Description: A friendly game of laser tag between friends after two particularly grueling matches. Red Team (Arika and Elton); Blue Team (Roberto and Nelson). But just what is at stake?
OOC Note: Thrown Objects will simulate lazer guns, Large Thrown Object will be the Grenades, Random Weapon will be used to represent activating base defenses or making a hit on an enemy base. Blocks aren't an option. Only dodges(diving for cover), accepts(Just not being able to get out of the way) and endures(take a hit to give one in return) are valid reactions. Interrupting with reflects or counters could be an IC way of cheating.
Roberto got back in contact with Arika the first instant he got back from Metro City where he fought Hurricane Hime. After that match he felt like doing something fun and so he invited her for a game of lazer tag.
Already there and waiting is the soccer who is pulling on a blue vest, meanwhile Elton and Nelson are both on one of the arcade machines playing Tekken Tag tournament against someone both switching up on the joystick as they tag themselves in and out of the fight. Nelson is already wearing his blue vest and Elton is wearing a red vest and there's also another red vest waiting for the Princess of Punk.
The punk rock princess could use some 'fun' right about now. After defending the honor of little innocent children everywhere by defeating Nassir in her latest Neo League challenge, she's a little worse for wear. Most of the 'wounds' are hidden beneath a pair of relaxed black cargo pants. A cotton bandage has been wrapped about her shoulder, however, to stop the deep stab wound there from getting dirty or infected, or possibly even opening up again.
Entering the arcade, Arika takes a look around trying to find those she's meant to meet up with here. Spying the younger Miura's first, she waves in a friendly manner and then slowly walks over. Each step is made carefully so that the wound around her ankle doesn't open up as well.
"'ello, boys! 'avin' fun already are we?"
"Yes, Miss Fade," the twins reply simultaneously as their voices take on a sing song quality. Elton, the one who isn't playing at the moment, turns around to spot the bandage on her shoulders. The look of concern appears on his face, "Are you ok?" There's no Buster Wolf on the way though.
Roberto finishes up suiting up and has a similar look of concern as he approaches the Punk star with red vest for her. "What happened?" His hand moves close to the shoulder but doesn't touch out of fear of making a bad situation worse.
"Eh?" Arika glances down at her shoulder and shrugs. "Nassir and 'is knives 'appened, is wot 'appened. Bloody coward, kept swingin' those things at me instead'a fightin' 'and to 'and." The Brit has -no- love for knives. "Didn't even need stitches. Pain killers are workin' just fine, so how's 'bout we go enjoy ourselves a game'a laser tag, boys?" The last is offered to the younger ones before she turns to Roberto and reaches for her vest.
As she struggles to put it on, she mutters, "'e ever challenge you for a League fight or otherwise, best be prepared for injuries. Bring a first aid kit or some bandages. Nutter tried to blow up the bakery this weekend where we were teamed, and likely would'a done it again today if I 'adn't forced the match to be outside."
"Nassir, huh? Remember when I mentioned an attack that benched me?" He reaches down to tap his leg as he frowned. "He involved himself in a personal matter just because he wanted to talk to the person who was attacking me. I ended up sitting out a week of games and pulling out of a sign up for an SNF because of it." A bit of a frown comes back. "After I told him about an interaction with someone he knew, he decided that he wanted to fight me sometime this week and give me an 'assessment' of his own."
Roberto shrugs and sighs, "I don't know how I attact this type of attention." He takes a few moments to look at his brothers for a moment. "I should probably shut my mouth and let you get suited up."
The P.A. system doesn't leve much time for anything else as a voice is heard, "Miura, party of four, report to Arena Two."
After that it's like the two brothers are in sync, chaining a brutal tag in combo together finally finishing off their opponent. After that they give a nod to their opponent letting him take over their game while they move towards the specified arena.

As she finishes suiting up, Arika presses a button on her vest to ensure it lights up and is making all the appropriate noises. Odd looks are given to her from others in the arcade, but the diva just shrugs it off. Whatever! Laser Tag is supposed to be noisy.
"Nassir, yes. Nearly turned on'em in me fight on Saturday, kept threatening the poor spectators. Nearly -killed- a little girl." Sounds like she's got no love for Nassir either. "Thankfully Kensou took'em out early on, so it was just the two of us at the end."
Arena Two, the P.A. system says, and that's where the Brit turns to go. It's not that she's ignoring the boys' game or trying to break off the conversation, but she knows that places like this prefer to have the games started when they're called.
After that Roberto files in after the punk princess and then after the twins in silence. The four are greeted by a member of the arena staff. After going into a long speech about how the weapons work they are each guided to their bases, Nelson with Roberto and Elton going with Arika. There's a long pause before a voice says "Go!"
Both the soccer star and his brother begin with a cautious move forward as they both search for Arika and Elton. Intending to capitalize on the element of surprise, by opening fire with a rapid salvo.

From their 'base', Arika motions for Elton to move along the side of the arena and sneak up on his brothers from behind. This leaves the diva open for attack, which is fine by her. As soon as she spies the first laser gun peeking out from behind one of the boxes in the arena, she tries to dive roll for cover, and spin out of it with a blast of her own.
In the darkened room though, she trips over a small platform that leaves her open and prone for attack, causing her vest to light up as she takes the hit.
Elton nods to the diva and is off to perform a bit of a pincer manuever however he ends up overshooting them not expecting for them to be so agressive early on like that since it wasn't a tactic he was used to his brothers employing. Now he's doubling back and keeping eye on the status of Arika
Roberto on the hand sends out Nelson to search for Elton however Arika's team hidden himself well. After that, he releases a grenade ball as he continues the assault.

Still prone from before, Arika tries to judge where the next attack is coming from. The grenade ball hits her vest dead-on before rolling off into the 'base'. From there, the punk rock princess squishes herself back against a box and tries to contemplate strategy.
Weapons are so very -not- her forte.
Motioning with her gun for Elton to run across to the other side of the arena, she lifts her hand and immediately attempts to shoot at the other two again, in a very haphazard fashion.

It's probably worth mentioning here that Equilibrium is one of Roberto's favorite movies. Why's that important? Because he mimics the use of gun kata by moving into close range, placing himself in the most statistically beneficial position where he's least likely to be shot and then while doing this he attempts to use her own body as cover while getting off a few shots of his own. All of this while not touching her.

Does the fact that she's losing this game of laser tag for her team anger the Brit? Nope. On the contrary really. Arika is finding it quite relaxing, and win or lose, she's having fun. A great way to spend time after that fight earlier. When Roberto dodges, she mutters and tries to motion Elton on to attack his younger brother while she tries to take out the older one.
Then it dawns on her.
She's yet to hit anything!
The gun is lifted up once again, and she tries to fire on the older Miura point-blank. Two quick shots before she ducks behind another box, trying to keep away from him.

Roberto actually knew exactly where her shot would be and then when he sees her gesture he suddenly becomes aware of Elton as well. Elton does eventually follow Arika's directions but not before providing a little help in the form of opening fire on his older brother. It becomes apparent that Elton has watched equilibrium as well. And so he fires a shot that forces him to choose which hits and he ends up getting hit by Arika.
Now that Arika has moved into cover he continues the assault. Not on her but this time directly on the base. Firing upon the marker within the base.

Even in the dim lighting, Arika can see that an attack on the base is being made. With a little bit of quick thinking, she kicks a box toward the marker to avoid it being hit. Okay, it might be considered cheating but she's -also- using the box to spring off of and launch herself at the base on the other side of the arena. Ducking behind their marker, she hides there for a moment and then twists her arm at an awkward angle to take a few shots while her other hand motions Elton on to make a sneak attack on his brothers.

Elton goes towards the base when Roberto gives a signal to Nelson who in turn cuts off his route to the blue base. It becomes a standoff and neither brother can really get tactical position from it and as a result, the two become locked in a stalemate.
While the brothers are occupied Roberto continues to fire upon the base but this he's sending out a wider spread that will either hit Arika herself or one of the other base markers. The way he figures, he'll make it harder to defend each of them at the same time.

The base is left wide open to attack. Arika fires off another few shots on the opposing base, before lobbing one of the little 'grenades' at it for good measure and rushing across the room between boxes to better defend the red teams base. No matter how she works this, she figures she's going to wind up hit. Either way, as she runs past she points Elton toward the marker in the blue base to have him try and attack it.

Roberto has no choice but to retreat but he ends up retreating right into the grenade. He moves back as he attempt to cut off Arika's path but then he begins to hear the sounds of lazers towards the base. As things appear, Elton finally figured a way around Nelson and so he heads back to give his brother support.

Way to go Elton! Arika situates herself at mid-point between the bases as Roberto makes his retreat. About to pursue, she finds herself hit with another laser blast. Gah! One of these days, she'll have to take time to train with this type of weaponry, just so she's got an upper hand when playing these types of games!
Leaving Elton to his own devices now, she slides into the cover of the shadows that are cast in the room and tries to wind her way around to the blue base again. Once there, she tries to toss another 'grenade' at the marker at the same time she turns laser-gun fire on the boys.

When he sees the grenade fly right for his base, the soccer star gets a bit concerned. So he does something that comes naturally, he kicks it towards her along the ground before the sensors can go off. When they finally do, Arika's going to find that her little gift has a stamp that says, return to sender.

Hey now! Returning gifts is bad policy! Arika makes an attempt to leap over the ball before it sets the sensors off, but mid-air they make their little beep noise to denote detonation and then she watches her vest flash once more.
Playing a game like this against people who frequent the arcade is a foolish endeavor.
Fun, but foolish.
Deep blue eyes scan the darkness to see where her teammate has wandered off to, and for a moment she contemplates cheating. The only trouble with that is, it would be a blatant cheat as she's got just one move that would use enough energy to potentially set off the sensors in the vests. While she mulls it over, she sends another barrage of shots toward the first blue vest she sees move by her.

Roberto snickers as he watches Arika hoisted by her own pitard. He doesn't have much time to enjoy it because Elton appears on his flank pinning him in a trap he can't get out and is lit up by both of them.
Out of desperation, he tried to free himself putting down suppression fire as he moved towards his base. There he activates the base defenses hoping to both encourage a retreat before starting the counter offensive.

Oh, laugh all you will! Arika might just make a come back yet! Doubtful, but the punk rock princess is going to attempt to! With Elton helping her flank the elder Miura, she fires off one more shot. Things are too quiet though so she motions for Elton to find his twin, not wanting to wind up snuck up upon and brought down.
Base defenses are going on the blue-base, and she doesn't even bother to do anything with her side. Instead she makes pursuit, lobbing another one of those lovely little 'grenades' as she leaps into an airborne somersault and fires.
Yes, she's trying to show off.

Roberto doesn't even have time to get himself away from the base before the series of grenades go off. Not only do they go off catching him in the 'explosion' it also catches the base itself in a brutal twofer that makes the idea of Arika making a comeback all the more realistic.
Neither Nelson nor Robertohave any plans of letting this go unpunished and Roberto moves in to attack the base directly while Nelson performs an ambush on Elton. Ir would appear that the hunter has become the hunted.

A lucky move by the diva has her circling back around their base and in behind the red teams base, just in time to set the base defenses before Roberto can make it there. Abiding the 'no contact' rule, Arika slides her foot back in before Nelson trips over it on his ambush, and then skirts around to try and come up on Roberto from behind.

After the charge is cut short he doubles back in time to see Arika opening fire and he manages to slip behind one of the barriers and then he quietly circles around to Arika's rear just as he gestures for Nelson to make a quick dash in front of her. To be followed up with a shot on her back.

As the vest lights up again she shakes her fist playfully at Nelson. Once the boy is out in the open again though, he's fair game for his brother. As such, she waves Elton toward him and then tries to slip back to the 'base' to further protect it from any impending shots. With her trusty laser-gun in hand, she's about to turn and shoot toward the area she last spotted Roberto, but instead finds herself getting hit.
Again.
Sighing, she simply starts to fire on the older boy. Trying her very best to hit dead center on his vest.

When Arika turns around Roberto doesn't duck for cover. In fact, he continues to perform gun kata as she opens fire and he's matching her shot for shot even if he's occasionally physically oriented in odd angles as he does so.
Meanwhile the boys are in another stalemate. They end up for just as long until eventually they eliminate each other. Both of them with deactivated vests, hold the guns above their heads signifying they are out and it comes down to Arika and Roberto.

Only the briefest of glances is given to the boys. Arika nods her head though, to acknowledge that she's seen they're out. Then she tries to run past Roberto as she's hit. The diva is attempting to storm the 'base' once more. With her gun aimed directly at the marker, she fires two shots and then drops down to the floor in order to hide herself in the darkness and wait.

Roberto races the punk star back to his own base and he manages to pull ahead just enough that he can edge her out but in the process of try to catch her, He slips in just enough to take the shots. Just as quickly as she appears to be gone. When she's truly gone, Roberto fires a random burst in an attempt to find her again.

The random burst is carefully reflected back at him; the diva's attempt at matching him shot for shot. Arika doesn't move from the cover of shadow though, -hopefully- making it a little more difficult for the soccer-player to hit her.

As Arika returns fire Roberto does so as well bobbing and weaving as well. Who would've thought all those times he watched Equilibrium and studying Gun Kata would pay off. Though even as the two exchange fire Roberto continues to close the distance on her hoping he can use her as cover and cutting off potential targets by maintaining a close proximity to her.

Use her as cover, will he? Hah! Arika realizes what he's up to, and makes an attempt to dash past him. Knowing that the game is almost up, she pulls out another small grey 'grenade' and tosses it into the blue-base as she flees to her own side of the arena. The twins are offered a playful laser-gun salute just before she twists to face their brother once more.

Roberto sees the grenade rolling towards him and his base as he watches Arika flee towards the red base. How does he respond? He responds like how any red blooded soccer player would which is give it a tiny kick to side. By the time the orb goes off he's just out of it's range which thankfully doesn't set off his vest.
He carefully moves towards the red base pulling a few grenades of his own peppering the area with them. There's only so many places she can hide she's gonna get caught by atleast one of them.

Only so many places to hide, and as Arika pops her head out from behind the box to retaliate with a rapid blast from her laser-gun she doesn't even spy the little 'grenade' closest to her. Oblivious to the proximity it has to both her -and- the base marker, she just continues to fire.
Not ten seconds later, the orb goes off. Flashing to signal detonation and causing both vest and marker to deactivate themselves. A slight pout is given, but other than that there's no sign of poor sportsmanship. Twirling the laser-gun she glances at Roberto and then turns to the twins. Pointing at Elton she teasingly says, "Looks like we've got to pick up the tab on the pizza, kiddo." And with that she starts to make her way out of the arena so the next teams can come in.
