Neo League 570 - #600: Kyo vs Krauser

Description: In Wolfgang Krauser's return to the professional fighting world after a months-long absence, Kyo Kusanagi is invited to Strolheim to face off against the castle's lord in an epic Neo League confrontation! And in a nail-biting finish... (Draw Match)

Quite some time, the Earl of Strolheim has been in self-imposed exile. While he would never admit it to anyone short of Blood himself, he had little urge to return to the fighting circuit in his current condition. After being trounced so thoroughly by Rugal Bernstein, then losing a fight after against Duke... to someone so strict on his own fighting style, this was unforgivable. Months have passed with little to no public word coming forth from the castle, nor has the nearby peasantry heard more than a peep from the castle's Lord. There was hardly any traffic to or from the castle, and even less news made its way out concerning its inhabitants. It wasn't until the week previous that the silence had finally been broken; Wolfgang Krauser von Strolheim would fight again. All this time, he had been training, practicing, refining and revising his own style, working to bring himself back to his former glory. And all this training would come to bear in a bout against someone he would be all too sure would put it to use.

With only one week to gather the needed resources for such a fight, Ken Masters' Neo League had a time throwing together the camera crews necessary to cover such a fight, let alone properly promoting it, but a lot of money had gone into getting it the necessary commercial time; Wolfgang Krauser vs. Kyo Kusanagi, in the Castle Strolheim. The crews had just finished setting up their gear as the Earl came striding from the Great Hall, clad in full regalia; golden armor, bright red cape, and the sort of pissed off-yet-still-oddly-calm expression that seemed so typical of the German. He strode his way up to the edge of the ring, then rolled his head, popping his neck with a quiet little sigh as he eyed the fighting area with slight apprehension; this wouldn't turn out like his past fights, no. It was time for him to move back to the forefront, come hell or high water.

And who better to face in a returning fight than the current top-ranked fighter in the Neo League? Kyo Kusanagi doesn't seem to be in the habit of turning down challengers, having even gone face to face with the so called 'Hurricane Hime' - though he was pretty sure it was a practical joke at the time - which is what brings him here, to scenic Strolheim, so far away from the much more comfortable environs of his home.

As the crews prepare, Kyo pretty much just takes his ease, leaning boredly against the side of the fighters' barracks in order to keep himself out of the way of the Neo League personnel, showing at least that much consideration to etiquette... But by the time they finish up, and Krauser himself is making the scene, the Kusanagi heir is ushered into the midst of the bloodstained fighting ring to await the arrival of the fight's host and challenger. Of course, he does this with his characteristic lazy arrogance, a faint smirk playing on his face as he watches the armored Krauser approach.

"Hey... You're not dead," Kyo says of Krauser, managing to sound quite amazed! "I figured you dropped off the face of the Earth 'cause you broke your hip or something. Good for you!" he adds, patronisingly. It's a wonder he doesn't get invited to the houses of /more/ European nobility!

A faint smirk pulls at the edge of Krauser's lips as Kyo manages to start the conversation off with an insult. Were he not familiar with the smart mouth of the Kusanagi error, he might have looked insulted, or perhaps upset. Instead, he just shakes his head before stepping into the edge of the fighting ring. "Perhaps, Kusanagi, if you ever finish high school, you could have been educated enough to aid me in healing what you children would refer to as my 'brittle old man hip'." The purple-haired German turns his head back, spitting outside the ring before carefully opening the clasp that holds his cape around his neck. The fabric is folded carefully before it's passed off to one of the nearby retainers. "But your presence here shall be enough, I have no need of uneducated children attempting medicine."

A brief motion of Krauser's hand is given to the Neo League staff, and shortly after, the speakers sparked to life. "Ladies and gentlemen, Ken Masters' Neo League is proud to present this fight today, the long-awaited return of one of the fighters involved. First, to my left, the current top of the Neo League, KYO.. KUSANAGI!" A few moments is allowed to let the cheering die down before the announcer starts up again. "And, to my right..." The crowd, mostly Strolheim residents, starts cheering before Krauser's name is even mentioned. "Making his return to the fighting circuit after months of absence.. the Lord of this castle, the Earl of Strolheim... WOLFGANG KRAUSER!" The crowd cheers even louder as their Earl is announced, and as his name is announced, the German brings his arms up to either side before flexing.. his jaw clenches for a moment, and there's almost visible muscle train before the golden armor that he wears almost literally explodes off his form. Clasps break and snap, and the armor goes flying from its respective limb, and the Strolheim retainers are right in to pick it up before it gets too dirty. After that, it takes a good few seconds for them to quiet back down again. "And now, let us begin! FIGHT!"

With the call out to start the fight, Krauser is already moving. He charges forward for a couple steps before he pushes off the ground, taking to the air. He only lifts up a few feet before his upper body dips down, bringing his legs up over his head in the process. As his body remains airborne, completing a near 360-degree turn, one foot goes forward, taking all the momentum of his spin in an attempt to slam that foot square into the side of Kyo's head. "LEG.. TOMAHAWK!"

"Heh," is Kyo's simple, quietly laughed response to Krauser's own remarks. "Don't regret this, okay?"

And then, the introductions happen. Kyo is pretty used to that sort of thing, the pomp and circumstance of being a professional fighter, and when his name is shouted he raises his right fist in acknowledgement of the cheers... Though his attention remains focused on Krauser. The Earl of Strolheim is no slouch, and as arrogant as Kyo is, he's not completely dismissive of the abilities of others. Most of the time. If they're actually good.

So Krauser's immediate action isn't too much of a surprise to the younger fighter, though the speed and power of the attack have some unfortunate consequences for Kyo. He tries to get his arm up in the way of that spinning kick, but he can't manage to hold the attack off, Krauser's leg battering down his guard and indeed, that foot collides with the side of Kyo's head, nearly knocking him right off of his feet. "Not bad," Kyo allows, high praise indeed from the Kusanagi heir, before he suddenly lunges directly at Krauser and swings his right fist in a hooking punch at the German, the arc of his fist followed by the Kusanagi flames that similarly surround his fist. If the first punch connects, then he follows it with a second, more flames erupting forth with ostentatious ease, before finishing the combination with a downward elbow, in the hopes of driving Krauser face-first into the dirt of his own castle. "--BUT NOT GOOD ENOUGH, EITHER!"

After the collision of foot with head, the final bit of the turn completes, and Krauser skids across the ground for a couple feet, digging his heels in and touching a hand down to steady himself before he straightens himself back up. It's not long after he's standing, though, that Kyo is already coming right back at him, far faster than he expected with regards to a reaction at all, nevermind a return attack. That first strike finds its way right past the arm coming up for defense, staggering Krauser backwards and leaving a light singe behind with it. The second comes right behidn it, and the elbow doesn't quite take Krauser to the ground, but there's enough momentum to drive the German down to a knee. "... hf.. As fast as I remember, Kusanagi."

A low chuckle rumbles in the back of the German's throat as he uses his crouching position for momentum, pushing off his back leg in a charge straight for Kyo. In the short space that he has to move, his right shoulder comes around, aiming to bury that shoulder right into Kyo's gut. Should that connect, Krauser will straighten up in a hurry, right fist leading by way of a stiff uppercut coming straight up from his chest with all intention to slam meaty German knuckles into Kusanagi's facemeat

Snorting a bit as he pulls back after the last strike, a bit slow after committing himself completely to his combination attack, Kyo seems unimpressed by the 'compliment'. "Yeah well, you're about as lame and one-trick as ever," he counters. Unfortunately for Kyo, being one-trick means you're REALLY GOOD at it, and in Krauser's case that trick is ploughing through the other guy's defense and hitting him hard. Seeing the charge coming, Kyo once again tries to get his arms in the way of the attack, to catch the German's shoulder block, but this particular blitzkrieg goes right past it, doubling over the gut strike and then getting uppercutted pretty soldily, half-falling back several steps.

Not bueno.

Still, Kyo manages to catch himself before /actually/ falling flat on his ass, rubbing his chin with the back of one hand even as he throws his other hand forward in an underhand flaming arc, letting loose a seed of Kusanagi flames that tear across the dirt towards Krauser! "Tch... EAT THIS!!"

"Lame? One-trick?" Krauser chuckled to himself, shaking his head faintly as Kyo staggered backwards. "If only your wit were as strong as your punches, Kusanagi. For my single apparent trick, you seem to be unable to defend yourself against it." But then, the flame-wielder comes right up again, and the flames start ripping through the dirt. The castle's Lord narrows his eyes, then, and anyone at all capable of feeling chi is going to feel a sudden torrent whipping up around him. Both hands take on a near-blinding blue aura, flaring with energy, all the force that the German can muster on such short notice focusing into his hands all at once. "Behold your own foolishness!"

"KAISAH.... WAVE!"

Both muscled arms throw forward, unleashing a blast easily as tall as Krauser himself, barreling straight at Kyo. The angry blue chi devours the Kusanagi flames that stand between it and its target, whipping throughthe flames and reducing them to nothing as they fly straight for Kyo in an attempt to explode his stupid face.

Oooh... That looks like it could be bad for Kyo. It's too late to do anything as Krauser's chi flares up, certainly too late to call back his own attack. Those poor flames are snuffed out, sacrificed by the Kaiser Wave which then comes for Kyo himself, a thunderous strike that could, perhaps, bring the fight to an early end right then and there...

But it doesn't.

Instead, Kyo starts to move, lunging back as the chi blast catches up with him, and throws his arms in the way of the attack. Kyo's own chi presses against the Kaiser Wave, until he finally manages to split the deadly attack in twain, letting its two halves continue past him and probably damage some Neo League equipment. Still... Better that than him, you know?

"Like I said," Kyo muses, playing off the /serious damn effort/ involved in what he just did; but the success only invigorates him, inspiring him to turn this whole wacky party around as only a Kusanagi can. Which means, of course, that he rushes forward at Krauser again, reaching out with one hand to grab the massive German by the neck, so he can unleash a sudden explosion of orange-crimson Kusanagi flames. "Now GIVE IT UP ALREADY!!"

... in a scene oddly reminscent of the one that sent him into self-imposed training in the first place, Wolfgang Krauser watches someone split his own quote-enquote legendary technique right down the middle. Honestly, he can do very little but stare for a moment, looking back at the wrecked equipment and his own inability to destroy the person across from him with a Kaiser Wave. He has sparse time beyond that, though, to think about it; Kyo's already coming straight for him again. Both arms come up between himself and the incoming fire, letting the flames slam into his forearms and spend themselves before they can reach his face. ".. give up?"

A brief laugh echoes deep in Krauser's throat before his right hand comes down from that blocking position in an attempt to backhand Kyo square across the face. "Wolfgang Krauser von Strolheim submits to no man, Kusanagi!" Should that backhand connect, the right hand comes back across with a stiff cross, then the left hand follows with a jab, both strikes directed to the chest. "Earn your victory, or die as the others have before you!" The final strike of the combination will come in a sharp, sudden uppercut aimed to collide just underneath Kyo's chin, throwing all his weight behind that strike to try and just bring the Kusanagi heir right off his feet.

Sometimes, you know, there's a downside to being like Kyo Kusanagi; specifically, to having 'smack talk' as your mother tongue. Sometimes, you see, this causes your opponents to actually be filled with the sort of righteous fury that gets talked up a lot in movies and comics and stuff, and then even your own amazing skills can't quite compensate.

Case in point: Right now.

When Krauser aims that backhand, Kyo reaches to try and grab the taller fighter by the wrist of his attacking arm, but he can't quite get there in time. This has the distressing side effect of leaving him wide open for the rest of the punishing combination, which is, finally, enough to take Kyo off of his feet. The final uppercut knocks the Kusanagi heir up and back and then down, leaving him to land flat on his back looking rather surprised. Could this be the end for Kyo Kusanagi? Could he truly be doomed?

"Ooooh... That was actually a good one," Kyo says, as he pushes himself into a low crouch. Losing or not, he still seems quite able to run his mouth.

There's a certain mild case of satisfaction that comes with seeing Kyo going very nearly ass over teakettle. Krauser straightens back up as Kusanagi hits the ground, then affords himself a few slow steps backwards to make some room between himself and his opponent before he settles down into a similar crouch. Krauser rests on his haunches, lightly bouncing on the balls of his feet while he simply waits, curious as to what Kyo might do after being, for lack of a better term, put into his goddamn place.

"Don't disappoint me, Kusanagi. I've been thinking about who I would fight when I returned to the ring, and I would hate to feel that my decision was not well-thought out." Krauser brushes his hands off for a moment, then takes a deep breath before returning to a standing position.

COMBATSYS: Krauser gains composure.

"Getting tired already, huh?" Kyo wonders, as he straightens up as well. "Sure it isn't past your naptime or something?" But really, he wonders, what's up with Krauser not pressing the attack? Maybe the guy really is getting tired. Losing his touch, for all of his ability to hit Kyo really, really hard. "'cause I'm sure some of your lapdogs could go get you a pillow and your royal blankie or whatever, maybe your stuffed animal, Baron von Punchenstein?" But hey, if Krauser feels the need to take a breather, why doesn't Kyo as well? So he relaxes, just a little bit, tilting his head as he watches the German.

"If you're just gonna stand there like a puss, Krauser," Kyo adds, simply. "I'm just gonna walk away. Cowards aren't worth my time."

COMBATSYS: Kyo gains composure.

Rather than getting his moustache in a twist, the German's lips simply pull into a short, unamused smirk. "I apologize, then, Kusanagi. Your bland, uninspired defenses seemed like they were lacking, and your strikes were backed by the sort of power that could be matched by the strength of an eight year old Strolheim child." Krauser slowly rolls his head, popping his neck as he looks back towards Kyo. "I thought, perhaps, that I had... what's that children's saying... punched you retarded?" A low chuckle precedes the Castle Lord shaking his head again. "I will not be making that concession again."

As soon as he finishes that statement, his right hand immediately whips across his body, starting at his side and coming up in an instant; in that time, a large, pulsing red orb forms in Krauser's palm, roughly the size of a basketball, and it leaves his hand right as his fingers splay open, releasing the sphere and flinging it straight for Kyo's face. A moment later, a second one follows, trailing scant inches behind the first, both angry chi spheres directed for the Kusanagi heir's overactive mouth.

"Double... Blitz Ball!"

COMBATSYS: Kyo endures Krauser's Blitz Ball.

Once again though, Kyo's only response to Krauser's hurtful words is a faint chuckle and a smirk. Inside, maybe, he's crying a single tear. ...Naaaah, probably not.

Instead, he watches that attack form, and after only a moment's consideration, he does the most sensible thing in the world. He runs directly into it. The Blitz Ball smashes into Kyo, staggering him slightly, but the Kusanagi heir just keeps rushing forward at the German.... And at approximately that point, Kyo catches on fire.

Yeah, actually on fire.

Raging Kusanagi flames lift off of Kyo's form as he continues towards Krauser, raising his right hand into the air and focusing all of that flame there, at a single point where it grows terribly bright, brighter than the flames which all but obscure the rest of Kyo's body... And once he gets close enough, he sweeps his right hand back, then forward, unleashing all that force in a hellish wave of Kusanagi flames, the fire tearing itself off of his body to bolster that wave, a storm of power and rage seeking to devour Krauser utterly, the attack accompanied by a battlecry of: "GO CRY TO YOUR MOM, PUSSY!!"

Kyo's parents must be proud.

In an odd, brief moment of coincidence, Kyo and Krauser are entertaining the same thought; take whatever's coming and meet it head-on. After the impact of the Blitz Ball, he sees the overwhelming presence of the Kusanagi flames, and he... charges. Straight for Kyo. In an amazing bout in which common sense fails to direct the motions of the German, he rushes right into the incoming flames, letting it overwhelm his body in no small amount of horrible fire-induced pain.

However, when it's all said and done, the first thing that Kyo sees when the fires die down would be the face of Wolfgang Krauser, smiling wide just a moment before he moves amidst the smoke and charred smell of flesh, dodging off to the right side. One arm extends in an attempt to loop around Kyo's waist. Should he get a hold, the other arm will come around, clasping that hand at the other's wrist. Then, his entire weight will throw backwards as his feet leave the ground, maintaining a hold on Kusanagi while he aims to drive the flame-wielder skull-first into the ring.

COMBATSYS: Kyo just-defends Krauser's Kaiser Suplex!

[                \\\\\\\\\\\\\\  < >  /////////////////             ]
Kyo              0/-------/----===|=======\-------\0          Krauser

Hey, that's not supposed to happen!

Kyo is, needless to say, pretty shocked when Krauser barrels right on THROUGH his Orochinagi, though he should probably expect that sort of thing by now. So shocked is he that, indeed, he gets caught by Krauser around the waist, and this naturally leads to his getting thrown backwards by the German, which all things considered is not something he really wants to see through to its conclusion.

So, Kyo does the only thing he can in the situation, and forcefully swings his legs forward - well, relatively forward to him - and bends pretty much double in an impressive feat of flexibility, catching the whole suplex ensemble by landing on his feet.

"Gh..." grunts Kyo in strain, because Krauser is a pretty big dude and this is not exactly an easy position to get used to. As he is a canny and clever fighter, the younger man realises that because of this he should try to get /out/ of this position. Which he does by yelling to focus himself, and actually /lifting/ Krauser up over his head and then flipping /him/ towards the ground, with every intention of hitting the bigger man really hard at the same moment he impacts the dirt.

COMBATSYS: Krauser counters Issetsu Seoi Nage from Kyo with Quick Throw.

Krauser is, indeed, big. Some might go so far as to call the German huge. But this alone doesn't dictate the possibility that he's a lot more flexible than he looks. Admittedly, confusion was the first thing that hit his mind when Kyo managed to fold himself almost fully in half and hit the ground feet first. But his mind went into motion after that, feeling his body heaved right off the ground with no small amount of effort. "Gh--!"

When Kyo starts to lift him overhead, Krauser starts to twist in his grasp, moving back and forth, twisting and wriggling until he manages to squirm himself around to the point that, much like Kyo, the first thing to hit the ground is his feet, He continues with the momentum garnered from the now-two throws as his hands both clasp onto the nearest of Kyo's wrists, then he swings around as quickly as he can, bringing Kusanagi down in a throw reminscent of a judo styling as he swings him overhead and just drops him right into the ground.

No matter how you slice it, that whole exchange was probably pretty impressive. Even Kyo would acknowledge it despite being on the losing end, but he's got more important things to do at the moment... Like pick his ass up off the ground. Indeed, when he's about halfway up, still in a low crouch after getting tossed in his own attempt to toss Krauser from /his/ attempt to toss Kyo, it seems that the Kusanagi heir's plan becomes a bit different than just 'standing up'.

Because, of course, he goes from 'crouching' to 'jumping', and twists as he leaps, flames searing forth in a swirling helix as he tries to catch Krauser on the way up and take the big German /with/ him, to batter him with fists and flames alike in some kind of crazy uppercut. "BURN!!"

COMBATSYS: Kyo successfully hits Krauser with Oniyaki.

Kyo              0/-------/--=====|=======\-------\0          Krauser

With as quickly as the fight has been moving this far, you would think that Krauser would be ready for the reaction time turning around that quickly. Once Kyo's hit the ground, he's already coming right back up, before the meaty German can get his arms in the path. Whether he likes it or not, he's going up, body alight once again, smoldering up until the point that he hits the ground with a rather decisive *thud*. And it's there that he lies for a moment, before the flames die down, upon which Krauser rolls back onto his shoulders and hops right back up to his feet.

Rather than saying anything, at this point, the Strolheim Earl just goes barreling forward once again, getting a good few steps in before he pushes off the ground and sends himself airborne once again. His hangtime stays low, only bringing himself up high enough to get both legs off the ground before he brings his feet together, aiming to drive both feet right into Kusanagi's chest in a dropkick with all his weight thrown into it.

Kyo              0/-------/=======|=======\=------\1          Krauser

Landing easily after his rising attack, Kyo would seem to have the advantage of readiness over Krauser, who has to roll and hop back up to his feet to prepare himself for whatever he's doing next... But whether that advantage is real or simply perceived, the fact of the matter is that Kyo is able to exploit it.

Seeing Krauser's dropkick coming, the Kusanagi heir does what might seem counterintuitive and steps /into/ it, reaching out and catching the massive German by his massive German ankle, twisting and driving him towards the ground. This, by itself, probably wouldn't hurt Krauser overly much; which is probably why Kyo lunges forward and adds an overhand, downwards punch complete with explosion of Kusanagi flames to sweeten the deal, driving his fist into Krauser while the latter is on the ground. "Too SLOW!!"

There was little Krauser could do to turn away from the incoming Kusanagi; he had already commited himself to the attack, and it was that overcommitment that resulted in him being slammed into the ground. He started rolling away as soon as the punch collided with his chest, snuffing out the flames in mid-roll until he gets himself a reasonable distance away from Kyo. Only then does he hop back up to his feet again, now slightly panting for breath and charred for his efforts. "Forever talking, Kusanagi." A slow shake turns the German powerhouse's head for a moment as he lets out a sigh. "It tires me, hearing you ceaselessly yammer on. One way or another, I believe it is best that we end this fight, lest your voice tire me before your technique does."

One moment, the purple-haired Castle Lord is simply standing there. The next, he snaps forward, far faster than someone of his size should be capable of moving. His right fist is lifting as his body is moving, and the initial strike comes in a right cross, aimed to simply stun Kyo with a firm, straight right-handed punch right to the middle of the face.

"See, and here I thought I was being charitable, giving an old has-been somebody to talk to!" Kyo declares, actually half turning away from Krauser to give a theatrically exaggerated 'what can you do?' shrug to the crowd and the camera. Much of the crowd, being Strolheim types, don't find this terribly amusing... Which just makes it funnier to Kusanagi!

His apparent lack of attention is now, however, enough to leave him unaware and defenseless against Krauser's sudden assault. As the punch comes towards him with frightening speed, looking to stun the younger fighter and leave him wide open for whatever the German plans to follow with, Kyo ducks back and lifts up a hand, and in the sudden, astonished silence that follows all that booing - and intermittent cheering - of Kyo's antics, the slap of Krauser's fist against Kyo's open palm echoes impossibly loudly.

"But fine, no more words. Let's get back to you losing." With his possible continued grip on Krauser's fist, he simply twists and aims to hip-toss the larger man, to drive him face-first into the dirt again!

Long since Kyo had started talking was Krauser already tired of humoring the boy; he spent a bit of time throwing about insults, but the antics of youth just... tire. No surprise was shown when his strike was simply deflected; he simply brought his arms around to prepare for the next response. As Kyo's grip reached his wrists, so too did Krauser's grip shift, attempting to snag ahold of Kusanagi... but, to no avail. No grip was gotten before he went head over hip, slamming down into the dirt. He managed enough of a turn that he landed back-first, rather than face-first, but that did little to lessen the impact of hitting the ground against his will.

It seems though that Kyo is at least good to his word about not talking anymore; there's no more trash talk spewed by the reigning World Warrior champion as he twists to see Krauser in a more controlled fall than he would've expected, and instead of taking the time to be a jerk and mock the German for getting thrown anyway despite his attempts to do otherwise, he instead chooses to be a jerk by pressing the attack, lunging forward and aiming to strike Krauser before he can even get up!

With a grunt of effort, Kyo swings is right fist down in a heavy, overhead punch, raging Kusanagi flames following the strike and emitting from his fist as he tries to drive Krauser into the ground and out of consciousness with one furious final blow!

What happens next is something that one would expect to see, timing-wise, in nothing short of one of those dramatic anime fighting cartoons. Speed lines would be involved, and very possibly lens flare. Time would stop for dramatic effect. Scantily-clad girls would hold their cheeks and stop breathing for a few moments. There would be explosions in the background and karate masters hundreds of miles away would feel the force of the impact.

When Kyo swings around to deliver the final dramatic blow, Krauser just... rolls backwards. From a laying position, he manages to bring himself up onto his hands, lifting into a quick handstand before his legs drop forward. With all the force that he can muster, right as the knuckles of Kyo Kusagami slam into his face, the foot of Wolfgang Krauser slams right into the back of Kyo's head.

It's at that point, in a a dramatic fighting anime cartoon, that time would just stop. One of those diagonal screen-splits would show both fighters looking all x_@ at the same time. Right as he feels the unconventional Leg Tomahawk drop down across the back of Kyo's head and neck, he simply... loses his ability to have bones in his arm. Krauser slumps down to the ground, laying on his side and smoking and smoldering, gasping for breath.

Indeed, it all seems to be going perfectly for Kyo, despite what some might call a poor start to the match... He's sure he's got this one in the bag as his fist collides with the face of Wolfgang Krauser. What he didn't count on, of course, was the impact of Krauser's own foot against the back of his head, knocking it forward and generally jarring his brainmeats.

So as Krauser collapses on his side and smoulders, Kyo drops to his knees with a groan. He tries to get back up, he really does. He should have this won, right?! But... He can't manage it, instead sagging forward onto one hand, and then sort of flopping onto the ground. Ow.

Germans hit hard, man.
