Description: Hinako and Momoko fight one another for honor, for glory, for Neo League points, and for a free meal at a fancy Chinese restaurant. Hinako is the victor, but Momoko also ends up with a free meal. So really, everbody wins. (Winner: Hinako)
Ah, the Neo League. Fun for fighters everywhere. At least, as long as you don't get matched up against some of those /mean/ people. Luckily in this fight Hinako will get to face off against Momoko, instead of one of her partners from the SNF where the two girls last met each other.
A fairly upscale Chinese restaurant has been chosen as the venue for this fight, an area cleared in the center of the place to provide room for the girls to fight, while patrons sit at their tables and enjoy dinner while watching the show. Hinako has made a fashion concession for the fight, dressing in a purple cheongsam with golden flower blossoms scattered across it. She is still, however, wearing her heavy boots and has tape on her hands. Need to be prepared for the fight!
In addition to the glory of victory, the owner of the restaurant is offering a free meal for the winner and a friend. It's not really Hinako's thing, but it's a nice bonus. Still, she's more interested in the fun involved in the fight itself. Momoko was a pretty interesting opponent, and Hinako looks forward to facing off against her again.
It'd make sense for Momoko to dress up in a cheongsam, too! ... But she didn't think of it, still being relatively new to this whole idea of 'themes'. Peeking around the corner from the staging area, her eyes open wide as she sees Hinako. It's easy to pick her out, after all. "Wow... that's so pretty! I should get one, I should..." She pauses for a moment, looking down and tapping her cheek with her fingertip. "Maybe next year!" she concludes, "I'll grow into it!"
Her momentary soliloquy over, she springs into full view! No cheongsam... just her school's capoeira uniform! Striding out to the center, she waves back at her opponent, all smiles. "Hello! I'm Momoko, I'll -- " Blinking, she cocks her head to the side. "Ohhh! You're that sweet sumo wrestler from that one match! It's a pleasure to meet you again!" Beaming, she curtsies to Hinako in greeting!
Returning to an upright position, she takes another step forward -- but rather than a rigid, formal stance, she adopts a very loose, swishing step. "Let's both do our best, okay? I will! You will too, right?"

Hinako's stance isn't that rigid, either, although it's not quite as loose as Momoko's. She smiles at the younger girl as she settles forward, giving her a friendly nod. "That's right! It's not fun if we don't both do our best to win. We don't want to disappoint all these people, do we?"
And just a moment later, it's time to begin! Hinako rushes across the cleared floor toward Momoko, trying to slam herself full tilt into the other girl. She reaches out with both arms in an attempt to wrap Momoko up, then pull back and fling her up toward the ceiling.

Crowd appeal is the most important component of all! "Right!" comes Momoko's ready assent, as she bobs lightly upon her toes!
And there are =so= many people here, realizes Momoko with a quick glance around. It's almost claustrophobic, really... chinese restaurants are rarely large!
But here Hinako is trying to grab Momoko and lob her into the ceiling! "Wh...whoa... you're fast!" she announces under protest! But, having fought Hinako before, she has a vague idea of what to expect from the toss! She braces for the impact, curling up into a ball defensively... and when Hinako grabs onto both arms, she simply curls up tighter, plants her bare heels upon Hinako's ribcage, and =vaults= into the ceiling! Sure, Hinako may have been tossing the girl, but she'll go even faster, this way!
... Just at a different angle. And while Momoko does have her hands out to catch the ceiling, she wasn't counting on the ceiling tiles to give way to her hands. Momoko goes partway =through= the ceiling, dinging her shoulder on the metal framework underpinning the tiles. Gravity pulls her right back down soon enough, along with a shower of ceiling tile fragments. Luckily they're cardboard.
Coughing up insulation fibers, Momoko dusts herself off, looking up at Hinako with mild discomfort as she resumes her ginga.
Hinako blinks in surprise a few times, both at getting kicked and the events afterwards. Well... It seems that things didn't work out /too/ badly. Momoko's light enough that her kick didn't wasn't hugely painful, and she appears to have taken the throw less gracefully than she might like. "Are you okay?"
Hinako waits a moment to see that Momoko is still capable of getting back up and breathing properly, then she resumes the attack. Lunging forward, the sumo attempts to drive a palm strike into the center of Momoko's torso. She leaves her hand there, though, trying to step past Momoko so that her arm hooks around the younger girl, then use that leverage to knock her down to the floor.

"I'm fine!" Luckily Momoko didn't get any insulation down her throat -- the coughing was just a reflex, really! She nods back in reply to Hinako's concerned query, even going so far as to flash a V-sign with her fingers, just like Athena might!
But it's not long before Hinako's resuming her attack -- something which Momoko thinks she might try avoiding this time! "Thanks for asking!" she chirps in reply, cartwheeling to the side while Hinako's palm strike collides with the air in her wake.
But when Momoko's feet touch ground again, she continues again for another half turn and a twist... for she's pivoting about on one hand as she spins both feet around to sweep Hinako's feet out from beneath her! "Yaaaa!"

Knocking Hinako's feet out from under her is no easy task, but it looks like Momoko managed to hit her in just the right spot. The sumo girl topples, hitting her elbow as she strikes the floor. "Oof!" She's not done for long, though, clambering back to her feet with a shake of her head. "Nice one!"
And with that cheerful rejoineder, Hinako is going after Momoko once more. The little girl is slippery, so Hinako might have to soften her up a bit before she can manage to get a good grip and start tossing her around. The sumo lashes out with a quick three strike combo, trying to drive Momoko back with palm strikes to the chest and shoulders.

Momoko spins back to her feet without much delay, her fingertips spread wide for balance! The crowd is loving this battle so far, it would seem -- a fact which only makes Momoko's smile grow! ... But the pace of the battle is also making her a bit hot, so she backflips once more, worming out of her jacket in mid-flip and tossing the jacket aside to a cheering audience member. "Thanks!" she chirps -- though whether it's to the audience member or to Hinako's compliment isn't entirely clear.
She's ready for the strikes though! The smaller girl thrusts her forearms into the path of those strikes, smiling brightly even as her lightweight frame shudders with each blow. This is what she loves most -- a partner who's just as enthusiastic as she is!!
She's forced to take a few steps back from Hinako in the process .... but with a sudden backsault at the sumoist, she's closed that gap again! She aims to kick Hinako once, twice, thrice in the face before her feet touch the ground again. "Ya! Ya! Ya!"

Well, Momoko's backflip may be quick... But it also leaves her open to attack. As long as one doesn't mind being kicked in the face, that is. And for Hinako, well, do you even need to ask? One bandaged hand lashes out, attempting to put a bit of a cramp in Momoko's style. Unfortunately, it doesn't go quite as planned. The little girl is just a bit too quick, and once her feet start striking Hinako in the face it's a bit late for the sumo to recover. She's sent staggering back, taking a moment to get her bearings.
Momoko probably =shouldn't= have kicked her opponent in the face, but... well, she's still getting used to that actually-touching-your-opponent deal. It's not something she's had to do all that much in her own sport. When Hinako flies backwards, Momoko backpedals three steps, gasping, her hands covering her mouth. "Ah... I'm sorry! Are you okay? I didn't mean to hit you there, I didn't, really!" But while Hinako's recovering, Momoko's taking a moment to back away as well, her face hot with embarassment as she examines Hinako's face closely. She didn't do any permanent damage, right?

It doesn't take too long for Hinako to recover, and although she's got some foot-sized red spots on her face she largely appears to be okay. "Oh, don't worry about it! I've had worse!" She grins, then claps her hands together before settling back into her combat stance and assessing the situation.
And a moment later she rushes Momoko once more, reaching for the girl's shoulder with her left hand, while lashing out at her stomach with the right. If she can manage to drive her hand into Momoko's stomach, she's going to use her grip to follow up by flipping the younger girl right up and over her shoulders.

Momoko smiles once Hinako brushes off the attack. "That's good! It's good, it's good!" she repeats with a gentle bobbing of her head. Swaying to her own beat, the twelve-year-old seems like she's more than prepared for Hinako's arrival... but the fact that Hinako's reached out with two simultaneous attacks seems to have confused her.
In effect, Momoko weaves forward, swinging her clear of the grappling hand but slamming her into the palm strike. She sputters from the sudden rush of air from her lungs, but the slim legs that might have helped her evade the rest of Hinako's attack are useless when she's being flung overhead. "Iyaa!" she cries, hands and legs windmilling to either side for balance -- just before she crashes into the floor. So much for that balance!
Hinako spins around immediately after launching Momoko into the air, but she doesn't immediately move after her fallen opponent. This has been a very good natured fight thus far, so she pauses and waits for the younger girl to climb back to her feet. After that happens, though, she doesn't hold back. "Here I come!"
Running once more toward Momoko, Hinako reaches out in an attempt to slip an arm under her shoulder. If she can pull that off, Momoko's light enough that she shouldn't really need much more leverage. Just a quick twist to send Momoko crashing down to the floor.

Momoko flips back to her feet, snapping a quick salute to Hinako. "I'm okay!" And when Hinako gives her warning, the pink dynamo bobs her head, bouncing lightly upon the balls of her toes. "Okay!" chirps Momoko in reply! Such a friendly match!
And when Hinako lashes out to grab her, Momoko somersaults to the side, leaping right over Hinako's grasping hands! She was starting to run out of space to fight, after all... "Almost!" she adds cheerily upon landing.
But she doesn't stop -- rather, she hits =reverse=, aiming to slam her rump into Hinako from the side. "Ichi!" And should she manage that, she'd dig in her heels and slam her again for a second, then a third check! "Ni! Saaaan!"

This attack really seems like one that's rather awkward to pull off. Awkward enough, at least, for Hinako to scoot to the side and let Momoko simply thrust her butt out at the air. (And hopefully not at any perverts in the audience!) This does, however, present Hinako with a good opportunity. "Almost, but not quite!"
The sumo girl rears back, lifting one leg up off the ground. Although she doesn't use them often, Hinako does have a few techniques that use her feet! Will Momoko discover this to her peril? Hinako sweeps out with her foot, attempt to hit Momoko just a little bit above her ankles, then keep pushing through to knock her off her feet.

Well... it's kinda tricky actually: with Momoko approaching Hinako from a reverse angle, she can't quite see her attacker. And with her legs suddenly being swept out from under her by Shijou, the girl realizes a split-second too late that the room's spinning. "Uwaaa--"
The crowd goes silent one split second before her head bonks into the marble-tiled floor, the hollow sound echoing throughout the restaurant.
That... was unexpected. Momoko's rhythm is totally off as she curls into a fetal position for a moment, tears welling up in the corners of her eyes. She may be a tough little tyke, but that =hurt=, folks!
She pushes to her hands, but she doesn't bother getting back to her feet -- that'd mean showing her face to the audience, or to Hinako! And she's determined to make a good show of this fight, rather than just stand back and let it happen! Her legs split, as she twists to deliver a double spinning kick to Hinako, hopefully giving the pre-teen some much-needed breathing room! "Yaaaa!"

That was a bit more effective than Hinako was expecting. A hand flies to her mouth in surprise after the sound of Momoko's head connecting with the floor. "Oh my gosh! Are you okay!?" She actually looks worried for her opponent. Punching and kicking and blowing people up is all well and good... But head trauma like that can be /serious/! ... Well, okay, Hinako throws people headfirst into the ground all the time. But Momoko is just a cute little girl!
But, it looks like Momoko is okay! Hinako ducks down and crosses her arms in front of herself as Momoko kicks up, letting the girl's feet bounce off of her guard. She quickly reaches out, attempting to snag Momoko while she's still in the process of landing so that she can toss the girl back down to the floor. Hopefully not head first this time.

Well... the problem here is that Momoko never really intended to =land=. Right after her kicks landed, she was fully planning on using her rotational momentum to send her into a tumbling kick, continuing to plow into Hinako for even more damage! ... But Hinako reaching down to pick her up kinda puts that on hold. Momoko struggles about as she's plucked off the ground, finding that she's not quite able to kick off air the same way she could off the ground. "Araaaa?" she asks no one in particular -- but that's about all she can manage before Hinako slams her back down!
She doesn't land on her head, but rather her back, as she tries to flip out at the last instant. She fails at that, rolling onto one side afterwards before kicking back to a safe distance. Panting, she looks back at Hinako... and forges a weary smile. "You're still pretty tough, you know! You're strong, you are!" Even with all that... the girl keeps bobbing along to her unheard beat, as if that's the only thing keeping her standing...
Hinako smiles back at Momoko, giving her a 'V' sign with her fingers. "Thanks! But you're not bad yourself, and this fight isn't over yet!" And to drive that point home, Hinako advances on Momoko once again. She leads with her left hand, holding her right back slightly. But exactly what she's going to do isn't clear until she gets in range, swinging her right hand upward in a sweeping motion. Her fingers are held in a cupped position, kept firmly in place to dig into her opponent as she sweeps her hand up Momoko's body.

Smiling warmly, Momoko nods back emphatically with Hinako's cheery compliment. "Mm-hmm!" She sways back and forth in her ginga, calmly awaiting Hinako's arrival... but when the teen actually gets into her range, Momoko seems a bit flustered. She steps sideways, but Hinako's a bit too fast for her, nailing her in the ribcage and knocking the pink dynamo wildly off-balance.
So much so... that the girl just topples to the floor, exhausted. She starts to curl her hands together, but in the end, just smiles back at her opponent. It's been much too friendly a battle for her to use =that=.
"Thanks for the fight!" she offers with half-lidded eyes, in place of the Esper.
It's now Momoko's nap time, it would seem.

Hinako blinks a few times. That was a very... peaceful loss. Oh well! It was a fun fight, and that's what really matters, right? The crowd begins to cheer, and the owner of the restaurant comes over to hand Hinako her free dinner coupons while the paramedics come to take Momoko off and make sure she's okay.
Hinako is forced to stick around by the crowd of people for some PR matters, but as soon as possible she hurries off to check up on Momoko. And give her one of the coupons as a way of saying 'thanks for the fun match!'
