Neo League 526 - #544: Birdie vs Ken

Description: Ken Masters takes on Birdie and shows him why he's the master! (Winner: Ken)

Confident after his wins against Billy and Rugal, the powerful karate master known as Ken Masters has slowly gotten back his confidence to get back into fighting more and more. That in mind, he has no qualms in entertaining a request from the man known as Birdie. He's big and powerful as Ken has heard, but the blond battler clearly things this is going to be a short fight, mostly due to the choice of his fighting location. There aren't too many people here, just a few camera people to get the fight as well as an official NeoLeague ref to make sure the fight is fair and the true winner is recorded.

Ken himself is waiting at his starting line, a piece of tape placed on the dojo about ten feet away from Birdie's line. Ken is already in his fighting stance and his usual fighting clothes, just waiting for the fierce felon to make his appearance.

Now, Birdie's nothing like Ken Masters. He learned most everything he has on the street, and if any is true, he's here to fight some of the best he can think of. He's fought Billy. He's fought Rugal. So now he's gotta fight Ken. Did he do alright? Decently if anything. Still, Birdie ain't going to be giving Ken a free 'win Birdie' pass. Oh no. Ken's going to have to earn it even if the big lug ain't no where near him.

Showing up at the time and place, Birdie's seven foot sell stands tall ten feet away from Ken. "Hehehe. Bloke this is gonna be real fun. If you have a stadium named after you, you gotta be bloody talented." The ogre states, hunching forward his piece of hair arced perfectly and rock hard. Read for anything, Birdie's here, and he got his request answered.

And he couldn't be happier. Just look at that dumb grin on his face. He sure is cocky.

The powerful karate fighter watches as his fight for the night comes in. Man... He's a bit better than he planned on. He's almost Hugo's size, and Hugo is a massive tank of muscle. Of course, Ken also hears that a drunk four year old dodges better than Hugo, and he senses that Birdie will have a bit more in the matter of agility. At least he hopes he does. Otherwise, this might be a fast fight.

As Birdie hunkers down, Ken tenses the muscles in his body. He is preparing to pounce as he leans forward faintly, watching and waiting for a perfect opening. "Come on, Bubba, give me your best shot... I've got a date with my wife after this," he announces confidently.

Birdie. Birdie ain't no fool. When Ken looks for an opening, well, Birdie doesn't just take the bait. He doesn't run in head first towards the fighter. Oh no. Instead. He rushes forward, breaking off towards Ken in a quick run, removing the chain from his hand while he rushes head forward in towards what he knows is a trap.

As soon as he gets close, Birdie grabs a hold of the chain, aiming to flinger it around in an arc, widely, around Ken and crush the life out of him. If it manages to get a hold of of course. Otherwise, he's just going to get demolished.

Still, if it hits clean, Ken's going to find himself being flung away towards the side of the arena, the heavy links falling apart. He's left himself wide open though, and for Ken, well, it's going to be a constricting experience.

COMBATSYS: Birdie successfully hits Ken with Bandit Chain.

Ken tries to leaps out of the way of the chain, clearly intending to flank the powerful man. It doesn't work. The chain wraps around Ken's neck and Ken gets slamed into the ground. Ken looks a bit red in the face, but still has a hella lot of fight still in him.

Swiftly, Ken pulls on the chain with both hands, trying to pull in Birdie close enough to get one hand around his jacket. With one hand on the chain and the other on the vest (assuming Ken gets both), the Street Fighter will roll back a few times to get momentum and hurl Birdie toward a wall by pushing the massive man off of him with a single leg. Should Birdie hit the wall, Ken will then flip back to his feet and just pull down Birdie from the wall using his own chain. At least that's the plan. If it works just like he wanted... Well, that's a different matter all together.

COMBATSYS: Birdie endures Ken's Jigoku Fuusha.

Birdie. Oh yeah Birdie's really not going to like this. This is the first time his weapon was actually used against him. Ken is a fighter of experience, and Birdie's experiencing this level of knowledge for the first time. He tries to fight the strength of Ken, but it's pulled anyways. Birdie goes flying forward. But Birdie digs his feet until just the right time.

"I'm sorry bloke, you're families gonna have to... wai-" And Birdie is hurled forward. Going towards the wall? He sure is. But as he hits the wall, he pulls hard on the chain once, the pain of the strike breaking through his back and body, but still he fights on. The giant has only a few chances to hit this guy, and he's taking it, even if the wall just sent a ton of pain through his back, presumably wrecking him. Some of his back is already raw.

But rocketing right at Ken, through the air and landing right in front of him. Birdie attempts to ram right into Ken, hair piece first into his chest. If that manages, the Murderer Chain's already back around Ken's neck, ready to send him hurling into the air, and then back down towards the ground. It might hurt. Just a pinch.

COMBATSYS: Ken auto-guards Birdie's Bull Revenger!

Birdie's blow is stopped by... A foot? Ken's foot is brought straight up, holding itself at the perfect angle to dig itself on the side of Birdie's face, keeping that painful headpiece from giving him a reverse 'Sagat'. After a second or two of struggling, Ken pushes the head away, trying to keep Birdie close so he can switch feet, trying to bring his other foot straight up as well to kick the upper chest area before coming down to nail Birdie's knee. Normally, it would be the head and shoulder area targeted, but the gangster is a little too big for Ken to manage that. Hit or miss, Ken gives a smirk before he offers his usual prideful statement.

"Please tell me you're just warming up... Because I know I still am."

COMBATSYS: Birdie blocks Ken's Inazuma Kakato Wari.

Birdie's a weakling sometimes. And sometimes Birdie can actually hold is own. But when Birdie finds that his furious charge was stopped by... a foot? He's none happy. Thrashing wildly to get by the foot, he just ends up looking stupid. Pulling himself back in time as Ken begins his speech, he grits his teeth, bringing those massive arms up to stop the double kick.

"No worries bloke. I don't want to bore you." Birdie offers through labored breathing before firing off a gargantuan punch towards Ken's chest. It would usually be chest, and so he fires it at his chest. Almost his entire chest. It all depends on how you look at Birdie. He's massive either way.

COMBATSYS: Ken dodges Birdie's Fierce Punch.

Ken sidesteps at the last possible second. The massive arm goes to past where he once was, Ken just giving a "Tsk tsk" before he takes to the air. He tries to give a swift kick to Birdie's chin, though considering his size, it will likely feel like a strong breeze or something. Upon landing, despite the result, Ken seems amused. "You're better than I thought you would be, give you credit for that much."

COMBATSYS: Ken successfully hits Birdie with Light Kick.
- Power hit! -

Birdie's ready to take any thing. Anything at all. And when Ken fires the light kick at his chin, Birdie knows what's going to happen, so he sticks out his chin out to take the damage. AND WHAM. The light kick dismantled him, sending Birdie backwards and rolling towards the side. He falls in a pile of himself almost spinning to a stop. Those light kicks are a menace!

Birdie is weak to strong breezes of course.

So upon getting back up, Birdie looks to Ken and as e pivots to get himself up, he fires out something that isn't expected! Himself. Throwing himself forward in an attempt to run Ken into the wall, aiming to stab Ken in the gut with his HAIR. However if Ken gets out of the way it's just going to look silly for Birdie.

COMBATSYS: Ken interrupts Bull Horn Final from Birdie with Shoryuken.

The bull man comes racing for Ken Masters. Normally, people would freak out, but Ken is not a normal person. He pulls his hand to his side, waiting for Birdie to close the gap. That in mind, his fist bursts into flames as he comes within a couple of feet. Ken leaps into the air, letting his fist coat itself with flames as it meets with Birdie's chin. Ken lands on the ground, holding his right shoulder where the hair piece actually gave a decent scratch, drawing quite a bit of blood that runs down his forearm. He seems still able to flex it without too much of a problem though.

"Sorry, I guess I forgot my own strength there," he says as he tosses his hair aside with a lopsided grin.

The brute sees stars even before the move hits. It's like a premonition of 'you screwed this up big time' kind of things. As Ken readies for it, the hand bursts into flames and takes Birdie into the air. Even for how much he ways and how much mass he has, he still goes flying into the, the chi flames consuming his figure here and there as he's hurled backwards and into the wall. Striking the wall, and then falling forward to his face, Birdie breathes heavily. He still has a moment before he gives in.

But Ken just demolished him so hard, he's going to stay down and bleed. Usually Birdie would do it anyways to be the revenging bull and teach him. But Ken has more important things to.

Meanwhile Ken's hair gets growled at by Birdie's hair. It's angry.

The last thing really didn't happen. Birdie must have been imagining it in knock out land, cuts and bruises and fire damage about his body. Medic?!

COMBATSYS: Birdie takes no action.

COMBATSYS: Birdie can no longer fight.

COMBATSYS: Ken has ended the fight here.

There is a long pause as Ken waits for Birdie to get up. To get his second wind. He doesn't. This is the second time Ken's wiped the mat with someone his powerful uppercut. He looks to his fist, light wisps of smoke about it now. Maybe he has become a lot more powerful now. He has learned to take his power and utilize it to the max. Perhaps it's finally time to get that rematch with Geese. But the question is, should he do it in or out of some organized event? Only time will tell...

Meanwhile back in the normal reality, the ref calls for a win while a couple of field medics come swiftly to Birdie's aid. A handful of few people that fight in Ken's arena will ever be refused medical assistance after fighting him. Regardless of background, Ken figures it is the least he can do in respect for the art of fighting.
