Metro City Park, a large park with a lot to do for families, the only bigger park you could possibly find is Central Park in New York City. But either way, there's always something to do here, no matter how old you are or where you're from, or even what you like to do. Which is why one section has been closed off for a NeoLeague match.
A large ring has been set up and spectators are gathering already to watch, waiting eagerly for the start of the match. A young man with a microphone steps into the center of the ring. "Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to today's NeoLeague Match. First up, from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, the Shotokan Queen, Katelynn Molina!" At that, the crowd applauds wildly as Katelynn enters the ring and waves to the audience.
Zach makes his way to the ring slowly, perhaps with purpose or maybe residual pain. The climb in is also slow, instead of the hop Zach might have normally tried. He looks around briefly to look at the crowd.
"The challenger, from Cleveland, Ohio! Zach! GLEN!" Zach waves once, before sliding between the second and third rope. He looks tired, maybe a bit concerned about something as he starts to limber up. No flash, no showmanship.
The pyrotechnics will come soon enough.
Katelynn has already finished loosening up, and is in her fighting stance. She looks to Zach and says, "Looks like we meet yet again. What a pleasant surprise. And what an experience this will be." With that, she gets into her fighting stance and waits for the bell to ring.

Zach doesn't say much. He simply nods once and slides into a jujitsu-stance. The bell rings...
...and Zach bursts into purple flames. The fire seems to wrap around him, almost protectively and as if it is trying to assist him in some way...

Those flames are not a surprise to Katelynn; She's familiar with Zach and his Psycho Power techniques. It doesn't bother her in the least bit either. In fact, it reminds her of how challenging this fight will be, and how it will help her with her practice. For the time being, however, she simply advances slowly on Zach, awaiting his next move.

Zach considers for a second, a flicker of hesitation crossing his face. It seems to pass quickly, however.
Glen steps in quickly, and attempts to grab Katelynn's gi for a standard shoulder throw. However, the throw is quickly followed by a concussive blast of psycho power in an attempt to send Katelynn flying across the ring!

As Zach attempts to grab Katelynn, she firmly plants her bare feet into the mat and tenses herself up. She grabs onto Zach and holds him, preventing him from throwing her. As a result, Katelynn is forced back a little, but not hurt badly. After she lets go, she resumes her fighting stance.
She gives a quick nod as if to say 'nice start,' and then delivers a swift right kick, aimed at Zach's leg.

Zach frowns as Katelynn steps in and throws a fist high, as if to punch a much taller person in the jaw.
The jagged flare of psycho power that launches from the ground flares wide and to the left of Katelynn. The kick strikes Glen in the ribcage, causing the YFCC Handyman staggering across the ring.
Katelynn realizes that her opponent may not be on the right foot after all. It seems he's stumbled when he tried to get going. But it happens to the best of people. Still, Katelynn's not going to let Zach just rest and recover. She's going to keep the fight going, and this time she brings a fist up and aims it at the side of Zach's face.

Zach catches the fist on the meaty part of his elbow. He frowns still, and hops back several feet before throwing his hands into the air.
Three sheets of purple appear above Katelynn's head. Zach steps forward as he brings his arms down. The sheets fall a moment later!

As the projectile comes at Katelynn, she immediately gets into a defensive stance, ready to block it. Unfortunately, the attempt backfires, and she's hit square in the head, sending her staggering into the ropes. The referee signals for Zach to stay away while an assistant referee checks on her. Fortunately, she gets herself untangled quickly.
And then, without saying anything, she jumps onto the ropes and then flies at Zach with an amazingly fast kick.

Zach tries the same move as he attempted and fires another spike, this time from the right side.
This spike misses as well, and Zach takes the kick square in the chest. Zach lets out a short yell, and he staggers back. The front of his shirt starts to darken with some kind of moisture...
Katelynn watches as her opponent goes back a little. Seems he's got a bit of resilience with him, Katelynn admires that in a fighter. The fact he can take a kick like that and get right back up is great. But Katelynn isn't content with letting him recover. Instead, she attempts to grab him by the shoulders and throw him over her shoulder onto the mat.

Zach is picked up, and slammed into the mat. Kate may get the suspicion that he went with it, however, judging from the fact that he almost immediately rolls away from the Shotokahner.
He gets to his feet, and the flames reappear, this time more intense...

Zach's gathering power again, and Katelynn knows that with a Psycho Power user, it can be a dangerous thing. With power like that, there's no telling what could come next. So Katelynn backs up a little, keeping an eye on her opponent and attempting to anticipate his next move.

Might be time to just end this, Zach thinks. He looks at Katelynn for a moment.
A moment later, Zach is charging in, the flames around him wrapping around him as he leads with his right. The flames seem to soak into Zach, except for those around the left arm. Those forge into a large gauntlet.
This is slammed into Katelynn's chest at high speed!

Looks like it might truly be time to end it all, since as Zach comes at Katelynn, she brings a fist back for her Energy Fist attack. But Zach gets her while she's focusing. And that sends her staggering, hard, to the mat. She's gotten the wind knocked out of her, and her eyes are half open as the referee begins to count. Just as he gets to seven, though, Katelynn manages to get back onto her feet.
For the time being, she needs a moment to rest, so she steps back and her assistant gives her a sip of Gatorade while she catches her breath.

Zach looks at Katelynn for a moment, sighting in on the young woman one more time.
"Ready?" Zach charges in, bringing that left hand back once more, as he skids to a halt in front of her. The left hand whips forward, and comes out with that large spinning globe of Psycho Power Katelynn has met many times before!

Even with the best defense in her stance, Katelynn still can't manage to absorb much of Zach's incoming attack. The hit leaves her reeling a bit, and she starts to lose her balance. It looks like she's going down, but before she does, she regains her energy long enough to charge at Zach and deliver a swift flurry of carefully choreographed punches and kicks... But either way, she's going down, regardless of what happens.

Zach absorbs the blows from Katelynn, but it still connects anyway. Nonetheless, as the last attack strikes, Katelynn falls facefirst to the mat. The referee runs over to check on her, and signals for a stoppage of the match. "Here's the winner, Zach!" The announcer says.
Zach knew that this was coming. She always gets that one last burst of frenetic energy. Zach turtles up, knocking punches and kicks aside while weather the strikes as best as he can. The wet spot on his chest grows, and when the bell rings, he slumps to one knee, looking pained.
He waves off help, and simple makes his way out of the park. He has things to get to...
