Description: Behold, a simple recipe for a fan-pleasing fight. Take one spider. Add one wolf, lots of screaming fans, and some barbed wire. Mix well, throw it all into an underground pit fight, and let fly the fireworks. Great for the whole family.
In an abandoned warehouse on Gedo Street, there's the sounds of cheering as fighting takes place. In the chaos it's hard to hear the names being shouted. Especially from outside however it's hard to hide what is going on. A pitfight has been set up in this place.
If one isn't in the know they probably wouldn't have known that fights would be here in advance. Aranha, however already knew about it. Knowing it would be good for a bit of extra money he decided to make his own appearance. He's not fighting, yet being content to observe for now. People in the audience are led up to the cat walk where they can watch in safety. Those who will fight soon remain down below outside of the fence erected to make up the fighting area.
After watching for awhile from the catwalk, the capoeirista decides that he'll head back down to the fighters area where he will await his own fight.
Kerian is leaning on the wall of the fighter's area when Aranha enters. The Brit's cheery smile and calm examination of his gun belies his inner nerves, but he seems alright with that.
He'd heard about this place from someone on the street. It wasn't that he really wanted to be here - quite the contrary, actually, this wasn't his sort of scene - but something about it called to him. He was figuring on good training here, especially after his failure at the shrine, and maybe one of these opponents would be good enough to push him to the limit.
He sure hoped so. If this place was nothing but a pit fighting ring, it was probably not worth his time. But then, he'd been playing too many card games lately anyway.
Aranha nodded to the rest of the fighters. Some were the familiar ham and eggers that he knew from various other pit fighting venues. Some were new faces but the one that made the capoeirista raise his eye brow the most was the one face he knew but didn't know from the pit fights but rather from a game of cards. Kerian Valentine.
Aranha raises his chin in a bit of a salute to Kerian before leaning against another wall. A lot of the fighters weren't exactly the most talkative before their bouts and Aranha has in turn learned to respect it. Eventually two men steps out of a doorway and looks over the fighters. The larger of the two, a round bellied man chomping on a cigar as he speaks as he glances over in Kerian's direction, "I haven't seen that pretty boy before, let's see what he can do." The slender man wearing a business suit responds, "I think that's the white haired guy from that bar fight awhile ago." The fat man chortles for a moment as he rubs his chin. "Is that so? Well then we'll throw him in there with Aranha and see how well he does."
A few moments later the fat man points to Aranha and Kerian and then points to the entrance into the cage. Aranha's lips curl into a smile as he strolls into the cage and waits for his opponent.
Kerian notices Aranha enter and gives a two-fingered salute as the other raises his chin at him. He wasn't a talker, but he could always be civil.
Listening to the owners (or at least whom Kerian assumed to be the owners) bicker brought a bit of a smile to his face. He nods at the point, heading into the cage after Aranha and stopping to look around.
"Should be a bloody good one," he says after a moment, examining the cage's points, loose wires, and hanging stands. Kerian reaches into his jacket and withdraws his trademark pistol, examining the gun carefully. He spins it once on his finger and readies the weapon quite casually. "Or just a bloody one," he amends.
Aranha himself doesn't study the actual environment itself. He had already been doing that when he was up on the catwalk. However he hadn't studied his opponent, not knowing who it would be and as he walks in he studies limb lengths and other physical measurements in order to determine what type of threat he would deem his opponent.
His calculations get thrown out of the window the moment he sees the gun. "Heh, a gun to a street fight, eh?" While the picture of calm, he can't help but inwardly swear. Firearms give the capoeirista a little more trouble than he would like to admit.

Kerian levels the gun at Aranha. "Good luck, mate," he says cheerily.
He closes the distance like lightning, white hair streaming behind him as he darts left and right, making sure Aranha would have no idea where he was striking from. The ground beneath his feet cracks with each quick step he takes, dodging and weaving.
As the White Wolf reaches Aranha, he drops to all fours, an unpredictable maneuver from an unusual combatant. His foot swings up, the tip gleaming with white chi, ready to explode on contact. If he hits Aranha, his foot circles back down for another blow to bring him down to his knees in two fell blows.
The gunfighter clenches his gun. "Don't let the gun fool you." He says cheerily.

Kerian quickly closes in and he's right. Aranha isn't exactly sure where the attack is going to come from and so he watches and waits. The capoeirista doesn't move until the last, possible moment. Raising his arm as he rocks away from the White Wolf's energized feet. Both kicks impact upon the Dancing Spider's forearms before the capoeirista spins around towards Kerian's flank and with a spin delivers a side kick to his side. Before swaying from side to side in a dance.
With a smile on his face he says, "I don't think I can take what I see from you at face value."
COMBATSYS: Aranha successfully hits Kerian with Medium Kick.

Kerian is far too far in his axe-kick to fully block the blow; he falls to the side, slamming up against the metal with quite a bit of a 'thud'. However...
As he pulls himself away from the barbs, the unraveled wires, the painful-looking cage, one thing is quite apparent - the only thing that took any damage is his outfit. The faint gleam of chi can be seen now, just above his skin, just around his skin, protecting him from harm...or maybe just weakening him further, forcing him to exude power just to fight.
He brings up his gun, and there's a flare of white light as the chi gathers in the gun. It fires out, a tiny little bullet of concentrated energy, no less dangerous for its content. The gunfighter brushes his hair out of his eyes and smirks.
COMBATSYS: Aranha dodges Kerian's Magnum Blast.

Aranha 0/-------/------=|===----\-------\0 Kerian
Aranha blinks for a moment when he sees Kerian rise to his feet with hardly a scratch. What his eyes see and what his feet felt don't exactly add up until he sees that faint glimmer and he sort of understands but knows he doesn't have the details quite yet.
He doesn't have the time to mull over the circumstances much longer because a chi bullet is heading his way. The capoeirista easily flows from his attack into his defense once again rocking away from the attack but this time he drops in a laying down position to avoid keep the bullet from making contact with his body. "Well that's a first."
Aranha pulls himself into a handstand and then marches in that same handstand until he's close to gunfighter before snapping off a flurry of kicks from the handstand. His intent is to see how Kerian deals with an unorthodox attack.
COMBATSYS: Kerian fails to interrupt Inverted Flurry from Aranha with Light Kick.

Aranha 0/-------/-----==|======-\-------\0 Kerian
Kerian brings his kneecap up to nail the other man in the stomach. The black of his pants is offset by the glow of the chi gathered around his knee, and he's aimed himself to interrupt the upside-down capoeria strikes.
It fails. Miserably. Each strike nails him against the wall, one, two, three, four, too many to count knocking him up against the wall over and over and over. He slides down the cage, one hand clinging to his gun, the other against the wire, barely holding himself up. White hair hangs out the back of the cage, and some girls in the audience make a little 'ooh' sound.
Oh, bloody hell. Even -here-? If it weren't for Ginyu, he'd've cut this hair long ago.
Aranha went into the handstand attacks because of surprise factor. Usually no one expects for his attack from handstands to be so quick however the capoeirista knows that he probably dodged a bullet when that glowing knee fails to connect with his body.
He had a purpose behind the attack but because the situation he had intended to use the attack for didn't come up he tilts out of the handstand and then spins around on his pivot foot before delivering a snap kick to the side of the gunfighter's head. "Wow. You already have fans? I didn't get mine until after I started doing televised fights." He pauses for a moment. "It's all good. I don't playa hate, I congratulate."
COMBATSYS: Kerian blocks Aranha's Short Kick.

Aranha 0/-------/-----==|=======\-------\0 Kerian
Kerian brings his hand up to block the short kick, his arm rippling with chi. His muscles bulge at the strike, and he inhales and exhales, taking a moment to breathe and prepare.
"Bit of a hassle," he mutters, "Mostly underaged girls. You wouldn't believe what a pain it is to be followed by flocks of teens everywhere you go." Of course, his voice is low due to the proximity, and so people don't...well...overhear him.
COMBATSYS: Kerian gains composure.

Aranha 0/-------/-----==|=====--\-------\0 Kerian
Aranha shrugs and doesn't pressure Kerian quite yet. An amused smile plays upon his face. "Well that's the upside to mine. Mine fans are legal... For the most part. And being able to get to places they can't kinda helps as well."
After he says that, he drops the dance and begins to climb the fence much like his namesake. After he's right where he wants to be he launches himself from one side of fence to an adjacent side before launching himself down right at Kerian's shoulder. In particular the one holding the gun.
COMBATSYS: Kerian interrupts Sky's the Limit from Aranha with Sideways Shot.

Aranha 0/-------/---====|=======\-------\0 Kerian
Kerian tilts his gun to the side, watching the Dancing Spider climb. As the other man leaps at his shoulder, he slides out of the way, his weakened look suddenly disappearing as the chi in his feet go into overdrive. A chi bullet fires out of the gun mid-motion, aimed for Aranha's stomach; the glancing blow off his arm isn't nearly enough to stop his dodging slide, though it does knock him up against the wall.
"Not bad," he says quietly.
Aranha glances off of Kerian's arm and his eyes bulge open the moment the chi bullet hits body and he grunts as he spins away from the Gunfighter. His hand reaches down to the hole in his black tank top and looks at the blood on his fingers.
"You weren't kidding about bloody were you?" He can't quite go in close range quite yet. The sliding and the bullet impact created the distance. He intends to try to close in as he whips his arm out towards Kerian sending a blue chi spider web right for him. Aranha chases right after the web to cover his path to the gunfighter.
COMBATSYS: Kerian dodges Aranha's Web Shot.

Aranha 0/-------/---====|=======\-------\0 Kerian
Kerian cracks a bit of a smirk. "No, I wasn't," he agrees. As the webbing shoots out, Kerian's mind races, his eyes flicking from side to side for an escape path. When he doesn't see one, he does the only thing he can.
He runs.
He runs straight backwards, up the wall, and backsprings off it into a flying blow, gun held high and charged with chi for a painful smash over the face. The move was calculated as a hammer, and he was the angel, ready to deliver it from on high as he descends rapidly towards the other fighter.
COMBATSYS: Aranha fails to interrupt Fierce Strike from Kerian with Change-Up Kick.
[ \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\ < > ///////////////// ]
Aranha 0/-------/--=====|=======\-------\1 Kerian
Aranha raises an eyebrow as Kerian runs up the fence but he continues to charge right after his chi energy web. At a certain point, he commits himself so fully to his strategy that he can't see the minor flaw in his calculations and he doesn't realize until it's too late that the White Wolf isn't quite falling at the angle that he expected.
In spite of that he swings his foot in a high round house with the intent of taking the White Wolf out of the air. In the end, Aranha takes the hard strike to the face and falls down in agony sliding head first into the fence and causing the cage to rattle.
The attack obviously hurt him and he makes no attempt to hide it but in spite of it, he laughs. He laughs fully as he pulls himself off of the ground.
Kerian skids to a halt, skittering on all fours like the wolf he so resembles to right himself against the unfamiliar territory, and takes off at a run for Aranha again as he's standing. Don't let up. Don't stop till he's not a threat.
His gun descends in a backhanded blow for Aranha's skull as he passes, a dot of chi preparing to release itself upon impact. He certainly resembles the White Wolf his moniker states he is, even more than he did at the card table.
COMBATSYS: Kerian successfully hits Aranha with Medium Strike.

Aranha 0/-------/=======|=======\-------\1 Kerian
Aranha's body leans in an attempt to slip under the backhanded blow but once again his timing is just slightly off. Little more than fractions of a second stand between him and his ability to avoid the attack. As soon as the gun attack lands, the capoeirista finds himself stumbling to the side due to the additional oomph from the chi from the gun's impact.
The capoeirista wobbles for a moment before lashing out with an outside crescent kick to the jaw, attempting to slap Kerian away from him with his foot.
COMBATSYS: Kerian blocks Aranha's Short Kick.

Aranha 1/-------/=======|=======\=------\1 Kerian
Kerian spins into the kick, his free hand whipping up to meet her blow with his chi-armored arm. It was a skilled block, made all the more skilled by his reaction shot - his knee whipping up, the dome glowing again with that chi-tip. It was either a fallback, or a good space to be in.
Worse, he was aiming for the injured point of the other man's body, the stomach hole from his earlier chi bullet. It wasn't that he was a jerk - he was a fighter, and he expected the other man to realize what he was doing and that it wasn't personal.
"Sorry," he murmurs as his knee slides forward. Just in case.
COMBATSYS: Aranha interrupts Light Kick from Kerian with Medium Kick.

Aranha 1/------=/=======|=======\===----\1 Kerian
In fighting pits, honor is rare thing and people attacking an already open wound was par for the course. Or at least that would be his experience in these things would dictate. As a result, the capoeirista doesn't take offense. He put significant amounts of effort in making sure his kick was fast. However he made sure that his recoil from his kick was faster. It was fast enough that he would be able to respond to anything Kerian would be able to throw at him.
That knee comes in and the apology soon after but Aranha spins as the knee connects with his side. Moving with the spin, Aranha's hands touch the ground as he delivers a spinning back heel kick to the side of Kerian's head. Those hands on the ground form a tripod with the remaining foot, allowing for the capoeirista to have stable position as he delivers the kick.
Kerian slides to the side. As he falls backwards, his hand against the ground to brace him, he pushes up against the wall, straightening. "Y'know," he says after a moment, "You gave me a bloody good idea earlier."
He starts running again, but this time, it's a bit different; he skids to a halt and flings his gun out at his opponent, a very unusual strike. It wasn't something he'd ever tried before...but it was brilliant...if one noticed the loose bit of his uniform he'd tied around the gun. It was half a hammer, half a yo-yo, the string charged with chi.
The gun might not be, but hey, it's a heavy metal weapon. It's going to hurt one way or another.
COMBATSYS: Kerian successfully hits Aranha with Thrown Object.

Unfortunately, the recoil from the subsequent attack, getting smacked in the face with a gun-yo. The Dancing Spider stumbles back once again before wobbling towards the fence and hitting it face first with a loud clatter actually shaking the fence.
With his back turned it's hard too see how much damage the gun did but he's quiet and he's not moving. However, the capoeirista's ears are listening.
COMBATSYS: Aranha focuses on his next action.

Aranha 1/-----==/=======|=======\===----\1 Kerian
Kerian snags his gun out of the air and catches it between his fingers, spinning it in hand and pointing it backwards at the Dancing Spider. The chi-bullet soars out again from under his arm, his head tilted back enough to aim. It wasn't a deadly shot, but it was one that was going to hurt like hell. Lucky move. He had good aim, he had good stance.
If Ginyu had seen the underarm shot, he'd've been proud. Kerian wasn't unhappy with it, either.
He was right. It -was- good training.
COMBATSYS: Aranha fails to reflect Magnum Blast from Kerian with Malicia.

Aranha 0/-------/--=====|=======\====---\1 Kerian
Aranha had his back turned but he slipped his head under his arm so he would be able to see what was going on behind him. He watches and waits as Kerian pulls back the gun and shoots.
Aranha looks so vulnerable his back turned and the Dancing Spider wanted to disguise his position of strength with the appearance of weakness however when he raises his hand to create a field of overlapping chi webs, he seems to have a vulnerable patch right where Kerian happened to shoot it.
The end result, is a capoeirista that got shot square in the ass.
Kerian tosses his gun up in the air as he turns to face Aranha. Anyone with any ability to sense chi at the moment would note that it's all flowing into his feet and right index finger - and it's an impressive amount, too. The floor's starting to crack where he's standing, the air around him humming just a little bit as more or less the entirety of his reserves disappear into his feet.
As he snags the gun out of the air...he disappears, a crater exploding from the point he moved, sunk deep into the concrete.
It would take Aranha a moment to realize that he hadn't turned invisible...he was in fact running along the walls at such a speed as to leave afterimages. The smell of burned rubber fills the air, acrid and disgusting, and a few of the crowd turns away to cough.
The gunshots follow. One after another, bullets of chi lancing towards Aranha at an incredible pace from every angle. It's impossible to follow the beginning or end of the attack; a complete circle's worth of chi is soaring at Aranha, different speeds, different angles, ready to shred him to pieces.
It wasn't lethal - somehow, the gunfighter had managed to avoid targetting anything lethal - but it was deadly. It was impressive. It was amazing.
The bullet rave continues as Kerian hits the ground, still running, still leaving afterimages. Smoke pours up, and the afterimages slowly lower as a trench is eaten away by the inhuman speed and incredible chi output.
Finally, the white-haired young man skids to a halt, panting. His gun is gripped in both hands, and they - and he -'s shaking. He gathers his composure and brushes his hair out of his eyes, inhaling sharply as the afterimages fade.
A few of the girls in the audience faint.
COMBATSYS: Kerian successfully hits Aranha with Godlike Bullet Rave.

Aranha 1/------=/=======|-------\-------\0 Kerian
Aranha has faced this type of attack before when he had fought Chris who used a similar method and the moment he sees Kerian disappear, he already knows what's about to happen. Or rather, he has a damn good idea about what's about to go down. Aranha doesn't like it one bit.
He knows he should dodge however finds himself uncharacteristically flat footed and that's when the gun fire begins. The capoeirista finds himself with more holes in him than a chunk of swiss cheese and plenty of scars to add to the collection.
The capoeirista finds himself dropping to one knee, panting heavily as he stares. Then all of a sudden, Aranha roars as he charges at Kerian with a battle cry of, "DAWG! STOP SHOOTING ME IN MY ASS!!!"
After that he whirls around as he attempts to whirl around with a powerful roundhouse kick to the head. If he should miss he's landing face first on the ground. If that roundhouse should connect, Aranha will whip his foot back around to connect with a hooking back heel which he'd use to drag the gun man face first to the ground before keeling over in a comical manner.
COMBATSYS: Aranha can no longer fight.

Kerian slides out of the way of the kick. He didn't have any energy left, but he saw it coming a mile away, and had just enough sanity left to throw himself back against the wall to evade. He inhales, pressing himself against the wall just to stay standing.
The cheers for both were overwhelming. The fight had been damnably impressive, and Kerian would have to remember to thank the other man for such excellent training.
And a bit of fun, too.
The gunfighter gathers his chi and slings his gun back in its holster, heading for the exit, his long white hair swaying as he leaves.
