Neo League 076 - #89: Mimiru vs Shingo

Description: A quick Neo League fight in the courtyard at Taiyo High. (Winner: Shingo)

Taiyo High! Much excitement as another league fight is about to unfold right in the middle of the schoolyard! Of course, the officials of the league are around and making sure everything's set to capture the fight on screen and to make sure everything goes by the rule. Considering the fight opposes two students from Taiyo, there's a little crowd of students that are around. It's always fun to see those kind of fights going on, and most of the time, they don't generally last overtly long... And since it's free, well they might as well enjoy the sight!

In one corner, Team Mimiru's there! With Mimiru and her team mate, her fiathful canine, Max. She ruffles the dog's hair and Mimiru beams, "Alright! After all the bad luck we've had, Max, this means we can only win that's for sure. It's a given." Mimiru says to her teammate with a few nods of her head. The dog whines a little and Mimiru just gives him one of those looks, "Come on now! I don't want any of that pessimisms here!" She exclaims.

After having most of his previous league matches held in various locales around the world Shingo feels good to find himself back home for this particular fight. What better place for a fight between two of the more well-known members of the student body than at their own school? The feeling he gets from being in front of all his friends and fellow schoolmates is one of the best feelings in the world for the boy and win or lose he knows that they always got his back.

Second time he's facing off against the youngest of the Kasagi siblings. Although the first match they had was a friendly unofficial one in where Shingo kind of made it a little bit one-sided. But from what he's heard of Mimiru's improved skills, he's certain she'll give him a run for his money. "All right, Mimiru! I'm ready whenever you are!" He calls out to the girl as he gets ready for the fight.

COMBATSYS: Shingo has started a fight here.

Not that it matters in the end. IT's always like that, the great fighters fight the little ones and beat them up for the fun and excitement of the crowd. That's how it works in that kind of business. And every now and then to tease them, you give them a few ultimate battles! But for the time being? It does indeed seem a little bit one sided.

"Alright then!" Mimiru says with a few nods of her head, setting herself in her combat posture, "If you're ready for it, I'm coming!" She says. And so, the girl quickly dashes over to Shingo, her hands clenching into fists as she lets out a little shout through her charge, "Super Mimiru Punch!!" The girl shouts as her fist glows brightly, engulfed by white chi and she swings it at Shingo.

COMBATSYS: Mimiru has joined the fight here.

Is that a new technique she's got there? It looks like it since he doesn't remember her using it before in their last fight. Then there's the possibility that she could have just held back but that seems highly doubtful to him. Shingo lets a out a little grunt as he stops the Super Mimiru Punch by catching her hand with his left hand. The excess energy splashes but it doesn't look like it seriously affects him by the way he uses the positioning of them both to go into his own attack.

A grin is given to the girl and Shingo, with his hand still holding onto Mimiru's, places his other onto her opposite shoulder. Only then to use his sheer strength and size plus some momentum from pivoting backward on one leg to lift Mimiru up and literally toss her across the distance of the 'arena', "Teya!" It is then after thrwoing her he asks, "Super Mimiru Punch? Is that something new?" He is curious about it.

COMBATSYS: Mimiru blocks Shingo's Medium Throw.

Well there last fight lasted about thirty seconds or so, so it's not really quite a good way to evaluate Mimiru's technique from such a short fight. Mimiru growls a bit as Shingo intercepts her punch and her lips curl into a faint smirk, "Cocky, aren't we?" She chuckles and she shakes her head a bit, "It's been a while! This is one of the mighty techniques of the Chou-Mimiru-Do!" The girl exclaims.

Mimiru doesn't fight against Shingo's grasp. In fact she lets him throw her off, opting for a swift landing, using her techniques to soften the fall by rolling with it. The girl rolls along and she quickly gets back to a knelt position. She glances up to Shingo and she grins, "Maybe I'll show you some more, who knows!" Mimiru says before she dashes off over Shingo and attempts to get a hold of Shingo. And if she does, she'll just throw herself backward to make Shingo fall with her, except that she'll catch him with her feet and then shove him off over her head and away, weee.

COMBATSYS: Shingo counters Quick Throw from Mimiru with Tsuki Hiji.

"Hiji Otoshi!"

A powerful elbow comes crashing down on Mimiru's trapezius just as she gets a grip on Shingo's clothing. The strike would normally be followed by a swift thrust kick to her midsection but she's just so much shorter than he is that any kick he would throw out would just catch her in the face instead. And he wouldn't want that. So he settles for just slamming her to the ground. Cockiness has nothing to do with it.

He hops a short distance back and hehs, "Chou Mimiru-do? You created your own fighting style? Wow, that's pretty awesome! So you don't do judo anymore?"

Ouf.

Mimiru winces at the elbow drop right beside her shoulder. She grunts a bit and she barely has the time to recover that she gets slammed down and shoved off. Mimiru shakes her head a little and she tries to shrug off the pain for the time being, getting back to her feet, "That's right..." The girl says.

She lifts one hand up to her shoulders and she rubs a little where Shingo has hit. Looks like today's not her lucky day! The girl frowns and she rushes over Shingo, "Well there, here's some more... Super Mimiru Kick!!" Mimiru shouts as she turns around on herself and attempts to deliver a powerful kick to Shingo's midsection.

COMBATSYS: Shingo dodges Mimiru's Heavy Kick.

Shingo thinks he'll pass on that helping of Super Mimiru Kick. It doesn't sound very wholesome or packed of ten essential vitamins. The boy hops back as though he were doing his best to evade in a game of dodgeball and Mimiru's kick just narrowly misses hitting him solidly in the gut. That would've probably hurt. "Whew! Too close!"

Then he rushes forward the short distance between them by ducking in low. When he gets in past Mimiru's guard or at least thinks he does, he jumps up high with spinning elbow tackle to her sternum to lift her into the air, "Oriyaaaaaa!" His arms extended outward and bent upward at the elbow to balance himself in landing safely to watch where Mimiru lands should she have gotten hit.

COMBATSYS: Mimiru fails to counter Oniyaki Mikansei from Shingo with Ippon Seoi Nage.

Almost. Almost, though almost isn't good enough. Giving this hit all of her strength, Mimiru staggers about a little and she growls shaking her head a little as she attempts to regain her balance after she hit nothing but the air. Unfortunately, that leaves her guard perfectly open and allow Shingo to seize the opportunity to strike her rather easily.

Mimiru doesn't have the time to know what's going out that she gets SHingo's elbow right in her sternum and that causes Mimiru to scream a bit, both of surprise and pain. She coughs a little and bites her lips, lifted up the ground by the shock of the blow and the girl just fails to fall back on her feet it would seem, rolling down on her butt with a loud thud, right on the ice. Mimiru growls and she shakes her head a little, slowly but surely trying to get back to her feet after that, a little dazed.

Shingo winces when he realises that he hit Mimiru a bit harder than expected. Oh what a big man he must feel like by beating up on a little girl half his size. There are no doubt some members in the crowd that don't know either fighter very well and mumbling about how Shingo is a big bully or something. Good he's not. Really. If he were a bully would he be rushing in now to take advantage of her disorientation? Of course not. That's not a sign of a bully, that's the sign of a offensive fighter.

Now don't get him wrong. He could, in theory, end this fight right now with just a few simple and quick hits from his punches but figures that would be too easy. And not flashy enough. So what better way to end a fight than with his most well known technique? "SHINGO KIIIIIIIICKU!" Shingo launches at Mimiru flying through the air after executing a high jump and bringing his heavy leg down on her trapezius. Even if it was the same side he hit earlier with his elbow drop.

COMBATSYS: Shingo successfully hits Mimiru with Shingo Kick.

Still being dazed from her fall, Mimiru tries to regain her sense when she gets back on her feet. Alas, she doesn't quite have the time to react to Shingo's attack. It's all fair play in those kind of games though, after all, taking advantage of such things.

And smack! Right on her trapezius. Mixed with Mimiru's dazed state, that hits actually knock her down and she just falls right there, collapsing on the ground and losing consciousness. Looks like she's not going to get back up and the fight's over. Didn't last long, but that's part of entertainment after all. The best fighters need to kick the weakers ones about every now and then to give the fans what they want. Some butt whooping action.

COMBATSYS: Mimiru takes no action.

It's the sort of thing that happens in the fighting circuit after all. Can't always face off against those at the same skill level as one's self. It's just not possible to improve as a street-fighter and keep fighting those equal as yourself. Only real way to get better is to fight lots of other people, including those that could conceivably turn you into paste. It's something that Shingo believes in. Even if it is just for the entertainment of the audience. Still, there's nothing that makes feel super excited about kicking around someone like Mimiru. He feels his leg almost crush her small body and watches as she drops to the ground. Obviously he has won. A thumbs-up is given to her unconscious body as the medics come over to tend to her and Shingo says, "Thanks for the match, Mimiru. Rest well."
