Description: Shingo takes on all challengers to help promote a new sports drink. In this case, all challengers equals Nassir and Gabriel. Who'd rather kill each other than fight Shingo.
Step right up! Come one, come all! To the greatest show in the Park! Currently, anyways. It's a bright and clear Tuesday afternoon/early evening. The exact time doesn't really matter. Just that everyone enjoys themselves and gets suckered...err...drawn in to the crowd gathering in front of what looks like a stage of sorts set up in a section of the park that the greatest number of people passing by can see. High traffic area as it were. It's the whole she-bang. Tall speakers. Lights. Loud MC. Banners everywhere. Hot females manning the booths for what looks like some sort of new sports drink. Fighterade. Cheesy name. But apparently the focus groups liked it. Go figure.
Standing on the stage in front of everyone and doing his best to attract passer-bys and onlookers to come closer and check out what they're promoting is the MC. He's a young guy. Probably in his early 20s. Doing his best to hit on the girls and goading the men into coming by. Off to his side is a fighter a lot of Southtown locals know. Shingo Yabuki. He's up on stage doing his thing. You know, the whole waving and grinning like a doofus deal. "That's right folks! Fighterade is the newest sports drink out! One sip and you can take on the world! And here to help us out is your very own Shingoooooo Yabuuuuukiiiiiiiii!" The crowd gives applause and cheer. Mostly to be polite and go with the flow. There are some fans for the boy though. "He's here to prove our motto! That's right! He's taking on any and all challengers! Think you got what it takes to take on this two time King of Fighters participant and multiple Saturday Night Fight champion?! Step on up!" He pauses for dramatic purposes and then says a little more quietly, "Right after you sign the waivers provided..."
Well so there was commotion. That much Gabriel knew. And when she gets closer it gets louder. Okay, this is not the sort of place Kai Gabriel likes to put herself. So why might you ask is she here? Like a moth to the flame. She just doesn't know what is good for her. So here Gabriel is, watching the bit about 'accepting challengers'. She knows Shingo, but he looks busy, so she'll just stand there for a while and pretend to be watching without getting involved. Hmm dee dumb. She pulls out a book and begins to read. So far, the name of SHINGO seems to inspire fear, or book reading, into people.
"Step three just doesn't make any sense, Merciful goddess.. I pray that math someday makes sense to me before the exam at the end of the week.. please."
Fighterade. Jeez.
Nassir was around, another one of those unfortunate moths drawn out by the commotion, curiousity overriding his wish to stalk the everloving hell out of Gabriel. Luckily enough for him, Gabriel and the focus of his curiousity happened to end up in the same place at the same time. Perhaps he could make the best out of an odd situation. Mulling through the crowds of people, Nassir drew himself up to one of the signin booths, scribbling down something reasonably approximate to his name. Fights were opportunities to assess others, win or lose, and this wasn't one he would turn down.
"What's this? No challengers?" The announcer goes on to ask after no one raises their hands, shouts out, or steps forward. He turns to Shingo chuckling and still speaking into the mic, "Man, Shingo. I don't know you were -that- tough. You mean to tell me that there's /no one/ in this whole crowd that can take you?" Mind you he's still talking to Shingo at this point. Pretending that the crowd isn't even there for emphasis. "Dude. That's just crazy." He shakes his head. What of Shingo? What's he doing the whole time he's being spoken to? Well for one he's standing there rubbing the back of his head still with the foolish grin. Slightly embarrassed. He's been out in front of a crowd before, obviously. Just not in a particular situation like this that wasn't a SNF fight. And being put in the spotlight making it seem like he's the greatest fighter that ever lived. To the question being asked of him, he just shrugs. He always knew he was a good fighter. But never so good that no one wanted to give it a shot against him in a public fight such as this. Thinking to himself to figure out why he agreed to do this again? His thoughts cut short by the loud MC.
"Oh wait! What's this? Seems like we have our first challenger! I was beginning to think that no one had the guts to take on my friend here!" Comes the announcement when someone who actually looks like a fighter makes his way to the front of the crowd and starts filling out the waiver in the rare case that he gets physically mauled so that he has no excuse for legal recourse. Not that the company doing the promotion will have much money left anyways after their drink flops in less than a month out on the market. Not that would happen. Just being realistic. "Anyone else? Are the rest of you going to stand by and watch this hapless young lad take on the big bad Shingonaut all by himself?" Shingonaut? Shingo blinks at -that- name. He hasn't heard that one before. He's also not sure if he likes it or not and plays around with it in his head.
Oh no he doesn't, the instant Gabriel see's Nassir her insides clench and she rushes toward the sign up table and thrusts her own name down. "You! Heretic! The goddess has given me strength today to show you the light and cast you into the shadows where you belong!" the girl gives a dramatic point toward Nassir to show just how serious she is and a glare that could make baby nun's cry.
"And don't you think I'll allow you to get away with pilfering my precious notebook, I shall reclaim it with the glory of the maiden of light! Prepare yourself, today you will pay for your sins!" Incase you were wondering, it didn't look like Gabriel had any intention of playing by the rules. Shingo? Who? Only person she was aware of was Nassir.
Geez, what a spectacle...people actually waste money on these marketing debacles? Usually, D! wouldn't go around these things, just because they're just so much noise trying to sell things that usually aren't worth it. I mean....FIGHTERADE? Geez...but he comes here. Why? Because he heard Shingo was being featured for the whole event. The fact that he's supposed to be taking on all challengers means that it should be an interesting show.In any case, he notices 1) Shingo, standing nervously, 2) That weird Arab guy who was on his team against Ken, and 3) Gabriel trying to beat the second to the table to sign up against Shingo. "Well......this should be pretty interesting," he says with a smirk, making his way to the table. "Hey, kid!' he shouts, waving to Shingo. "Having trouble with challengers?"
Cue the 'Kill Bill' music, pull an extreme closeup on Nassir's face--it was, as they say, fighting time. Of course, this made things extremely interesting: He just finished signing away at the various lines. Would Shingo consider this to be all the cue he needed to start wailing? He honestly didn't know enough about the fighter to be able to ascertain his morality, his methods to the madness. Unlike their previous encounters, Nassir doesn't spare any lengthy diatribe, monologue, or speech. Instead, his is one word--a word, interestingly enough, that isn't even in english. Tenor voice bubbling up with an thick Arabian accent, Nassir points a finger at Gabriel.

"Hey hey hey! Save that energy for my man here, kids! Before I have security put you two on timeout!" He notices the disturbance caused by Gabriel and Nassir. How could he not? They're standing right in front of the stage. "Security!" Just as a precaution. Five somewhat larger than average muscular guys step out from who knows where? Let's just say behind the stage and from throughout the crowd from where they were sparsed out. They're probably no match for Nassir and Gabriel alone. But five of them altogether should prove enough of a threat to settle the kids down. Especially when they get between the two younger fighters. Almost like if this was an episode of Jerry Springer. "My my, quite a bit of energy you two got there!" Mister MC rubs his chin with an evil grin on his lips. "I wonder if it's enough to handle the Shingonaut?!" When it looks like that the two would be cooperating, he adds, "If you two can out my buddy here, you both get a lifetime's worth of...huh?" A petite girl with glasses quickly dashes across the stage to whisper something in the man's ear. "If you win, you both get a whole two month's supply of Fighterade for free! And also you avoid immense physical discomfort from my associates." A hand motions to the five bouncers.
Shingo blinks and arches a brow at both Nassir and Gabriel. The former he doesn't know at all but he's somewhat familiar with the latter. Didn't she get kidnapped or something the other night? The boy scratches head and finally notices the boxer waving to him; giving a wave back with a thumbs-up. The 'Shingonaut' then looks back to Nassir and Gabriel and wonders if he's going to have to end up breaking it up himself. But he thinks the five big guys would be able to handle it pretty well.
Five bouncers. Gabriel considers a moment then looks at Shingo. *sigh* well she can't kill him here. The girl just folds her arms and turns her back on the crowd. Maybe if she stands here and waits long enough they'll all go away and then she can kill Nassir. She's patient, they can't stay there all night (nevermind Nassir probably won't either). She'll just count to a really high number, "One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine , ten, eleven, twelve, . . . ." and so on and so fourth. This isn't looking good for the promotional gig.. so far.
HeavyD just...stops, scratching his head as he watches the two possible challengers for Shingo seem to worry more about...er...themselves, instead of challenging Shingo. Shaking his head, he approaches the area from the side, trying to get close enough to aside to the schoolboy fighter. "Was this part of your deal with these guys?"
Nassir...could do this.
Five bouncer-security-rentacops-whatever. If he made use of his sidearm and grenades, he could take them all out. He might be out of ordnance by the time he reached Gabriel, but he was confident that his faith would overshine hers. He could do this. He could kill them all. Nassir's hands play along those aforementioned orbs of mass destruction, plotting, laying things out...strategizing. They were innocents, perhaps...but then innocent lives were taken every day to ensure that an objective was met. It might not be ideal, but the objective could not be compromised. They would die, if he chose to pull the trigger. This, he was sure of.
But then, if he killed them all, he ran the risk of drawing undue attention to Rolento's movements. Secrecy, at least to some degree, would be paramount. He could...wait until either Shingo was down or until the promotion ended to kill the girl.
So then, while Gabriel counted, Nassir glared.

Shingo nods his head to D, "It looks like it. One of my friends works for them and asked me if I could help them out with this. So..." He shrugs, "Uh yeah. I just didn't think it that people would be here to start fight amongst themselves. Crazy, huh?" Glances are given back to the two other fighters squaring off against each other and just shakes his head. Teenagers. Meh. Nevermind that he's still technically a teenager as well.
Elsewhere, that being back over to in front the stage, Nassir is facing off against Garbiel and both have the 5 security guys between them with the announcer still working on getting a handle on things. When it really looks like he has no other option, he shrugs and says into his mic, "Whatever. They'll do. Alright guys! Get them up here! I ask everyone else please get back!" In a flash all five bouncers move as one cohesive unit and /chuck/ both Nassir and Gabriel up into the air without their persmission and their awareness. They one could be almost positive they'd notice flying through the air. The warning by the MC for everyone to get back is for good cause. Almost as soon as he says it and there's clearance from around the stage, it converts into a bona fide wrestling/boxing ring. The turnbuckles rising up from the four corners and shooting out the ropes to enclose off the area. It all happens in an instant seeing that it's all accomplished by the time Nassir and Gabby fall into the ring. The bell rings. The match starts. And Shingo is on them both. Better to keep them occupied with himself than each other.
"All right! Let's go!" Shingo shouts out at both into a dash. At several feet away he jumps forward and fires off a kick each to the two bitter enemies. He twists his body (which is perpendicular more or less to the ground) so that Gabby on his right is kicked by his left foot and Nassir on his left is struck by his right. That's how it worked out in his head anyways. It's not exactly a familiar movement to the 'Shingonaut' and thusly he tumbles to the ground after.

When the kick comes in, Gabriel is still stunned from her dreamland of having been counting. She reached one fifty when suddenly she's hoisted up into the air. Hey what the.. Then she's flung unceremoniously into a ring. Ouch. In her mind all she can think of is that she needs patience and then when she lifts her head, she sees a foot. Protip: Get out of the way. So she does. Now you might wonder why not block that attack? The answer is simple, she would hate for it to then miss Nassir whom she noticed to be next to her. Getting quickly to her feet she watches the final outcome of the kick and even cheers Shingo on,
"Maiden bless your aim Yabuki-san!" Yeah she is aware he tried kicking her first and would again soon no doubt, but for the moment he was on HER side.

Nassir was flying. Normally, this wouldn't be all that odd of an occurance...but this time, it wasn't of his own volition. It wasn't until he was on a downward arc that he realized what happened--those Security guards were deceptively fast. There wasn't enough time for him to think about retaliation against them specifically, for the followup was so quick--first the stage converting into a ring, second the kick flying in for the both of them. He understood Shingo's proposition and position easily enough...he likely was being paid for this, or something, and had to fulfill his side of things.
Whirling his body around, Nassir drew his body down, hugging the canvas and eluding the kick before drawing himself up to a crouch. "I have no ill-will for you, Yabuki. Objectives need completion. Acceptable."
So, then, Shingo would be an enemy. The security guards, likewise...and, of course, Gabriel. That was a lot of enemy, but faith would guide his hand and bolster his will. "I will stand strong in the face of opposition." With that stated, Nassir pulls free one of those grenades, casually plopping it down in between the two fighters, with only a half second before detonation.
...well, this doesn't look good. Looks like for the sake of the event, the two enemies may in fact be working together. So...the boxer known as D! simply steps back, taking a more spectatorial role in the whole thing. At least...unless something, for some reason, draws him in.

A double miss, darn. Shingo would hoped that at least his tumbling to the ground would've been for something other than landing flate on his back and leaving himself wide open. How ironic. Gabriel doesn't retaliate right away. He's got that to be thankful for. Even blessing his aim. How thoughtful of her. Nassir on the other hand isn't so merciful. Shingo is already in a backward roll to his feet when he sees the explosive tossed at him. Managing to bring his arms up in a block just as he lands on his feet with an inch-long slide. Canvas and rubber don't afford much in terms of slipping and sliding. A grenade?! He finally realises what he got hit with. "Geez, don't you think you're a little young to be playing with explosives?" A second explosion. Did he throw them at Gabriel too? Shingo won't have any of this disregard for people by the liberal use of explosive devices. "You're wide open!" He takes a deep step in at Nassir swinging his right fist at the kid's head to knock some sense into him.
The crowd and announcer watching on with cheers and cries of approval. Just as long as no greandes accidentally come their way. The bouncers spaced out around the ring to take care of anyone that falls out. You know, to promptly toss them back in for their beating.

Gabriel watches with mild disinterest as the grenade bounces near her feet. She knows this game! And so the girl reaches down and picks it up and casually chucks it back toward Nassir with a rather cold reply, "Heretic, you dropped something. Littering is against the law and makes the earth a rather unpleasant place. Here." No she didn't say all of that holding the grenade, actually she tossed it back rather quickly and said all of that after and during the little orb's bouncing toward her opponent. How pleased she looks with herself though, in a bitter sort of way. She found a way to strike at Nassir perfectly legitimately. Not that she planned to play by the rules anyway.

Tactics. Don't leave home without it.
Nassir didn't make it through sixteen years of hell without hardening himself, taking every opportunity he could regardless of how dishonorable or underhanded it might initially seem. The men on the other side of a bullet would take no prisoners, give no quarter, show no mercy...which meant Nassir quickly learned to emulate it. With two enemies in the ring, at least one of which looking for no less than victory through murder, Nassir emulated and returned the favor.
He'd seen the girl attempt to throw his grenades back at him before, at their SNF fight...which meant he knew to expect it again here. Shingo was an unknown element, but perhaps he could use his aggression against the both of them as well.
Holding still until the last moment, Nassir shifted his weight to move out of the way of the assault...hoping that Shingo might overreach and leave himself in the blast radius of the returned explosive. Instead, Nassir quickly found out that Shingo was very capable of handling business and stovepiping any plans of that nature. Doubling over, Nassir's eyes shifted upwards, watching the grenade as it threatened to blow him away. Almost by instinct, a hand flicked down to his knife holster, pulling one of the lengthy weapons of war free and flinging it on a collision course with the grenade. With a light 'tink' the grenade ricochets off harmlessly...or rather, harmlessly in the sense that it only took out some sound equipment. The knife, however, is surprisingly still on course, afterimages cast in blue and grey energy making a pretty firework show.
This isn't exactly what the drink promoters had in mind when they organized this whole event. But any publicity is free publicity, right? They're not going to complain as long as it helps promote their product. It was supposed to be Shingo vs the World, in a manner of speaking. Now it seems the world is doing what its best at. Fighting amongst themselves. Projectiles are flying around everywhere. He may want to keep his head down if he wants to avoid losing it between the grenades and knives. Except that he has to worry about the crowd and staff as well. Let's see if he can get their attention again. As the two go at it, Shingo starts removing his sneakers. One at a time. Mission accomplished. "Heads up you two! You're supposed to be fighting me!" Fire one! His left shoe is thrown at Nassir. Fire two! His right one tossed at Gabriel. This leaves him to fighting in socks now.

The shoe that comes in is luckily accompanied with Shingo giving Gabriel a little cry for attention. He's awfully cute. Then when it actually nears her she lifts a hand to block it with a scowl and a tsch. Sound. Geeze, that was annoying, then there is the knife to deal with. Initially she probably planned to try catching it and throwing it back, but unfortunately she was out of time, so instead she picks up Shingo's shoe and tries to get it throw at the knife. Her aim at the rather sudden reaction is off unfortunately and she ends up hurling the shoe way to wide for the thing to hit it's mark, which is tiny to say the least and it strikes her in the shoulder. Bringing a hand up to her shoulder she holds the spot where the knife struck and hisses under her breath, "I.. will not.. let myself fall.. before.. him."

Okay, that didn't even make sense.
Nassir's smile began to emerge from the corners of his mouth, satisfied that his strike found a good home in Gabriel's flesh. He was all set to say something when he was reminded that they were not the only people in the world. Of course, this reminder didn't come in the form of Shingo's helpful Protip, but that size...what, twelve? Thirteen shoe? Upside the head.
A shoe that, apparently, was moving at the speed of wtf.
Head whipping to one side with a sickening 'crak!', Nassir drops down to one knee. This fight wasn't going to be winnable with his interference: An odd thought since his interference was actually why he was here to begin with. Eyes shifting upwards, Nassir began to plot his exit strategy...but that didn't mean the youth was just standing around. Running towards Shingo, Nassir begins to glow with the same bluish-grey energy that the knife had, afterimages of his sprint forming and dissipating behind him.

Ah, Poop. For posterity's sake? Nassir stops short of Shingo, about four or five feet and skidding another. The afterimages, however, don't stop--A pair of Nassir-alikes surging forward, one going high with a jumping knifethrust, another going low with a sweeping kick. Both dissipate once their moves are complete, leaving Nassir standing there looking...dejected.
His efforts for garnering attention from Nassir and Gabriel have apparently gone for naught so far. For one thing, Gabby isn't even attacking him. She seems to be dead set on finishing off Nassir. And then the soldier kid just seems to be content with blowing up Gabby. Leaving no one for Shingo to play with. He's not getting paid to stand up and watch two other people beat themselves up, darnit. This is going to be a 2v1 against him, so help him. This starts with sidestepping the charging after-images towards the projector of said images. The knifethrust and sweeping kick easily dodged by the accomplished Kusanagi-ryuu fighter. "Not bad! But you got to be better than that!" A blue-gloved hand lashes out and grabs the sixteen year old by the arm. With a quick jerk, yank, and throw, Shingo sends Nassir airborne towards the other combatant in the ring with an overhead shoulder throw. That's right, Gabriel. Express delivery of one middle-eastern mercenary! No signature required, "Teya!"

Green eyes, dark jade, like bark, almost brown.. Ice cold. Glaring. She goes from Nassir, watching him from a moment to shoot daggers at Shingo. Tight lipped and every inch expressing anger, she simply stands there staring for a moment and then lets out a shout of fury, "Yabuki!" No san, she's pissed! ".... you... interference.." she hisses venomously. She doesn't hate Shingo, but Shingo is in the way of her and her religious right. Therefore he must be made to be out of the way.
With a sudden run she darts toward Shingo and leaps into the air to try and land on his shoulders, her body twisting and bending to shove a gathered fistful of energy into his face before kicking off, if she can land there in the first place. The whole time she gives a cry of , "YYAaaaahaha!"
It is during her charge that Shingo's object, which happens to be Nassir, is dodged, she simply weaves under and to one side.
So then, Nassir is caught easily enough by the spokesman's throw, flying by Gabriel on a crashcourse with the ground. Using some basic rolling, Nassir manages to avoid any major pain, but still takes the fall rather awkwardly on his back. While he could only curse that Shingo's aim wasn't better, at least Gabriel and Nassir could agree on one point: His interference was making it awfully difficult to kill each other off like they wanted to. So, then, the obstacle would be removed....
...in a minute. She could hold his attention for a second while he recouperated and thought on the situation. Rolling out of the ring entirely, Nassir used the cover to catch a quick breath.

Now we're talking. Shingo knew that if he kept getting in between their little fued that they'd see the error of their ways and decide to finally come after him together. If only to get him out of the way so that they can finish kill each other. What he didn't count on was Gabriel getting so upset over his little interference. He wasn't aware the girl could manifest that type of emotion so suddenly. The hateration directed in his direction catches him off-guard. Quite unlike her attack. While jumping and shouting in the air may work for him, it isn't exactly recommended for her. A lone forearm coming upward to block the jump-in and preventing her from remaining perched on his shoulders to feed him some chi. As tasty as it sounds. "Dang, Gabriel. Didn't know you had it in you," he comments. "But you know, you shouldn't rush in screaming like that. It leaves you...WIDE OPEN!" Shingo's blatant stealing of Kyo's lines and techniques is known far and wide. So should be the lunging hook punch coming in at Gabriel's upper body. She's a girl. Two things happen when Shingo attacks. Her expression is set, absolutely indifferent to the blow coming and she doesn't even try to move. 'Wide Opened' shingo yells in the Gabriel instant replay cam, to which she just grunts bitterly. Apparently she planned to use this attack to put Shingo in a position of pain, IE right in front of her with no where to go, but the attack is a little heavier than she had anticipated and she staggers back a little. Not a lot, actually she doesn't seem to of been hurt that much by it at all. And what's worse? She brings a hand over the spot where seems to of hit, squeezes it then drops her hand and stands up straighter. Few can get into a fight with Gabriel and forget easily that she has incredible recovery abilities.
"Con-FEESS!" exclaims Gabriel as she tries to grab Shingo by the scruff of his neck and turn around to hurl him over her shoulder onto the ground.
Nassir only needed a moment, he figured. Just long enough to steady his breathing and clear his head. There. Better now, right? Right. Not content to merely climb back into the ring, Nassir pops upwards like some kind of demented jack in the box, balancing himself on the top rope and springboarding onto a turnbuckle. It looked like Gabriel might've been able to throw the spokesman, which was something he could capitalize on. Pulling loose another of the orbs from his bandolier, Nassir tosses it over to where Shingo is hopefully likely to land. All he had to do was trust that Gabriel didn't horribly botch the toss.

Confess? Confess what? Shingo is innocent! He didn't do it! Plus, she said she was over eighteen. So he has nothing to worry about. Wait. What do you mean Sakura isn't eighteen yet? Oh crap. It's a fortunate thing that he doesn't actually have to air out any dirty laundrey he may have. Not that he does. Shingo is grabbed by the scruff of his neck like a helpless puppy and thrown. Right into Nassir's grenade. Things don't bode well for our hero. If he weren't a good a fighter as he is. As he is thrown, he twists his body and lands on his feet in a crouch to slide a little. He's no longer wearing his sneakers, remember? Shingo stopping himself just as the grenade lands. Giving himself the right distance and timing, he feels the heat from the explosion and uses it to propel himself back at Gabriel, "SHINGO KIIIIICKU!" Uh oh. Let's hope she's quick or at least can take a hit.
Nassir makes a 'tsk' noise that might better befit the girl he'd considered a mortal enemy. Her throw didn't keep Shingo down, which of course explains why he didn't get optimal explodybits out of his grenade. Obviously. "Your tactics are as flawed as your misplaced trust in a false idol." Yeah, Nassir is all about the power of love and friendship here, folks. This team is /totally/ going to rock the world.
"He is too fast for something you went out of your way to telegraph. Just..." Nassir slides his hand down to his holster, pulling free his sidearm--a hand-cannon that looks too big for the young man. "...Hold him still. Then we may be done with him." Rather than aim the firearm, Nassir's other hand keeps itself busy by pulling free another knife. This one is much, much smaller than the previous, looking more like a blade than a full knife. Whipping his hand around, Nassir's game seemed simple enough--distract Shingo long enough for Gabby to make good on her end of the deal.
Assuming she didn't go back to trying to blow him up, anyways. In which case, he could always just shoot /her/ instead. Win/Win situations were the best.

Waaa-smack. Gabriel is knocked way across the ring. She clearly didn't expect Shingo to come her way after going after Nassir and so she gets sent skidding across the ring. Dust is kicked up and the only thing you might notice is her angry I hate you Shingo look gets turned into a look of surprise and then bang, she's hit. When the dust clears she remains still for a while.

Whoever doesn't love the Shingo Kick obviously has been hit one too many times with it. Or just even hit once. This is probably what Gabriel is feeling towards the technique she remarked to Shingo last week that she spent a night practicing. Irony's a bitch, isn't it? Though if you're fighting Shingo, you'd be really dumb to not expect him to use his signature self-named move. Regardless if it is a blatant rip off of Kyo's R.E.D. Kick. In Yabuki's defense, he didn't mean to hit Gabby that hard. It simply happens. She should be glad that it wasn't her face that took the kick. Or else she would be needing some serious plastic surgery. But with the girl down for now, time to turn his attention to the mercenary. Turning to see the blade flying at him. Not enough time for him to get completely out of harm's way, but at least he can lessen the blow. Shingo sidesteps, the edge of the blade knicking his upper arm to tear his shirt and give him a scratch. Yeah, that's it. A scratch. He isn't called the Shingonaut for style. "SHINGO KIIIIICKU!" Time for Nassir to get his helping of Kusanagi-ryuu via foot to head. That's right, the head. Nassir isn't a girl so he doesn't get the benefit of not being hit in the face.
Picking herself up, it is obvious that the blow she just took had managed to do wonders in making Gabriel calm down and start to act like a reasonable person. She's watching Shingo now and considering how she can do this best. She wants to get rid of them both. . Of course, but she wants to get rid of Shingo first so she can deliver the final blow to Nassir. This will take a great deal of focus so she can't afford to be angry. "Yabuki-san.. Merciful Goddess, forgive my conduct, I should of not allowed myself to lose my head." She bows her head in prayer while Shingo Kick's fly around elsewhere. He's going easy on them, she can tell this now, but she wasn't going to return the favor.
COMBATSYS: Gabriel focuses on her next action.

OHGODTHEBRAINMEATS.
Nassir, to his credit, made some effort to move out of the way or something, hopping down from the turnbuckle and dropping into a roll to avoid the aerial blow. It seemed like a good idea, right up until Nassir finds himself brained with the whole of Shingo's weight. Ow. God. The brainmeats. They're leaking out of his head. The ear, specifically.
Sprawled out flat on the ground, Nassir isn't long for this fight, not by a longshot. However, he was at least of a decent enough mind to get the hell out of dodge. Escape was now the theme of the fight--his death was something Nassir wanted to avoid. Scrabbling up to his feet, the Mercenary was running for a turnbuckle. Slinging his arm in a quartercircle motion behind him, a knife is loosed...bearing a halo of the same bluishgrey energy from before.

Death? Who said anything about death? Silly Nassir, Shingo isn't going to kill you. He's not that type of person. Even if he did know how you treat pirates. He's a simple nice-guy. So stop throwing knives and grenades at him already! What'd he do to you? Sure he Shingo Kicked your brains out plus the other hits he smacked the young mercenary around with. But that's not really the issue here, is it? Maybe it is. Who knows? Who cares? In the end Shingo doesn't. He's preoccupied with the glowy knifey heading his way-y. He doesn't even know what happens when the chi encased blade embedes itself into his chest just off from his shoulder. That area seems to be the magic spot for knives and other assorted blades this week. Eh. He leaves it there for now. Preferring not to leak blood like water. What to do now though? Nassir on one side, Gabby on the other. The latter starting to worry him. She hasn't made any attacks in the past few seconds. Something obviously must be up. Shingo must put a stop to it. He rushes at her with another lunging punch, "Wake up, Gabriel! You're wide open!" People must be tired of hearing that tag line by now. Just like they must be tired of getting hit by Shingo. If so, they should do something about it.

The fact is Gabriel did look like she was sleeping. Her eyes were closed and one hand was closed around her symbol. She seems to be murmuring a prayer to herself. Naturally she looks wide opened. That is untill Shingo actually speaks, her eyes stay closed and a yellow light grows around her. When he strikes her the prayer continues and a hand whips out to grab Shingo and hold him there while the light grows "I promise.. for the future!" And with that her eyes opened and the yellow light flashes with a searing heat, engulfing both herself and Shingo, but she at least doesn't seem to mind. She is forced to let go at this point though.
Nassir, naturally, wasn't worried about /Shingo/ killing him, no...he was more worried about Shingo either being incapable of stopping Gabriel should the mercenary happen to fall, or Yabuki simply not caring to stand in the way. Either result would end in his death, something he wanted to avoid, even now. Thankfully, his defensive tactic seemed to keep Shingo's heat off of him, at least for a moment--long enough for the Mercenary to reassess the situation.
Of course, that reassessment couldn't come at a better time. Gabriel pulled /something/ out of her bag of tricks, something...glorious, he'd daresay. The yellow light was physically painful for Nassir to stare at for long, but he had a decent feeling that Shingo was probably on the worse end of that. The perfect time to strike would come.
Slowly bringing that hand-cannon of his to bear, Nassir took aim as the glow was dying down. A few light strokes of the trigger, and Nassir could be done with this.

That's new. Someone catching his devious right hook with one hand. Shingo most definitely surprised when it happens and then truly astonished by the ensuing lightshow after. The heat is uncomfortable. It was nothing compared to the flames he has felt from Kyo and Iori. That had to do with it being pure chi rather than actual flames. Quite luckily for Shingo. Had it been actual fire he'd be rolling all over the ground attempting to extinguish himself. Seeing that he's not, it could've have been too bad. Still painful though. "Man, that hurt," he says to Gabriel. Yabuki isn't angry or anything. Just the facts, ma'am. Can't let her pull off one those again. Breathing hard from the attack, Shingo erupts in a sudden burst of speed at Gabriel, "That was nice. Let's see how you handle this!" Coming into contact with the Justice student, he shoves a hard shoulder into her gut to knock her flying into the ropes. Hopefully to end this particular fight for her. This would give Nassir the perfect opportunity to shoot him in the back. Like the low down dirty rat that Shingo knows he's not.

"You think this is all a game Yabuki-san," Gabriel says in a low voice before she's plowed over. Actually she tried to get out of the way, but it was too slow. She didn't want to see Nassir win this, actually she wanted to kill him. After skidding across the ring a little ways she finally settles. With her final words she manages, "Heretic.. Tomorrow.. the outskirts.. we'll settle..." she pushes herself up and drags herself toward Shingo. "Yabuki..san.. I can't.. " She tries to grab his arm and twist it around his back. Hernext words keep coming, "Give up, but.. please.. don't lose.." In her mind she's grabbed him, if in real life she's failed it doesn't change her imaginary world where she shoots a blast of energy into his back. After this the medics drag her off.

Perfect.
His aim solidified, Nassir squeezed off the first spray--reports barking through the air and echoing off of the nearby trees. It was...odd, to say the least, seeing the big Desert Eaglesque weapon fire on Semi-automatic, but the end result was something similar to 'Underworld' guns: Quick bursts of three, flaring up the front of the gun. Of course, one burst simply wasn't enough--a second, third, fourth and fifth follow suit before the gun is left with nothing else to fire. Weapon emptied, Nassir slides the now-useless firearm back into his holster.
<A day of judgement for my enemies, concludes,> the youth comments, seemingly pleased with himself, hit or miss. He couldn't kill Gabriel with the medics dragging her off, but he could at least deal with the damnable interloper. Maybe. <And yet, My thirst is not slaked.>

Gunshots. There's another first for Shingo. Unless you count that one time he proved himself a nuisance to a bunch of Shadaloo operatives cleaning out an electronics store. They shot at him then. If you want to get technical, this is the first time someone has shot at him in a fight. With a crowd of people around no less. Geez. Obviously this guy has never heard of the word 'discretion'. This is another guy Shingo can't afford to stretch out the match with. It just so happens that if he defeats Nassir the match is over anyways. So it's a win-win situation no matter what. Good. Also. Bullets hurt. Shingo brings his arms up defensively to block as many bullets as he can from penetrating. Thankfully with his strong defenses they cause minor damage. Although he will be feeling all the bullet wounds later on after his blood stomps pumping. Not to mention that he still has this knife in him. Oh well. "Are you crazy, man?! Using a gun in a public place like this? Geez! Have some control!" Just like he did with Gabriel, Shingo charges at Nassir with a full-fledged shoulder-tackle. Except aimed for a turnbuckle. He's a soldier. He can take it.

"Normally when you shoot someone, they stop moving."
Nassir frowns upon seeing Shingo simply stand there and deflect bullets--not wholly unexpected, as he knew the capabilities of truly talented fighters, but still, unloading a clip only to see a Superman defense is sort of...demoralizing. Okay so, he was still moving. He couldn't afford to just give it up, though--so then when the tackle comes in, Nassir steadies himself, arms up, ready to blo--
Ohsnapsow. There were no more brainmeats to leak out, so instead the impact causes the soldier to cough up a gout of bloody phelgm. Knees buckling, it was only the turnbuckle that was holding the youth up...turnbuckle, and the simpleminded one-track thought of taking Shingo /down/. Not bothering to draw a weapon out, Nassir's body begins to glow with his energy...a stark contrast in color to Gabriel's bright, nigh-holy light. Quickly, his hands rise, balling not into fists but with index and middle finger straightened as they strike at various points on Shingo's chest. It's a very jarring shift in tactics--going from weapons based combat to something that seems more appropriate coming out of a chinese Dim Mak master or something, but there it is--afterimages striking points a half-second after his fingers stab, rapidly tallying some godawful number of nerve-numbing fingerstrikes.

Shingo tucks his arms in whenever going for his Phoenix Forger attack. It's how almost any sane person would go about performing a shoulder-charge. When he feels Nassir's body come in contact with his, the older fighter transfers all his weight into the boy. It's enough to knock him out. But first he's got to take care of all those pesky little stabs. And with his arms around over his chest, it's not that difficult. The finger pokes instead strike Shingo's forearms leaving bruises to go with the bullet holes. Yay. He has always wanted to walk around with a knife sticking out and bullet wounds and bruises all over him. Now's his chance. Shingo taking the hint that Nassir has no more fight in him when the younger boy drops. "Good fight. But seriously, relax on all the guns and bombs," Yabuki states before lifting an arm up in the air, "Hey! I won! I guess my luck is really good!" This causes an uproar from the crowd who by now are all more or less drinking Fighterade. Guess he put on a good show. Now to go look for those medics and the guy who's got to pay him his money for this stunt...
