Neo League 076 - #100: Kim vs Guy

Description: Kim faces his greatest opponent yet -- Bizarro Kim! An intense clash of frowning vs grinning! Who shall be the victor?! Will Guy steal Kim's pride and his mother?! FIND OUT!! (Winner: Guy)

The great capitol of the great United States of America, Washington DC, has been a site of tourism for years upon years now. This place has always been busy -- and always WILL be busy. Which is why this place was a perfect area to hold a League Fight! A historical treasure, with plenty of people to watch, who WOULDN'T love it? That's why there is a rather large amount of people gathered at the Lincoln Memorial today. Herding them off to offer a wide range of area for the fight is security, even as cameramen travel across the natural boundaries created by the spectators. And who will be fighting today?
"OOORRRAAAA!!"
The answer comes from above! As Kim Kaphwan, Korea's hero and well-known Defender of Justice, comes flying down from the top of the Lincoln Memorial in a flying jump kick! It lands him, one footed, on the steps of the memorial, even as he flashes a wide and glinting grin to the crowds -- complete with a THUMBS UP. And, hopefully his opponent is here by now, because those brown eyes will be searching him out before giving a solid nod of his head. "Let's do our best!!"

[OOC] Guy says, "Showoff."

[OOC] Kim cues the pyrotechnics and fog machine.

In direct contrast to Kim jumping around like some kind of...of...KOREAN, the all-American, totally awesome Bushin-ryu ninja Guy just sort of stands there, at the base of the steps. Looking up at Kim impassively, arms folded, the man's frown is impressive. Still, in response to Kim, he nods, and then answers, "Very well."

[OOC] Kim says, "Anti-showoff."

[OOC] Guy cues the anti-pyrotechnics and anti-fog machine.

Grin... grin... uh. Well, Guy doesn't look very enthusiastic, does he? That's alright, though! Kim still gives the other man a smile and a nod of his head, even as his feet spread out and he dips into a more combat-ready pose. The all KOREAN, totally awesome Tae Kwon Do master Kim will tense his legs, briefly, before offering, "When you're ready!" And then, after making sure Guy is prepared, he'll start off the fight. One leap; no running or any of the sort involved, just a single leap that takes Kim at Guy, his legs kicking out repeatedly in a series of fast-firing bicycle kicks aimed at his face and shoulders. "HUAH!!"

[OOC] Guy says, "I just realized, Kim. I'm your evil twin from another dimension."

[OOC] Kim says, "You are. You're... Bizzaro Kim."

[OOC] Guy says, "You're so incredibly good, however, that instead of being evil I'm good! Just pissed off about it!"

[OOC] Kim says, "You fight evil with a FROWN."

[OOC] Kim imagines... the frownping.

Again, almost as if he is the Korean's bizarro twin, Guy's reaction is pretty much directly opposite to the Korean's. Standing still in the exact same pose, frowning as hard as he can, the ninja waits for Mr. Tae Kwon Do to get close, and then leaps straight upward into the air. It's a hefty jump, leaving Guy in midair by the time Kim lands. Coming down, Guy chooses to hold off on his attack, landing first. At that point, he makes sure he's facing Kim, raises his arm, and swings the back of his fist right at the Korean's face.

COMBATSYS: Guy successfully hits Kim with Medium Punch.
- Power hit! -

Kim              0/-------/---====|-------\-------\0              Guy

And as opposed to Mr. Friendly Justice, Guy manages to land his hit, and land it hardcore, at that! The fist smacks right into the Korean's face, too fast for the other man to put up an effective guard before it sends him flying solidly through the air. Eyes snap wide at the assault, a grunt of pain given, but that's about it before Kim recovers in mid-air, landing on a crouch several steps up. "Nice hit!!" And it was, too. Ouch. Holy crap. Still, Kim isn't too terribly daunted. Instead, he rushes forward again, looking to strike Guy with an open-palm hit in the face, before following it up almost immediately with a leaping kick to his ribs. "Hyaa!"

COMBATSYS: Kim successfully hits Guy with Strong Punch.

Kim              0/-------/---====|===----\-------\0              Guy

That palm strike is almost laughably slow, and Guy ducks directly underneath it - right into the path of Kim's foot, which then impacts solidly into his face as opposed to his ribs. A classic tale of dodging gone wrong.
The impact knocks Guy onto his back, sending him sliding back a foot or two on the pavement. He answers all of Kim's chatter with a simple grunt, and then gets back up onto his feet. Running back toward the Korean, Guy jumps up and spins, foot extended, to kick Kim really hard - maybe even multiple times. "Hyaaaaaaah!"

COMBATSYS: Kim blocks Guy's Bushin Senpuu Kyaku.

Kim              0/-------/-======|====---\-------\0              Guy

That kick does hit really hard -- against Kim's BLOCKING ARMS, that is! Which absorb the brunt of that really really hard kick that maybe hits more than one time, before Kim pushes Guy right off him like some guy who pushes things really well. And then -- it's his turn!
His attack is relatively simple. As he pushes Guy's feet off him, he also leaps up, straight verticle, to give a sudden snap of his leg upwards -- to knock Guy right in the jaw. "ORA!!" Sudden TDK keeku!

COMBATSYS: Guy blocks Kim's Light Kick.

Kim              0/-------/-======|=====--\-------\0              Guy

Landing easily from his multiple kicks of blocked PAIN and DOOM, Guy has only moments to bring one arm in front of him, which he uses to absorb the brunt of Kim's kick, even going so far as to push a bit in reponse, to put the man off-balance.
With another shout, "Hyah!" Guy takes a step forward and then tries to headbutt Kim right in the FACE. Or chest, or whatever, really. Guy's not feeling terribly picky at the moment.

COMBATSYS: Guy successfully hits Kim with Fierce Punch.

Kim              1/-----==/=======|======-\-------\0              Guy

Put off balance Kim is, and quite off balance that may be! Enough so, that Guy is able to headbutt him without much problem -- in the chest, of course, because Kim's beautiful justice-face jerks up right at the opportune moment. Still, it sends him on a collision course to the ground -- thankfully enough, he has an arm there to catch himself before he falls very harshly to the ground.
Still, Kim is relatively swift to respond to the harsh headbutt straight to his face, with a mighty backwards-leaping kick, with both legs, aimed at Guy's upper-torso. The flip keeps Kim in the air, even after the assault, to carry him away -- except he doesn't land in splits this time around, because on steps that would be painful. Instead, he lands on one leg, in a relatively combat-ready pose. Hya!!

COMBATSYS: Guy dodges Kim's Hangetsu Zan.

Kim              1/-----==/=======|======-\-------\0              Guy

Quickly flowing into a more ready position after his headbutt, Guy watches Kim intently. When the kick comes, Guy takes a single step back. The kick whizzes by his face, the wind from its swift passing blowing the ninja's hair about a bit. Of course, that still leaves Kim all...over there. Well, that's easily solved.
Slipping a hand into his vest, Guy produces several small shuriken - all of which go flying with good speed directly at Kim. Well, he is a ninja, after all.

COMBATSYS: Kim blocks Guy's Thrown Object.

Kim              1/-----==/=======|=======\-------\0              Guy

Shuriken--?! Well crap, there's a lot of them, aren't there? Not much for Kim to do, except block them all, with several swift motions of his hands, knocking them to the side rather harmlessly. Nothing exploitable terrain-wise HERE, but despite the sudden surprising strike, Kim isn't going to stop quite yet. Nope... he keeps rushing onwards.
"HUAAAH!!"
With a jumping kick, aimed to strike Guy squarely in the chest!!

COMBATSYS: Guy interrupts Heavy Kick from Kim with Houzantou.

Kim              1/-======/=======|=======\=------\1              Guy

There's a lot of them, and the shuriken make a fine screen, besides. That's their real purpose, more than anything else - making sure that Guy has time to prepare and act. And oh, he does act.
As Kim comes jumping in with his kick, Guy meets it head on by ducking, spinning, and then rising upward with a shoulder tackle. The kick lands on top of him, but Guy continues, smoothly transferring his momentum into a backhand that impacts somewhere along Kim's lower torso. Taking a step back afterward, Guy folds his arms and waits.

Well--ooph. He should have seen that coming, really. But Kim's not one to stop because shuriken are coming at him. He is one to stop though, when he's been struck by a rather heavy backhand. Which hurts. So he goes flying, up and away from Guy, before he ultimately lands on his feet some distance away...
And then collapses onto one knee. Ow. His visions a little blurry, and he takes a moment to give a deep breath before he stands back on his feet once more -- of course, giving Guy ample opportunity to act yet again.

COMBATSYS: Kim takes a breather.

[             \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\  < >  ///////////////////           ]
Kim              1/--=====/=======|=======\=------\1              Guy

Make no mistake, Guy isn't one of those wishy-washy fighters who will just let you take a break in the middle of a fight. In fact, just the opposite - he likes to keep the pressure on. When Kim doesn't immediately come back at him, Guy immediately goes at Kim, rushing toward Korean as fast as he can. And then the ninja punches, leading into a vicious series of kicks that end with Guy backflipping away - except it's not the end. Guy leaps forward, whizzing along almost parallel to the ground, foot outstretched, to give Kim one last, awesome, flying kick. Then he's done.

COMBATSYS: Guy successfully hits Kim with Bushin Gourai Kyaku.

Kim              2/<<<<<<</<<<<<<<|=------\-------\0              Guy

[OOC] Kim says, "Haha. This'll be fantastic."

Well, ow. Kim's resting afforded Guy more than enough time to get off that maneuver he wanted, and all the punches and kicks end up BRUTALIZING Kim in a way that says 'ouch that hurts an awful lot'. He goes flying after the last kick, and lands on the ground in a tumble. But is Kim done? IS HE DONE, PEOPLE?! Hell no! Justice doesn't just sit down after it's been hit that hard! It hits hard right back! Sometimes harshly! Which is why, when Guy's finish, Kim scrambles to his feet...
And jumps again, to deliver yet another, but much more brutal, jump-kick to the other man's chest, complete with a mighty, mighty roar to accompany it. "OOOOOOOOOOORRRRRRRRYAAAAAAAAAA!!"

COMBATSYS: Kim successfully hits Guy with Hou'ou Kyaku EX.

Kim              0/-------/--=====|=====--\-------\0              Guy

And what follows is a blinding series of lightning fast kicks that strike Guy's upper body viciously, all becoming uncountable after a while, blurring together like some sort of mishmash of pain. Kick after kick after kick in mid-air, like how Guy had done to him, sort of -- save that in the aftermath, his final kick is a vicious backwards snap kick, that sends him flipping through the air and collapsing to the ground, crawling up to his hands and knees while panting. Ow. Well. At least he hit Guy!

Expecting this to be Kim's last hurrah, Guy makes no move to get out of the way of the kick. He stands his ground as only someone who is batshit insane/totally awesome can. However, the ninja has underestimated this kick, which catches him and opens him up for all of those other kicks that, simply put, kick his ass.
Afterward, Guy goes down - however, he's far from out. The ninja fights for justice in his own way, and justice does not quit! Although he's certainly hurt, Guy struggles up to his feet momentarily, frowning at Kim. The man's certainly given him trouble so far, but this is the end - Guy plans to finish things proper. Summoning up his strength to dash toward Kim, Guy essentially smacks Kim upside the head with a simple punch - nothing much, but it's quick, and it should be enough to put Kim down.

COMBATSYS: Kim fails to interrupt Jab Punch from Guy with Hien Zan.

COMBATSYS: Kim can no longer fight.

Welll, Kim is essentially down for the count. Enough so that when Guy moves to smack him upside the head, Kim moves to attempt to get off his own attack, but quite frankly -- Guy's punch moves exceedingly fast. So it knocks Kim. It doesn't really hurt like, at all, but it's more than enough on top of the other injuries to send him to the ground again. Not enough, however, to keep him from giving Guy a wide grin, and stick his hand out...
IN THE THUMBS UP.
"Good fight!!"
Ow.

Guy does not grin back. He does not give a thumbs-up in return. He does, however, answer very simply. "Yes." And then he just walks off, leaving his opponent there. He's done what he came to do, and now he has other things to attend to.
