Southtown's river has never been a sight for cleanliness. In fact, it might be the best place to truly represent the city as a whole. Filled with pollutants, and completely corrupt. Often, it's the site for illegal organizations to dump things they don't need anymore. Toxic waste, drugs, what-have-you. Today, though, this grimey, disgusting river...
Is hosting it's very own LEAGUE FIGHT!!
The fight is actually taking place a good distance from the river and it's signs of 'WARNING: DO NOT DRINK WATER' and instead picks a much more pleasant spot of grass and trees nearby. Camera crews have already set up; there's no audience here. Either they're late for coming, or they just don't want to be close to this atrocious river. as for the fighters?
Well, one of them is here at least! Kim Kaphwan, resident Korean hero, is busy warming up, doing vertical push-ups with a single hand as he waits for the other fighter to arrive. No one said he couldn't train a little before the match, after all; it never hurts to scoot a bit of exercise in wherever possible! For now, he just continues to warm up with a mighty "HUP! HUP! HUP!" to go along with each push up. This should be exciting!
Dan hibiki is the second fighter, chewing on a cruller from a nearby Craft Services table. Enjoying its iced goodness and wholesome carbohydrates with the look of all the joy in the world. No he's not like Kensou who's lust for meatbuns makes him eat during a fight, but the fight hasn't started and he looks hungry!
As he finishes up his delicious and not at all nutritious breakfast, he scans the reporters, looking for anyone who might be disguised. When he's certain everything is on the level, he steps in front of one of the camera crews and gives a THUMBS-UP right into the lens.
Go Dan, Go!
"Hup! Hup! Hu--uh?"
Oh! There's his opponent!
As soon as Kim sees the other man stepping in and giving a mighty THUMBS UP Kim flashes a grin, hopping right back onto his feet. Great, he uses that glorious thumbs-up technique with supreme mastery! Kaphwan gives a nod of approval at the pink-gi wearing manly man, even as he settles into a fighting stance, beckoning Dan with the flick of his hand.
"Hey there! I'm Kim Kaphwan, nice to meet you! Let's give this everything we've got, alright??" He'll just, you know, stand there for now. Being the nice man he is, he gives Dan FIRST SHOT.

Dan turns his beacon-esque thumbs-up from the camera to Kim and says, "Hey, I'm going to give it more than I've got! One hundred and fourty percent of Saikyo is sure to knock you to your knees in an act of worship that will send waves of INCREDULITY through the martial arts community! Don't take it personally, it's not a matter of who's better, it's a matter of what's better! SAIKYO RYUU Will triumph and trump any style in the world! DAN HIBIKI DOJO! The DOJO where you go, Joe! Y'SHAAAAAAAAAAAA!"
With that he's into the air, kicking out three roundhouses in a slow sailing move that looks easy to dodge, but hard to enjoy.%b%bThe Fabulous Dan Dan Kick. Dankuu Kyaku. Dan's kicking it one time for the fans, get a camera crew around and he becomes A-number-one ham!

In truth, Kim just kind of blinks and scratches his head at Dan's entire tirade, but that's alright. All that matters... is that the fight is starting! Dan comes at him, but Kim can see it coming from a mile away. The problem is... he doesn't get out of the way /quite/ fast enough. And jesus, did that hurt. Each roundhouse kick strikes securely, and sends Kim flying. However... he's quick to land, right on his feet. "Great!! That was a lot of power!" And, flashing a grin that quite literally sparkles, Kim LEAPS into the air!!
And dives straight for Dan. "HYAAAAAAAAAA!!" Intent on striking the man with fast-flying bicycle kicks over and over again, the final one meant to launch Kim right into the air and Dan into the ground.

Dan blinks as he watches Kim come down on him with the rotating feet of justice, and steels himself, puffing his chest up and laughing like an idiot, "That's right! That's right! Come to Saikyo with your skill and, hey! Agh! Agh! Wait agh! Stop Agh,"
It looks like Dan was all talk until the feet actually started collidiing with his body. Then it's a whole different story.%b%bAs Dan stands up from the ground, thanks to the last kicks force, he stands up with intent. Saikyo Intent.
Leaping high into the air, he attempts to take the fight back to Kim with a quick and awkard kick.
So....Awkward.

So awkward, but apparantly it works all the same. Somehow, Dan's freakish kick gets past Kim's defenses, despite the other man's attempt to deny them. It doesn't quite work that way, and so Kim goes plowing into the ground with something of an 'ooph!' before he leaps back onto his feet, shaking his head. What's up with him today? He saw that kick coming! But... he'll just have to deal with it as best he can -- by charging at Dan once more!
"HUUUUAAAH!!" This time, Kim intends to smack his foot directly into Dan's side as he descends, not once, but three times, intent on striking the Saikyo user into the ground!

Dan blinks as Kim continues his assault on the might of Saikyo, shaking his head ruefully, and pulling out one of his delightful 8x10 Glossies to deal with the assault. He doesn't sign it though, he puts it to different use, sliding it down to his side and wrapping it around Kim's foot while he dances away from the offending extremity.
In the struggle with the said foot, his fingers get kicked, surely but it's not quite so bad as it could be, after all. Besides which, now Kim's foot is wrapped in a weird boot made of Dan's face.
... What the--??
Kim's assault is stopped by Dan quite thoroughly strapping a glossy photo of himself /right/ on Kim's foot. Brown eyes blink once, twice, before he simply shrugs. He still managed to tag Dan, and with a grin, he tilts his head towards the other fighter. "Interesting technique!" Uh. IS it a technique...? Still! What's Kim's response?
He slams that foot right into the ground. In fact, he does it so hard that the ground around them begins to shake. Kim becomes the center of a violent shockwave intent on knocking the Master of Saikyo-ryuu right off his feet. Like, really really hard. "OOORYAAAA!!"

Dan flails his arms wildly in the air as he slides off balance and falls right on his ass, "Ah! Saikyo isn't about falling down," he cries out on his way to the ground but to no avail.%b%bFrom his position on the ground he looks up at the world with a bit of chagrin. How did he get into this position?
"BY NOT TAKING THE FIGHT SERIOUSLY!" Dan Hibiki, the master of answering his own questions, uses his position on his rear end to roll backwards away from Kim.%b%bIn the process, he throws another one of those little signs out. Don't ask how, but somehow, even tucked into a ball, Dan Hibiki managed to sign it with words of inspiration for the foot-favoring fighter. "You've got FEETS of God, Love Dan Hibiki." What a nice guy.

Making a leap when Dan falls to the ground, Kim evaluates his position. Dan is... very odd. But skilled, somehow! Proven when he produces another one of those signs and chucks it at Kim, making the master of TKD blink a little and tilt his head to the side. Hmm.
A single foot slips under a rock nearby him, on the ground. Lifting it to the air with one single jerk, Kim spins, and then KICKS the thing at Dan, sending it hurtling towards him with intent to smack right between his feet. At the same time... he grabs that autograph'd piece of paper, and looks at it.
"Aw! That was awfully nice of you, Mr. Hibiki!"

As the rock starts its initial Momentum, Dan's roll is kicked into reverse, and then he's back on his feet, and rushing towards Kim like a freight train that's been drinking coffee all day. Also, that coffee was spiked with Nodoz and Vivarin.
Leaping forward just as the rock is at the right distance, Dan snaps out a burning cyan hand and shouts, "GADOUKEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" Covering the rock in his little fireball and sending the whole package at Kim with a style like no other.
Saikyo-Ryuu, for the block. Circle gets the square.

Kim does not like this idea!
Even as the chi-covered rock goes flying towards Kim, the Korean martial artist is TOTALLY prepared. This time, though... he flicks something akin to a pebble at the rock. With extreme force. Extreme zen--no. Extreme JUSTICE. "KYA!" And that tiny rock is just enough... to bypass that wall of chi, and strike the other rock inside, sending it harmlessly plinking to the ground below as the energy fizzles out.
Yeah, well. Take that!
Dan crosses his arms as he watches what just happened, before pointing at Kim, "So. Rock beats paper. Gadouken beats Rock.... Rock beats Gadouken? You're not playing right, but I want you to know that I still respect your martial arts."
With the admonishing out of the way, Dan's back into the fray in an instant, leaping forward and sending an overhead open-palmed strike down towards the Tae Kwan Do master.

"You have a pretty unique style yourself!" He's never seen anyone use a signed picture of themselves as an attack, after all! But then, there comes Dan, swinging wildly towards Kim. The palm-strike is blocked by a single hand, absorbing much of the blow's force. Quite the hard hitter! But still--
"HUAH!!" Kim follows it up with an open-palm strike of his own aimed squarely at Dan's chest. And if it's successful, he'll twist through the air and strike Hibiki firmly in the side with a mighty kick!

As his attack is blocked, Dan listens to Kim for a second, and responds in kind, his own hand moving to get in front of the open palm he spies, "Hah, it's not just a unique style, Saikyo-Ryuu is the best style. Saikyo does what Tae Kwan Don't."
Hopping away from Kim for a split second, Dan steels himself for his next assault, jumping forward with a quick but dangerous looking fist, that just seems all and all awkward, and actually kind of useless.

As the fist connects, It is instantly retracted, and shaken wildly by Dan hibiki, who winces and rubs it furiously as if it were in severe pain. Because, well.. It is, "AH, aaahh. Ow ow ow ow ow ow ow ow ow ow ow ow ow!"
So, yeah, the fist was actually kind of useless. I mean, wow, Dan. Just wow.
Oof! Well, apparantly Kim was yet again not fast enough to get out of the way. Seems to be happening a lot this fight! He stumbles back a little, even as Dan shakes his fist and winces a little bit. Kim rubs his chest for a second, looking down... and blinking. Huh! Well! No use stopping now!!
That's why Kim charges forward again, with another open-palm strike meant to hit Dan directly in the right shoulder, to unbalance him and send him stumbling back. If successful, Kim follows it up with a quick snap-kick towards the other man's jaw. "KYAAA!!"

Dan's jaw is punished by Kim's fleet feet, and he's sent into pain heaven, still rubbing his harmed hand from its previous adventure against the body of his opponent.
As he reels he gets an idea, and uses the momentum of his spinning body to come into a tight corkscrew, his feet set firmly into the ground, and his not-so-hurt hand balling into a deadly fist.
Then all of this potential energy is released in the Saikyo signature, The Dan devestation.. THE KOURYUKEN!
The corkscrew uppercut passed down from Dan to Dan and every generation after Dan, and in no way ripped off from anyone. Seriously. It comes out, aimed at Kim, and if Dan's luck is anything to write home about, it'll go off without a hitch.

Kim is sent flying into the air by Dan's technique. For some reason, he's just not getting out of the way in time. Regardless, Dan's totally ripped off technique does go off without a hitch, striking Kim solidly. Still, Kim lands in a crouch, and then...? He goes rushing /straight/ for Dan.
"OOOORYAAAAAAA!!"
This time, Kim intends to strike the man not once, not twice, but three times with devestating roundhouse kicks, before flipping through the air and slamming an overhead axe-kick straight into the other man's shoulders without the slightest hesitation, infused with the might and will of KOREA!!

Dan Hibiki, grinning as he comes out of the uppercut, lands on his feet, and does a little shuffle with them, before he notices the shrill OOOORYAAA! Cry of Kim Kapwhan.
Turning his head to see what all the hullaballoo is, he notices just in time to bring his hands up and over his shoulders, before rolling with the momentum of the attack, minimizing the impact it has on his poor and often mistreated shoulders.
As he stands up, he gives a thumbs up, and says, "Good job, man! Good job. But, ah. Hey! How bout another one of my world famous famousness? Eh?"
Close enough to Kim, he snaps his hand back and then forward quickly, in a dumb looking move that most people would probably make fun of. Another Gadouken. Another Dollar. "GA DOU KEN!!!!!!!!" Is all Dan says.

Kim goes stumbling back, not really in pain, though his eyes are sparkling all funny-like. Shaking his head, he keeps on going though, trying to get the flashing lights out of his vision. "Good job!!" Is all he'll give, though, before he rushes towards Dan once more...
And TOTALLY leaps into the air.
"HUUUUUAAAAAAAH!!"
He unleashes another set of vicious bicycle kicks the moment he gets close to dan, the kicks numbering in the two digits before he once more pushes off, flipping through the air away from the Saikyo-ryuu master! JUSTICE!!

Dan slides out of the way of this second set of bicycular kicks, because he remembers the last time he stayed in the way of them. "Whoop! Slowpoke! Like I told you, Saikyo does what Tae Kwan Don't and now you're going to know the full fury of Saikyo Ryuu!"
Reaching into his Gi, from the right inner lining he pulls out the Sharpie marker that's synonymous with his name. Sharpie = Dan Hibiki. It's true. Look it up.
With this sharpie in his hand, he flings it forth in a quick spin, and lets it fly towards Kim as he calls out, at the top of his lungs, "UNTORTURED SOUL OF SAIKYO-RYUUUUUU! FOR YOU, FATHER!!!!!!!"
Oh yeah, as he mentions his dad? Tears. All over his face. Streaming. Flooding, even.

So many things being tossed at him! Kim is astounded by it all! But he's still moved by Dan's words, sniffling a little and wiping his eyes. "That's so beautiful! Fighting for your father! Then I'll show you the full power of Tae Kwon Do!! For GREAT JUSTICE!! HUUUUAAAAAH!!"
The sharpie goes flying, and this time... Kim kicks up a tree stump. Just unroots the whole thing, and then sends it FLYING right for the dramatic, traumatic master of Saikyo-ryuu with a mighty holler, "HYAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!" For Korea! For Justice!

Dan + Tree = "OHSHI!" Dan Hibiki calls as he sees the stump headed towards him, and breaks out the fly dance moves. And by dance moves, it's of course understood that's what's meant is screaming like a little girl who's bicycle has just been stolen. No doubt by a gang of unkempt ruffians who don't have any clue what they're doing to this great nation's economy by raising the crime level.
As the stump collides with Dan's torso, 8x10 glossies go flying, and Dan for time time being is stuck underneath a Tree-stump. Surprisingly though, it looks like he's just fine. A little dazed, but totally and fully able to keep fighting the good fight.
... Ow. Maybe he tossed that thing a bit harder than he intended. Kim winces a little as Dan is hit by the stump, rubbing the back of his head. "Uh." Well. You know. But it looks like Dan can still fight!! "Great, Mr. Hibiki!! Keep fighting!!" Feel the companionship!! The brotherly love! Even if they're not related by genes, the FUEL OF JUSTICE BURNS WITHIN THEM BOTH!!
As soon as Dan is up and ready to go go go!!, Kim is ready and on the attack, rushing forward with intent to strike the man with a sudden punch to the gut, and then a simple, high, overhead kick to the shoulders. "HYAAAAAAAAAA!!"

Now it's Dan's turn to not get out of the way fast enough. Hit in the shoulder with the overhead kick, Dan winces because of his idiocy. He actually tried to dodge towards the kick in some kind of Charli Chaplin silent movie slapstick maneuver.
He murmurs, "Well, ow. Shesooo that hurt like... Ah. Ah.."
And that's when his body twists up again. That very famous looking corkscrew from before. A last-ditch do or die corkscrew that seems to make the birds that fly overhead fall silent and take notice. Dan Hibiki. The man with the plan. Doing it his way. And his way? It's a little Violent Shining Dragon Fist uppercut that he likes to call....
"KOURYUU REKKAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!"

There Dan comes, with an attack that will surely be putting Kim in a lotta lotta pain if it hits. Brown eyes wide with shock as the deadly, devestating, down-home patented and copyrighted Kouryuu Rekkaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa comes his way, before they narrow. And then close. Time stops for a moment, Dan's movements as slow as a snail's. He knows... what he must do. Gently, he lifts forward a hand towards Dan's Violent Flaming Fist of Firey Passionate Pain Uppercut... and stops Dan dead flat, with a single palm.
Overhead, birds chirp sweetly and fly across the pristine sky. Yes.
This is right.
"Sshh." Kim Kaphwan murmurs... before lifting a single foot into the air. "HUUU..." AND SLAMS IT DOWN. "...AAAAAH!!" Soon enough, a deadly shockwave of sheer physical strength erupts all around them, intent on knocking Dan off his feet one last time.

Dan watches as Kim's foot falls towards the ground, and jumps into the air, at the last minute, the fight having taken them near more trees and such. Unfortunately, he jumps right into a beehive. His eyes darting wildly about as he sees all the insectoid creepy crawlies stop their duties immediately. "...Son of a," The muffled voice of Dan Hibiki can be heard.
Then he's running around like an idiot, screaming something about bees.%b%bHis run coincidentally takes him near Kim Kapwhan, where he attempts to Kouryuken the Hive off of him.
"ARGH! BEES!"

The bee hive might be assaulted, but Kim is too. The strike sends him FLYING through the air, painfully, faltering and rolling across the ground some distance away from Dan. Oof! Still... He flips back onto his feet. That hurt, but Kim... is NOT going to stop!!

That's when he rushes at Dan, intent to grab him by the shoulder and leg and then SHAKE him. To get the hive away, and also... to toss him through the air, and far away!!

As Kim begins shaking him and agitating the bees, Dan begins to flail his arms wildly, as more bees sting him in the face. The flailing hands knocking Kim's grip off of him, and shattering the beehive on the ground below.%b%bThe angry bees, having unloaded their stingers, in defense of the Queen, fly off to die, and Dan is there with a swollen face.
"Psycho-Reeoo Nebuh Staphs!" He calls to Kim, and jumps forward, all swollen and beestingy, with a simple jump-kick.
Dan man, Knock it off. You're a mess!

He just keeps on coming!! Kim lifts a single hand into the air as Dan flies at him once more, blocking his jump kick with both arms! And in that single moment, Kim makes a mighty leap backwards, past the trees, landing on his feet with a slight pant. This is starting to get to him, and despite himself... he unleashes everything he's got. He leaps off his feet, flying at Dan.
Upside down.
"HUUUUUUUUUUAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!!!"
With every intent of slamming both feet into the back of Hibiki's head.

As soon as Kim knocks Dan with his mighty feet, he doesn't give Hibiki the chance to fall to the ground. Instead, he starts unloading a series of jump kick after jump kick, straight vertical into the air. All are fired off with extreme speed and begin to approach the double-digits before Kim leaps one more, final time. "KYAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!" And strikes Dan SOLIDLY with an overhead axe-kick meant to send the Saikyo-ryuu master crashing to the ground!!
Surprisingly, all of that managed to kick the poisonous stingers out of his face.%b%bDan is still for a moment. A very long moment.
Then, his hand pushes against the ground and his muscles shakily push him back to his fighting stance.
"Psycho...Reeooh. Nebuh......Stops."
Using what has to be absolutely the last ounce of strength in his body, Dan corkscrews back down, ready to send another uppercut into Kim. It's not that he wants to, It's Saikyo Pride. Really....
Just stay down, Dan Hibiki. Just stay Down!
"KOURYUUU... Rek........uh!"
Dan! Don't be a hero!

Both hands jut out in a single, glorious moment. Kim blocks Dan's incredible technique, stumbling backwards. He blinks once, twice, blearily. He begins to stagger. "Hu... a..." He takes a single step forward...

Dan, beaten and broken by Kim Kapwhan, in a way that makes him question absolutely nothing about Saikyo Ryuu, and more about why the hell bees are so damned angry all the Damned time, falls forward and lands his head on a rock. Not just any rock, a luckily pillow-shaped rock. The kind of rock he can sleep on for the rest of the night. His favorite rock.
As he succumbs to the exhaustion in his body he murmurs, "I shall call you....the best rock ever. Saikyo-Style. Zzz Zzz Zzz Zzzzzzzzzzzz."
