Description: Zero engages in his time-honored tradition of beating up little schoolgirls without remorse. Starring everyone's favorite Emo Psychic, Miu!!
Evening in Southtown is something that Miu has slowly become accustomed to in the last few months. Rather than holing up in her dorm room or hiding in a tree on the campus for the majority of the evening to read books or listen to music on her poor abused relic of a walkman, she's taken to wandering about, opening up to other experiences-- after all, she's a teenager. No matter how much of a weird psychopath the rest of the girls of Seijyun High have made her out to be in the past, it won't dissuade her from having her own tasty slice of that normalcy pie that's eluded her grasp for so many years...!
And into the evening hours, Miu exits one of the smaller coffee shops that dot the streets, sipping it gingerly as her small hands are both used to support it. Casting a glance down the road, her mind wanders to Taiyo High for just a moment-- to her friend, and why she hasn't so much as written a letter as of yet. The dark-clad student's expression remains vacant for a moment, then shifts to one a bit more downtrodden-- and then a glance to the sidewalk before her black-and-blue shoes assist in rotating her small frame back around-- and back toward Seijyun.
Strange how even in a city of this many, one can feel so alone. But part of the girl muses as she walks, crossing streets and wandering the sidewalks, 'At least Todoh-senpai is around?'
Evening in Southtown; while spring has begun to descend upon the majority of the city, there are still some nights when any lingering heat is drained from the surrounding air, leaving only a lingering cool feeling further supplemented by a strong breeze. Today is one of those nights; the sky is cloudy, the moon obscured behind a thick veil of gray as people go about their day-to-day business, largely ignoring the rest of the general populace. Of course, even if one were to brave the surprising normalcy of this Southtown night, they always have to go out with the realization... that any night in Southtown is /far/ from normal.
Case in point. There is one small girl that would seem not too terribly out of place with the rest of the populace today lingering throughout Southtown village -- just one face in the few who still linger tonight. But she IS special; anyone who has seen an SNF or a Pay Per View fight featuring her would know that. And her innate talents have made her rather distinct... distinct enough to merit the attentions of a certain organization with nothing but ill-intents. So, as that girl crosses streets, perhaps ignorant of that unwanted attention--
"Miu Kurosaki."
--bad omens make themselves known to her nonetheless.
The voice, smooth, calm and completely impassive comes from behind Miu as she finishes her walk across streets. It belongs to a single man; wearing a long, fancy looking form-fitting coat with a three-piece suit, it is clear by his words, and his cold, dead stare, that his words are meant for Miu and Miu alone. "Fifteen years old, attends Seijyun Highschool... noted for having an unusual abundance of what is termed as 'Psycho Power' at such a young age. If it's not too big of an inconvenience..." His tone implies he really does not care whether she complies or not. A single hand outstretches towards Miu, beckoning.
"... I would like a test of your power."
It's true, the small girl has been seen on televised events. Morose, dressed unusually heavy despite the weather, and always sporting that leftover hairstyle from the '80s. And her powers-- the powers that she uses quite freely in battle, no matter if she wishes to or not. The energy has had it's boons and banes in her student life; even forcing a tightly-sealed bottle of soda or a jar open occasionally ends with remnants of that energy bleeding from her hands and fluttering all over her desk. While it's convienent that this energy dissapates all on it's own, it can still be ... troublesome.
Even, say, now.
With the sudden and brief breakdown of the information anyone that truly cares can find out, Miu comes to an abrupt halt with her small cup of cappuccino, eyes wide. When did-?!
Turning around sharply, the cup somehow remains in her soft hands, her left leg shifting back in the event she needs to run. This man isn't anything like Yagami-- someone like that would've already attacked if he deemed it nessicary. The cup shifts into her left hand as she stands almost shoulder-square to the man in the suit. Anyone with half a brain could see the other hand lingering at her side, the blue-purple energy fizzling from her fingers-- in the form of feathers. Clearly prepared to defend herself, the girl assumes a deathly neutral tone: "I do not fight on command."
Dark gray eyes linger down towards Miu's hand, the crackle of psychic energy all too apparent.
"Ah," he muses, "there is is."
Trouble has a way of coming to people when they least expect it in forms they would have never anticipated. Miu has never met this man before, and likely never will again -- at least as the way he appears now. It matters not; all that really matters is the keen look of interest that lurks in his cold gaze as he takes a solid gaze at the girl's shimmering, feather-like Psycho Power. His mouth downturns in something of a thoughtful frown. "Just as anticipated. Your power acts to make up for a lack of refinement in your fighting form." Prepared to defend herself, but Miu leaves far, far too many openings to be exploited. "... A pity."
She does not wish to initiate a fight. That, too, is a pity. But Zero has only come here for one thing, and one thing alone. And if Miu will not willingly provide it...
... Then he will do what is necessary to obtain it.
"If you will not fight..." As Zero speaks, he takes a single step forward. Yet as he does, an inky sort of likeness trails after him, leaving disorienting afterimages of the man that trail close behind. All that's needed is that single step... and suddenly, Zero is simply THERE in front of Miu, a line of ghost-like selves following him as he seeks to land a simple, heavy punch STRAIGHT into the girl's stomach.
"... I will initiate."

For a moment, a thoughtful glance is cast down at her hand, the one trailing away the distinctive energy. If, then, she gains control, would that mean she would no longer project her power that much? Though to be honest, no one had ever explained the meaning of this 'Psycho Power' to her... not even those that she fought before that could also use it. Her brow furrows as she looks back up-- and looks up to see the man suddenly shuttling toward her at a speed not anticipated. Miu's forearms lift, the paper and cardboard cup cast into the air as her forearms bunch together at the elbows. A rough, rudimentary defense not unalike a boxer's, the force enough to send the small girl skidding backward a solid ten feet before she comes to a halt, stumbling. Arms at her sides, the Seijyun student's arms snap down to her sides, fingers half-curled and steadying her breathing. 'Don't get caught off guard like that again,' she warns herself.
If he can move that fast across a space, then-- then she needs to be careful. Staying in too close would be dangerous, but he'd be able to make up any distance in a hurry. Taking a moment to think-- strategize-- the girl again takes that same neutral expression.
Turn off the emotions. Don't think, just act.
Spinning harshly to the left, her left arm extends in a lash-- a narrow, black feather flying from her fingertips. Then, to the right-- a second flying from another backhand! Start small, wear him down-- then move close...

Zero 0/-------/------=|=------\-------\0 Miu
Miu is at a distinct disadvantage here. One is simply the fact that this man before her knows all there is to know about her that is relevant to this given situation, whereas Miu? Does not even know his name. The second disadvantage is one she'll soon become rapidly aware of -- this man is in a tier a good deal above her own. In truth, it's not her fighting prowess that brings Zero here. Any decent analysis of her fighting skill would come out as poor at best. But that power -- that raw, crackling power that she contains -- that is enough to bring the Vice President of NESTS itself here personally. And now... it's power that's flying at him at an unusually fast rate.
Psycho Power plumes with a distinct lack of vibrancy, searing air and cutting a path in the form of two small, black feathers. Zero frowns, though not out of any form of worry; rather, it seems contemplative as he grips the side of his coat. "You're capable of rudimentary defenses." He comments off-handedly. And just as those small blossoms of psychic energy draw closer... Zero gives a simple flick of his wrist.
In one sharp, snapping motion, the hem of the silver-haired man's coat ripples upwards, seeming to shift form in mid-rotation as it cuts through the air in front of him. Silver blades form across the edge, intercepting both bursts of psychic power. A distinct corona of power washes over the hem of that coat as it seems to literally /gobble/ up that energy. And at the end of it's rotation, as it's brought back down in one sudden motion and Zero is revealed in his full battle attire... those feathers of power reappear once more, jarbled and malformed and making an even faster path right towards Miu.
COMBATSYS: Zero successfully hits Miu with Reflected Kakure Amagakeri.

Perhaps it isn't fighting this stranger that annoys her-- not horribly as much as the critiques to her style, to her movements and stances. Her defense wasn't perfect, but it wasn't horrible, either! As for her feathers, the two bolts of energy that fly out and -- collide with his clothing?!!
Miu's eyes go wide as her power is devoured by his garments, turned back at her with the simple flick of the now-bladed garment. The small student's posture shifts, angling to avoid the two returning darts of energy-- and being struck as she turns away, one bursting against her side and the other against her shoulder. "Gahh-!!" So that's what it feels like, being hit by her power?
Still, it looks like she's managing to keep herself calm, fingers tightly grasping the injured shoulder. Pain isn't precisely an 'emotion' as much as a 'reaction', and after a split-second, the girl seems to have her bearings-- enough to attack, even. Darting ahead, the small girl suddenly goes airborne-- the figurative word could almost be 'fly', given her height and the bit and trails of energy that fall away from her legs and feet as she seems to angle to go directly over the head of the elder NESTS member. Her hand reaches out to snag him from behind, to pull her small body close and angle a single feather at the back of his head in a manner closer to a katar or stiletto-- and the force from that punch, if she succeeds, would be enough to send her back to 'flying', to clear a great distance from the silver-haired man both horizontally and vertically...
COMBATSYS: Miu successfully hits Zero with Psi-Launcher.

Nice, black suit seemingly to melt away, the very fabric of Zero's outfit seems to bend and shift in the brief moment of a flash before its entirety is replaced with the sleek design of the NESTS executive's battlesuit. The hem of his skirt falls back into place with the slight clatter of metal claws striking against one another. And still, Zero seems calm and composed, his left arm pressing firmly against the small of his back. Despite his tall, simple stature, he is ready for whatever comes next -- or at least, he would like to assume as such.
It's not entirely true. Though his dark, analytical eyes 'read' the attack that now comes to him, his suit relaying various methods of counter attack, Zero disregards most of the information provided. Instead, his right hand calmly begins to stretch out to simply intercept Miu... but he's a second too short. She flies /over/ him, something not anticipated, grasping the large man's back before a single explosion of psychic power sending him staggering forwards with a single grunt of discomfort. So there's the power of her psychic energy.
"... hmph."
Before Miu can fly too far away, however, Zero makes once single movement to intercept her. The steel toe of his right boot juts outward as his body lurches down, causing the briefest chime of metal as he attempts to intercept Kurosaki in midair. If successful, that foot will lance straight into her gut with enough force to send her rocketing completely off-course... and directly into a nearby wall.
COMBATSYS: Zero successfully hits Miu with Light Kick.

Zero 0/-------/-======|=======\=------\1 Miu
And so, she flies-- faster than before, with more haste-- but not with enough velocity to escape the leg thrust out at her so suddenly. Miu gasps sharply as she nearly folds in half on the dark-suited man's kick, wind knocked clear from her lungs and very nearly the last thing she ate, too. Sent horribly off her intended course, she does indeed rocket backward and slam into the wall of the building behind her with a *thwack* against the brick wall surface. Dropping to the sidewalk, she lands on her feet before her knees buckle, coughing and gasping-- a hit like that, just like a hammer...
Planting a hand on the ground, the small Seijyun student rises to her feet and arcs her back, steadying herself for a moment on the wall behind her. The long ponytail draping from her shoulder and falling low as she steps away from the wall, the student turns steadily-colder eyes toward the NESTS executive and clenches her fists. "That wasn't enough." she says, determined. "Yagami-- Yagami hit me harder than that."
Dropping somewhat low-- for her height-- Miu lurches ahead quite quickly and darts out in front of the elder man, her body becoming a smooth-moving engine of destruction: A feinted jab leads into a kick-- more of a stomp above his knee meant to give her a bit of vertical-- and her hands scissoring together at the sides of his head at once for a twin karate chop of sorts. Feathers of various tones fly from her hands in the process, primarily consisting of black, blue, and white.
COMBATSYS: Zero counters Medium Punch from Miu with Forcefield.

Zero 0/-------/=======|=======\======-\1 Miu
"Yagami..." Zero wonders over the name aloud, reasserting his position once more; left hand behind his back, his other extended forward towards Miu. His expression is thoughtful as she impacts against the surface of that cold, lifeless wall.
"... Bluffing will not allow you any mercies."
This time, Zero is more than prepared for the attack that comes at him. Artificial intelligence programs in the suit feed data at an astounding rate as Miu moves, in comparison, at a snail's pace. There is no doubt power behind those hands as she flings herself forward, but it lacks focus. Refinement. A simple fact that becomes blatantly obvious the moment that Miu's psi-infused strike makes contact...
... but not with Zero.
It might take a moment to register the fact that Miu's strike hits something artificial rather than the modified and augmented flesh of the NESTS executive. Invisible force becomes apparent in the slight rippling of royal purple energy around the sight of impact, Miu's Psycho Power diffusing harmlessly across the surface of an artificially born chrysalis of chi. Zero doesn't even budge from his location before a crackle of violet energy /lances/ out from the forcefield, electrifying Miu in a most painful way and delivering enough force to send her airborne and away from her white-haired opponent once more.
Attacking head-on was a stupid idea-- one that she'll have to chastize herself for later. Miu has more important things to worry about at this point-- like trying to do -something- about the man that stands before her. Half of her wonders why she didn't just run away, the other determined to at least do him -some- harm before this street brawl concludes. At the moment of impact, Miu's arms stop before reaching their intended target, her eyes wide as the the energy about her suddenly fizzles into nothing at the hands of the wall of muscle standing before her. The blast of electric force feels more like being gored with a massive harpoon, the girl rocking backwards and colliding with the ground with a loud gasp. Splayed out on the concrete, smoke rises from her shirt and her arms twitch. Her body is -sore-, no second guessing about it, and this man has done little more than earn her ire and spite.
Sitting up and rolling over to one knee, Miu breathes deeply and heavily to catch her breath-- and her eyes take to a defiant glare back at the very man who instigated this battle. "I-- I didn't ask for mercy... o-or your pity..."
Rising to her feet, Miu holds her hands forward and shifts her left leg ahead, thumbs together and fingers fanning out. The energy within begins to well up as she focuses ahead, arms pulling back by the sides of her head before slamming swiftly downward. The energy within simply -surges- -- and her small body seems to be running on nothing but defiance and resiliance. "Who are you?" she asks, feathers forming rapidly and randomly on her fists and across her knuckles.
COMBATSYS: Miu focuses on her next action.

Power in such a lithe frame is nothing more than the force of a nuclear bomb contained in tinfoil. But if the power can be harnessed and used /effectively/, then... that is where the true profit lies. Not in this weak little girl herself, but in the genetic potential inside her. And that's exactly why Zero stands here now, personally seeing to this girl's incapacitation. More's a pity for her.
Fortunately for /Zero/ however, things are going along exactly as he had anticipated. The clockwork like motions to his movements are fluid and cold as his legs spread shoulder-width apart, right hand grasping firmly onto the dark cape that drapes across his lower body. She is sore... but she is bound to be in much more pain soon enough.
Energy brims around Miu, overflowing in an immense excess that seems to just ooze out those strange feathers all around her. Zero, however, seems unimpressed at best, fingers wrapping firmly along the tough material of his cape. "I am nothing. Names have no meaning. And you..." He hardly moves. Yet as he does, his body is empowered by strange, otherworldy energies, compelling him to move faster than any normal human should. Inky blackness trails across Zero's body, once more leaving after images as he twists his cape /forward/. And despite the distance between them, that skirt seems to stretch ungodly distances in the span of seconds, the bladed hem seeking to rake across Miu's torso in a sudden, horizontal swipe that will do severe damage to flesh and muscle -- perhaps even bone -- if Miu is not fast enough.
"... you, are asking the wrong questions."
COMBATSYS: Zero successfully hits Miu with Ouga.

No name-- or so he claims. This 'no name' leaves a bad taste in her mouth, and it's more than just the blood she's probably got in the back of her mouth. Miu's momentary bravado means little standing in the face of such a man, though the girl knows that she cannot let it be merely a facade-- she has to stand strong, at least for now. But again, that -movement-. So fluid, so supple-- it's almost like watching a slow, careful trickle of water flow down a stream.
She sees more light than anything-- the broadsided attempt to nearly cleave the girl in half, her arms again lifting to protect herself-- and for all the good it does. The blades rip across the girl in a swift manner, trailing blood and life as the forearms of her turtleneck and the belly of both her student uniform and turtleneck shred in the wake of the smooth, speedy, and utterly devistating attack.
The pain doesn't hit Miu at first-- no, first she feels nothing. Her body jerks stiff as it sets in-- her nerves remind her how that's going to look and feel in the morning, and her day is effectively ruined.
Miu gasps and staggers as she bleeds, looking at the silver-haired NESTS executive with jilted, trembling eyes.
And then, it goes south.
Miu lurches ahead at an unearthly rate, moving to suddenly invade Zero's personal space. Her arm flits around in a swing and spin-- swing, swing, swing, and swing-- up to seven massive swipes of her arm, all while that same psycho energy begins to build. Her arm thrusts ahead with one violent press, Miu's eyes alight and the sounds of what seems almost like dozens and dozens of wingbeats blaze between them. From her left arm, a thrusting 'lance' of energy, a mass of feathers loosely bound in such a way it seems almost like she were to drill clear through the man-- and blast him backwards fairly hard, even for someone of her stature.
COMBATSYS: Miu can no longer fight.

"Raw power..."
Wind whips around Zero's body violently as his steely gaze rises upwards towards Miu's rapidly descending form. She moves sluggishly, to be sure. But he can feel the force behind it. It's tremendous, something one would not expect a girl so lithe to be able to utilize effectively. Yet the blood, the final stroke from Zero's powerful cape tells him all that he needs to know. She's done. Finished. And this... is merely a grandiose and futile gesture at best.
"... is nothing in comparison to true skill."
A lance of energy erupts from from Miu's bloody body in a delightful spectacle of power and desperation. And even as she does, Zero begins to compensate. Redirecting chi via his battlesuit at a rapid rate, the NESTS executive's right hand begins to emanate a faint, amethyst glow. Enhancing physical power with his suit's defensive capacities, Zero THRUSTS forward with one singularly rapid strike -- literally /punching/ through the entirety of that lance of Psycho Power, demolishing the energy built up with brutal resolve.
It is as the remnants of psychic energy wash off that defensive shield of force coating his arm that it finally fades. Yet Zero's swing continues through to the final motion, his fist opening to lance out and PALM Miu by the head. Likely she won't be retaining consciousness much longer. But even so--
"You will live." Is a simple, cold observation as, with his free hand, Zero produces a syringe. And, as if Miu hadn't lost enough blood /already/, unless she can manage some kind of resistance Zero will jab the thin needle into her skin with cold precision, letting the vial fill up with dark, crimson blood. She won't die. There'd be no use in her death. "But I would recommend you seek out medical treatment."
That said, Zero will drop Miu to the ground, pivoting sharply on his heel to simply... walk off. Exactly according to schedule.
