Description: Takuma and the Muay Thai Master have a Chinatown throwdown! (Draw Match)
It's been a while since the Master of Muay Thai has been summoned for a League Fight. It has been some time indeed. The Muay Thai Tiger almost forgot what the summons looked like. However he figured it out and here he has arrived. Southtown's Chinatown is the place where the match has been arranged to be set up. A couple of streets have been blocked off and traffic has been redirected for the upcoming match. Sagat arrived early and remains in the sectioned off fighting area. He's disrobed and in fighting attire; A pair of trunks and his leg and forearm wrappings. By now people have gathered to observe and watch what's scheduled to happen. The Muay Thai Legend waits patiently with his eye closed.
Takuma, too, hasn't had a league match in some time; between teaching at the dojo, and participating in Saturday Night Fights... but when he received the letter and saw who the proposed opponent was he couldn't very well say no. The Muay Thai Master himself--Sagat. While a Tony Styles may currently hold the title of Muay Thai Emperor, Takuma must consider the massive Sagat, with his rich career, to be merely biding his time. And to test his skills against such a powerful Muay Thai fighter... Takuma arrives 'on the scene'... from the crowd, leaping from their midst and sailing high before landing at the opposite end of the marked off area.
"Sagat. Muay Thai Master." Takuma grins, showing no fear at all. "This ought to be interesting."
The Mighty Muay Thai Tiger's eye slowly opens up after Takuma has made his arrival into the sectioned off fighting area. With the two fighters within the 'ring' the crowd begins to get louder. Their dull roar growing into a frantic cheering and rooting for whomever they feel is their 'champion' for this fight. The Tiger eyes his opponent and nods, "Interesting is one way of putting it." The Former Emperor of Muay Thai utters towards his opponent. Without another word, Sagat straitens his arms out at his sides. After a moment of concentration, Sagat will hold his arms behind him at a slight angle. The arms bend at the elbows, "TIGER!" shouts the Thai Legend as he shoves his arms ahead of him in a thrust. His forearms and fists erupt into flames and Sagat sends a firey crescent of chi energy to meet his League opponent.

Even after Sagat begins the fight, Takuma just stands there. Even after Sagat's Tiger Shot comes sailing in... Takuma just stands there. Only at the last moment does he raise his arms and absorb and deflect the chiblast, streamers of fading energy surging past him.
"Hmm. Not bad," he replies, rubbing his forearms... pushed back a little by the blast, it doesn't bother him too much, surging forward to re-cover the ground and more, seeking to meet Sagat's midsection with a flying kick. Classic Karate, of course.
COMBATSYS: Sagat endures Takuma's Medium Kick.

The Mighty Tiger has tossed his flaming crescent of chi and then lowers his arms into a more defensive posture. He's not just going to stand there and look impassive as the fight begins. As the first volley is loosed, the crowd goes even more wild. Sagat's careful eye stares towards the other fighter before him, watching him react to the Tiger Shot. It was expected that the man would weather the assault well. The Flying kick is also dealt with the same vigor that Sagat gives everything. The kick comes in and collides with Sagat's midsection, just as Takuma intended. Sagat, however, allowed for the strike to hit home. Takuma, being a seasoned fighter, would recognize the feel of tensed muscles underneath the collission of foot against abdominal flesh. Alarms may go off for Takuma... understanding that Sagat's next reaction will be a quick one. Sagat will look to lift up a leg and swing at the hip in an effort to catch Takuma with a powerful twisting knee strike just as he hits the ground.
COMBATSYS: Takuma fails to counter Medium Kick from Sagat with Mouko Burai Gan.

Takuma was, in fact, expecting such a retaliation the moment he felt his kick hit; like any practiced, trained master, he knows Sagat took that hit. Unfortunately, the planning on Sagat's part seems to work well; Takuma is smashed in the hip and stumbles sideways, his attempt to defend a touch slow.
It was a tried and true technique, most people that study the art of Muay Thai would have recognized the set up before Takuma lept for the Tiger. However Takuma shouldn't be expected to know the nuances of Sagat's style. The Mighty Tiger will hop back once after landing the strike against Takuma. This is, perhaps, a bad move on Sagat's part. A fight of Takuma's skills could use that time to prepare a defense or a counter strike to what Sagat plans to do next. What does he do? He rushes forward for the Karate Master and launches into what can be called a 'Combo'. A leg flies up towards Takuma's hip. It is slow and meant to be blocked. A jabbing strike with his right arm is sent towards Takuma's head... meant to be blocked again. A quick upwards angled elbow strike would be considered the true manuever of this combination. Sagat's powerful elbow is sent on a collision course with Takuma's jaw.
COMBATSYS: Takuma interrupts Medium Punch from Sagat with Zanretsu Ken.

Takuma is certainly willing to, as one says, 'play'. The lead-in strikes are blocked, effortlessly, just as they were meant to be--and then comes the elbow. It strikes--but not in the chin. Instead it takes Takuma in the chest, but he ignores it in favor of retaliating. His retaliation is swift and brutal; his fists pounding out like a pair of pistons, he fires a swift series of straight punches at Sagat's torso, each punch laced with golden energy--and then Takuma steps in, to tag Sagat's chin with the last strike, a right uppercut.
Those swift series of strikes collide hard with the weathered old Thai warrior. The uppercut manages to lift Sagat off the ground and when he lands, he stumbles and falls to his back. He's only on his back for a moment, as he rolls backwards and is back on his feet within a breath. Sagat stares upwards towards the Karate Master, a grimace forming on the man's face. Sagat knew this opponent would hit hard... he needed that. He won't improve by fighting those weaker than he. He needs a challenge. Sagat stands and rushes forward. He will grunt and leap forward. He thrusts a knee forward as he lunges, meaning to hit the man in his finely chiseled midsection. If he hits, he will then grab his opponent and throw him to the ground in a slam.
COMBATSYS: Takuma blocks Sagat's Medium Throw.

Takuma thrusts his forearms outwards, crossed, to meet that flying, thrusting knee. He's willing to accept the damage from that because he suspects Sagat had more planned, and he 'goes with the flow' in order to avoid that something extra. But then... well, it's his turn to come back and attack, isn't it?
Takuma lunges forward, twisting to power a knee upwards, into Sagat's chest--and in a move similar to Muay Thai, that's just the setup for a high thrusting kick aimed for Sagat's jaw.
COMBATSYS: Sagat blocks Takuma's Strong Kick.

Takuma 1/-------/=======|=======\-------\1 Sagat
The Mighty Thai Warrior will grit his teeth in disappointment as he feels his efforts being thwarted by the blocking of his knee thrust. Sagat will land on the ground just in time to meet up with Takuma's counter-offensive. Sagat's brickwall defense holds firm as his own tensed arm muscles are brought up to form the impenetrable defense. Sagat buffets the knee strike to the side and steps sideways in the opposite direction, "TIGER-" He suddenly shouts as he hops up. His powerful leg muscles sprung the Muay Thai master up into the air. It was a rather point-blank attempt to pull off this move, but Sagat hopes the lack of distance between the two of them is his advantage. As he flies through the air, his legs will be tucked under him and a knee will be thrust out in an attempt to connect with Takuma's jaw, "-CRUSH!" He will say when he's supposed to slam into the other fighter.
COMBATSYS: Sagat successfully hits Takuma with Tiger Crush.

Takuma doesn't like the way his chances look--but the distance -is- to Sagat's advantage, as the knee thrust connects and makes Takuma stumble back.
"UGH!" he shouts, as he stumbles back. Fortunately his jaw isn't broken... and then his head snaps up, eyes glinting as he attempts to take advantage of the distance, himself, launching his body forward with a lunging right fist...

... and feeling his fist connect he launches into a combination of strikes; left hook, right jab, left knee to high kick, right straight punch, then a back-leaping side kick that puts some distance between Sagat and himself--and then the final part of the combination comes roaring to life, a gigantic wall-like blast of chi hissing out to smash Sagat across the body.
And Smash is a good word for what occurs to the massive Muay Thai Tiger. each strike hits its intended spot, as Sagat's famous defense was mistimed and misjudged. Takuma gets the better of Sagat and his blocking attempts are merely a second too late of each strike. Sagat will collide, hard, against the ground. The Mountain of a Man will eventually roll up and get back to his feet. It will take longer than before however. Sagat raises one of his large hands to rub at his forehead before cutting his eye towards Takuma. He gives the man a nod before furrowing his brow and racing off towards Takuma once again. He's going back onto the offensive, even after the beating he just endured. It has to be a calculated move, "TIGER-" he shouts as his stride slows and the big man twists at his hip. His arms come to his sides and his legs bend at the knees. Sagat's almost kneeling for a second before his powerful legs spring him up into the air, "-UPPERCUT!" bellows from the Thai man as he thrusts a fist skyward and towards Takuma's chin and torso.
COMBATSYS: Sagat successfully hits Takuma with Tiger Uppercut.

These people and their uppercuts. Takuma is, well... well and truly mofo-tagged by that massive uppercut--it doesn't even just knock him over, it blasts him into the air... and yeah, he's going to be out... but he's got at least one last thing to do before that. He points an open palm, as he flies, releasing a blast of chi... probably not well-aimed, but hey, give him credit for trying at least. And getting Sagat almost down.
COMBATSYS: Takuma can no longer fight.

Not well aimed, but aimed enough. The Mighty Sagat is careening through the air after the uppercut and has no means of redirecting himself. He's not Balrog. The blast collides with the powerful Thai Warrior and it cuts his flight through the air short... as well as his victory. Sagat slams into the ground below, a painful crushing sound against the street. Sagat looks up with a groan, exhales and lowers his head. Seems like the Thai Legend has no more fight in him.
COMBATSYS: Sagat takes no action.
COMBATSYS: Sagat can no longer fight.
As for Takuma? He just lands flat out on his back, bouncing once off the pavement. But then... he's only out for a few moments, before sitting up, grimacing at pain which indicates bruises will soon be. Whether Sagat can hear him or not, he comments in the larger fighter's direction, "Every bit as powerful as I thought. You do a service to your martial art." Then he lays back down, because our concussion have us sleepy.
The Muay Thai legend hears the praise from Takuma, but he merely lays there, head against the ground. He stares up above him towards the sky. He mutters something to him and waves a hand dismissively... probably a sign to fight coordinators that he's done here. The crowd continues to cheer wildly after the display of power and might from the two combatants.
