Description: PYRAMID FIGHT! Watch Tessa decimate Iincyo in this match of two girls! The shield isn't necessary, but it proves if you have a solid wall of defense.. sometimes they'll truly run into it enough to fall over. ( Winner: Tessa )
ONLY IN SUCH A FIGHTING LEAGUE, WILL YOU FIGHT UPON THE SUN AND THE MOON.
However, since it's hard to cross those landmasses, instead, there is a fight on the Temple of the Moon and the Temple of the Sun! Set in the ruins, the competitors are encouraged to not roll down the many tiered layers of either, especially since they are being put onto the temple of the moon. The Sun temple? Who needs it! And it might just burn people up! The temple is set as the background, while the competitors for this RUIN-OUS Neo League take their places!
Standing to one side on the Ziggurat temple, CHAIRPERSON! makes her appearance once more, her cape shifting in the wind, her cat-ears staying up and as novelty-ish as ever, and her big C! shirt rippling lightly in the wind. And there's one thing she can note!
BOY IS IT HOT!
Fanning herself with her cape, CHAIRPERSON just hopes the other competitor gets her sooner, not having planned for such billowing heat! At least it's somewhat comforting that heatstroke is a bit away, but how long could that be?!
The cameras aren't rolling yet, but with the temple's outside turned into a battle, what will be done!?
Wow, Tessa can't really say she was expecting this sort of venue choice out of the Neo League. SNF, sure, they've put her on some crazy stages, but Neo League is for one on one battles and--- She hasn't done many Neo League matches yet, okay? That is, if she's even done ONE. She can't even remember at this point it's been so long! She's been busy trying to get a team together and stuff!
What's important though, is that the shieldmaiden shows up on time and comes prepared to the match and all that though. And when she sees how her opponent is dressed when she appears on the other side of the pyramid thing? Lo and behold she remembers her last match, because obviously what we have here is another superhero like Himeko! ...why are they always teenagers?
"Well... at least this one looks serious.." the Roman woman thinks aloud, standing there in her usual Chinese silk dress with shield drawn and propped out in front of her. And of course, when the announcer see they're both ready, he gives the signal to "Fight!"

Oh, Iincyo is always serious! .. But when she is CHAIRPERSON! she is SERIOUS IN A DIFFERENT WAY. Seriously .. SOMETHING. That's right! Seriously ahead of the game? Maybe seriously on top of things? Or SERIOUSLY SUPER-SPENDIFOROUS. Whatever it is.. clearly SERIOUS.
As the shieldmaiden makes her presence known, the burning up teen finishes fanning herself and then points towards the shieldmaiden, looking at the shield as well as the Roman woman, thinking as she sizes her up, slowly edging closer, using the ledges to 'flank'. Yes. She's going slowly upwards. THE ADVANTAGE GOES TO THOSE ABOVE!
"This one ... You met my teacher, Himeko!? Nyaaah how fortunate!" She exclaims, pumping a fist. "NOW.. you face CHAIRPERSON!" She poses once, before she leaps towards Tessa, launching down towards her, feet extended as she crashes down, cape blowing from her motion!
"This is it .. CHAIRPERSON! HAS LEAP INTO THE OFFENSE!" She cries out, as she barrels down!
She will give it everything she has! Hee-YAH! In truth, she's been shirking on her responsibilities.. at least training, for Himeko's sake, and the sake of her team mates!

Ah wait, maybe she's not as prepared as she thought! Did she just get a cramp? She remembered to stretch before she came out here and everything! Maybe it's the heat. Yeah, let's blame the heat. But no matter what excuse she tries to make up for herself, she still failed to get out of the way, or pull her shield up for Chairperson to kick instead.
"Oop..!" and then she's on the ground for a couple of seconds before kicking back up to her feet and straightening herself back out, putting her guard up more properly. "Pretty good. But I'm not gonna let that phase me." Tess calls out before using her shield to attack back, swinging it like it's an extention of her fist and trying to smack the younger girl away with it!

Attempting to leap out of the way of the shield, instead, Iincyo meet the shield head first! Striking against her, the young woman clattering away from the assault. "OOF!" She cries out, striking the ground and rolling a bit on the Temple, grasping onto the edge as she nearly goes rolling off one of the steps.
"... Ah wasn't supposed to do it so late." She mentions to herself, before realizing .. aahhh that's not what she wanted to bring up! It was unfortunate, but such things happen! "NYAAAH HERE I COME!" Kicking off the edge, Iincyo flips forwards, back onto the ledge, and attempt to leap forwards and grab a hold of Tessa's leg, before YANKING it away, and hopefully with the girl with her!
Yanking forwards.. well.. it's certainly better than trying to go under that shield!
"Hah, CHAIRPERSON! Is a student of Saikyo.. she has to be pretty good!" She exclaims, before going for the lunge!

Tessa has no idea what Iincyo *did* bring up just then so she's a little confused. But hey, as long as her opponent runs into her shield and not her! But to all that rolling"Whoa, hey, don't fall off! What would I tell your teacher?" is what she feels the need to say. But maybe the Chairperson meant to do that, since she kicks back off the edge pretty easily and comes flying at her.
"Hm, nope, I like to keep my feet on the ground thanks." the shieldmaiden adds when the grab for her leg is made, and she reacts at just the right moment by apparently spreading her stance and tensing her calf *really hard*. But what happens after that..?
She tries to return the favor, that's what! She shield is left hanging by a strap of some kind on her arm while the Roman tries to reach for Chairperson's leg with both hands, to pick her up by them and swing her overhead before slamming her down on the opposite side from where she started.

It comes again! As the shieldmaiden comes forwards, reaching for her leg, the Roman grasps onto her, before causing her to slam into the ground at the side where opposite she started. It was rather painful for sure. "MEW.. Oof.." She cries out, she's laying, now slightly bloody, before picking herself up. "This always hurts." She comments, before dusting herself off, and slowly inching away, moving to the side and then dusting herself off once more.
Maybe she should .. actually try? Iincyo has this unfortunate habit of trying the same thing over, and here it comes again. She could have probably prevented the assault, but she wants to keep all her options open! So she tries to keep that option of not having her hands mush, but it fails her. It's an odd one.
But then as she walks away, her energy spikes, flaring about her as she gives into the large amount of energy loss.
" NYAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!" POWER UP CHAIRPERSON, POWER UP!
"This might be dangerous!"

Aw, it's no fun hurting kids that haven't done you any wrong. Er, besides kicking you really hard. But this is a pay per view fight and all. Tessa had to do it! She really needs to earn some of the money back she's lost since Naerose started mooching off of her! And besides, this is supposed to be a superhero she's fighting, right? They've got a cape! And... now a *really* big aura!
"Whoa! Cut that out!" the shieldmaiden ends up shouting, looking around herself for something other than her shield to throw at the girl. She kinda still needs that.
What she inevitably chooses is an old broken up peice of the temple floor, which she bends down to scoop up and then lobs at Chairperson like a cannonball. It's really heavier than it looks!

With Tessa looking on, she decides the best idea is to take up the temple floor and then chuck towards Iincyo like a cannonball.. and boy does it hurt! Skidding backwards, Chairperson ends up with her arms bleeding rather badly, but otherwise, she's somewhat alright. "Ow Ow Ow..." She's not meant for such things like this, and even CHAIRPERSON! cannot take blood loss well. It just doesn't work that way.
With Tessa still unhurt for the most part, what does IIncyo do? You're right when you say 'nothing', because she merely sits back, looking at Tessa as she falls into a position to strike at the woman! Maybe she'll even have a chance!
"Even if it's over, I'll still fight until ... uh ..... Ah..."
She stops dead for a moment. "I guess I might have hit my head too hard."

Oh no, what if she gave her a concussion? The students at Taiyo are going to think she's some kind of villain aren't they? Ah, but at least she blocked the chunk of stone! That could've hit her in the head and then---
"Um, what's over? The fight? We just started! C'mon, I'm sure you're fine! I can feel your energy from all the way over here! And I know what you're waiting for, too. So come on then, show me what you've got!" the Strolheim elite yells, trying to sound both brave and encouraging at the same time, just being she brings her shield to bear against her shoulder and charges ahead to clear the distance between them. And if she gets close enough, she's going to go for what can only be described as a rising shield uppercut. And like any shoryuken-esque attack, it's going to hurt if it works.

As Tessa explains the fight just started, Chairperson has something to say herself! "It might have but .. I just can't keep up." She exclaims, and as Tessa goes on to say she has more, Iincyo just stomps a foot, CHAIRPERSON! angry at this whole thing. Of course she's not as good as some of these people!! She's tried her damndest to even do SOMETHING! To be SOMEWHAT competitive!
When Tessa comes forwards, she doesn't think. Instead, Chairperson just lashes out towards Tessa, arms spearing towards the Shoryuken like assault as she strikes forwards, breaking through most of the assault, and then slamming a kick straight to the center of Tessa! It hurts Chairperson, at least, but she has to keep trying .. somehow. It's not entirely easy to keep this up!
"Look .. I .. can't keep it up!" Because the strike was enough to cause a nice wound on her, more blood easily noticable. It's just .. too much for the Taiyo warrior!?
Perhaps she'll never live up to Himeko!
Even if that's how Iincyo really feels, she still just caught Tessa in the stomach with her foot, when she was running. AND jumping. It knocks the wind right out of the more adult woman. Plus, she loses her grip on her shield and it kind of clatters to the floor, making a lot of noise before it finally settles.
The shieldmaiden herself isn't really hurt all that bad, and she's certainly not bleeding yet. But that's only because the Chairperson doesn't have exploding paper sledgehammers and divebombing paper airplanes and crap! But yeah, she still has to get some air back in her before she can speak, so she coughs a bit.
"Hey, I don't want you to feel bad or anything. Using a shield is too much sometimes I guess, but I'm perfectly happy to fight without it. This is supposed to be a competition after all. And it doesn't sound to me like you want to give up. So you just take as long as you need to prepare, and then come at me again. I hope you won't take it as an insult if I take it a little bit easier. I don't think I'm better than you or anything, I'm just used to a lot rougher stuff." Strolheim is really hardcore about the training!

As the shield maiden puts down her guard, Iincyo stares at her. Tossing away the ears, and just looking at her, she happens to break her 'persona' for a moment to look rather simply towards Tessa. And just staring at her for a bit, Chairperson doesn't make a motion. She doesn't even do anything but turn around.
"Look. Just because I say I can't keep it up .. doesn't mean I want you to go easy on me. I admit what I said made it look like I needed to stop, but honestly... if I wanted you to go 'easier' on me, then I would have wasted EVERYTHING I trained for. I'll never be good as most of the people in these fights brackets. But what's the point if I don't try." She comments.
Turning around, she points at Tessa. "SO GET TO DOING SOMETHING! I'm not going to move a muscles until you do something beyond just stand there WAITING for me!" Contradictory to what she says, she isn't going to just use the time to get back up.

Tessa reaches up to rub at the back of her head, mussing some of that spiky hair of hers in the process. "Well, fine. But I'm not going to keep hitting you with a big piece of metal when you're all bloody like that. I'm supposed to be a hero too, you know. So from now on, I'm going to wrestle you. And since I have two styles, that's not necessarily a handicap. Got it?"
The woman then bounces on her heels a bit and tries to loosen up a bit more. "Besides. I feel faster without it. So here I go!" she calls, and then makes at attempt at rushing the now sans catears Chairperson down and putting her in an armlock. It's not a submission move, but it's meant to work the joint in an opponent's shoulder and weaken it. At least there's no chance of bloodloss!

And with all the effort she gives into it, Iincyo charges towards Tessa as she rushes towards her, trying to simply put her into an armlock after putting her to the ground. But as CHAIRPERSON crashes forwards, she does so with such force, that the crash causes her to go skidding, and the wrench of the arm nearly dislocates it!
It's because she fights against it with such speed, trying to simply pull back and let Tessa have it! But such things cannot happen, and do not happen, as Chairperson is instead wrenched about, gritting her teeth from the pain.
"S-SAIKYO STYLE.. i-is .. still .. t-the best!" She tries to exclaim, and break away! .. But her arm is hurting in ways that it just shoulder be. That's what you get when you try to break out! Sometimes you just make it worse.
And that was such a low margin of error too.
Tessa even tries to let go when she feels what's happening, but it's too late by that point! Iincyo's already skidded on the rough, gritty temple floor by then and hurt herself trying to jerk out of the armlock too quickly. She can't really blame the Taiyo spokesgirl for wanting to escape, but who can she blame? Neo League for making them fight in such a dangerous place? She probably wouldn't be bleeding like this if they were at Chairperson's school...
"Saikyo, huh? Yeah, Himeko tried to sell me on that stuff." the Roman remarks as she rolls back up to her feet, beating her dress a bit to get the dust off. "If you both use the same style though, then how come you use so much karate?" she asks with a curious look. But she doesn't just stand there and wait for the girl to reply to that. She at least throws a punch along with it so as not to hurt Chairperson's pride.

As Tessa throws a punch, CHAIRPERSON RUNS FORWARDS TOWARDS IT. She would explain to Tessa, but it doesn't matter by that point, as CHAIRPERSON instead runs straight infront the fist. There's very little to be said, or to respond to, when you're unable to keep up the fight! .. Or to really fight, actually. Chairperson ends up unable to continue! .. And thus crashes backwards, flailing. "W-woah!"
And that's bad, because the temple isn't exactly a flat surface.
Thud. Thud. Roll Roll thud thud.
She comes to a stop near the bottom however, even if she'll need a day in bed at least, and then maybe some time beyond that to recover from just a normal Neo League!
Maybe she needs more training.
No way! Tessa was trying so hard not to cause a fall like that! So many of her special techniques are all about RAMMING SPEED and running you over with a chariot that such a thing really limited her options, too. And now that the Chairperson has managed to make herself look like an lady who slipped and fell down the stairs, the only thing Tess has left to feel good about is 'Hey, at least I didn't hit her hard enough to roll *up* the side of the *other* temple.' Yeah, like that helps.
And as the medics rush to help Iincyo, and the announcer is declaring the shieldmaiden the winner, she grabs one of the cameras and pulls it to her to ask, "That wasn't my fault, right? You all saw what happened. This place is bad luck or something!"
