So, Domino has been in Metro a few days. No big turns of events for him as far as the gang situation goes, but he's still pretty hopeful. And in the meantime, he'd been contacted by Lex-err, Angel Papillion about her Neo Leagueage. So he decided to challenge her again, to let her have another go of things... and also to fight her with the intent to really see what she's got.

The location for this: SlamMasters Arena. The audience for the charity event earlier positively loved the electricity between Domino and Papillion, and they've been dying to see the two in the ring in a more 'for-reals' capacity. So tonight, they're getting their wish.

Houselights dim down, spotlights rove over the cheering, roaring audience, and the announcer begins to drone over the PA system. "And now, for tonight's main event! Making his way to the ring now, at five feet, eleven inches, weighing 156 lbs..."

Domino starts down the entry ramp, currently shrouded by hood and robe. Of course the locals recognize him. He's an American professional wrestler of no small repute, and has fought here a good few times now. So he's greeted with a loud pop of praise. As he trots along, he drifts from one side of the ramp to the other to slap hands and shake others, being generally sociable. A face, if ever there was one.

But the announcer continues, "From Rhode Island, captain of the Shooting Stars, and wielder of a wrestling style named after himself... DOMINO~!"

Right as Domino hops onto the ring apron and vaults over the top rope to land on the canvas, an explosion of black and white pyros go off from little hidden ports at the turnbuckles. He makes his way to the center of the ring, hands lifted, turning a quick spin as he basks in all the cheering. He then rushes to one of the turnbuckles once the pyro show is finished, and he scampers to the middle ropes to perch. The sash holding his robe together is tugged loose, and he casts the garment outside the ring, revealing his fetching features much more fully. Fists lift triumphantly, and he beams a radiant smile out at the audience, amethyst eyes alight with anticipation.

It's a big return to Metro City! Alexis got out of school, raced to the airport and is now here. She... wasn't /really/ expecting to receive a challenge from Domino the moment she landed, but there it was. Retrieving her luggage and heading here to the SlamMasters Arena, she was lucky enough to be given a dressing room where she could throw on a leotard and mask before making her way out to the ring.
Listening to the announcer from behind the scenes, she gulps. This isn't like her previous two Neo League matches! This sounds more like a real-deal fight. Spotlights, a huge cheering crowd, an announcer, pyrotechnics... it's all enough to make a girl turn tail and run. Gymnastics competitions are /so/ much easier! Things are quiet and not half as flashy and it's easier to concentrate and...
As she pivots on her heel to run back to the dressing room, her shoulders are twisted about and she's pointed back to the entry ramp. Inhaling deeply, she watches Domino's entrance and attempts to psyche herself up.
The announcer continues to drone on over the PA system. "And his opponent! A relative newcomer to the fighting scene, wielder of a very unusual and acrobatic style, not unlike that of a luchadore..."
This is where Alexis begins to feel ill. Having to face a crowd that large, to watch her fight and fail? Why does she keep setting herself up for embarrassment? Unlike her opponent who is hidden beneath his robe, the only thing hiding 'Angel Papillion' is a sparkling seafoam green mask, shaped like a butterfly. She begins by walking down the entry ramp, but is soon running along it. Midway down, she takes a deep breath and looks out at the audience. They were cheering for Domino, and they recognized him but most won't even care that she's here.
Time to make them care.
Two further steps are taken, and she unleashes an extremely powerful roundoff back-handspring which launches her into the air. Flipping high above the ramp in a 180-degree turn, she twists her body into a front flip just seconds before her feet hit the base of the ramp in a soft, graceful manner. Slowly exhaling, she slides down into a perfect splits movement and turns her head to the side to beam a smile at the audience, complete with a little tooth-ping.
"At five feet, five inches and weighing in at 103 lbs..." The announcer is continuing despite her attempt to wow the crowd. "ANGEL PAPILLION~!"
Alexis doesn't know what to expect now, but she knows she needs to get into that ring. Grabbing hold of the edge of it, she flips herself over the top of the ropes and pirouettes around to face the audience. Just as she tosses out a handful of butterfly sequins, a pretty explosion of greens and blues goes off in front of her. Startled by this, she jolts and nearly falls as she twists around to make her way to the turnbuckle opposite Domino. Gulping again, she arches her body backward and raises her arms up over her head as she beams another dazzling smile toward the audience hoping to elicit at least a little cheering for herself.

Domino hops off the turnbuckle as Angel makes her way to the ring. He leans against the ropes and props his elbows up over the top one, watching her in amusement. And when she climbs into the ring, he quietly takes a position back to let her have her moment in the audience's eye. It's courtesy, and all. And as she goes about preening and making a show of herself, he snickers a little. She -is- a natural at making a show, isn't she?

But the moment it's over, it's time for the match to get underway. A ref slips into the ring and he ensures both fighters are ready, then signals the bell.

*DING!*

Domino closes in on the green Papillion slowly, hunkering into a typical wrestling stance. Not so much -his- typical stance, but he's adapting to his surroundings. Feet spread a bit, arms spread out, fingers splay... and he suddenly rushes forward, hands thrusting out in a double palmheel strike aimed for the girl's chest. The moment his arms are extended fully, his hands ignite in a bright flash of dazzling white concussive energy.

Barely having the time to stop preening for the crowd, Angel Papillion twirls around to face her foe as soon as she hears the dinging of the bell.
Boy, does she wish she didn't. Expecting him to try to grapple with her, she's instead greeted with a hefty palmhell strike that sends her /flying/ back against the turnbuckle. Crashing against it, she shakes her head a few times to stop it from reeling due to the concussive energy strike that accompanied the move.
Groaning, she kip ups back to her feet and fixes him with a steely glare beneath the mask, and tries to figure out how exactly that's supposed to make her feel better about her earlier loss. Advancing upon him, she suddenly pivots away swiftly, her left leg drawn in toward her. As she finishes a full rotation, she cracks her leg out toward his chest as though she's snapping a whip at him.

Domino is just fighting her with the intent to see how good she really is and can be. The initial hit doesn't even bring the model to flinch from how hard she hit the turnbuckle. He's settled into his Dark Side at the moment. He begins to close in on her again, ready to continue the fight.. except she's suddenly on her feet again, and at the ready. Her quick spin catches him just as intended, striking him squarely and getting him to stagger a step back. His eyes narrow a little, and he lashes his hands out for her shoulders. If caught, he drops back and pushes a boot up into her stomach to launch her behind him towards the center of the ring.

Caught and released, Angel Papillion becomes airborne once more. Dropping toward the center of the ring, she throws herself into a side roll as she lands, and immediately springs back up to her feet. When her feet touch the mat, she races toward him. Coming up to him, she reaches out to grab his left arm, and then throws herself into a high somersault while she attempts to flip Domino over onto his front before unfurling her body to land feet first on the mat once again.

Domino is still in the process of getting up to his full height when she's suddenly on him again. Caught and surprised, Domino is yanked over and landed square against the mat, issuing a soft 'oof'. He rolls over onto his back and pushes himself up quickly again though, smirking at the girl.

And this serves as a small pause in the match. Domino begins to circle the girl, assuming the stance again. The crowd just cheers and cheers over the quick exchange isnofar that seems to see the girl faring better. And suddenly, Domino attempts to move in to lock up with her in a typical grapple hold. But in the midst of this, he attempts to ram his knee into her stomach sharply. Twice. Then a third time just to ensure she's weakened. And from there, he goes to lock her neck between his thighs, arms going to hook around the battered stomach. And if caught, he simply hoists her upside-down into piledriver position, and drops down to smash her head against the mat.

It is a harsh reality to find out that everyone loves attacking your stomach. Alexis hits this reality as his knee strikes her stomach for the third time, not only doubling her over, but causing her to feel very nauseous. She's extremely careful not to retch or vomit, but each kneeing got a rather loud yelp and whimper from her. Tiny fists attempt to beat against the outer portion of his legs as he hoists her up, but that doesn't stop Domino from performing the brutal piledriver which finds the wing-tips of her mask being squashed against the mat before her body flops over.
"Waaaaaugh!"
Twitching several times, she groans but presses on. Using her hands to hold herself up, she pushes to her feet and then shoots him another steely glare. She's not faring very well against him this time. She'd love to blame the knots in her stomach caused by the nervousness she was feeling earlier, but maybe she's just not giving her all!
This forces her to rethink her strategy. Angel Papillion would love nothing more than running to a corner turnbuckle and catching her breath. Attempting that might just give him the upper hand and she's not willing to let him get that yet! She's going to make it look like she's doing that though. Rushing over to the turnbuckle, she places a dainty hand upon her chest and breathes deeply.
Suddenly, she's launching herself into a roundoff back-handspring, much like the one she performed on the entry ramp. This one is sprung off in the direction of Domino and she attempts to grip his neck with her legs as tightly as possible. Continuing with her momentum, she allows her upper body to dangle downward as she gives it a hard twist to the right, hoping to throw him and roll back to her feet before he knows what hit him.

Domino is pretty certain just that piledriver won't finish her off.. and he's not surprised when she gets back up. He grins a little, in fact. And he starts to close in on her again as she's catching her breath. But suddenly, she's springing at him and catching him with her legs. His arms lock around her waist, trying to prevent... whatever she's doing.. but he falls short. He smashes against the mat hard, and he lies there stunned for a second.

...But he pushes himself further, twisting out of her legs and trying to just lock up with her while they're on the mat and in that close a proximity.. His arms try to lock around her waist once more, but this time excruciatingly tightly, attempting to crush her stomach and chest against his. He even growls at her as he does this, trying to be all intimidating. Even if she knows him otherwise.

Getting up to her feet is no easy task. Her ankle gets caught under his head as they land and since she doesn't really feel like booting him in the head just to get up and continue fighting, she's stuck. When his arms lock about her waist, Angel Papillion lets out a loud, surprised squeak. Hearing him growl, she frantically tries to get away, possibly even flailing her foot out from under his head and kicking him lightly, but she's yanked under him in a tight bearhug.
A tight, risque looking bearhug.
Though they cannot be seen due to where her head is currently resting, eyes behind the butterfly mask are wide. Absolutely wide, and her body stops its frantic struggling. Should cameras zoom in to the hold and manage to catch a glimpse of her cheeks beneath his knees, they may just see that a deep red hue has graced them.
This is all part and parcel of wrestling though, isn't it? That is the type of match the challenge said. Wrestling rules. So maybe she should try something a little more wrestle-savvy.
Twisting her body back and forth, she attempts to roll them over and reverse the bearhug and force him to release her. She needs to breathe! Besides, she think she felt one of her ribs pop a little bit from his uber-hold and she's doing her utmost not to whimper and tear-up like she did after all the pain Hurricane Hime caused to her midsection.

Domino isn't entirely unawares of the racy lock-up they've found themselves in, but he's more interested in putting the hurt on Papillion than looking all proper. Professional wrestling - or, heck, even college-style wrestling - rarely looks... ahem... proper. So he continues to smush the poor girl's body... except she suddenly twists over, rolling with him. And indeed, they both do lock-up like so. Except Drake just continues to roll with the movement to end on his knees again with her, preventing her from cinching on and squeezing.

Except this time, he doesn't just try to continue mashing her. He raises to his full height, trying to keep her in the locked, frontal position with his arms around her waist. He attempts to catch her neck between his thighs again, for yet another piledriver position...

And with the girl captured up in the position - not a lot she can do about it, so far as Domino is aware - he hops into the air and drops down, hammering her skull against the mat. And from there, he just drops forward with her, letting her body plop onto its back, while he plops overtop her for the pin. Since they -are- using wrestling rules and all, there is no real knockout to win.

"One!"
"Two!"
"Thr..."

After the most recent drop to her head, Alexis cannot really think straight. She's too busy seeing little butterflies flutter by and around her head. They might have been birds, but her brain wasn't up for the challenge of adding chirping noises.
At first, she doesn't even bother trying to struggle against the pin. Her body is aching, she's dazed and she's not had a very good performance here for this match! Good, perhaps. Great, no. But that is not the proper attitude for a gymnast to have. One /must/ finish the competition, no matter what. When you fall, get back up and try again. When you drop the apparatus, pick it up and try again. Keep moving ahead, keep smiling and know that even when you lose you will always have another chance.
Even if you go home and cry when it's all over.
After popping her shoulder up, she pushes herself out from under Domino immediately dropping beside him and attempting to twist him over and hoist him up in a belly-to-belly piledriver hold.

Securing his head between her legs, she inhales deeply and tries to stabilize her balance before springing up into the air and taking him with her. Once high enough she executes a 180-degree rotation and then pulls them into a front flip, tucking her body around his before they begin their descent. As they angle toward the mat, she unfurls herself from him and drives his head down to the mat as hard as she can.
This is normally where she'd flip over him and let him drop to the mat, but she has an idea! Angel Papillion is breathing heavily. Her body is aching, and there's a thin sheen of sweat upon her brow. This is the end for her, but she can't go down without at least attempting a pin once! She allows her body to fall with a small back-roll that will lead her back to where he lands. Pivoting to the side, she drops her light-weight body over his in a pin-wheeled fashion. Her right arm slides toward his throat in an attempt to keep him on the mat. Her left arm slips down and tries to snake around his leg so that she can hold it up and keep him down. Neither is putting much pressure on him though, since she's worn down and exhausted at this point.

Domino fully expects the match to be at a close now. And after that piledriver, so do the fans. They're on their feet, counting along with the ref as he hammers out the numbers...

But something unexpected happens. Angel Papillion gets a shoulder off the mat a fraction of a second before the third count. He blinks and starts to raise.. only to find himself getting shoved a little, and her rolling him over and trying to tangle him up.

And Domino? He... allows this to happen. Not because it's kinky or anything, no. But because she was feeling so down about her match earlier, getting a pin attempt on him might make her feel better. So hopefully she won't take notice of his lack of overt struggling against her. He -is- a little worn down, after all.

So Domino finds himself caught up in pretty much the exact same position he had her in. His arms hook around her waist, his knees setting to either side of her head to just hold on. the maneuver itself is quite astounding. Confusing, but intricate, dizzying, and.. is this what it's like to be caught on the receiving end of the Total Eclipse? Dang. No wonder people just plain don't get up after that.

SMASH.

The audience explodes into cheer.

To say that Domino didn't mind the hit would be a complete lie. It hurt, alright. It hurt pretty bad. So his lying prone on his back on the mat is certainly no deception, eyes shut, body supine. The girl gets to lie her stomach across his, settle her arm towards his collar, and hook his leg for the pin. The referee immediately drops to the mat beside the two and begins hammering out the beats, which the audience is screaming in tandem...

"One..!"
"Two!"
"THR--"

Domino's body twists aside beneath the girl, just enough to lift his shoulder off the mat. And this, of course, sets the audience to wild cheering again.

Hearing the audience cheering for her causes Alexis to sniffle a little. In gymnastics, things are silent until the end of a well-choreographed routine, and then all she receives are polite claps and possibly a few ooohs and ahhhs as the numbers are displayed.
This is real.
This is raw.
These people are enthusiastic fans!
Angel Papillion tries to hold the pin for as long as she can, just basking in the noisy atmosphere around her. Those are her cheers! She's gotten Domino down on the mat! She's got a chance to win!
He pops his shoulder up.
Tumbling off of him when the referee motions that there was no pin, she sighs. It was great while it lasted though! Exhilarating to have the roar of the crowd in her ears, to know that she pulled off a successful Arabian Frontflip that was modified into a piledriver via careful execution has her feeling anything /but/ bad about this match.
Once her back hits the mat, she's no intention of moving. She knows he's won, all he has to do now is secure the pin. She's just too physically exhausted to continue.
And the audience just continues in their wild cheering, waiting to see what will happen next.

Domino isn't going to just roll over and pin the girl. No, that's not how things are done. See, when someone attempts to pin you, you have to retaliate before pinning back. So he pushes over onto his front, then gets to his hands and knees. His head is now throbbing like mad thanks to that Arabian Frontflip, and it really shows. He.. actually -does- look vulnerable right now.

But her attack was so much like his Total Eclipse, he feels he -has- to show her how it's done properly. So Domino reaches out to grab a couple fistfulls of her hair, and he pushes himself back up to his feet, trying to drag her along the way. And once standing, he releases her hair with one hand and thrusts the other fist into the air to signal his ultimate finisher - the Total Eclipse.

This gets the crowd to go crazy with the cheering. They're about to see a girl get brutalized!

How mean of him! Angel Papillion was quite happy to just rest there on the mat and attempt to catch her breath so that she could see this fight through to the end and remain conscious! Here she is though, yelping as he grabs her hair and drags her up to her feet. Girlish squeaks of pain. Alexis tries to shove him away from her when he releases her hair, except that causes her to teeter and since she prefers to stay as balanced as possible she focuses on that instead of retaliating. It's not like she'd be doing much further damage to him /anyhow/ seeing as she can barely stand without feeling wobbly.

Seeing as Domino still has a handful of her hair with the other fist, it's a good thing she doesn't fall over. But with the crowd letting him know they'd be pleased with splattered Papillion, Domino goes to hoist her up into that same old belly-to-belly piledriver position again. Her neck is locked between his thighs, his arms lock around her waist... and he begins to squeeze her midsection extremely tightly, crushing her abdomen to his torso. He is, however, not going full tilt with her. The streamlined muscle of his arms pump her harshly, but not as much as he would normally. The arms relent every few seconds to let her get a grasp of air and ensure she doesn't pass out in the inverted bearhug.

And the audience cheers harder in anticipation. This is only phase one of the Total Eclipse, after all.

Poor little butterfly is going to be squished like a bug under a flyswatter. Alexis is very much /not/ looking forward to the move happening. In spite of what she wants, she finds herself locked up in that piledriver position again. Exhausted though she is, she'd like nothing more than to assuage the pain she is about to receive. Her arms lock around him, her knees settle on either side of his head so that she doesn't simply slip out of his grasp.
This does not prevent her from making loud, gasping squeaks with every tight squeeze he applies to her. Nice of him to allow her to breathe every few seconds, even though it's causing a rush of oxygen that's making her feel dizzy.

And finally, Domino proceeds to phase two of the Total Eclipse. His arms lock in on her waist at crushing capacity, and he springs high into the air. He begins the jump with a forward flip motion, which bleeds into more and more flips.. each picking up speed rapidly. By the time the two are on the descent, their bodies have blurred together into an opaque, spherical swirl of motion. The full momentum combined with their collective bodyweights comes crashing down against the girl's head when they reach the mat again.

Following impact, Domino allows her body to flump to the mat. He quickly swivels over on top of her, settling his stomach across hers in a similar crossbody pin as what she had tried on him. Except his left arm settles across her chest and over her left shoulder instead of at her throat, keeping her shoulders down. His right arm hooks her left leg and hauls it into the air, and his right leg hooks over her right leg, both to take away her balance and hopefully any likelihood of her kicking out. He arches his back to press his abdomen firmly against hers, locking her body to the mat. And in that position, he waits for the referee to count the pin.

Alexis braces herself on the descent. Knowing this move is similar to hers, she has a good idea that it's going to hurt when her head crashes to the mat yet again. A loud smack can be heard reverberating from the mat when she hit and then flumps back. To her credit, she does try to simply just roll away from him but her body is moving slower than she'd like it to. Dazed she makes a final attempt at shoving him off of her, but it's almost as pointless as a mosquito attacking an elephant. She's just not got the strength to do it.

Dropping to the mat beside the pair, the referee bangs his palm against it, beating out the count.
"One!"
"Two!"
The audience roars out with applause, screams and cheers, some standing and some sliding to the edge of their seats as they wait to see if this is the end
"THREE!"

Over the PA system, the announcers voice pops on. "Ladies and gentlemen! Your winner.... DOMINO~!!"

With that, the crowd goes crazy. Loud whistles, cheers and the stomping of feet.
Alexis, meanwhile, just kind of groans and tries to wave a hand out to show that regardless of the traumatic pain she's just suffered, she's still alive. And twitching.

COMBATSYS: Drake has ended the fight here.

Domino feels her struggle, as weak and pitiful as it is, and he tightens up on the pin just to ensure she isn't going anywhere. And with the final count and the declaration of winner, he releases her body and springs to his feet. He turns a full circle, fists thrust into the air, bright smile worn. Mmhm. And after a few seconds of this, he rushes to the closest turnbuckle to climb it to the top ropes. Balanced there, he thrusts his right fist into the air. Left hand sets to his hip, and the right hand lowers a little to whisk through his sweat-slickened bangs. The nearby camera is given a sidelong roguish smile, his trademarked cocky, yet oh-so-alluring look.

And after that's been given, he backflips from the turnbuckle to land on the mat neatly. He turns to saunter over to the downed girl, and he kneels beside her while the ref checks her vitals. "You did great, Angel. Spectacular. I've got a lot to work with," he notes to her, tone pleasant, but voice a little worn from the pain he's still coping with. Even still, he raises back up to his feet and turns to climb outside the ropes. From there, he drops to the ground level, collects his robe to drape it over an arm, and makes his way up the ramp. Of course he makes several pauses along the way to high-five some people and even get hugged by a few of the more heart-eyed fangirls.. but still. It isn't too long before he's disappeared from the main arena.

A lesser person might swat away the help from the referee. Alexis, though? She's happy for the assistance. Especially when she's told that she'll be fine, and that she's still breathing. Had she not been in so much pain, she might just have laughed at him for saying that. If she wasn't breathing, he wouldn't really feel the need to tell her she /wasn't/ breathing, would he?
Domino's words get a small smile from her, and she nods. A lot to work with means she might just have potential! It's a start, and everyone has to start somewhere. She'll get better with time and practice. She's got to!
When she's finally allowed to get up and exit the ring, she gives what's left of the crowd (you know, the ones /not/ fawning over the winner) a thumbs up sign and a cute little smile. Grasping the lower rope, she flips down from the mat and makes her way back to the dressing room to shower and change before hitting the big, scary city again.
