Description: Dammit! Why are they still sending Roberto's matches to Taiyo's Dome Arena? Will he be able to overcome the Dome Arena Curse? Will Akira be able to build a foundation for future matches? (Winner: Roberto)
The Neo League execs must have a really sick sense of humor arranging yet another Neo League fight at Taiyo's Dome arena. Even after Roberto said he didn't want any matches there for awhile. On the upside though, there's no crowd so he doesn't have to worry about thrown trash.
The camera crew is set up with lights shining down on the field and he's standing in the middle of the field juggling a soccer ball by himself as he waits for his opponent a slight frown. "Jeeze... couldn't they find another place for my bouts?" I guess the other places had been booked solid.

Akira steps into the Truce Dome, noting that there isn't a crowd. This is her first match, she reflects, it's probably good that she didn't start out with one otherwise she'd be pretty embarrassed--her record, lately, isn't that impressive.
She looks upand over to Roberto, throwing him a small wave, "Hey there," She says, "Sorry for keeping you waiting. You ready?"

Well if Akira's gonna make her debut, Roberto is the ideal opponent. The Soccer Genius doesn't seem to have that good a record within Neo League and Roberto also seems to be suffering from the Dome Arena Curse so Akira might pick up an easy win.
Roberto smiles a bit when his opponent arrives and the juggled soccer ball drops to the ground. He says with an easy going smile on his face, "Let's kick things off." And with that he's kicking a soccer ball right for Akira

Akira might also get owned. "Oh, kick things off--and you play soccer," She laughs, "I get i--*HOOMPH!*" She's smacked right in the chest by the ball. She stumbles back, blinking in surprise, and then glances down to the bouncing ball along the ground. She tilts her head at it, opening and closing her mouth for a moment, before leaping up into the air--and throwing herself in a flying kick towards Roberto's chest. "Hya!" She shouts. "That was pretty good!"

When Akira takes to the air Roberto sets himself up in somewhat of a goalie's ready stance and then her foot goes towards his chest. The goalie brings his fists together and punches the foot upwards with a goalie style deflection. He doesn't give her time to let her feet hit the ground before performing another two fisted punch this time to give him some breathing room.

Akira is punched in the chest--and hisses through her teeth in pain at the strike, but she doesn't let up that easily. Instead of stumbling back, Akira lashes out with her hands, grabs for Roberto's arm--and uses his own Momentum to heft him up--and throw the world class soccer player over her shoulder and towards the ground. "Hya!!" She shouts to consolidate her force.

Roberto goes up and over Akira's shoulder. The problem is that somewhere in the process of going over Roberto slips out of her grip as he twists himself over to land in front of her with a smile. "That was close... Too close."
The soccer star doesn't sit there to admire his good fortune but rather he moves in with a glowing chi engulfed foot as he swings it up at Akira to ideally send her into the air. "Ummmph!"

Akira tries to slide to the side--but once again, is just simply too slow to avoid Robert's brutal assault. She's slammed up into the air by her chin. Today's not her day--but it's too early for her to give up! She lashes out with her hands to grab at Robert's body as she sails upward--and grabs for his shoulders--aiming to steady herself. Alright, she thinks, she's got an idea of how this guy rolls. Time to play catch up.
Akira twists herself down so that she's behind Roberto--and then attempts to throw the fellow up and down into the ground in front of her. She's too hurting to shout this out.

Akira moves behind the soccer star it's a tactical mistake. One of the famous moves of soccer players the world over is the Bicycle Kick. It's just the ideal set up for it so he quickly back flips towards motorcycle chick throwing a foot into her head as if it was a soccer ball. After the kick lands, he lands fairly hard onto his back."Ouch..." After that he's getting up to his feet slowly. Hopefully Akira won't kick him while he's down.
Akira apparently does intend to kick Robterto while he's down. It may not be the kindest maneuver, but Roberto has been mopping the floor with her so Akira doesn't exactly feel the need to be kind. Not that she -wants- to be rude, but she wants to give a good fight. And if giving a good fight means not being the most honorable fighter ever, then that's exactly what Akira intends to do. It'd be different if the fight was close!
Akira throws several kicks at Roberto, aiming to smack him up into the air, smack him a few more times with his foot feet, and finishes off the assault with a palm thrust for his chest. "HA!" She shouts, her body moving at a terrific speed as she seeks to even the odds!

Akira should probably know that there probably was something wrong about the way he didn't quite move out the way of that barrage of kicks. The goalie pretty much gets smacked around in a brutal combo until he gets palm struck away from her to land in a crumpled heap on the ground.
And once again he's near that soccer ball. Of course how could someone who's so slender take so much punishment. He looks like he's done for, but then when it's least expected, he quickly rises to his feet to spin around and kick away the soccer ball. It was a ruse!!! How unsoccer-like a tactic. Of course Akira might notice a difference with how this ball is kicked in that it's not only faster but it's glowing. If Akira has the misfortune to be anywhere near said soccer ball. It will explode with a massive burst of chi engulfing her with glowing pain.

Akira hasn't had much luck lately with fights either--but it seems like Roberto's luck has started to change in regards to this arena. Good for him! Akira is not just NEAR the soccerball, she's hit full on! On the one hand, instead of being thrown back like a doll, Akira actually charges through the chi, letting out a pained gasp as the ball sears into her body attempts to slam into Roberto's midsection with her shoulders, and then push him back down into the ground, hopefully searing Roberto with his own chi--just a little.
But despite that last desperate maneuver, Akira is done--and collapses to the ground in a heap soon after.

Roberto bends his knees and prepares to perform a goalie-style dive out of the way of that shoulder charge but when he goes to make his dive out of the way he hesitates... His body is slammed in mid air as he leaps and is sent flying into a heap of his own. They're about to be counted out when Roberto rises to his feet. After the officials announce him as the winner he collapses down onto both knees panting heavily. "Damn... That hurt. Alot..."
Akira's desperate technique may have, in the end, just not been desperate enough. But it made the fight that much closer, at least. Akira will have to make do with that. She lays on the ground, on her back, and laughs a little. "You've gotten really tough, Roberto." She admits, "I underestimated you at first--and I guess you showed me." She doesn't say she's hurt, but she isn't getting up--so she probably is.
"I've been taking soccer balls to the gut lately. I've had no choice but to get tough." He falls flat on his stomach with a bit of a groan, "How about we lay here for a bit I'm too tired to move." With that the soccer goalie just lays there and closes his eyes. Give him a few moments and he'll be ok.
Akira says, "Now I have, too." with a soft laugh. "Thanks for the match. Good fight."
