Description: A short and harsh battle in Chinatown! Boxing versus Psycho Powered kung fu results in a quick, but close finish... (Winner: Heavy D!)
Chinatown...fight here once, and you're in the mood to fight again an hour after you're done!...ok, not really, but it has been a painfully popular fighting place for a while. And today is no exception, as a Chinatown street ends up blocked off in order to set up for a fight in the Neo League! One of those combatants in the fight happens to be the one and only Heavy D!, fresh off his squeaked-out victory against one of the Sons of Kim. He looks a little worse for the wear, still showing some bruises and his jacket showing a couple tears and frays. However, from the look of him, he's still game for the fight, the boxer peering past his shades to look across the street at his opponent.
Well, with a number of Southtown's fighters residing in Chinatown, it's bound to have a certain amount of popularity for that purpose, isn't it? Case in point: Sie Kensou. The young Psycho Soldier is one of Chinatown's own - after a fashion, anyway, since he's actually from the mainland. But you know, close enough, right? The Chinese fighter hops over one of the barricades, since he was actually sort of, well... /Late/. "Sorry, sorry," Kensou says as he gasps for breath, having run the whole way here. "There was a... Thing, and I had t'..." Oh, but it's not like the League officials really /care/. Catching his breath, the teen straightens up, looking over towards Heavy D!. "Heheh... Ready when you are!" Kensou calls, tugging his gloves a bit tighter.
Well, it's about time. D! was tired at staring at empty space. He was beginning to think his opponent was invisble! In any case, the boxer quickly ditches his sunglasses, setting them aside past the barricade and straightening out his jacket. "You're here, right? So let's do this." Slipping his feet apart a bit, he checks his handwraps, making sure their nice and tight, before he settles into a boxer's guard. "Alright then. Let's do this," he says quickly , his face slowly disappearing behind his tightened fists.

Well, around here, you never know. Somebody /could/ disappear on you. Ninja magic, or something. While D! is checking his wraps and what-all, Kensou drops into his usual fighting stance, sidelong with his left hand leading, and once it seems like the boxer is ready... Kensou launches himself at Heavy D! like a shot, trying to close the distance between the two of them in a quick dash; when he gets close enough, the psychic leaps forward, almost completely horizontal, extending his left knee and elbow, trying to slip both past the man's guard. "Yo-!" if they strike, or are even blocked, he'll twist his waist, trying for a second strike with his other knee. "Yaa-!" And /then/, he keeps right on twisting, trying to swing his now-extended left heel at the side of D!'s head. "Hyaaa-!"

The series of spinning strikes fails to get past D!'s guard, each and every attack absorbed by his meaty forearms, the boxer leaning back and away from each attack to minimize the damage. "Mgnnnn..." Still, with his tight guard, he can't exactly break free and make for a counter attack himself. It's not until that spinning left heel drives at his head that D! finds his opening. Lifting his right arm up, he snaps it in the path of Kensou's spinning kick, stopping it just before it collides with his head. Not wasting time, D! instantly steps forward, trying to snap out a sharp straight blow right toward the Psycho Soldier's chest.

Jeez, this guy's helluva tough! Kensou tries to use his agility to get, you know, /the heck out of the way/ of D!'s attack, but... Not so much. Instead, he ends up taking the hit even worse, smashing onto the pavement right in front of the boxer. "Haagh!" Yeah, that hurt a fair bit! But not so much that the Chinese fighter doesn't have any options, even from his prone position, as he hooks his legs around one of the boxer's ankles and tries to upend the big palooka onto the street. "Hup-!"

The quick trip does indeed take D! off his feet, the hook of his ankles bringing him down onto his back with a big grunt. "RRRRPH!" And it seems that D!'s stunned for the moment, rolling about painedly on the street. At least...until he disappears. Where did he go exactly? Well, a couple of afterimages fade into existance until D! himself finally appears, crouching with brow furrowed right at Kensou's side. With a start, the boxer snaps out a quick set of hooks, quickly curving his way around to the front as he works around the boy's body until he finally finishes with a sweeping blow aimed at the back of his knee. Fair play, eh?

Oh, /crap/. Kensou's eyes widen as D! freakin' disappears, barely having any time to try and get to his feet when the boxer comes in with his combination, let alone mount a defense. The first few strikes land, but once D! gets in front of the Psycho Soldier, the boy's right hand snaps out, just tapping lightly against the boxer's chest, palm open... And then releasing a blast of Psycho Power, a flash of blue-tinged white energy like getting hit in the chest at point blank range with a shotgun. Enough force, definitely, to break D!'s combination and hurl the boxer away, while Kensou himself staggers back from the force of the attack, slipping back into his stance...
Well, that plain sucked. Blasted out with a massive burst of energy, D! flies back, nearly colliding with the barricade on the far side of the street. "NGAAHHHH!!" Sliding back on the street, the boxer finds it a little more difficult to get up this time around. Hissing in pain as he finally gets to a knee, he clutches at his chest, ignoring the burning on his back from his skid across the asphalt. He doesn't straighten up completely yet, no. He simply hangs back. It's obvious he's going to need to take a lot more into account if he wants to win this thing.

Amusingly, Kensou is thinking along sort of the same lines; D!'s hits /hurt/, and the Psycho Soldier knows better than to just try and outright go toe to toe with the bigger, physically stronger fighter. Or, well, he sort of knows better. A little. The point is, he plans to be prepared. With the boxer hanging back, the kung fu fighter changes his stance slightly, letting out a slow breath as an otherwise unfelt breeze rustles his hair and fighting outfit. Moments later, tiny motes of bluish light start to appear in the air around Kensou, like little fireflies, whirling all around him as he bolsters his Psycho Power, drawing on his reserves of energy...!

Seeing as Kensou has to take the time to charge up while D! recovers, the metro native spots his chance to make a nice big mark. Pushing his hand off the street, he charges after Kensou, boots clapping against the cold concrete as he barrels after his opponent. Reeling his right arm back, he winds up, and drives into a massive set of body blows, D! showing some footwork as he darts from side to side in order to work on each side of Kensou's ribs before finishing off with a massive straight punch aimed straight for Kensou's face.

Hoooooly craaaaaaaaap. Kensou tries to get his arms in the way of D!'s assault, but... Not so much. Instead, he gets very thoroughly pummelled by the various punches, the last straight knocking him back, right into one of the barricades. Ow man. Just... Ow. "Kuh... Geez, you hit like a /truck/!" the youth calls out to D!, which is complimentary, honest! "I'm gonna havta pull out all the stops!!" He reaches behind his back, then, and produces... A piping hot meat bun! Oh crap! What comes next is obvious... Kensou begins to eat the bun, trying to chow down before D! decides to punch his face in again.
...a meat bun?!
Well, D!'s not going to fault the boy for being hungry...but honestly, save it for after a fight! Or do it before hand! In any case, D! isn't exactly fond of having the boy take the time for a snack break. He wants to keep pressing his attack. He doesn't aim to punch Kensou in the face, of course. No, that'd just be cruel. No, he simply tries to hook a nice hard shot right into the boy's gut. That's even CRUELER, considering.

Mmm, delicious! Kensou seems... Revitalised. Empowered, even! That was certainly a tasty treat that can't be beat. At least, until he gets punched right in the gut by Heavy D!, despite an attempt to do /something/. What he was doing? Not entirely clear! "Hkkkgh!!" You dick. Kensou staggers back, coughing, up against the barricade again. This? Not a good sign.
Yeah, so D!'s a dick. He wants to win, and it's Kensou's own fault for eating in the middle of the fight. In any case, D! presses his advantage right now. While he's been relying on the heavy hits it seems, he decides to go for more 'quick and stinging' while Kensou's got his back against it. Extending his left hand out, he snaps out several jabs, trying to pepper across Kensou's guard, looking for holes, as well as simply trying to build up damage on the boy.

Nah, eating in the middle of a fight is /strategy/! And it would've been a lot cooler, but his attempt to be awesome got STUFF'D. STUFF'D!! However, it certainly seems like D! is on a roll tonight, because his 'several jabs' hurt like te bajeezus, despite Kensou's attempts to get the heck out of the way. He's in kind of a bad way, here, it seems, despite that one really powerful showing. "Hey... Back up a little!!" the youth says, thrusting one hand forward again, trying to snake it past D!'s guard, and if he gets close enough...!

...Oh yeah, that's the ticket. For a brief moment, Kensou's boyish brown eyes gleam with a blue light, and his hair and clothes stir again... And then Heavy D! is engulfed in a hellish white light. The sphere of Psycho Power assaults the boxer from every direction, a sustained attack that only lasts for a few moments, but might seem a /lot/ longer inside. Finally, the chaotic blast of psychic force /bursts/, a last shockwave sending poor D! flying away, and Kensou back into the barricade /again/. This time he has the room to stagger away from it, at least. "Ugh..."
Oh yeah, that hurt...caught in the sphere of Psycho Power, D! ends up blasted off once again, much like his previous attack stopping his Ducking Combination. Skidding back as soon as the sphere bursts, the boxer groans, finding it hard to get to his feet at this point. "Nghh..." However, he still gets up, intent on finishing the match. "It's...not over..." he calls painedly, finally getting up to his feet with his right arm from fist to elbow glowing white. Looks like it's time for THAT move. Not even bothering get close, D! twists and snaps out that fist violently, all that energy stored into his fist as he pulled himself up from the street bursting out straight toward Kensou's direction, aiming to give the boy a little taste of his own medicine, with D!'s own twist on it.

That doesn't look good. Kensou's definitely worn out after taking some pretty tough hits from the boxer, and he's not really looking forward to, you know... Getting punched in the head with a bunch of chi. So he /tries/ to mitigate the damage, his attempts at outright evasion having not worked very well thus far; he /tries/. It doesn't much work, though, and instead Kensou gets good and blasted, but in his wake a last, blue-tinged white sphere of Psycho Power hurtles towards D!, Hopefully while he's still recovering from that powerful technique...!

Despite having expended most of what he was capable of in that last ditch attack, D! still has some energly left in him. Which is why when he gets that sphere of psychic energy sent his way, he's ready. Uppercutting into the air, with a shout of "BLAST UPPER!", the boxer ends up bursting through the Choukyuu Dan, destroying it before it could hit home on himself. Close call, no?
Close call indeed! Kensou, who landed in kind of a heap, lets out a huff of air at that. "Heh, nice one," the Chinese fighter says, but he's not getting back up right now. In fact, the sidewalk is feeling mighty comfortable, right about now. This being the case, the League official is able to declare that the winner of this match is, indeed, Heavy D!
HeavyD pauses, frozen with fist upraised, still trying to make sure that he's won or not. Finally, the official makes it...well, official, allowing the boxer the chance to slump down and relax against the barricade nearby. "Damn," he mutters, hissing in a fwe breathes as he clutches at his chest. "You got some power there..."
