Description: Except for Kelvin. Xiangfei's quest to try and impress Chin leads to throwing herself into a free-for-all battle with Kensou and Kelvin! .. Will she fall prey to the most Devastating Light Kick in the Business (tm)???
The clearing, like the shrine, is a good place for training. But this time there was a specific kind of training that Chin had in mind, which was pitting Kensou and Kelvin together in a friendly sparring match, mostly so that Kelvin could see Kensou in action, as the old master's adopted son HAD gotten stronger in recent times. A sort of 'learn by example', if you would. With enough training, Kelvin, too, could reach such a level... though the sleepy-eyed boy had a ways to go, it was true. So there the three were, a few lanterns set up in a ring around the clearing's edge in order to provide lighting enough to see in the dark, so the two could see each other well enough. The catch to this was, however, that Chin wasn't about to let Kelvin face Kensou, who had a now obvious advantage over the fellow nap enthusiast. Which is why the old man was clinging to Kensou's back. And was quite drunk, as well, clutching one of his ever-present clay gourds in a hand and taking long pulls from it every so often. "No, no!" Chin was shouting at present, "Kensou, your footing's all wrong! The grass isn't -that- wet!" What was he shouting about? Well, who knows. The old man was *really* drunk.
As for Kelvin..while he was in no hurry to taste the fury of the Supreme Xtreme again anytime, it seems that Chin has decided that this was a good time for another go. Yet, there's something different this time..and it feels like there's some surprise in store. It's this subtle pang of anticipation that keeps the youth from just slumping back on the grass wholesale, and taking a break; instead, he's sitting on a rock, legs huddled up in front of him, and his arms crossed over his chest, in his best imitation of a ponderous 'meditative' posture. It's his own variant of the same warmups that Chin is currently running Kensou through, and while he can hear the criticisms, they just sort of filter through his barely-conscious mind like the autumn breeze. Speaking of which, one of the very last dead leaves to fall from its mother branch just happens to spiral down to land on Kelvin's head. Perhaps..it is an omen!?
God dammit! Why does Kensou get stuck with a handicap like this, having an old drunk yelling at him from his back? It makes the whole process of 'warming up' a trial in and of itself, and instead of any sort of practised smoothness, all of his movements are incredibly self-conscious and obviously off-balance. To the point that he actually /does/ slip on the grass, almost falling back to crush old Chin, but managing to, in his attempts to regain his balance, end up falling flat on his face with a loud squawk. Yes, again. "I don' think this is gonna work, sifu..." he says, voice muffled by a facefull of browned grass.
It was a lot of difficult work.. Well no, actually it wasn't so much hard work as it was a pain in the but keeping track of where Kensou was going- It wasn't long ago where the very thought of being in the same spot as the meatbun eating psycho boy made her nautious, but now that they were getting along a little better, (and not to mention her undying goal of actually meeting Chin coming to life), it was worth seeking him out now and then to be amused by his training. None of her senseis were that cool.
The environment was just a little different this time though, Xiangfei was most certainly not expecting Kelvin to be in the little group, and she doesn't even have any idea why he would be- This presents itself as an opportunity to slip into the mix!
Xiangfei, dressed in a red chinese blouse and matching silk pants, her frazzled hair split into two pigtails, her presense is made clear with the jangling of bells from her pant loop, "Hey, heeey!!" the chinese girl cries, waving her hands frantically, and screeching to a halt when she catches up with the trio, proceeds to bow franticly, "Chin-sensei, sir! Please! I want to train with you all too! Please, let me have a chance to show you how skilled I am with kung-fu!" Bow. Bow. Bow. Bow.
*krik*
"...... Oh wow, this really hurts.." she then mumbles, suddenly frozen in her bowed position.
And then, Chin was on his stomach. Odd thing, that, apparently, as Chin seemingly had no concept between the time of 'being upright' and 'being prone', though it was an odd thing that Kensou had fallen forward. Had it been Kensou's desire NOT to crush his old master, or was it that Chin was perhaps a bit more aware than he let on? Who knows! Still, Chin looks dumbfounded for a moment, and as he sits up on Kensou's back, folding his legs on top of the young man, gazing around curiously... yeah, he seems pretty sloshed, still. All the more so when all of a sudden a chinese girl - whom he vaguely remembered seeing before - was suddenly occupying his field of vision, babbling on about something or other, bowing lots... and then apparently hurting herself. A few blinks are given, before Chin suddenly erupts in laughter, and slaps at his knee. And misses, instead slapping Kensou on the back. "Ha ha ha ha! Oh my, you're funny. Train you shay, hm? Think you can keep up with these two boys? Well well! Shhhow me, then, show me." He slowly moves back to cling again to Kensou's back to make it easier for him to sit up, urging him on by yelling, "Get up, Kensou! You have another challenger! You three should fight, it will be good for you!"
Rather than actually turning his head to observe the newcomer, or even becoming fully conscious, there's a few moments where Kelvin seems to remain off in his own little world -- wherever he happens to drift off to when he's in his 'zone.' After those have passed, though, his eyes open slightly, and he finally takes a deeper breath, before sliding calmly off of his rock to land on his feet. Giving a stretch, he gives a satisfied yawn, and then beams a subdued but warm smile, "Miss Xiangfei? I'm not sure if I've ever had the chance to spar with her, before..though I have bought her dinner a few times." Not in a date manner, of course..but she said she was hungry at the time, and he usually has money to spare, so..! "It's good to see you're doing we--" His voice falters for a moment, and he peers a bit more intently, "..what happened to your nice hair?" Normally, he'd be a bit more conservative with his observations, but..maybe she was attacked by an angry beautician.

"Ugh," mutters Kensou from the ground, slowly getting back up to a crouch, and then onto his feet. OH CRAP IT'S XIANGFEI. "Don't think there's much you could learn from Chin-sifu, Xiangfei," he says a bit irritably... Though this could have as much to do with the drunken old man on his back who's giving him so much grief as it does with his various and sundry problems with the former waitress. "So, you think the three of us oughta fight, huh?" Kensou muses, rubbing his chin. "I guess I'm up for it, yeah. Whaddya think, Kelvin? Xiangfei?" At least he isn't calling her 'Forehead Girl' anymore. Well, not currently, anyway. Depends on how she acts from now on! Of course, he'll need Chin to STOP HANGING ONTO HIS BACK, if he's going to fight the likes of the Heavenly Hip-Hop Honey.
Xiangfei smirks, though in her current position that can't be seen. So the girl drops to her knees so she can see things in an upright position- Ah yes, that's much better.
The cheerful waitress grins to Kelvin, giving him a little salute, "I haven't seen you in a while! You're looking healthy!" she pipes, though she goes silent a moment when Chin bursts into laughter.
Which she really can only assume is a good thing, especially with the words that follow that make her eyes light up and her hands ball into fists, "Yes! Yes sir, I will show you my true power!" she cries delightedly, leaping to her feet with her fists raised in the air, "YAH-" *krik* "....Nnnnnghhhaaaalllbbppppttth.." Xiangfeis eyes cross for a moment in quite some pain, and she favors her back, "Ok, well that worked... Anyway, I changed my hair for my fight in the Medals finals," she explains to Kelvin, and her cheeks redden a bit, "D.. Did you uh, like it the way it was before? And Kensou, ha ha, I study drunken chiense boxing as well, but my style is self-taught, I was too young to learn from my former sensei. And Mister Chin.. Mister Chin is just SO COOL!" she cries, shaking her fist, "If you ask me, there's no question, we definatly must fight, it's a good opportunity for me! But uh.. Is that a new style you're learning or what, Kensou? ... You look goofy."

For his part, Chin doesn't seem inclined to actually, uh, let go of Kensou. He seems fairly comfortable where he is. Cackling cheerfully, he again pats Kensou's shoulder - this time purposefully, so it's lighter - and then says, with exuberance: "She called me 'cool', Kensou! Did you hear?! You three need to fight, now, yes, yessh! I would see how much you've improved, Kensou, and perhaps teach a thing or two to Kelvin, and also see how thish new girls fights! You all sheem to know e'ch other, sho it shhhould work out!" He pauses briefly here to take a gulp from his gourd again, and then spurs Kensou on by literally digging his heels into the young boy's sides. "Fight, fight!"

Geez, is this actually a training battle, or just a drunken old man's entertainment? Kelvin..doesn't really question it much, since trying to read Chin's motivations is an exercise in futility. That's probably how he intends it. "It was cute how it was," obviously meant to answer Xiangfei's line of questioning, "And..well, I suppose, Chin," the young man allows, taking a deep breath and giving a final stretch of his back and arms, trying to make sure everything's set right. Emitting a soft 'nh' of moderate approval, once he figures he's as good as he's going to be, he steps on up into the rest of the clearing..and then, apparently intent on following the original plan for the moment, he shifts forward on one foot, and is suddenly lunging in a punch towards Kensou -- his drawn-back arm coming forward with all the weight and momentum the boy can throw into it. Well..while he might not have gotten stronger, he's definitely getting a bit more self-starting. Xiangfei is left alone, for the moment; while he doesn't say so openly, especially while in a combat zone, he does have his reservations there. Perhaps seeing her in action will sway him quickly! He even volunteers a bit of incentive, though it sounds odd in his soft, half-monotone focused voice; "Loser has to buy Chin's liquor for a week." Ah, he'll be Chin's favorite student in no time!

"D-dammit, sifu, I can't fight with you on my back!" Kensou exclaims, even though the old man seems quite inclined to keep hanging there and all, what with the digging in his heels and all. And then there's Kelvin lunging at him with that fist, which Kensou ducks back out of the way of just barely, being missed by barest inches. "Hope you don't regret that bet, Kelvin!" the older young man says, before grabbing at Kelvin's hopefully extended wrist and trying to simply hip-toss the sleepy fighter onto the grassy ground!
Xiangfei smiles a little sheepishly to Kelvins 'compliment', and gives a small nod of her head.. Alma liked her bells as well, maybe she shouldn't fix what isn't broke! Mind you if she has to wear a hat or something, she'd have to make slightly more drastic hair changes. The chinese fighter doesn't leap immedietly into the fray however, though she isn't making any effort to hide her presence either, in fact, she may be arguable making herself a target as she makes an attempt to impress the old lush. She slaps her hands togeather, murmuring lightly as one hand tightens to a fist, other hand keeping her pointer and middle fingers raised. "Ha!" a golden pillar of chi suddenly proceeds to blaze and twirl around the small fighters form, upwind tossing up her braids. Boom shaka laka!

At this point, the blue-haired boy is already focused on Kensou.. There might be a notion in the back of his head that Xiangfei is back there doing something, but for the moment he's got other things to worry about. His opening wild punch, for example, which just strikes the void of air that Kensou was occupying just moments before. He has enough presence of mind to apply the brakes, and his shoes catch as he skids to a stop among the fallen leaves, only to find Kensou's hand already trying to sneak its way around his forearm. He actually succeeds for a moment, at that, before Kelvin's eyes blink open in a moment of insight, and with his free hand he reaches over to send what's remaining of his forward motion into Kensou's arm. Should it all work out, he'll be the one taking Kensou -- and Chin -- down. Hopefully the old man can scamper out or something, if he even feels it through that drunken haze!
Somehow, Chin DOES feel this happening, before even Kensou does, perhaps, which is an odd thing altogether. As the attack is made, Chin is already in motion, more or less loosening his feet's hold on Kensou's waist, kipping them backwards, and then more or less flipping upwards as Kensou falls on his back. For a moment, Chin literally is standing on his hands, on top of Kensou's shoulders, before he more or less shambles off the young boy, then rights himself onto his feet, tucking his arms behind his back. "Hmm! I shaw that comin' from a mile off, Kenshou! Was that strength you showed me just a fluke?! Get up, boy, get up!" He doesn't make any attacks... unless you count verbally assaulting Kensou an attack. At least he's off Kensou, now! "At this rate, you'll be buying my sake for the whole *year*!"
Oh, damn it! Why does he have to get smack talked at him from an old drunkm on top of everything else? Kensou grunts a bit, of course noticing Xiangfei and her little chi building trick over yonder. What the hell is he supposed to do about that right now? It doesn't seem like he really has a lot to do about that... Especially not while Kelvin is a genuine threat and right up in front of his face, too. "Don't... Underestimate me!!" Kensou exclaims, suddenly springing back up... On one hand. As he comes up off the ground, he strikes out with first one and then his other foot at Kelvin, trying to smash the other young psion with a piston kick. "Hyaa-!!" Okay, maybe he's got a /few/ issues after running into Vega the other day.
Xiangfei's little charge up tapers off, and needless to say, the Heavenly Hip-Hop Honey is lookig -pumped- right now! However, noticing the flexibility of Chin, and of course his chiding to Kensou, the girl can't help but bust out laughing, pointing a finger to the boy, "Hahaha! Wooh, you got wrecked! Hey, I want to beat up Kensou too!" Xiangfei then dashes at the Chin-free Psycho soldier, sweeping a little to the side and hooks her thumb to the loose string dangling from her pocket. You know what's coming.
The silver-plate cased engage flings outward, looking to smack the boy right in the side of the head before it's drawn back like a yo-yo, "Wataaaah!"

On the plus side, proximity lets you do things like Kelvin just did there, slamming Kensou to the ground when, perhaps, he thought he'd just managed to do the opposite. On the downside, it opens ones up to retribution from the downed victim, especially one as gung-ho and active as Kensou! As he springs back up and lets loose with those kicks, it's all Kelvin can do to straighten himself back up and bring his arms into his body, creating a denser bundle of a target than the lean youth would be, were he caught more off-guard. Not that the force is completely unfelt, mind; it simply rattles a bit less harmlessly through his body, sending him sliding back a step or two. Now..at this point, perhaps he'd stay after Kensou, were it simply them involved. Instead, they have the Hip Hop Honey here, and it'd be a bit unfair to simply gang up on his fellow psion. Not only that, Xiangfei's preoccupation presents a good attack opportunity. Biting back his reservations, he draws back his fist again, its surface glowing blue-green before the air around it is finally saturated with sparkles of light -- each a teeny, tiny explosion. With this in place, he drives it towards Xiangfei's back, the actual striking force extending a bit beyond where the actual 'attack' seems to end. There's also something like a mumbled apology..but it's Chin's will!

Okay, so... That totally didn't pan out how Kensou was hoping it would. He lets out a faintly irritated noise as Kelvin manages to block his pistoning kick, and then OH GOD IT'S THAT DAMN N-GAGE AGAIN. Despite his awkward position, he tries to avoid the failed portable video game machine/phone, but it doesn't work either, getting him knocked down again. Pretty much between Xiangfei and Kelvin, too. So while Kelvin is taking the opportunity to try and asault Xiangfei with Psycho Power... Kensou gets his hands beneath him, crossed at the wrists, and twists a bit breakdance-style, starting to strike out at both Kelvin and Xiangfei with his feet... Even when he shoves himself off of the ground, in a rising motion, trying to take both of them with him. "Uryaa-!"

Xiangfei is of course as cheery as one should expect this fight, she giving a delighted laugh once Kensou gets Noki-owned. But don't worry Kelvin, you'll be getting yours too eventually! Of course that isn't all thats in her repuitoire (sp).
"Ooh," Xiangs gaze becomes focused once she pockets her system again, but not because of Kelvin, she somehow figured the boy would target her now, and she crouches low, arms held like airplane wings as she spirals around Kelvin, "Apology accepted!" she pipes, holding the boys waist and still crouched, throws her palms upward to deflect the kick Kensou flings arguably in a direction it'd favor him hitting Kelvin more, "Hah!"
This is all in one smooth motion, for then she claps her hands, adding ever further pressure on the non-chinese fighter, releasing a burst of blue chi up at him if he's carried with the kick, or just straight up at him, "HAI!"

Remember about proximity? Well..it's definitely not Kelvin's friend here, either. He once again has to catch his own forward momentum, lest he go sliding plain across the clearing. In retrospect, perhaps that might have been the safest place to be, considering the maelstrom that is to follow. Xiangfei's manages to avoid Kensou's rising kick..but this leaves the stalled-out Kelvin perfectly prone to it, and it catches him on the jaw. While normally, he'd be able to recover from this, Xiangfei's sending a little gift of her own his way -- and while he has enough presence of mind to twist in the air to try and do..well..whatever it was he was planning, there, the burst of energy catches him right at the top of his unscheduled flight, suspending him there briefly..before he crashes back to the ground. ..yeah, that wasn't the best few seconds of his fighting career, and he even twitches a bit, before beginning to get back to his feet, taking a few deep breaths to choke down any judgement-clouding adrenaline.
Okay, so, now what's Kensou going to do? Xiangfei managed to avoid his kicks, though it doesn't seem like Kelvin was nearly as lucky, especially after Xiangfei added in chi blast to the equation. He might try to get away, or maybe he'll just give Kelvin the time to recover on his own as Kensou goes after Xiangfei, landing and immediately starting on the former waitress. "C'mon, Xiangfei! You can do better'n that, can't ya?" he demands, darting in close and lashing out with one leg, lifting it to strike with a pair of kicks to her head, the movement of his leg entirely from the knee. "Hyaa-! Yaa-!"

Poor Kelvin.. Were this a different situation, Xiangfei would be more lenient on the fighter, but today she just has one mission; and that's to impress Kensous teacher! Her eyes glance to the dazed boy a moment, and then returns to Kensou, the girl giving a little smirk, "Excuse me, are you sure you should be the o- hah!" she turns her back to Kensou, raiseing her guarded forearms to the first kick, and then crouches below the second, shaking her arms out, "Wooh, that kinda stung," she mutters to herself, then turns and delivers a chop to Kensous side, followed by a quick palm strike to his gut, "Haa- Wataah!"
While he was winded from that sudden, and very harmful, 'experiment'..Kelvin is far from finished for the moment. Taking another moment to inhale deeply, he's then back onto his feet, willing his now-bruised body back up. Okay, everything still seems to be working fine -- and it seems Kensou and Xiangfei are still preoccupied with one another. He raises a hand to brush his bangs back out of his eyes, a few pieces of dead grass and particles of dirt working their way out with the same motion, and then he's finally ready again. His unobstructed, if half-closed, eyes, watch the exchanges of blows, and then he's got his resolve back. It's not that he's holding a grudge against the girl, as her actions were perfectly understandable under the circumstances..but he'd let her down if he let it slide so easily! Suddenly slicing forward through the air, he's once again throwing his weight into something..but this time, it's a rarity for him, as one leg lifts from the ground, and with a half-twist of his body, he sends all that gathered kinetic energy towards the back of Xiangfei's head. If he can gracefully land from something so wild-looking, it'll be a miracle..but while he's in flight, at least it looks impressive? Could it be..? It's none other than.. ..[Andersons' Crushing Swing -- Dream Super Version]!

Not this time, Xiangfei! Kensou manages to block the chop, hopping back out of the way to avoid getting hit by the palm strike at all, doing a flashy flip/cartwheel to put more space between himself and the former waitress. Too bad, so sad! "C'mon, Xiangfei, I thought you were tryin' hard!" he taunts, dropping briefly into his usual fighting stance and then tensing. Oh yes, here it comes. Little motes of energy appear in the air around him, starting to whirl about his figure like a tornado of blue-tinged white light. You know something bad is coming, and it's coming for the two of you, Xiangfei and Kelvin! Xiangfei couldn't keep her amazing defensive act up forever, that was for certain, but really there's no better way to show off your stuff then to fight under pressure, right? With Kensou off her back for a moment, she can focus on Kelvins approach- Er.. Where did that boy go anyway? She feels the kick coming her way at the last moment, but it isn't enough time for her to dive out of the way unfortunatly, the kick hitting dead on and making the girl grunt as she staggers forward, "Ow!! Oh man, so you were at my blind side, not bad! But there's gonna be big trouble in a minute!" she cries to the blue-haired boy, looking to still be in good spirits though- What's not cool is that Kensou is building up for something big- It leaves her wondering what she should do about it, hmmnn. She reaches into her pocket and whips out a yen coin, her eyes narrow and she flings it like a discuss at Kensou, looking to bean him right between the eyes, "Hah!"

The blue-haired boy also becomes aware of the gathering storm, even as he's still in mid-flight from his last assault upon the Kogal-in-Training. As might have been predicted from that strange trajectory he forced himself into, his landing isn't particularly stylish, perhaps further owing to the fact that he was deflected ever-so-slightly due to the rebounding impact. Accordingly, he rolls around for several feet, before finally bringing himself to a stop, and picking himself up on his hands and forearms. For just a moment, he breaks his more usual 'game-face', coughing out a dead leaf stem, even as he utters, "..the finish..still needs some work." But, no time for that..Kensou -- is he going for..'THAT' thing? Seeing Xiangfei charging in, Kelvin is wary to follow in immediately, and instead hangs back..taking his time to recover. If he's going to blow *Kelvin* up, he'll have to come over *here* to do it!

Sorry, no getting hit square in the head for Kensou, thanks! He manages to duck his head to one side enough that the coin just glances off of him, stinging a little but not really putting much of a dent in him. "D'you think you're really gonna be able t' defeat me usin' stuff like that, Xiangfei? I thought you were better'n that!" And he... Reaches behind his back?! Oh no! Could it be?! Yes, Kensou produces a piping-hot meatbun from seemingly nowhere, and he pops it right in his mouth, starting to chew. Arm num num. That's kind of anticlimactic, huh?
Xiangfei tilts her head a little, and then she smirks to Kensou, a glint of myschief in her eyes, ".. It worked last time, didn't it?" she asks teasingly, the girl giving a wink to him but then.. But then he breaks out with the something or other technique of certain death! And you know what happens? Well, Xiangfei gets mad, that's what, she gets mad and hungry, for the moment still her attention drawn away from Kensou, "NO FAIR!!" she cries, "Now you're just cheating, I want one too, I want one too!!" Xiangfei goes racing at Kensou and she leaps to try and tackle Kensou to the ground- Mind you, there's a ring of smoke the blows from beneath her feet as she does this to give a horizontal boost, rather than a diagonal one, "WAAAUGH!"
Geez, this is kind of embarassing. Even so, it's kind of a relief that it *wasn't* what Kelvin had feared, from that strange sensation that the gathering of psionic energies tends to give. He even spares a deep exhalation of air, in response, before watching the ever-hungry Xiangfei charge in for the kill -- and the nikuman. Now that he's succeeded in his second experiment of the night, he's satisfied enough with the position he's left Xiangfei in for the moment, and decides to see if he can help chip the proverbial paint of the other combatant a touch. Taking a path more or less diagonal to the one the Chinagirl is flying in, he's also off to the races, deceptively fast once he plants one foot firmly in the ground to give him a dash forward. If Xiangfei can knock Kensou off balance with her charge, all the better..but regardless, he's looking to take hold of the arm of the meatbun-eating youth, and then transfer that forward momentum to him in that instant of contact, to give him a not-so-subtle nudge to the turf. Then again, he could just end up standing there with his arm having a hold on nothing, and looking like a fool.

See, now that... Didn't work out at all. Kensou looks a lot better for a second, and then he gets jacked right up, tackled by Xiangfei and then tossed away from her by Kelvin. "Ow! Ow! Dammit! Why do you guys never attack each other?!" Why must they pick on him?! It just plain isn't fair! He scrambles up to his feet, and... Produces another meatbun! And this time, he sticks his tongue out at Xiangfei before eating it. Ha ha ha ha, how do you like /them/ apples?!
Xiangfei's eyes widen, almost enragedly when Kensou downs that bun, and all she gets.. All she gets is just a smell, a little whiff of the bun that makes her tummy growl.

She plants face first into the ground when Kensou is back on his feet and whips out -another- bun? She blinks, and then her eyes narrow, ".... oh I hate you so much.." and she hand springs just straight up into the air, "Need you even ASK???" she yells, "You little creep I'm going to take you out!" she inexplainably blasts downward, slamming a stunning kicks right at the boys face, the blow landing with power never seen before! She drops to the ground and then twirls, looking to thrust her palms into the small of the boys back, "Hup!! HaaaAH!" and finally she twirls around and with a forceful stomp, slams her elbow into the boys back to finish the combination, "YOU! ARE! MEAN!"
Hey, hey..everyone. Kelvin is over here! It almost seems like Kensou and Xiangfei are having their own little private battle, now..and that's about what he expected might happen, with bad blood between the two like there has been for months. Even so..here he thought they were starting to get along a little better. Alas. Well..apparently it's up to the sleepy youth to even the odds, and so he makes ready to do, as best he can. While Xiangfei is once again on the offensive, she might notice Kelvin sliding into place behind her, making ready to take hold of the back of her China-shirt, and then use a little gravity assist to heft her up as he bends over backwards, and send her driving into the ground backwards. His movements at this moment have measuredly less finesse than he normally employs, perhaps speaking of.. ..Anderson influence. Shudder.

If it's time to worry about Kensou, that sure ain't what Xiangfei is doing! "Kensou, you are -dead-!" Xiangfei yells, she's impressed that the boy has managed to survive her onslaught, but as a result there must be a dent in his defenses now, right? She silently curses herself though, she knows she shouldn't have gone all out the first time, but Kensous mean tricks just really get to her! She's about to deliver another kick at the boy, attempting to flip over him to get by, but clumsily ends up falling into his hold and SLAMS onto the ground, sending the psycho soldiers ball zooming past her harmlessly by mere centimeters man! "... oof.." she grunts, knocked for a loop a moment, then curls up and rolls back to give herself a moment to recollect her strategy.. Now.. What was she supposed to be doing again?

Now comes a time for a critical decision -- which fighter does he wish to throw himself upon the tender mercies thereof? Kelvin can tell, despite what their body language might say..everybody, including himself, is getting fairly worn down. As he gets back to his feet after having completed the throw..he takes just a moment to catch his breath, not used to truly *physical* lifting. At least she wasn't as heavy as some of the people he's been expected to throw around, over the years. "This is going pretty well, huh," he offers to both..and he'd invite them to give up on their personal rivalries to come after him, except..y'know..last time they did that, it put him in a pretty precarious position. Any thoughts of keeping it fair are momentarily cast to the wind, as unfortunately for Xiangfei..she sets herself up for a perceived opening that the young man can't ignore. Once again, he utters an apology, as his face once again goes a bit cold and passive to the world around him, and he's once again on the offensive. This time, another kick -- odd that he'd rely on brute force twice in a row, especially since he doesn't *have* that much to go around; but don't question what's been working too harshly. The kick itself is a simple affair, but he's throwing all his weight and focused determination into it..heart counts for a lot, in this 'sport!'
Poor Xiangfei, so picked on. Kensou lets out a bit of a frustrated noise as his Psycho Power projectile is so dodged, and there she goes to start strategising, eh? We can't have that! Whether or not Kelvin manages to hit the former waitress, /Kensou/ has plans of his own; he reaches behind his back again, producing... A third meatbun?! Where the crap does he HIDE these things?! Anyway, it seems that his plan this time is a bit different from the last two. This time? He chucks the bun right at Xiangfei. Except, if it hits she'll discover - perhaps to her dismay - that this is in fact a pizza bun, filled with hot hot hot cheese and tomato sauce. Uh oh!

And so, the rivalry continues.. ..splitting Kelvin even further. He's friends with them both, and since this is just a little exhibition spar for the drunken old man's benefit -- hey, he isn't passed out over there, is he!? -- he doesn't much care about who the last one is standing. That little wager with Kensou was just that, a little friendly encouragement. But..now.. ..he doesn't want to get shown up, either. Accordingly, once his kick meets the quite solid Hip Hop defenses, Kelvin has no choice but to bust some rhymes of his own, this time going after the one Chin truly intended to test and perhaps humble, Kensou! Following up the chi blast comes a bit of a return to Kelvin's own original portfolio, this time a flying tackle to the (possibly already prone) Psycho Soldier's shoulder, and then with his foot planted, Kelvin seeks to take the hopefully shaken Kensou down. This time, he makes the potential mistake of driving him down personally, and hence is still in close range no matter the result.

Xiangfei points and laughs at Kensou, with a bit of pizza sauce around her lips, "Ha! Ha HA HA HA!!" she cries victoriously, "How do you like THEM bananas? What you want more?" Kensou goes in for the kick and it connects, but she catches the foot and then shoves him in the chest to make him fall on the floor, releases the foot and then gives him a good hard STOMP right on the gut, "wwwWWWATAAAAAAH!!" she cries. Hmm.. And then that done, she leans forward, pulls her cheeks out and raspberries him, "Biida biida biiiiiiiiiiii!!"
And again.. ..Kelvin is a non-factor. And..he's pretty much ignored as these two continue their descent into personal squabbles. Well..if they're going to be that way..! At least they haven't just taken a moment to end it all for the young man, and then resumed their own conflict. But.. ..he'll just have to fight on, try to play 'fair', and make do with knowing that at least Xiangfei is having some kind of twisted fun out of the ordeal. Speaking of which, she's the one now caught in the sleepy youth's crosshairs, trying to come up from behind as she biidahs..and meet the center of her back with a helluva strong spinning punch, one that has become the backup trademark in times like these and is fortified with all the goodness of that motion. If he doesn't have the muscle..then he just has to fake it by going all out!
Oh, man. Xiangfei. You just totally made Kensou angry. And you would /not/ like Kensou when he's angry. He gets knocked down and stomped, and then /she taunts him/. It is so totally, totally on, once Kensou doesn't feel like he's about to fall over anymore. Letting Kelvin take care of Xiangfei, he scrambles away and somehow manages to produce a fourth meatbun! This one, like the first two, goes into his gaping maw. Clearly, fighting Xiangfei is hungry work. Or maybe he's just having a really, really, really bad day.

Time out!" she cries, and slouches again, "Oh man, this sucks..."

Cheer up, emo kid! Kelvin doesn't seem to be following up on it, after Xiangfei slumps to the ground.. ..is that a concession of defeat? Perhaps it registers as a surrender in the subconscious mind that controls most of Kelvin's reactions, at the moment. Whatever the case, he leaves her alone long enough to turn instead to Kensou..still chewing away on those meatbuns of his. Would Chin approve of this, on top of letting it stew down into a bitter grudge match? "..hnn.." He takes a deep breath, gathering himself, and a moment later he's lunging towards Kensou, trying to summon up some more of that strength to simply take hold of him around the abdomen, and then drop him over backwards not unlike he did to Xiangfei earlier. Perhaps he is allowing himself to slide a bit, as well..in a way. Going to power techniques, when in fact, strategy is what's called for!

But Kensou manages to avoid the grab, getting ahold of young Mister Anderson's wrist and upper arm for leverage... "Sorry 'bout this, Kelvin," he says to the sleepy boy, before using that grip to throw him /at Xiangfei/. It's probably not going to hurt Kelvin much, but uh... Look out, Auntie Li!

It is pretty easy to get lost in the futility of this.. Though he's had a few good strikes in the series, pretty much this has been the Kensou vs. Xiangfei show. To top it all off, he's even used as a projectile! Of course, Kensou's apology is accepted, even mid-flight..and when he goes tumbling with Xiangfei, who knows what she might do! Instead..she just sort of lands on top of him, and his eyes actually give a blink for a moment, before he rubs his head puzzledly. Was he supposed to have some kind of reaction here, maybe? Since there's no director here to retape the scene, he moves back to his feet..dusting off some leaves and dirt, but otherwise unmolested -- so to speak. "Hmmm," he mumbles, trying to re-analyze the situation as he turns back around, facing his far more energetic colleagues. Since they're so insist on having their own fun, he'll just take a moment here to observe, and perhaps look a bit more sleepier than usual, rocking back and forth as his eyes almost completely close.

This is a tell-tale sign that some serious crap is about to hit the fan!!!
It's obvious that Xiangfei is.. ..planning something. What she could possibly be intending to do is a bit beyond Kelvin's ability to read thoughts, especially considering..he can't, yet. It's just obvious from that termite-ridden smirk that she's a Grinch out to steal someone's Christmas. There's that distinctly trained coin-flick, too..and apparently she's trying to set Kensou up. It might be in Kelvin's best interest to chip in and go for the kill..but.. ..Xiangfei is closer, which means less running, and she's also distracted. Plus, she's totally CRAZY -- he has some idea of what Kensou might be out to do, he has no clue on this girl. So, once again, accept his uttered apologies..for he's going for it! Aiming to dart 'past' Xiangfei, he instead stops right beside her, and tries to grab hold of her arm. Should he managed to do so, he once again propels all that force through his grip, and she'd feel that rather sharp tug to the ground. He's not some young newbie who needs your charity, woman, just look how manly he is! ..and..so sleepy.. Regardless of the outcome, he continues standing where he was at the moment he'd stopped, and the swaying continues, anew. ( Damn.. ..just a bit more.. )

Sadly, this time Kensou doesn't seem to manage to do much about that coin, getting hit right between the eyes. "Augh!" exclaims he, putting a hand to his face. That /hurt/, goddammit! It was highly unpleasant! Anyway, he runs forward, whether Xiangfei manages to avoid Kelvin's attack or just get back to her feet, unloading with a big punch to the face! And if it hits, he begins a punishing little combination, with another few punches and then twisting around to try and sweep Xiangfei's feet right out from under her. "Not yet!!"

Xiangfei isn't even sure what happened there.. One moment she was totally getting stomped, and then like.. Uh.. The next she's about to whup SOMBODY. Kelvin takes her arm just as she's about to step forward and blinks, ".... huh- OOF!" and she crashes to the ground. That just, like.. Hurt like dickens, who even -knows- what was going on but it looks like she's out of it, done.. Nothing left!
That is until she kip-ups to her feet and Kensou slugs her but good right in the forehead, an almost dangerous gleam in her eye as she grins to the boy, "Oh -yes- yet!" she yells, skipping the usual schematics of her family technique and thrusts her palms against Kensous gut, releasing burst after burst of chi inside the young fighter, the last with enough force to send him tumbling back like a tumbleweed! Bruised and battered, the chinese warrior still stands, fist raised in the air, and then points a finger at Kelvin, "Sorry for the wait, now it's you and me!"
Xiangfei, for the record, would have been SUPER SCREWED if Negative Momentum were psi though! Just so you know.
Someone other than Kensou might just accept that. Just lie down. But Kensou? Is not that srt of a person. He does tumble back from that chi attack, but he gets back up... To a crouch, at least, clambering along on his hands and feet after Xiangfei, who seems awfully preoccupied with young Kelvin over there. It might be very surprising for her, then, when Kensou leaps into the air behind her, trying for a last ditch jump-kick to the back of the head... Complete with sassy blue streak of PSYCHO POWER following and enveloping his foot. "URYAA-!"

..counting your chickens before they hatch, aren't you Xiangfei? Or..was it..putting all your eggs in one basket.. Regardless, though it might look a bit bleak for Kensou, he might yet have some kind of trick up his sleeve to even the score. Believe Kelvin when he says..he's seen things swing around in a heartbeat, with that guy. He even sort of motions behind Xiangfei, pointing out with his finger that she might be turning her back a little *too* quickly, no matter how impressive her 'finisher' was. It seems his concern is well-founded, considering that kick coming from behind. Is Kelvin going to stand for having his kill stolen, though? Well..there's the very real inclination to just stand here and let Kensou have a shot at finishing the job, but..no. That's not the way Chin would expect it to be. With that in mind, Kelvin readies himself for what might be the final exchange, and he's rushing forward to give Xiangfei a sample of his fist, once again. Another direct movement, stepping forward with one fist drawn back..and then he brings it forward, with all of his weight thrown into it, aiming for the girl's gut -- or back, should she wheel around to face the other threat. Damned if you do, damned if you don't?
