Ayame - Operation - Not A Tourist

Description: Target: Some silly foreign tourist. Obstacle: Said tourist. Alias: None. Summary: Sergio has had nothing but pleasant times during his stay in Southtown. Ayame intends to add just another reason for him to think that maybe hea nd the Japanese locale just don't get along too swell. A dark alley serves as the site of this next mugging attempt gone awry.

No where in Southtown is safe from her! Or, well, that's what she'd like to think, anyway. Her success rate lately hasn't been too impressive. She even failed in bullying a little boy with glasses... all he did was give her a map and a ticket and prattle on about some loopy destiny. It sounds like a con game to her. She should know.

The streets of Chinatown can be difficult hunting grounds. It's challenging to locate people who aren't practitioners of some kind of Kung Fu or some other martial art that makes them a lot harder to assault than she likes. But that doesn't mean there aren't victims here too. Some people stand out... Sometimes it's because they dress different, or they tower over the average resident or maybe something else about them just makes them seem completely out of place.

Ayame is sure she'll find one. Perched atop an old rusted fire escape on the side of an aging, run down apartment building, the girl looks over the edge or through the grill at anyone wandering around the streets below. The alleyway between the narrow buildings is the ideal spot to catch someone, though the sort of people that wander into said alleys tend not to be bearing anything worth lifting anyway. Can get lucky at times though. Usually she just has to settle with luring potential marks into the shadows somehow.

The girl lifts her hand to brush her long, red-blonde hair back over her shoulder as her brown eyes scan the populace below. Evening isn't too far off, which means the shadows are growing long. Perfect. Her attire is an odd assortment of clothing she's shoplifted or outright stolen from people, a mixture of reds and blacks, and various nicknacks, chains, and other jewelry, her prime and proper Seijyun student disguise having already been stowed away.

One of the buildings has nothing more than a flush wall inside the alleyway, but the other has a nondescript door. There's not much going on around, but after a few minutes that door opens, and the sound of blaring dance music can suddenly be heard. Out of it steps a hip young man that looks to be in his early twenties. "Look old man, it's like I said, thirty and under only, that's the rules."

Stepping out a few moments later with a frown on his face is a tall, darkly tanned man in clothes the younger man probably wouldn't be caught dead in. "Come on, I've got more goin' for me than you could even dream of." The Italian crosses his arms, and rolls his eyes, stepping away from the door.

"Yea, whatever. Besides," The kid smirks, "The girls here don't want any foreigners unless they're American."

An angry look suddenly forms on the mans face as the younger man steps inside and shuts the door, closing off the door to the hole in the wall club. A stream of cursing in Italian comes from the taller man who looks like he's about to hit the door, before he sighs and switches back to English. "Fine. There're better places around anyway. What the hell is with this country? Stupid punks..."

At the sound of the door slaming open, Ayame leans down, on hands and knees as she watches through the grill the small drama play out below. Hm. Foreigner. Dresses like he's fresh of the boat from Europe. She recognizes the Italian language for what it is and is even familiar with a few of the unsavory words. Poor guy, she smirks, crawling over to the edge of the fire escape landing to get a clearer picture.

Hm. Tall. But them's the genetics. Doesn't mean anything. She's toppled bigger folks than him. Bigger they are... as the saying goes.

In her right hand is a rod of re-bar. No, it isn't for sapping the guy on the back of the head. Though that wouldn't be beneath her either. It's for distraction. Pushing herself to her feet, she tosses the re-bar over her shoulder, allowing to fall down toward the allyway where it will bang against the top of a closed dumpster. At the same moment, Ayame leaps down from off her perch with the intent to land behind Sergio as he turns to try and spot whatever just caused that loud disruption.

The moment her feet touch down, she'll try to shove him over with both her hands pressed against his back. Like clockwork, the ambush is intended to give her the time to pat him down for a wallet, swipe a watch, rip off any necklaces... All in all, a smash and grab - except instead of a store counter, it's some guy in an alley way.

Sergio's completely unaware that there's anyone looking towards him at all. He stares at the door for a moment longer and then turns away from it, to head out of the alley and find another club. There had to be some places around as good as this one that'd admit him. He understands that part of the reason this place is good is their age policy, but he just isn't like other people his age; especially not the office type older guys who seem to be prevalent in Japan.

But for the moment his mind shifts on other things as there's suddenly a really loud clang behind him. "What the..." He stops for a moment and turns around to try and find out what the hell the loud noise was, just in time to feel a firm shove from behind, the world suddenly tilting as the ground comes up to greet him. "Augh!" Though he's plummeting to the ground, he seems to have quick enough reflexes, as his arms suddenly rush down and hit the ground before him, deadening the impact. Then there are hands going over him. ...feminine hands?

About the only thing on him is his wallet, no jewelry of any kind to be found on his body. An admittedly poor mark, from a financial perspective. Once his wallet is grasped, however, he realizes what's going on. On one hand, he's angry. On the other he doesn't think any would be mugger stands a chance at getting away with any of his money. When the wallet is being removed, his hand snaps out, attempting to grab the wrist or forearm attached to the hand taking it, and rolls over to face his assailant. He nearly laughs. "Well if you wanted a feel you could have just asked."

She noticed that he caught himself out of the fall. A bit of a surprise. People his age don't tend to be ready to recover that quickly when startled just prior to an attack. But he's down all the same and she's going to make quick work of this mugging and high tail it out of here all the same. At least, that's what she thinks.

Straying hands quickly accertain the extent of his possessions. There's no time to frown at the lack of anything shiney, but a wallet is always good. Even if there isn't a lot of cash up front, credit cards tend to be useful as long as she acts fast and makes some purchases before they get shut down. The entire search and snatch transpires in a flurry of a couple of seconds. That Sergio has the wherewirthall to realize what is going on in time to even try to react is a testament to his abilities to some degree.

The girl's wrist is snagged as her hand draws back with the billfold, the strength in his hand more than sufficient to stop Ayame cold for a moment as she blinks back at his laugh with a bit of surprise. A lithe native in her late teens clothed in a bizarre assortment of dark colored blouse, skirt, and shoes, along with the various accoutrement's stolen from others in the past such as the red tie or random chains around her necklace... The punk'ish girl might have just followed the suave Italian out of the club for all anyone would be able to tell.

She's been caught - but her mind works fast, reacting to the change in circumstances as she unfreezes an instant later. Her left hand comes up to try and snag the wallet out of her clenched right, "You should've just stayed down," she notes, not really sounding sorry that he didn't. In fact, there's a certain detatchment all around with how she looks at him, almost clinical in a sense, like she doesn't even think of him as a person.

At the same time she tries to hand off the wallet she brings her left leg forward to try and stomp the Italian hard in the stomach before following up with a strong sideways kick down against the shoulder of the arm holding her in place. A parting gift to pry herself free and allow her to speed off!

COMBATSYS: Sergio fails to interrupt Heavy Kick from Ayame with Strong Throw.

Unfortunately for Ayame, this isn't the first time he's been rolled. Not even close. He's been on the 'wrong side of the tracks' most of the time he's ever been inside a city. That's where all the fun is, after all. Because of this, he's had plenty of encounters with people who want to take his stuff, though for the most part they aren't as bold as Ayame has been. Point a gun and say it's a stick up? Sure. Just shove him down and get to work, ignoring his size? Nope.

Despite this, he fails to recognize the skill of the person he's up against. He sees a small Japanese girl trying to rob him. The shove that he caught himself was wasn't especially hard, and so when the kick comes he gets an idea in his head that he'll simply catch the foot, and then flip her off of her feet afterwards. Big mistake. He catches the foot alright, and then his hand is driven right back into his gut before she spins around and hits him hard in the side again, sending him rolling away.

And that -hurt-. It hurt far more than any normal girl of her size could have done to him. His teeth are clenched now, and a lot of the humor has drained from him. He begins getting up, her wallet firmly in her grasp. "Jesus. I know to watch out for the young girls -on- the fighting circuit, but I have to look out for them -off- it too? This city is seriously messed up." Nevermind that he himself is more than he appears.

She kicked him pretty solidly. That he's dealing with someone with training in the infliction of pain or injury is impossible to deny now. But with how he's still getting up after that the little thief begins to realize that he's pretty rugged for some silly tourist. And as he speaks about fighting circuits it becomes pretty clear that as far as marks go, she definitely could have picked an easier one.

There's a moment of hesitation then as the girl freezes again, long hair falling down against her back as she actually stands still for a moment. With his wallet in her hand, though, the ball's in her court, in her mind and while he might be a powerful fighter in his own right, she's got no end of tricks of her own.

As he pulls himself to his feet, she realizes that simply outrunning him might not work out so well. Time to force him into a conundrum. Opening the billfold, she's quick to extract any currency as well as any plastic that looks like an ATM card or credit card at a glance before folding the wallet closed and... hurling it right back at him... Only, the trajectory is a bit deceiving, it's actually going to fly over his head, maybe even out of his reach.

Most people get distracted when their wallet gets thrown right back at them. That makes it all the easier for Ayame to make her escape in that precious moment of indecision. A move she decides to make as the girl turns on her heels, "Welcome to Southtown," she adds, insult to injury, even going so far as to offer him a cheerful wave and a sickeningly sweet smile over her shoulder like some kind of twisted amusement park tour guide before starting to make her escape. Welcome to Southtown indeed.

COMBATSYS: Ayame takes no action.

Well shit.

The money flies over his head. ...that's good, he was actually expecting it to hit him and hurt him, as made obvious by raised arms. What? Even a bit of plastic in the hands of a fighter can be made to a deadly weapon. Hell, look at that guy who fights using playing cards! But with his arms up, he realizes he's made a dreadful mistake, as she now has the time to run the hell away. And he's... well, she could have probably just run and have been better off.

"HEY!" Sergio yells, running after at a not so fast pace. He realizes there's no way in hell he can beat her in a footrace, and so the second he gets out of the alley he reaches into his shirt and pulls out a rope. You never know when you'll need a good rope. "Not so fast, girly!" He quickly flings that rope forward as fast as he can, and around it forms a swirling vortex of water, almost like a miniature tornado. Now, normally this would be at neck level to try and choke someone, but for her it's a bit different; he's trying to wrap up her legs and drop her to the ground.

The wallet discarded, along with some of the credit cards in it, Ayame slips the rest of the cash and remaining debit or credit looking card into the leather pouch affixed to her belt. She expects that Sergio will give chase, but hopes that her distraction will give her a head start. She's a speedy devil - she hasn't gotten by this long without being arrested by being slow, after all.

But even as she maintains that glance over her shoulder, her smile fades quickly as she sees him pull out a rope from his shirt. What kind of guy walks around with a rope on him?! Then again, the same thing could be asked of her... Ayame's hand slips back into that leather pouch, pulling out a coil of very thin rope, herself. Wire-thin yet strong as a cable, a small metal object dangles from the end of the string. A rope dart. Deadly, hard to predict weapon that originated in China...

And now is going to be showcased in Chinatown! Keeping one end of it wrapped around her left hand, Ayame hops forward, spinning around in air to swing out toward the energy imbued rope with her own rope dart, hoping to snare it around it in such a way as to be able to steal his rope from him and seal off Sergio's last chance of snagging her...

But she underestimated just how much power that vortex added to the incoming projectile so while her own rope dart does collide with it, it barely manages to slow it down. Still in mid-air, Ayame ends up snared around one ankle rather than both feet. It's enough to stop her short though, the girl falling to the ground on her back with a light gasp, her leg hurting from both being twisted a little from the landing as well as the punch that chi of Sergio's was packing. "Ow, ow," she winces, sitting up quickly to try and free her ankle quickly. The cable for the rope dart is still around her left hand though... with all he's seen her do, does he dare get close enough to the girl to reclaim his card and money?

Though imperfect, Sergio's blast of water and rope did it's job. As for why he'd carry rope on him? One, situations just like this, and two, rope is one of the handiest of all tools. Being a wanderer, he's never without any. As to why he keeps it in his shirt... that's a mystery, yea.

He's risking trouble by continuing to follow. The money he isn't terribly worried about, but one of those pieces of plastic represents his ability to legally live within Japan. If that goes away it's going to be a serious pain in the ass trying to get another one, never mind explaining how he, a registered fighter, lost it by being mugged by a teenage girl. She could have thrown it at him already, but then she could still have it on her. He'll go after her first, and then check back at the ones she threw in the alley later.

Even with that rope dart in her hand, it really doesn't seem to be deterring him in the slightest. If he has to take some risks, fine, but he's getting his stuff back. At this point he knows she isn't going to come peaceably, though, and so rather than yelling for her to stop, the second he manages to catch up to her he'll hold his palm out and try and hose her down a bit more with a blast of water, and then try and lift her up from the ground, turn her away from him and put her in a headlock. It's... backwards from how he normally does it, but it'll have to do!

COMBATSYS: Sergio successfully hits Ayame with Riptide.

Oh jeez, oh jeez. How did she get snared like this? She's better than that. She's faster than that. And she /REALLY/ needs to do better at picking people to mug. Sitting on the ground, her right hand finally manages to slip the rope off of her ankle, giving her the chance she needs to... get nailed by a fire hose worth of chi based water, as it turns out. She rolls and raises her hands, trying to get out of the way but his aim is pretty good for a human hydrant.

The girl is still squirming though, rolling over onto her side and starting to push herself up to her feet, undeterred in her attempts at getting away, though her actions are a bit less high and mighty, rather panicked in a sense. A split second from getting away, in spite being annoyingly drenched for the moment, Sergio closes in and manages to get a grip on her, hefting the light girl off the ground into the head lock, the rope dart dangling uselessly from her left wrist.

"Grrk," she squeaks in a rather undignified manner as he finally gets that hold on her he's probably wanted for a while now. But Ayame is a problem maker and as a problem maker, she does have tricks for getting OUT of tight spots like this. Gritting her teeth, she gives up trying to pry herself out of his hold but instead reaches for that leather pouch on her belt with both of her hands, drawing out two metal objects... "Let me..." she wriggles, "Introduce you to..." she flicks her wists, revealing each of the metal objects to be a gleaming butterfly knife. "...two of my friends."

And with that, she tries to stab backward, swinging both of her arms past her waist. If Sergio isn't careful, he might find himself getting stabbed in the stomach by the little hoodlum.

Welp, it looks like Sergio's gonna get stabbed! His choices here aren't the best ones. He can try let her go and try and get away, let go and try to intercept the blades... or he can just stand there and take it. As stupid as it may seem, he opts for the latter of these three choices. The blades digging into his stomach and drawing very real blood. "RGH!" But if anything, his grip on her only /tightens/. "Listen, girl, you better give me my stuff back or you're going to be in for a /world/ of hurt! I don't like hitting girls, especially cute ones, but you're startin' to get on my nerves. Stabbin' me is just gonna piss me off!"
He tries to prove his point in a rather painful manner; by lifting his left fist, right one maintaining the chokehold, and slamming it into her side, a little globe of water surrounding his hand. He'd probably have tried something even stronger, but the odds of him pulling it off without losing his grip would be slim.

She stabs him and he... just TAKES IT?? Ayame's eyes widen. Anyone who isn't deterred by a couple of butterfly knives headed their way probably falls into the category of people that she really shouldn't be messing with. As much as she hates to do it, she drops the weapons to the ground where they land with metallic sounds, freeing her hands for her last resort.

Again her hand darts into that infernal pouch attached to her belt, this time coming out with a six inch long metal tube, two inches in diameter... Not too scary in its own right, but it's what comes next that might merit reconsidering this attempt to wrestle the girl down. With a push of a button on the tube, what was a small object expands outward into a full length, six foot long staff in almost an instant.

It's that metal staff that Ayame uses to absorb most of the impact of Sergio's incoming fist, though some of his chi still gets past it and strikes her in the side. In the next moment, the entire length of the weapon flares up with a vibrant, red chi... And from there the girl leverages the long weapon into swinging that staff backward in order to strike Sergio in the stomach with a reverse, arcing strike. She follows it up by swinging the other end of the staff up and over her shoulder to aim for his right shoulder in order to weaken that hold he has on her... before finishing by taking advantage of his looosened hold to spin around entirely, like a helicopter from hell, as she aims the final strike toward the side of his head with the titanium pole with an accompanying discharge of the red chi into a small explosion.

Freed from Sergio's grip, the girl pauses to crouch down and pick up the two butterfly knives with her left hand, her right hand maintaining a hold on that staff. Each is flipped closed and slipped into her pouch... it seems the little thief highly prizes her deadly toys.

In retrospect, it probably wasn't the brightest of ideas, but he didn't want to lose his grip. Unfortunately, what Ayame has in store for him next doesn't give him the slightest bit of choice in the matter. The clattering of the knives to the ground sound like a minor victory to him, but when his fist suddenly slams into a metal pole, he realizes something bad is about to happen. And that's when he's jammed in the stomach with the pole, now suddenly encased in energy. "Oof!"

That hurt. It nearly doubles him over, but he manages to hold on. Wham! It smashes into his shoulder, and his grip weakens enough so that she can break free... and the pole smashes into the side of his head, with an explosion for additional pain. He goes down, not entirely unlike a sack of potatoes, and hits the ground hard.

However, as she bends down and picks up the knives, he proves to be completely conscious, by speaking. "Lady, you should have just run away." As quickly as he can manage, he's back to his feet. But it's not to reach out and try and snag her again. Instead he's moved into an improved karate power stance, legs spread wide apart. His and comes back, and he suddenly thrusts it forward with incredible power. "HAAH!"

That might seem entirely unimpressive for the moment, but then the ground rumbles and shakes, and then all of a sudden... it rends. A stupidly large torrent of water tears the sidewalk asunder, directly under Ayame's feet. If she didn't take that rumbling as a warning she could be in for some real danger here, as huge chunks of concrete are ripped up along with it. You might think that a water main was torn apart from the power and volume of the flow, but in reality it's just the incredible power of the man standing before her.

If she had just taken off running, she probably would have stood a chance at getting away while Sergio spends time wondering where that staff just came from that she smacked him around with. But the idea is actually come out of this ordeal ahead and losing some of her weapons in the process certainly doesn't constitute a 'profit'.

The foreigner sounds less than cheerful as he gets back to his feet, but the would be thief is already ready for whatever stunt he thinks he's going to pull next. "I'm going to," she replies with regards to running for it. After all, his attempts to subdue her and reclaim his card(s) and money haven't quite been met with success just yet. But then comes his shifted stance and outstretched hand with... well, no immediate effect. Tapping her staff lightly against her shoulder, Ayame offers an entirely unfriendly smile. "Having a tantrum about it isn't going to change things, best to just get over it and-"

Her advice is cut short right along with the sidewalk beneath her feet as the true nature of Sergio's attack becomes apparent. A sidestep keeps her from being hit directly as the girl bunkers down behind the staff, using it to knock some of the larger chunks of concrete from side to side while left getting blasted by a fair amount of the water with enough force to stumble her into the wall of the building behind her. The torrential attack subsides and Ayame lowers her staff, eyes narrow at the fissure left in the walkway. "You know, you could get busted for vandalism doing that!" she remarks in Sergio's direction, pushing herself off from the wall, doing her best to sound unperturbed by what she just saw. "You sure are persistant though," she adds, allowing a hint of annoyance to slip into her tone.

"I guess you leave me with no choice..." The girl bunkers down behind the six feet of durable titanium and starts spinning the staff swiftly in front of her. Channeling a white aura along the weapon as she spins it faster and faster. "You brought this upon yourself!" Ayame explains as the girl finally swings the weapon out and to the side in front of her, sending the entire swath of shimmering white energy crashing toward Sergio. Already she begins to back up as well, though doesn't risk turning around on him this time - he's got about as many tricks as /she/ does, she's learned.

Well, that seemed to quiet her down, for at least a little bit. She was definitely able to deal with much of the crashing water and debris, but some of it was still able to get through. That's one of the major reasoning behind that attack though, even if they manage a defense, unless it's complete evasion it's more than likely going to end up hurting quite a bit. So she's left hurt, but still able to keep on fighting him off. As for her comment, "Yea, well, most people who'd be writing the ticket are a little too worried about getting in the way of one of those to bother."

Whatever the case is, though, it looks like she's ramping up for something big. White energy builds up in the staff... is she going to try to blast him, or hit him with it, he wonders? He finds out quickly enough, and decides to just hunker down and take it, crossing his arms in front of his face. A moment later the energy washes over him... and completely blows him away, knocking him off his feet and sending him onto his back.

"Uhhhg... wrong choice." Maybe he should have tried to jump out of the way or something. He lets out a quick sigh, and then rolls onto his feet as best he can, only to see Ayame inching away from him. "Hey! Not so fast, that was pretty good, but not enough to stop me!" He frowns slightly, considers his options, and then decides just to let loose. Power builds up inside of him for a short moment, and then he releases it all at once. A massive wave of water forms up behind him, sweeping him up inside of it and rocketing him towards Ayame. What she might fail to notice is that there's another directly behind her as well, attempting to sweep her right off her feet and send her crashing into Sergio inside of his own wave.

It seems that something goes right with the attack, and Ayame is swept up. The two massive waves come together and collide, and in the center of this Sergio pulls both his fists back and then slams them right into Ayame's stomach as hard as he can manage, powerful eddies swirling about them and tearing into her all the while. A few moments later the water is gone, as if it was never there.

Thinking it's time to make a run for it as the man is knocked clean off his feet, Ayame collapses that staff back down to the small tube it was when she withdrew it moments ago and starts to run away, still looking over her shoulder to watch out for any follow up attacks. She actually gets some yardage this time too, smirking as she notices the tidal wave of force coming from his direction. "Hah, too slow!" she taunts over her shoulder before looking forward and running directly into the twin brother of the wave coming from her so called victim.

Washed right back toward the very man she sought to get away from, she manages to spin around and face him directly, attempting to land a hit amid the energy pulling her every which way, but all she ends up doing is lining herself up for the twin punch into her gut, the force crumpling the girl easily as Sergio finally gets to land a solid hit against her.

As the water collapses around them and vanishes, the younger of the two remains standing, though her complexion has paled significantly, and her right hand is pressed against her stomach as she thinks she's about to be sick. A stumble backward takes her against the wall, the surface lending essential support for a moment as she tries to focus back on Sergio. "Lucky hit," she replies, still trying to sound tough even as her vision blurs, only to follow the retort with a very un-tough sounding cough.

Uncertainty has definitely set in as she pushes herself off, finally unwrapping that rope dart that had she'd coiled around her wrist a little while back. Charging, or rather, stumbling forward, she tries to ensare one of Sergio's limbs; arm, leg, neck, it doesn't much matter - anything will do to open him up for...

The little metal anchor serves to entangle the strong rope around Sergio's wrist and Ayame lunges to the side, still holding the rope wrapped around her left wrist. Her right hand slips into the top of her black blouse, pulling out a thin metal object that she flicks open to reveal it to be an old fashioned, iron Japanese war fan, with a sharp, serrated edge. With her rope snug around Sergio's wrist, Ayame lunges forward, pulling his arm to the side as if to yank his defenses wide open so that she can follow up by swinging that sharp bladed fan in toward his chest... with the intent to just lay into him with five or six slashes if she has it her way. If the knives earlier weren't evidence enough, this should certainly confirm Ayame isn't squeamish about drawing blood.

Sergio definitely has to give this girl some credit. For the power of the blow she took, she didn't even hit the ground, and didn't even hesitate to come forward and start laying into him again. His last attack is powerful enough that it took quite a bit out of him, and so she manages to get that dart and wire wrapped around him. His arm is swung wide- and he realizes he's got to do something fast or he's in for a world of pain. As the fan makes it's first slash across his chest, his other arm immediately shoots up into the air, a geyser of water blasting straight up from just in front of his feet and soaking Ayame one final time, this one enough to break her grip on the dart and coil. "Sheesh, you just don't know when to give up, do ya?"

He glowers a bit at the blood now seeping from his chest and two spots on his stomach as well. Nothing he'll need to go to the hospital for, but he'll definitely have to patch himself up. "Alright, now lets see." Sure he has her beat by this point, what with hitting her with his most powerful move and all, he goes about trying to find where the hell she put the rest of his money and whether or not she's got his ID card.

COMBATSYS: Sergio has ended the fight here.

The final geyser takes the fight clean out of the girl at last. On shakey legs already, she feels her strength slipping away quickly. The sound of the dropped iron fan clanking against the ground seems like a distant echo as she stumbles back two steps... catches herself... only to slump forward down to her hands and knees. Gritting her teeth, it's almost like the girl intends to get up again as her muscles tense, even if she can't see straight. This guy is ridiculously tough, she realizes. She should have tested him more before actually going for the mugging. Might've gotten off way better than THIS outcome.

But a coughing fit settles in - a side effect from the punishing strike to her stomach moments prior, and Ayame falls sideways to end up lying on the ground in the rapidly evaporating puddle - the only evidence besides the damaged sidewalk of Sergio's incredible power.

The leather pouch affixed to her belt seems a likely place to search, but be careful with that, it's actually boobytrapped. If he's lucky and/or thorough, he'll notice the small clip on the inside of her skirt right down at the bottom with the hem. A perfect place for stashing cards when she's performing her sleight of hand tricks. His cash and ID card are both fastened in place there.

Unable to move much, her brown eyes are half lidded as she manages to speak once the coughing settles down, "...you better run..." she warns, which probably seems a pretty ridiculous threat considering her condition. "...or I'll scream," she struggles to croak out. Considering the circumstances? That actually MIGHT be a viable threat. Beaten and likely left empty handed, the girl still falls back on cheap tricks in hopes to keep the foreigner from wanting to carry out any kind of much overdue justice or turn her over to authorities or any number of other significant inconveniences.

Sergio sighs. This really isn't going to look very good. He's just beaten the heck out of her, and now he has to looks all over her while she's on the ground in order to get his stuff back. The first thing he notices is the pouch, which he goes for, and is promptly stabbed in the hand with a needle. "Ouch! What the-." His hand starts numbing up a bit, "Just great. That's just what I needed on top of all this." He makes an annoyed sigh and keeps about trying to find it, seemingly having trouble, since the pouch ended up being a no go. Then things get even more complicated, if possible.

"Scream?" He lets out a groan, that could be potentially damaging, yea. "Y'know what, just scream. If you go around robbin' people I'm sure you've got a rap sheet, and the last thing you'll want is the cops comin' over here and swarming you. Now tell me, where the heck is my cash?" It'd make sense that Sergio wouldn't be looking under her skirt, but as he's giving her a once over he sees the clip and, "You've got to be kidding me. It's there, isn't it?" He points at her skirt, "That's it, get that for me and hand it over. If I'm going to reach under a girls skirt in a conspicuous manner it's going to be doing something conspicuous, damnit."

She can't help but smirk a little as his hand finds itself pricked by the needle trap in the pouch affixed to her belt. She actually caught herself with the defense mechanism a few times when she first designed it, but has since learned how to withdraw the items she wants from it without getting stuck even in the heat of battle.

It seems he's called her bluff though because as he tells her to go ahead and scream and get it over with, Ayame remains completely quiet, slowly pushing herself up by her arms. Her expression is one significant petulance. How did she get bested by some TOURIST? As he figures out how she's hidden his stuff on herself, though, the girl's teeth clench. Having to surrender her ill gained goods is the /worst/! But he has her far too beaten for her to protest the demand. There's no arguing that. "Okay, okay," she replies, sounding like she's completely surrendered now. He beat all her tricks, called her bluffs. There's not a lot more she can hope to do to get one over on this guy.

Scowling and sitting up a little more, her legs out behind her, the girl reaches down to the hem of her skirt and plucks the cards and cash out from the clip that had been holding them. She can't help but glance at the ID card though, committing the information on it to memory in barely an instant before finally offering up his stuff, her head bowed to avoid having to look at him. Huh. Not a tourist after all.

Sergio takes the card and cash quickly so that she doesn't decide to change her mind. A grin comes to his face, "Thanks." He stuffs it all into one of his pockets, annoyed that now he's going to have to go back into the alley and get the rest of his stuff, and that's only if someone hasn't been by to snatch it and run. His left hand quickly becoming a club, Sergio looks down to Ayame, "Well, if it wasn't for the fact that you tried to rob me I'd thank you for the fight. Best I've had in a while. You should try joinin' the circuits, you'd do good there." Then he grins even more, "You'll make a lot more that way too, considering half the damn people in this town end up bein' able to fight back."

Too bad she's so young though, he likes girls with spunk. Probably a bit too much of that for his son though. She'd probably end up taking him for everything he's worth if they went out. So she looked at his ID card. ...he's going to invest in a security system for sure. "See you in the funny papers." That spoken he begins heading for the alley and the rest of his stuff.

Well, besides the sick feeling in her stomach... and having been beaten by someone she took to be a chump at first glance, Ayame realizes she hasn't gotten off TOO bad as Sergio seems inclined to leave her be now that he can reclaim his property. Could be worse, after all. Finding the strength to crawl over and reclaim her dropped fan, she folds it up and slips it back into whatever holster she's sewn into the inside of her black top. The small rope dart is collected as well, the girl slipping the object into her pouch after unclipping it from the end of the thin cable she had produced.

Fighting circuits again. He's not the first to suggest it to her. Seems like a lot of people put a lot of stock in fighting in those things. If she had more strength, she would've told him what she thought about those circuits and the people that run them, but she's barely keeping it together as it is, so he's spared any lip from the mouthy girl for right now.

Her own things collected, Ayame glances one last time after Sergio and hmphs. "Lucky hit," she tells herself again. Okay. Yeah. Lots of lucky hits. Yeah. That's it! Trying to console her hurt pride, Ayame staggers out of the alleyway back onto the streets. A shoplifted candy bar might make this a lot easier to get over.
