Description: Having failed to meet with Iincyo the first time, Yurika is successful the next time around. Finding herself impressed with the Chairperson of Taiyo, the musician asks for her participation as a judge for Miss Teen Southtown.
It had taken some time.. But finally Yurika Kirishima thinks she had come up with a plan that would do two things: Serve as some use for her brother, and decrease some of the negative rumors that go about Seijyun High School. It was ingenius, really, but she would have to iron out some things before bringing the plan into action.
Yurika spends a lot of time at Seijyun ground, and today is no exception. But it's been a bit of a rocky week, including a bit of a verbal scuffle with the newest 'student' Sakura, and an even more personal scuffle with Roberto Miura. But she's tried to keep a good mood, after all the sun was shining, and the sakura petals were flourishing with spring life, bringing even more beauty to the school.
She decided it'd be good to discuss things with Ingrid; she's probably seen how many competitions have been organized in her time. It'd also be good to speak with Taiyo's representative to make sure she can gather other-school interest. A letter of invitation was sent to Iincyo then, to meet the girl on school grounds at this very time; and Ingrid actually gets no less as to be expected. To meet at the bench near the entrance where she currently sits with, as always, a cup of tea to tide her over. There's no book in hand this time, for some reason.
Meeting outside does seem a little.. unprofessional, doesn't it? But who can be bothered to be cooped up in an office on a day like this?
The letter had been received, and the time and place had been penciled in and circled. Thrice. It was important to meet with the students from other schools as well. Especially if it might be concerns and other things. So when Yurika's letter came to meet her in the front of Seijyun High, Chairperson came dressed to impress.
Which means for the first time in so long, Iincyo is not in her Taiyo shirt and small black gym shorts, but a sky blue school jacket with a sky blue skirt as well, a white shirt underneath, of dress flavor, black leggings, and a rather large red bow at about her neck, covering most of the white shirt. The headband is also missing.
Carrying a clipboard, however, proves she does keep a few things on her at all times, and as she approaches Seijyun.. the girl slides into the gates, trees, walls, and the rather well taken care of Seijyun campus surrounds her.. but she came here on business, (school business), not for enjoyment!
Bowing to Yurika as she sits near the entrance, Iincyo stands straight and tall. "Hello Yurika. It's a nice day.. but I'm sure there's more pressing things to talk about.. so if you don't mind me asking. What have you called me here for?"
Since this is a school function, Ingrid has decided to wear the school uniform today. It is perhaps not as nice as what she normally wears, but it should at least be a good show of school spirit and solidarity. And that is likely exactly what's needed right now. Though she normally cuts out of school as soon as her singular class is finished she stuck around today. And really, she should probably do that more often. She's mainly interested in meeting new and interesting people, and there are plenty of them right here at this school. Except they're usually in class...
The young woman arrives while exiting the main school building, a simple smile set upon her face. Quickly she's able to find Yurika now that the time for the meeting has arrived, and she walks over to the elegantly dressed teenager and smiles. "Good afternoon, President. I trust that you are well?" She then sets her eyes upon Iincyo whom she hasn't met. She curtsies to the Taiyo council member. "And good afternoon to you as well. I'm Ingrid Holmann, pleased to meet you."
Yurika is.. Quite impressed by what she sees. For a school that has such loose reigns on what is or isn't appropriate for campus attire, it is a very impressive ensamble in the musician's eyes, in what Iincyo presents herself in. Perhaps she needs to be less harsh on her judgement when it comes to Taiyo students.
The girl sets her things to the side and returns the bow with one of her own, and of course a pleasent, if not a bit mysterious, smile. And then Ingrid arrives not long after and her eyes widen just a touch to her schoolmates attire. It's true, it's not as gorgeous an ensamble and yet Yurika can't help but greatly appreciate it. "Good day, Ingrid," she replies with just a slight pinkening of her cheeks. "I am quite well, thank you. I thought you may be interested in today's company.. As you know, most schools have an organized student council, and our company today just so happens to be part of such a group.."
She'll leave Iincyo to introduce herself of course. And speaking of, the saikyo fighter is addressed then. "Ah well, I understand that you're responsible for coordinating events amongst other things. I realize this is a bit selfish of me, but I would like to be brief on the 'business' side of things.. As I don't believe we've ever truely met."
"I am Yurika Kirishima, Student Council President; and Miss Holmann is the Council secretary. The request is a simple one, I am interested in giving a little test of spirit between school females and I'd like to do this by holding a pageant of sorts. I call the event 'Miss Teen Southtown'. It isn't much unlike Miss America."
Iincyo bows to Ingrid as she arrives, smiling. "It's a pleasure to meet you as well Ingrid. You may call me Iincyo." Which is Chairperson.. of course they'd know! But it's sort of a weird name, isn't it? Clearly it can't REALLY be the real name!
Perhaps, however, Iincyo just happens to be one of a few.. but either way, the Chairperson of Taiyo High is mainly here to help others.. and not simply herself. "I'm glad I could be a part of this meeting.. and right. I'm the head of the Student Council at Taiyo, or, the Chairperson... so any concerns you have would be appreciated in being expressed." The girl holds the clipboard close, smiling.
And then being addressed, Iincyo listens, standing straight up still near the bench.. leaning, or sitting, would just not show her attention. "That is true... and that isn't a problem at all. Whatever you prefer, Miss ... Ah. Yurika." She bows to Yurika as she introduces herself. She corrects herself with her name, as well!. Brief on the business. Right! "Student Council President as well.. and the Secretary. Such a nice meeting. "A little test of school spirit.. a beauty pageant?" The council head taps her chin gently, thinking, looking on to Yurika. "That could work.. especially with the coming of spring. Such weather would be perfect.. and the timing will help to get the lull of the colder months, as well as bring up spirit at the tail end of the school year.. I think it would be perfect." Chairperson states, arms clasping the clipboard to her body. "There would be much that needs to be taken care of .. but I believe that comes after everything is decided."
The blonde Norwegian listens as the other two young woman speak, taking in what they have to say and nodding along. A beauty pageant, is it? Hmm... So Yurika is seeking help from the leader of the Taiyo student council in order to get help organizing and arranging such a thing. If nothing else can be said of Yurika Kirishima, it's that she knows well how to use those around her. An admirable quality in a leader.
The teenager waits until the conversation has a slight lull, and then pipes up. "If you wish to call it Miss Teen Southtown, I believe you should invite allow from other schools as well. Otherwise perhaps Miss Seijyun would be more appropriate. We wouldn't want girls from other schools to get bent out of shape by not being able to participate in something that seems to include the entire city. After all, you wouldn't want them showing up uninvited." Which could mean crashing the party and wrecking the joint.
Her head tilts to the side somewhat, "I also believe that if a beauty contest is to be held, you should make sure to stress that our fine young ladies here at Seijyun are expected to show a certain level of... refinement." Some might wish to show up in something positively scandalous, which while good for their odds of winning might be a disservice to the school itself.
That was what Yurika was looking for. She could have continued her sentance further, but she wanted to see Iincyo's initial reaction. It seems to be a positive one; and yet she still can't shake of the bit of uncertainty that non Seijyun students would really be willing to participate in such a thing. And yet Iincyo manages to find a way to quell the concern quite well by raising the ideas very good points; after a winter like this one who wouldn't want to have a bit of fun?
Ingrid brings up good points as well of course. In the long run, it would benefit her to get other schools involved. It'd do her no good to be afraid of being laughed at considering her position. "That is true, Ingrid.. Very well, the I will make plans to extend invitations to neighboring schools as well." The moment 'scandal' hits her ears, the first name that comes to mind is 'Pas', and a bit of a frown forms on her features. "It would be good to solidify the rules as well, yes.. Thus far I imagined that four tests would be brought forth. A test of talent, a test of combative skill, and of course fashion and speech."
Yurika then looks to Iincyo, "Miss Chairperson, I would really appreciate your help in organizing an event such at this. I will likely need some judges, so if either of you weren't looking forward to actually participating in the pageant itself.."
Hmm. A good point from Ingrid, it seems. Of course there should be a dress code.. as well as one for the swimsuit. There needs to be a limit on what skills must be .. and fighting, of course, should not be the focus. Just one. It would be a shame to leave it out.
Listening, Iincyo scrawls a few things down onto the clipboard, holding it in one arm while her hand busily writes. "Hmm.. Dress code.. four tests of different things.. spreading a school wide stage." Gedo is circled and put down 'separate? Rowdy? Daigo - Contact', and circled about Daigo.
Finishing it, she looks up again. "That would be the most beneficial to making sure it goes as planned." Certainly something maaaay just go awry, but plans will be made. Circle Batsu->Security.
As Yurika looks to her, Chairperson nods. "It would be my pleasure. Honestly, I haven't helped organize something in quite a bit.. and I feel I've been a bit .. lax in my positions." Well, there was that Fair! .. And it got nuked when she went away for a moment. Stupid Rolento. Grinning, Iincyo nods. "I would prefer to judge instead of participate.. I would rather encourage the others to be involved than myself... and I just couldn't get up there." She adds, blushing a bit, red cheeks.
Ahem. "But otherwise.. it seems quite a solid idea, Yurika. I would love to help."
Ingrid nods her head to Yurika, "Yes, I think that those four 'tests' are an excellent idea. Enough, at least, to show that it isn't simply a popularity contest, nor a simple matter of who looks better than one another." But at the same time there's no mention of adding things like a knowledge contest to the mix- that simply wouldn't be the point of a show like this one.
"I'm glad you both agree, then." She listens carefully to what the other two students have to say, and finds herself having a hard time not trying to peek at Iincyo's clipboard, curious as to what she's writing down. When Yurika brings up the idea of being a judge she tilts her head slightly, "Hmm... I think that would be very agreeable, Yurika. Thank you for the opportunity." She nods to them both, "This does seem like an excellent opportunity to get people more involved with their schools, and perhaps also a way to help bring them closer together. There does seem to be a bit of antipathy towards one another, even above a normal intracity rivalry. Perhaps this could do something to mend that."
Yurika hmmns as she looks to Ingrid. When the point of 'bring them closer togeather' is said, Ingrid may very well sense a tinge of .. Something. Perhaps tension. On the outside, however, it's all pleasent smiles, and not a hint of curiosity is given toward Iincyo's writing. She instead thinks of it as an admirable trait and perhaps one she should pick up herself. "Very well then, thank you two very very much for your cooperation. I believe it's safe to say at this point we can lay this subject to rest for another day." She also admires iincyo's modesty. "It seems I've taken up more time than I had expected to however.. Perhaps we could hold a more friendly get-togeather at another date as well. It would be a good idea to get to know each other better since it's likely we'll be co-operating more in the future."
The scratches are important. They make up what Iincyo is thinking, so she doesn't forget. But thinking through what Ingrid and Yurika are saying, she does come up with an idea. Something that will need to be addressed.
She would, unfortunately, need to bring up later the idea of adding a 'judge' as it were from more schools, one from each, perhaps, to quell ideas that 'well they won because X!'.
But it's ignored for the moment as Yurika calls an end to the meeting. "It was a good meeting, productive as it was." The Chairperson comments, smiling. "And it was more importantly.. nice meeting you two, Yurika, Ingrid." She bows once more, clasping that clipboard to her, pen at the top between binder. "I would enjoy that quite a bit." The Taiyo student head adds. "And would even look forwards to it! In the future then.. contact me any way you'd prefer.. but I won't take up anymore of your time for now, either.. thank you again." She comments, before turning.. but not before Ingrid is given time, of course.
"Very well. It certainly does seem like an excellent idea. If nothing else I think this meeting proves just how successful interschool projects can be. It seems to me we'd have been much disadvantaged if Miss Iincyo hadn't been here, wouldn't you say, Yurika?" Ingrid smiles to both of the other young women. "And it was lovely meeting you as well, Iincyo." The bow is met with a return curtsy once more. "I will certainly look forward to our future meetings, be they scholastic or simply friendly in nature."
It is a good point. One judge from each school would probably be needed. Yurika wouldn't make a fuss if that were brought up! A curtsey from herself is given to Iincyo, "Very well, thank you very much for your time. I'll look forward to seeing you again soon, Miss Chairperson."
The girl really was a very pleasent suprise; she really seemed to have it togeather, which she couldn't say about most other Taiyo students she'd met. And so with the schoolgirls to go their own routes, Yurika turns to Ingrid again, giving her companion a brighter smile. "I would most certainly agree. Well then, lets be on our way."
