina!" At that, Katelynn walks into the fighting area, discards her jacket, and waves to the crowd, before proceeding to her corner to start warming up slightly. The outfit might seem a little unusual for a Shotokan fighter, but it's her choice of attire and as long as she can fight effectively in it, it's all fair.
"And in the other corner, from Alameda New Mexico, Naerose Delphine!" At that, no actually well before that the witch is not where she is meant to be, but instead going around try to change the signs to add an 'a'. Apparently wanting them all to read 'Naeo League'. Worse yet, if that wasn't bad enough, she's going to argue with the announcer.
"Naeo, that's Naeo league" cries the witch and totally goes about moving to where she is supposed to be with a broom. You know this was far from a mixed martial art style match, it was instead more along the lines of well the freaky kind of fighting that you see in southtown. Naerose fights with a broom for goodness sake! The witch is all sorts of ready for what is to come, and by that we mean she has her brom, but if by that you were supposed to mean she's actually ready for a fight, she looks like ready to get her hands on some of that fine vendor food. Not exactly free but reasonably priced. Unfortuately. She has no money.
"Hey, is there like a winning for winning this?"
Katelynn cracks her knuckles as she sees her opponent approach... and does a double-take as she recognizes the witch from her outfit and her broom. An old rival from before. One she hadn't seen in awhile, but is now apparently meeting up with again, and based on how she's encountered this person before, things always turn out very interesting.
"Naerose," Katelynn says to herself, smirking a little. "I haven't seen her in awhile. This is gonna be fun I'm sure." She grins and bows to Naerose, before getting into her fighting stance.

"Umm.. Hi Katelynn. So umm. Wht is it we're gonna go do..? Oh fight fight. I hope I can borrow a bit for some of the vendors.. " The witch decides that the best way to be getting herself some of these treats is by showing that she can take on Katelynn and that is a lot.
"Okay, so lets get this over with, seriously, I'm hungry, ". Good to see you and all."
The witch makes her first move, trying to get Katelynn off guard with her broomstick.

"Hungry, huh? Well, maybe after the fight, we can go to lunch together... if you're not too badly beaten, that is," Katelynn says with a sly smirk. She can appreciate Naerose's impatience, since she's been in situations like that before, namely patience tests by her father where she specifically had to do so on an empty stomach. Nonetheless, she did learn patience, but it's not always easy. But anyway, let's get back to the fight, shall we?
When Naerose comes at Katelynn with the broom, the karate fighter is ready to defend. Her guard is quite on the money as she gets into a defensive stance, deflecting the broom away and giving Katelynn the upper-hand, or fist, as she'll soon show Naerose.
"If you're thirsty, how about a little fruit PUNCH?" Katelynn says with a sly grin as she drives a swift punch at Naerose's stomach. It may not fill her up too well, but such is the life of a fighter.

"Err, hey wai!" The witch only manages to back off a little. The offer of fruit punch might of been first met with a sort of biiig grin, but it wasn't the tasty drink she totally thought she was going to be receiving it was instead something much less nice it was.. a punch! And it only glances off her shoulder. Which is better than being hit the witch finally decides and goes on about her life.
"Hey, lunch really? You totally got a deal!" excais the witch and then chases the fist, after all, it's a closed hand and may or may not actually have fruit punch in there right right? So the witch tries to grab the hand and force it opened to get the wonderful punch out of it, or just fling Katelynn down.

Katelynn sees Naerose reaching for her hand, and realizes she doesn't have time to pull away, as the witch has pretty much got her by the time she knows what's happening. So rather than try to avoid the inevitable, Katelynn braces herself for the throw. Almost immediately, she finds herself in the air and then being flung down onto the ground. Hurts a bit, but Katelynn's got a surprise for Naerose.
It appears that Katelynn shifted herself so she'd land in a crouching position, which explains why it hurts a bit more than it normally does, but it also sets Katelynn up for a counter attack. "You know, I may not have a broom, but I can still sweep you off your feet!" Katelynn says as she goes for the ankles with a foot sweep.

While Katelynn maybe thinking about sweeping the witch off ehr feet, the witch is only got one thing in her mind. Namely the 'offer' made earlier about getting lunch together.
"Hey were you serious about getting lunch together?" asks Naerose while trying to user her shin to deflect the kick and then swings around to send a kick of her own. This was certainly a very slow paced match they were having together.
"Cause I am totally game for that." And all of a sudden, Naerose seems more laid back but more than that she's looking quite friendly toward the other fighter. Just the offer of food and Naerose is totally going to take a moment after trying to kick Katelynn to pull out her red cell phone, type some things into it and 'friend' Katelynn on her facebook.

Do unto others, huh? Well, Katelynn would reply to Naerose, but she's not exactly in the best of mood for that right now. She's attempting to evade Naerose's shot at her shins, but it doesn't work. The attack hits, and it hurts worse than it usually does. Katelynn staggers backwards, holding the injured shin in pain, gritting her teeth.
When she looks back at Naerose, her casual attitude is replaced with a scowl. "You're running the risk of losing lunch after that!" The fighter cracks her knuckles again, but doesn't do much, except for wait to see if Naerose is going to use her cell phone again or try something else.

"Hey wait, that's not fair! I'm only doing what I'm supposed to do!" Exclaims the witch and pouts a little more before deciding that whining will get her no where, so she decides to crack jokes instead. "Here, I'll get us started again, you know rythem. Lets see.. I began with a poke so .." Naerose tries to poke Katelynn againn like she did before. Using the tip of her broom the witch tries to prod at Katelynn with little more than a standard jab.

Now poking someone isn't exactly polite in most cases, and this is one of those cases. And as for Katelynn's mood, Naerose shouldn't worry too much, she just needs to blow off some steam. Unfortunately for Naerose, that would involve Katelynn doing something about that attempt to poke her.
As soon as Naerose comes at her, Katelynn drops down a little, extending one foot forward almost like she were doing a split, and then strikes Naerose with her palm in the stomach. Hard. Namely because she's focusing her chi into it as well. She stands up and watches to see how far Naerose goes, a smirk starting to form once again. "Have a nice trip!" She says aloud.
Naerose doesn't have a nice trip, of course, though she does at least fall a long ways to end in face plant. Picking herself up was no picknick either, but then, what do you expect. Face plants hurt and even as the ground is left with a Naerose shaped impression (somehow the face has a grin on it (because when Nae-nae was young her mother said if she made faces they'd stick (They did))).
"Ouch, okay, umm, you're scary up close, lets play it this way, I stay over here, you stay over there and we trade nice things. Here is some ice for making your umm bumps feel better. Sagitta Minor!" the witch flings her hand in the air sending a ice shards toward Katelynn and leaping back at the same time.

Hey, when you're hot, you're hot, and when you're not, you're not. And in this case, Katelynn is a little bit hot, but that doesn't mean she needs that ice from Naerose. As it comes at her, Katelynn focuses intently on the incoming projectile. And then, at the last second, she deflects it to the side in the blink of an eye.
"Thanks, but I really didn't need that much ice," The karate fighter replies with a smirk. "But as for lunch, why don't you have a little appetizer, courtesy, of course, of yours truly!" And with that, Katelynn brings her fist back to focus her chi into it, and then releases it in the form of a blue sphere, aimed right at Naerose.

To work with the attack Katelynn makes, Naerose rushes forward, on her broomstick and flies over the projectile, skipping off of it and dismounts right as she ends up where Katelynn is, her expression really big in that she was able to get over the attack at all, cause lets face it, Naerose is not prone to acts of awesome.
"Here goes nothing, En Criento!" cries the witch and you know, it's all dramatic and stuff with flashing lights and an over taxed special effects department who is using computers to generate everything because it's cheaper, but they have deadlines, are under paid and over worked.
Yeah, that and a ball of white explosive energy bursts out of Naerose's hand and makes destruction on the spot.

It's coming right back at Katelynn it seems, only bigger and badder. And in a situation like this, sometimes it's best to just stand your ground and prepare for the inevitable. Which is exactly what Katelynn does as the ball comes at her, standing firm and attempting to absorb the blow as best as she can. But boy does it hurt.
"You know, I'm really starting to work up an appetite. I'd suggest the loser pays, but what's to say this won't end in a draw?" Katelynn says, still smiling despite the fact she's still having trouble standing up due to her bad shin. She tries not to focus on it as she goes to Naerose and attempts to administer a simple shoulder throw.

On hitting Naerose, who managed to brace herself with her heel dug in, the witch is only caused to stumble back a bit. Hardly more than a stagger but still losing soe balnce before she has a chance to hit back. The witch decides to risk it. Taking the momentum afforded her with the attack Naerose does a bit of a spin sort of move and tries to use her broom to hit Katelynn with a slash type of wide sweeping motion. Though there is doubt, sort of doubt, etched in her features. She looks likes like someone who is concerned with hitting a target and more someome who is concerned with getting hit, also just totally aloof. If none of this made sense welcome to Naerose. All you need to know is she tries to sweep Katelynn cross the midsection with her broomstick

Unfortunately, Katelynn's not exactly in the mood to be swept today. In fact, her clothes were washed before she came to the match today. So it looks like Naerose's gonna have to put up with another Palm Blaster. Again the palm hits hard and gives Katelynn more breathing room, and as she stands up, she's shaking her head, tsking.
"Apparently, your strategy isn't working too well. Perhaps you need to find another one," She says, folding her arms and smirking briefly, before returning to her fighting stance.
"Yeah really." grumbles Naerose while picking herself up from a somewhat crouched position and eyeing Katelynn carefully. She uses a dainty Naerose style hand (a regular hand which is rather delicate (she never punches (she's kind of weak!! ))) to wipe her chin. Red painted nails and all, but she needs to attack.
"Man. I need a moment or two for a breather.." The witch concludes and presses her lips together.
"Scratch that, no time." She concludes and goes for the big guns, reaching into her hat she pulls out a pixie stick and shoves it in her mouth, wrapper and all.
"Right, this is kind of like a reset for me. I made some mistakes, but this match is hardly over!"
She eats the pixie goodness and now her tongue and teeth are all red. It was cherry <3.
"Here I come..!" exclaims Naerose, running straight at Katelynn,
"Special love devliery!"
She tries to glomp her.

Unfortunately, Katelynn isn't quite in the mood to be glomped. She knows it's a sign of affection, and it's always great to have, but in a fight like this, it's completely different. Katelynn attempts to run away, but she finds herself being glomped by Naerose. And in this case, she really doesn't like it.
"Get off me, willya?!" Katelynn shouts as she attempts to break free from the hold. When she finally does so, she backs away quickly, trying to give herself some more breathing room. And then she closes her eyes, focusing her chi into her body to ease her pain and regain some fighting spirit.

The witch is forced back by Katelynn's unwillingness to be glomped by her. Total and complete rebuke. "Awww," she begins to whine and then reconsiders, "You know actually.. " The witch scratchse her head and consider Katelynn for a moment or two before deciding what she'll do next.
"Oh snap, I can't make any decisions, er.. here.." The witch says and reaches down to gather up some pebbles from the side of the sectioned off area, it is a riverbed afterall
"Sorry, but I need some time to think about tomorrow." She claims and then hurls the clot of rocks and dirt at Katelynn, probably trying to keep her back and maybe even blind her a little

Now _that_ is a true example of dirty fighting. Fighting with dirt and rocks, if that isn't dirty fighting, then what exactly is? That's what Katelynn is wondering when she sees what Naerose has planned for her. But fortunately, Katelynn is too smart for that. She simply makes some kind of defensive maneuver that knocks the dirt and rocks away.
With the referee calling out a warning about that truly dirty tactic, Katelynn takes advantage of the moment to utilize one of her favorite moves. She jumps back a few steps and then gets a running start, before pushing off her back foot and flying directly at Naerose with a real flying kick. And boy is she going fast!

It was sure going to be a big fire fight here. Katelynn has a favorite move that is fast and Naerose has a favored move which is just pure destructive. While one comes at the other all leg and lots of leg, the other comes back with two barrels of destruction. In almost slow motion (surely the high speed cameras would play this replay as one of the most hilarious failure videos of all time.) When the witch charges BOTH arms together, intending to put it together to a blindly white dazzling display of light she does so. . . Only after Katelynn already gets past her guard. The kicking karate black belt delivering her pain to Naerose even as Naerose succeeds in her attack, only the attack misses Katelynn COMPLETELY and destroys they next two food vendors.. completely. The AIG for fighters insurance company quickly purchases the rights to this video as an example of why fighters need insurance. Not for their own health, but for that of the stuff they destroy in the process of fighting. Even as Naerose sails through the air from Katelynn's kick and realizes what she just did (thousands of dollars worth of damage) she doesn't fully grasp the gravity of the situation. But that is the funny thing about gravity. It pulls you, it is a reality check. This one reality check's Nae-nae's face right into the ground.
Fighters need insurance, indeed. Not to mention an organ donor card if things really get out of hand. But that's why there are referees and other rules to make sure that nobody actually gets killed. Although if it's an audience member, that's another story. That's where a fighter's lawyer steps in. But enough of these technicalities. Let's get back to our fight, shall we?
Katelynn recovers from the kick and moves back, keeping an eye on the downed witch. She knows that even when weakened, a fighter is still capable of anything.

Naerose is slow to pick herself up and rubs her head. Woah. Then she sees the two stands, reduced to rubble. For the record no one was hurt in the filming of this fight. If there is one thing people quickly learn it is that Naerose is not the most controlled of people, she's quite off her rocker and her attacks might fly places entirely unintended.
"I'm not sure.. er if I totally meant to do that or not." She admits, afterall, she completed the attack, just failed in hitting her intended target. Katelynn. The witch turns her attention toward the karate black belt again and adjusts her shades.
"Alright, looks like I'm on the ropes.

Katelynn's a little slow too, given that she's still got that bad shin along with a few other problems. Nonetheless, her limp seems to be less noticeable as she regains her fighting stance. The referee asks her if she's OK as a precaution, and Katelynn nods, before turning to face Naerose again. Seems that the witch is running out of fight, but she knows Naerose and that Naerose will fight till the end using any and every trick in the book. And maybe some not written in the book.
"Come on, I know you're better than this," Katelynn says in a taunting manner before attempting to deliver a swift roundhouse kick.

"Yeah. I'll show you the pain of the universe!" Exclaims Naerose who stands through the entire kick, letting it hit her as it would, low though as she moves forward and tries to kill some of Katelynn's wind up before reaching to take the other fighter around the throat. She lifts Katelynn into the air with one arm and then summons onto that the one point the darkest of chi like a pull and then explosion of gravity, the force of the cosmic energy sending the other fighter away from the witch who seems to have found some stride at least.
"The Darkness Nova!" cries Naerose at the climax of the attack.
Unfortunately, it seems Katelynn has gotten a bit too cocky for her own good. She finds herself grabbed and then blown away... literally. She lies on the ground, gasping for air and struggling to get back onto her feet, but her body hurts like hell, especially her shoulders. The referee looks at her and begins to count to ten. When he gets to three, Katelynn is starting to sit up. When he gets to five, Katelynn is struggling to get back onto her feet. At seven, she is back in her fighting stance, albeit rather weakly.
"You're pretty slick, you know that," Katelynn says while glaring at Naerose with a face that is battered and bruised. "But I'm not gonna let you take me down that easily." And with that, Katelynn drops down and attempts a sweep kick, but at the last second, pivots around and then delivers the actual kick, hoping to catch Naerose off guard.

"Uh oh!" is all you can hear from the witch who is totally taken off guard by the incoming sweep and nailed head on. Even though she's still got enough in the tank for something right..? Well it better be something good because she finds herself caught without legs! Actually she has them but they hurt.
"If you thought that was slick, try this one on for size." Exclaims Naerose who then hops on her brooom and shoots off suddenly after Katelynn, riding on the broomstick to try and grab her and hold onto her while she crashes into one of the only remaining vendors. One of the things noteworthy is hit or miss, Naerose is crashing into the vendor. The only question is, can she bring katelynn with her.

Naerose is coming in pretty fast, and it looks like she's really gonna crash, in more ways than one that is. And if Katelynn gets hit, she's going down too. But that's when Katelynn remembers that if she focuses just right, she can do this the way it should be done.
Katelynn closes her eyes for a moment and focuses on something, and suddenly everything seems to go in slow motion for her. Taking advantage, she jumps out of the way just in the nick of time. But when her focus fades, she drops to one knee, trying to catch her breath. Meanwhile, the referee declares a knockout and Katelynn the winner.
"Not bad, Naerose," Katelynn calls out as she's being helped up. "Looks like lunch is gonna be on you. Just heal up first, OK?" She smirks wryly.

"Yeah. Umm.." Naerose is helped out of the rubble which is awfully nice of Katelynn, "Hey, umm, could you spot me this one? I don't have any money." Admits Naerose. It wasn't a stretch, a bigger stretch would be her having the money. Probably someone ought to tell her not to make bets about who is going to win with a money thing if you lose when you have no cash to pay up. In some countries they take fingers.
