Description: Zach and Aranha meet up in Castle Strolheim for another chat.
Aranha had spent his flight completely miserable. There was that damn kid who kept kicking the seat when he tried to sleep on the plane. As a result, Aranha isn't exactly his jovial self. With his lips turned down into a frown he looks around until he finally find out where he's supposed to go to find out where his actual quarters are going to be.
With duffle bag and backpack on hand, the tired, sleep deprived, yet fairly alert eyes look around as he waits to be shown to his quarters.
Zach also flew. However, he had managed to squirrel away enough cash to fly first class. It's not something he had ever done before, and this tournament, much like the one that had funded the ticket, promised to be full of new experiences. He also has a duffle slung over one shoulder. It's almost as large as he is, but the psychic seems to be managing it okay.
And those alert eyes finally pick up his team mate, and that frown becomes non-existent. "Hey, Zach!" His arms raise upwards as he waves to get the psion's attention. Eventually he just decides to move towards his team mate as he extends a hand out towards him. "Good I managed to catch ya before the tournament started. How's it going?"
Zach glances over his shoulder to spot Aranha. He grins faintly. "It goes okay," Zach answers "Flight was nice, movie sucked, but here I am."
Zach says, "And you?"
"Heh. I had the complete opposite experience. Movie was awesome, flight sucked. That damn kid wouldn't stop bothering me. I was beginning to understand the people who refer to them as crotch droppings." He then points to the bags under his eyes.
After pulling his finger away from those bags he then goes into a more serious tone. "Before the flight, I had managed to catch Raizo right before he was headed to the airport. And I had a chance to talk about our team and where we stood."
Zach winces at Aranha's horror story. He had a flight like that right before he left for college. His interest perks when Raizo's name comes up. Zach does not know much about the man, other than he is the principal of Justice High. "Yeah?" Zach says with a bit of interest. "What'd he have to say?"
"We pretty much talked about what each brought to the table. I hope you don't mind me talking about what you brought to the table as well. It was mainly because I had practical experience in seeing both him, and you in fights. Information is power and all that stuff..." He pauses. "Atleast in terms of how to best use what we've got. I told him about what happened in our fight when I was doing try-outs for my team. And then I went into detail about what I brought to the table."
He then steps back and rubs his chin. "He also said that he wanted to see us both in action in a spar."
Zach shrugs off the bit about being talked about. It's more than fair; the three are going to be working together after all, and Zach wasn't there. The mention of a spar is what gets his attention. "What, both of us against him, one on one, you against me?" Zach grins, "Give me specifics, man."
Aranha flashes a smile. "He didn't say and I never asked him. I wanted to be surprised." The impish smirk vanishes right before he continues his thought. "However, smart money is on him wanting us both to face him."
"He did allow for the possibility that if we weren't able to work that out, that there's something to be said for improvisation. And trust me, there's not many people who are better than Raizo at improvisation. I've also seen him in action as well."
"That makes one of us then," quips Zach. "I mostly know of him from his other job, though you don't see a lot of Justice High kids coming through the YFCC."
The Dancing Spider lets out a bit of laughter in response to the psion's remark. "He probably drowns them with too much homework. Though lately..." He pauses as he recalls all of the Justice High students he has fought in the past. Justice High students haven't been making much of a splash in the fighting world lately.
"Maybe," Zach says carefully. He wouldn't know one way or the other, really. "Maybe they are regrouping for something huge." You never know. A butler shows up to show both men to their rooms.
"Looks like that's our cue," Zach says.
