Guy - Guy x Drake, Cash Battle

Description: Domino's looking for a bit more cash to clean up his life, and he's taking on all challengers! Can Guy, Metro City's resident ninja hero, give the challenger a good fight? Or will Domino's brand of wrestling and martial arts outfight the Bushinryu Ninpo school? (Winner: Guy)

The Holiday Inn saw some pretty decent action last night. Pretty decent, indeed. A billed street fight, full of explosive turn-arounds and hard-hitting action, electrified the locals of Metro City. And money was made by all. Except some of the fans, maybe. But the fighters got paid, at any rate. And that was precisely Domino's plan. Flying halfway 'round the world takes money, even when you own your own jet. Unfortunately, that fight by itself didn't cover the costs. He'll have to stage another one. And while the thought of rematching Chae Lim crossed his mind, in the end it just seemed as though the audience wouldn't get into that so much.

So the announcement was made to the audience to spread the word that Domino's looking for a new challenger. Someone with some good experience behind'em. I.E., someone who'll hopefully be enough of a challenge that it'll entertain the audience, get some good betting circulation, and make for some good training before he takes off. And so those who watched the Holiday Inn fight have spread near and far all over Metro City looking for someone suitable to pit against the male model wrestling martial artist.

As for the stage? Well, it's in Metro Square. What better place to hold something of this calibur, right? The squared area in the center has been roped off with hemp, and the corners are secured with tall posts. Kind've shabby, compared to the setup Domino had going at the inn, but still. There's a pretty sizable crowd present, as those who watched last night's fight decided to tell friends, and... well... it's crowded. Domino is already in the ring, robe bound about his torso with the hood left back. He hangs over the edge of the top ropes, shaking hands of fans, carrying light conversation, signing autographs, getting random hugs from over-zealous females... the usual 'bond with your peeps' thing.

But for now? For now they're waiting on someone to show up and accept the challenge.

Of course, the crowd going around the ring knows who they'd love to see. The hometowners want to see either Mike Haggar or one of his old friends. Metro City loves its heroes, and when Mad Gear was decimated, its destroyers were lauded as the greatest fighters in the area. So, more than a few people are really hoping that one of their natives shows up.

They get their wish. With hardly any notice, a certain ninja can be seen leaping into the ring, his familiar jump, a fully-tucked somersault, making the crowds cheer louder than anyone could ever expect. Not unlike a certain, famous wrestling program, people start to chant one of two things. "Guy! Guy! Guy!" or "You *BLEEP*ed up!" at Domino.

Guy stands in one corner of the ring, arms folded to his chest. He's looking down his nose somewhat at Domino, but most folks know that this is merely how he looks at folks. Should Domino turn around and acknowledge this fight, Guy is prepared to bow in respect. More than a few women are swooning over in his corner, but you can definately pick the Metro City natives out from the visitors: every single Metro City citizen is on their feet, screaming their cheers at Guy.

Domino just continues to fraternize with the audience, right up until he feels the stage reverberate lightly. That and the pop from the audience is a bit indicative of someone's arrival. He turns around to face his challenger, and upon seeing him? He looks a little stunned. Nervous? No. Frightened? Nuh-uh. Just stunned. It's Guy, after all. Domino knows of him and his exploits, and truth be told, he'd always wanted to meet the people that wiped out Mad Gear. Preferrably on social terms, but he didn't get that opportunity when he fought the mayor, and he doesn't seem to be getting that convenience this time with Guy, either.

Ah well. He wanted someone with a big name to show up, and he did. That's good. But daggum, how the audience can turn on someone! At the chanting, Domino just gives a dirty, insulted look, then regards Guy again before approaching him.

"Nice of someone to show up," Domino greets amiably, voice elevated just enough to be heard over the audience.

Fighters are well familiar with Ring Conversation Syndrome. It's this odd thing that occurs, whereby two fighters in a ring can always seem to hear each other talk, regardless of the din outside of it. Guy hears Domino's words perfectly, and the Japanese man can't help but smile at Domino's look to the audience. After he speaks, Guy responds as well, in a calm voice that radiates focus.

"Do not be too upset. I happen to have home field advantage, that is all." Checking his wrist and leg wraps, Guy does a simple stretch or two before stepping closer to the ring's center and getting ready. "Fight for yourself, and ignore the crowd." And, with that, Guy falls into his fighting stance, focusing on the task at hand.

"True 'nuff," submits Domino, still sounding pretty chipper about everything. Sure, the audience went and bit him with their chanting, but he may yet turn things around! It's something Domino loves doing. Getting the support of the fans and all that. Makes fighting fun. "Don't worry about my focus. I've got an agenda."

But Guy seems ready to go now, and this time they're lacking an announcer to call out names. As if that'd even be necessary, what with the two fighters present. So he saunters to the edge of the ring, sheds his robe, and tosses it by one of the posts so it doesn't get damaged. And then?

Well, then the fight starts. Domino starts approaching Guy, inclining his head and giving him a look to let him know things are now underway. And then Domino is dashing towards his opponent, attempting to grab him by the right arm at the elbow and the wrist to quickly and suddenly wrench it around behind his back. Something just to start the fight off and chain into other maneuvers, but still potentially damaging and Domino's none-too-gentle about it, either.

It's a good thing that Guy was limber before arriving, or this thing would really do some damage. The arm is taken around his back, and while it does hurt, it's not enough to be concerned. Instead, Guy decides that turnabout is fair play. Crouching, he leaps up and back over Domino, preventing further pressing. The maneuver wrenches his arm out of Domino's grasp, and we're back to even footing.

Guy isn't done yet, though. Two can play the throwing game, and it's Guy's turn to reach out with HIS arm, completely mimicking the submission hold-style of his opponent, grabbing his arm at the elbow and attempting to wrench it up the young man's back.

Domino was expecting a little more yield to the hold, but Guy proves to be a little more slippery. And the evasive maneuvering is very much akin to his own! How 'bout that? But at the same time, the hold is reversed in an instant, and HARD, getting a yelp from the wrestler. He struggles a moment against the hold, and finally twists and wrenches himself free. Spinning over to face Guy on one foot, both of Domino's hands chamber at his sides. When he's facing him again, he suddenly drops into a deep frontal stance on the right leg, both hands rocketing out for Guy's midsection in a double palmheel strike. But that isn't all that happens. The moment his arms are fully extended, his hands ignite in a bright, dazzling flash of white concussive energy, ideally to blast his opponent back.

Well, it's clear that Guy wasn't as prepared for his maneuver to work as efficiently as it did. He had intended it to be disruptive to Domino's clarity, seeing his move executed right back at him. Still, the yelp causes Guy to smile, in that Good-Shot! way, but as the young man spins, Guy's muscles react as well, knowing that there's something bad coming.

His effort earns him a good look at Domino's Whiteout attack. The move clips both of his legs, an action that makes the ninja wince with pain. Ouch. Evasion isn't supposed to do that. As the ninja lands, however, he decides to keep it cool. Testing his opponent, he hops back on one leg and shoots the other one out quickly, the simplest of kicks, but the theory behind it is possibly more destructive.

The energy bleeds off of Domino's hands and he raises back into his stance just a second before a foot is suddenly flung towards him. It strikes true enough, knocking the wrestler martial artist back a couple feet, dazed. Holy crap, that was fast. But Domino quickly regains his senses and narrows his eyes on his opponent.

Suddenly, Domino is springing into the air, twisting over upside-down in a pirouette and aiming to descend behind Guy's back. As he falls rightside-up again, his arms suddenly lash out to attempt hooking around Guy's neck, applying as much force as he would a bearhug. Since that's what the Blackout hold usually is. But in this case, a little relocation for added 'oomph' seems necessary.

Tracking the young man's movement, Guy thinks of a certain maneuver in his own arsenal. Irony is not lost on this ninja. Knowing the limitations of his own maneuvers, though, provides a keen insight into defending against them, simply from knowing one's limitations and weaknesses. So, when Domino's arms are about to link around Guy's frame, he's simply gone. A duck and roll towards the closest turnbuckle, and that's all that he needed.

Deciding to spice up the show a bit, for Guy knows that the crowd is dying to see some of their favorite moves, he leaps onto the turnbuckle and twists, pivoting right around to face Domino again. In an instant, he leaps into the air, a familiar sight to all as it is the same jump that brought him into the ring. Once he is behind Domino, he reacts in much the same way: reaching out with arms to grab the young man. However, his maneuver is a bit classier, and potentially more damaging: if grabbed, Domino's getting flipped over Guy's body to slam into the canvas.

Domino lands neatly on the ground, even without grasping a person. Well, this is just getting more and more atrocious for him, isn't it? He's yet to even effectively land a blow on him! So he keeps his eyes on Guy as he's perched on one of the posts, peering at him... and he expects a frontal assault, for some reason.

Silly Domino. Ninjas attack from behind.

He's grabbed, surprised, and slammed down with yet another wince. He rolls with the blow though, tumbling over to a post, himself. He springs up atop the post, turned out to the audience. He quickly thrusts his right fist into the air, and then immediately is airborne in a double backflip. On the second rotation, his body unfurls, aiming to collide his torso against Guy's in a high-flying moonsault. Typically a finisher for Domino, and with any luck, it'll be sufficient to take Guy down.

Seeing Domino coming at him in a moonsault fashion is indeed an imposing sight. Guy decides to take a gamble, raising his arms up in a defense. Perhaps he has a plan, or thinks that he can avert most of the damage in this fashion. In any event, it doesn't work, with the young man sending Guy to the canvas. Were this an actual wrestling match, he might get a one count before Guy rolls out from under the press and leaps to his feet.

There's a bit more respect on Guy's face for his opponent, but not much, and it's only there if you know where to look. A quick contemplation of things, and Guy decides to see what his opponent will do next. There's no telling what that might be, but Guy has chosen to wait. Reaction may be better than action at this point.

Domino was, however, not going for a pin. Though it's true, that slam usually leads right into one, and one that typically ends a match. Not many people get up after that hit. But still, Domino kips up to his feet to eye Guy again. At least he made contact with his opponent this time, and it's caused him some pause.

An opening, perhaps?

Domino is suddenly dashing in again, though at the last moment, he weaves low and to the side, attempting to take Guy's legs out from under him. If successful, he sets his right foot to Guy's back, holding Guy's right leg behind his back and wrenching it towards his head in a boston crab hold.

-There-. Like the twinkle of a star, Guy's mind reacts at just the right moment. As Drake goes low and to the side, Guy simply leaps forward. Tucking over the acting young man and rolling over his frame, Guy springs to his feet after the dodge and turns quickly, putting him in line with Domino's view. The crowd is going nuts, simply because of the flashy moves of the fight. Already, the promoters are seeing a marked increase in bets, for while Guy's attacks seem to be much more damaging, Domino's attacks play up to the crowd more, and the bets are increasing.

Guy decides to keep it simple, but rather than react with speed, he's going to go for something a bit flashier. Springing up, he twirls in the air and shoots a foot out at his opponent, a kick that has been practiced and refined on several dozen oil barrels, Mad Gear grunts, and training dojos across the world. It's not quick, but it is flashy and it is painful.

Domino is thusly tumbled upon. This knocks his balance a little askew, needless to say, but he quickly regains it and whirls to face Guy again. When his opponent takes to the air, Domino's amethyst eyes narrow on him. The spin is noted, and the foot leads in exactly how he would expect. Body reacts as though it were springloaded, first evading the kick by dipping under it, then shooting both hands up to push on the extended leg and knock Guy's assault horribly off-kilter.

Capitalizing on the opportunity, Domino blurs over the short distance to grab his opponent by the shoulders and lock his head between his legs. His arms then go to hook around Guy's midsection to haul him up into the air, in piledriver position, right arm lifted to signal the audience...

Guy is sent off-kilter, rolling to one side, and as he comes up, his eyes spot the blur of Domino's run. Purely reacting on muscle memory, Guy jumps straight up again, allowing Domino to pass under him. The crowd goes nuts at this point, because Domino actually manages to brush the ninja's feet. His leap is perverted by this brush, and Guy falls at an odd angle, necessitating a roll-up to avoid damage. Back to his feet quickly.

The ninja smiles, nodding his head in respect for Domino. "I can appreciate your speed and technique, fighter." A noble respectful sentiment, offered from the ninja, is something rarely offered. Apparently, Guy has no further action. He's standing there, in his pose, watching his opponent with those Japanese eyes of his...

Domino fails to bring the springy opponent down, and the built-up momentum bleeds off in a small stagger. And this time, Domino actually curses under his breath. He whirls around to face Guy again, eyes still narrowed and critical. This isn't because he's angry, or because he has a particular dislike for Guy. Hell, anyone sane would try to get out of the way of the Total Eclipse. Not that he could probably tell that's what he intended, but still. No, the strong, silent attitude is simply the way Domino becomes when fighting someone. Ask any fan of Domino's. It's his dark side.

So Guy gets no response, other than a pressed assault. Domino dashes in towards his opponent and springs into the air himself, this time. his body twists over, and he throws a sharp hook kick off the right leg aimed for Guy's head.

As the attack comes in, Guy takes another measure of estimation from the young man, thinking that a block will suffice against his attack. Wincing, Guy takes far more damage than he believed that he would. However, the glimmer in his eye betrays that this was all a ruse. A ploy, to get Domino close enough... but for what?
That's what. The crowd roars as a familiar maneuver is begun. Guy leaps slightly, throwing out a upper right cross at Domino. If this attack connects, Domino will be sent into the air, where a series of four punches and kicks, each powerful in their own right, will pummel the young man, before a roundhouse kick to the stomach will slam him into the canvas.

Domino catches the glint in the air, and logic says that a counter attack is eminent. The cross attack strikes, but along both of the agile fighter's forearms. It still has enough force to jolt him off the ground, however. Each punch and kick is met with a precise, crisp block as well, and each one gets Domino to grit his teeth a little tighter from the impacted pain that shoots along his arms. The final roundhouse kick is blocked with Domino's knee, and he lands in something of a crouch, looking rather worn down. Yes, even though the strikes were blocked, it's taken a lot out of him.

Still though. There's more to Domino yet. He takes to the air again in a backflip, getting a little distance from Guy, both arms extended. Around his right hand, white energy begins to gather. Around the left, black energy. Once he's reached the pinnacle of his leap, he unfurls from the backflip and thrusts both palms out together. The gathered energy discharges in two brilliant beams, a sparkling white beam from his right hand, and a shimmering black beam from the left. The two thick beams coil together in a double helix pattern, forming a large, ongoing ray of concussive energy. The force of the joint beam attack is enough to keep Domino aloft in the air, sustaining the stream of energy for a good few seconds.

When the attack finishes, Guy lands in the ring opposite of Domino. The crowd is going absolutely nuts, and Domino can be assured that he's landing a fairly hefty paycheck on this fight. Guy takes the time to compose himself, a grin on his face, and he beckons the other fighter to come at him.

When the stream of gorgeous energy ends, Domino lands in a crouch panting. This guy moves crazy fast. It's.. almost amusing. Domino's fighting off a grin, himself, despite his situation. He pushes himself back to his feet and dashes towards his opponent again. He makes no pretenses about anything with this approach, as he simply aims to grab Guy by the shoulders, whirl around, andfling him hard towards the opposite ropes. No pretenses, but backed with great amounts of force, as the ropes will ideally spring Guy back at him. Though Domino will by that point be closing in to meet him center ring, to hop up, lock his legs around his neck, and twist over to smash the top of Guy's head against the ground soundly.

Noting this, Guy runs at Domino and throws a leg out in a kick to his gut. If this attack connects, Guy then uses the foot in Domino's gut as a plant, backflipping and kicking Domino again with his other foot. The double-hit backflip kick is something he began to develop not long before fighting in the Street Fighter tournaments.

But he has no memory of every chewing or -swallowing- the foot, so it probably just got assimilat- oh wait, he's doubled over. He got kicked!

And again. Hard.

This knocks Domino off his feet, landing him on the ground and prone. And he looks like he could be out. But sure enough, Domino is pushing himself back up to his feet slowly but surely, teeth grit again, amethyst eyes deadlocked onto Guy, looking unbalanced and only barely still in the fight.

But once on his wobbly legs again, Domino dashes at Guy and weaves around behind him. As the fist flies at his jaw, Guy braces himself, actively allowing the attack to hit. He aims this to accomplish two things. First, he really hopes that Domino will be intimidated by this action, something that the Japanese are fond of writing into their manga, to show him that his power doesn't compare to Guy's. Whether or not this is accomplished is unknown.
The second reason, however, is to get in line for what the crowd was calling for. They've wanted to see Guy's famous whirlwind kick, and they get to, as Guy jumps into the air and begins to spin. His right leg goes out, and there it is, the crowd screaming for joy as their hero performs his signature kick, something not unlike a certain Shotokan fighters' maneuver...

So Domino shifts back to the defensive, and right in time to see his opponent take to the air. As soon as a foot extends, Domino descends, cleanly evading the attack.

When Guy lands, Domino goes to weave around behind his back quickly, hopping up to lock his hands around Guy's throat. The very much ninja-like grab is defended with two arms, one blocking each of its counterparts on Domino. The knee is blocked by Guy moving foward, and the drop is simply evaded from the movement.
Turning to face his opponent, Guy backpeddles a bit, leaning against one of the ropes. A few sparse bits of laughter can be heard as Guy shakes his head. "That's very much like one of my throws." Guy grins. He's having fun, finally, and he takes a few moments to shrug off the tension of the fight.

Guy is completely not expecting the throw that comes, and he hits the canvas hard. It takes him more than a few moments to rise, and he's got a healthy amount of respect for his opponent at this point. All Guy can really do is stand there after getting up, trying to shake the cobwebs out from that rather nasty throw. The crowd is loving it, and there's more than a few people starting to chant Domino's name. Guy is ignoring all of this, attempting to compose himself after being positively wrecked.

People are... cheering... for Domino? When they were so adamant on Guy? That's about euphoric for the crowd-pleaser. It just about gives him a high. Adrenaline pumps a bit more, and the martial artist wrestler tries to press his assault more against his opponent while he has the opportunity. He steps forward and turns, thrusting out a sudden sidekick aimed for Guy's chest. Nothing fancy or anything, but hopefully it'll wear him down a bit more. His opponent seems remarkably resilient, so this seems necessary.

And just like that, Guy wakes up.
When Domino starts for him, the clarity of the fight blasts away the fogginess of the pain, and the kick comes for his chest. Guy reacts purely on muscle memory, slapping the foot away effortlessly. Guy looks down at his hands, and he can feel the Chi resonating within his body. Crouching, he puts his fists to his waist, and then thrusts both out, palms facing his opponent. Chi erupts from the hands, flying out at Domino. The blast itself is a ball of white with a rainbow trail. The rainbow behind the ball resonates of Pure Chi, the force of the world and everything in it.

Deflected though he may be, Domino whirls around to set back into his stance. Buzzing off adrenaline and a die-hard determination to leave a seriously long lasting impression not only on the audience but on Guy himself, Domino's reflexes sharpen and his mind focuses devoutly on his opponent's actions. The chi projectile is unexpected, however. Likely about as unexpected as the one blasted from Domino, himself, but the pumped reflexes carry him swiftly to the side and clear of the shot.

Domino averts his course to attempt whizzing in behind Guy again, this time back to back with him. His right arm reaches back to hook under Guy's jaw, and he drops forward to a knee, hoping to drag-toss him over to the ground.

Guy throws up a block, and while the grab does work, the drop goes awry and Guy is able to roll away with only a token amount of damage. He's reacting quickly though, rising as fast as he can and leaping at Drake with a flying fist. The crowd loves the change of pace, from measured strikes by Guy to more of the speed that the ninja is normally used to showing off.

Domino uses the ropes to pull himself back up to his feet again. Wobbly, unbalanced, and hurting though the fighter may be, he's gonna work this fight as hard as he humanly can. Guy's returned assault is evaded cleanly as Domino dips to the side and staggers out of the way quickly. Having dodged the blow, Domino twists around in a half-circle and launches a reverse knifehand strike towards the base of Guy's neck.

Speed is the name of the day. As soon as Guy's attack misses, he's in motion, diving to one side under the knife-edge chop. Springing to his feet, he throws another leap backwards, flipping to the other side of the ring. Once on his feet there, he springs off of the ropes and sprints at Domino. It's his turn to be a blur, and as he leaps again, attacking with a heel-drop kick, the crowd goes nuts. Apparently, this is another famous move of his.

And Domino seems to be keeping pace with the ninja, shifting aside suddenly to evade the heel-drop. With Domino's body pained and hurting as it is, it seems that he's thriving on determination to win. The very same sort of stoic determination that earned him his light side/dark side gimmick in the first place, and served him well in fights past - even in Thailand. A sort of determination he'd drifted away from of late.

But it seems it's finally come back to him, and Domino is going to ride it as long as he can.

Attempting to close on an opening and change things up a little with his opponent, Domino goes to hook his right arm under Guy's left leg. His left arm goes to hook over Guy's right shoulder. Pushing with what strength he can muster, Domino springs into the air backwards to twist the two over, aiming to bring Guy down hard on his back and powerslam his torso across him.

Action. Reaction. Muscle memory is a theory predicated on the muscles reacting from the brain's commands faster than the coherent thought of the mind's conscious self. It takes the pinnacles of training to maintain a level of effectiveness that allows this to be a viable tactic. It is this that saves Guy from Domino's attack.
The ninja uses the outstretched arm as a pivot point, snaking around the arm and sliding underneath Domino. The expected sneak attack does not come, however, as Guy's feet hook the bottom rope. Leg muscles constrict and pull Guy closer, and the ninja climbs up the ropes to regain footing. Turning to face Domino, his face is as focused as his opponent's...
...and the ninja waits.

Domino tries to keep ahold of Guy for the powerslam, but he snakes his way free, leaving Domino to stagger about kind've clumsily. He gives his head a quick shake, sending droplets of sweat hither and thither. When his eyes refocus, he sees that Guy is standing once more, and by the ropes. Worn down and exhausted as he is, Domino tries something a little different. Different, but blunt. He hops into the air and curls himself into a ball, only to thrust both feet out to slam his opponent's torso in a dropkick. Hopefully hard enough to not only hurt like mad, but also to blast him out of the ring.

It takes a simple sidestep to dodge Domino's attack, and as he does, Guy notices the sweat on the young man's brow. He steps away further, and in a way that only the two of them can hear, he speaks. "Take a second to compose yourself, my foe. You fight well, and hard, but this crowd isn't ready to see it end." None of this is spoken in derision. Rather, there's a healthy dose of respect from Guy for this fighter, and Guy lets it show that he's a bit tired as well.

Domino lands flat on his back, as dropkicks tend to do to someone, but he's rolling away to push himself back up soon enough. He wobbles a little as Guy talks, and his response is a shake of his head. Domino knows his body well enough, and he knows when it's about to give way. The fact that he's pushed himself this hard for this long has to be a sign of improvement... but he can still feel the symptoms. Trying to take a breather now would make little difference for him. In a sense, he's too far gone.

So the assault continues. Domino attempts to grab ahold of Guy and fling him against the nearby post, and immediately afterwards throw himself in a shoulderblock against his torso.

Domino is still in close quarters when Guy tries to flip him over, so forget evading the grapple completely. He's successfully caught, and it looks like he's going to be flung over - except as he's rolling over the hip to be tossed, Domino wrenches free to land on his feet right beside Guy. Using this moment of what he hopes is surprise, he attempts to grab ahold of Guy's wrists. If caught, he twists them around behind Guy's back, thus locking his arms around him at the same time. And with this hold in place, Domino's arms begin pumping with all the strength they have to crush the slippery opponent in an unrelenting bearhug.

The grab succeeds, and as Domino starts to squeeze, Guy wonders how to get out of /this/ one. The answer comes in the form of dead weight. Guy simply drops to the canvas and rolls out, rising a short distance away. Not to be stopped, he steps in with another quick kick to Domino's body, aimed at his gut. This isn't another double-hit backflip, rather a simple kick with a simple purpose.

Domino is set on crushing the ninja out right there on the spot, but.. well.. if there's one thing Guy has affirmed, it's that it's really hard to keep ahold of him. So soon enough, Domino's destroying pretty much nothing but thin air. The moment the kick lashes at him, however, he sidesteps to let it strike air. Along with this, Domino thrusts his right foot up in a sharp roundhouse kick aimed for Guy's head. Give and take, as it was put before, though Domino can't really take much beyond what he's endured already.

Guy's getting tired, and it shows in his failed attempt to sidestep the kick. It clips him on the shoulder as he fails to dodge, but Guy also reacts with momentum, swinging his foot at Domino's knees. It's a quick effort, but the two fighters are clearly tired. The crowd is chanting for them to keep at it, there being no attempts at booing. It really is getting down to the wire between these two, and the crowd anticipates the finish.

Domino sets his foot back to the ground after his strike, setting back into his stance. The cheering crowd is certainly noticed, but he doesn't spare a moment right now to acknowledge them. He's devoted his attention solely to the fight, to reacting to his opponent's attacks. As Guy launches his kick back at him, Domino shifts his right leg over to catch it along his knee and guide it smoothly around to spin Guy away from him. Particularly, to turn his back to him. Quickly gathering energy in his hands, Domino drops into a low frontal stance once more. Both hands launch out to strike Guy's hopefully prone back in a double palmheel strike. And again, the hands ignite in a blazing white flash of concussive energy.

The hit takes Guy fully in the chest, and the hero goes down to one knee. The crowd goes on their feet, for even though he has been hit onto the canvas before, this is the first real visible sign that perhaps, just maybe, Domino's going to take down Guy. The ninja begins to seriously consider that he's out of his league, and he rises back up. Rather than attack again, he decides to wait more. Both to clear his own head and to see if Domino loses his further at the sight of the ninja, weakened.

Again, the white energy bleeds from Domino's trembling, outreached hands. The martial artist wrestler shifts out of the Whiteout position, panting heavily... but the look in those dark eyes is telltale that he has no intention to stop until the match has truly ended.

But lose his head, Domino does not. The dark side of Domino is a cool one, levelheaded and calculating. This would appear to be an opportunity in the making, however, and he would be a fool to not take it. So now, with Guy on his feet again, Domino attempts to grab him by the head. If caught, he'll simply hop up and drop down to the ground, aiming to smash the ninja's head against it while he falls into the splits.

The drop on Domino's behalf didn't quite go as expected. Guy is still standing? Domino's on the ground? He starts to push himself up to his feet, when Guy suddenly has ahold of him. He lets out a surprised cry as he's spun over, and finally, Domino is struck soundly against the ground.

"GAH!"

And there he falls limp. Or at least, he appears to at first. But that insanely dogged determination sees Domino pushing himself back up to his feet, hoping to catch Guy by surprise with the final reserves of his strength. And with Guy held aloft in that position, Domino raises his right arm to signal very groggily to the audience. It lasts maybe one second before both arms are needed again to keep him in place, seeing as it's a miracle Domino's still standing by itself. But physics and logic are told to sit down and shut the Hell up for a few moments longer, as not only does Domino continue to stand, but his arms begin to clench around Guy's midsection in what he intends to be a wrenching inverted bearhug.

But this lasts only a second or two.

'Hold it,' sayeth physics. 'That's quite enough!,' declareth logic. Nay, not yet. There is the second phase of the Total Eclipse.

Domino leaps high into the air, curling into a ball and flipping with his captured prey. Each rotation sees the two fighters rapidly gaining momentum on their ascension, and by the time they're descending, the two have blurred into an opaque swirl of motion. Building up this outrageous momentum drains off the last bits of energy Domino has, unfortunately for him. It's now become a struggle just to hold on and see the attack through.

But gravity thankfully does the rest. The increasing momentum comes to a shattering half when the two hit the ground, Guy's head ideally smashing against it, backed up by their combined bodyweights. But immediately after that hit, Domino can hold on no longer. He simply drops back, unconscious.

When Guy is locked into the piledriver position, he can just feel Domino's exhaustion resonating throughout the young man's body. Honed senses, even though dulled, are able to share the feeling of exhaustion. As the pair takes to the air, Guy begins to contort his body to maximize the impact. Domino's muscles probably give very little in the way of resistance, so that when Guy hits, it's a hard slam to his back rather than a jarring impact, head-first. That's all for Domino.

Guy climbs out of the mess and rises, leaning against a turnbuckle as the crowd cheers. He then bends over, picking Domino up, and carrying him to his corner, where Domino's people or trained medics are waiting. He gingerly hands the other fighter down, and turns back to the center of the ring. Walking there, he raises a fist in victory, and then is gone in a blast of smoke.
