Description: When Hinata meets up with Roberto after school in the lunch room and he talks about being a bit rusty when it comes to fighting, Hinata offers to help him get back in the game. He then proceeds to beat the tar out of Hinata.
It was close to the end of school and Roberto's lunch period happened to be the last period of classes. For most this would mean that they would be allowed to leave early. Roberto normally wouldn't have that option, what with soccer in the fall, indoor soccer in the Winter, and Spring soccer leagues in the Spring but it was the time of the year where indoor soccer season had closed and the Spring league hadn't kicked into gear yet.
Why was he still here? He still had friends from his soccer team who stuck around and it became habit for them to just hang out before the end of school. Plus there would be too much time to kill before he had to go pick up his little brothers from school anyway.
After a few moments the bell rings signalling the end of classes for the day.
And when that bell goes off, Hinata is blasting out of her classroom like a shot! Down the halls she races, onward toward the front of the school and after that she'll be off like a flash toward the cake shop and delicious after school fun!
At least that was the plan until she was zooming past the cafeteria and managed to spot a distinctive visor out of the corner of her eye and come skidding to a halt in a matter of feet. It's amazing there's no smoke. Then her course changes to pull her back toward the cafeteria, eyes bright and full of her usual cheer as she rushes through the minor crowds toward Roberto in a less than direct path that ends up leading her over the tops of some tables. While perched on on top of a table about halfway toward the soccer ace, the girl cups her hands and bellows out, "Hey, Roberto!"
There's no smoke but there's a loud squeak of rubber to floor that indicates the coming of the Sunshine Girl. He turns towards noise and watches as Hinata darts this way and that as she moves to close the distance, his lips curling into a somewhat amused smile.
When Hinata finally leaps up on the table and bellows his name, he laughs a bit turning to his team mates and giving them a nod before he moves to meet Hinata half-way. "Hinata! What's going on? You aren't heading to the cake store, yet?" A little joke at her expense but it's all in good humor.
Seeing Roberto start to make his way over toward her, Hinata ends up keeping her position on the table at first, seeming not to have noticed all the stare she is getting. "Well it takes everyone else so long to get there that I've got some time to wait. Besides, I haven't had a chance to talk to you for awhile, have I?"
Finally she hops her way down off of the table to stand next to Roberto, giving him a big grin as she brings her hand in to clap him quite hard across the bag in her usual greeting, "How have you been? I mean, aside from being awesome in all of your games."

Roberto stumbles forwards almost comically when Hinata's hand impacts with his back. He's quick to regain his balance before he answers Hinata's question. "Well, the family is good. And trying to keep myself busy while waiting for the Spring Leagues to start." He pauses for a moment while he thinks of what else has been going on. "Chased a thief off the school grounds."
It looks like he's about to say something else but then he stops. He'll be damned before he mentions the fact that he owes Yurika a favor in such a public place.
Hinata's grin spreads out even wider as she hears about the thief, "Oh wow! That's so cool. Did you kick your soccer ball at them in the back of the head as they were running off so that you could capture them or did they get away? Do you know what they were trying to steal?" Her enthusiasm seems to be bubbling over all of this, although it's not especially different from normal.
Roberto shakes his head and sighs. It's somewhat concerning if people didn't see Ayame's pictures even after the effort he went through to make them public. "You mean you didn't see her picture around school?" His hands drop to his side and lets out a bit of air in a slow hiss. "And after all the trouble I went through to make sure that every student knew what she looked like to make it harder to work our school again."
At this point Roberto realizes that he hadn't answered all of Hinata's questions. "She stole jewelry, money, whatever she could get her grubby mits on."
Hinata starts to frown a bit as she reaches up to tap her hand on her forehead, quite clearly thinking this over, "Pictures? ...Oh, is that what that was about? I saw a bunch of pictures of someone, but I didn't bother reading them because I was too busy talking to people. And then I had to run to class because I was going to be late." That really does sound like classic Hinata.
Then she brightens back up again, because it's hard to stay down too long when you're as full of energy is Hinata is. "Did you manage to recover the things she stole?"
"I did. Saw her up to no good in the mall sometime after. She got away when I saw her at the mall. But the experience made me realize that I haven't been fighting enough lately and I'm suffering from severe ring rust." Roberto's hands go upwards as he gives Hinata a shrug. "I haven't been making many appearances in fight circuits, and I think it'll bite me in the butt if I don't do something about it."
Roberto's neck pops loudly echoing in the cafeteria as he tilts his neck. "So what do you say? Shall we let the festivities begin?"
Hinata suddenly seems to grow even brighter, if that's even possible, at the hint of a challenge for a fight. "I'm more than happy to kick any rust off of you, Roberto. We can't have the students of Taiyo not keeping up on proper techniques, now can we?"
In a flash Hinata kicks up off of the ground into a midair backflip to land on top of one of the nearby tables, pulling herself up into her fighting stance and starting to bounce back and forth, full of energy. "Alright then, let's go!"

Roberto's preparations are a bit more deliberate than Hinata's own. First he slides the backpack off of his shoulders and reaches into it pulling out a pair of red goalie gloves and sliding them onto his hands. After flexing both hands for a bit he take his own approach onto the same table with a dive roll.
When he's back on his feet he takes on the stance that looks like a goalie waiting for a penalty shot before taking the initiative, starting with a feeler hand swats and then coming in with a quick grab to pick her up before sending her down to the ground on her back and following with a kick to her legs.

As Roberto comes in at her, Hinata is rather quick to try to leap up and out of the way, but it would seem that she wasn't quite as ready as she looked, Roberto's hand easily snake around her leg and all her motion serves to do is throw off his aim, causing him to slam her down through the table, breaking it in half before she crashes onto the floor to be kicked.
It takes Hinata a little bit to get back to her feet in a slightly slumped, low stance while shaking her head, "I thought you said you were rusty. I guess you're doing better than you thought." Even before she finishes speaking, she rushing forward, kicking herself up off the ground as her hand suddenly explodes with flaming chi. The rising uppercut seems poised to take Roberto straight in the jaw.

Roberto did not have slamming Hinata down through the table in mind when he devised the move, nor making that impact so powerful when he did so. He did so with the intent of feeling Hinata out. He had never fought her before and he personally elected to refrain from using his soccer balls to avoid damaging school property. So much for that.
Roberto still is fighting a careful fight and while he's certain he could easily slip around the fiery uppercut he chooses to deflect the punch in one hand while cocking his fist back to punch Hinata in the stomach the moment she lands. "How about we keep the rest of this fight to the floor? I want to avoid wrecking any more tables and I definitely don't want to have to explain this to Kyosuke."

While trying to take an opponent out before they can even touch the ground is often a good plan, Hinata suddenly seems to drop down toward the floor a lot faster than should be possible with a surge of energy, then immediately kicks off toward the side, letting the punch fly clear off toward the side.
"I suppose that would be a good idea, Kyosuke is pretty open about slapping people with detention... and detention means I'd have to wait longer to get cake after class." It seems to be a rather casual fight from all the conversation, but that doesn't slow Hinata any as she whips her leg up into the air, aimed right for the back of Roberto's head.

Roberto quickly spins around with the momentum of his punch as he moves to watch as Hinata moves to offer her response both verbal and physical. When the leg comes up for the Soccer Star's head he brings a pair of fists to knock the kick aside as if he were deflecting a soccer ball.
"If you were so concerned about cake, you wouldn't be here right now." With that, the Star Striker swings a leg at Hinata's support leg hoping to take her off her feet before the kicking leg hits the ground.

That block does a wonderful job of throwing Hinata off balance, leaving her wide open as his leg comes in down below, and swiping it out from under her, once more sending the energetic girl flat on her back with a loud grunt.
However even getting dropped like that certainly doesn't seem like enough to keep the girl down, in a flash she's back on her feet, "Well cake is important, but so are friends. And fighting is also very important, I have to stay in shape, don't I?" The sunshine girl then makes a surge forward, her arms aiming to plant flat on Roberto's shoulders, allowing her leverage to kick up off of the ground, putting all her weight on him, then pound her feet into the back of his head before leaping away over his back.

As Hinata plants her hands on the soccer star's shoulders. He's absolutely confused as to what the Sunshine Girl is doing. As an insurance policy, he brings up his hands to guard against impacts against both his face and torso neither come.
Hinata completely clears the soccer star and she's behind him. This puts Hinata in the perfect place for the Taiyo Star perform a backflip slamming a foot down on his Bubbly opponent's shoulder. While in the air, Roberto still gets kicked in the chest before landing face down on the ground Hinata seeming to get the worst of the trade. That's not to say it didn't hurt Roberto too. "Ouch." Because it did.
It's obvious to Hinata the moment her feet hit that the hit isn't clean, but it catches her completely by surprise as she finds her shoulder getting smacked down by the kick, knocking her down toward her knee rather roughtly. She certainly hasn't been having the best match.
Regardless of any trouble, though, she's quick to get back to her feet, spinning around on one heel as she rises and bringing up her foot at the same time, the quick tornado kick aimed straight for Roberto's stomach. "You're doing real good for saying that you were rusty!"

Roberto hops backwards and then spins around the mini tornado kick to move to Hinata's flank. One could imagine the soccer player dribbling a ball as he moves around her. In fact the mechanics are quite similar.
It's become quite obvious to him that he's in an unexplainable groove right now and even his risks are paying off, perhaps more than they ought to. "I know I wasn't moving like this in my last fight. When I figure out what's going on, I'll get back to you."
And in order to figure that out he throws out a highly telegraphed kick to the girl's body and would be surprised if it actually landed true.

Sometimes the fates are just against you.
Sometimes everything is clearly not going you way.
This is how things are going for Hinata right now.
As that so obvious kick comes flying in, Hinata drops down slightly, and then just as he's most open launches out with a powerful kick only to find... that she's standing on her shoe lace. This sends her falling over backward and completely off balance as the kick is coming in... and it hits solid, sending the girl flying right through a table, bouncing across the top before slamming into another one and sending it skidding a good half dozen feet across the floor before it hits another table and manages to stop.
Roberto knows something is up at this point. And he can identify with the situation Hinata is in. He's been on the opposite end of it when fighting Hotaru in their Neo League match. Every fiber of his being screams that this isn't right.
This is why moment he recoils from the kick he stands there motionless for a long time. A stunned silence comes over him before he finally says something, "Uh, Hinata. How about we call this match and get some cake?"
And then he looks at the other fighter hoping that she doesn't take insult at his suggestion. He knows that often a fighter's pride is a sensitive thing.
When no attack comes flying in at her, Hinata slides down off of the table and lands on all fours on the floor, groaning a bit and certainly looking fairly battered by it all. She pushes herself back up to her feet with much less energy than usual and starts to shake out her head.
Finally, once her head's cleared up, she turns toward Roberto and gives him a bit of a smile, "I think that might be a good choice. I don't seem to be so lucky in fights lately. Just the other day I was fighting Alma, the guy from the YFCC, and he accidently burned off my school uniform. He was really really embaressed by it, but he agreed to buy me a new one and he's going to take me out for cake sometime so it's all okay." By this time her face has brightened up quite a bit, back to its normal expression.

"Trust me, I know the feeling." His goalie gloves are quickly removed and returned to their place in his backpack before he slings it over his shoulder. After that he glances to the exit and then to the broken table before handing the Sunshine Girl some money. "Hinata, go ahead. I'll catch up. I have some clean up to take care of."
After clean up is done he intends to make himself scarce and then face the music in the morning. After all, it was his attack, accident or not that broke the table.
