Neo League 476 - #496: Birdie vs Ryo

Description: Birdie and Ryo fight in England, on top of one of the many double decked busses! Ryo wins this round, and Birdie learns to fear the Haoh Sho Ko Ken! (Winner: Ryo)

Everyday is an excuse for a Neo League Fight. Today is no different than the day before this, or the day that tomorrow will bring.

But today, this Neo League Fight is in Europe! More importantly, it's in England. And Birdie is from England!

And that's why today's fight is being held there, on top of a double decker bus that's driving around the streets. Nothing's been taken out, but it is wider than usual. Everything here can be used as a weapon. Even the seats. Around the bus, there is a rough plexiglass to contain chi and psi alike, and as well, keep the fighter on top of the bus.

We wouldn't want to lose any of them to traffic! Especially to the cars full of camera's following the bus.

Birdie, stationed on the back of the bus, just awaits, laying up against the plexiglass, his massive arms besides him. He just grins, not knowing what he's in for. Hell, whatever it is, it'll be interesting.

The Brit's back in town, that's all he cares about.

The bus and it passenger goes around the streets unopposed for a good while, just striding through with little problem or any chaos at all. It's.../boring/, really. Intensely boring, even!

Ryo Sakazaki, standing proudly on the roof of a building, silently watches the bus passing by the street he's facing. Smugly, he grins, unfolding his arms and, simply, leaps off. "REAAAAAAAH!"

VLAM! The Invincible Dragon lands brutaly on the roof of the bus, slowly standing and recovering from his fall and point at the tall, big man in the back.

"Hey, there! You must be Birdie! I'm here for the match!"

Birdie has to admit, the man that literally barreled off the roof of a building only to jump right smack dab on the roof of the bus was rather unexpected. Birdie thought Ryo was going to use an easier entrance. Like the stairs, but this only means that Ryo is terribly awesome, and Birdie, well, he just grins.

"Yeah? Bloke, I'd welcome you with open arms but I think you've already let yourself in!" The man bellows as he lets loose a rather powerful laugh. Moving right towards Ryo, he hulks, almost dragging his arms across the ground towards the blonde haired, orange outfitted Kyokugen man. "So I guess this'll have to do instead!" Birdie cries as he begins to run.

And run he does, right towards Ryo, like a bull. A giant, black, musclebound bull. Fully intent on running the Invincible Dragon over with his... uh, fist! To his chest. King me. Touch down?

"Eyaaaaaaaaaaah!" Birdie grunts, just to put a little more pepper on it.

COMBATSYS: Birdie has started a fight here on the right meter side.

Hm! Seems like a decent enough fellow, just by looking at this guy! It wont be an easy fight, but it'll be a fun fight, he's pretty sure of that.

Ryo lets out an hearty laugh at that, shaking his head. "Well! Thanks anyway! Come on!"

He flexes his knees down, outstretching his arms, taking his renowed battle stance and...steps back. That should have been enough to avoid the lunging punch, but clearly he either overstimated his step or understimated the reach and size of the british's fist.

As such, the punch grazes him, pushing him backward a step or two. Hrm. That kinda stung!

"Hah! You've got a good punch!" The Invincible Dragon shouts before charging back at Birdie, litteraly sliding accross the ground with an elbow aimed at his chest, quickly followed up by an uppercut. "REAAAAH!"

COMBATSYS: Birdie endures Ryo's Mouko Raijin Gou.

Birdie's punch only seems to graze off of Ryo. But then something weird happens. A sensation that Birdie hasn't felt before in while. The strike the man throws at him is quick, and not only that. It stings.

Birdie's literally sent doubling back by the elbow to the chest, only for the uppercut on his jaw to sent him sky born for at least a second before the giant falls back down, the impact on the roof literally shaking the entire bus as it hurries down the road. But Birdie made sure to do something during. During the strike the man threw at him.

As, while on the ground, Birdie's chain seems to be already pre-unraveled, the heavy links leading across the ground. "Yeah, you too bloke. You... really got some strength on ya! Oi! That actually knocked the wind out of me!" Birdie answers, trying to keep Ryo busy.

As he grabs hold of the chain with his right hand, trying to tighter the heavy links around Ryo's feet. If he manages it in time, Ryo would probably most likely be battered against the opposite plexiglass wall with a quick hurl.

"EYAAaaaaah!"

COMBATSYS: Ryo dodges Birdie's Bandit Chain.

It almost worked. Ryo didn't notice the chains for a good moment and Birdie talking helped with that. "So I've seen! Come on! Let's give it our best--What!?"

That's when the Dragon noticed what the British fight is gripping with his hands -- chains. Logic takes over and he follows where the chains leads to in a split moment...right around his feet.

Oh crap.

"Gywah!" Ryo cries out, hopping high and away from the chain hold before it becomes too tight and dangerous, landing a few paces away. "Hahah! That was close! Way too close!" He shouts, reeling back an hand, shaping it like a claw of sort. Bright blue energy gathers into it, gaze not leaving the chain-fighter a second. He'll have to watch him carefully -- thoses weapons is going to make this one heck of a tricky fight.

Yeah, it's just as he thought. A fun fight!

"KO'OU KEN!" He shouts, thursting his hand out and firing off a fireball down Birdie's way.

COMBATSYS: Birdie Toughs Out Ryo's Kuuchuu Ko'ou Ken!

Birdie only knows one thing. FIGHT. MAKES. RIGHT. And that's when Ryo finds out that the chains are not just for show! For Birdie, he damns. Damns that fighter, curses his name, and sings his praises. "Haha! You got me bloke, it was all show! You're bloomin' greased ain'tcha." Birdie calls towards Ryo as he gets up and out of the chain.

But then, when the blue claw like energy blast is begun, well, he fires it. Right towards Birdie. But Birdie, he's a card. He certainly is. As the blast rips towards him, he literally throws himself up -- and into the blast, disappearing into the blue energy claw for a moment. The strength is devastating, but Birdie throws himself through it, the chi leaving seared marks across his figure...

But then he comes down, right where Ryo does, and attempts to grab a hold of the man with two hands, one on each shoulder, "But bloke, it's my turn!" In the next few seconds, if Ryo doesn't think quick, a hole lot of horned headbutts are going to take place, and that's one mean hairdo!

Upon the last, Birdie tries to go all the way down, slashing down towards his chest, and finally, pulling up like a rhino, trying to use his own muscle against him, and literally hurl him into the seats behind him -- the wrong way!

COMBATSYS: Ryo dodges Birdie's Bull Revenger.

This guys is the proof that you shouldn't judge a book by it's cover. This huge guy fights /tricky/, real darn tricky! A little slow, maybe, but definetively got some tricks.

Ryo's eyes widen as he watches Birdie going straight at him with his deadly spiky hair first! He does think fast, stepping back just barely enough to avoid the slashing motions, his orange gi reciving a few gashes there and now but he's relatively unharmed. Or rather, not harmed at all.

He's gonna need another gi again after this. Sigh.

Once he reach the seats, he finds that he can't back up anymore at all -- but he can jump, which he does, landing a few rows back, balancing on them upright. He keeps silent, spreading out his arms as a wellspring of golden energy erupts from under him, surrounding the fighter. "RAAAAAAAAH!"

BOOM! Whatever he's doing there, it's flashy and it made a few seats fly away from the minor shockwaves that erupts from the aura!

COMBATSYS: Ryo gathers his will.

Ryo              1/------=/=======|==-----\-------\0           Birdie

As Ryo gathers his will, Birdie's not going to be one to stop coming after Ryo. Since like a bull, he's damn persistent. He'll probably keep on running towards you until you finally do stay down, which might take a while, but he has time.

"You're not just slipper you're bloody slippery." Birdie says as the man sails out of the way, mostly unharmed still. Well, Birdie can only see that whatever he's doing, it's not going to be pretty. The golden energy around him only reinforces that thought. So instead of just throwing in the towel, Birdie just goes for it.

Throwing himself full bore towards the man, he tries to make it as much of a convincing argument as he can.

By trying to literally grab onto him as he run, bear hug him REALLY tightly, while using the chain to constrict him.

COMBATSYS: Ryo endures Birdie's Strong Throw.

Ryo              1/---====/=======|===----\-------\0           Birdie

Very, very tricky, Ryo repeats to himself. It's mostly thoses chains, but man this guy is also pretty damn brutal.

He don't even try to avoid the grab, instead allowing himself to fully charge completly. He, on the spot, regrets it. The constricting and the bear hug squeezes the air out of him and probably almost broke a ribs or two...but he takes it stoicaly, instead concentrating on his arms.

It might be hard to notice, but they are glowing with the same bright blue energy of before. Might as well.

"Haoh..." Ryo mutters, out of breath, waiting for his energy to be fully charged.

Birdie should feel some burning right around his belly now...and probably even worse as Ryo uses all his energy to hit him with both palm, relasing all his chi into an enormous, horribly point-blank man-sized fireball wave.

"SHOOOOOO KO KEEEEEEN!"

He didn't think that one through, as he's still chained, but man...

COMBATSYS: Ryo successfully hits Birdie with Haoh Sho Ko Ken.

Birdie sure wasn't expecting that as he bear hugged the man. All he knows, is when he finally notices that Ryo was muttering his attack name, it was already too late. Moving back to try to endure it, work through the pain, it's just to fast, and he cannot. The blast of chi throws him back, back into the wall, before it finally ends.

Throbbing in pain, Birdie feels like he's been hit with a truck. Few things have done that much, and the ones that do he's managed to avoid. But this time, he's not so lucky.

His body literally screaming from the blow, light waves of smoke wafting off his defeated figure, Birdie sways, literally holding himself up by his massive arms, rising once more in protest.

"Eyaaaaaaaaaah!" Birdie grunts, hurling himself with half ill intention towards Ryo, knowing already that it's probably not going to end up well for him. The man excels at things he wished he could. And, well, he had almost no openings to work with.

Aiming to impale the man still, bull horn into his chest, he'll take him to the wall. If he's that lucky, a wave of punches follow in suit, pummeling into the fighters figure. Raw power.

The last power Birdie has, as each punch slow down, before finally coming to a stop.

Birdie sizzles like a turkey.

COMBATSYS: Birdie can no longer fight.

That Haoh Sho Ko Ken took a whole lot out of Ryo. As soon it was fired off, the Dragon stumbled backward, trying to catch his breath back from that horrible bear hug, coughing a few times.

He thought he had won and that it was over. How mistaken he was, he realized it quickly as soon he lifted his gaze up at the charging rhino of a man. Next thing he know, he's impaled by hair -- out of all things -- and punched to heck and back straight into the pelxiglass walls.

He slides to the ground, eyes closed for a good moment before he slowly, painfully staggers back to his feets and gaze down at the turkey cooked British man.

"...Errrng, yeah." Sakazaki begins to say, limping his way to a seat and catches a breather, looking at the knocked out chain guy. "You were no pushovers, dude."

COMBATSYS: Ryo takes no action.

COMBATSYS: Ryo has ended the fight here.

Birdie slumps to the ground, breathing pretty heavily. "Heh... yeah. You're a breath of fresh air too bloke. Tough as nails." The Britain stays there though. He's going to need to rest or he'll bleed himself out on the way out.

Ryo has won THIS Neo League.
