Neo League 801 - #801: Spider vs Fishmonster

Description: Spider sets to take on one of his enemies once again, but is instead met with a horror out of the archives of Lovecraft, or at least the old logs of MOTM. We could only mean the feared Fish Monster! The Fight rages on but in the end will the evil pervail or will Spider become the shining night in this Official Naeo League bout! (Winner:FishMonster)

Neo League has come once again to Sound Beach, this time to witness Naerose Delphine and Ari 'The Spider' Abraham beating on each other. The Spider stands in the center of a ring of people, smoking a cigarette. It's a high tar, Israeli brand, putting up quite a stink in the surrounding area. Over his eyes are a pair of mirrored aviator shades, the Spider waiting for his familiar opponent.

Somehow these fight people can contact Naerose, how? No one knows, Naerose doesn't even know, but she does show up. This time though she isn't doing anything too flashy, she is well, she ... wait is that Naerose? Coming out of the water, on her side of the senctioned off area, yes literally crawls out of the water and what it is? (This creature that everyone more or less accepts to be Naeose) is. . .

THE FISH MONSTER!

The fishmonster, for those unaware is a bad costume that looks like a big green fish with it's mouth opened (presumably where she sees out of) with arms and legs. It's slimy. It's smelly and .. it hasn't made an appearance in sometime, but here you have it Fishmonster!

COMBATSYS: Spider has started a fight here.

The Spider turns as the crowd points and gasps, raising an eyebrow. Then, he sees Naerose in a fishmonster suit. "What the fuck..." he mutters to himself, shaking his head back and forth. He departs the ring and walks to the waterline, pulling a throwing blade out of his jacket. He tosses it up and catches it by the blade, before flinging it at Naerose. "Hope you can fight in that."

COMBATSYS: Naerose has joined the fight here.

And then a war begins of knife versus SLUG as the Fish Monster vomits out grossness toward the oncoming knife, but the knife keeps going - no coated - and stinky before striking the target (the fish monster) and being devoured in the big mouth (where presumably there is actually a witch). Small children cry. Adults turn away as the sight is too gross to behold. Basically it looks liek what you would expect from a cheap halloween costume that had been left in the oacean for who knows how long. There was probably some real sealife living in and on that thing and the way it sloshes when she walks! It's like maybe the Fish Monster wasn't drained before put on.. Eww.

But the knife slows the advanec, causing the fishmonster to reconsider, has it just been hooked? Will this Fishmonster be the catch of the day?!

The Spider closes in on Naerose, grimacing at the horrid display. "Where'd you find that thing?" he asks, as his hand flings out towards the fish suit. He attempts to grab it, and throw the entire disgusting thing onto the beach and out of the water, so the Spider doesn't have to get his boots wet.

COMBATSYS: Naerose dodges Spider's Hymn of Solomon.

But the fishmonster is slippery, and more than that , it speaks, with a cloud of greenish mist that comes from it's mouth with a loud 'Bllarrgggele' sound, which causes some flowers to wilt and some birds to fall out of the sky, dead.

While trying to grab the fish monster you might find yourself grabbing onto ickiness and then worse yet, you might find yourself very much in a place you regret being. . - Your head and entire upper body stuck inside a fishsuit fish head. Yes the fish suit tries to envelope Spider.. with the biig gaping maw. The dark crevices, even as it approaches the attempt reek of ocean and ship wreck. Likely the horrors within are beyond the imagination of even Lovecraft, who had never, in his life thought of something so mundane as a mere fish monster suit, transformed by what great tragedy of Fail and witchness, inconceivable by scholars of all times.. . Oh the horror. The horror.

COMBATSYS: Spider blocks Naerose's Medium Throw.

The Spider finds his head and arms sucked into the fish monster's maw, the agent struggling before freeing himself. He's looking pale, and is getting sick to his stomach. He lashes out with a middle kick, aimed at Naerose's gut. "That thing is /disgusting/," he sneers, before vomiting all over the beach.

COMBATSYS: Naerose blocks Spider's Light Kick.

One could never forget the afternoon spent amongst the vile of creatures, whose very existence illicits a nausious sickly feeling like that of a long boat ride over the Bering Sea, with the scent of salt lingering like stale milk in the air and clinging to every surface. As if odor had a form that could defile your body, your skin, your flesh, with it's slimey coating, a foriegn mucus that refuses to come off of your body. The fish monsters every breath, expelling an air of such filth that the clouds could not wash away the taint left on the land, the minds of the people and perhaps worse yet.. Poor Spider. As if kicking it would be enough, the creation continues forward, a marching, slithering like a demon army set to deliver the final End to the world, right through any attempts of an attack. The foot bounces off and perhaps comes off with a film, like that left behidn the fish with every slithering step. An ecoplasm like goo, but if a scent could kill. If odor was alive and malificient as this force of scent would seem to be. Surely everyone would suffer a death most horrible. And if by reprieve the Fishmonster then slips on it's own sick - perhaps for the sake of Spider or the grace of some unnamed god, he would have to worry about the tail, that comes whipping around like so many propechies of desctruction. Inevitable, like a tidal wave.

COMBATSYS: Spider fails to counter Medium Strike from Naerose with Heart of a Maccabee.

The Spider gets knocked off his feet by the tail, and lands on his side. He continues vomitting, an incredible amount of brown and black goo coming out of his mouth. Spectators avert their eyes, at this horrible, disgusting fight.

Never shall they forget, those poor spectators, that afternoon where they came to the beach, like a beach of death. With the rotting carcases of some creature from the deep and the seaweed, life ending at the very foot of the cradle of life. The birds picking at the bones, carion feeders all of them somehow immune to the taste that lingers in the air, forcing you to experience their rot. No, they would not forget the trauma yet untouched to their sense of feeling adn yet assaulting every other one. The sight of the sea weed covered abomination, the smell of too many famenting thigns mingled together and yes, even the taste. However none would suffer as much as Spider, most like, whom after getting tail whipped might find himself under the imcoming force of the Fishmonster, like a tree bringing the cold grasp of death to a lumberjack, too slow to move, yes the fish monster teeters and then falls toward Spider. The terrified gasps of onlookers would be a scar on the brains of their children, already in line for years and years of intense theropy.

COMBATSYS: Spider fails to counter Quick Throw from Naerose with Star of Zion.

The fish falls on the Spider, and he wrestles with it, black ooze on either side of his mouth. "You fuckin' bitch! Get out of this thing, NOW!" the Spider screams, shaking with rage. He's quite frustrated at having to fight a stinky fishsuit (and currently getting his ass kicked by it).

And yet, one might question the nature of a fight. Was this really a fight or a string of amazing flukes. Was a trained soldier like Spider really engaged in a battle, or were the gods laughing. Their collective cries of amusement at the dismay of another, their malicious pokes and prods, all shown in the string of unfortunate events, leading to Spider's current situation. Surely the gods must be crazy, or worse. Their cruel game leading to further distress to those around this area where they ply their hand by supporting the struggles of a fish out of water, but this monster, no bengin creature of the deep surely is a crux on all of humaninty, bringing fourth such horror that one dare not describe. Even now as it tries to get off of Spider, fishy legs (regular legs coming out of the side of the fish suit like a mutant fish woman in green tights) threatens to knee Spider in the most prescious of places. His knees, his hips.. his stomach. Where ever the malign gods might endevour to see these knees land. The terror continues, like a nightmare you can't wake up from.

The Spider's knee rises, blocking the fishmonster's knee. The Spider sits up and springs to his feet, raising his guard. "I'm going to tear this thing off you, Naerose!" He swings a hard hook at Naerose, attempting to sink through the padding of the fish suit and do some damage.

COMBATSYS: Naerose endures Spider's Strong Punch.

Those brave souls who thought to encounter this southtown horror, this monster of the deep.. They would not know, how could they know? That this would be so terrible a thing.. that.. it would when touched, like reaching into a toilet, or a grave, the thing in the glass jar at sleep overs, they say it's brains, but you know it isn't except now you don't. Can Spider be sure that what he is striking is not something beyond words? Beyond comprehension..? Beyond all forms of speech? Can anyone be certain of such things. The mind plays cruel tricks when contemplating the deepest and darkest secrets of the world and of time. What does the ocean do to such a thing after countless hours, days, weeks, months, under the surface, festering with the life and death. Surely as the monster moves through the punch and the hand connects with something solid is that it connected with soft first, like a sponge that had been used on the filthiest of pans and then left, soggy, for days, weeks, in a greesy chicken pot. Oh yes, there is expelled liquids of unknown origins to tackle with but worse yet as the monster keeps going forward to touch Spider with it's entire god forsaken body.

COMBATSYS: Naerose successfully hits Spider with Random Strike.

The Spider has had just about enough of this game. "That's it!" he shouts as he's checked, staggering backwards. He aims to grab the fish, wrestling with its squiddy mess, and attempts to find Naerose's spine, so he can sink his fingers into it with a hard chop. "I'm never fighting you again!"

How fast can a fly move in vasoline. The petrolium jelly coating every limb, indeed neither can this fishmonster move out of it's native envirnment. The air does not suit it so well except as a place to deposit the lingering smell. Spider finds purchase and perhaps there is hope yet for our knight, but even as the fishmonster is struck, grabbed and struck on something hard, set to stun, it is only slowed down for a moment. The momentum as Spider tries to send it to Hades, the arid air almost a flash of memory and how nice fire would be to clense this evil - it is only momentary. The creature, this foul beast is set to a spin, like a top or a carosal or a draidle. Once a fun children's game this is no longer, each spin, like the world toward an abrupt demise gives the tail more power and that tail - a variable heap of slime at the back end of this monster - comes close, toward Spider, indeed, it seems to want to hit Spider, if it had a mind of it's own. Only one thing could describe this. Evil, untamed and unmerciful, unapologetic. Evil.

The Spider is struck by the tail, knocked over. "Urgh!" he grunts. In a last show of discipline, he attempts to grab at Naerose's leg - one of the only exposed parts - and ram his knee into the side, hopefully taking her out of this fight.

Gods, men, scientists, dogs and all other creatures have prayed for the day that doom would be removed from the world, that this Fishmonster would go back wence it came, but unforntuately prayers are the most fickle of things and Ancient Horrors are not. Whatever crack this Fish Monster crawled out of , no man can say, but they know now that it will not return. Not without a true act of heroism and effort from a stout heart. Spider had tried, so very hard, but his attack only caused the creature to slide backward, the very slime that caused death where ever it touched was slick for the creature and made it easier to move foward and back like a pulsating heart, beating in the opened chest cavity of a corpse. This horror would persist, at least a little longer. May god have mercy.
