Neo League 551 - #557: Geese vs Nagare

Description: Nagare and Geese duke it out on the world's largest snowman! Watch in horror, as through an atomic bomb experiment gone HORRIBLY AWRY, the Snowman becomes an irradiated mutant monster bent on terrorizing cities with his frosty rage! Can Nagare and Geese stop its rampage?! What does this desc have to do with anything?! Behold, a battle you won't want to miss! (Winner: Geese)

Today in Russia, there was a rather exciting event! A Neo League match of great proportions! The worlds largest snowman, just finished two days ago, was ready for its destruction! Well, what better way would there be than having a Neo League on it so the kids can start it all over again! They love repetition, ho ho ho, AND THEY BETTER.

Now, Neo League camera's have been set up at all the greatest angles. Towards the two logs for arms, the head that has a second chin so wide the fighters can move around it, and a great hat that even has a spiral staircase inside of it. They've thought of everything! The size of the snowman? At least one hundred feet tall! Nothing to worry about folks. Half way there's a net about the snowman. If anyone was to fall, well, they would look pretty silly!

On the right log, Nagare swims up from out of nowhere, water chi splashing from out of nowhere where he lands on the large branch, the water chi quickly freezing and falling into icicles and frozen rain. He's already feeling the cold, but he can't not deal with it! He can do it! He just has to keep moving! No, he's wearing his usual outfit. No parka for him! A speedo for the extreme cold is all you really need.

Looking for whoever his opponent his, he awaits, idly hopping from fin to fin, shaking and awaiting everything to begin.

Maybe he should have wore a jacket. Well, two. And some pants.

"Leave it to Masters to think of a setting as ridiculous as this."
The words are uttered in mild annoyance under the breath of one Geese Howard, CEO of Howard Enterprises and founder of the famous Saturday Night Fight. As something of a fighting -legend- amongst the circuit, Howard's presence is rare, but when he deigns to make an appearance... he -expects- it to be grand.
Apparently, his idea of 'grand' does not include fighting atop grand snowmen.
With the knowledge that this is likely some sort of ploy on the part of Ken Masters to demean him, though, Geese is all smiles and laughter for the camera. He is nothing if not a brilliant actor; the Hakyokusaken user gives a broad wave to all those cameras assembled around him. Standing on the log-made arms of the snowman, Geese waits patiently for his competition to arrive. And so he does... swimming... through the air... in a speedo.
"... Hah. I guess this is the cherry on top, eh?"
Still, the words go unheard for all but Geese. Whatever his annoyances, none of them are visible as his head inclines to the approaching Nagare. Of course he knows who the man is. He'd be a fool not to. "Nagare Namikawa, right? I do believe I'll be your competition for tonight! So..." His legs spread, shoulder-width, as Geese adopts his traditional fighting stance. He takes in a deep breath, releases... and grins.
"... let's see what you've got."

Nagare looks right towards the larger man already there. "Oh! Sorry! I might have missed you there!" Nagare states as he begins to move forward, but stopping half way. This may be exactly that Geese. The Masters obviously set you up with the craziest situation that all self worth escapes.

Pausing, Nagare looks straight towards Geese. "Oh right! Good day mister..." Nagare states, raising a flipper to look towards it. "Ge-ese... Howard." Nagare states, blinking afterwards. He doesn't go off on a rant about how famous he is. Or how strong he is, he just blinks. Nagare hasn't paid attention to the fighting circuit in forever. He's just living it now.

"Very nice to meet you mister, lets have a good clean fight and let the better man win!" Nagare exclaims. And Geese wants to see what he gots as well. Well, Nagare can do that.

Waddling forward, arms moving like he's swimming while he's obviously moving across the snowman and the branch on foot, he moves towards Geese, right up towards him, his fluid movement, like water, doesn't stop there.

Water chi seems to bleed from him. And then with the ice, he heaves himself forward on it. Sending Nagare flying forward towards Geese, a flipper aimed right towards the fighters chin! To kick back and forth! "I'll do my best Mister Howard!"

Nagare speaks Geese's name as if he hadn't heard it before. To live in Southtown and not know who Geese is? Nagare must live under a very, very large rock. It doesn't really matter, though.
By the time this fight is over he'll likely have a hard time forgetting Geese's name.
And with that, Nagare rushes forward. The keen mind can see the kind of strain the young man puts forth in those movements. Propelling himself across wood and snow faster than he should readily be able to with the kind of assault he utilizes. He claims he'll do his best, just as he lashes out with flippered feet. Ridiculous. Absolutely ridiculous. Howard closes his eyes... and smiles.
"You might want to do better than your best."
Which might be about when Nagare finds a strong hand gripping around his ankle scant inches before it strikes out at Geese's chin.
"TOO SLOW!"
The words boom out in complement to the sudden THRUST of Geese's free hand forwards, stopping rigidly at Nagare's chest. From there, a spherical eruption of icy blue fire sparks from his palm, blazing into Nagare's torso at the exact moment that he releases the Taiyo coach's foot -- using the momentum to propel him -back- and -away-.
"Try something a bit better now, hmmm?"

Nagare isn't really a fighter. Well. He wasn't really a fighter. But now he does it. And being a great coach, well, he just aptly falls into fighting rather easily! He's not a Hayato, but Hayato is rather skilled in his own right. But that's not important at the moment.

What is is that Geese moves right after Nagare, a sudden thrust send right into Nagare's chest, sending him flying back without a moment to lose, the icy blue sparks tingling as it sparkles on his chest. "W-wow..." Nagare states as he skids to a halt, couching fiercly from the single strike. Okay, there's got to be something he's missing. This guy is a power house. Obviously he had something to do. Geese? Gease? Howard. Hah, wait. Nagare's missed something.

"Oh. So you're GEASE Howard." Nagare states. "Wow. Your rather famous." Nagare states, "It's an honor Mister Geese!" Nagare states as he gets backup and getting back into his funny stance. Only to funny walk right back over the Geese, attempting to strike rather hard against the mans chest with his hand, the other bolstering the force sent into the man's chest.

Well, he doesn't need it to breathe, but it might leave a small divot in his chest. If it gets anywhere close of course.

COMBATSYS: Nagare successfully hits Geese with Artificial Respiration.

This is all rather absurd.
But at least it'll prove decent entertainment. Geese will have to thank Ken, later. Possibly in a public place.
When realization finally dawns upon Nagare, Howard says little. He simply allows him a smirk and an inclination of his head, powerful frame dipping lower into his fighting stance once more. -That- Geese Howard. "I'm sure it is," is his reply. An honor, that is.
It always is.
Nagare breaks forward in a waddle, and Howard seems intent on making a quick backstep to avoid whatever it is that the swimmer-turned-fighter has planned. It doesn't quite work out as he'd hoped. The hand impacts against his chest in a sudden -crack-, joined soon by the other hand with enough force to send Howard staggering. Tabi socks scrape across the cold bark of the log in a scramble that takes Geese all of a foot backwards before he stops. He grins, -entertained-.
"That's better."
And that's all the commentary he'll allow before he rigidly snaps -forward-. His entire body pivots to his right side, as he leads off in an open-palm strike just underneath Nagare's sternum. Intent to bury his palm there with staggering force, the intent is clear; to use this point as a fulcrum as he grips Nagare by his shoulder, intent on flipping him straight -up- through the air, and potentially into the icy surface of the snowman itself, with phenomenal force behind the blow. "HMPH!"

Nagare's ready for anything! Anything at all! Haha! Nagare can do this, sure he can! And then he strikes. But Geese. Geese's body feels like a rock when he gets stuck. Nagare can barely even imagine how he can strike anything more solid than that. It almost freaks him out. "Wow..." He states, only to back off a little.

But not before Geese blows forward with a strike, a hand sending Nagare back once it strikes right below his sternum. Nagare's arms aren't even up once th blows strike, backpedling nowhere once the man has a death grip there. With the shoulder grabbed now, Nagare become airborne! Being thrown straight up, Nagare flails as he comes down, twisting and turning before striking the ground of the snowman hard. Bouncing once or twice Nagare gets up, beaten and bruised already. "W-wow." He just repeats.

Getting up slowly, this joke is being beaten into the ground. Or at least Nagare is. "Alright! Here it goes!" Nagare states beginning to run forward before... taking to the air? And he's splashing. Diving forward once after another as he holds his collision course with Geese's chest, attempting to run into the rather built man head first!

Geese            0/-------/----===|=====--\-------\0           Nagare

Someone swimming in the air. You don't see that every day. Of course, Geese knows what Nagare is capable of; the man has participated in Saturday Night Fight on more than one occassion, and his wild antics have been broadcast for all the world to see. Which might explain why he looks more -amused- than anything else; Nagare is coming in fast and hard, and Geese seems for all the world prepared to deal with what's to come...
... But he underestimates Nagare's speed. The swim teacher slams into him with more force than Howard would have thought possible, striking him solidly in the chest with enough force to send Howard airborne the moment that the technique strikes. He goes flying in a short hop, landing against the log in a stumble. To his credit, Howard does not fall; however, if the bruising on his chest is any indication, the blow struck -- solidly, at that.
"... Hmph," he mulls out, thoughtful as he rubs his chest. He -had- something planned. Now, with his gambit a failure, he is slightly open to repercussion. Icy blow eyes focus on Nagare as he recovers himself. However annoyed he might be, though... he still smirks. So, the swim teacher has a bit more oomph in him than expected.
Good.

Stay on course! Don't go overboard! Keep your bearings! That's the motto of the swimmer! Or at least the motto of Nagare. He wasn't planning on doing any of those really. He was just going for it. Moving faster and faster as he swims. A nice pace, a rhythm. Everything in order for Geese. He can follow it. But... mercifully he doesn't.

Nagare kicks as if attempting to win the race and outpaces Geese's calculations by the slightest inch, coming to a stop there and then as he stops dead at the end, the water chi coming to a stop as he slides right to the end of the tree log!... and just stops, hanging over the edge just by a hair. That was close.

Turning towards Geese, Nagare was obviously giving it his all. But how long can he keep it up before the Geese runs wild on him!? Looking about for something. Anything to use, but up here, there's only a few choices. Like snow. Or ice. Nothing that will phase Geese. So Nagare once more plays a gambit, moving towards Geese, even with the hard eyes focusing on him.

Plopping down backwards, both arms out straight and against the ground, he begins to kick. Kick like he was almost there at the end! KICK FOR TAIYO. Kick so hard that water chi comes out, and attempts to batter the powerhouses rock defense!

COMBATSYS: Nagare successfully hits Geese with Splash Kick.

If there's something to be said for Nagare, it's that he's tenacious. The blows that he lays upon Geese don't necessarily -hurt-, but when they're added up, they do their part well enough to keep the Southsynd tyrant battered and at bay. As Geese recovers himself, Nagare comes rushing in once more, his body streaking forward at impossibly -fast- speeds for someone of his capabilities. He sweeps in, attempts to attack Geese. Howard pulls up his arms to defend...
... But some how, some way, the Taiyo coach pulls through. The kick engulfed in water strikes clean against Howard's powerful frame, putting forth just enough power to send him back one, two, three steps. Water pushes against him to aid in the process, and a small trickle of blood flows down his lip. He presses his hand against the corner of his mouth, and glances at the dark red liquid. He frowns.
Time to stop playing around.
Without a word, the King of Southtown thrusts himself -forward-, his hands snapping outward in an attempt to grip Nagare securely by the shoulders. From there, he'll start spinning around, and around, and around, going faster and FASTER at disorienting speeds, building up centrietal force before simply RELEASING Nagare for a collision course... straight with the Snowman's hat.

COMBATSYS: Nagare blocks Geese's Rebound Throw.

Nagare knows the man is rediculously powerful. When he comes right for him, Nagare can feel the pain coming. Geese is a powerful monster. And Nagare, well, he's the guppy. Geese is the shark. This is going to be painful. As Geese reaches for Nagare, the man throws himself back in an attempt to escape his grasp, but half way, deciding to take it as light as he possibly can.

He just can't stop him. The king of southtown gets Nagare easily, but Nagare attempts to slow him down. Grasping, holding, attempting to just make Geese's throw less powerful. And he does. He's a thorn in the man's side, so when the throw is finally let go, Nagare doesn't get shot off at bone crushing speed, but there's still enough power for his own figure to shake when he strikes the hat, falling down to the rim. Bloody and battered, the Taiyo coach no longer cares about how cold it is. He barely feels it due to the adrenaline. He just has to give his all!

But from up here it's rather hard. Looking around, he just notices a large ribbon that was frozen solid. Well, beggers can't be chosers. Plucking the flower ribbon, Nagare can already tell this may be a mistake, but he still tosses the weapon right towards Geese. Like a shuriken of ribbonny proportions, before flattening himself against the cap once more, breathing heavily.

There's resistance there. Geese can feel it as he twists around and around, driving more and more force behind his grip on Nagare. It's fine, though; ultimately, the toss does its part, launching the swimmer up to the very top of the massive snowman. As his grip is released, Geese pauses, looks up... and smirks, if only faintly.
"Not coming back down?" he questions, almost sounding concerned for Nagare's safety. And to the cameras, it would certainly seem that way. "Well then! I guess..."
That icy ribbon is thrust outward, and Geese reacts almost instantly. His sock-clad feet press against the wooden ground beneath him. In a single push, he's rocketing through the air, soaring -over- that ribbon intended for a deadly projectile rather harmlessly. He lands on the snowy shoulder of the massive construct in a crouch, muscles tensing before he springs off -there-... and straight for Nagare.
"... I'll come up to -you-."
The moment that Geese lands, all hell breaks loose. His hands -slam- into the icy scalp of the snowman as he strikes the ground in a crouch. Almost instantly, a veritable -storm- of power erupts from the snow around him. Sheering masses of fire of the darkest blue hues slice through the air with such cold intensity the air around him wavers. Those ribbons of chi, outlined in dark violet, undulate through the air like vicious claws of power, encasing and enwrapping around Geese like a cage that easily dwarfs both him and Nagare. The storm expands, those whipping tendrils of ice-blue seeking out Nagare to burn into him with unfathomable might. The hat is simply RIPPED off the snowman in the wake of the explosion, flung through the air. And beneath them... the snow begins to melt.
As the storm rages on, the snowman's head begins to literally melt. Just imagine what it might do to Nagare.

Nagare watches as Geese begins to come for him. Out of everything, EVERYTHING. Nagare had no idea what was going to happen. Well, he just didn't know how powerful Geese is. He thought he had a chance. He thought wrong.

Geese approaches, Nagare stays up there. Well, he can stay there. He'll see Geese coming by a mile! But no. Geese doesn't. He slams his hands forwards, energy explodes forward. The head of the Snowman is literally vaporized and sent out. He decapitates the snowman? And even has enough to go after Nagare.

Diving forward like you wouldn't imagine, he dives, forward and down into the storm of tendrils attempting to manuever through it. Hahahaha. Nagare was ballsy, but he wasn't as always smart. Right into the storm he goes. Like a boat caught in a storm, he's sent around, the might of it getting splashed about, left and right, moved about furiously as he's seared and destroyed. It's terrible, horrible. You can only imagine what he experienced as he plinks on the snowman, battered and bruised in a blooy mess.

But he gets up, sliding forward on his belly towards Geese, teeth clenched as he kicks out with his two feet, attempting to use the rest of his strength in a quick, rather upped version of another attack he used! The different is that he gives up half way through, breathing heavily as he rests on the snow man.

Hey, Nagare, you can see your breath.

But that's the last thing he see's as he goes unconscious afterwards.

COMBATSYS: Nagare can no longer fight.

Ice melts away at the fury of the Raging Storm that Geese musters up between his fingertips. Nagare is caught up in the wake of it, twisted and burned. Geese doesn't seem to notice. He simply continues to generate those whipping claws of dark blue until finally, Nagare is blown back, those sheering tendrils of power shimmering into nothingness at the exact same moment. Geese lifts. He stands tall, proud, and ready. The message is clear.
He's done playing around.
But still, Nagare has more effort in him to bring to bear. The swimmer pushes himself forward despite the obvious pain he's in, and Howard can't help but lift a brow, head tilting to the side. "... So, you're still going, are you? You really have that Taiyo spirit, eh? Live hard, play hard..."
Nagare slides at Geese in a most ridiculous manner. And before Nagare can even thrust out with that water-infused blow, Howard is leaping -up- and over him in a blur of white and crimson fabric. His entire body moves in a singularly rapid rate, landing scant feet from Nagare as the younger man lashes out at nothing but air.
"... Never know when to just give up."
Nagare collapses, consciousness leaving him. Confidently, Howard tugs at his gi, presenting his grinning face for all the cameras to see as he starts to work his way down the massive snowman. Despite minor underestimations on Nagare's capacities, this went smoothly. And proves that, no matter the environment, no matter how ridiculous... Geese can still maintain that impeccable calm of his.
Even if being kicked with a flipper was slightly humiliating.
