Description: With the new school year having arrived, and Kasumi proving to become a problem for her election plans, the young Kirishima looks to Zaki for help; although she had been avoiding the gangster for a while now, they're quick to make up.
Who knows how much time has passed since the Thailand incident, but the here and now is that the new school year will be starting soon. This means it's time for a lot of work and preperation on the part of Yurika Kirishima, whom more or less has been holing herself in her room if not relaxing by going out to bother Roberto.
Growing late in the evening, Yurika glances out of her window with a sigh. There's been a problem she simply hasn't.. Resolved yet, and the longer she puts it off, the more difficult it is for her to face it. But.. Time isn't on her side, and the girl in blue finally decides to walk from her desk, outside of her dorm room and head toward Zaki's room instead. The halls and the rec room is pretty quiet, her route goes unbothered, and once finally reaching Himezaki's door? She knocks on it lightly.
It's a very unique knock, Zaki should know right away that it's Yurika.
At the same time, though, everyone knows how long Zaki can hold a grudge and how likely she is to dwell on the past. And what they don't know, is just what the hell she's been up to lately. They've seen way less of her than even Yurika or Miu!
But she is there when Yurika comes knocking, and she's quite prompt to open the door just a crack and peek around from the side of it, showing just one cold blue eye and seeming all suspicious! "What do /you/ want?"
That is true, where -had- Zaki been anyway? Well, Yurika wasn't going to pry into it too much, but when the gangster chick opens the door, she's greeted by a smiling Yurika, which then becomes a look of suprise, she jumping slightly in response to the womans gaze.
Her response is a bit slow, she looks from side to side a moment, and then raises her hands in a prayer fashion, "Ah.. I.. Wanted to talk to you a moment, if you had the time.." she murmurs, though she really can't tell if Zaki is really evil eying her, or just looking out for someone else! Best to clarify that. "Are.. You in trouble with the admin or something?"
Zaki slams the door in Yurika's face in what seems like a very rude fashion, and then there's this long awkward pause before one can hear a little chain rattling, and then the door opens up all the way and Zaki is laughing. "Sorry. Just fuckin' with you. Did you want to come in? Or does it matter?"
The gangster doesn't have on all of her uniform at the moment. Just kind of, the parts underneath, that not a lot of people even know are there.
When the door opens, Zaki sees the most shocked expression she had ever seen on Yurika. Her face bright red in embarassment and her jaw just... Slack.
She didn't think the door was going to re-open. In fact for a moment she thought that Zaki was completely pissed at her! So yes, the door opens, and it actually takes a moment for her to register that Zaki indeed say she was kidding.. in fact her hand rests on the doorrest for a moment, the other clutching at her heart as she slumps forward.
"... Not funny. You scared the hell out of me, I hate that." As if she would even have to say that. She supposed it may be better to step inside, so she does, closing the door carefully behind her. "I apologize for not coming around sooner, I'd.. Well.. Anyway, first of all I wanted to thank you for rescuing Akira." the girl pokes her pointer fingers togeather lightly, blush still on her cheeks. "I .. Ah.. I feel rather silly bringing it up so much later but I honestly mean it. Akira.. She means the world to me."
Zaki was barely able to resist busting out laughing again after hearing you admit how much it scared you. "Ah calm down already. I coulda waited even longer if I wanted this much drama." she ends up saying once the door is closed, walking back to her bed to sit with her legs crossed and her arms folded.
"Oh you did, huh? I'd kinda started to wonder, after a while. But you sound pretty sincere. You don't have to say anything else about it if it's this embarassing for you, though. That's kinda weird... But what else is on your mind?"
The musician seems to realize a little late that Zaki isn't completely dressed.. It actually doesn't look too bad. Scandelous, but not too bad. Not that she was interested in such a thing! Yurika doesn't let her eyes wander about the room too much either, though, instead continuing to look Zaki in the eyes, and rub at her own left arm. "I.. Appreciate that. It is a rather embarassing subject. But I did have another thing on my mind too, yes."
Fingertips pressed to fingertips, she takes a couple of steps forward, sort of taking a nervous pace. "Well, I've been thinking lately.. That I wanted to run for Student Council president here this year. And I realized you have a big influence on a lot of students here."
Its then that her gaze wonders around for a moment, but then back to the gangster, "I realize it's a little cheap to ask this but.. Do you think perhaps you could help try to help keep things in neutral? I just can't get through to the combat related clubs, which is a considerable portion of the populus. Ah, if you'd like, I could even show you all the ideas I'd had in mind that'd help out our fellow students."
Zaki raises one thin eyebrow at the mention of student council, seeming just a little surprised. But it's not that she thinks you wouldn't be right for it, or anything. Just that... "Isn't the election for that... tomorrow? That's kind of cutting it close. Were you really that afraid of what I'd say? Or maybe you thought I'd just.. overdo things a little.. " she muses.
But then she stands up and gets all serious, with her hands going to her hips! "Before I agree to anything, there's something I want you to understand. This may or may not be my last year here, I haven't decided. I could always fail on purpose like Daigo always does... But chances are that it is! And if it is my last year, then I want it to be better than all the others. Can you give me that kind of reassurance? If you can, then I don't think I need to hear all that other stuff."
Yurika gives a nervous little laugh, her shoulders going a bit.. Well.. Slouched as she nods to Zaki. Yeah, it is cutting it extremely close; in fact it's very unlike Yurika, but considering whom she had to deal with...
Judging by her sheepish look though, it's clear she was quite afraid. Clearly the lesson here is that Yurika needs to stop 'running away' from her problems. She straightens up when Zaki looks more serious though, she doesn't have to think about Zaki's 'request' of sorts for very long at all. "Zaki-san.. You're such an odd girl, I don't know what to do with you regarding your future outside of Seijyun.. However I can guarantee that this year for you, will blow your previous years out of the water.. But it's a suprise, so I can't tell you what it is until later."
And the musician smiles assuringly. It's clear that whatever she has in mind, she's quite excited about it!
Zaki crosses her arms again at being called odd, but ends up shrugging her shoulders and flopping back down onto the bed now that the time for being serious is over. It doesn't even sound like she needs to argue if you can say that much in confidence about what she's asked of you in return for the support you need.
"Alright, well since there's so little time to spread the word I'd better get on the phone here in a second and start making some calls. It can't even wait till morning at this rate. But I'm afraid there's really nothing I can do about Kasumi. And she's not gonna be happy when I get some of her favorite kendo girls to change their vote, so you'd better get someone to watch your back. Maybe Akira. Because she *will* find out. She knows ninjas."
Yurika raises her gloved hand to her cheek, and.. Well, she gives an apologetic smile again. "It was really irresponsible of me to wait so late, I'm sorry.."
But Yurika also seems mildly confused. When she talked to Kasumi, the girl said that she had nothing to worry about; but she couldn't address the issue directly anyway. This would be the best the musician could do for now.
"That is fine, I.. Believe I will avoid running away, that isn't going to work for me anymore anyway." But needing someone to watch her back? Was it really that bad? "Ah well.. If that's true, I suppose I'd better set up some things as soon as I possibly can. Zaki-san, I'm really grateful for this, I can't thank you enough for your help. Um.. But I suppose I'd just be in your way at this point. But lets go out soon, ok? I've been thinking lately we should talk to Akira about her fighting style shift as of late, too."
Zaki gives a quick couple of nods. "It's fine, don't worry about it. Things will be more even for you tomorrow regardless of how late it is." She then hmns thoughtfully and looks up toward the ceiling a moment. "Well, she's trying to make it seem like it doesn't matter to her one way or another because she's graduating early, but I don't believe it. I've been hearing things. Like I said though you don't really have to worry, the kendo club is pretty small."
And having said that, the redhead begins to reach for her phone and start dialing a number while waving you off. "Take care then. And yeah, we'll definitely have to do that. It's really gotten out of hand I think."
