Aislinn - Don't Call Her Himezaki...

Description: ... in which Aislinn finds out -why- people don't call Zaki... 'Himezaki'.

Classes are out at Seijyun, for the day; and Aislinn, now fully recovered from the aftereffects of her bouts with Sakura/Nagase and then Akira, is walking across the campus towards her dorm... solitary? Not exactly... she has a small crowd (a -small- crowd) of admirers, mostly first-years of course, though she pays them absolutely no mind. Her unusual Seijyun uniform has brought questions as to whether she's one of Zaki's gang, although she has yet to respond to any such query with either an affirmative or a negative.

Speaking of Zaki... Aislinn has yet to meet her in this guise. If the gang leader is smart she might recognize Aislinn's style from the last time they fought... then again... she might not. Who can say? But Aislinn did have a request for Yurika--for the drillhaired girl to set up a meeting with Zaki, if at all possible.

A meeting with Zaki? Actually no one is really certain how simple or how difficult setting up such a thing really is. Maybe for people within the school it's simple? But even then Yurika Kirishima is pretty sure that if the gangster doesn't want to be found, she won't be, at least with most school-types involved.
It would seem, however, she's complied to Aislinn's request, and it would seem that she's set up the meeting to take place at the gates near the flower garden, where the prissy girl currently resides. Assuming that Zaki actually is there, Yurika would be talking a little about Aislinn, and some of the details of the 'unusual' double-knock out match between the Silent Assassin and Akira. In fact, it may have been that fact alone that quirked the Original Gangsters interest.

A thing like that didn't really require any kind of formal request, as far as Zaki was concerned, but Yurika no doubt felt differently. Everything's always formal with her. The fact is though that the gangleader had already asked about Aislinn herself, that night when she first got back from World Warrior and had Kazama and Kirishima both over for tea. She just... didn't get a whole lot out of them about it. Yurika was really vague, and then she got spooked and had her little accident and then it was all pretty much over.
Today though, Yurika seemed a little bit less tight-lipped and Aoi didn't mind following her out to the gate to see what was up. "Yeah. Yeah... I mean if anything that doesn't really *impress* me, Yurika. It just makes me more curious. Akira's gotten really sloppy lately." the rehead states firmly, leaning up against the brick wall that runs around the school.

If Akira has gotten sloppy lately, then Aislinn's fight against her must've been a miracle to have ended the way it did. Not that Aislinn believes that for a moment... she believes in her skills and her strength. She's just quieter about it.

Halfway across campus, she abruptly stops--then turns towards the gates of the flower garden. Ah... right on time. Aislinn turns, and gives her 'admirers' a -look-... and for once they scatter, thankfully--dispersing somewhat, though a few persistent hangers-on watch from a distance.

"Kirishima," says the Silent Assassin, almost curtly... then turns to look at Zaki. The gangster doesn't look any different than the time she challenged her with Candy...

"... Himezaki Aoi," she greets the redhead, nodding to her.

Yurika gives a light tilt of her head, tapping her cheek with her elbow propped in her palm, "Do you think so? I'm a horrible judge of such things," she confesses. Of course, that is one of the things she was to be keeping an eye on, Akira's strength. However that's a matter for another time. Catching sight of Aislinn, the girl is greeted with her usual soft little smile, "Ah good da-"
Oh dear. Oooh dear. Aislinn said 'that name' and suddenly Yurika cringes slightly, having known she'd forgotten something.
"Tch.. Good evening, Aislinn, I ah.." Yurika starts, her lips then curling inward. She looks to Zaki, gesturing to Aislinn with her gloved hand. She never did comment on Aislinn's attire, did she?

Zaki just thinks she's gotten sloppy in general. She hasn't said specifically if she thought she was still out of it when she was up against the new girl. She wasn't there to judge, after all. And for that matter she hasn't sparred with Akira personally for who knows how long. And you can bet she's still musing on things like this right up until Aislinn walks up and says her name like -that-.
"G- goddammit. You don't ever say it that way, okay Aislinn? You address me as Zaki, and maybe if you're feeling lucky you can call me Aoi, but you don't ever say the 'h' word. Got it? I don't need no stinkin' tiara." she grunts, popping her collar and making her chains rattle a bit as she leans away from the wall. The gangster then takes a moment to look the other girl over and crosses her arms afterward. "Kinda surprised you got away with all that. Yurika didn't mention how you dress and I guess I didn't ask. Huh." She doesn't sound disapproving at all, just, like she said, surprised.

Aislinn hides a smile. Already she can get under Zaki's skin, just like that... this should be amusingly fun. Aislinn merely... looks at Yurika, then Zaki, in turn. Her mode of dress? Well, you know. It's better than an easily-ripped-up standard uniform, really. And it lets her stand out in a somewhat subtle way.

"... of course. Zaki." The tone is slightly unconvincing... someone who knows Aislinn better will note that, and it certainly means that Aislinn will be saying Himezaki again, that's for certain.

"Thank you for agreeing to meet with me," says the young NESTS agent, more sincerely.

Yurika folkds her gloved hands in front of herself. Obviously it's not in regulations, but it would seem the the administrators haven't made any sort of move just yet. They like to nip problems 'in the bud' after all. How Zaki bypassed this is a mystery, but the current situation.. Perhaps it's pulled strings on Yurika's part. She seems to be going through an awful lot of trouble for the Silent Assassin, and as discreetly as possible in most circumstances. She doesn't know Aislinn to well just yet, but smile returning to her lips, she notes, "Please remember that.. Zaki-san's rules are few, but you do not break them."
Her attention then shifts back to the gang leader, "As I had said before, she's transferred from Gedo, so she's a little rough around the edges.. But seeing as I've done my part from this point," she looks to Aislinn again, "Shall I take my leave?"

It's no mystery. Zaki choked some bitches is what happened. Isn't that one of the rumors the girls still talk about? Yeah, they're probably not legends yet but they're pretty well-on-their-way to it. In any case, the gangster herself is calming down now. That was only the first time, and pretty much everyone does it whether they're warned first by more seasoned students or not.
Giving a nod to the quieter of the two girls and her word of thanks, she replies, "Sure. Was there something in particular you wanted to talk about? I get the feeling that if this is something particularly involved then- Yeah, that. Yurika will say something like that." The gangster rolls her eyes and looks over toward her friend again, shrugging slightly. "I guess it's fine if you have somewhere to be but it's really not like you just to serve as the messenger for one of our own. We've got the 1st years for that, as Aislinn has clearly already noticed." Yes, gesturing to the girls still lingering to watch.

Aislinn meets Yurika's gaze calmly. Why the girl would want to leave, Aislinn doesn't understand; but in any case, she shakes her head, briefly.

"There's no need for you to leave, Kirishima. I'm sure you'll want to see this anyways." A little smirk on her lips, just the slightest... as she turns towards Zaki.

"I'm sure you must be expecting this. I want to test myself against you." A little match, so to speak. And the reasons are as pure as any... Ais doesn't need DNA samples just yet.

Having stated her business, Aislinn walks over to Yurika, setting down her bookbag at Yurika's feet; that done, she walks back out to the open area in front of the garden.

The answer must be that Yurika has bias of Akira over Zaki, zomfg! Though not completely true, Yurika does act slightly different under the company of Zaki, but then again, who doesn't? But in this case, she's also slightly paranoid that the gangsters eyes have been locked onto Yurika as of late.
"Oh?" the prissy student says, feigning suprise, "Well now isn't that interesting?" clearly she doesn't mind the bag being set near her at all. Though she also can't help but laugh in amusement to the first years still about, it's no suprise that Assassin has gained some popularity. And of course another angle she'll be keeping an eye on.

Iori enters the main hall.

Hyo enters the main hall.

Athena enters the main hall.

Maki enters the main hall.

Zaki uncrosses her arms and rolls her shoulders forward a bit at that, nodding her head to Aislinn again. "Yeah. The thought had crossed my mind. And I've got plenty of time for it, at that. Especially if Yurika here is all ready to leave on me like that."
And as soon as Aislinn starts setting her bag off to the side, the redhead takes a moment to click the chain off of the little lock dangling from her neck and pulls it taut between two fingers from either hand. "It's your challenge, so we'll start when you're ready. And like I said, Yurika. You can go whenever. I won't get mad. You just seemed like you had more to say. That's all. I don't know exactly what you've been up to, but... there's been other people hinting at certain things." Ah, you can't see smirks behind that mask. Right.

COMBATSYS: Zaki has started a fight here.

Aislinn knows, going into this, that she is likely to lose. She's studied Zaki, after all, and the Seijyun gangleader is a formidable opponent; the records of her fights in the World Warrior tournament are proof enough of that, and going back there is even more evidence... Aislinn doesn't bother with stretching or anything show-offy like that, really; just tilts her head left, then right, and raises her hands.

First stance is a standard combat stance; leading right hand and foot, left back by her chin. Almost a boxer's stance, except that her legs are spread wider apart. There is, however, no immediate action taken; only Aislinn's cool lavender eyes, watching Zaki...

COMBATSYS: Aislinn has joined the fight here.

Zaki hangs back until she's sure Aislinn is ready, and that taking her stance is all that she really intends to do for now. She doesn't mind having strike first in the slightest, but it was still the other girl's call, this being her test. Eventually though, the chain is dropped from one hand, with the end of it left to fall and clink against the tiled path leading into the grounds from the gate. And from there it starts to slither and jump, seeming like it could strike at any moment. ...but it doesn't. Not on its own. Instead the gangster kicks it, and should it go far enough past one of Aislinn's legs she intends to turn her wrist and get it to loop around the new student's ankle before jerking back on it and using it to flip her high into the air.

COMBATSYS: Aislinn endures Zaki's Chain Flip.

It isn't a test if she doesn't get hit, right? Aislinn glances down... then doesn't move as she's flung upwards; attached to the chain by the loop, she seems to be... concentrating. There's no attempt to free herself from the chain... only an effort to redirect her falling body, to make her landing aimed right for Zaki.

As she plummets, heedless of any danger to herself (her landing will be a hard one, no doubt) she concentrates, and raises her fists up high, aimed behind her; there's a flare of bright light and suddenly Aislinn is dropping down in front of Zaki, slicing the air with a pair of bright blades of chi energy, the power flaring, shaped by her will into blades nearly two feet long and almost a foot wide at the base... one on each hand, seeking to rake right through Zaki's body.

COMBATSYS: Zaki blocks Aislinn's Plasma Lancer.

Aislinn          0/-------/---====|===----\-------\0             Zaki

Kyosuke enters the main hall.

Zaki takes advantage of the fact that her chain is already on its way back to her after being yanked out from under Aislinn, and catches it in her free hand before crossing the length over itself and forming a big steel X for the falling girl's chi blades to grind against rather than the gangster's body. And this works for the most part, but, she hasn't really got any chi in there to reinforce it, and with her weapon being metallic it kind of serves as a conductor for heat, electricity, and etc. Good thing she has gloves, right? Though that's not their only use. They make grabs easier too, and that's what she's going for next. Nevermind about the landing if this works out the way she wants it. She's gonna drop the chain and catch it on her knee, whilst catching Aislinn by the shoulders and dragging her face down onto her knee. "Hnn.. "

COMBATSYS: Aislinn dodges Zaki's Medium Throw.

Aislinn          0/-------/---====|====---\-------\0             Zaki

Not this time; Aislinn, having landed in a crouch, throws herself backwards in a quick, two-round tumble, ending up a fair distance from the gangster. People always try to grab her; it's a good thing she got Zaki to miss on this one. She rises from her crouch, but doesn't look particularly pleased--then again, she doesn't look particularly annoyed, either. It's all part of this 'game'...

As is this. Aislinn chooses to display an ability here; she slides back into that combat stance, but bends her knees a little lower. No 'haaaa' to be heard, but energy starts flicking around her feet and then rises up in a wave over her, crackling electricity flowing along her hands and her feet, from her boots up to her knees.

COMBATSYS: Aislinn gathers her will.

Aislinn          1/-------/=======|====---\-------\0             Zaki

Jhun enters the main hall.

Zaki takes a step back and straightens the still-bent leg so that her chain slides down and tinks against the steel toe of her high-heeled boot, which she then kicks up so that it comes to shoulder level and she can take it in hand again and start twirling it. "Pretty good so far. I can see where Akira might have trouble. God I hope that Takuma guy doesn't start teaching her that crap you're doing now though. She's loud enough when she fights as it is. I can just see her squatting and kiai-ing at me for like five minutes. It'd be terrible. The slap I'd have to give her, I mean." *grunt* "You're not making any of those awful sounds though so it's fine."

COMBATSYS: Zaki focuses on her next action.

[      \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\  < >  //////////////////////////    ]
Aislinn          1/-------/=======|====---\-------\0             Zaki

That last comment is almost funny; clearly Zaki doesn't know Aislinn's nickname... though there's no reason she should. The energy fades from Aislinn's body, absorbed and subsumed, and Aislinn merely holds stance for a moment... then breaks into a dash, heading straight for Zaki.

It may appear that she's going for a shoulder tackle--but she isn't. Instead, she closes in.. . then attempts to grab Zaki's shoulders and leap up, using Zaki as a pommel horse. If that's successful then she'll twist around in midair and drive her knees into Zaki's back. A bit flashier than Aislinn is used to, but she can't slide in a skirt...

COMBATSYS: Zaki interrupts Medium Kick from Aislinn with Kuuha no Tessa.

Aislinn          1/--=====/=======|=======\-------\0             Zaki

Kurow leaves the school grounds.

Akira leaves the school grounds.

Nope, Zaki likely has no idea. Just as she has no idea she's fought the girl before. With the fact that it ended up two on one, and she was madder at Candy after what she made her do to that poor freshman... she's not real likely to either. Unless she gets Needle Stormed! Right now though all the gangster is really concerned with is teaching Aislinn a lesson about trying to jump over her. It's just not done. She has really good anti-air. At the apex of Ais's upward-spring Zaki's chain shoots straight up as if fired from a gun. And when it connects it doesn't just stay at the point of impact. It kind of rolls from that spot like it's trying to move *past* her ratther than through her, at an angle that's meant to send the girl into a spin. The redhead's not entirely in the clear, though. She let the other student get pretty close and while it's not knees that hit her, feet are likely to go everywhere when one is struck that violently.

Quite simply... ow. Aislinn's world is suddenly turned topsy-turvy as she's spun and she lands quite hard on the ground... the thump is audible as far away as the classroom buildings, and some of the first-years that stayed to watch wince visibly. It takes Aislinn a moment to gather herself; but gather herself she does, pushing off and rising to her feet.

She isn't quite sure what she wants to do at this point; Zaki has damaged her quite severely with only two hits... and yet she wants to return the pain, as it were... but can she? Once again, she tries to focus--maybe only doing as much as being able to clear the cobwebs of her head.

COMBATSYS: Aislinn focuses on her next action.

[            \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\  < >  ///////////////////////       ]
Aislinn          1/--=====/=======|=======\-------\0             Zaki

Zaki drags her chain back across the tiled path rather noisily as she watches Aislinn climb back to her feet, and rather than begin to twirl it through the air again she starts to wrap it tightly about the fingers of her right hand, balling it into a nice shiny fist and weighing it a few times on approach, before she quickly starts to dart in and try too throw a jab at the leather-wearing schoolgirl's nose.

COMBATSYS: Aislinn fails to interrupt Weapon Jab from Zaki with Jab Punch.
- Power fail! -

[              \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\  < >  ///////////////////////       ]
Aislinn          1/=======/=======|=======\-------\1             Zaki

Aislinn reacts almost instinctively.... and the problem with that it she doesn't react -instinctively-. Calculated risks be damned. Aislinn tenses, and lunges forward as if to try to take Zaki's mask off before the chain can connect... and she totally misjudges the chain's length. There will be a beautifully blossoming bruise across her cheek; the slapping chain knocks Aislinn straight to the ground.

Yeah, that's a nasty trick sometimes, but it could've been worse. She could've got close enough to jab with the whole chain-wrapped fist, but chose instead to pull her punch back just short and let the chain unravel and carry with the momentum, keeping her mask just out of reach of Ais's grabby hands. Maybe she has a mask since or something.
"Che. That was pretty weak, I wouldn't expect it to drop you like that. C'mon, get the hell up!" As for herself, she's not exactly going to just stand there casually all close at hand, but she is going to give a moments pause to unwind her chain and get the kinks out of it, right foot beginning to tap along so that her heavy heel clacks against the ground.

COMBATSYS: Zaki gains composure.

[              \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\  < >  //////////////////////////    ]
Aislinn          1/=======/=======|======-\-------\0             Zaki

Yurika again finds herself in a situation where she wishes she had some tea. Which, when she thinks about it, is rather odd. She never saw fighting as 'entertainment', even though she dind't truely see it as such, it's just.. Enjoyable.
Pretty odd indeed. And as usual, Zaki is just being Zaki this match, and Yurika must say, it's rather pleasent not being on the opposite end of her scolding.

In time... in time. Aislinn rises to her feet and sets herself, ignoring the nearly-broken jaw and the flowering pain and bruise across her cheek. Her sturdiness is praise-worthy, at least. She could check her teeth, but no need; if any are loose or missing, NESTS will fix them when she goes back for her checkup this weekend. And she twists her head around, popping her neck back into joint.

"What was that.... Himezaki? Did you think a weak strike lk that would take me down...?" The words aren't spoken in a mocking fashion though that's clearly the intent... rather, the tone makes it a real question.

COMBATSYS: Aislinn gains composure.

Aislinn          1/--=====/=======|======-\-------\0             Zaki

Takuma leaves the school grounds.

Zaki points one of those thin, scarlet eyebrows upward and tilts her head back, glaring at Aislinn down the entire expanse of her glossy black mask. "Uh, is your hearing okay? I just said that. I didn't expect it to drop you, and you just hit the ground. You trying to tell me you were just taking a knee? More importantly are you *trying* to piss me off? Cuz I *know* you heard what I said about the 'h' word."
The gangster then turns away for a moment, and thrusts her hand back to make a beckoning motion. "You know what, just c'mere, I'll show you how hard my chain can really hit." But she doesn't wait. She reaches way back and takes her chain in both hands before putting all of her weight behind it and swinging it like a heavy flail, leaning forward with the intent of making the new girl eat every damned link.

COMBATSYS: Aislinn fails to counter Deep Strike from Zaki with Banishing Hammer.

Aislinn          1/------=/=======|=======\-------\1             Zaki

Aislinn's face no longer looks like the face of a Seijyun girl. The chain strike--it's just devestating. Far more than Aislinn could handle. Even close up, like for Yurika... it doesn't look like Aislinn did anything--except eat chain. The strike hits her so hard it rebounds her off the ground and it's only after the rebound that she recovers enough to plant her right foot behind her. No broken bones, but the soft tissue has been completely ravaged.

And yet... she doesn't seem put out (other than sudden, intense, and lasting pain.)

"Yes... I'm trying to 'piss you off'," she says, her words understandably mushy.

"Your anger... is a liability..."

... or maybe she just has a deathwish.

"... Zaki." No... not entirely so. Or she woulda used the full last name again.

Zaki draws a deep breath after completing her turn and slowing the pivot of her heels to a halt, letting her chain fall slack a moment and shaking it out. Kind of like an aluminum bat, you hit something solid that hard and you're gonna get back some of the vibration. Or, maybe she was just that angry and she's shaking *that* off now that she's been satisfied.
"Hn. Okay, well that's kind of a given. Lots of people tell me that. Most of them are teachers... but, that's exactly why I don't fight it. I don't do things how people tell me I ought to. Odd that you're worried for me, though. I'd almost call that cute. Isn't this supposed to be about *you* though? I mean, if I'm supposed to be playing psychoanalyst too then give me a better hint. I just met you and we obviously play different games."

COMBATSYS: Zaki focuses on her next action.

Aislinn          1/------=/=======|=======\-------\1             Zaki

Aislinn spits out a gigantic gobbet of blood and a couple of teeth. Yeah, she'll be spending time in the biotank later. She -hates- that. It reminds her too much of... well, nevermind. This fight is nearing its end, one way or the other; it's unlikely that Aislinn will last long enough to actually take down the gangleader and that isn't the point of this little exercise.

"Merely... offering advice," she murmurs, trying to move her jaw as little as possible. The torn up flesh... well, it's not good. Needless to say Aislinn will be going off-campus tonight. It won't help her heal, but Aislinn needs... -something-... to bring her to the end of this fight, and so she settles for once more calling energy from the earth, into her... more subtly this time. And she beckons to Zaki. No more mind games, no more words... just a desire to see the fight through.

COMBATSYS: Aislinn gathers her will.

Aislinn          1/--=====/=======|=======\-------\1             Zaki

Zaki gives another nod of her head, curt as usual, and then pulls her chain tight between her hands again, holding it out in front of her much like a nunchuk minus sticks. "So noted. Advice is no big deal to me." However, seeing someone spit out teeth kind of is. She doesn't know Aislinn can get new ones that aren't, y'know, implants, and in the interest of not causing her to lose anymore she makes up her mind not to aim for the fair, or even throw the chain at her as is her usual want. Instead, she's gonna run at her with it, and try to clothesline and then choke her with the steel length until she calls it.
Of course, this is all assuming she makes it through all the energy that Aislinn's still surging with and however she might choose to direct it, and that she can get her to the ground and pin her.

COMBATSYS: Aislinn counters Chain Strangler EX from Zaki with Banishing Hammer.

[                    \\\\\\\\\\  < >  //////////////////            ]
Aislinn          0/-------/-------|=======\===----\1             Zaki

Maybe... it's just to prove a point. After all, she's barely touched Zaki to this point; one blocked attack and several nasty failures have turned the fight into a rather one-sided slaughtering of Aislinn. But when Zaki rushes Aislinn down, the girl proves that, at least for once, she's ready; her hands shoot out, underneath the chain, and up between her arms; and then she's got Zaki's head in a vice grip, for the express purpose of headbutting.

One, two, three headbutts happen in rapid succession and then Aislinn releases Zaki, twisting to her left and firing off a right knee to side-kick combination to finish the move... and then Aislinn drops her guard. She knows she's beaten, and though she could draw it out...

"Thank you for the fight," she says, through her broken mouth.

"You are every bit as powerful as I have come to expect."

So now the question is... will Zaki take one last shot?

Well then it seems that Zaki has more than one reason to be surprised. She thought *she* was about to end the fight stangling Aislinn on the ground, but in the event that she was knocked stupid for trying like that she certainly wasn't expecting Aislinn to leave it at that. She knows the other student is pretty messed up, and probably tired too, but... what the hell time is it anyway?
"Nngh. Damn. Yeah. Was curious about your style anyway so don't sweat it." She's been staggered quite a bit, and her chain is on the ground while she holds her head with one hand and checks for bleeding with the other. Sucks about having hair that crimson, as you won't really be able to tell all that well where your headwound is in the mirror. "You still here, Yurika?" Or did she go for tea now...?

Just as Yurika had hoped, there were a couple of suprise twists in the match, she really couldn't predict the results of their somewhat unique personalities colliding. However, she most certainly didn't stick around, suddenly something was really really bothering her.
The girls dark eyes shift to the side a bit, and the moment Zaki looks to where Yurika was last standing.. She's nowhere to be seen.
She didn't even excuse herself, which is slightly unusual but Zaki also knows at times the girl is quite serious about her tea.

... and by the time Zaki looks back for Aislinn... -she's- gone too, somehow. Maybe they're -both- ninjas. Zaki might wonder that the next time she sees Aislinn--in class or on-campus--she'll have all her teeth and won't look like she got hamburgered... but then, fighters are always healing wounds like that without much in the way of scars. Unless they -die-. Which Aislinn didn't. Not yet anyways.
