Neo League 326 - #346: Drake vs Hinako

Description: For Drake's first match in the Neo League, he fights a little blonde girl inside a moving subway train in Metro City. Hinako has a little trouble getting her hands on him at first, but she then goes on to show why you don't want to mess with a sumo. (Winner: Hinako)

Being a fighter involves so much travel. It's a good thing Hinako doesn't easily get motion sickness. And at least Metro City is a bit more easily reached than some of the locations fighters have been sent to for SNF match ups. It takes a little bit of time, but Hinako eventually manages to find the subway station she's looking for, where things have been arranged for the purposes of this match. There are a lot of people in the station, but most of them aren't looking to be an audience... They're just trying to board the train.
Hinako quickly boards the train once she arrives, since she knows that a subway system as busy as this isn't going to hold up for long for the purposes of a fight. Even just reserving this one car probably required a fair bit of monetary compensation beyond ticket prices.
This won't be Hinako's first fight in a moving arena, and she actually has a bit of advantage when it comes to this. It's hard to upset the footing of someone who's wearing heavily weighted boots.

First fight abroad? No, not really. It isn't even Domino's first highly televised match. But it -is- his first street fighting-style match on an official capacity. So Drake is pretty well pumped with energy for it. He trots down the subway steps, the hood of his robe drawn over his head. His right fist starts to lift as a point of showmanship... only not very many people seem to notice or care. What's this? Normal commuters? Where's the roaring crowd? The mass of fans!? The arm lowers again, almost sheepishly.
One Neo League attendant gestures towards the subway car, and this gets a puzzled look from Domino. He's to fight in a vehicle? He thought it'd be the flat of the subway itself. This.. will make things very different. But nevertheless, the model wrestler steps past the attendant and into the vehicle. The first one he spots is Hinako, a previously unknown entity. That being said, he didn't know anything about her even still. Except now he knows two things.
One, she's small.
Two, she's... small.
Smaller than Domino would've expected, at any rate. His hands lift to sweep his hood back from his face and he gives her a bemused, if not slightly lost look. "You're Hinako, right?," he asks. And he then unties the sash holding the robe together to cast it aside onto one of the seats.

Hinako smiles cheerfully at Drake and nods in response to his question. "That's right! And you must be, ah, Domino, right? Let's have a good fight, okay?" Just a cheerful little girl, it seems. What on Earth could she /possibly/ be doing here? None of the League employees seem to see anything amiss, however, as they work on checking the cameras that are set up around the car. Can't fit an audience in here, but the live feed should provide people with a pretty good show.
Once the cameras are set up, the technicians make a hasty retreat to another car. You can never be too safe when it comes to dealing with fighters. One man does pause for a moment before he leaves to say, "Okay guys... Your signal to start is when the train starts to move, which should be any moment now. Get ready!" And then he's gone.
Hinako peers at the staff for a few moments as they leave, then turns her attention back to Drake. "Okay, we'd better get prepared!" And so saying, she slouches forward slightly, keeping her feet spread and her arms held out in front of her. Her palms are facing toward Domino, fingers slightly curled. And showing off one of the less feminine things about her appearance; namely the athletic tape wrapped around her hands and fingers. Apparently she has /some/ idea of what she's doing...

The demeanor she shows is awfully disarming. Disarming enough that Domino actually finds it amusing, and he snickers softly It isn't taunting though - it's lighthearted. "H'okay," he agrees with a grin. Well, he's seen stranger these past few days, so who is he to judge?
A nod is sent to the technician and Drake backs up a few steps. His hands ball into fists, and his right foot shifts forward. The left fist rests at chest level, and his right fist angles downwards before himself at a beguiling relaxed position.

...And the subway car starts to move. Domino wobbles slightly with the movement, his previously cool expression going a little wide-eyed. He quickly catches himself again and re-sets the cool, nigh emotionless look back on his face. That was the cue to start the match, after all. So the wrestler rushes towards her quickly, aiming a quick but sharp reverse knifehand strike for her cheek.

COMBATSYS: Hinako endures Drake's Quick Punch.

Hinako is at just the right age to think that Drake is just about the most wonderful thing in the entire world. Having a model for a mother, however, and meeting many of her colleagues, has made Hinako slightly more able than most to resist the allure of an extremely pretty young man. Combine that with the fact that she takes fighting rather seriously, and she's not going to let Domino's charms affect her fight in any way. ...She might ask for an autographed photo after the match, though.
Drake's hand chops into Hinako's cheek, but she doesn't allow it to throw her off her game. Her head jerks from the impact, but her arms are already reaching out toward Drake. One reaches for his shoulder, while the other seeks to hook under his arm on the opposite side. If she can pull that off, she then proceeds to toss him down to the floor of the subway car.

COMBATSYS: Drake dodges Hinako's Kake Nage.

Drake proves that his sleek body isn't simply for looks, but for practicality when she attempts to grab ahold of him. He swiftly pulls the arm back to chamber, then turns an outwards spin to manuever outside her attack in full. Arms reach out to attempt hooking her shoulders while also attempting to lock her head under his arm. Provided that this succeeds, he rolls back and simply uses the momentum to flip her over to land on her back.

COMBATSYS: Drake successfully hits Hinako with Quick Throw.

For a moment, it looks like Hinako is going to slip away from Drake's attack. She sees it coming, and starts moving to avoid being grabbed. Unfortunately, she fails to account for the pole right next to her. It's normally meant for people to hold themselves up with, but now it serves as an obstacle for Hinako to bump into, allowing her to get flipped up and over Drake.
She lands heavily, but she's quick to scramble back to her feet. She lunges at Drake, attempting to slam into him and wrap her arms around his waist. Should she succeed, she then leans back, yanking Drake up off hif feet and throwing him into the car's ceiling.

COMBATSYS: Drake dodges Hinako's Tasuki Nage.

Once the slam is delivered, Domino curls back onto his shoulders and kips up cleanly to his feet. He turns around quickly to find the blonde girl attempting to grapple with him. Deciding that, though he may be physically stronger than her, it's best to not take chances. He skips back, letting her arms loop only air, then moves immediately in again. He attempts to grab her into a front facelock under his left arm. He then attempts to through her left arm behind his neck, while his right hand sets to her leg. Pushing and lifting with the right hand, he attempts to invert and hold her suspended upside-down, then suplex her down hard onto her back.

COMBATSYS: Hinako interrupts Strong Throw from Drake with Rebound Throw.

Drake's assumption that he is physically stronger than Hinako can probably be considered an error on his part. He manages to get as far as getting her under his arm, and getting her arm around his neck... But while he's reaching for her leg, she's reaching out to push on his waist. She then manages to stand up straight, dragging Drake bodily right up off the floor with her.
One usually doesn't expect to be picked up so easily by someone in such a poor position, and Hinako doesn't hesitate to take advantage of that. She yanks on Drake with all her strength, attempting to break his grip by sheer force and then hurl him all the way to the far end of the car.

Drake pulls on her.. and.. nothing happens? The wrestler has only a second to blink before finding himself brought up, then -launched- to the other end of the subway car. His back smacks against it with a wince, and he drops to land on his front flatly. He stays down for a couple seconds, attempting to process what just happened. She's strong. Much, much stronger than he gave her credit.
Also: OW.
Though the wrestler does finally push himself to his feet with a scowl. He certainly looks a bit more banged up than he did earlier, posture a little more slouched. Despite this, Domino rushes towards her quickly to resume fighting. Just before he enters strike range, he shifts his body to the right in a swift spin. This closes the remainder of the distance and ideally sets him more towards her unprotected side, whereupon he launches a firm right-fisted backhand towards her cheek.

COMBATSYS: Hinako endures Drake's Crescent Fist.

Hinako is already moving to meet Drake when he spins at her, and she's not going to let a little blow to the face slow her down. Drake's fist slams into the side of her face, causing her to stagger to the side. She quickly slams one foot down, however, keeping her from losing any ground. A quick spin of her own brings her around to face Drake once again.
The sumo's hand is already lashing out, attempting to drive a quick palm strike into the center of Domino's chest. She then immediately shifts her hand upwards, trying to hook it under his arm and use it as leverage to hurl him down to the floor.

COMBATSYS: Hinako successfully hits Drake with Combo Throw.

Once the attack is delivered, Domino sets his focus on the defense.. except it doesn't turn out that way. The surprisingly firm strike to his chest stuns him, and he flips over with her attack, landing squarely upon his back. He squeezes his eyes shut briefly, then glares up at her before rolling to the side and getting back up to his feet. He moves in quickly, attempting to hook his arms around her waist to hoist her off her feet and draw her in for an extremely tight bearhug.

COMBATSYS: Hinako interrupts Blackout from Drake with Morote Zuki.

Hinako takes a deep breath as Drake climbs back to his feet, slowly pulling her arms back. She plants her feet firmly and keeps her gaze locked on the wrestler. And then she waits. She makes no attempt to flee or change her posture as he reaches out for her, and it's only just as his arms are starting to close around her that Hinako strikes.
Both of her arms shoot out, palms striking Drake in the chest with enough force to send him once more flying across the subway car, and possibly do some real damage to the wall when he hits it. This is the kind of blow that even steel plating isn't going to stop.

Drake is pretty sure he has her, when she suddenly proves that she's a heck of a lot more powerful than she appears. Drake is sent flying back, smacking into the wall. It dents heavily with an audable crunch of metal. Favorably though, the back of the subway car isn't blasted clean off. Elsewise, the model would be taking a hard tumble down the tracks. Regardless, when Domino slumps onto his knees and forearms, it's pretty clear that he doesn't have much energy left. Regardless, he pushes himself up to his full height again and rushes for her. This time when he reaches her, he attempts to grab ahold of her shoulders to yank her body over and lock her neck between his legs. His arms then go to loop around her stomach to hoist her into a piledrive position. His arms briefly give a bearhug to crush the muscle of her torso, and he leaps as high as the subway car will allow. In this leap, he pulls into a sudden forward flip. The spin turns rapid enough to give the appearance of a fully blurred circle between the two of them, and he drives that momentum against her head and shoulders at the end of the piledrive.
But after that? That's all Domino can push himself to do. So either way, he slumps until he just falls over onto his back.

COMBATSYS: Drake can no longer fight.

Hinako isn't the most agile of fighters, and a subway car makes for pretty tight quarters. There is still, however, the option of backpedaling. And that's just what the sumo does, quickly retreating as Drake reaches for her, and continuing back until his strength finally gives out. Which is good, because she hadn't thought her plan through very far beyond 'not getting grabbed'.
A few moments later the train begins to slow down, then pulls into the next stop. A few moments before the doors slide open, Hinako makes her way over to her opponent and extends a hand down to him with a friendly smile. "Nice fight!"

COMBATSYS: Hinako has ended the fight here.

Drake stays pretty well motionless, save for telltale signs of life. Particularly, breathing. When she speaks up, his eyes open to halves and he gives a half-smirk in humor. The angered, steely look of earlier has been replaced by the same amiable one she was first greeted with. Amiable, but weakened. "Was it? Seemed kind've.. fast.. to me." His brow furrows in thought, then he spies her hand. His own reaches up to take it and attempt pulling himself to his feet with a stagger. "Dynamite really comes in small packages," he quips to her.

Hinako's smile just gets brighter in response to the compliment. Then she glances around for a moment before looking back to Domino. "Um..." She glances down at her toes, putting her hands together in front of her and nervously tapping her forefingers together. "I don't suppose I could get an autographed photo or anything?" She looks up, blushing a bit. "Maybe?" Hey, the fight's over. She can think about other things now.

Drake blinks his dark eyes at her in surprise. "You just beat me, and you want an autograph?" She gains points for brightening an otherwise completely humiliating loss.
For reals. Big premier in the Neo League, and he gets beaten by a small girl.
"I don't have any on me right now," Drake admits. He teeters to the side and lifts an arm to prop himself on one of the metal beams. "But I definitely need to rest and recuperate before I have my SNF match later. Wanna get some food or something?" His head tilts a little inquisitively, free arm reaching back to grope for his previously-discarded robe.

Hinako starts to feel a wave of disappointment when it turns out Drake doesn't have any pictures, but then she blinks. Go out for some food? "Sure!" She nods her head eagerly. One, it's an opportunity to spend some time with a really cute guy. Sumo is a higher priority concern, but she also needs some time to rest. Two, a chance to eat is always good. Hinako's no glutton, but she still has a fairly good appetite.
