Today in the Red Arena, it as Birdie versus Maki! But who Maki was, Birdie couldn't remember. Instead, the brute from Britain just comes out of his own respectable hole in the wall, let in like a bull into a massive bull fighting arena, he stands just a little over several impressive feat. Wearing his usualy studs, a chain, his hair and the vest and jeans combo, Birdie's here to teach a thing or two about breaking heads.
With a grin, the massive brawler grins a shit eating grin as he looks around. No matter the opponent, no matter the challenge, Birdie's gonna like this. Becase Birdie never really hates it, right?
Birdie's a thug, and what do thugs to? They fight. And right here, right now, Birdie's going to be fighting some one. Just wait, some one is going to be here.
Is it you!?
Maki may be rather small compared to Birdie, being that Birdie is pretty much a giant at seven feet tall, while Maki stands only five feet five inches tall, but you have to respect her for having a heart that's bigger than her height. She's not afraid of Birdie in the least bit, in fact she's taken on Katana, who's only slightly smaller than Birdie, and lived to tell about it. In fact, she's knocked him out several times, meaning that Maki's quite looking forward to taking on Birdie.
As Maki steps into the arena from her entrance that leads backstage, the crowd cheers wildly, some of them chanting 'MAKI! MAKI!' as she walks to the arena. She smiles and waves with her tonfa arm to the crowd as she steps into the ring. And then she turns to face Birdie.
The blonde-haired Bushin fighter stares at Birdie, as if sizing him up. Sure, he's huge and towers over Maki like a giant, but the bigger they are, the harder they fall. Maki's eyes narrow a little as she continues to stare at the British giant, shaking her head a little as if to say, "You don't scare me!" And then, she gets into her fighting stance, awaiting the start of the match.
Birdie just looks over towards Maki as she strides out. What's this? That's his opponent? Oh, THAT GIRL. Birdie's saw her before. Even fought her before, but he never forgot that she stole his victory. Oh, that was his. Really his. Really really his, or at least he through so, and Birdie's not going to let her get this.
Twice.
"Haha! Is that ALL? You're still a little runt I'm gonna crush, chick-a-dee. I don't usually be so nasty but in this case I can make an exception. Hahaha!" Birdie states as he hunkers down, expecting anything from the other fighter. Anything.
"A little runt?!" Maki's narrowed eyes seem to narrow a little more as she scowls, gritting her teeth at the same time. "Be careful who you call a 'runt!' Big things do come in small packages, you know." Still, Maki doesn't let her aggression overtake her, knowing that a cool head is the key to victory, not blind rage. She bounces on her heels a few times while waiting for the officials to start the match. Which she doesn't have to wait too long for.
"Fighters, are you ready?" The lead referee in the center of the ring asks. Upon seeing that they're both ready, the referee signals for the bell and yells, "FIGHT!"
As soon as the bell rings, Maki gets into her fighting stance and slowly advances on Birdie, keeping a close eye on him as she does so, attempting to anticipate what's going to start things off here.

"Yeah, a little runt, chick-a-dee!" Birdie cries, a great laugh bellowing from his chest as he steps up. Maki doesn't seem to be moving at all yet. She's still in her position. And that's fine for Birdie. That's perfectly fine. Upon being signaled to go, Maki doesn't. For a second, Birdie just wonders what she's doing, but it becomes all to apparent.
"Ah, hell. You're going to do that? Fine, chick-a-dee. Do what you want!" Birdie states as he makes his way, albiet slowly forward, almost as if he was a garbage truck towards the stepping stones placed before him, trudging through the water.
And what does he do? Pick one of those up, and then toss it towards Maki. "Hah! Catch this you little runt!"

"Do what you will, I'll just-- OOF!" Maki's words are abruptly cut off as the stone strikes her in the face, just before she attempts to dodge out of the way. Apparently she should spend less time talking and more time moving when things like this occur. She finds herself stumbling backwards briefly, but as soon as she stops, she's already shaken off the pain. Just a mere slip-up in this battle, which Maki is determined to win.
"Not bad, I suppose, but I got myself into that by being careless. Don't expect me to do that again, though," Maki says as she advances on Birdie again before bringing her left foot up and aiming the sole of her sneaker at Birdie's oversized gut.

Even as Maki fires herself towards Birdie, the british Brawler doesn't hide. He lurches forward instead, awaiting her strike. And then when it comes, Birdie comes too. Throwing himself head first into the kick, his gut almost feels rock solid. He feels it, but not the way he should, Moving in, Birdie just attempts to get a hold of the leg.
"Haha. Don't expect me to go easy on you either, bloke." Birdie states with a snort, attepting to wrap his hands around her leg as it's in his gut and then pull. From there, he simply attempts to fire her towards the sand, attempting to shot put her all the way to the forest!

Don't ask how a small woman (well, small compared to Birdie) like Maki manages to defend against a throw like that. Because, it's quite simple. It's through determination, willpower, and utilizing all her strength to let Birdie grab her, but she doesn't let him throw her. Instead, she forces him away a little, giving her a little space to regain her stance, before making her next move.
Without wasting any time, Maki abruptly drops down onto the tip of her tonfa, but that's not all she can do. While balancing on the tip of her tonfa, Maki spins around with her leg outstretched like a human whirlwind!

Well, Birdie isn't able to really defend himself there. He could have tried, sure, but in the end it really wasn't going to make a whole lot of difference. Maki's just throwing herself forward, droping down on him with the tonfa, spinning as energy moves about her. Now, Birdie wasn't even expecting that. It just comes down, causing her to spin about him. In a last minute move, he hurls himself at her. It doesn't succeed. Oof. Now Birdie's feeling a little burdened as he's smacked down.
But he gets right back up, moving towards Maki with his chain, even with the energy burns and the battering of his muscles. "Haha. Agile little freak aren't cha. Try to do that in my chain, chick-a-dee! Haha!" Birdie cries, lurching forward with chains outstretched, attempting to catch Maki in the cold carress. If he's successful, she might find herself being choked by Birdie!

The chain is too fast for Maki to avoid. It wraps around her neck and doesn't let go easily. The Bushin fighter struggles to get it off while gagging, trying to get the slightest bit of air into her lungs. All the while she's struggling, it feels like that chain is getting tighter with every moment. She feels like she could pass out, but then somehow she manages to break free.
Now able to get air into her lungs, Maki steps back and takes a moment to focus on breathing while letting herself slow down and regain a little strength so she can actually finish this fight instead of meeting an abrupt end.

Well, what's this. Is Maki actually not throwing herself forward? Well, Birdie isn't too sure. She sure doesn't seem like she's coming back when he lets her out. She's taking a nice long breath. That's handy all right, but Birdie? Birdie isn't going to just let her walk away. It's morethan that here. He's going to continue to watch her.
Watch her nice and closely as he tightens his chain again. Over and over as the heavy links roll about his arm. He's going to make sure that she's going to get it.
"Haha. Rest all you want, chick-a-dee." Birdie grins. Oh what a grin.

Now with more air in her lungs, Maki can focus less on whether or not she'll make it through this fight and more on the determining factors of whether or not she'll survive. Those factors are determined by how well she fights against Birdie, and she's not going to let him off that easily.
"I'm going to be frank with you, and that's I do _NOT_ like being referred to as a chick-a-dee. Granted, you may be from England, but I will be treated with more dignity and respect than that," Maki says, her gaze getting fiercer. And to complement that fierce gaze, Maki rushes at Birdie and brings her tonfa up in a fierce strike, aimed directly at Birdie's chin... or in this case, his torso, since she's not tall enough to reach his chin. Either way, she's swinging it hard, and it's bound to hurt.

Birdie is just watching Maki as she gets back up. He's a large one. Hard to move as Maki will find out sooner or later as he poises himself on his feet. Maki's just gotta keep away from him, and that's all she can possibly hope for. But right now, Maki leaps for Birdie. Telling him that she really doesn't like the way he does things. But Birdie just grins.
"That's alright, chick-a-dee. That's not my bloody problem though." Birdie snorts, evn as she gazes before runing towards his chin, no, his torso. Ah, that would hurt, but Birdie's chains never really did get fully wrapped, now did they? No, they were semi wrapped. As the Tonfa hits them, Birdie lunges forward, aiming to grasp a hold of Maki's hand. Once there, he lifts her up, into he air. Sending her straight up with her own force, Birdie just brings her right back down, aiming to send Maki into the sands. Once there, the chain will simply let go, once more to be raveled.
"Ya' see what I mean?" Birdie's definitely hurting. Just not yet.

In fact, the officials are already checking to see if Maki's knocked out, in case they need to declare a TKO. And no, no Maki isn't it seems as Birdie thrusts himself forward into Maki's own attack, attempting to prepare her for something terrible. But it doesn't work. He must have fell asleep somewhere, or fell on his face. "Hauh..." Birdie states as he's driven backwards by the tonfa strike, his kidneys getting a real hurt!
"Hah. Don't worry, neither am I." Birdie grunts, even as he gets ready for her next strike. Birdie just comes right in, no bells or whistles on this one.
Throwing a powerful punch towards Maki, Birdie jet lets it fly, attempting to simply plow the large fist right into her. Even if the other struck hit, Birdie's a mountain of meat. "Lets see what you can do!" Birdie snort.

The strike hits the mark just like Maki intended it to, but not without its price to pay. One of those very prices is that one of the officials sees where Maki is aiming, and he immediately steps in to yell a warning at Maki for blows like that. "Hey, watch the kidneys!" He yells while shaking his finger at Maki.
It's a good thing he wasn't hit by Maki, since he was in close range, and if Maki were really in a bad mood, he might've taken a tonfa strike or worse. As it is, Maki simply narrows her eyes and gives a very small nod as if to say, 'Yeah, whatever, now get outta here!'
But as luck would have it, that's the only price Maki really has to pay. Her serious injury from Birdie has really got her senses on high alert, and that fist that's coming at her ends up getting nothing but air as the Bushin fighter jumps out of the way. But she doesn't stop there, instead jumping backwards onto a nearby raised obstacle that allows her to get a little extra height. And even then she doesn't stop there. Instead, she rebounds off of it and jumps into the air before going downwards toward Birdie with her right foot extended, aimed right at his head!

Even as Maki lurches into Birdie, Birdie doesn't just give up. That would be for quiters. Maki just fires herself toward him once more, but Birdies not going t simply give Maki the victory. He's going to make sure that whatever she does is going to be a lot harder. Just give him time. And then, well, Maki begins to fire herself towards Birdie once more.
Even some one comes in to 'fight' for Birdie. Well, Birdie doesn't really care. "Screw off old timer, I can freakin' take her!" Birdie snorts, even as Maki leaps about, moving towards Birdie with her leg extended.
Alright. Birdie can live with that. Attempting to grab a hold of her foot as it strikes his side, he just aims to use the momentum to throw her all the way int the water on the far side of the arena.
He's not even going to let her get away with this.

That's the thing about being such an agile fighter like Maki. Not only are you quick on your feet when you're attacking, but when you're finishing up your attack you can also escape quickly if you're careful enough. Meaning that as soon as Maki hits her opponent, she's able to literally spring out of the way of Birdie's grasp, landing on the ground with a roll, although that part does hurt a little given that she's sustained some previous injury. Meaning that when she finishes, she's crouched down, but holding her side a little as she gets back up. Muttering a few choice words under her breath (you're probably better off not knowing what they are,) Maki turns to face Birdie again.
"Looks like the tides have changed, but anything can happen. Let's see what you're capable of, hmm?" Maki says with a slight smirk as she awaits the next move from Birdie.

Birdie just watches as Maki just holds back. Birdie's just shaking his head. Tides have turned? Haha. Birdie's gotta laugh about this some time, but still, he's not going to simply allow Maki to get away with it all. "Hah hah hah. Alright, chick-a-dee. I'm reallly tired of you. All you do is fly around like the bull shit you're pulling now. If you really want me to go back to doing this, than I will." Birdie snorts, "That's no skin of my bloody nose. But just watch this, will ya?" Birdie calls, grasping a nice thick tree before hurling it towards Maki, attempting to crush her under its weight.

Here's a question for you: What kind of fighter can dodge faster than a tree?
Answer: Anyone, since trees can't move... erm, scratch that, there's a tree coming at Maki right now. It appears Birdie's quite the strongman and is intent on proving that to Maki the hard way. However, Maki's going to prove that even a tree that's coming at her can't slow her down.
Using the ability to balance on the tip of her tonfa once again, Maki uses it to do a forwards handspring (OK, tonfa-spring?) to the side to avoid that incoming tree. Where it lands, nobody knows, and the officials aren't about to give Birdie a warning for that one, since they don't want to risk incurring Birdie's wrath!
As for Maki herself, she's starting to feel the rush of adrenaline within her body, and decides to take a moment to focus on increasing that surge inside of her as a way of increasing her fighting capabilities.

Well, anyone can dodge trees! Birdie was hoping that Maki would trip up! However, that was not the case here. Instead, Birdie just watched fully well as Maki hurls herself about, over the tree and coming down. But she doesn't attack. Birdie just watches Maki. Okay, so she's going to do that huh? Birdie just going to grin and shake his his head, once more picking up a tree, but small, and turning it about towards Maki this time. And like so, Birdie hurls it, attempting to strike it right into Maki!

As soon as Maki finishes charging up her inner power, she comes out of her 'trance' to find that there's a smaller tree coming at her. Since she doesn't have time to move out of the way, Maki does the next best thing by getting into the best defensive stance she can muster and brace for the impact. As it hits her, Maki finds herself grunting a little as she finds the pain is noticeable, but not as bad as it could've possibly been. But now that Maki's inner power is at its maximum capacity, it's time to go all out on Birdie.
With a deep breath and then a yell, Maki rushes at Birdie, with her tonfa at the ready. If this succeeds, she'll deliver a swift flurry of tonfa strikes and kicks that should really leave an impression on the big guy!

Birdie just watches as Maki strikes over and over and over and over again! Birdie's thrust backwards as he stumbles back, even as he's being sent over, hurting still. Birdie snorts, even as Maki strikes Birdie over and over and over again. It's terrible, the many tonfa strikes over and over again continue to bash into him. Birdie's in pain. A lot of pain actualy, but still, Birdie gets back up, looking towards Maki and squinting. He's barely seeing anymore, but he can see Maki. So in turn, Birdie's going to try a simple move.
Like any angered bull, Birdie rushes towards Maki, attempting to spear her on his horn.

The flurry of strikes hits the mark well, and Maki's feeling pretty proud of herself. Unfortunately, that also leads to a little bit of arrogance on her part too, since as soon as she's finished, she happens to see Birdie charging at her like a bull, and she thinks that she can avoid this with ease.
No such luck.
Before she even knows what happened, she's being hit hard by Birdie's hard head, and is sent flying through the air and onto the hard ground. In her flight, though, Maki manages to stick out her tonfa for one last strike. But once she hits the ground, it's likely she's out.

Birdie just fails hard, even as she strikes a head of her. Birdie just sort of falls backwards, even as the head strikes, he's knocked back, being send backwards with a great distaste in his mouth. With a snort, Birdie just falls back and sits down. He's pained.
Through some kind of miracle, just before Maki hits the ground, she rolls forwards, albeit with a little difficulty, and lands in a crouched position. The officials were rushing over to prepare to check on her, and even they were surprised when Maki showed a sudden burst of energy on her part. Despite still being a bit battered and bruised, including a leg that looks like it's a little wobbly, Maki's still in this fight.
Seeing her opponent sitting down, albeit having just been hit in the head, Maki isn't entirely sure what to make of this. So she decides to test Birdie a little by rebounding off of another nearby tree and flying at him again, except this time with a bit more speed, and if this kick connects, it's gonna hit hard. To top that off, Maki's gonna follow up with a tonfa strike to make things more interesting!

Even as Maki comes flying for him, Birdie brings his hands up to stop it, and it does! However, Birdie's sent backwards, and he's a little woozie, so Birdie just comes right back towards Maki, sending himself forward towards Maki and throws himself forward attempting to impale Maki, and then, kaboom it's the end for Birdie!

It's all over for Birdie, as he's officially defeated. To top that off, his attempt to impale the Bushin fighter backfired on him big time. Even in her injured state, Maki's sudden burst of adrenaline that brought her back from the brink of defeat gives her the ability to dodge out of the way with the greatest of ease. But that's not to say that it's without its flaws, since Maki finds her leg buckling on her as she lands, causing her to drop down and hold her leg in pain. One of the officials goes to check on her, while the others stop the match and award Maki the match by a knockout.
"Ladies and gentlemen, the winner of tonight's Neo League match is Maki Genryusai!"
As that announcement is made over the intercom, a mixture of cheers and boos can be heard. Maki nods to the official checking on her to indicate that she's OK, and then stands up to greet her cheering fans before hobbling off to the backstage area for treatment.
