Vince - Heresy

Description: Igniz visits Pacific High again, and finds himself confronted by two strong-willed young people. Things don't go so well for the students, but fortunately enough, Igniz takes his leave by the end. Pacific seems safe for now. Or is it?

For what reasons would some one return to the scene of a crime? Perhaps the crime was entirely unethical, perhaps it was something that was terrible. Here, the Pacific Resistance had faced a god, and in turn, the god had smote them with help. But once more, he appears. Entirely unexpected, and unwanted, Igniz, god of NESTS, goes where he wants.

No doubt the school itself was on guard for the man, putting up patrols, posters, warnings strapped across the hall ways that warm students to always keep an eye out for men they don't know, or don't recognize, especially those that cover themselves in ample amount of cloth.

Of course, this would effect a major establishment entirely. Pacific High must be warry during the times that plays occur, for the students and men that are in them are more impossible to truly manage without taking such regal garments away.

But, even during the off time, when no one should be around, Igniz is there, taking a quick look about the stage. Always the entertainer, the god of NESTS seems to be everywhere as of late. And now, there, upon the stage a cloaked man stands. He doesn't move, doesn't fidget. Simply, he stands there, almost as if to garner attention in the simplest way possible, gossip and curiosity.

After all, like an angler fish giving out a light in the dark depths of the ocean, NESTS silently lures their prey to them, and strikes. It is, after all, their trademark. To go and out themselves entirely would be a folly until they are ready. If Igniz learned from anything, it was what happened to Shadaloo. He would be much more careful.

Being a major supporter and participator in Pacific High's drama department, Vince has been told to meet with the others at this time. The others, however, are certainly keeping their distance. After the last incident, Pacific High has indeed gone on a bit of alert for the likes of Igniz. The man is fairly distinctive in appearance and garb, so when the rest of the group caught sight of him, they've either scattered or hid in hopes of going unharmed.

Vince, on the other hand, is unaware of the presence just yet. The young swordsman is the last to arrive, and with an invitee witchy-girl. After how their last training went, he felt the need to try and smooth things over with her. So only just now, he's arriving... only to find it rather silent.

Icy blue eyes scan the auditorium for the rest of the group, but the only thing they focus on is the man that gave the school such a hassle earlier. That distinct, highly recognizable man.

For the moment, Vince stays at the open doorway opposite the stage, cool gaze affixed. The students have been told to flee and find help if they should find him. But Vince.. isn't budging. Not in any direction just yet. Insofar, he's not backed down from a problem in the school, and despite the reputation that surrounds this person, he doesn't seem interested in starting now.

Normally graceful on her feet, when she's not expecting someone to stop dead in their tracks, Alexis is going to be prone to bumping into them.
This, of course, has her injuries screaming in pain as she drops to the floor with a small oomph.
"Vince? Why did you stop? I..." Picking herself up off the floor and dusting herself off, she hops upward in an attempt to see over his shoulder. Sometimes it totally doesn't pay to be short. "What is it?"
She's almost very nearly like one of those cute, annoying puppies you see in the cartoons. The little ones that hang around the larger ones, vying for some sort of attention or protection. Almost, but not quite. Despite how small and petite she looks, she's not entirely helpless.
"Is that?" She ducks around Vince a little to gaze at the man across the auditorium. "Non, I bet the others in your group are just playing a trick..."

At first, the god of NESTS simply stands, looking across the craftswork of the area. This is where culture is most extremely dedicated to, put up on the walls for all to see, plastered about in different hues, living breathing and taking the stage. Plays, speaches, even talkers that may become the next global threat or leader.

But today, the only one to stand there is Igniz. Grinning in his cloacks, only aided by the soft touch of the shadows. The lights have been shut off, if only for now. Igniz does not want to warrent very much excitement, even if he's still visible due to the cracked front door, light oozing in and expanding as if a gas, silently bringing sight into the regularly lit center of excitement and bliss.

But this is stopped simply when Vince appears, aided with Alexis as their sillouetes expand outwards, reaching through many of the centers over towards Igniz himself where the god stands. And it's very hard to hear their words, even in the ever echoing atmosphere. But their shadows and voices do not move the man, he simply ignores them, playing them off as onlookers.

For, even while robed, he simply looks about, taking in the atmosphere and the structure. For, if it came time to destroy it, he would have to repair it under his own talented hand, and it is best to make it as close as possible. Don't you think?

"I don't think so..," Vince murmurs to Alexis aside, eyes never leaving the cloaked man on stage. "We'll find out soon enough."

After the assault by Aprile, Mary, and Birdie, Vince has learned to not waste time in taking action. But it's simply not his style to rush into a situation without making a proper appearance. So even though he's certain he's been spotted, Vince decides to attain a more dramatic (albeit less stable) footing with a forward leap, alighting upon the backrest of the second row of seats. That is, the second row from where he started. Leaping prowess noteworthy as it might be, he isn't -that- good - or reckless enough to close the gap that quickly. Once situated, he draws the elegant rapier from its sheath into his right hand, holding it at a low guard to his side. His left hand slides along his hip, fingertip tracing along the edge of one of his rosettes until it touches the leaves, whereupon the blade is slid out and held gingerly - as if it were an actual rose and not some implement of death.

"You've returned to Pacific High?," Vince asks in an elevated voice, so as to be heard clearly through the auditorium. Apart from the increase in volume and range, the young noble still speaks in a smooth voice, ever-laced with a hint of a French accent. His poise shifts, feigning an aloof attitude with his head turning slightly aside, the brim of his hat casting a shadow over his visage. "I've heard about you. Many things. Most regard you with fear... but I will not allow you to harm the innocent here, regardless!" The head turns, shadow lifting to reveal those icy blues affixed on Igniz. "So flee now, or prepare yourself!"

Cocky? Absolutely. Confident? That's what Vince is attempting to portray, despite a twinge of nervousness running through him. Usually one's presence and tone - which he's had plenty of time to practice controling - is enough to deterr any violence from happening. He can only hope it works here, if the things he's heard are true at all. Still, he has to believe that his training and the Rose Dansant style can overcome any problems that might arise.

We'll find out soon enough. That's what he says to her, then he's leaping up onto a seat a few rows up and making speeches. The little gymnast dressed as a witch just drops her head, exhaling a small puff of air. It's good that he's all in defense mode, but really, shouldn't they find out for sure it /is/ a bad guy or whatever before attempting threats and attacks?
Maybe she's just a little over-cautious due to how poorly she was doing in their last training session.
"Vince," she hisses as she actually chooses the less showy path of walking down the aisle, "don't you think we should make sure it's not someone playing a joke before you try to stabbity at them?"
Nevertheless, she has her 'wand' at her side, the ribbon already whipping into a gentle circular motion on the off chance that Alexis is going to need to spring into action.

Igniz simply stands there, looking about as he does, only for them to come to him. Igniz had done nothing wrong there yet. Simply being here was enough to earn him instant attention, and of course, the god of NESTS would respond akin as Vince sprints into action, throwing himself forward as he does, ending up two or more rows infront of the stage itself. Of course, that was simply enough for Igniz to tell, but the constant uide upon even taking out his blade is tracked by the impressive technology that the god of NESTS wears. He simply stands as Vince talks.

His words earn him nothing at first, a smirk and a self conscious sound that eminates for all to hear, akin to a grunt, but much more simple. For now, the God of NESTS doesn't do anything. Even as he shifts, speaking on about the events that happened in the past with Luc, Marisol, and Rust, aided by others that also showed up. Yes, that. Igniz remembers it entirely. K' decided to show up that day.

He speaks valiently, asurence akin to that of a noble night to charge head first into a dragon's lair only for him to be the appetizer and the horse to be the main dish. Still the god of NESTS remains unmoving, only for the single short sentance that Vince actually challenges the man's power get his attention.

The god of NESTS spins quickly, the heavy suit of armor unheeded at first, the cloaks shedding and softly flailing in the created wind behind him. Even a bright light and a soft prayer could be heard, but for what no one would know. "Flee? Why, I'm not sure you know what you're talking about. Of all things, you ask me to flee for my own safety, or prepare myself?" Igniz speaks, softly and meaningfully as his hand grasps the air, a solid blade appearing in his hands moments later.

"I'm afraid no preparation could have stopped your callous words to drop so harmfully onto me. I'm afraid there is nothing else to do." The god of NESTS states as his statue-esque likeness is interrupted, rushing forward with the sword outstetched, feet away from Vince still.

But the blade doesn't simply strike the air, it disconnects, breaking off and hurdling towards Vince quickly, aiming to simply catch the man as it's whipped forward, and then pulled back in a gambit to catch Vince, catch him in the sword whip, and end the chirade that he most obviously was playing.

This production, however, is yet to be either known as a drama or a comedy. Perhaps it's a problem?

Alexis' hissing at Vince gets one in turn, along with an annoyed look. "Quiet!," he urges sharply. The last thing he needs in a serious situation like this is her not treating the threat as she should - like an actual, honest-to-God dangerous threat. That sort've foolishness could get her, or them both, killed.

Just as suspected, the cloaked man is who Vince assumed. That means this is going to be one heck of an ordeal. Moreover, the onslaught that comes is almost blindingly fast. The young swordsman attempts to bring his blade to bear in an attempt to parry, but the weapon is moving much too fast and in... such a way, that Vince has never trained against. The weapon strikes before he even lifts his rapier from a low guard, the force enough to cut him, and moreso, knock him off his perch to slam him back against the wall by the entrance.

Believe the danger is real now, Alexis?

That's what Vince's mind is saying, anyway, while he attempts to sort out the newfound pain he's experiencing. This slash? It's going to be a doozy trying to work out, both from his body and from his outfit. The rosette he had in his hand is certainly no longer there, now lost somewhere amidst the seating. But that works well enough for him - he doesn't intend to utilize those blades at this time. No, Igniz will do with some honest, masterful swordplay of his own.

Vince springs back up to his boots, teeth grit. The rapier lifts briefly before his face, then slices down to his side - a fencing salute. Then, he leaps right back to where he was atop the seat. Once there, he leaps to the next two rows, and finally dives through the air swiftly - speeds in which he's used to being extremely, if not -too- fast for others to handle. The movement ends with the young noble crouched in lunge position before Igniz, blade driving towards his torso forcefully.

Oh dear.
Two little words, and they're all that's going through the mind of the little gymnast. Why? Because this threat is certainly much more real than the one out on the field a while back. This threat... it almost has her frozen in place.
Had the cloaked man voiced his opinion aloud about what the production is to be, Alexis might just have quipped back that it could very certainly be a tragedy -- but who's is unknown as of yet.
Heeding Vince's request to be silent, she says not another word. Two reasons for this: the fencer has been in situations like this before, she's certain; and it is quite difficult to carry on a cheery conversation (or even a worried one) when one has just seen a friend sliced with some sort of retractable blade or whatever that very odd weapon was. Certainly nothing a girl that fights with gymnastics is privy to!
Be that as it may, Vince seems to be leaping forward and pressing on and so this means it is time for her to spring into action. Alexis takes off from her position in the aisle, running along it at a swift pace. As she nears the stage, she flips up onto it to land off to the side of the intruder. All the while, the ribbon at her side sways back and forth picking up speed as she does. The moment her feet light upon the stage, the ribbon whips out in an attempt to latch about the man's legs and hold him in place momentarily before she yanks backward to try and knock him down.

Igniz is not a man to simply ignore, if only for reasons of unpredictability. At any moment, the god of NESTS may simply turn about and take what he percieves as his forcefully. Whatever that may be. Animal, vegitable or even the ground itself, Igniz is a many of many pleasures, and golf being one of them. But still, there is a sick smile in Igniz's honest, polite behavior. Not once does he ever simply ignore, simply walk away. Always does the god of NESTS take much in stride.

But others, do they? Vince is launched across the room in an instant, Igniz recoiling the blade with a clack, the chainsword once more becomming the un assuming sword. Even as Vince begins to get up, Igniz prepares once more, the weapon disappearing completely as he watches the oncomming group striking out towards him.

The man charges without words, but still with the smug sureness that Igniz simply despises. He himself is the only one that should be sure of his actions, others should only hope to be what he has become, and as such, the blade diving down towards him, Igniz simply propells himself backwards, the shields of the armor appearing as they slow the blade so it becomes the most quick, instant stab against his quard, much power lost in the translation.

But it is not simply him. There is another that Igniz must deal with, one he sees as she charges against him. Thumps down the poorly lit isle alight as the seat lights illuminate with her movement, following her as she goes. Much to Igniz's own advantage, it's easier to time it because of it. As soon as the ribbon arcs out towards Igniz, the god is too quick, moving towards her without a moment to spare, propelled by a force that isn't his own, aided by the suit he wears.

"So you both wish to challenge me. This will almost be a challenge." Igniz exclaims as he fires a punch with sickening speed towards Alexis, almost impossible to see to the untrainted eye. Igniz was a boxer after all, and it shows to a great extent, the power and speed that he strikes with akin to a snake.

The rapier fails to truly sink in, as this normally decisive attack usually allows. And though he's certain he'll be the recipient of more attacks, Igniz seems to turn his attention on his witchy partner. Eyes widen, and Vince immediately hops to his boots again, landing gracefully. He charges after Igniz with every intention to deter him from hurting the girl, blade pulling back to settle along his left shoulder. Acting on pure instinct in the hopes of aiding in Alexis' defense, the blade lashes out in a horizontal cut at the man's back with a, "HAH!"

Forming in the blade's wake is a second blade, shimmering into existance as a sheet of smokey gray energy that slashes out at Igniz's back as a follow-up.

Whipping the ribbon around in front of her, Alexis thinks to block the monstrously fast punch. She thinks to. It is in fact, attempted, but the problem with ribbons is that oftentimes very large, quick punches get right through them.
"Aiiiiieeee~!"
Propelled backward by the fist, the gymnast crashes into one of the sets that have been put into place for rehearsal. This makes a loud noise as she knocks the one wall down, sending the supports for the others going in a domino-type effect. Through the dust and debris, she pushes back to her feet. Throughout the crash and tumble, the ribbon at her side has never stopped moving. Not once. Even as she reaches up to remove some tiny splinters of wood from her hair, the 'weapon' at her side never stops moving.
Leaping over the rubble, the ribbon sets higher into the air, creating an animated snake-pattern. Finding a clear path, she leaps forward twice and snaps the ribbon forward. The ends of the ribbon become stiffer, forming two tiny points before the 'snake' bites forward attempting to sink its teeth into the armored man.
And still, she says nothing.

The heroic sort of both Alexis and Vince should be able to stand formidable against Igniz alone. Even with their strength underneath the god of NESTS, Igniz himself does not simply lie down and die. Dogs may, and many other foes may bow their heads in turn of weakness, but through and through again, this man will put the Pacific students to their limits. Push them as far as possible, and perhaps even farther than they can go.

Even as the battle has begun, the businessman of NESTS pushes his powers to their limits, moving to make as many predictable yet ruthless manuevers to simply put the Pacific fighters at their wits end.

Even as Vince pushes forward, rushing straight towards him, the speed of the charge isn't quick enough. The dance of the blade is a dangerous one, but even with the heavy suit he's able to dance about it, moving and floating about, none of it stopping Igniz's push towards the girl. And ever still, the energy seems to miss its mark.

And now all it leaves is Alexia, alone against the god of NESTS as she strikes. Even as she's propelled, the gymnast gets back up again, leaping forward with the stiffened ribbons. Igniz watches, calculating. His chance is brief, almost delayed as the suit depicts the very style each user uses. Their movements. Their strikes. Their exact positions. Almost too late is the response, but with a wave of the hand, a powerful field of immaculate white chi appears in an instant, right where Alexis moves. The ribbons and the girl cleary strike, only for their own energy and his own to clash, ending badly for one of them.

Igniz, however, continues to float, arms at the side. An upbeat smile still marks his face as he hovers, awaiting both of their moves once more. "Can you match the power of a god?" Igniz announces, questioning all around.

Vince's blade - both physical and incorporeal - shred nothing but air, leaving him to watch helplessly as Alexis is caught in a sudden wave of white energy. "A-ALEXIS!"

Icy blue eyes somehow turn more cold, glaring now upwards at the self-proclaimed god. "-Bastard-...," he seethes. "You are no deity! You're a blaspheming madman! No deity would perform your deeds!"

Now panting, Vince whisks his blade in a clean moulinet loop, ending the motion in a high guard stance. He then leaps up to meet Igniz in the air, blade slicing at the man's torso diagonally from right hip to left shoulder, followed immediately by a single thrust aimed for the center of his chest, hoping to bring him to the floor.

As she makes her way across the stage, attempting a clean strike she runs into a wall of white. Watery energy clashes with it, tangling a little as she's blasted backward through a backdrop, taking it with her as she crashes somewhere backstage.
No scream is forthcoming this time, either from the fact that everything happened so quickly she didn't have time to make a sound or the fact that she's completely stunned and unmoving.
Things continue on out front, but the gymnast is content to stay wrapped within the cocoon of material certain that it's safer for her.
Only, that's a bit cowardly... isn't it?
Tiny crashes can be heard backstage as she fights her way out of the backdrop. A small groan as she does her best to stagger to her feet. She's got to continue, even if all she does is provide a distraction for the fencer. She can't leave a friend alone out there with a madman.
Edging forward as quietly as possible, once she makes her way back to the stage proper, she takes hold of the ribbon by the ends. To keep it moving now, means that the wand portion is flung out toward the head of the big scary man. Should it even just tink against him a wave of watery blue energy shoots forth before she tugs on the ribbon to send the wand back to her hand.

Things can be much more difficult than they first appear. As Igniz seems to ask, he gives them weakness, precious moments as how stays about them still, hovering, unmoving as he goes. He simply waches Alexis as she gets up, unknown to him of what occurs. But it becomes much more present as she moves, fighting on yet still. Igniz just simply moves in turn.

Raising his hand to summon a barrier, nothing appears. Nothing at all as Igniz finds himself driven backwards as the ribbon touches him, the watery blue energy powering in on the god of NESTS own armor. He appears still undefeated, and mostly unappeased, driven backwards for the moment to simply rethink his actions, cracks and dents appearing in his figure.

But then Vince strike sonce more, calling him a bastard and denouncing him. A single strike with the blade slicing at him towards his chest takes the moment of weakness and pries his towards the ground, stabbing him down the the ground. Igniz lands harshly, eyes closed as the hatred burns.

But still, as he rises, his smile has returned, even with a small droplet of blood here and there, he is still standing tall. "You doubt me?" He asks, "After all I have shown you?" The god continues. "This will never do." Forcing himself forward, he repells Vince away.

And with the moment that's his, spins. The simple cape becomes dangerous, cutting through the air and spinning up like a buzzsaw, chi pulsing on the ends as he moves, aiming to simply grasp Vince and cut into him, deep and powerfully. Nothing else for non believers. Nothing else will do.

"I would sooner believe you to be a demon!," Vince retorts once he's landed again.

A glance is shot in Alexis' direction, noting her attack and how well it seems to've gone. There's an appreciative smile and nod--

And suddenly, Vince is grabbed. He has no time to make any surprised sounds. The buzzsaw cape is rending him quite terribly, and needless to say, there's a spray of red spattering against the stage and the first few rows.

Vince really has no idea what's happening to him. All he knows is there's pain. Lots of pain. And then? The pain becomes numb. He feels.. nothing. Nothing but a sort of rage.

Vince forcefully wrenches himself away from Igniz, trembling and starting to pale from bloodloss already. Despite this, he presses on.

"I..." Inhale. "I.." Left hand balls into a fist, that and the rapier trembling in rage. "I'LL SHOW YOU POWER!"

The left hand shoots into the air.

In an instant, a raging smoky gray tornado blasts up from beneath Igniz, intending to propel him to the ceiling to begin shredding and ripping at the man. If successful, Vince lunges directly into the tornado, riding the swirling winds harmlessly to meet Igniz in the air. Once there, the right arm starts going into motion with the rapier.

Or one could assume it does.

The arm, in fact, all but disappears from sight, delivering an innumerable amount of heavy, harsh stabs all over Igniz's body, not caring so much where he strikes so long as it's deep, painful, and truly grievous - from leg to head. At the finale of this combination, Vince lifts slightly higher over Igniz in the tornado and musters the entirety of his strength through his sword arm before driving the blade into him to blast him back down to the floor away from the cyclone.

Following all this, Vince leaves the tornado and drops to the floor in a crouch not far from Igniz, and the swirling winds dissipate.

There is a flash of a cape, and then a spray of blood.
Being as that Alexis is standing near the back of the stage, the spray misses her but it doesn't go without notice. Peridot eyes widen to about the size of saucers. Her jaw drops, and she stands there gaping like a fish. So stunned is the little gymnast that the ribbon actually stops moving.
Before she realizes what she's doing, she's bolting across the stage in the fencer's direction. "V-VINCE!"
This madman is trying to kill him! Much as she wants to be a hero and help people, she doesn't like to see a friend injured. Nor does she at all enjoy being forced to see that much blood. Bile begins to rise in her throat, but she holds it at bay as best she can.
Then Vince fights back.
Vince fights back in a very scary manner, causing the gymnast to stop where she is mid-stage. Once again, she's gaping at the situation. Frozen. As though watching some extremely macabre play and being unable to glance away from it. It is only when Vince drops to a crouch once more that she seems to snap out of it and act.
Three steps toward Igniz are taken, graceful little steps despite the horror she has just witnessed. Leaping into the air, she makes a half-turn as she whips the ribbon into the air above the crazed-man, allowing it to begin to cascade about him. With a circular sweep, she attempts to lasso Igniz with the ribbon and yank him toward her before flinging him toward the back of the stage.

Vince continues to call Igniz out on his holy ground. Over and over again the god of NESTS simply finds that it is entirely impossible to simply allow those against him to continue such foolishness. The struggle is old, overdone and finished. For moments, Vince is simply lifted off the ground due to his ignorence to Igniz's own cause.

But this simply causes Igniz to forget about Alexis, and those precious moments that he needed are simply swept away as she comes out from behind, three steps towards him, the ribbon coming down towards Igniz as he makes a momentary step forward. There and then he finds that he's unable to, licked by a ribbon that comes about him before yanking him backwards. Igniz is momentary stunned, but it simply last just that, a moment, as it hurls him towards the back of the stage even as Vince performs his own strike.

But a god that is momentarily losing his patience emerges, floating as the system analyzes the strike, and predicts the simplest route around it. And like it has planned, the god moves, almost as a blur, to the precize places that he could be as the tornado rips through, the rapier missing as Igniz moves too and fro, left and right. Away from the strikes even as the final strike comes. Igniz floats above it, looking down towards Vince.

"Hmph. Your best has only left weakness." Igniz exclaims, the cape moving on its own, snaking forward towards Vince's figure to grab a hold of anything possible. In this case, the whole body of the weakened, crouched Vince. If it connects, it will simply toss him towards the front of the auditorium, towards the center row of seats. Where he lands, Igniz would not care.

"How does it feel to witness true power?" Igniz exclaims, "To face a god... you should be so lucky!" Igniz exclaims, bruises, blood and even cracks in the armor still appear. Yet the battle is not over. He declares it is.

COMBATSYS: Igniz successfully hits Vince with Blue Noah.

The... LaRose Storm.. missed?

That by itself is shocking enough to jar Vince a little. And in that instance, Igniz manages to grab him with his cape. "Gahh!"

And then, Vince is flying away. Spiraling, Vince sears right for the seats... only he grabs ahold of one of them with his free hand, halting the chaotic spin and inevitably painful crash. He winds up thumping into the next seat behind the one he grabbed...
R%And a bleeding Vince head pops up behind the seat, glaring at Igniz. "And how lucky would I have to be to fell a 'god'?!," he calls. Substantially weakened, the young noble hops onto the back of the seat to launch himself a couple rows forth, then a couple more.. and he finally springs at Igniz, body pivoting in a single spin to aim an aerial hook kick at the back of his head.

"When I meet a god," Alexis mutters under her breath, "I'll be more than happy to tell them how lucky I am."
Sadly, the little gymnast is in too much shock to provide much wit. By all rights, Vince should be not moving. At least, the spray of blood just moments ago would indicate that he's not well enough to continue this fight... and yet, here he is... fighting.
It bolsters her a little, because his continued movement must mean he's not going to bleed out!
Maybe it's a good thing she didn't get close enough to actually check on his wound.
With the madman focusing on the fencer, she takes a moment to catch her breath. Her previous injuries haven't healed completely, and being sent through the set and then crashing into things backstage haven't exactly been kind to them.
Contemplating what to do next, she watches Vince move. He goes for the back, so she forces herself into a frontflip to situate herself in front of Igniz. A dangerous position to take, she's aware, but again she's attempting to act as a distraction. When she flips, he ribbon leaves her hand and sails through the air only to be caught by her as she begins to lunge toward him. The wand is grasped tightly in her hand, her wrist twisting to the side before she hops up, attempting to smash the butt end of it against the madman's nose.

COMBATSYS: Igniz blocks Alexis' Medium Strike.

Alexis speaks, continuing her assault on the self proclaimed god. Igniz is more than ready for her this time, even as Vince is thrust back in a spray of blood. "You speak highly of yourself," Igniz proclaims, "But you are nothing." The god of NESTS exclaims, "You speak to a god without praise, but simple ill intentions and negativity." He claims, floating once more as she slams the wand towards the god. It simply meets the four discs the god uses to protect himself. As they bleed into existence, the chi catches them, simply allowing them to slow and finally stop, still striking, but with much less power.

"But for your words, you will find nothing you seek." Igniz exclaims, turning towards Vince as he thumps powerfully some feet away. But he speaks, and moves. He's still breathing. A mistake for sure.

"Luck? There is no luck, it's impossible." Igniz proclaims, even as Vince launches himself forward, a kick issued, only for the figure of Igniz to blue, a single punch fired so quickly into the chest of the boy that he would feel it before he had noticed who had issued it.

"You should have stopped. I would not have needed to do this." Igniz announces, hurling the boy back as he turns his attention towards Alexis with a bloody smile, droplets, his or not, about him.

Either way, there's a yelp when Vince feels the pain from the hit. He's sent back, indeed, into the first row of chairs.

And at this point, he's struggling to just remain conscious. Extremely pale now from bloodloss and barely capable of curling his fingers around the handle of his rapier. But yet still, the suffering youth pulls himself out of the seat to stand again. Clearly, he's mustering the very last reserves of his strength.

"A-Alexis... get away," he says, voice weakly elevated for her to hopefully hear. "Get help.. get safe. I'll.. keep him busy.."

And the rapier is slowly brought to bear before his face.

Whisps of smoky gray energy begin swirling around the length of steel.

The whisps disappear, and Vince's arm blurs out of vision as he delivers slice after slice against... the air?

"YAAHHHHH!"

No more than a second later, very tangible, yet metaphysical slashes begin manifesting against Igniz, shredding and ripping hopefully into flesh in tandem with the blade's nigh-invisible movements. By the end of this, Vince hopes to leave Igniz's body in ribbons and strips, shearing him to pieces. But that's hoping pretty high.

COMBATSYS: Vince can no longer fight.

"VINCE!"
Seeing how injured he is, how much he's bleeding... Alexis doesn't know what to do. There is a part of her that wants to be the coward and run, and there is a part of her that wants to keep fighting to make sure that he's not killed if she leaves.
Get help. Get safe. He's sacrificing himself for her safety?
A quick pace moves her feet toward Vince, she looks down at him, chewing on her lip. "O-okay! I will g-go... g-get someone...." She continues to rush past him then, bringing a hand up to wipe at her brow. The gymnast is exhausted. She wants to collapse right where she is, but instead she keeps running until she makes it to the hall, where she tries to find a teacher, the nurse, anyone that can help her friend at this point.

COMBATSYS: Alexis takes no action.

COMBATSYS: Igniz fails to slow Phantom Laceration from Vince with Divine Arrow - Air.
- Power fail! -

[                \\\\\\\\\\\\\\  < >  /////////////                 ]
Igniz            0/-------/-======|======-\-------\0           Alexis

Of course, Igniz simply looked towards the man in a sense of destruction. He would simply power his own attempt down his own throat. However, as Igniz floats, watching as the boy simply throws himself towards him, firing out towards Igniz with a simple mist, Igniz moves to stop him, simple raising up a hand to produce his own chi.

And, as Vince comes forward, Igniz miscalculates, the laccerations striking at him, cutting and searing about him, but even as they do, only part of the armor simply falls off, breaking into pieces as it does. The god of NESTS stands strong still, even while wounded. He's held back, momentarilly as Alexis moves to call in aid to deal with the fallen boy.

For now, Igniz does not simply leave. He stays there, momentarily. Not chasing, but simply going back to what he was doing before they came, like nothing had ever happend. It's rather simple. Even with the blood shed that occured.

From his peripheral, Vince can see Alexis starting to make a dash for it. That's good. Hopefully she'll get help as he said. She's pretty much his only hope of making it out of this alive, so far as he knows.

And while Igniz seems to be preparing for some onslaught returned, Vince gives himself an extra push to ensure the invisible blades of energy push through any obstructances to hit their mark.

And it might normally be more effective... were it not for one problem. Vince's condition. He just can't continue with any sort of follow-up after the lacerations. Once the final stroke is made, his arm slows into view. That last slice seems to throw him off balance, and he staggers...

...And falls.

As she exits the auditorium, Alexis chances a glance over her shoulder. She's not being followed, there are no walls of glaring white energy stopping her from moving forward.... aaaaaaaannnnnnnd.... she's leaving the madman in there /with/ Vince.
Honestly, she hates to do it. Hates that she's so much of a coward that she won't stay to fight. Maybe if it was just her, she would. Chances are, the fencer is even more worse off than he appears to be so help is needed immediately.
So she finds the nearest teacher to send out the alarm and get security -- or a handful of fighters to head back in there with. Then she grabs a cellular phone from a passing student, hangs up the call and contacts the police. Not that she figures the police can do much, but they likely know who can! Like maybe the Japanese version of SWAT or super-agents, or /something/. Vince is depending on her.
But once she relays the message to /them/ and they say help is on the way, she places another call to get an ambulance even as she runs toward the nurses office to get more immediate help for him.

COMBATSYS: Alexis has left the fight here.

Igniz            0/-------/-======|

Igniz simply allows Vince to fall to the itself. He simply allows the boy to bleed there with no consideration at all. He had championed the day, set the other to retreat, and more than likely had left his mark once more. But to Igniz, simple victories were not important. They were trinkets that he simply could show the world his strength.

And even then, who would know that? No one. The simple, easiest answer was that Igniz himself would enjoy such things. Even if he had allowed for the strikes to touch and cut, Igniz himself was very tollerant of chi. And, as one could imagine, he could dish the same out himself.

But, as help would arrive, Igniz would not chace, would not really move too much. Instead, he would simply put his foot on the side of the downed Vince and push him off the stage, sending him clumping onto the floor in a bloody mess. From there, he was pleased enough, and would disappear without a trace, instead, only the destruction he had left in his wake. There was no other need for it. No need for him to be here. He had his fill of humanity, and was now tired of it.

There was a throne awaiting him, and that was a calling that he would answer.

How did he disappears so quickly? The same way he came in.

Technology. A small dab would always do.

COMBATSYS: Igniz has ended the fight here.
