Neo League 660 - #669: Sergio vs Domino

Description: The first Neo League match in a long time for both contenders, Sergio and Domino. Moreover, these two had faced each other previously with explosive results. Massive demonstrations of power and control abound, both in both chi and wrestling forms. The match comes down to the wire once again, until a submission hold finally decides the outcome. (Winner: Domino)

Hong Kong is a place thats been known for its partying and night life ever since its creation. Though now officially a part of China its reputation has been maintained, easily being one of the top ten destinations in Asia, and perhaps the world, for those with lots of money looking to blow it in extravagant fashion.

Gone from the fighting sceneover the last several months has been an eccentric Italian known as Sergio. For the longest time League officials have been trying to track him down so they can send fighters his way- hes been gone for over a full season! There hadnt been any luck at all, but now, finally, the fighter has been tracked down. And where else would the hard partying man be but Hong Kong, throwing away his fighting gains on booze and women?

The current Neo League fight is being set up right in the heart of the Hong Kong downtown, on a sidewalk outside of a fancy restraint. Cameras are set up everywhere, ready to film whats about to go down. And Sergio? He can be seen half-staggering out of the restraint with a lovely Eurasians on each arm. Ahh! This is the life, Im tellin ya! Kick peoples asses for five months, live life to the fullest for five more! If anyone asks why the fight is being held here? Theyd be simply told that Sergio was going to be hanging around Hong Kong for just a bit more, and didnt want his routine disrupted, so they fit the thing in on his schedule.

Who does this guy think he /is/ anyway, Rock Howard? He definitely thinks hes something, by the way he walks, finally letting go of the two women and stepping into the cordoned off area. "Alright! Whos the fool they decided to letme get my hands on this time?" The easy grin on his face at least makes it somewhat obvious hes being a smartass. Hes only /half/ full of himself.

Who's the fool? Why, none other than Domino... who.. uh.. has also been absent for quite some time. Nevertheless, the young, brash, cocky grappler has decided it's high time he reminds the public that he exists. And what better way to do that than to jump right into the thick of things? And Sergio's one he'd like to take another crack at anyway. It works out, see?

So while Sergio has made his way into the fighting zone, Domino slinks about the audience quietly. One might think that a robed, hooded figure would draw eyes, but the crowd is pretty darn thick. Fortunately, it's thick enough to keep most people from noticing the 'SHOOTING STARS' logo on the garment. But Domino takes his cue to enter after he asks his challenging question.

With a flip through the air, the hooded figure rises over the cordoned ropes and lands near the center of the fighting zone. In a single, swift turnabout action, the robe is fully removed and cast out to the audience for safekeeping (or stealing, woe), leaving Domino in a set of fighting gear. His right fist clenches in the air, then points at Sergio, wild smile on his lips. "That'd be me. I'm here to set the record straight!" Pre-match trash-talking. A lot of the fun of being a professional wrestler, right there. "..How ya been, buddy?"

"Oh, hey, I know you! You're that guy I fought in China." Elaborate- you're in China now! "That sure was a run down old village, wasn't it?" Well, it looks like Sergio does remember this guy after all. A wide grin sets on his face. "So, you're ready to take another crack at good ol' Sergio, are you? Glad to hear it! You were pretty tough, last I remember." If the man seems to be someone off his rocker, it'd make sense- from the looks of it he's totally sloshed. Re-entering the world of fighting drunk? Why the hell not?

He cracks his knuckles a bit, eager to get started now that his opponent is here and it's a sure thing. "Tell ya' what. You beat me and I'll take you around and show you the sights. They've got some clubs here you wouldn't believe- and the women!"

He thinks for a moment, which is hard in his state. "And if I win... well, I'm sure you'll think of something. Come on, lets go!" The man drops into a brawlers stance, one fist forward, one fist back, one leg forward, one leg back. Sergio fights on lots of instinct and very little finesse- ought to be interesting to see how inebriation effects his fighting!

The fact that Domino is remembered is pleasing. He'd been out of the spotlight so long, he was starting to worry he'd been forgotten completely! But then again, Sergio -is- someone he fought before. And listening to the man talk, and seeing how he carries himself, the young model comes to a surprising conclusion.

"Dude, you're -hammered-."

Not that it makes any difference to him. A fight's a fight, and he's here to do battle. No need to make a big deal of it. It's just amusing!

But quickly enough, Domino is back to his game, grinning. "I'll come up with something, if you pull a win." But that marks the end of Domino's Light Side. He enters his fighting pose, left foot forward and right foot back in a shallow backstance. His left arm is held steady along his side closest to Sergio, hand flat, while the right hand stays aloft at chest level, fingers splayed. His expression is now humorless and grim, amethyst eyes narrowed on his opponent.

And that's when they're called to fight.

Immediately, Domino closes the distance to Sergio and makes a grapple attempt. His left arm goes to hook around the man's chest while his right arm sweeps under his feet to hoist him into a cradled position, then promptly drop to a knelt position, smashing Sergio over his upturned knee in a backbreaker. If this succeeds, his left hand sets under Sergio's chin and right hand to one of his legs, both pushing down to arch him painfully.

COMBATSYS: Sergio fails to interrupt Star Breaker from Drake with Fierce Punch.

"Haha, you're damn right I am! What would I be doing in a place like this if it wasn't getting hammered." A wily grin is given to the younger man as he comments on what can only become more and more apparent as time goes by. Well, it won't be the first time it's happened. Hell- it won't be the first time it's happened to him!

A grinning nod is given to Domino, "I'll look forward to it." Sergio is casually standing in his fighting pose as Drake slips into his own. That serious look upon Drake's face- it's something that is in no way reflected upon the Italian's. If the wrestler is calm and calculated, Sergio is emotional and... stupid? No, something more instinctual than flat out stupid.

Drake shoots forward towards him and Sergio reacts, his right arm lifting up and suddenly crashing downward, attempting to catch the wrestler with a hammer fist to the nose as he moves within grappling distance. Point of fact: Being drunk throws off your perception horribly. The fist merely shoots past the man's face, a pent up chiburst of water splashing out when impact would have been made.

"Augh!" It's from both the pain of the grab and the annoyance of failure.

"If you wanted a hug, you could have just asked!" Smartass- it's not even that kind of hold!

Domino isn't the greatest conversationalist when he's taken up his Dark Side persona. He'll spare a few words here and there, but that's mostly for the audience's benefit. Otherwise, it's uncommon for him to speak. So Sergio's remark gets a brief, odd look from the wrestler.

Domino doesn't linger on it, though. He has other things to handle; like switching up one submission hold for another. Essentially trying to keep his hands in place at Sergio's chin and leg, Domino attempts to shove him off of his knee in favor of laying him on his side. With his back still set to his knee, Domino begins pulling fiercely.

COMBATSYS: Sergio dodges Drake's Medium Throw.

Light side, dark side. It doesn't matter to Sergio. What matters is that he's facing down a powerful wrestler who he just barely managed to defeat the one time they fought before. And it seems that however drunk he is he's still able to feel Domino switching up his hold, and quickly takes advantage of it. When the hands are released to be moved he acts, rolling of his own volition away from him and hitting the sidewalk in a three point stance, facing him.

At that point he leaps forward, kicking hard with his right leg to try and catch the man in the chest to force him backwards. If he hits solidly enough his fists smash out, sending three hard punches across his upper body before ending in a palmstrike that'd stop just before hitting, a blast of water shooting out from the extended limb. "Hah!"

As Sergio manages to get away, Domino raises to his full height again. This is just in time to see the man leaping at him, which he attempts to evade - only to move a hint too slow. He's struck heavily, and the three following hits smash through him as well. The final blast of water sends him flying back, landing on the clear other side of the fighting zone facedown.

Gritting his teeth, Domino pushes himself back up to his full height and narrows his eyes on the man. He dashes forth again, this time weaving low and aside, attempting to maneuver in behind Sergio's back to lock his arms around the man's abdomen. If caught, Domino bridges his back to drive his head against the ground behind him in a German suplex.

Sergio is feeling pretty good about himself after landing those hits, the familiar sting of his knuckles after punching someone reminding him of how exhilarating it can be to fight against someone who can actually fight back decently. Drake's coming back at him fast, causing Sergio very little concern for all that. His hand reaches up to scratch at the back of his head, "Hmm. Well, this worked last time, so!"

He drops down low, legs spread in a imitation of a power stance, an immense amount of power suddenly building up inside of him. Sergio slams his fist forward and a low rumbling is felt in the ground, "HAAH!" A grin plays on his face as a massive torrent of water shoots up from the ground, obscuring Domino from his view as a huge portion of the sidewalk rips free and goes washing down the road.

About then is when he feels arms around his gut. "Aw SHIT!" Caught in the recovery period of his attack, which singularly failed to so much as get Domnio damp since he circled around, he's completely open to the suplex, lifted up and over, his head twisting at a nasty angle as he's crushed into the ground. "Erghk!"

Domino releases his grip when impact is made, and he twists around to face him again. Holy crap, he dodged a bullet with that one. He -hates- that move of his. But now Sergio appears to be vulnerable to attack. Or at least prone!

This is an ideal opportunity! Domino makes a leap for a lamp post. And once perched atop, he thrusts his right fist into the air to signal the audience. A bright smile touches to his features, eyes briefly shut to preen for their benefit. Then immediately, he springs into the air in a double backflip. On the second rotation, his limbs unfurl, pulling his torso taut to splash across Sergio's in a high-flying moonsault.

COMBATSYS: Sergio blocks Drake's Darkside Slam.

The tall Italian topples over the moment he's released, gritting his teeth in pain. Jesus! You never realize how much having your head smashed into concrete is going to hurt until it actually happens to you. The man shakes his head, clearing the fog out of it- though only that produced by the impact, not the fog from all the liquor.

He looks around for Domino after he jumped up onto the pole, scratching the back of his head. "Huh?" Luckily there's an audience to help him- they're all looking at the man standing triumphantly up there! A grin plays across his face, "Want me, huh? Then come and get me!" Well, sure, great to say that when he's already jumping off of there.

After a pair of flips Drake smashes into Sergio, but everything does not go as planned. First off, the man stiff-arms the American, his left forearm held in front of himself to absorb the blow, and secondly... damn can he sprawl! His stance is rock solid, and his lowering stance keeps him on his feet and relatively unharmed.

And then there's his right arm... dropped low to the ground, which can mean only one thing. You can almost see a pinging glint in his teeth as he grins, his arm suddenly rocketing upward in a blatantly stolen technique, his body twisting sideways as he lifts into the air for a powerful raising uppercut, water streaming out after the limb, "Water Dragon Punch!"

Domino banks into the arms and rebounds off of him like a rubber ball. It's not because Domino's torso is, in fact, made of bouncy-ball. It's because Sergio just plain didn't go down. So the rebounding wrestler twists through the air in the opposite direction and curls up again, managing to land himself in a crouch.

"Huh. Good save."

Domino closes in quickly again, however, hoping to keep the pressure on his Italian opponent. When the powerhouse ducks, his approach slows a little. Next thing he knows, the man has thrust himself into the air with an uppercut. Domino's body leans back to narrowly skirt a strike, while his arms lash out to grab ahold of the rising man - one arm over his shoulder, the other hooking a leg.

Captured, Domino torques his body over and uses Sergio's own momentum to drive him down to the ground in a powerslam, Domino landing crossways. Following this, the wrestler pulls forward into a roll, raising up to his feet once more to assume his stance.

"Thanks." Well, it seems the closed lipped fighter was willing to say something after all. Of course, any gratitude that Sergio may have for it is quickly interrupted by pain as he's grappled out of the air, his body momentum twisted into an arc as he's planted firmly head first into the ground again. "Agh, stop doing that!"

The man grits his teeth and gets back up, rubbing at his head and shaking it a bit, "I'm gonna get a freakin' rock stuck in there, if you keep doing that crap!" Still, an easy smile forms onto his face afterwards- he's not really mad, just giving a bit more trash talk. "Hmm." The large man crosses his arms and considers, "All right, you got out of the way the first time... but this time you're not going to be near so lucky!"

What does that mean? It means that Sergio's going to try and crush him with a wall of water, of course. He drops down into a low power stance once again, and pulls his right arm back, the limb quivering a bit as he draws up the power. "Doesn't matter if you see it coming- it's going to get you anyway!" With that pronouncement his hand his thrust forward, "HAAH!"

The ground rumbles predictably, and now a whole different part of the sidewalk is turned to rubble, water and huge hunks of concrete shooting away from him towards the nimble wrestler. Question is will his words be true, or just blowhardy?

Domino quirks an eyebrow at him, but he doesn't have anything more to say. He'll just... try to not merge Sergio's head with a rock. It's unsportsman-like. But the warning is heeded... and rightfully so, all things considered. He recalls this technique of Sergio's very well, and how much it got in the way last time. So this time around, he's keeping his wits soundly about him, immediately considering counter-measures.

When the aquatic energy is blasted forth, Domino takes to the air in a series of flips, taking him over and to a second lamp post - this one much closer to Sergio than the other. As he nears the object, he simply grabs ahold of the pole and latches to it sideways, feet on the metal, left hand keeping him aloft. When the water clears, Domino descends upon Sergio with the intent to fall behind him, arms hooking around his neck to pull him backwards into a pair of upturned knees. A spinebuster, for those who recognize the maneuver.

Sergio stands up and swings his right arm in front of himself when Domino shoots skillfully above the raging waters and lands out of harms way, snapping his finger. "Bah! I'll get you next time, that's for sure." Next time isn't now, of course, because he's got Domino shooting down again, trying to get behind him. This time the man doesn't seem to attempt any kind of action, either evasive or to stop some of the pain coming his way. What ends up happening is that Drake gets that hold he wants and jams his knees into him. It hurts, but... well, he's used to pain!

With a huge grin on his face he pulls his arms in front of himself, and then slams them back while hooked, trying to crush the man's head between his elbows while he maintains his hold, even managing to blast water from the joints as he does so, showing off his impressive control over his gift.

Domino doesn't try to maintain the hold very long, seeing Sergio's arms lifting. He instead tries to adopt a different maneuver... which bombs for him. His arms simply move too slow to catch him, and the result is a severely smashed Domino lying on his back on the ground. He groans quietly, then tries to roll over to begin drawing himself back up to his feet, head hanging. Despite the fact that his hair is now soaked from the water attack, it manages to maintain its style. Likely a modeling secret, that.

Domino's reversal attempt isn't even noticed by Sergio- how could he, when his back was turned like that? All he knows is that he smacked the guy pretty damn hard in the side of his head, and now he's on the ground. By the time he's turned around, Drake is back to his feet. Lucky for the model, the water will quickly evaporate from his hair. ...actually, that might not be a good thing- a lack of water will simply leave it looking a mess, not merely soaked and mussed!

"Hah! Gotcha." Sergio will of course taunt when he makes contact- it's just his nature. He'll taunt himself into a corner and taunt some more, if only because it's fun. "Time to change it up!" The man suddenly reaches /into his shirt/ and whips out a length of rope, stepping backwards and flinging it at Drake. As it spins through the air a vortex of water takes hold of it, spinning it quickly around and holding it at neck height, in order to try and strangle the crap out of him while the water assaults him.

Domino stands himself up and gives his head a quick shake to clear his thoughts. The taunting is noted.. but eh. He's not a taunter so much, himself. Threatening? Talking big about himself? That's more his style. But for right now, he has to regain his concentration.

And that's when he spies the rope.

Domino's eyes widen, and he immediately weaves low and to the side, letting the would-be garot cinch on nothing. Hoping for him to continue without realizing something is amiss, the nimble wrestler rushes around to Sergio's front. From there, his hands make a sudden grab for the Italian's shoulders...

The hands dig in deeply to Sergio's shoulders, and he gives a sudden, firm yanking to force him in close quarters and doubled over. He then catches the man's head between his legs, and Domino's arms lock around his torso. In an instant, he's hoisted the Italian up off his feet, inverted, in piledriver position.

But he doesn't simply drop down to deliver the hit. That would be far too easy. Domino instead immediately begins crushing the man's midsection in an inverted bearhug, arms becoming as tight as they can manage. Once at that degree, they lock onto him.

Turning to the audience, Domino suddenly shoots into the air with his prey, maintaining pressure. As they climb, Domino curls into a flipping motion, rotating over and over again and picking up speed. By the time they're on the descent, the two are a single blur of motion.

The momentum from the insane spinning comes to a shattering halt as Drake concludes the piledriving, sending Sergio's head into the ground. Again. Only this is also backed up with their combined bodyweights and the drop from the jump's elevation. The ground caves in beneat the force of the impact, sending rubble scattering into the air and causing most audience members to back up a step. But following the impact, Domino releases the man and takes a hop back to resume his fighting stance.

"Hmph." Ok, so that didn't work. Sometimes these nimble little bastards can be a real pain in the ass. "Alright. So you were able to get away from me this time too, that doesn't mean you can keep on doing it forever." Of course he doesn't /have/ to do if forever if he can do the kinds of things he's about to. When the grab is reached for Sergio tries to shift himself away, in order to better be able to knock the grip that he knows is coming loose, but is unable to move his arms to do it when his shoulders are actually grabbed, Domino's grip just too damn strong.

And then the pain comes. He's smashed into the ground, and has the crap squeezed out of him. If it were only this Sergio might be alright, but the fact of the matter is that suddenly he's shot back into the air with the wrestler, spun up so fast that the world would be a blur even if he /wasn't/ drunk, and then crushed once more into the ground. "AUGH!"

He's finally let go, and it takes him a pretty damn long time to get up from that one, his face covered with both blood and little tiny pieces of gravel used in making the sidewalk. And larger pieces from where he tore the sidewalk up earlier! "G-gah... jesus, I forgot how much that hurt. Son of a bitch!" He shakes his head out, and then grins good-naturedly. "But now it's your turn." If the power he'd summoned up for his Whitewater attacks could be felt at all, this time would be like an earthquake in the mind. It builds and builds... and then releases. Suddenly two gigantic waves form, one behind Sergio, and one behind Drake, both of them heading directly towards each other, rushing each other down and heading towards a cataclysmic intersection. The one behind Sergio scoops him up and rushes him forward towards the wrestler, and if Drake's not careful? Such will be his fate as well.

Oh, -HELL-. Domino remembers this technique. Screw that, he remembers this -sensation-. The last time he saw this, he did something -incredibly- stupid: he ran right into the thing to attack Sergio. He remembers why he did it, too. It was out of reckless desperation. But seeing the same situation again... it's hard to not fight off a feeling of impending doom. There are very, very few reasonable openings for operations here that he can see. But despite this fact, Domino swallows back the approaching feeling of dread and begins to focus and concentrate.

The waves then come in, and Domino's fists clench tightly. This guy's chi is outrageous. Simply being in the presence of this massive demonstration has him focusing on his own.

A shimmering aura of white encases his hands. Not an unusual sight for those who know Domino or his fighting style... but it flows from his hands to his legs. The wrestler maintains his concentration and focus... and takes a crazy risk.

The nearby wall of a building is used for a ramp of sorts. Domino leaps against it and dashes along its surface, only to backflip from that and land... atop the wave coursing towards Sergio. Domino's white energy flow apparently supports his weight on what otherwise would engulf him, riding it akin to his opponent with a wild look in his eyes. At the last moment before the waves impact, the wrestler lunges from that wave towards Sergio, heart racing, aiming to catch him clean off his wave to bring him down to the ground level again - in a hard backbreaker, followed by backbreaking stretch.

Okay, what the hell. Seriously! How is Sergio supposed to lay the ultimate smackdown upon his opponents when they're able to just move right goddamn through his most powerful technique? The guy /literally/ surfs on his wave of doom! Well, there's very little Sergio can do about it now that the wrestler's gone and done it. So attempting to crush him with his crazy powerful chi attack of death is over with.

Up next: Making him pay for it! Sergio rightly is torn out of his wall of water, and then pulled right down to the ground. The beginnings of the backbreaker are made- and then things go horribly wrong for Drake.

The Italian somehow slips out of his grip and slides around him, wrapping his arm around his neck for a nasty headlock, choking him for a few moments before putting his hand against the small of his back and blasting him away with a burst of water. "Not going to humiliate me that easily!"

Domino attempts to maintain the hold until Sergio taps out.. but the man is pretty darn powerful. He gets out and locks on the chokehold, getting a surprised 'Grrk!' from the wrestler. Domino struggles against the hold, but really fails to break free in time. The blast of water chi sends him smashing to the ground a few feet away.

Domino first rises to his elbows, then slowly collects himself up to his feet again. "Augh... ow..." Despite his 'words', he assumes his stance again. He dashes forth.. only to suddenly drop to the ground, legs scissoring out in hopes of catching Sergio's to bring him facedown to the ground as well. And if successful, his legs maintain their hold and he curls over to apply a leg-locked version of the boston crab, trying to twist his opponent's legs backwards behind him.. which pretty much leaves Domino hand-standing.

Sergio's hand shoots into the air suddenly as Drake comes at him, a stream of water suddenly shooting straight up in front of his feet, trying to blast Drake skyward as he attempts to snatch him with his legs. Only the guy drops low, and the blast is over with down there by the time he slides in. Sergio is caught by the quick attack, and is once again brought crashing down. "Ack!"

The leg lock... ok, it's just too much. "Ahhh, fuck it! That's it, I'm done!" He gives Drake a stupidly large grin, for just having lost. "You go screwin' up my legs too much, how am I supposed to show the ladies how to work it on the dancefloor!"

And when Sergio yells that he's finished, the match is called a close, with Domino announced as the victor.

Domino, of course, releases the leg-lock and falls back to a seated position, panting softly. Match over, the sociable Light Side is donned again. It's his gimmick every bit as much as a fighting discipline he has. Anyway, the shift is evidenced with a bright smile. "Oh yeah, point there," he muses along with Sergio's assertion. "I've.. never seen anyone with chi like yours. I only know of one other person with stronger chi than that. Dagg, man."

But then Domino is pushing himself up to his feet. He turns to face the audience, and he gives them a bright, passionate smile, both fists lifted in the air. Upon spying one of the cameras, he quickly gives it his trademark look: a casual poise, left hand on hip, right hand whisking through his bangs, and a roguish smile. He's a model. He can't resist that sort've thing.
