Description: Looking to strengthen her social status within Seijyun, Yurika formulates a plan to sabotage potential rivals, a plan that becomes the first mission for the newly organized ARIA.
Things have been very quiet as of late about the Seijyun area, and quite frankly that's exactly how a certain Yurika Kirishima likes it. As usual the girl is kept extremely busy keeping up with school affairs as well as her own personal training. It would be enough to make your average student completely insane.
But for Yurika, constant working is a natural part of her life. She actually feels a bit uncomfortable if she has nothing to do.
Seijyun is long since out of class toward the late afternoon; via e-mail or cell phones Ninon and Aislinn would have recieved a request of attendance at the student council office which, at the moment, is actually just the teachers lounge that has been used with permission. It's a fairly neat and barren room, atop desks are all sorts of papers, folders, and schedules, Yurika occupying a clean one toward the rear with a cup of tea in one hand, a pen in the other.. One day they'll have their own office.
She didn't make it clear, but she does remember that Aislinn and Ninon have yet to actually meet.. And of course has questions for her quieter ally. The door is left slightly open, and stepping inside would reveal a suprisingly serene atmosphere.
Aislinn is used to these little summons; it was not too long ago that Yurika summoned her for a small status report and to give her... a gift. Most odd. But, nonetheless, she has been summoned... she has yet to meet Ninon, and in fact she probably doesn't know (or isn't aware) that she'll be here. Being on Seijyun grounds and having been out of classes for just a couple of hours, she's still wearing her Seijyun uniform--at least, her take on the uniform, thanks be to the fashion desingers of NESTS.
The uniquities of her uniform are subtle; she doesn't want to stand out that much. But she does anyways, unique amongst the cultured Seijyun girls for her quiet bluntness and her disdain for fashion and high culture. Truly, in many ways she is a Gedo implant in the rich soils of Seijyun; many days she thinks she might have to go back there, to fit in more easily...
The door to the lounge swings open, admitting the lavender haired NESTS and Blackjack agent, stepping in quietly with just a nod for Yurika as she takes a seat from where she can watch the doors and windows.
It hadn't taken long for Ninon to realize the usefulness of modern technologies once she'd left her sheltered home in America. She would of never of considered even owning a computer before she left home. It was a machine for a lesser person, someone too lazy to do their work for themselves, too disorganized to manage their important files, too foolish to depend upon themselves. She didn't have a need for such a thing, or so she'd previously thought. Judging by the fact that she recieved an email from the girl she considers her protege, it should go without saying that she'd changed her mind. She'd been forced to change her mind on a lot of things since coming to Southtown, actually. She had come to Southtown with the intent to reaffirm what she believed she already knew. That her way was a superior way, that her power was unmatched, that she was perhaps the most important person on the face of the planet. That she was also forced to compromise. The fighters that called the city home had proven to her that her power needing honing yet before she could truely lay claim to perfection.%Of course, you would never know it by speaking with her.
When she steps into the room, it is with same self-important aura around her that Yurika would no doubt of grown used to by now. She is here because she felt like it. It has nothing to do with being summoned, she merely had nothing better to do. "You have something you wish to speak to me about, Yurika Kirishima?" As for Aislinn? Ninon is well aware of her presence, but doesn't even so much as glance at her. To Ninon, she is nothing more then a piece of the background.
Yurika is a busy girl, but she's never busy enough not to pay attention to her companions. She knew from the very first day she met Aislinn that she could fit into Seijyun.. It's just tragically unfortunate she somewhat lost the chance to really convert her once discovering the girl was part of a larger organization.
Though the smaller things are what really mattered; Aislinn wasn't much of a problem student and was as well behaved as a 'Gedo Punk' can get. But back to the present, it's no suprise that as usual Aislinn is all business, soldier-like in movement. It would be very interesting to say the least, to see how she and Ninon would interact, two extremely different girls and yet there's a similarity that Kirishma's eye catches, that convinces her they could get along regardless.
She hasn't been wrong yet. But there's a first time for everything. Yurika, clad in her usual uniform, stands up and gives a bow to both comers, "Good afternoon, I'm glad that you two could make it.. As usual, I'd like to keep things brief, as it's come to my attention you two have yet to meet. Also there is a small 'issue' that needs to be brought to attention." She gestures to Aislinn. "Miss Aislinn Doyle, Services officer of the council. Though that information isn't public." then to Ninon, "Miss Ninon Beart, Discipline officer of the council. As we're all part of the same group, I thought it would be wise to be more familiar with one another as I feel in the near future we will need to work togeather in the trials ahead."
A larger organization. Yes. Aislinn -is- part of a larger organization... and a larger organization over that. But she -is- part of Seijyun, and, as she has said to Yurika before, she is available for what Yurika is planning. In a way, Aislinn is simply curious to see if Yurika can, as they say, 'pull it off'... she has grand schemes but many, many people have grand schemes and very few pull them off partially, much less even completely successfully.
Ninon? She gets the barest of acknowledgements. The Silent Assassin merely glances her way, just her eyes moving, as she then turns to face Yurika. The musician, it appears, will have quite the task ahead of her--making Aislinn and Ninon work together might be very difficult.
... an orientation meeting, hmm? Aislinn already gave Ninon the once-over. Prissy gothic lolita mess of a girl... and she can already tell that Ninon has quite the opinion of herself. It takes a minute, literally, before she turns her head to regard Ninon for a moment, her lavender eyes giving nothing away.
With neither of the girls seeming particularly impressed with the other it would indeed be difficult to convince the pair to work together. Ninon has no idea of Aislinn's connections, of course. For all her arrogant attitude, she isn't nearly as well informed or as powerful as she plays herself off to be. However if there is one thing that she IS capable of, it is talking. She seems to love the sound of her own voice. "So, this is the one you've mentioned, Yurika." Now that it seems that the other girl is someone worth paying attention to, Ninon's eyes are locked on her. "I trust there is more to her then what her appearance would suggest." Arms cross in front of her. "Otherwise, I can't begin to imagine it being worth the time to get to know her."
As if Yurika didn't have enough troubles; but she's not a complete fool, she knows that the two simply wouldn't shake hands and be buddy-buddy.. That's just not how things work even if it is what she'd like. The words that Elle had spoken to her not once have left the musicians mind, and yet.. She refuses to be anything but gentle in tone. She observes the pairs reactions for a moment, processes it in her own way, and her slightly serious expression slides into a rather pleased smile. "Every one of you girls have limitless talent, whether it be physical strength or mental capability. I understand it's been a while, Miss Beart, but I haven't gone senile just yet. What I see has yet to be found 'uninteresting', wouldn't you agree?"
Yurika looks then to Aislinn. "You may be thinking the same, there's no doubt there is quite a personality clash here.. However there is no doubt in my mind that should you two work togeather you'd be an extremely powerful team. And that is what our council is about. Power. Perhaps not absolute, but power. In short time I will try to start setting things in motion, it's come to my attention that the other schools are starting to grow more active. I wish to disrupt any sort of progress that would increase their strength, but that is for another time. The current problem is the return of a problem student."
Yurika takes out a manilla folder from the drawer. She doesn't open it, but instead sets it on the desk with her hand resting atop it. She's waiting for the reactions of her previous 'speech' before she continues, of course.
People are people; it's no surprise that Aislinn and Ninon should not be getting along. Aislinn just doesn't get along with most people, compatriots included; at best she is neutral to most. Yurika occupies one of those special positions, though Aislinn hardly shows it, outwardly. Ninon gets another look... dismissive, if not haughty. She'll work with the girl, as she promised Yurika she would.
But she won't be friendly about it. She's got no reason to. The manila envelope is stared at, for a bit, as if she could look under the paper and read it without the envelope opening. A problem student, mmm? Her eyes turn to Yurika.
"An assassination?" she asks, her voice lilting just enough to indicate a question.
The dark-clad American eyes the envelope in silence for a moment before tilting her eyes torwards her new-found partner. "So, you are capable of speech. I was beginning to wonder." Her voice carries more of an amused tone then anything else. Despite her attitude, she really isn't trying to start anything with Aislinn. At least not here. Perhaps in the future she will test her as she did the last person Yurika claimed was good enough for the group. Ingrid had not proven to be a disappointment in the combat department, at least.
"However, I rather imagine it is no assassination. Unless, perhaps, you have a darker heart then I suspect, Yurika Kirishima. The way I see it is this. This student, they are a problem. Perhaps I should not assume no much, but I assume they are a problem because you think they could hinder your plans. If they have the ability to hinder your plans, then they are probably not a weak person. This leaves us with one option, to remove their ability to be a problem. I see two manners this could happen. The first and most profitable would be to simple integrate them into our ranks. This, assumes, of course that they could prove themselves trusthworthy." The second is to remove them as a student. Though I care little for the precious rules this place clings to, I do recognize that they have their uses, as tools if nothing more. Failing this, there is always the option Miss Doyle mentioned. It should be the last resort I would say. Finding a way to dispose of a corpse is a bit more trouble then it is to simple dispose of a few pieces of paperwork." A moment's silence. "Unless, of course, I am merely assuming too much. Perhaps it would be best were you to tell us of this person that strikes such fear into your heart."
Somehow, someway, Yurika did not see Aislinn's reaction coming. She stares at the violet-haired girl a moment and then .. Well she actually chuckles lightly, doing her best to hide her smidge of disturbance, "Ninon is correct that would certainly be a.. Final resort. If it even came to that. And your theory isn't entirely correct, but it's close.. The student in question is this girl."
Maybe Aislinn actually saw it already, but it is a picture as well as some school-related information on a bluehaired girl with a headband, dressed in a white top and hakama pants. "Kasumi Todoh, of the Todoh-Ryu style. Because of her I nearly lost the elections, it was only thanks to Zaki that I had managed to pull a victory. I simply had no idea this girl has so much social influence. Much time has passed, I'm uncertain if she still opposes me, if she is it will be a threat to my plans even if we are doubling as a secret organization she's unaware of. As embarassing as it is to admit this, I simply have no desire to have her join my ranks. Removing her from the school would be a harsh move, but if necessary, I will deploy such a plan. My original plan, however, is to demolish her reputation as much as possible."
Todoh... Todoh. Aislinn raises an eyebrow. Destroy her reputation? That is a social matter, not something that Aislinn is really adept at. She is an assassin, not a character assassin. She might seem infinitesimally disappointed, but not too much so. Besides.. she's a Todoh! They don't have a character to assassinate. A frown crosses her lips, briefly, as she considers this problem.
"This is an impossible mission," she says, briefly, after making her assessments, her lavender eyes fixed on Yurika. "The Todoh family is already well-known for their..." Pause.
"Their eccentricity." She has no other words for it.
Though Ninon's own family is not nearly as well known, if it was, it would likely be known for similiar reasons. What else could someone make of it when the two members of the Beart family that have made themselves public are Mignon and Ninon? There isn't a normal bone in either of those girl's body. This does, however, leave her with a bit of knowledge of what it means to be among the eccentric. "You lack vision." The black-garbed girl sounds slightly disappointed. "Clearly, the fact that she is considered eccentric didn't hold her back when it came to the election that Yurika is talking about. So the fact that she is an atypical person is not what needs to be proved at all. What needs to be proved is that she is not a trustworthy person, that she never deserved to be in the running to begin with. I will need to know more about her before I can begin to devise ways to discredit her. But when it comes to being vindictive, I am in my area of expertise. If I need your assitence in this I shall let you know, Aislinn Doyle."
Yurika gives Aislinn just as questioning a look in return. "I.. Have heard about the father, if you and I are talking about the same person. From what I have understood, she is quite popular within the combative clubs of our school and is looked up to." she frowns. "Perhaps another evaluation is in order, but I'm certain I am not making a mistake. You probably wonder what I need you for, Aislinn and it's actually quite simple."
Yurika smiles a bit more as she gives a nod of her head. "I wish for you to challenge her at her next clubs meeting. Feel free to defeat her lesser classmates to get her attention if she refuses, I will be able to cover for you." The musician looks to Kasumi, "You misunderstand, Miss Todoh was not in the running herself.. She wanted my opposition to win. I do not know if she still feels this way, but it is not something I want to 'let go' as it were. As you can see, in this particular scenario you two will not need to work togeather. No, that exercise will come at a later date. Aislinn, if you can manage to damage her fighting credibility, or the ability to defend her friends, that would be extremely helpful. Ninon, I will give you these files, but I strongly suggest you meet her yourself and formulate your own opinion. You have a headstrong personality and I believe you can squeeze a weakness out of her, I'm certain she'd be suspicious if I approached her with any mind games."
It's true; Aislinn doesn't have any sort of eye for this sort of thing. She shrugs, content to leave the issue of character assassination to Ninon. Her help will, she hopes, not be terribly interested in what the gothloli plan is. She accepts Ninon's rebuke with aplomb, because... what Yurika has planned is more interesting to her. She is, all in all, a combat fiend of sorts, and so the more straightforward proposition that Yurika gives her...
"Discredit her fighting skills..." Interesting. It's possibly the first time Ninon's heard an interested tone in Aislinn's voice. And to fight her at the clubs... or... hmm. "I believe I have a workable idea," she says. No elaboration, because this is strictly need-to-know... and both Ninon and Yurika need plausible deniability.
As for Ninon, though she loves to show off her combat talents, she loves to show off period, so the thought of being the one to take down the girl's reputation is just as pleasing to her as the thought of snapping her bones. As long as she is able to show off superiority, then it will be a task worth undertaking. "Very well. I trust you'll be able to handle that task, then. I do not wish to have to bail you out of danger. If Yurika trusts you, then you cannot be horribly weak. Try and not prove me wrong. As for me, my task shall require a bit more time. I do not yet know this person, and defeating a person's reputation requires a different sort of finese then merely breaking their face. Though I suspect my task will be that much easier if Aislinn's succeeds first."
[OOC] Yurika will need to leave work soon so will give a closing pose after Ninon.
[OOC] Ninon says, "Sorry for sorta crapping out as we went along, friend came over for a bit."
[OOC] Yurika ohs! She didn't really notice for obvious reasons.
[OOC] Ninon says, "My natural amazingness, no doubt."
[OOC] Aislinn okie.
Well, it's not an assassination, and it certainly isn't a huge task, but Yurika had a feelign Aislinn would not be disappointed with the given request. Still, she couldn't discredit Aislinns thoughts so quickly, Yurika would be sure to keep an ear open herself for any changes.. Things like that aren't uncommon after all. Yurika hides the cringe when Ninon speaks extremely well.. She had been on the recieving end of that kind of talk quite a bit, she was fairly sure, however, that Aislinn simply could not be egged so easily, even if it is unintentional in a very.. Um.. unique sort of way that only Ninon can do. "Yes, I understand what you're saying quite well. I will not rush the process, and time is not that short. In due time I will move onto a larger scale purpose, but I must make sure that things will go perfectly for us. Very well then.."
The envelope is handed to Ninon with a small smile. "Thank you both very much for attending today. As usual, feel free to speak to me about any concerns if they come up, and I will assist the best that I can. Until next time, ladies."
