Neo League 176 - #191: Terry vs Guy

Description: Sir Terry of Bogard calls out a challenge to Sir Guy of Metro. All-American baseball pitch brawl ensues! PROTIP: Hit ninjas to cause damage. (Winner: Terry)

Once upon a time there was a humble stableboy named Terry, who fulfilled his life-long dream of becoming a knight in service of King Jeff. Many seasons passed... boy became man, and the noble ruler passed away at the hands of the villainous Duke Howard. Striking a solemn vow that he would one day avenge the king's terrible murder, Sir Terry pushed himself long and hard, travelling the lands in search of worthy challengers who might help with improve his art. One day, toward the end of a particularly harsh winter, he received word that another man hailing from his homeland of Americania was dominating an international contest - taking all comers with a powerful combination of power and stealth. His tale was a heartening one in itself, this 'ninja' a fellow hero himself, but it was clear what Sir Terry of Bogard must do!

Ahem.

Sun is sparkling through the dingy clouds this day, beaming a light warmth down onto the previously chill baseball pitch where the Hungry Wolf now stands. A throng surrounds him on every side, seated in the low stands around the field. Students of Pacific High, and others who simply hold a love for the martial arts, are cheering for their favourite pick - and surprisingly enough? Their hometown legend isn't the only man to hear his voice screamed with passion this day. His opponent has made quite the name for himself, and many of the high school's pupils hail from Metro City... so he gets an equal billing. Aside from anything else, those watching both in person and at home know for damn sure this'll be a match to remember. Two red-blooded American titans with vastly differing styles and a number one spot in the Neo League at stake for one of them.

Could it get any better?

Not for Terry. He's been keeping himself in shape lately, and a competitive match like this is exactly what he needs to prepare for Bernstein's upcoming tournament. Grinning coolly, he waits in the hitter's mark, looking toward the opposite side of the field as he awaits his opponent's arrival. The crowd's cries and those of the League announcer go mostly unheeded; he's long since finished showboating, signing autographs for those kids that wanted them, and all he wants is to get on with what should be a memorable fight.

COMBATSYS: Terry has started a fight here.

COMBATSYS: Guy has joined the fight here.

The legendary Hungry Wolf. One of the strongest men alive in the entire world. Fairytales aside, he's one of the strongest men in the world. Guy, one of Metro City's saviors, gets to fight him today.
Guy's beaten him before, so no sweat, right? Except last time, both Makoto and Haggar had their chances at Bogard, and he just came in to clean up after them. And he still almost lost. This cold morning, it's a personal affair, one on one. The odds are against Guy, and he knows it. However, this is precisely the reason he joined the Neo League - so that he could fight people on a level with Terry, and learn to defy the odds. Guy has no illusions about his strength, and to defeat people like Rugal, like Vega, and all the rest who threaten the world, he has to perform better. This is just one step on that path. That makes it more important than any points Guy may lose today.
Stepping out of the 'Home' dugout to the cheers of the crowd, Guy looks severe. However, the effect is somewhat lessened by the plain red baseball cap he's wearing, both a nod to his opponent and the place they're fighting at. Calming pacing to the pitcher's mound, he looks at Terry for a moment, staring in a fashion generally considered to be rude. He then reaches into his vest and produces, what else? A baseball.
Winding up, Guy steps forward and straight-up launches it right at Terry. Nevermind Terry's lack of a bat. In a game, this pitch would send the Wolf to first base anyway.

COMBATSYS: Terry fails to interrupt Thrown Object from Guy with Burn Knuckle.

Right. That fight. Possibly the strangest tournament Terry has ever taken part in, that last King of Fighters... who knew a single entry could go down multiple times and keep getting seeded in progressive rounds? The memory takes a moment to trigger, but when he watches the shinobi step out clad in a hat rather similar to his own it all comes flooding back. "Long time no see!" He calls over, grin broadening briefly before he draws himself back a half-step, bouncing a couple of times on his heels, experimentally. Limbered up nicely, he steps back to the mark and falls into his habitual stance.

Of all the ways he'd expect Guy the hardcore ninja to open a bout, it never quite occurred to him that the apparently serious guy had a sense of humour like the one he displays. It takes a little too long to register exactly what he's doing, and while the crowd busily go wild behind.. the Wolf merely blinks at the incoming ball. "Uh-BURN---!" Cut off in the middle of some decision, his fist is beginning to cock back, flaring with a little red-gold energy as the baseball thunders in to belt him right across the face. The toss is hard enough to pitch the ponytailed blonde /right/ off his feet, hurling him back a good couple yards to land heavily on his back with a dull whump.

Then? He starts laughing, long and hard, eventually pushing himself to his feet sporting a healthy red glare across his nose and one cheek. Shoulders quivering as he listens to the announcer shoot off about that opening shot, it's a few moments before he finally draws himself back into his stance with a swift beckoning motion to the red-capped Guy. "Alright... guess you win that one, man! What say we get serious? C'mon, c'mon!"

Still looking dour and serious, Guy does not cheerfully respond to Terry. Now is not the time. However, he is heartened slightly by the fact that his screwball's still got it. He can't remember the last time it actually knocked someone on his ass, but then again, it's been a while since he's actually been in a game.
Shaking his head very briefly in an attempt to concentrate on the task at hand, no easy thing when your opponent is as amiable as Terry is. Guy has to remember that he's here to beat Terry up, not have a friendly drink or pass hugs all around or something.
As such, he only gives one concession to Terry - a simple nod, a slight inclination of the head to indicate that he's more than ready to 'get serious'. Raising his arms up, the Bushin ninja is, by all intents and purposes, ready. However, he doesn't attack - not yet. Instead, he holds his ground on the pitcher's mound, sneakers firmly planted on the dirt. Rushing into a fight like this could easily be considered one hell of a mistake.

COMBATSYS: Guy focuses on his next action.

There was hardly an expectation of returned cheeriness from the ninja. Terry knows Guy well enough by reputation and that past encounter to go assuming he'll be all buddy-buddy right from the outset, and all else aside... this /is/ a fight. An official battle that comes along with certain expectations as a result. They're here to beat the crap out of each other for money, fame, glory, fans, and whatever else might spring to mind. It's the first bit that the Hungry Wolf cares about most - not least now that Metro's finest has proven he can toss a mere baseball with the power many strive years to endow in their best techniques. Did we mention that really hurt? Ow.

"My turn, huh?" The blonde murmurs, a small smile creeping back onto his lips as he starts forward at a swift lope toward Guy, closing the distance while he gains speed and momentum - though clearly holding back just enough to get a full measure of his opponent. Bright blue eyes survey his posture, the tension in each limb, and then send their judgement for his consideration. Formulating a plan doesn't take long. Why should it? Terry's here to kick ass, not ponder the inherent problems in existence. When he gets near enough he breaks into a two-step sprint, at the last throwing himself forward with a short leap, torque from his upper body lending what power he needs to leave the ground and then spin about through fully three hundred and sixty degrees. "Heads up!"

Lashing out with a powerful right leg, he aims to bring that Converse-clad foot right across the side of his opponent's head. There's more than moderate force behind the blow, and if it hits then it's immediately followed with another when he touches back down onto the pitch - a forward lunge bringing him back in close to swing his left leg up in a basic boot to the chest. "HAH!"

COMBATSYS: Guy interrupts Strong Kick from Terry with Bushin Senpuu Kyaku.

Terry            0/-------/--=====|=====--\-------\0              Guy

Glad that Terry isn't pressing the point, trying to be overly friendly at a time when violence is key, Guy simply stands and waits. Let Terry come to him - the ninja plans to be ready. The roaring of the crowd, the fans waving their arms and maybe little Terry or Guy flags, it all slowly fades, as Guy's world narrows down to one man - his opponent, Terry Bogard. Seeking the moment, the perfect moment to act. When Terry leaps, he sees that moment.

And boy, if you thought the baseball hurt...

Jumping up to meet Terry, Guy takes the initial kick prematurely, and not in the exact spot that Terry may have planned. The reason is simple - Guy is rotating, his own sneaker (one of a pair of Air Guys) at the end of his outstretched foot making him resemble a certain World Warrior. It comes around, and in this case, it should be pretty clear whose sneakers win. WHAM. It impacts Terry, driving him back up as Guy continues to rise. WHAM. It comes in again, sending him higher still. WHAM. The last one just knocks Terry away, as Guy brings his leg in to complete his spin and land.
Upon reaching the ground again, Guy stands there, a silent watcher, hands in front of him, prepared for Terry's next assault.

There isn't a lot the blonde brawler can say to that. Suddenly whipped from his planned flight into one he'd rather not have flown, he doesn't even find time to cry out or express a single sign of pain - only astonishment. Eyes wide, he finds himself chewed up and spat right back out at the peak, sent spinning through the air back toward the rather less comfortable ground. Oof.

Terry lands across his shoulders a moment later, taking the full impact with a strained grunt and almost toppling completely to the floor. Almost. Instead, a quick application of effort sees him rebound up into a tight backflip, which he unfolds from to land fairly smoothly on both feet. But he's breathing hard after the early pummelling at Guy's hands, and clearly needs a timeout... or so any onlooker would be inclined to think. Once more defying expectation, the Wolf flashes his opponent a grin that shows every sign of pleasure right before he darts forward again, expression becoming noticeably more serious and focused. Hypocritical him.. he went and let the ninja get serious while he carried on coasting. Time to feel a change.

"POWER-" Bullrushing the waiting man, he becomes a blur at the last moment, a flickering cascade of energy suddenly exploding off his shoulders to form an after-image behind, fronds of dark orange and vibrant gold following him into a well-known technique. Rearing up with a smooth application of effort, he aims to catch Guy's chin with a harsh rising shoulder, lifting the stern warrior clean off his feet in preparation for his own pained flightpath...

"DUNK!!"

Crying the last as he feels a desired impact, Terry launches himself heavenward with a dramatic upper body twist, once more spinning about but this time to a far greater effect. A fist cocks back, flying around behind him and then streaming overhead with a devastating *whooomph* as chi manifests to massive effect. A light around his strained knuckles that is almost blinding, the Wolf brings them down upon his prey with a violent expulsion of breath, /slamming/ the wily shinobi toward the floor with such force that it causes him to do much the same...

He barely stays upright on landing, dipping low into a half-crouch and forced to suck in a long lungful of air to clear his head before he can stand. That technique always takes a lot out of him. But here? Here it did the trick. "..close, man... close..."

With less time to prepare, Guy nonetheless continues his policy of not letting Terry complete an attack against him. However, this time it seems that his timing is off just a little. Just enough to make it so that when he steps forward, intending to duck down beneath Terry's attack, he instead gets a mouthful of shoulder that carries him up, temporarily out of control of his own movement. It's not a good state to be in, especially with Terry right there, getting ready to punch the crap out of you.
However, at that point there's nothing Guy can do. Terry's massive-ass punch thunders home, and Guy essentially goes limp for a moment. Shot downward at a speed best described as 'way too fast', the ninja hits the ground and bounces once before coming to rest.
It takes Guy a moment to come to his feet again. It's not often he gets hit like that - simple proof of Terry's skill. Proof that Guy, despite doing well so far, needs to redouble his efforts. Maybe, perhaps, he will allow the ground to cease spinning first, his vision to clear. If that took a lot of Terry, imagine what it took out of him. A moment of recovery, a clearing of the head, is required here.

"Just not close enough." Straightening up, Terry watches Guy with a wary eye for any sign that the ninja is not out of the running just yet - making sure his pause is exactly that, ensuring no further assault is forthcoming and that he has an opening. Satisfied, the blonde heaves in one last breath and eases his feet apart, spreading them to shoulder-width and turning himself side-on to his opponent. "Take a load off - god knows you deserve it for kickin' my ass this hard..." Trailing off with a single shake of his head, there's a mixture of mirth and deep respect in the Wolf's gaze, which he keeps on Guy for a few moments while he grants the brief respite. Perhaps he needs it himself.

Regardless, that period is over quick enough. Bogard idly tightens his gloves as he begins moving forward once more, this time taking it a little more sedately. Biding his time rather than rush in, the living legend begins to circle his opponent steadily, leaving his guard raised and mind focused. Whatever time he waits, Terry knows well enough that the effects of receiving an attack like that straight through a countering attempt are rattling at best, awesomly disruptive at worst. He can prepare as long as he desires, and still keep some form of upper hand.

Only fools wait forever, though.

"Ya ready?" He offers quietly, murmuring the question with a slight cocking of one brow. There's a single heartbeat to digest the query before the blonde finally makes his move, dropping to a rather unexpected crouch and then sliding forward on the pressure from one grounded forearm. Launched forward quickly, he seems to be aiming to take the feet right out from under Guy, until the true intent in that extended foot is revealed - it's a kick made to stagger the Bushin master, set him offguard for what follows, as the Wolf flows to his feet and spins instantly around into a swinging roundhouse from the opposite leg. Graceful, fast and punishing... the end result bruised shins and a battered skull.

"FIRE KICK!"

Terry            1/------=/=======|=======\===----\1              Guy

For his part, Guy's somewhat grateful toward Terry for taking his time. It gives him the chance he needs to gather himself, to once again be at least somewhat prepared for an attack. Guy knows it's coming, at some point. The only real questions are how, and will he be prepared for it? The answer to the first is quickly made apparent, as Terry slides in, more quickly than Guy would have expected up to this point. Putting a foot back, bracing himself, the ninja allows the initial kick to slam home against his shin, shifting it only slightly, before raising an arm to the real threat - the other foot swinging around. Clenching the fingers of one hand into a fist, Guy brings it up into the path of Terry's kick. The padding on the back of it helps absorb some of the blow, but it's still enough to make Guy wince. Were he not the stoic being he is, the ninja might well choose to shake his hand out in pain.
As things stand, he's in an ideal position to strike...but he doesn't, instead taking a single step back and staring Terry down. Waiting for what's next. In a fight like this, Guy needs to choose his blows carefully. Simply attacking wildly doesn't do him any good at all.

COMBATSYS: Guy focuses on his next action.

Did he wait a little too long? Maybe. More likely is that the skill of his opponent is a little greater than many might have imagined - Guy is made from stern stuff, and has the ability to carry well the lineage he has learned from. Bushin-ryuu is in good hands. Much like the Hakyokusaken style has found a prodiguous focus in Terry Bogard. Seems this match is turning out every bit as challenging as he'd hoped, in fact.. every bit as it's been billed. Two of the United States' best and most famous clashing in a raging fury.

Okay, we can forget that last bit. Friendly amiability on one side, focused stoicism on the other, but this does not detract from the excitement one bit. They may be largely unheeded by the combatants, but the crowd is going wild and for his part the Wolf is just glad of this test - and he's thrown another curveball here as the shinobi fails to storm in for an expected offensive. He takes a step back and waits. So Bogard partly mimicks him, spinning about in the final motion of his attack, taking one quick glance at his opponent, and then hopping back himself. But he keeps going, step after step carrying him a good sprint away before he stops, grinning slightly and fixing the distant man with a spark in his eye.

"Time for the best, huh?" He mutters, to himself primarily given the distance, and reaches up one hand to adjust his cap. An idle motion, running at odds to the visual effect that develops as a small tremor runs through the earth below his heels, and a flickering fire builds in a corona across the dirt - reds and golds lashing about like animated blades of grass. Seems he's getting himself ready too.

COMBATSYS: Terry gathers his will.

It's come to this, then - a dramatic showdown of sorts, with drama already building, even in a fight as short as this one has been so far. Make no mistake, Guy is tense. Guy is a loaded spring, ready to go off. With Terry backing off, he has plenty of time to prepare this, too. Looking across the distance of the field between them, Guy nods. "The best."
Simple words, followed by a simple start. Placing his foot behind him, Guy crouches down, placing his fingertips delicately on the ground. Whatever he does at this point, Terry will know it's coming, so the only option Guy has as a result is to make sure there's nothing the Hungry Wolf can do about it. Bouncing on his fingers once, twice...and on the third time, Guy takes off, sprinting directly toward Terry as fast as he can manage. He's a blur on the baseball diamond, bent down low to the ground, heading toward a home plate of sorts. Chi builds as the ninja moves forward, until he gets right up in Terry's face, where he's forced to stop, straightening to a standing position, if only so that he's in a position to be able to reach Terry's neck. And he does reach, preparing himself for the real portion of the attack. If Guy screws this up...well. It may very well mean the end of the fight.

Plenty of time? Goes both ways. Terry wants the best, he /expects/ the best...

Thus, he is ready for it.

Watching Guy begin his forward momentum sends a surge of adrenaline rushing through the Wolf's veins, and brings only a brighter shine to his gaze, a more rampant rhythm to the light pumping of his fists as he falls back into his ready stance. Heels pressed firmly to the floor, he waits wary and excited. It's enough to make anyone's hair stand on end, standing in place while a fighter of this calibre comes toward you with full intent to dominate. But moments like these are exactly what he thrives upon. The energy around his feet builds slowly in strength, chi flames licking further up to his ankles and then almost to his knees with a violent spike in that aura as Guy closes fully.

The winds howl. A storm comes.

"HAAAAAA-!" Crying out freely, a primal roar that best phrases the emotion raging through his form, Terry meets the charge head-on, sliding right in as though seemingly allowing that grasp to be obtained. But then he suddenly darts back, cry cutting off with an abrupt expulsion of breath, his arms snapping out to form a perfect, flawless guard. All that gathered energy rushes up his form, warming clothing and flesh alike before it coalesces about his defensive point, triggering a violent explosion that almost launches the Wolf back. He uses it to best advantage, however, unable to hold back a viciously expressed grin as he uses the force to spin around Guy, letting the ninja grip only heated air while the Wolf comes up at his flank.

"NGH!" An effort-filled grunt sounds over clenched teeth, as the whole spectacle is punctuated in simple and brutal fashion, Terry's leg swinging out straight to clip his opponent across the back and send him pitching forward.

COMBATSYS: Guy blocks Terry's Medium Kick.

In a word? Crap! Without a hold, without the point to center himself, Guy can't do jack. It's a battle just to recenter himself, to keep his balance. The roar of chi around Terry is almost too much to bear, and yet somehow Guy keeps himself from stumbling. His feet are firmly grounded when Terry's latest kick comes swinging around, and he manages to twist just enough to interpose an arm. It sends him stumbling now, anyway, but that's fine - the ninja just needed to keep it together long enough to deal with that.
Gritting his teeth, the one moment he was banking on thwarted by Terry, Guy doesn't see much choice at this point but to simply press onward, and finish the fight as best he can. Feeling drained, Guy's best isn't very much at the moment. It's still nothing to disregard, however. Recovering himself from his stumble, Guy moves his back foot toward Terry, and in doing so begins to bring his other foot around, raising it up and sending it crashing across toward Terry's midsection.

Terry finally draws breath again once his hasty blow slams into a solid guard. There is little bother in the failure to fully connect - after all, it /was/ a desperate attempt to keep the ball in his court after such an impressive moment. While the attack may not have raised gasps and stunned silence from the crowd like his defensive manuever, it was serviceable and buys the hometown hero all the time and space he needs. Guy may immediately throw himself back into the game, but his opponent has been given the momentary advantage.

Grinding his heels in, he turns to face the ninja without a grin or a lightweight comment for the first time in this fight. He's too focused now on what has become a struggle to maintain the upper hand, so rather than showboating or offering anything spectacular, he merely raises a tensed palm, gripping Guy's leg long enough to soak the impact. But it does more than that. At the instant of impact, the Hungry Wolf has also drawn back his other arm, holding a fist clenched just behind him, off to one side. Seeming to trigger as that guard is succeeded, his knuckles flare to life - a shining aura sheathing the entire forearm and swiftly moving to coalesce at the striking point.

"Burning.." Spoken quietly, there is a great deal of force behind the word, and Terry's gaze locks onto Guy's as he surges forward at point blank range. Whipping his arm around, the other retreating to fly out behind, he hammers his fist forward in a thunderous blow not unlike that delivered in the skies a few moments earlier. "KNUCKLE!" Once more the ensuing chi eruption is beyond palpable, and at this distance the effect only seems heightened. Should contact be made, the blonde will keep plowing forward, carrying his opponent a good few feet before the powered punch releases him.

Guy gave his best. Now the Wolf has given his.

Frown deepening slightly upon feeling the momentum of his kick soaked by Terry, Guy doesn't have much time to act. Lowering it quickly, the ninja can sense that he doesn't have much time until Terry's inevitable returning strike comes. In an attempt to get out of the way, he almost immediately flings himself backward, body shifting so that it's parallel to the ground. It's not the right decision.
Terry catches Guy right in the middle of the face, driving him along through the air. When he lets up, Guy's still going, crashing down into the ground hard, skidding like a flat stone over a lake, bouncing once, twice, three times before coming down in the outfield. Base hit!
He's in bad shape , it's obvious. Blood is streaming out of his nose, it looks like his eye is starting to swell shut...yeah. Guy status: messed up.
And yet however much it hurt, it didn't hurt THAt badly, as is evident moments later when Guy punches a fist into the grass and staggers to his feet. Dashing forward back at Terry, he pulls out what he has left, and unleashes a series of kicks aimed at various points on the torso, before backflipping away and leaping forward again, powerfully but more than a little wobbly, too. It's one last kick to try to put Terry down.

Unf. Nothing quite like a Burn Knuckle in the morning. Though it takes a great deal more out of the ninja than it does the ponytailed blonde, Terry still takes a moment to recover - he threw more behind that than he usually might, forcing every last ounce of strength from his limbs to lend power to the technique. This doesn't change its legendary status any, but it does make Guy's plight more forgivable... the crowd, however? Know something the Hungry Wolf doesn't. While he turns around after a moment's surveyance of his opponent, lowering his arms to his side and beginning to walk away... they cheer as one, voices raised triumphantly even before Metro's saviour stands.

"Huh?" Blinking as he comes to a sudden halt, Bogard glances sidelong at the crowd and then turns about to face the fallen man. Still up? Then he's defied all expectation, enough that it brings a single nod of respect from Terry - chin dipping low an instant before the rest of his body follows suit. Still fighting or not, /someone/ has to end this. "POWAAAAH!"

*WHOOMPH*

"GEYSAAAAAAAAH!"

Knuckles slam down to compact the dirt, a massive cloud rising out in a gust about the young warrior, then subsequently blown away by the sheer majesty of what follows. The Neo League watches get their fill today, as chi rumbles up from the earth, the entire baseball field quaking underneath the raging pillar that erupts before the Hungry Wolf. Enveloping the approaching Bushin master completely, all the same a single kick does manage to break through, flickering across Terry's head and jerking him a little to the side. An act that stops the fury cold, his energy column dissipating in a scattering mist as his fist becomes an open palm, slapped to the floor to stop him toppling. A moment later, bright blue eyes lift to find his opponent... can no-one stop this fighting machine?

Terry's opponent isn't done yet. Guy has a moment to be alarmed when Terry shouts, but it's too late for him. The spike of chi smashes into him, sending him flying almost straight upward, body twisting, totally out of control. He's still spiralling out of control by the time he lands just a few feet in front of Terry with a dull thud. That looked bad, to say the least.
However, once again, Guy slams his fist into the ground, refusing to stay down just yet. Pushing himself up, abruptly Guy charges forward, kicking off to send himself forward into another flurry of kicks. Again, he backflips away, and this time...well, suffice to say, the jumping kick looks even worse than before. It's the best Guy can manage, however, and should it land it will be no less painful.

COMBATSYS: Guy can no longer fight.

COMBATSYS: Terry fails to interrupt Bushin Gourai Kyaku from Guy with Random Weapon.

"Sonuva..." Tailing off with a smirk, Terry barely has time to give a single shake of his head before he's forced to his feet in a desperate attempt to defend against the hailstorm of punishing kicks suddenly launched toward him. Parrying the first, he's thrown wide open and staggered back by those subsequent, losing balance halfway through and landing right next to third base - a hand briefly slithering over the rough surface and attempting to gain a grip right before the last strike knocks him down fully. Collapsing heavily with a groan of pain, he only barely tucks in a shoulder to roll away.

"Alright, if you won't die, I guess-" His speech cuts away abruptly, as from a seated position he realises the Bushin master has indeed dropped down at last. A blink of the eyes serves prelude to a long pause, the announcer's count registering distantly in the Hungry Wolf's ears until it comes to an end. With his name called out over the loudspeakers, it seems to enthuse a new energy into the lingering blonde. He leaps to his feet with a massive grin, thrusting a weary fist into the air. "OKAY!!"

Let the audience have their moment. They've earned it.

With a final fistpump, Terry ends the moment to then calmly down to look over to Guy. "Still with us, man?" Wandering over, he gets himself on a level with the defeated warrior - whether that entails crouching or simply bending down a little - and offers a gloved hand curled for a respectful grip. "Ya did damn good. Metro City's in good hands, as is Bushin-ryuu. Few points there I coulda sworn you'd kick my ass!" And he means it too, every bit as honest as his reputation suggests. Though he holds true to other elements too... and after that grasp is returned, his words acknowledged, he'll simply turn away and walk off towards Sound Beach.

He's had a workout today he won't forget in a while, but tomorrow is another day.

COMBATSYS: Terry takes no action.
