Description: In this Neo League fight, Himeko and Roberto square off in a library in Metro City. It starts off nice enough but then after the taunting and both being mutually uneffective in differing ways, Roberto gets fed up with the fight. (Winner: Roberto)
Behold, Metro City, is looks like another day has come in which battles, big and small were about to take place! It's common knowledge that the city has gone under some very rough times, but it would seem that while the Metro City Library (one of the largest in the world!), while having taken some damage, was easy enough to make some of the bigger repairs.
A four story tower of knowledge, one fighter has decided that after she had her little league fight here, she'd go and promote the importance of reading, as usual. However she's not exactly famous yet, so it'd probably come off to many people as little more than a joke. But still!
Today's battle takes place on the forth floor, where it's more or less deserted because many chunks of the roof have been completely blown away. So it was a good idea to just have as few books up there as possible, but tehre are still plenty of bookshelves and filing cabinets laying about the area. This, is where the battle will take place, and a lot of fight fanatics are here to check out some of the 'new blood'. First up, is Hurricane Hime, the pink clad 'super' heroine with a massive scarf whom stands atop one of the tables where computer moniters are usually held. The breeze tosses that cool scarf behind her, and while she's waiting for her opponent to arrive, she's explaining to the onlookers what her 'book of the week' is. It's some fantasy novel for young adults.
When Roberto gets the call from the Neo League, he couldn't help but raise an eyebrow. A library of all places? And while Roberto likes reading(Mostly gun catalogs and English copies of Shakespeare) he had to wonder if the staff at the Neo League made some type of error in scheduling this match up. He's not a model student after all. Damn test day performance anxiety.
Regardless, Roberto arrives kicking a soccer ball as he walks in. He's a little confused by the whole situation but a fight is a fight and he's here mainly for his payday which will end up becoming his brothers' college funds. He takes a moment to stretch and adjust his goalie gloves. And then he looks up and sees his opponent. "She looks familiar," he remarks to himself. However he hasn't seen Himeko around Mimiru to associate the two so he just shrugs.

Hurricane Hime does look familar! There is a feeling of familiarty at first glance, but really, if one were to place the little Hurricane and the meek bookworm side-by-side, it might just be too far a stretch to really think they're the same. But that's a mystery that would be gotten into another time, after all, Hime is still trying to build up a reputation!
The girl turns her head to the sound of the kicked soccerball, she suddenly grins, and hops off of the desk to point to her opponent, "Aha! Taiyo Student Robert Miura, it seems we meet, this time on the field of battle!" she barks in an american 'super-hero' tone, "I apologize for dragging you out here, but today I am a girl with a purpose, and that purpose is to do battle with one of Taiyo's greats! So that said, are you ready to face the practiioner of the Strongest Style, Hurricane Hime??" pause, "You might not be, you know."

"Taiyo's greats?" Ok... Now that's a first for him. He's gotten so used to the whole 'Soccer balls? Are you f***in kidding me treatment.' Being called one of Taiyo's greats is a different experience for him. So he has trouble responding to that for a few moments. "Uh... uh... yeah. Thanks."
After a few moments, realization sets in that there's another reason she's so familiar to him. She was the one he saw fighting Nassir. He was so focused on studying the soldier, for their upcoming fight that he didn't really pick up much about Hime. There was an inward groan when she mentions the Strongest style not because of its association with Dan Hibiki but rather the annoyance at people who keep talking about the superiority of their style. It's why he says, "Strongest style, huh? Well then it's time to put up or shut up. Let's see what you've got."
After that's said Roberto runs up and sends that soccer ball flying at the little heroine with a slight grunt before the toe blow makes a b-line for her stomach.

Hurricane Hime nods her head in agreement, "Indeed, one of the greats. We high-schoolers need to recognize one anothers strengths, after all! Anyway, think nothing of it, and prepare to cower before my might!" and the girl reaches into her scarf to draw out her self-made paperback-book, clutched tightly with her left hand, "Yes, that's exactly what it is called! And with a name like that, it must be true, right? Ha h- eeeek!"
Hime has to think fast, and fast she does as she tears out four pages from her book, the sheets quickly hardened with her chi, and are flung toward the ball blazing toward her. Just as she had hopes, the sheets, thrown in a spread vertical pattern slam into the offending ball, knocking it off to the side and continues it's path toward Roberto! "Ha ha!!" (c) Saishu.

It's at this moment that Roberto instantly regrets not paying more attention to the way she fought in Nassir's match. He's so stunned by the fact that the paper shield managed to knock his soccer ball aside that he's completely flat footed when the paper ends up hitting him. What's even more stunning to him is the lack of pain from it. He adjusts his visor a bit and scratches his head as he silently wonders whether that was supposed to hurt.
When he gets over the absolute shock he begins moving in for the soccer ball and then after a intricate series of moves he sudden passes by Himeko in a sudden burst of speed clipping her with his shoulder in an attempt to push her off balance.

Hime, on the other hand, is grinning wide when her paper attack hits Roberto. She thinks Roberto is confused by how the paper could have blasted his attack aside! "That, my friend, is a secret! Now come, let's continue!"
With that said, Himeko slips into a more defensive stance, not sure what Roberto has planned for her until he's really close.. It's a simple looking attack, she thinks, so she'll go ahead and just step to the si- OOH! Ouch, not quite that simple! Hit right in the shoulder, Hime windmills her arms as she stumbles backward, but at least doesn't go crashing on her butt, "That was pretty good, but..!" she doesn't just stand there, she's right back onto the attack, book held in both hands as she springs into the air and then tries to slam the flat of her weapon right into Roberto's face!

After the star striker makes a quick cut to change directions allowing to see the next attack coming right for his head. He figures the best way deal with someone trying to take you off the ball in this case is to not be there when they make their move and so he performs another quick cut to move himself out of the way.
After he gets out of the way of the attack, he kicks the soccer ball up into the air looping it over Hime and hopefully she'll be too busy watching the ball (or too busy talking) to notice that he's sliding for her legs with a slide tackle.

Himeko actually doesn't have too much to say after that, actually, though she does realize that she didn't fully introduce herself to Roberto at the matches start... Oh well! She stumbles just slightly as Roberto nimbly gets around her guard, "Shoot!" she huffs, though her eyes actually do end up looking to the ball as it sails upward, look at that!
However, when she's making an effort to leap up to catch the ball, she slips on the heel of her foot, and clumsily falls onto her side with her book held tightly with both hands.. Which just so happens to be where Roberto's sliding kick connects to, knocking her back just a bit. Lucky! "I- I meant to do that! Amazing!" she congratulates to herself, however she does skip back a few steps after that, slapping her cheeks to psyche herself up. She's going to have to kick things up a notch if she's going to win this!

As a soccer player there are specific cues that you can pick up on that comes with having a good field awareness and while he can't match the more analytical fighters on picking up on these cues, he can tell that it wasn't skill. The eyes and body orientation don't lie. 'Hmph... And Rolento called me lucky...' is what the soccer star thinks to himself as he gets back up to his feet relieved that she didn't take advantage of that move's vulnerability.
He takes a quick step in and performs a two-fisted punch, balancing striking power and the ability push with it hoping to unbalance the would be side kick once again.

Hurricane Hime didn't think that Roberto would allow her to hang back for long, and well, that's an acceptable strategy when she thinks about it; but her options aren't too limited when the soccer player closes in on her with what looks like is going to be a really powerful attack.. She clutches her book, ready to defend when suddenly she has a much better idea!
Instead the girl grabs a handful of index cards, and windmills her arms, the little squares sticking to one another in the shape a very shoddily made circular shield, and when Roberto hits that shield? He doesn't tear through, it's like hitting a wall! But the impact still knocks her back slightly, the papers exploding into raining paper seconds after impact! Himeko tries to take advantage of the position she's in, grabbing another handful of her smaller papers and this time when they're thrown out, the linked papers act like a whip, trying to wrap around the boys ankle and if she can, jerks it back violently to sweep him right off his feet, "Hyah!"

When the chain of papers wrap around his legs however his feet don't move. Strong legs courtesy of being a soccer player end up meaning he has a strong foundation and therefore is a lot harder to pull down than she would've expected. He shakes the leg free and then he winds up and swings his leg hard at Himeko, a glowing foot going high into the air ideally carrying the bookworm superhero with it and sending her up, up, and away.

".. Erk, should have known," Himeko grumbes when the paper whip breaks apart by itself and flutters to the floor, though Roberto had already shaken free at this point. But the old saying goes, no use crying over spilled milk, she'll just have to continue to try hard! But the bad news is, there really isn't much she can reflect on in tough times, her teacher hadn't gotten her that far yet!
Hime jukes and jives, swings and sways as Roberto comes in with the intent of kicking her clear out of the library, but she anticipates that pretty well! She hops into the air, paperback book held in both hands and he ends up kicking THAT instead, which again still pushes her back momentum-wise. As soon as her feet hit the floor though, she bends at the knees and springs forward, snapping a quick and short kick right toward her opponents chest, "HAAAH!" and should it connect, another kick with the opposite foot follows, and then a third! "Hime Kyaku!!"

Roberto's foot comes down from the unsuccessful thrust kick but even still he attempts to string the kick into the Bicycle Kick of his however he doesn't quite count on her kick beating his own kick to the punch and catches it to his back and as a result fall flat on his face. He slowly gets up not from the pain but he's using this time to go over a different tactic because the one he's using sure as hell ain't working.
Himeko isn't going to make fun of Roberto, but she does have to fight back a giggle when she manages to overtake the boy with her clumsy but clearly powerful technique! Not bad at all, she thinks, but now it's time for her to kick things up a notch since it's clear to her tht she's just not hitting the boy hard enough. She nods to herself, and with another slight hop backward, she slings another string of papers, this time toward Roberto's chest it would seem...

However the chain sways a little to the side then snaps to wrap itself twice around Roberto's arms and chest! Clinched in tight, Hime grins as she tugs sharply enough to send Roberto reeling toward her, "Get over here!!" .. And she switches from her whip to her book, windmills her arm and with a leap forward and up, meets the soccer star head-on, slamming the spine of her book right under the boys chin, "HAAAH!"
This time, when the chain of papers wrap around him he has no plans to resist this time but he's unable to position himself to use her attack to his advantage he goes into an uncontrolled flight towards the book wielder who then smashes him backwards.
He gets back up to his feet and shakes the cobwebs out and shifts into a different stance he begins hopping around on his the balls of his feet in a closed stance and takes a deep breath. As he attempts to try something different. If this was point based fighting he'd be losing now since he's just not landing the blows.

The neat little MK homage seems to get a bout of applause for the little Hurricane, much to the delight of the pink clad girl, and gives a thumbs up to the crowd. A little showboating isn't too bad here, since luckily for her Roberto is hanging back for a moment! Behold! The power of reading!!
Now then, with that done, the girl turns to face Roberto again, getting back into the mood to fight, in fact, she may even be a little more fired up! But what does the soccer player have in mind? Hime doesn't know, but she's going to leap up and stand atop one of the librarians desks, her arms crossed and narrow eyes locked on the boy, "I'm not doing too bad, eh? But you're about to get swept into the hurricane, Roberto!"
Flip flap goes her scarf.

The soccer player catches sight of the soccer ball he had possession of before, and he runs up on the soccer ball using it as a make-shift trampoline catapulting him towards Himeko with a dashing haymaker as he moves to run past. If his path remains unimpeded he will leap from that desk to the next.

Hurricane Hime catches sight of the ball too, but she has no idea why Roberto is looking at it.. At least not until she sees with her own eyes just how amazing he is with that darn ball! Leaping off of it without slipping and busting his butt?
"COOOOL!!" she cries, but she won't just stand there! She's leaping at him once he's close and while she manages to get a little bit out of the way of the haymaker blow, it's only because she ends up colliding with him in mid air.. But the momentum of Roberto is knocking her back, which puts her in a position to slip her arms about the boys waist and then lurch backward, both fighters twisting in the air as she turns the tumble into a all-out suplex right through the desk! There's a HUGE crash! shelves fly out out the thing as the thing splits right in half!!
Roberto frowns a bit as he gets up to his feet as he adjusts the goalie gloves on his hands then visor again waiting for Himeko to get up before he's instantly on her again attempting to trap her arms before dropping her down on top of the remnants of the desks. It's sloppy looking, has no style, it just has speed on its side. Even if Roberto, does fight using soccer as a style, he's still somewhat pragmatic and knows that if something isn't working, get rid of it.

Himeko, on the other hand, looks pretty dizzy when she gets back up, swaying a little as she grasps one of the desk halves to help herself up, "W- Woah.." she groans.. It's probably that dizzyness that keeps her from defending herself too effectivly with Roberto's throw, in just moments she's smashed right back down onto the desk half, breaking it even further, her big scarf flopping over her face, "Nngh!!"
And then she sits up again, pushing the scarf from her face, "Thanks! I needed that!" she declares, and then springs at the goalie again, once more her book clutched in both hands as she tries to smash the object into his face again in a true appreciation of thanks! And assuming that hits, she twists around to swing the spine of her book like an axe into his back as well, "Hah!!"

As Roberto gets smacked in the face yet again, he's surprised but while damage was very little the amount of accumulated strikes is finally starting to take its toll on him and the second strike forces him to stumble forward. He reaches up to forehead to discover his visor was knocked off with the first strike. And while he was annoyed before he's somewhat livid now. Himeko better pray that he doesn't get his hands on her.

Oops.. Well, knocking off the visor wasn't completely Hime's intent, but if that's what happens it's certianly what happens! And with that being the case, what follows might even be crazier. Roberto seems to be going in for some kind of hold, but whatever momentum may have met at the climax, the little hurricane slams down onto her feet in a crouch and with her free hand raises it up to Roberto's face, a gust of wind knocking him back before he could kick her away, "WAIT!!!" the girl cries.
And then she takes a step back, in a semi-dramatic pose, "Allow me to tell you my name!" she offers, "I am she, who does not allow illiteracy!" she holds out her arms like airplane wings, twirls on one foot and drops to one knee, "The champion of Taiyo High school!!"
And then to finish it all off, stands up with her free fist raised in the air and a sudden huge gust of wind whips around her form, making her scarf flap like crazy, "Hurricane Hime!!! You have no chance of defeating me, turn back and run away now, silly soccer man!"
Roberto gets back to his feet again and brushes himself off as he listens to the dramatic speech. Getting even more annoyed with the whole thing as she continues. And then finally(thankfully) she finishes. "Silly? Run away? My nine year old brothers hit harder than you. Speaking of which, the money I get from this goes to their scholarships. Unless you start giving some real blows and actually put me down, this fight isn't gonna end." With that he stands there hands beckoning towards her.

Himeko would add a hearty bout of laughter if she were in a better position, but.. As it was, she was actually feeling a little tired after that display of what could only be defined as complete awesome. Granted, many onlookers are absolutly stumped by her display, but..!
Hime stands there for a moment in her powerpose, and her lips twist up to Roberto's returned insult, "Your nine your old brothers?? that is such a lie! And for your information, while I may not hit as hard as a truck, it is my spirit, undying will, and saikyo power that will trump your style, muscles ain't everything!" and that said, Himeko dashes forward, "Or is it that you're just stalling? Only one way to find out!" and she sprints, leaps and tries to slap her hand on the boys shoulders as she flips over him. If she can, momentum would do the rest of the work as she would fling him at one of the empty bookshelves!! "HYAH!"

Roberto makes no move to resist it and goes flying into the as she wanted, "Yes, my brothers hit harder than you." but then after getting slammed into the wall he pushes off at an unbelievable speed as he moves towards her. He swings back his foot and slams it as hard as he can into her letting out a bit of a growl as he does so.

After that initial kick lands, it becomes apparent that the usually calm striker has snapped even though his actions are tactically sound, the star striker slams his foot into Hurricane Hime treating her like a soccer ball as he bounces her off the walls, off desks, off shelves, and even darts to and fro passing it back and forth to himself as he angrily utters, "I'm not so silly now, now am I?" he continues kicking her around, "And I didn't go into this to engage in a style pissing contest so no I don't give a damn about that... I got into the league because I wanted to cross train and I wanted make sure my brothers could go to college." Even more kicks come and he can actually feel his anger with the entire match melting away. And then he finally punctuates the point by hammering her /through/ one of the walls with the final kick. "How's that for spirit? Oh and by the knocking off my visor, not cool."
".. Huh, well you must feel pretty inferior knowing that your brothers could beat you in a league match!" Hurricane snaps back, after her throw that is. But her grin is still pretty confident, "You should drop them by Dan's dojo sometime, and they can learn how to harness their power more solidly! By the way, it has a cool new sign!" the little hurricane looks to the camera and gives a thumbs up.. And then uh-ohs when something feels very... Very off. She was pretty sure she destroyed Roberto then, but before she knows it, before she can really get her guard up, he lands such a kick into her stomach that it makes her see stars, the wind seriously knocked out of her.
But the rest of it? It's quite a trip, Hime most certainly feels like a soccerball and there she goes, knocking pretty much anything that within her path over, and the final kick, Hime doesn't end up going through the wall immedietly, the impact makes it crumble, and she ends up falling out backward- But she luckily has enough presence to tear out a few sheets of paper, molding it into a crowbar and catches the opening of the hole she made, "Waaah!"
The heroine dangles there for a moment, book in her mouth and both hands on the weapon, and with a kick-up, flips her way back into the library, landing flat on her butt and looks a little shocked! She stares at the boy, puffs up her cheeks and crosses her arms, "Lame. Well, anyway, I guess I concede, so I'm going to go someplace where I'm a little less likely to get thrown out of a four story building. I'm sure your brothers are very proud!" she tugs the lower lid of her left eye and sticks out her tongue, "Biiiiiiiih!"

"Bah... You talk a good game. Come back, when your hits are capable of doing more than annoying me." And the sad thing is had she not not done the eye thing he might've actually apologized. There's a subtle limp from all of the accumulated strikes but like he said most of the strikes by themselves were little more than annoyances to him and people who let their mouthes write checks that their fists, or in this case their books can't cash annoy him even more. He has nothing else to say so he picks up his visor and puts it back on. He glances at the chaos, and then the hole in the wall and it appears that he has one more thing to say, "And allow me to let you in on some advice. You might want to try having the fights in the streets, out in front of the library. Probably less damaging to the premises that way. I guess I'll foot the bill for this one."
And with that, the soccer goalie walks out.
Himeko hmphs, turned to the side and not even making an effort to look back to Roberto. She didn't really care if he didn't apologize, that wasn't what she was looking for in the end- Fighting is a dangerous game, after all! But long story short, she isn't responding to what the goalie has to say verbally, and the advice goes completely unignored. She enjoys libraries and will continue to fight within them as long as she's allowed to. <3
And it isn't until the goalie finally departs that she doubles over, holding her ribs and groaning, "Ow ow ow ow, that really hurt.. I thought I was a little tougher than that.. Grrr, it's the same thing Mimi-chan was always told.. But just like her, I'll pull through and be as strong as her.." she whispers to herself. And then she turns to the crowd once again, or rather, looks over her shoulder, "Oh right! Uh.. Reading is FUNdemental!" <3 "Ow."
