Description: Kazuki meets Aranha, who is doing streetfights for cash. The Aikido Prodigy feels that the Dancing Spider is intentionally picking on weaker fighters to line his pockets, and decides to do something about it!
Aranha's at it again. The Dancing Spider is doing more fight hustling though nowadays he's not doing it to recruit team mates. Though thanks to Ayame challengers have been a lot more scarce. Some people have been staying away due to the false accusations she leveled against him. Some stayed away due to the fact that both fighters went nuts on each other and so challengers have been far and few between.
That's not to say that he hasn't been getting challengers. He has had a few Gedo students try their luck against him and to find out whether or not the stealing money rumor has been true only to find that Aranha has indeed handled their money and the fights honestly.
The most recent of the fighters falling prey to a well placed kick to the chin to finish the fight. Money changes hands and he takes a deep breath before wiping the sweat from his brow and waits for the next fighter to step in the circle with him.
Kazuki Kirigana is a new first year at Gedo High. He was on his way to explore the school a bit when he came upon Aranha. He watches for a moment as Aranha puts down another fighter, and frowns for a bit. His headphones give off muffled sounds as the latest Dragonforce album hammers away at his eardrums.
He looks at the Spider for a moment, before grabbing a seat on a railing. He looks fairly comfortable there for the time being.
The capoeirista tosses a towel off to the railing on an empty spot before he glancing around looking for fighters to step in to fight with him. And no one steps up. It would appear that Ayame has affected business more than he thought. One of these days he's gonna make her pay for the loss of business.
With nought else to do he closes up shop. Atleast, he does on a technical level. He still hasn't quite found a fight to satisfy him and judging by the fact that no more are coming that gambling on the outcome isn't going to bring them in. "Ok... I guess no more bets on fights. But I'm willing to take on a person with nothing on the line." He glances around with a few of the people groaning. Obviously those weren't the Gedo students. "Any takers?"
Kazuki is sitting there nodding his head to the music for a moment when Aranha speaks up. He frowns a bit, and shuts the music off while sliding down from the railing. He walks up to Aranha as he shoves the headphones back to get a good listen to the stranger.
Exotic, definitely a beat you can dance to. Kazuki considers for a moment as he listens to the sounds around him. Still, he frowns. "I... don't know what you are looking for here, but you really shouldn't fight people who are that much," Kazuki jerks his chin over his shoulder to indicate the guy he just finished fighting. "Weaker than you. It messes up the harmony."
"Well..." It's at this moment stops to study person who has approached him. It's obvious that Kazuki's perceptive on some level based on what he says about harmony. "I like to dance. But there doesn't seem to anyone who could dance to the beat."
Aranha's study of the Japanese student taking in the length of his limbs body weight and based on this information attempting to get some preliminary information on the other youth. "Unless you're saying you might be able to."
With that Aranha turns on his heel and pulls out his Oakley Thumps. After all, someone who's appreciative of music shouldn't be too destructive of his eye wear/music player. Oh wait there was Arika. He bobs and weaves a bit but he doesn't go into a genuine ginga. Not until Kazuki verbally or physically accepts his challenge.

Kazuki slides the headphones all the way off and hangs them around his neck. Aranha has =some= capability, unless his ears deceive him. "Well, maybe," Kaz admits.
Kirigana brings his hands up above his waist, and slides his feet about shoulder-width apart. The younger man's face is a study in focus as he looks the slightly shorter man over. "Maybe you shouldn't have danced with them at all."

Aranha can hear the sounds of the berimbau and drums as he begins to go into ginga weaving and moving. Making himself a constantly moving target as he begins his approach towards the fighter. "Let's see how you dance."
And all of sudden he whips his rear foot around in an attempt to test Kazuki's reflexes. It's relatively straight forward but in his Thumps and in his soul plays a Regional rhythm. It was a rhythm that played with fighting in mind.

Kazuki listens as Aranha comes in. The beat speeds up just a bit, gets just a bit more aggressive. The younger man whips an arm to the side, stopping the kick. A subtle shift in weight allows the Aikidoka to enter into Aranha's space.
A soft blue glow slides up the non-blocking arm as Kirigana continues his step in, a punch aimed at Aranha's solar plexus. Kazuki moves through the punch, staying in Aranha's zone in order to be ready to employ the largest weapon at at hand.

Aranha's foot doesn't recoil as quickly as he would've liked though that's partially due to Kazuki's deflection but partially due to just not getting his foot back down. It is is his inability to properly uncoil that undoes him.
Aranha's eyes notices that there's something about Kazuki's punch that he doesn't quite like but he can't put his fingers on it and so he tries to avoid it. But he's too late in getting his foot down and can't rock away from the punch. When the punch lands he immediately figures out what he didn't like about it. But all things considered, he's not overly concerned about it yet.
Instead, he decides to try to create space for himself by leaning back as he kicks upward and swings hips up and over bringing himself back into kick range again.

Kazuki stays in with Aranha, following the flow of the Dancer's movements. Kazuki's ears twitch slightly when the kick comes in, and his eyes narrow. A hand shoots up, catching the kicking leg firmly as Kazuki twists, moving off of Aranha's line to sweep his free arm towards Aranha's torso to toss him to the turf.
The largest weapon /any/ fighter has at hand is the Earth, after all.
That was unexpected. Aranha had threw the attack to see if there was something else to Kazuki and finds his foot grab and he's tossed to the ground. That, he found to be very concerning and he finds the earth is indeed the biggest weapon in any fighter's arsenal.
It was a sentiment that Aranha could appreciate but he tends to use earth as a in a different way. But first he probably needs to change the song he's dancing to or rather running to. Both his sunglasses and his soul begin to play the surf guitar sounds of Dick Dale's 'Misirlou.' But that's where the similarities of what both fighters hear since Aranha in particular is listening to 'Pump It' by the Black Eyed Peas. As he begins to dash to a car kicking off of it to launch himself up above the specators enough that he can he climb up a street light unharassed by people watching the fight. From the top of the street light he drops down feet first upon Kazuki before kicking off to drop down and then into a roll to soften his own impact on the earth.

Kaz does not move to face Aranha right away when the Runner starts his move. Things sound... different. Not something he has ever run into at the dojo, really. He grins faintly as he closes his eyes, taking in the sounds.
The kick drops in, and Kazuki's hand snakes out to catch his opponent by the ankle. The Aikido prodigy pivots as he drops to the ground. At the last moment, that faint blue energy covers Kaz's other elbow, which is promptly slammed into Aranha's knee on the way down.
Kazuki's chi is disruptive, causing minute imbalances in Aranha's system.
Aranha's foot was snatched out of mid air. It was something he was unfamiliar with. Side stepped or deflected but outright snatched then struck that was new. Aranha doesn't quite fall into a roll as he originally intended but flat out he drops to the ground and with a dull thud.
Aranha being beaten up wasn't anything that wasn't unfamiliar but he would need to figure out how to change the tempo of the fight if he wanted to put a dent into Kazuki. And so he doesn't attack right away. Instead he changes his music to something slower. A capoeira Angola styled beat and then he rubs his leg a bit.

Kazuki pulls himself to his feet, his breathing a little fast. He smiles faintly at Aranha. "That last one sounded nice," the Gedo student admits.
He considers for a moment, almost feeling Aranha's eyes on him. Instead of waiting, the youth decides to press the attack, reaching for the front of Aranha's shirt before twisting, and throwing the Runner over his hip and into the ground.

Aranha's response is, "Wha? You heard that?"
The traceur Capoeirista is just so shaken that he's slow to spring the trap. His t-shirt and he finds himself becoming intimate friends with the ground once again. And he finds himself staring at the sky.
Taking a deep breath he pulls off and shuts off the shades and puts them away. As far as he concerned he needs to get rid of anything that could give his rhythm away in terms of audio, not quite connecting it to his soul.
Getting himself together, he scrambles to his feet though he's still low to the ground.
Kazuki is still smiling as he slides back a couple of paces. "In a away," he admits. "I don't think you would believe me if I told you."
Kazuki takes a deep breath, regaining a bit of energy as he draws a slight amount of chi from the air to revitalize himself.

After staring down the creature known as Marise, the Dancing Spider figures there's not a single thing that he could say that could surprise him. He doesn't know how wrong he could be. Aranha's movements are more relaxed, and deliberate, still moving to beat of Angola.
Aranha's foot moves in an intricate shuffle before swinging out a foot at Kazuki's torso before attempting to spin away from the Aikidoka. He's not letting him get away with catching his breath if he can help it.

"My story is not all that interesting," Kazuki says as he raises a forearm to block the fast kick. He allows Aranha to spin away, it would seem.
At the last second, the student's hands go for Aranha's shoulders, attempting to grap the older man's shirt once more before bending at the waist and dragging the Dancing Spider up, over, and face-first into the pavement.

The spin away buys him just the amount of time that he needed to react to Kazuki's grapple attack. As the student reaches for the Dancing Spider Aranha shifts to the side just under the Aikidoka's grip before he leans into what would look like it would lead to a cartwheel but he stops in a handstand and that's when he mentally begins playing Sao Bento Grande de Angola which in turn influences the music that could be heard from his chi.
Aranha begins to snap his feet down upon Kazuki's head in a rapid flurry of kicks, attempting to force his opponent into making mistakes. Practical bent though the move has the appearance of flashiness.

Kazuki starts his approach, taking the kicks in the sides as he advances.
He winces a bit as the feet strike home. His parents wouldn't be happy; they would think that taking these hits would be pointless. However, Aranha has a surprise in store from him as Kaz suddenly drops his weight and lashes out with a hard kick at the ankles designed to throw Aranha off-balance and easier to toss.

Aranha finally seems to have found his rhythm from a defensive standpoint. When he ends the flurry he leans out of the combo and he doesn't have time to enjoy being on his feet again before Kazuki swings a foot at his ankles. However Aranha is barely able to leap out of the way though he manages to go into aerial using the acrobatic manuever to not only evade the kick but to place himself into a position to whip a heel across Kazuki's face. Hoping to recoil quickly enough that he can respond.

Kazuki... does not seem worried in the least for some reason.
"Ougi. Gyakuten Nage," Kaz mutters, and his arms move. Before Aranha can figure out what is going on, Kazuki is standing upright and facing the runner with his arms spread out. Aranha is face first against the wall. Replays, if there were cameras, would show Kazuki grabbing one ankle while placing his other hand in the middle of Aranha's back as he pivots once to launch the older man across the street.
Aranha flies over the crowd, up, up, and then across the street looking like little more than a rag doll. His body end up landing on top of a roof and shattering windows the car and then the music that Aranha plays in his head change once more.
It begins with a violin intro before a powerful percussion instrument kicks in. The sound of Fort Minor's 'Remember the Name' begins playing.
A relaxed smile on his face appears and while he knows he's probably lost this fight he wants to make sure that Kaz has a reason to remember /his/ name. Of course he's too far attack with his feet right now and while he could use his Web Shot, it would use up too much energy for it to be productive.

Kazuki looks up towards the Runner with a look that speaks of curiousity. He's not sure what Aranha is up to, but he might as well be ready for it.
So he closes his eyes, and focuses solely on what his ears tell him. It didn't fail him against his father, and his father studied under a great man.

And then Aranha pushes himself forwards and then when he sees Kazuki's eyes close, he thinks he begin to understand what's going on. He doesn't... On the upside, he knows that, he may be a step closer than he was before and the only thing that would make him certain would be to actually talk with the Gedo student about it. Needless to say he has no other choice but to rush in.
Aranha quickly moves in whipping his foot around in an outside crescent kick glowing with blue energy as he attempts to use his foot to slap the Aikidoka.

And then that first kick which then drops to his rear leg. He shifts back and swings his leg around in a rear leg outside crescent kick which is quickly followed up by a trio of kicks where he touches the ground as he swings the heel of his rear leg towards his opponent's head. On the third of those particular kicks he cuts short and turns his foot as he drops it down on the ground before swinging his other foot at the head in a roundhouse kick-like motion though it's also done with both hands on the ground. Keith then shifts his weight over to the side swinging the unplanted foot up and over which though it doesn't hit, it generates momentum for the other foot to come back across. He performs a handstand and performs a series of rapid spinning handstand kicks. All kicks in this sequence are engulfed in blue chi.
Aranha drops out of the series of kick with a smile and he says perfectly timed to that actual song, "And a hundred percent reason to remember the name."
Kazuki is patient, like most Aikidokas. He knows that he merely needs to act at the proper moment in order to bring about the greatest results. So he waits, and listens, and realizes his error in this situation:
Dad naver used ki; he never had the talent.
Kazuki's eyes snap open when his ears receive too much information, too much chi flying about to properly decipher it with just his ears. Kirigane attempts to make a grab. Somewhere, anywhere in the sequence, and all the Gedo student gets for it is a beating.
Aranha has his patient moments but he has no doubt that if he doesn't strike while the iron's hot, that he's not going to be able to make up ground between him and Kazuki. But he's not even concerned with that. He just wanted to make an impression and he's done that.
Now it's time for him to see if he can make a further impression in the form of a feinting kick towards Kazuki's feet to get his attention low before he flips forwards before dropping a blue glowing heel upon on Kazuki's head.

Kazuki staggers a bit, lifting his arms up to catch the incoming kick on the arms. His knees almost buckle under the force, but Kirigana is still standing when it is over. He considers for a moment, while Aranha still has a leg up in the air, and decides to take action.
His grip shifts, and the Aikido Prodigy attempts to use Aranha's kicking leg as a fulcrum to toss the runner to the ground!
COMBATSYS: Aranha dodges Kazuki's Quick Throw.

Aranha's leg is trapped but he finds that he has to think quickly or else it's curtains for him and so when the grip changes Aranha's grounded leg pushes against the earth propelling himself off the ground and launching that same foot up for Kazuki's shoulder allowing him to kick off of the Aikidoka and pushing himself up into the air and out of Kazuki's grip.
While the Spider's escape saves him from harm, it puts him in a bad position for an attack and so he gambles everything on this one attack. He spins around as he whips his arm outward and backhanding a blue spider web of chi at the Akidoka.
He pants the effort of launching that attack makes it hard to speak. "Shame I didn't bump into you a week ago when I was looking for team mates to enter a tournament with. Anyway if you can still keep going after that, I'm willing to concede the fight to you. I've put myself in too bad a position to realistically win this one."

Kazuki pivots, his ears telling him everything that he needs to know. The young Prodigy lifts up both hands, bracing the back of the left with the right before sweeping both hands downward with a deep lunge.
Instead of some kind of ki blast, or perhaps sheet-like forms made of energy, a simple blast of wind scatters the energy constuct to the point of uselessness.
Kirigana pulls himself upright, and bows slightly. "I'm not sure if I had much left myself, admittedly," he admits.
When Kazuki bows, Aranha steps back and bows in return. "Perhaps but I'm running on fumes. Nevertheless it was quite impressive. Hopefully we can fight again." He pauses to pick up his towel and begins to walk away.
"Who knows? I might even reconsider starting up a team again if I can find more fighters. Anyway, thanks for the fight." And with that Aranha walks(Read: limps) away with his winnings, the evening profitable in more ways than one to the traceur/capoeirista.

Kazuki /lets/ Aranha take the money, as he slides his headphones back on. After all, he'd be a bully himself if he tried to take what Aranha had (questionably) earned. Kaz rolls his neck from side to side as he walks away.
Hopefully he won't need to explain the bruising later.
