Neo League 101 - #110: Shingo vs Vice

Description: Vice challenges Shingo to battle out inside an old European castle! Things get broken. Things that aren't Shingo. (Winner: Shingo)

Lights... Camera... Action!
The scene opens on a large room, made of heavy stone blocks, a heavy candelabra provides the lighting for the room, and the light glints off the various suits of armor that stand around, looking oh-so impressive, however, the main area has been cleared away, and leaning up against one of the pillars is the current focus of the camera- a very bored looking Vice.
Oh yes, for the challenge has been issued! And here in these opulent, and coincidentally very, very sturdy, surroundings, the battle will commence! Vice needed a few more points before she could be even with her partner in this fighting league, and it is her intention that she is at -least- Mature's equal, if not better!
And so she had challenged Shingo, a fighter she knew pretty darn well... all she needed was to beat him, and then she would be one step closer to proving that she is better than Mature... if she finished worse than her, why, she'd never get -any- peace!

Indeed the challenge has been issued. Quite an unlikely one to from Shingo's perspective. he would've never expected anytime soon that the Scary Devil Lady more commonly known as Vice would be the one to challenge him to a Neo League fight today. He didn't even think that this would be the sort of thing that interested her. But apparently it is. He assumes this without really knowing that she's participating because it's something her boss wanted. No matter her reason though, he has accepted and here they are in the United Kingdom in a grand old castle about to do battle for the entertainment of others.

It goes without saying that officials litter all about the place and there are camera men ready to move at a moment's notice. Which is very good considering that in a heated match, lots of things tend to go flying all over the place. Wouldn't want one of these fine A/V specialists to get injured. They're not exactly as tough as today's fighters are.

Though he didn't expect his opponent to be Vice, he readily accepts it. A quick check of the league rankings before stepping 'into the ring' revealed to him that should he win this then it would place him that much closer to being in first place again. Specifically, second place. Which isn't too bad. He rubs the bridge of his nose and grins brightly at the combat secretary, "Hello, Miss Vice! Good luck!" He says this and brings his fists up in a ready position as he prepares himself for the match to begin. Just waiting on the word from whoever is announcing or refereeing this fight.

Vice smiles slightly, detaching from her leaning spot, she saunters over towards Shingo. Waving vaguely to the cameramen and various other officials... bah, better to just treat them like they weren't there... that was her decision, if they got in the way and wind up getting themselves killed, well, that is their problem. Not hers, she was here for one reason and one reason only... to win.
"Good luck to you too, Japanese Boy, but be warned... I won't be going easy on you this time around." She states, quite clearly as she settles into her usual, flowing stance... she seems to pause for a moment, as though considering something...
And then she lashes into action, darting forwards to attempt to deliver one quick, painful blow to Shingo's face, opening the fight as she intended to finish it, with a quick, brutal blow that would hopefully send Shingo staggering back dazed... hopefully.

Vice lunges in and is indeed quick with the movements. Just not quick enough to catch Shingo off-guard with her punch to his face. How rude, by the way. He can appreciate her desire to end this fight as soon as possibly, but aiming for the face? Well, he can't really blame her. Not that he would do the same to her. Mostly because he's a nice guy and wouldn't intentionally strike a female in her face. Which someday may just be his downfall. Hopefully, that day isn't today. At least it doesn't look like it by the way he ducks low and uses his left forearm to block the punch from the Orochi woman.

"I won't have it any other way, Miss Vice!" Shingo replies to her statement about not taking it easy on him. He says this as her punch is stopped by his forearm and he uses his ducking to move in under the arm and swing an uppercut straight to her midsection. Right below the solar plexus. "Teya!" The schoolboy rising up to his full height as he drives his fist up to catch Vice in the gut. This blow being strong enough to even send Miss Vice stumbling away from him.

COMBATSYS: Shingo successfully hits Vice with Fierce Punch.

Vice tries to bring her arms around to deflect the main force of the blow, but she is just too slow, and instead she grunts as she is sent staggering back by the force of the blow, yowch... that really -hurt-, maybe it had just been a long time since she fought Shingo, but she didn't -remember- him hitting that hard in the past!
With a roar she lunges forwards, only to leap into the air at the last moment, swinging her foot around, if it should connect, she will use it as an opening for a blindingly fast series of powerful kicks aiming for Shingo's chest and upper body, determined to make him feel at least some of her pain... that blow had really taken her by surprise! There would be no mercy now... this was one opponent she had to hit hard and very, very fast.

"Hiji Otoshi!"

If she felt that uppercut was a surprise then what would she consider Shingo holding his ground when she jumps in at him with her repeating kicks only to forcefully ground her with a last minute sidestepping downward elbow strike? An ambush? Now take note that doing something like that was harder than it looked. It involved Shingo going around to the the side of Vice's back and then dropping his elbow onto the upper thigh of her kicking leg. In mid kick. In fact. He has no idea how he even managed to accomplish such a feat. So much so that don't ask him to do it again. He will fail miserably. But Shingo will take what he can get and takes a step back to give Vice the room she needs to get back up.

Vice pulls herself to her feet, that had... that had surprised her, that had -annoyed- her. She had been made to look... to look slow!
Worse than that, she had lost her rhythm, now she had to get it back, somehow. She takes a deep breath, and then looks up at Shingo, clenching her fists and remaining as calm as she possibly can.
"Heh... looks like you won that little exchange, Japanese Boy, come on though, this isn't over yet... your move. Come on, hit me, I gotta say, at least you are putting up more of a fight than that silly girlfriend of yours. Pfah. I was doing the fighting world a -service- when I put her down."
Did she actually kill Sakura? No! Don't be silly! But she -did- throw her over the bridge... and if she could get Shingo mad, maybe he'd make a mistake... leave her an opening...

COMBATSYS: Vice takes a breather.

Shingo was grinning right up until the point that Vice mentioned Sakura. This doesn't mean that he's -angry- or anything. It just means that he's just getting a tad bit more serious. Then the woman goes on to say that how she put her down. Upsetting? Possibly. But nothing he already doesn't know about. After all it was part of the League and past matches do have a tendency of being available for viewing. Still, it's not something he's going to take laying down. Or standing up.

No words for a response, Shingo chooses to let his fists do the talking. This would be the perfect opportunity to let loose with a Shingo Kick right to Vice's head. But, he'll save that for later. Instead she gets something more hands on. It looks like he's about to step forward but nope. After getting a bit closer to Vice, just outside of sweeping range, the schoolboy quickly reverse pivots on his left leg to swing back around with a massive left hook punch aimed right at the woman's upper body. He's still refusing to hit her in the face. How...noble-like. "TAKE THIS!" Shingo's foot movements ensuring that he's now close enough to hit Vice and hard.

Vice grunts as she is again sent staggering back under the force of a powerful blow, and then another...ouch.
With a roar of rage Vice lunges forwards, arms seeking to grab hold of the boy by the waist, if she should succeed she shall haul him over one shoulder, and then charge, full pelt, at the wall, intending to slam his skull into the wall with all her might, its a simple, brutal maneuver, but the way things are going Vice is starting to lose any desire to be even slightly subtle, she is going to -win- this match, it -has- to happen, no question, and if she has to risk actually killing Shingo... well... that is a price she'll have to pay.
The gloves are off.

COMBATSYS: Shingo blocks Vice's Black End.

Vice             1/-------/=======|===----\-------\0           Shingo

Now who is the one letting her emotions get the better of her? It seems that Vice's plan of causing Shingo to get upset enough to make a mistake has backfired on her. He'll make a mental note of that: Vice doesn't react well to being hit really hard after she makes a snide remark. Or it could just be that she doesn't react well to being hit really hard period. He'll have to actually test this theory to be sure. In the meantime Shingo struggles in the Scary Devil Lady's grasp to somehow avoid having his skull smashed in. That's definitely something his mom would frown upon if she found out. And he's more afraid of his mom than he is of Vice any day. Therefore the only solution he sees since that there is no escaping, is to make it harder for Vice to slam him by...tickling her. Yes. He tickles her enough that, either because she's ticklish or just in shock, her grip loosens enough for him to adjust his body so that only his back hits the wall and not his head. Which still hurts, by the way. But it could be worse.

Sliding down the wall and onto the ground, he takes a deep gasp of breath to refill his lungs and promptly rolls out from between the rock and the hard place. To come up behind Vice and throw off a side thrust kick to her lower back region to return the favour. That is, slam the secretary into the wall. "Teya!"

COMBATSYS: Vice blocks Shingo's Light Kick.

Vice             1/------=/=======|====---\-------\0           Shingo

Vice brings her arm up to slap aside the blow, and then she is charging in, full tilt, arms reaching out to grab Shingo, hopefully by the neck, if she can manage that, she'll haul him into the air, and then swing him around and pitch him at the same spot on the wall... she is going to break this wall down using Shingo, yes, that is her plan, that'll work perfectly!
However, Shingo is right, Vice doesn't respond well to being hit really hard after making a snide remark, she doesn't get to make them very often, and when she does she likes to think that they have an effect on her opponent... when all that happens is that she gets hit, hard, that just makes her angrier... and Vice is pretty angry already, so making her -more- angry really isn't the best of ideas.

COMBATSYS: Shingo endures Vice's Mithan's Robe!

Finally a successful blow for Vice where she manages to get a clean hit on Shingo. Or does she?! If she were in her right frame of mind she'd notice that getting a hold of the Taiyo student was a bit easier than it should've been. Perhaps too easy. It's like he wanted to be grabbed and thrown into a wall head first. But that would be dumb and Shingo would never do something like that, right? Right?

Unfortunately, he did indeed allow himself to be grabbed by the Scary Devil Lady. And also allowed himself to be hurled into the wall. Again. Hurting a bit more as the area from the back of his head to his upper-back hits it first before the rest of his body follows. Shingo letting out a loud grunt of pain and wincing. Despite all this he gathers himself enough to not stay down like at all and instantly springs back at Vice ducking low and then lunging upwards with a hard shoulder tackle to her chest lifting her into the air and following up with a spinning backhand that he uses to balance himself out to land in a safe crouch, "ORIYAAAAAA!"

COMBATSYS: Shingo successfully hits Vice with Oniyaki Mikansei.

Vice doesn't notice that Shingo is a little too easy to catch, she doesn't rally care, all she cares about is -killing- this annoying little kid -right- -now-
Unfortunately, it looks like Shingo has other ideas, because as Vice charges forwards, it becomes obvious she doesn't have time to even start trying to get out the way... no, instead she decides to deal with this just like she would deal with any other attack she can't hope to block...
She tries to roll with it...
Unfortunately again, the blow manages to strike her right in the stomach, and for a moment the wind is knocked out of her, and she actually manages to slam into the ceiling before the second part of Shingo's attack hits her, and she bounces off the floor. Groaning in pain.
But she isn't out! Nonono, not yet!
With a bloodthirsty scream of sheer anger she charges from the floor, aiming to grab Shingo by the ankles and then...

COMBATSYS: Shingo counters Negative Gain from Vice with Tsuki Hiji.

Vice             0/-------/--=====|=======\==-----\1           Shingo

Vice intended to grab Shingo by the ankles and haul him round, as she jumps into the air she intended to swing him and slam him into the wall, before grabbing him by the neck and slamming him into the ground, twice, before finally pitching him at the closest suit of armor with as much force as she can muster.

Those really aren't the best of intentions for Vice to have towards Shingo and he knows it. He's been grabbed by that one particular move of hers enough times that he can picture in his head what it would be like if he were actually caught this time. Good thing for him that he doesn't get snagged! Slamming into the wall was enough for him. Shingo's pretty certain that multiplying the number of times he hits things in the immediate area by four is something he'd rather not experience. So what does this promising student of Kusanagi-ryuu kobojutsu do in this situation?

Quite simply, he first drives his elbow as hard as he can into Vice's trapezius when she lunges for his ankles. And before she can hit the ground from the second elbow strike she's been hit with for the match, he immediately raises a leg to catch her right in the centre of her chest with his knee and fires off a speedy snapkick that digs into her stomach to send her flying away from him. "GECCHU!" Everything taking less than a second. Even Shingo falling back and over with a look of wide-surprise on his face. D'oh.

Vice takes a good... long... moment to get up after that attack, and when she does, she is swaying noticeably. She... she was -really- hurting after that attack, really hurting... that wasn't supposed to happen! That isn't how this works!
Anything that Vice says is pretty unintelligible as she charges forwards again, this is probably quite lucky for those younger viewers, or would be, if it wasn't for the fact that instead she just -screams- as she charges, a very, very, very loud scream, one which shakes dust from the ceiling as she charges, one which speaks of such unimaginable FURY at being beaten like this, by a... an -amateur- who has the nerve to look -surprised- that it alone would probably scare the average person senseless... and certainly, the staff look... surprised, to say the least.
She isn't down yet though, and as she lunges forwards again, she is determined to inflict at least one good blow before she goes down for the count, intending to simply grab Shingo and -slam- him into the floor with as much force as she can muster... as she attempts this, the one intelligible word that can be made out forces itself from her lips.
"DIE!"

COMBATSYS: Shingo fails to counter Strong Throw from Vice with Tsuki Hiji.

Vice             0/-------/-======|=======\======-\1           Shingo

Ho ho ho ho. It happened. Shingo knew it was coming. It always does. Sooner or later. And it couldn't have come at a better time. Just as he was about to emerge victorious. Though it is his own fault too. He wanted to play cool by standing up in the face of a roaring and screaming Vice stampeding towards him at full speed. And this is what he gets for doing such a stupid thing. He should've just done what instinct told him and got out of the way. But noooo. He wanted to give her another taste of his Moon Elbow and pays for it dearly. Though, it would've helped had he full gotten back up onto his feet before making any attempt and hitting Vice through her charge. Because getting repeatedly slammed into the ground, causing the whole room to shake and even a helmet off a suit of armour to fall off, is not fun. Not fun at all. After all that, a dazed Shingo remains. Still breathing and able to fight too. As soon as the stars stop circling his head.

Vice doesn't let up, not for a single second, no, she is hurting now, and she knows that one good hit, and its all over for her, and she just will -not- lose this match... no, she won't, she just won't do it. Not possible, nuh-uh.
Still screaming like a woman possessed, Vice rockets forwards again, this time she reaches out to grab him by the arm, if she should manage that, she will swing him around before -hurling- him at the suit of armor which is already partially broken... she isn't really thinking too clearly, but she bets that hitting something with all those sharp edges and metal bits is going to hurt more than hitting the wall, that is the hope anyway.

COMBATSYS: Shingo dodges Vice's Strong Throw.

Not to worry! Shingo definitely learned his lesson. When Vice is intent on punishing you with the most pain and pummeling she can manage then the best choice of action is to...GET OUT OF THE WAY. No, seriously. There's no way he's going to risk another elbow drop against this crazy lady. That and he's beginning to really feel weary from how long this fight has dragged out. He should stop and catch his breath. Indicated by how much he's panting. Except, that wouldn't be terribly smart at the moment. Or smarter than rolling under Vice's outstretched arms and past to end up behind her.

Uh-oh.

Without a moment's hesitation Shingo initiates his own short distance charge to the back of the Scary Devil Lady. It's one mean and powerful shoulder check that requires him to use not only his shoulder but the entire area from shoulder to elbow. Right into the small of her back. The goal here is to send Vice in the same motion she's facing right into the suit of armour she wanted to throw Shingo into. "Let's go! SHINGOOOOOOOOOOOO!"

Vice snarls as Shingo round on her, and is already spinning as Shingo is charging at her. With a roar of rage she is slammed in the gut... but she only skids back about two inches before she has grabbed Shingo around the waist and hefted him into the air. "JUST! DIE!" She screams, slamming him right -through- that suit of armor, the metal crunching under the force of the impact... when she steps back, however, it is swaying and breathing heavily... she sinks to one knee, and hisses, holding her side, she then, very slowly, falls over. Down and out.

At the precise moment that Vice collapses to the stone floor unconscious, the pieces of metal that were once a proud suit of armour begin to stir. It's unnoticeable at first since the announcer is about to call this a draw match. But even before the the official can utter 'Draw', Shingo rises triumphantly battered and bruised from the fragments. Cuts and scratches all over his arms and face. "I STILL FUNCTION!" Then he shoots a fist into the air for victory.

COMBATSYS: Shingo takes no action.
