Description: A brawl on the London Underground! Nevermind the the bollocks, here comes a dead heat! (Draw Match)
England, a land of fog, really old buildings, and notorious dentistry. And tea. Mustn't forget tea. And also a really excellent railway system, in particular the London Underground, snaking trains through British soil to get people where they need to be while only fashionably late.
And here Hinata was just thinking the subway system would get her *to* the place of her next Neo League match, not actually be it! Nice scheduling on the league's part though, having had a match on the British Isles only yesterday, they put her up in a hotel overnight to await the next round.
"Sweeeeeet," says the Taiyo girl appreciatively over something most people here take for granted. Trains in Japan, or at least the ones she's ever taken, are mostly above ground. It's a novelty that almost overpowers the smell of stale urine that all subways reek of.
She hooks her thumbs into the straps of her standard Taiyo bookbag, looking eagerly back and forth for her opponent while the Neo League crew sets up the cameras and cordons off a small section of the railway platform. Already a crowd is gathering.
It'd be more interesting if the fight was actually ON the subway, not just the platform...but that probably wouldn't have been quite as safe. THe Neo League probably doesn't want to be liable for that kind of damage. In any case, as the platform is cordoned off (especially the side near the trains...don't want fighters getting thrown onto the rails, ya know), HInata's opponent steps in, straightening his jacket as he takes his place on the opposite side of the fighting area. Quickly tucking away his shades, D! gives a quick look over at Hinata, trying to get a grasp of her ability.
"Well...let's see what you got then," he says, slowly settling down into a stance. He's a bit ginger, some noticable marks left on his body (or what's not covered by the jacket), courtesy of Vice...but he's still not backing down from a league fight.

Hinata has to look up into D's face. Really way, way up. She manages to suppress the initial uncomfortable swallow, but just being in D's shadow is intimidating enough. She's just a little ol' 5'1" Japanese schoolgirl after all. For that matter, how much trouble could she be to put down? "Mr. D, I'm guessing."
Carefully brushing off her Taiyo uniform skirt, Hinata raises her fists and tries to look menacing while bouncing back and forth on the balls of her feet. Grrrr. Okay, she fails at that, but it's the thought that counts. "I won't go easy on you." Big words from a little girl. "So give me your best!"
Satisfied that everything is in order, the judge signals for the fight to start in that particular announcer-y voice. "Fight!" Like a sprinter taking off at the sound of a gunshot, Hinata rushes D, intent on starting strong and staying that way! Closing the distance with a few fast forward hops, the girl's left arm jabs out two quick strikes to test the big man's defenses, then leans in for a heavy right cross. The punch flares with a little bubble of energy. She can't help it, she's just got a lot of spirit!

HeavyD simply nods as Hinata recgonizes, or at least identifies him. He doesn't do much else, however, still settled in his stance. Even as HInata dashes, the boxer stays put, until the punches lash out. The jabs are easily taken, D!'s forearms absorbing the blows. The cross is taken just as easily, though the sting of chi makes it hurt a little more than the jabs did. "Nnn...." Taking a step back, the boxer gets his feet back under him again before he moves into action. His response is much like HInata's first barrage...the only differences? THe lack of chi, a right cross...and a little more muscle behind the jabs.

Strong punches, huh? Hinata was wondering what sort of style this big guy might have. She's never met the big guy before, so can only guess as of yet. Though she'll have to watch his hands, that much is certain. She raises an arm to take the first jab against her forearm, staggering backwards under the force of it. She hasn't got a lot of mass to absorb stuff like this, so the second is more precisely blocked by turning it aside before it can make contact. Still.. it stings.
"Hoowah!" she pipes, flicking her right leg up for a strong kick to D!'s chin, or his chest if that's as high as she can reach. Short schoolgirl skirts? Yeah, bad idea for high kicks. But try telling that to Hinata.

The big kick hits home, driving right into D!'s chest toe first. Though it seems it's more from lack of trying than anything, as it comes slow enough that D! would've easily gotten a guard on it. So why didn't he stop it? Well, maybe because he used the time to step in, trying to aim hard cross punch right at HInata while she's got one leg caught up in the air. SUre, it'll hurt a bit for D!...but it might hurt worse for Hinata if she can't pull some gymnatstics to avoid that heavy fist coming her way.

Allowing a moment of pride at her kick, Hinata almost misses the incoming fierce right cross that would surely cause her lots of pain.
Gymnastics? If only D! knew that Hinata consistently gets a 10 in P.E. from Hayato-sensei! Not that he asked, but there you have it. "Whoa!" She kicks off again from D!'s chest, using his mass like a springboard to push herself quickly backwards, the punch whizzing by her face far too close for comfort. Landing back a step and a half, she shuffles her feet in place and grins. "Nice! See if you like this one!" Hinata tenses and drops into a half-crouch, balling her right fist and visualizing the move a second before she does it. "Orrrrrya!" A leaping uppercut, spinning like a top and blazing with a spiral trail of bright orange energy. A true Ansatsuken-ripoff-inspired rising dragon punch!

The rising punch is taken much like Hinata's earlier jab rush was, absorbed by D!'s meaty forearms. Still, D!'s getting pushed back, if only for his inability to actually tag HInata so far. He remains quiet, letting HInata do all the chatter during the fight. He's focusing on simply doing what he does best: punch his opponent out. And as Hinata drops from her spinning attack, he waits...until she's just about to land. THen, with a swift snap of his right arm, he tries to grab her by her collar, hoping to keep her feet just off the ground. IF he's successful...well, lets just say Hinata might want to think twice about having her usual sweets for a while after this fight, unless she wants to risk her stomach being unable to handle them after the battering they'd take.

"Hwerk!" That's about as eloquent as Hinata gets before things start getting even worse than a big dude siezing you by the throat. The first punch slams into her gut powerfully, driving the wind from her lungs. Then the second comes in just after the first is done to continue the job, and by the time the third punch arrives, Hinata's stomach has decided it's had more than enough introductions for the day and gives up entirely. After that it gets a bit blurry.
Somehow, she finds herself back on the ground on her knees, coughing into the floor and holding her midsection with both hands. Oh... so not cool. She'd never wondered what the floor of a subway platform station tasted like, and she's sorry to find out.
C'mon, Wakaba.. think of a strategy here! There's got to be something she can do to make a big difference against Heavy D. He's got strength.. stamina.. muscle mass... but has he got Taiyo spirit? Don't think so! Tasting something unpleasantly like lunch in the back of her throat, Hinata sucks a breath through clenched teeth and pushes herself back to her feet. Find an opening, and go for it! The hard part will be lasting long enough to find that opening..

HeavyD steps back after relinquishing HInata, letting her get the chance to get her breath back. However, once it's apparent that she's not coming after him, he too takes the time to get his senses. While he knows he's got a strength advantage, she's definitely got some better speed. He's going to need to figure out a way to either minimize that advantage...or put it to good use. SO...he holds back too, giving Hinata a chance to make the first move instead.

So if the Sunshine Girl doesn't feel too comfortable about getting in close to D!'s admittedly devasating punches? Then she just plain won't! Still feeling a little sick from the punching bag routine, she steps back and sets her feet to brace herself, drawing her palms together.
"Haaaaaaaaa!" Light twinkles to life between them, bright yellow like a sunny day. If there's something England could use more if, it's a little sunshine now and then! Thrusting both hands toward D, palms out, Hinata brings the little pinprick of light to a boil and makes it grow into a large yellow sphere with gently twisting petals. Like a big damned sunflower of pure energy. "Ataaaaa!" Lunging forward, she pushes the ball toward the big man and lets it fly. Sunflower incoming!

D! may not be a ranged fighter in any sort of sense...but he has his methods of avoiding being overwhelmed by those who take to the ranged method of fighting to negate his close-ranged advantage. Even as the Underground train rushes by them, D! is in wait, his eyes vocused on the blast of energy Hinata pushes his way. Eyes narrowed both from the rush of stale subway air and in focus on the projectile, the boxer quickly snaps up his right hand in an uppercut. The resulting blast of energy scatters and explodes up and away from D!, spreading on the platform and rising just high enough to catch Hinata's Kikou Shoutei. The clashing energies collide and fade against each other, leaving the two of them left at square one...
"Well... crap!" Hinata stamps a foot angrily. That didn't work at all! Who knew he could pull something like that out of his hat? Alright, enough of this! Setting her jaw firmly, Hinata makes with the fighting. Grinding a sneaker against the train platform, she charges recklessly ahead and puts her weight behind a rushing elbow tackle to D!'s stomach. It's not well-calculated, but the momentum behind her run lends a lot of strength where precision is lacking.

The tackle is met head on, with a much more calculated, and perhaps more powerful rush straight into Hinata. With his left arm drawn back, D! drives point-blank into HInata's path, lunging with his right arm, the whole limb surrounded by a soul of chi as he surges forward. While the elbow hits into D!"s stomach, the blow is glancing enough that D! simply keeps charging forward, arm outstretched as he barrels right into HInata's smaller form.
Introduce a charging freight train (Heavy D!) to a small and light obstance (Hinata Wakaba), and you pretty much have a good idea of what happens next. "FUH!" The Taiyo girl is thrown tumbling backwards several yards to rest at the base of one of those nice decorative cement pillars that all subway platforms have. She's really had quite enough of this 'having the stuffing beat out of her' stuff, y'know!
Sitting up slowly, she shakes her head to clear it. "Alright! That's it!" Hands slap dust and other subway filth off her formerly clean Taiyo uniform, and Hinata looks a little miffed. She kneels, an odd move, putting her hands on the platform and cocking her hips into the air. "Ready! Set! Goooooo!" Then she's off in a full sprint straight towards the ol' Heavy D himself. It takes a lot to knock Hinata Wakaba down for the count! As soon as she's in range, her left arm stabs out quickly in a flurry of jabs so fast that even she loses count, drawing back her right fist like she did before. Except instead of a right cross, she's suddenly lifted airborne by a spiraling uppercut, lands, and does another one immediately following!

This time, the charging jabs catch D!. As a result, he's quickly battered about, head tossed back until the flurry ends. Then...the uppercuts. Lifted up, D! gets driven away, smashed away by the massive barrage. Landing a good few feet away, he groans, slowly pulling himself back up to his feet. Groaning, he ends up rolling onto his knees, too spent to stand up straight. Giving Hinata a glance through barely open eyes, he backs up a little more, apparently looking for a breather.

Breather? If this were a more friendly fight, Hinata might be inclined to let it slide. But firstly this is the Neo League and she's taking it very seriously. Secondly, she's on a roll, yo!
Almost as soon as her sneakers hit the ground from a flying uppercut, she presses bravely onward to close the distance with D. "Hut!" announces her leap airborne again, though there's no obvious attack pending from the jump. But that can be deceptive. As tall as D is, Hinata can jump for all she's worth! Aiming to plant her hands straight on his shoulders and vault over him, she'll aim a powerful kick to the back of his head to launch herself clear of the toughened boxer's 'danger zone'.

Ok, maybe a breather WASN'T the best of ideas. As it is, D! ends up taking the powerful leap kick right int he back of his head, forcing him to sprawl out on the ground again, clutching his skull. "NGHhh...." Obviously, even despite the breather, he's starting to get worn down. Especially after two powerful attacks in a row like that. Slowly, he gets up again, this time fully onto his feet. While he's shaky, he manages to lock down his stance again. "Looks like I've been underestimating you," he says with a grit of his teeth. "Still..." Then, with a charge, he drives right toward Hinata, his right arm cocked back. As soon as he's within range, he twists his body, his fist smashing downward onto HInata's shoulder with all the power he can muster into the blow. Hopefully, this can turn the tide back in his favor...

"Underestimated? Yeah, I get that a lot." Hinata, still with her back to D! from the leap frog attack, turns with a smile on her face and her fists raised to just beneath her chin.
POW! Just as D! is charging in, Hinata springs forward at an angle, right fist outstretched. Who ever said rising dragon punches had to go straight up and down, huh? It's a Wakaba special Shouyouken! Angled at 45 degrees to propel herself forward, her fist smashes into Heavy D!'s chin with a crack and sends both fighters parting ways.
"OW!" the girl wails, shaking her fist out. "Jeez! You got a steel jaw or somethin'! I think I broke my hand!"
Ok....this is bad. VERY bad. HInata's quickly turned the tables on D! in a major way. Even as quick and as supercharged as his coming Rock Crush was, he ends up eating a mighty uppercut for his trouble, sending him flying away into the barricade, almost sliding under dangerously near the edge. It's a good thing the train has already passed by. Still, D!'s reeling, and he's fighting against the massive amount of momentum Hinata's building up. Time to pull out the ace again. Slowly pulling himself up to his feet, the boxer charges all of his remaning chi into his fist, teeth gritted in pain as he straightens up. No more talk...no more compliments or what not. Time for straight action. PUlling his fist back, the boxer glares and narrows his eyes, trying to get a good bead on Hinata. Finally, with a stamp of his left foot, a twist of his whole body, and a full extension of his right arm, the chi explodes out, driving toward HInata like an extension of his arm. Beware, the magnum cometh...

Umm... oops. Seems Hinata has awakened something fierce and terrible within Heavy D!, something which would like to see her beaten and broken and has no reservations about doing it personally, repeatedly, and possibly in slow motion. "SNAP!" The Wakaba girl jumps. She's good at it. Far better than anyone would expect a five-foot-nothing Japanese schoolgirl to be, but that's just the way she is.
When D! charges, Hinata's just not there to be charged. She's about 7 feet in the air, arcing gracefully straight over his head and letting the bulldozer punch have fun destroying the place where she used to be. Landing lightly like a dancer, she has no witty one-liners to throw, because obviously it's *on* and time for talking is over.
She lunges for D!'s back to grab him around the waist, even if her arms can't make it the full way around. Just like she's seen on TV, she'll wrench, lean backwards, and full suplex the back of the boxer's head into the unforgiving cement.

Alas...D! attempts to charge in and counter Hinata's grasp with the same attack he stopped her elbow charge with. However, perhaps it's the fatigue left over from that blown attempt at finishign her off with his Magnum. Either way, he ends up grabbed right in mid punch, and simply suplexed over HInata's head. Despite the size and weight difference, the boxer goes flying, dropped down hard onto the unforgiving rubber-coated concrete of the platform, D! arching up in pain as his back smashes into the ground.
Hinata's starting to show a lot of wear and tear as well, panting heavily just from the exertion of lifting D! off the ground. He's Heavy, alright! Both fighters are wearing themselves down to the bone just to keep going now, but neither willing to give up. It's just the way of things.
Huffing with her hands hanging limply at her side, Hinata manages through sheer force of will to make herself keep going. It ain't over yet! A hop backwards puts some space between them while the Sunshine Girl whips her right leg around for a sturdy side-kick, but since she's so far away, it hits nothing and spins her around in a neat little pirouette. How odd. It all becomes clear when she slaps the knee of her right leg with an open palm and jars the motion of her leg to a stop and a large white tennis shoe rockets off her foot. "Wakaba original, Renkyakudan!" Shoe-jectile ahoy!

Thankfully, D! avoids the embarassment of being knocked out by Hinata's shoe. As it flies toward him, the boxer sluggishly leans away, narrowly avoiding the shot. "Nghh...." Not wanting to give Hinata a chance to toss off another one, he charges forward, quickly swinging off in hopes of catching her with a sharp shot onto her cheek.

"Shoooou-" BAM! Hinata can't even manage to pull off one of her favorite moves. Her limbs are too heavy, movements too sluggish to muster the strength and the speed necessary. Before her uppercut can connect, Heavy D!'s simple punch (Remember that, Wakaba! Simplicity) catches her roughly across the cheek and sends her tumbling backwards and to the side, too stunned to even make a witty rejoinder.
Ooh.. why does it have to turn out like this? A nice clean fight degnerating into a knockdown slugfest to see who'll get tired and fall over first? She draws herself up, cheek already starting to swell and turn a violent purple. "... Had enough yet?"
HeavyD huffs and sucks in several deep breaths, looking just as ragged as Hinata is. Maybe a little moreso. Still, from the look in his eyes, he's hardly about to give up just yet. Again, avoiding any of his more complex manuevers, the boxer swings at Hinata, simply going for a nice, deep hook punch right into her side. Maybe it's because he's just tired, or maybe he just doesn't have enough strength left to put behind it, but it comes in sluggishly, hopefully not enough to make it any less effective.

Tired she may be, but she's not exactly slow on the uptake here. Hinata leans backwards as far as she can to let the hook do its thing in front of her face, hoping she hadn't misjudged the distance. SWISH! Nope, just right! Maybe even a little close for comfort, but hey, it worked?
Remember: simplicity. The simplest solutions are often the best. Snapping back from her dodge, Hinata leans in low and throws an open palm strike to D!'s solar plexus. If she were less exhausted, it'd be a better strike, but she's throwing everything she has now.

You've got to be ware of simplicity, however...as it can bite you in the butt. Like for example, when Hinata tries to snap out a sharp palm right toward D!. As hard as it is for D! get a handle on it, he doesn't even try. Instead, he barrels right into it, taking the shot to his chest, and exchanging it for a sharp jab of his own, right toward Hinata's other cheek. Hopefully, this spells the end of the fight here...because D! can't take much more...
"Hunhh!" Hinata staggers under the sudden counter blow to her own admittedly weak strike. Uh-oh.. She can't quite catch a lungful of air anymore, things seems to be slowing down a lot more than they ought to. She falls to one knee and looks about to go out...
Except Taiyo taught her better than that. Never give up! She isn't entirely sure she's going to pass out, at least, before Heavy D! does. But she'll be damned if she just curls up and lays down just because it would be easier that way. Grunting with effort, the Sunshine Girl forces herself back to her feet. It's pretty amazing she can still stand, let alone raise her fists to keep fighting like she is.
"ORRRRRRRRYA!" A sudden battle cry welling up within her, channeling the last of her energy. Chi flares around her fists, striking wildly with a left hook and a strong right haymaker, as powerful an underarm punch as she can manage, fully intent on driving it into D!'s stomach and possibly knocking him back a few feet before her strength finally fades.

Her strength... fails to hold. Hinata having delivered her final attack, slumps foward, face down on the awful, nasty subway floor and just doesn't get back up.
For Hinata's efforts, though, she is rewarded. As tired as D! is, he can't muster up a proper defense, and ends up caught by the wild punches. The energy welled up within each shot finally does send D! back, crashing into the barricades near the sides. At least Hinata's drop to unconsciousness is a gentle one (even if the path to it was painful). D!'s not so lucky, as he ends up nearly bent over the barricade as he finally ends up KOed.
