Ayame - Operation - Not on Duty

Description: Objective: Trouble. Obstacle: An interpol agent. Alias: Ayame Sasaki. Summary: Jiro enters the Casino 7 in search of information for interpol. What he doesn't expect is an aggressive left over employee of the establishment that decides to make his visit 'interesting'.

The Casino is dead quiet. The large structure was sealed off after one of the sides suffered major damage from an armored vehicle smashing into it from off the streets. Guards beaten soundly, explosions from a mounted grenade launcher... the entire facility shut down in the wake of the disaster. The cover story is that a truck lost control and slammed into the side of the building. In the meantime, the entire place is shut down.

Considering it's massive size, it seems earily quiet now. Slot machines, normally noise factories incarnate, sit silently in rows upon rows. Green felt card tables sit empty, some with the cards and chips still sitting on their surfaces from the last hands dealt before the disaster struck.

Most of the lights are out but for a few automatic 'exit' signs along the walls and a few other odds and ends security lights that are always on no matter what. No construction work is being done as it is a weekend and union rules guarentee those workers their time off... Thus it is that the side of the building that was busted in is covered with a lot of blue tarps and yellow police tape and little more. It's possible looters have been within the casino, but... on the whole even the neighborhood riffraff stays away from the towering structure. It had a certain 'reputation'... something about a monster in the basement and human experimentation...

The recent incidents of the attack of the Casino in Metro City has gotten a bit of notice by INTERPOL. The reputation and rumors have been discovered and there was a huge debate. Because there was the need to investigate, they sent the only fighter that they could afford to send out, Inspector Kasagi. However, he was not alone for this.
This is not something that a person should investigate alone. Entering the facility, as empty as it is, along with Jiro are two other agents. Currently, the three of them are more likely wearing SWAT gear than anything. The two have their guns held out by them while Jiro has his guard up.
"Remember. Investigate and report. Any threat, incapitate. We are to discover what is going on here."
"Gotcha." responds Jiro, who looks ahead as they travel through the eeriely quiet casino.
One of the agents look back, "...This place is spooky." However, Jiro grunts in response.

Ayame is, it seems, out of a job. Her original boss, Elle, skipped the country months ago and hasn't been heard of since. Her replacement, the devilish creature known as Marise, was last seen a pile of smoldering flesh about 10 floors underground from the entry lobby of the Casino. But that doesn't mean she's out of an /income/. Now and then she stops by the building, using her security card that still works on all the doors that matter, and helps herself to some of the odds and ends, money, cash, and so forth, to finance her life for now. Until the Casino re-opens, her only other source of income is her weekly appearances in Howard's fighting enterprise, SNF.

On one of her visits, the girl becomes aware of others within the structure. Hn. Deciding to investigate, the girl moves stealthily through the shadows. If it's just some looters, she'll deal with them and chase them off. This is /her/ looting ground, after all, and anyone that thinks otherwise is going to get a beating!

Once she gets close, however, she overhears Jiro reminding the other two of their instructions. Watching them around the corner with the aid of a pocket mirror, the girl counts three. But they're not looters. Just law. The girl should let them be. They're just doing their jobs. Investigating this mess. But...

Digging her hand into her pouch at her side, she pulls out a small black disk that she plants against the wall at the corner she's at before slipping off. Navigating the hallways around the centeral lobby she comes to another portal into the front area where Jiro and his teammates are. Mentally counting down in her head, she waits for it... Finally, thirty seconds later, the disk she left affixed to the wall emits a small, soft noise, sounding like someone shuffling around over that way. At the same time Ayame softly clears her throat, creating the illusion of multiple people present within the darkend room, lurking in the shadows.

Finally, a plastic poker chip is flicked with her thumb to bounce off the wall of a third hallway. Maybe there's three someone's watching the team of investigators?

It is supposed to be a quiet investigation. It is all going smoothly, so far. But tha smoothness comes to an end.
The Interpol agents are busy walking silently alng the casino grounds, looking around while dealing with the investigation as to what really happened and what is -beyond- the halls.
"Remember Jiro, try not to do anything rash. Remember that our primary --"
"--Yes, I bloody get it." grumbles Jiro. The young Interpol agent rolls his eyes, then he snorts. But it is soon that the echo of the shuffling catches the agents off-guard. The two agents hold out their guns while shifting about.
Jiro, for the matter, is just keeping guard, reaching to his side to pull out a knife. When the plastic poker chip bounces off of the hallway, Jiro hisses out. "Shit, someone knows we're here!"
"Stay on guard! Jiro, stay with the group."
"Don't worry!" Jiro grumbles, "I swear, I feel like I'm being babysitted."

Ayame grins faintly, like a viper in the darkness, as she notices she's gotten a rise out of the three agents. She really should just leave them be, let them go on about their business - slip off and leave them wondering if they're being watched the rest of the time they're here. But Ayame can't help herself. Anything to give law enforcement a rough time, in her book. Besides, she might be able to find out what all they have on Blackjack, the casino events, and who was tied to it if she plays her cards right.

Slipping back into the shadows, Ayame navigates her way in the darkness with the greatest of ease. Creeping around one of the side hallways, the girl slips behind one of the administrative counters. Her hand slides back into her pouch as she watches the trio head deeper into the large, quiet rooms, pulling out a small, black cylinder that she pops the top off of and chucks toward the feet of the interpol agents.

The canister rolls to a stop near Jiro and company, coming to rest on the carpet... And then it explodes into a thick, obscurring cloud of smoke, intending to block of their already restricted visibility for a moment. A split second later, the girl is zipping in through the cloud, her target one of Jiro's fellow agents, as she draws a short metal bar from her pouch and attempts to literally sap one of them right in the back of the head in an attempt to knock the poor guy out cold.

Speedy, swift, and an expert when it comes to targeting points of vulnerabilities on her victims, the ruthless girl hopes to have one of the trio eliminated before they even know what hit them!

They are watched. The men know that. That is why they have to act with great awareness about them. While the surroundings have the men paranoid, being in an unknown territory, they have to continue. This is an investigation mission, besides, they are trained men who can handle the situation.
But as they make it to the larger rooms, the three look left and then right. All of them nod towards each other, then they proceed along the room.
...Until the canister stops near the company.
"What the...?" asks Jiro, before it explodes into the thick, obscuring mists.
"Everyone, keep q---eghnk!" That man doesn't even get a chance to even finish his statement as he gets caught blind-sided at the back of the head with the metal bar.
....Jiro looks back at his partner and then towards the obscuring mist, seeing a faint shadow. Knowing his other partner is beside him, Jiro takes the chance of quickly throwing that knife out towards the ankle of the shadowy figure.

The figure has too much of a head start and isn't staying in place. The instant the agent gets knocked out hard with the jarring blow to the back of his head, their assailant is already on the run, slipping through the cloud. A barely visible silhouette might be visible in the darkness - it looks like the stranger darted into one of the pitch black side hallways just as the smoke was beginning to clear. It would've been impossible to make out the build of the attacker other than that they weren't big and could move like the lightning. Other than that, there wouldn't be much to go on.

Out of immediate site, Ayame doubles around, slipping around a column to watch Jiro and the remaining agent from another angle, and to see if they take the risk of splitting up. She got rid of one of the trio out of the way by surprise ambush, not so easy to eliminate another, and she's learned her lesson when it comes to taking on groups. Too many variables to calculate when trying to handle more than one opponent - she doesn't quite have that much of an edge. Yet.

COMBATSYS: Ayame takes no action.

There is an annoyance marked on Jiro's face when he realizes that there was no sound of pain from the site that Jiro had struck. Infact, he might had hit the floor instead. This draws out a long-suffering sigh from the young man before he looks down at the fallen agent and the one nearby.
"Hey, stay near Jeff." instructs Jiro, who soon runs off.
"Jiro, wait!---Damnit!" The smoke clears, revealing for the other agent who is lying down near Jeff, before he activates his cellphone. "We got an agent down. Some people are watching us. Jiro rushed off ahead to investigate! I am near Agent Hardaway!"
Meanwhile, Jiro is running the big, black hallway. It's dark.... Very dark.
"...Tsch. Great." Jiro continues to walk along the pitch black hall, keeping his eyes peeled while anticipating something to come his way.

Peeking out from behind the column with her small mirror, Ayame watches as Jiro takes off down the hall she had darted into just as the fog was clearing. Perfect. Divide and conquor, as the saying goes, and Ayame is all about cheap tactics as long as it gets her what she wants. She has a few seconds before Jiro will come back around to find that the hallway he entered simply wraps right back to the lobby. A few seconds within which to act.

Stepping out from behind her hiding place, the girl aims her right arm toward the back of the agent speaking into his phone. Che. She would've preferred to stop that call from happening, but there's not much she could've done about it.

Strapped to her right arm is a small, mini-crossbow, one that she's aiming at the Interpol man... And then the trigger in her palm is pressed and a small bolt goes flying for the man's neck. The bolt itself would hurt, but it's the nerve agent on it that's going to be the real problem, likely to knock him unconcious in half a minute or less if she judges her target corrctly.

Running forward to get in near the two backup agents, Ayame slides to a stop near the two, crouching down to pat down Agent Hardaway, searching for a badge or something by which to identify who these guys are from. It leaves her back exposed to the direction Jiro would be coming out of, but it would be a mistake to think that the girl is inattentive. In fact, the searching bit might simply be an act...

Unfortunately, this is just like in the movies. This is the part where the rash agent gets ahead of himself and runs off to investigate further into the mess, leaving the other agent behind. Unfortunately, this is also where the agent is all alone to get attacked.
And it is true as she strikes the nerve agent right into the officer's neck. He is suddenly knocked unconscious, twitching violently as he does so. This leaves the young man all alone.
Of course, Jiro is coming back at the very moment, especially when he sees the girl patting down the officers that are currently unconscious. His first instinct tells him to bloody attack her. This is just like in the movies where it is either a MONSTER OR ZOMBIE WAITING TO BITE YOU! .... Or it is the culprit.
Jiro, following the procedures, roars out. "Halt! Put your hands in the air where I can see them! Stand up and turn around slowly! All in that order!"

No zombie here. Just an Ayame. The girl is expecting him, of course, having calculated about how long it'd take for someone to get through the all she lead Jiro into taking to seperate him from his partner. And now she has only him left to deal with. Rising slowly at the barked order, Ayame stands up and turns around, right hand reaching over to her left wrist, slipping beneath her wrist guard there, leaning her head to the side as she looks back toward the lone agent.

Well. She stood up, and turned around, though her hands don't seem to be raised like he ordered. That might be because the girl is withdrawing a small throwing knife from beneath that wrist guard. And it might be because while she's staring at Jiro, she's really calculating trajectories, angles of fire, and backup solutions. "Or else what?" she states back, her mouth shifting into a teethy grin.

In the limited light it might be hard to make out the gesture as she flicks her right hand to the side, sending one of the knives flying out and to the side, seemingly on a trajectory that poses no threat to Jiro at all. "I should probably be saying the same to you, given the situation. I am the one standing next to your partners, after all. Or is their well being not of particular importance to you?" she adds - idle banter to distract from the real threat, a small, glinting knife that ricochets off the wall back toward Jiro, aiming to stick the young man in the leg as a bit of a 'warning shot'!

COMBATSYS: Ayame successfully hits Jiro with Sudden Fling.

That is a good point. She does have his partners by her side. This is not a good thing, especially considering that she likely has some sort of weapon on her. That blade that was flicked out towards the strange direction earns a raised eyebrow, but he shrugs it off before he glares at Ayame.
"Tsch...."
What the...?
The sound of the blade comes abck, and Jiro looks low to raise his leg, but the blade strikes true to the leg. Piercing the clothing and the skin, trinkles of blood come from the leg before he hisses out. "...Why.. you....!"
There is a manifestation of chi in his hand as the fury in him roars into existance. He lunges forward and swings the arm out, allowing the formation of the chi to manifest as a giant blade at an arm's length shooting out towards Ayame.

Well, she seems to have gotten him riled up at least. All part of the plan. Ayame shrugs back at Jiro, mouth curled into a faint smile. "You really should stand down, I'd hate for this to be someone's final assignment. Would be tragic. The force needs all the good people it can get, right?" she smirks.

But it looks like in spite her warning shot, Jiro isn't taking the hint, opting instead to send giant blade of chi hurtling her way. The bright energy illuminates the dark hall, catching the girl off guard with its speed, sending Ayame sliding backward a few yards before coming to a stop. "Che, a fighter, eh?" she glares back at Jiro, her hand slipping down to her pouch, drawing the bar back out that she had used to knock out one of Jiro's teammates. Only now it doesn't stay a small bar as Ayame presses a button near it's center, causing the weapon to expand out into a full length, metal staff.

"If that's your best, let me just say you're in big trouble. Well, doesn't really change anything, it just makes it more intersting for me!" The girl decides to deal with Jiro with simple brute force, leaning forward into a charge, the metal polearm at her side. Drawing in close, she hops into a forward spin, aiming to slam Jiro's neck with the weapon before landing and jabbing one end of it into his stomach.

After the giant blade of chi whirls towards the girl to send her back a few yards, Jiro reaches for the knife jabbed into his leg. Hissing angrily, the young man pulls the knife out and he tosses it over to the side. He grimaces at the stinging feeling left from the blade. He grumbles under his breath, then he takes a few steps from Ayame.
"...Nope. Almost my weakest, actually."
When he witnesses that staff extending out, Jiro sneers once before he lunges towards her as she swings the staff towards his neck. Sadly for Ayame, she won't get a chance to even go for the second strike.
It is the first strike that Jiro comes up close, swinging the left hand out towards her staff before yanking it back. As he yanks the staff towards him, which is to pull Ayame towards him, Jiro forms a feral grin.
"SEI!"
Channeling the chi together, it is utilized to enhance him before he shoots forward to the left side, extending that fist right towards Ayame's stomach, twisting the fist while driving the direction to have her fly towards one of the nearest breakables that shouldn't be broken. Machines or chairs.

"DO!"

Her staff caught, Ayame begins to draw back, attemign to spin around to the other side of it in order to avoid getting tagged by the inevitable strike to come. But Jiro's fast enough to catch her before she moves, his chi laced fist crashing into the girl's stomach and sending her flying back, her back smashing against a slot machine, crushing its surface before she slips to the floor with a pained gasp.

Wincing, she rests her hand against her stomach, feeling vaguely sick from the power of the impact. Lucky hit, or just really good, she's not entirely sure... "Not bad," she grimaces back, slowly pulling herself back up to standing by using the bent slot machine handle for support.

Her hand at her stomach isn't just to try to assuage the pain from Jiro's powerful strike, however, as Ayame uses the opportunity to open the clasp of one of her multiple belts, slipping it off to reveal it to be a coiled up, yard and a half long leather whip.

"I wouldn't waste my time with you, but-" She sprints forward a second time, looking to close the distance between them, hopping into a spin much like last time, as if intending to catch Jiro with that long staff in the neck. Try and try again, right? But the staff is short, it won't reach him as Ayame's feet touch back down, "I've got some questions I want answered!" she finishes, coming around out of the spin, lashing out with that whip, aiming to lash it around Jiro's neck and pull the young man forward, hopefully to the ground if possible. If she succeeds, the girl will simply drop down onto his back and attempt to cinch the 'noose' even tighter.

There is a large degree of satisfaction at bowling the woman over. Jiro is walking right towards her, narrowing his eyes as he tries to close the distance. In actuality, however, Jiro is trying to stand near his fallen comrades as he reaches for the cellphone.
He doesn't get the chance as the woman gets up and sprints towards him once more. While she attempts to catch him with the 'staff', Jiro stands until he sees the rope. Not in the mood to be gorrated like with Rolento, Jiro opt to move out of the bloody way.
He is rolling towards the side to escape the rope's trajectory, then he spins to face her, before he leaps towards the girl while she is coming down. He is lunging towards her, reaching for her shoulder while he draws his right knee out towards her stomach. "I have some questions that YOU will answer as well!"

The feint and the real attack both sail over Jiro's head, but Ayame doesn't land flat footed. Constantly in motion, she lets the momentum of the whip flail carry her into another spin before slamming her foot down and hopping backward, giving her a precious few feet of space between her and Jiro. It pays off remarkably well as the young man gets a grip on her shoulders and brings his knee up, as it buys her just enough time to drop her whip and grip her staff with both hands, slipping it in the way of his strike just in time to absorb the worst of it. The impact provokes a faint grunt from the girl but she isn't going to let the proximity go to waist.

Not bothering to pry her way free, the girl slams her hand forward from behind her staff, attemtping to get her palm against the agent's chest, "So who're you trespassors with, anyway? Whoever it is, you've got a horrible way with people. Did you skip your public relations seminar this month?" comes the question - right before she unleashes a point blank blast of crimson chi in the shape of an exploding fount of energy. That's one way to try and get him to let go!

It was not as much as a success that Jiro hoped for. The knee finds itself feeling the staff's brunt in, which causes him to snarl bitterly before both land on the ground.
While keeping a hold on her, Jiro grumbles as he hisses out, "...Don't worry about it." As for public relations, "Never listened to them anyway." As the point blank blast of chi erupts along his form, the eyes widen as his frame is consumed by the entire wave of light that illuminates his form. However...
...Jiro remains strong, holding onto her as he struggles to press forward. Gritting his teeth, Jiro is stepping forward with a struggle. As his body is being repelled by the chi, Jiro is pushing himself closer to her.
...Until his hands reach out to strangle Ayame while attempting to lift her up. Feral grin. "....Does Wayne Brady have to choke a bitch?" Should the initial part of the maneuver be successful, Jiro will then attempt to lift her up, then force her down on her back with a powerbomb. Granted, the chi enhancement of the powerbomb would be a powerful explosion behind her.

She tries to blast him away, but her chi only manages to barely budge the young agent, leaving Ayame in a precarious position, unable to get space between her and him in order to defend herself. His hands flare to life with chi as Ayame tries to pull away to no avail. It gets a lot harder once she's hefted up off her feet, limbs dangling as she feels her strength slipping rapidly.

"You're a real charmer," she spits out, right hand releasing her staff, slipping down to the hem of her skirt where she keeps a small, poison laced needle just for situations like this. Slipping the small, sharp object into her fingers, she's just about to stab it into Jiro's arm. But he's quick to slam her back down to the ground in an small explosion of chi.

Landing in a heap on the ground, the girl exhales, the wind knocked out of her, leaving her bereft of anything else clever or unclever to rattle off as she kicks back with her feet, pushing up into a low crouch, her staff held in front of her at a defensive angle. A small whirl of chi builds up at the base of her feet, a warning that attacking again might very well be a bad idea.

"Of course." Jiro snaps at Ayame, sneering once more before he tightens his fists once more. At this point, Jiro is sweating, feeling his body already becoming pressured and a bit labored as he feels the wind slipping from him as he realizes that he spent a lot of energy as it was. Sweat forming and running over his head, Jiro growls and he shifts his stance about, extending his arms out before he finally starts to sprint towards Ayame once more.
While that whirl of chi builds up at the base of her feet, Jiro sprints faster, before he shoots himself forward in a dash with the left leg. He immediately launches the right foot into the air, aiming to smack across Ayame as the funneling blaze roars in existance. The blaze becomes a scarlet wall to ensnare the girl, then he launches up to form a scarlet lance. As the red lance manifests, he thrusts it forward, having it pierce through the wall and straigt towards Ayame.

If the swirling chi at Ayame's feet wasn't warning enough, perhaps the three blades that extend from the end of her staff are. Sliding into place at ninety degree angles from each other, forming a small bladed cross at the end, the girl simply remains half crouching as Jiro attempts to press the assault.

But the moment he gets in close, she snaps into action, slamming the weapon upward, up under Jiro's right knee as he takes to the air, hooking him with the end of the staff before twisting forward and behind him, letting him tumble or fall out of the jump however he pleases... Of course that leaves her with an easy target, Ayame stabbing forward with her staff as a fiery red aura bursts to life along its surface.

A quick stab toward his back is followed up by the girl skipping forward in a half hop, pulling the staff back and spinning it around again for a follow up slam, a discharge of that violent, angry chi accompanying the strike. A boot to his side is to send him stumbling and put him in prime striking range for the final spinning, two handed smash of the weapon intended to drive the agent over into the wall of the lobby.

Coming out of that final spin with a gasp, the chi itself flickers out, like fire denied its fuel, the girl ending in a half crouch, one leg in front of the other, the pole arm resting against her shoulder. A long exhale at the energy expended and then Ayame stands up straight, slipping the staff into an angled position in front of her with her left hand, the three small blades retracting into the end of it.

Her right hand, on the other hand, comes up to her neck to adjust her tie before slipping up to push her hair back over her ear. Perhaps she thinks that assault was the last the agent could take. "So you don't want to say who you're with. Nor have you shown me a badge or warrant. So I guess I'm going to have to just continue to consider you trespassing on private property."

Her right hand slips down to rest at her waist as she does her best to conceal the feeling of fatigue settling in. "And this place has always been very strict about trespassors, open for business or not." she finishes, her breath back under control, her mouth curled into a faint grin.

As the blades manifest along the staff, Jiro still presses into the assault. This, unfortunately, puts him in the bad position as she comes underneath the right knee, hooking him with the end of the staf. This forces him to tumble out of the jump with a spin. This is the preparation of a rough landing.
The stab in the back with the fiery red aura causes him to hunch over, grimacing in pain while the blade pierces deep and back out. His mouth gapes open in pain before the feral snarl echoes along his lips. But when she spins out that staff to smack the staff at his body, the sound of bones crunching snap in the air as his body is soaring along the air, driven over towards the wall of the lobby.
The impact with the wall is devastating, as the explosive sound echoes in the air, leaving cracks and spiderwebs worth of cracks forming from where Jiro had been imprinted.
As she goes on, Jiro is slowly peeling himself off of the wall, looking rather irritated. The sound of bones cracking are head as Jiro twists his neck and his arms, working the kinks out of the joints as he starts stomping towards her direction.
It is a slow paced stomp as well. First off, Jiro is reaching over towards his pocket, revealing the wallet that has his ID. This identification card marks him off as an agent of Interpol. Along that same hand is a documented warrant.
Due to the recent incidents and rumors, Interpol has sanctioned a search and investigation sweep all over the facility.
...Next up?
Jiro is winding the fist back, the scarlet blaze erupting along his hand before he launches the right arm up across her chin to launch her into the air.

Jiro pulls out a badge. And a warrant. And Ayame forces a quick grin, not looking sheepish in the slightest. "Oh. Huh. Fancy that. Guess you were here legally. I really wish someone had called ahead about that." she continues, right hand coming up from her hip to tap against her cheek, her left hand busy holding her staff in place.

But the agent isn't going to be placated, it appears, deciding to take out self-proclaimed 'security guard' with another punishing, chi-laced fist. As if the first one he crushed her stomach with early enough wasn't bad enough! But for all her posturing, Ayame isn't idle, and she isn't slow. Now that she's not being held down, slamed, checked by Jiro's strong holds, she's very quick on her feet.

The young man comes charging at her, aiming a punishing uppercut toward the girl, but that bedamned staff is in the way once again, this time glancing off Jiro's arm with just enough force to send the punch up short. The staff arcs up and out to the side, gripped only with Ayame's left hand. Her right hand, however, whips up behind her head, snagging a hold of the black ribbon tied into the bow that adorned her hair.

Drawing the ribbon out, Ayame darts forward, attempting to wrap it around Jiro's neck as she slides in around him, gripping both ends with her right hand if she manages to snag him. Her left hand, however, brings her staff back in and attempts to slide it in beneath one of Jiro's arms, twisting it to the side to yank his elbow back behind him harshly while her left hand aims to keep the ribbon dangerously taut around his neck.

The entire sequence a blur, the time to react will be precious thin. A blink later and Jiro might find him choked and armlocked rather painfully by the Asian teen.

That fist hits nothing but air, sad to say. That burning fist doesn't even get the chance to scorch the woman in front of him as he would had wanted to. The staff gets in the way of the fist as she uses it to draw up the arm to give her lee-way in moving from him and dart towards him.
But when that ribbon is coming forth towards his neck, however, Jiro has no intentions of being strangled with anything that involves rope or similar. Thank Rolento for that. He is ducking his head low from the rope tightening along him.
As she is attempting to position that staff out towards him, Jiro decides to quickly shoot his right elbow towards her gut, aiming to send her back from him, before he adds in the swing of the back knuckle towards her face.

COMBATSYS: Jiro successfully hits Ayame with Medium Punch.

The ribbon fails to secure it's hold, leaving Ayame extended as she grasps at air. Jiro's elbow finds an easy opening, catching the girl in the stomach, causing her to gasp as the wind is knocked out of her, bent forward over his strike, dropping the intended garrote all together.

Hand reaching up, she appears to intend to strike him one last time, but his backfist follow up catches her in the cheek for her effort, slamming the featherweight back hard such that she slams against the wall with a grunt. The staff gets dropped to the floor as well where it lands with a rattle as Ayame tries to fix Jiro with her fading focus.

"Lucky hit," she mutters, gasping for breath as she rears back her right arm and takes two unsteady steps back toward the young man, slamming her right fist forward. But it isn't a punch he needs to watch out for but rather two foot long, narrow blade that shoots out from beneath the cloth wrapping over her right arm. Black, crackling chi courses over its surface as she tries to drive it into the young man with one last desperate stab, her strength waning fast.

COMBATSYS: Ayame can no longer fight.

That felt nice. That elbow on the gut? Yeah. It gave him a quick chance to get some distance from her. However, as she is lunging forward once more to charge at Jiro? Well, Jiro is awaiting for her attack to come, ready to repel her back with his own aura.
The stirring flames roar into life as the burning growl echos from his body. "Erggg.....!" His eyes flare as he expands his arms, ready to explode the energy until he's caught in the blade impaling him in the chest, hissing forth as he draws back from the piercing blade before he looks at Ayame. "Damn.... You are coming with me to the police station."
With that, Jiro is reaching for his cellphone to make a call, clutching onto his chest. Yet, he's ready to strike Ayame should she try to get up again.

The blade sinks in before Jiro draws back, removing the last bit of support Ayame has before she drops forward to her knees, the extended blade retracting into its holster attached to her arm. Catching herself with her hands, the girl gasps for breath, eyes closed as her hair hangs down around her face.

"Che," she grunts, knowing full well she lacks the strength to escape the young man, even with the injuries he sustained. Looks like interpol has tougher agents in it than she originally accounted for. The young man pulls out his cell phone to make a call and Ayame leans back, sinking into a seated position on the floor.

"You can if you want, but you're just going to get laughed at." the girl states as she pushes herself back to lean against the wall. Her hand reaches out for her staff, but she makes no aggressive movements as she pulls it over toward her, pressing a button in the center that collapses it back down to a six-foot long tube that she tucks away in a pouch on her belt if not prevented from doing so.

"I'm security here." From a side pocket on the pouch the girl withdraws a small white badge and flings it at the floor at Jiro's feet. "It's both my legal right and my responsibility to respond to trespassors with non-lethal force." she continues. The badge has Ayame's photo on it, and identifies her as an employee of the Capital 7 Casino. "Neither you nor your partners are dead, therefore my force was non-lethal, therefore I was well within my rights."

She remains seated, staring up at Jiro, folding her arms over her chest, drawing her knees up to rest her chin atop them. "You chose not to identify yourself nor show me a badge or warrant until just now, and then decided to attack me anyway /after/ showing me your documentation, leaving me forced to simply try to defend myself to the best of abilities against excessive force. I would have otherwise been happy to cooperate once you proved you were here legitimately but you pressed the attack anyway."

The girl exhales a long sigh, "This entire lobby is filmed across several different security cameras. If you want to drag me to the police station, you're going to have to have this footage brought up in court." She rests her chin against her knees, half closing her eyes from exhaustion. "I know I was within my rights. What about you?"

The girl is quiet for a moment, "Alternatively," she continues, "You could just tell me what you came here to find out, and I could just tell you, and we can call it even. Hm?"

"Nah, they won't laugh." Jiro mentions. One, Metro City police knows him. They worked with him. All of the members that worked with him are there. Okay, so maybe they'll laugh, but Jiro will start to look at the woman as she retracts the staff back to the small size.
He glances at the badge as she holds it out towards him, then he narrows them. "Alright." He grunts for a few moments. Damnit. He would had been happy putting her through a wall or two. This is perhaps WHY they had the two agents 'babysitting Jiro'. Good job of that, guys.
Jiro grumbles under his breath as she presents him the case of that he is -totally- screwed. Damn... legal crap! This is perhaps why Hotaru warned him that he's an officer now and that he has to act as the law.
"...Fine."
He mutters, "Well, we came here to investigate what really happened here. Interpol doesn't buy it. We heard rumors of experimentations going on here and that this establishment is more than what it seems."

Ayame response to Jiro's agreement with the most charming smile she can muster in spite being worked over as she is. At least he didn't punch her in the face as much as most people seem to enjoy. Staying seated, Ayame does sit up straighter as Jiro drops the question on her. So, Interpol is curious now, hn? That certainly puts the future of the establishment in jeopardy...

"Hm, well..." the girl begins, her voice neutral as she weighs the question for a long moment. "I've heard rumors to that effect. There's a section of the casino where almost no one is allowed to go. Even staff like me. My badge won't get you through the doors there. I've heard a lot of things about it... An illegal fighting ring in the basement... a giant maze of tunnels and hidden passages... I dunno, creepy stuff."

She falls quiet for a moment, pondering what else to give him. "Look, uh, sorry about your buddies over there. That guy I darted... he'll probably wake up in a few, perfectly fine. Your other friend might have a headache," she admits, resting her hand behind her head, her expression suddenly very sheepish.

"Tell you what. You can keep that badge. It won't get you into the most secure areas of the building, but it /will/ open some doors for you. If you get in far enough you might find another way past the barricades. Or, hell, with how you punch, maybe you can just make a way." she grunts with a rueful shake of her head as she rubs her cheek tenderly.

"I've heard a lot of weird things about this place. If half of them are true, you're gonna want to check it out. Just be careful. I'd, uh, take more than just you three down there. Just in case."

There is a glance towards Ayame as she makes mention of the illegal fighting and other sorts going on. Hrm. This is very interesting to hear. With the illegal fighting and the giant mazes of tunnels and such, Jiro rubs his forehead. "Great. I'll have to forward this to the higher-ups then."
As she mentions about his partners, Jiro shrugs, "...It's cool. They were babysitting me anyway." That would had been a good thing to keep them awake, but alas. Jiro quirks an eyebrow at the mention, then he nods. "Right. I'll file the report over towards the higher-ups and see if I can get clearance in investigating further." He pauses for a few moments, then he walks over to heft the two fallen men up.
"Uhh... yeah." He looks sheepish, "Sorry for the rampaging. Figured you were one of the folks trying to keep us from seeing what was REALLY going on."

Ayame remains seated as Jiro speaks, head leaning to the side as she seems to give the new agent her complete attention. As he apologizes, she simply shrugs, "Eh, nothing to apologize for. I guess we were both just a little eager to scrap? Makes the day go faster when there's action for a change. Guarding a closed casino is pretty boring." she finishes with a grin, pushing herself back up slowly with the help of the wall behind her, her hand resting against her stomach.

"I better get back to patrolling around. Good luck with your investigation, inspector. Guess we're on the same side after all. Though if your investigation turns up anything, I suppose I'll have to look for a gig elsewhere." She grins a little before shrugging. Her tone suggests sincerity as the girl lifts her right hand, turns her back, and waves over her shoulder as she heads on down a darkened hall to slip out of sight.

There is something about this all that seems... too odd. Call it a bad feeling, but there isn't much that Jiro can do at this point. He will have to give out an initial report. ... Likely leaving out that he still sackbeat the person after presenting the badge. Felt good, but would get chewed out for that.
Jiro carries off his two babysitters, rolling his eyes, "...Well, if Interpol needs to assign me babysitters, they need to present some that don't suck." He frowns, "...I wonder what the hell is going on here between this and Mad Gear."
