Match of the Millennium

Description: In a Remote Village occupied by little more than burned, crumbling homes and ashes, the titan Kongou and the lethal husk Edenlith visit thundering fury upon a remote patch of jungle long since gutted by the engines of war.

[KONGOU]
The greed and cruelty of man is on display here. This poor jungle village did not ask to be caught in the middle of whatever warring warlords, kingpins and drug cartels were busy fueding about. But it was. Now ash drifts through the air, the ground is scorched and cratered.. Trees are splintered and burnt and smoke rises up from torched ruins. None remain, having long fled or been carried away against their will.

Certainly the perfect place for a professional match between warriors who likely couldn't care less about the circumstances of this site.

Near entrance to the village, upon a dirt road that leads nowhere, a strange gathering of a warbling haze begins to take place, like watching the formation of a mirage. The distortion increases, widening in size and scale until it is seemingly that of the size of a large garage door and then some...and finally it begins to press outward as if some immense force was just on the other side of it pushing in like a piece of saranwrap being warped as it wraps about a tremendous force it is failing to resist. Abrupt heavy *TOOOMS* and *BOOOMS* begin resounding. A seismic disturbance coming from everywhere at once. A small home already on the edge, goes tumbling down, collapsing as the shockwaves ripple through. The distortion ripples like placid waters being further disturbed by the dropping in of a boulder and the disturbances continue until..the colossus finally arrives.

And by arrive one means he presses through that ripple like some sort of monstrosity that has dined on a parade of the world's biggest bodybuilders and fighters and then moves on to the next worlds offerings and then the next. Street wide pectorals burst through first, followed by the rest of his torso without seeming end in sight. Like some sort of Kaiju, Kongou thunders on in. A dsplay of obscene immensity.

He makes his way up the road, not bothering to stop immediately and simply striding forward without much consideration for where he is or perhaps what he's doing...until he finally comes to a stop and pauses to look around. His head swivels from left to right like the movements of some tank turret and his eyes gleam with a curious look to their aura. Then he rumbles, "Hmmm! No audience?? Well then...that's quite disappointing!"

[EDENLITH]
Edenlith is on her way, running, jumping. She feels the wind in her air. Going top speed is one of her guilty pleasures. One moment, she's not at the site. The next, she simply is. It may look or feels like teleportation to some, but it is not.

Edenlith once there, doesn't look like much. Long dark blue wavy hair ending below her small chest. Red eyes, a small slim 5'5" frame. She looks like she stands no chance in front of such a titanic monstrosity. But, at the sight, Edenlith's eyes light up like a little kid in front of a Christmas tree full of presents.

For one who knows Eden, they would see she isn't with her cat again. It's not that she doesn't care for him anymore. Quite the opposite, this kind of matchup didn't look like a good opportunity to bring her furry friend about. To keep her company, she has her karambit knives and a one-piece black leather suit, presenting her curves, or lack thereof.

Then she hears the no audience part of her opponent and she has to answer now, letting him know she's here if he doesn't know already, "No audience? You're so gigantic, everyone can see you. They just won't know who you're fighting." She smirks at him.

She does not mention the village, but she is fully aware of it and the state of destruction it is in.

[KONGOU]
"How remarkable!"

The sudden arrival of Edenlith and the ease at which she addresses him seems to have some impact on the gargantua. Kongou's lips pull back into a big grin as he indeed takes note of her and settles his glowering gaze on her as his full teeth gleam bright and large, indicating true delight at her arrival and boldness.

"I did not know what to expect when I received the invititation to this tournament. This Descent. But it was so intriguing that I could not resist. I see that I will not be disappointed!"

The goliath claps his hands together and laces his fingers over top one another. The air and earth shudders from monstrous power, a strange hazy ripple occuring again as if the very area was resisting him, hoklding him back. His knuckles crack and rumble as he stretches his hands. Loud splintering sounds akin to tree trunks being sundered resulting from his gesture.

"Youa re veyr, very tiny but I understand now that this means little here in this realm. So I fear I must use what little strength I have available to seek victory!"

The giant inclines his head, still grinning affably though the gleam in his eyes and the monstrosity that is his tightening physique act in contrast to his tone and expression. "..Have fun and make it interesting..okay??"

[EDENLITH]
Kongou is impressive. There is no denying it, and Edenlith sees it as well. The fact she is so delighted is proof of this. She, of course, met opponents before who could beat her. It's just this guy looks like he could break her in half and then some. She wants him to her hurt her. She wants to hurt him. A powerful dance of moves, which ends up making them prom king and queen.

Edenlith comes back to "reality" after getting distracted by his knuckles cracking, and she almost mewled. . She is indeed very tiny compared to him. "It's to better take you down my child!" She grins. She can't help teasing him. She's fully aware that could lead to even more destructive blows from her opponent, but that would be a perk. "I will give it my best, and you do so too. Don't die after one blow. I promise the same." She winks then she cracks her knuckles. It is so underwhelming. Like the little click of a safe when you get a number right, and one of the locks opens up.

She is ready now. All that's left is to know who is going to strike first. Eden knows this is going to be amazing.

[KONGOU]
"Well Fee Fi FO Fum then." responds the behemoth to Edenlith. He may not be 'from' here but he seems to be media savvy. Quite the pop culture savant for a supernatural strongman from an adjacent realm. The teasing is thus no problem. However a statement does intrigue him here and Kongou's eyes gleam a bit.

"Dying you say? What an interesting premise! I suppose because, even though I am made f different 'stuff' then you..because I am mimicing these forms it's not an impossiblity. However. I sense some strange sorcery at work here that I cannot qute pinpoint. That being said..I do not think death is the worst thing to fear here.."

He beckons for her, lifting a single hand up and using it to call for her as his other fist balls up like a massive boulder. "So let us begin!"

"Impressive." Was she serious, or was she again teasing? Hard to tell.

"Humans die. Of course you're not human, so you might not die. Wrong of me to assume. Just part of the job." She nods her head. "Many worse things then dead here or elsewhere." That's all she says about that.

When he says let begin, she examines him one last time, for a second, before she runs at him, then around him, fast. She then makes illusions of herself that follows her movements, circling him. They all starts striking at him, at different areas, at different angles, trying to hit and hurt him. Then as she slows down, the illusions enters her and disappears, getting ready for what will be coming. Whether she has hit, or not.

"Ho!"

His response is the delight of someone playing a videogame and seeing a boss or an opponent unleash a cool move. It's hardly the reaction one expects from a fighter who might very well be needing to defend his life but Kongou seems truly impressed and intrigued. His massive body braces, huge feet digging a sudden crater into the ground as he presses down and his physique tightens with rolling fiberous movements. His attempts at 'blocking' seem almost akin to attempting to transform himself into the side of a fortress as opposed though one forearm raises and moves in an attempt to try and catch what impacts he can.

Her strikes ultimately thud against the meat of his flesh with impact sounds not unlike someone rapidly pounding a piledriver into a slab of hanging beef but he seems to weather the blow while watching for her and then once she reappears he moves. Surprisingly fast perhaps.

AHis palm hurtles down, fingers splayed open like the legs of a monstrous tarantula. Should he hit, he intends to literally palm her into the ground, crushing her there and embedding her into the dirt of the road in an effort to not only crush her but pin her violently.

That was interesting. Edenlith did hit, yet to no effect at the same time. It's alright. She could be like water and slowly erode a rock little by little. If she lasts long enough anyway.

It wasn't so sure as Edenlith is not used to someone that big, with equally big hands. She tries to move out of the way. But she does not move far enough or fast enough. She is flattened to the ground, feeling it greatly. She is not unconscious, however, even if she is pinned under that hand. One might think she can't attack in this case, but Eden has more tricks up her sleeves. "You give a whole new definition to giving someone a hand!" Then she uses her mind for a different kind of illusion. If it works, it looks like the ground opens under them and then falls into literally hell, fire everywhere, demons, heat. Then the fire catches on the big Kongou, giving the burning sensation. Until the illusion dissolves and they are back where they were all along.

He's not smiling now. He doesn't welcome pain. He's just interested in the abilities of those he faces but..fire is still fire and hot is still hot..let alone hellfire hot. He might even be familiar with such ideas given the implications of what he might be. Either way he recoils with a rumbling "Hrugh!", hand arcing upwards as the flames billow up around them and his sense of footing is lost with the added confusion of the illusion drawing them down deeper into the fury filled infernal pit.

It's enough to free Edenlith for sure but Kongou's reaction is as violent as it is sudden. Even as the illusion fades his monsterous body is lunging forward at her, a gigantic chest pressing forward through the sheets of fire like a semi truck bursting through a wall of flames and attempting to barrel right into her.

She doesn't mind that fire, especially since she made that illusion. She's happy she's causing him some damage however. So if anyone's asked, she damaged Kongou and survived to talk about.

She does not expect him bursting at her so suddenly, and she also gets hit, a hard hit, that makes her roll and slide on the ground. But just like that, she gets back up, her body giving her a boost of healing. It certainly doesn't heal all the damage, but a little bit.

Once on her feet, she grins, even if it's a tired one. "Fuck you hit hard mister. Allow me please!" Then, another illusion, this time, if it works, making Kongou feel like he's in a complete void, nothing exists anymore. "You are nothing, time to perish." Edenlith's voice suddenly close to him. Then she jumps around and stabs at him at different area of his body. It might not do anything more than it did previously. But if she's still standing, she's still hitting.

"Hmmm?"

Kongou inclines his head as he recovers from his previous assault and begins trundling after Edenlith with shuddering seismic footfalls.

And then nothing. The void seems to swallow him whole and his brow furrows in confusion and then frustration. As she speaks his tightens his lips into a mild frown and turns his head in a vain attempt to track down her position while also rumbling. "..I know something of the void, little one. Your illusions..they are..most impressi---whoaaaugh!"

Pain rips into him as Edenlith's stabbing assault begins and sends pain ripping into his being from the force of the blows and killing intent. His body staggers, bracing wildly but lacking any sense of orientation to properly defend himself it does little good. His knees wobble and he nearly buckles right then and there from the sudden shock of pain and fury.

Then his body suddenly begins turning a burning bright red. His eyes blaze white and his muscles begin enlarging, piling on even more absurd slabs of massiveness by the second as his aura crackles visible tendrils of lightning like energy. He grins, teeth full and eyes blazing as his body hulks up towards an even more monstrous and freakish second stage.

"Very good! I knew you would not disappoint so I will use a little more of my stored up power on your behalf!"

His monstrous arm whips around, lunging down then up again as if a massive trebuchet. He swings into the void, a vast uppercut, seemingly aiming for darkness but if it hits..it will indeed send Edenlith sky high.

Now, momentum seems to be on her side. She is not complaining. She is Eden, and she kicks ass. But when Kongou's body is turning red. It does not look like it will be good. At least he's happy too about this.

By the time he does his super uppercut, the void is gone, but Edenlith is watching him and jumps just the right way, dodging the hit that makes her shiver by it's closeness. She might have just felt pleasure from this close call. And right away, she attacks. Normally she would throw her daggers in the air, and trip her opponent. But for this guy, she does things a bit differently. She still throws the karambit knives high up in the air, but instead of trying to trip him, she uses her fists to distract him, hitting his massive chest area after a jump if she can. Giving time for her daggers to hit him perhaps. This is the goal, but it might not work as she expects it to.

It is indeed creative. A good effort to say the least. One that Kongou would applaud! Sadly it seems to bear little to no success on the behemoth. The daggers strike home as do the puches but his flesh merely quakes, rippling from the impact as the weighty masses of his muscles bunch up and then relax, deflecting the efforts backwards while, like some unstoppable beast, he simply continues straightening back up from the follow through caused by his missed upper cut and his glowering eyes refocus on Edenlith as ether crackles about his enlarged form.

"Very good!" he declares before he suddenly lunges forward once more, following the arc of her movements as she rebounds backwards. Monstrous arms cross as he leans in, looming like an incoming wrecking ball and then at the last minute his limbs whip outward with both of his hands swinging out in a violent double handed swat intending on slamming into her with violent earth sundering force.

She enjoys the fight a lot, even if sometimes, she does do any damage. Her opponent is massive and a great fighter. Besides, he hits like a supersonic truck. The best way to support his attacks is to not be there. Although as time passes, Eden's body seems to slowly be healing up.

Luckily for Eden, at the moment, she seems to be in the zone. First, she took care of the uppercut as best as she could. Now, she seems to defy the laws of physics. One moment she is there rebounding backward, in the path of the destructive swat. The next, she isn't there at all.

When she speaks next she's picking up her knives. "You are forcing me to give all I got. You are my best fight!" She sincerely says to him. Her body, still feeling the previous massive hits that connected.

Then, she simply pokes with her knives at Kongou's body. She doesn't expect to do much damage, if at all. Right now, she is going for being a pain in the butt.

"You are doing -very- well!" encourages the gargantua as he begins trundling forward in the aftermath of her avoiding him. Kongou's eyes widen at her bravado as she begins to move forward to engage him. Energy crackles around his enlarged form and then he springs! His leap sends him thundering at her as if he were shot from a cannon. Ether trails behind him as he lowers his shoulder, intent on erupting into her like a freight train that has jumped the rails.

Alas, jumping the rails might be a little to accurate. A miscalculatino of his own strength and her agility occurs and she narrowly avoids him, scraping knives against his fortress like body as he goes sailing past and into a nearby building. It explodes around him, sending a plume of dust and debris billowing upwards like a mushroom cloud and air rushing wildly in and then back out again as the shockwave ripples through the area.

[EDENLITH]
Edenlith gets praised and lucky all at the same time. That's how she feels anyway. She smiles at Kongou, before he does his Miley Cyrus 'Wrecking ball interpretation. She barely has time to hit and get out of the way of this complete disaster. When she sees the building explode, she knows she is very lucky indeed to not have been in his path. She can't help it, and she yells "FATALITY!!!!" Eden never yells, but there is a first for everything.

But she has to continue. She has not won yet. Kongou just destroyed a building, and she finds him so amazing. She just doesn't tell him that, but perhaps her eyes shows him that.

Talking about her eyes, they glow red now, intensely so. Another illusion as she sends Kongou visions of horror to hurt his mind, and then she runs to him and tries to carve into his body, hitting extra hard this time, if she manages to actually work this. It had to end now. She had enough fun with this, and she had a match to win, or lose...

Eden's slashes rip into the debris cloud, seemingly streaking light with the pace and speed of her rapid assaults as they bear down on the goliath as he emerges, looking unscathed, from the ruins of the building.

He staggers, eyes narrowing slightly. It's hard to know what he is seeing but the normally unflappable affable brute seems to have been caught unawares by a horror of his own making, bolstered by the powers of this illusionist. It leaves him open and she seems well capable of taking advantage of it. The momentum of the battle has indeed shifted even if the giant -seems- to not be bearing much outward sign of the damages done to him. There is a grogginess to his movements.

Then, suddenly, his hand lunges forward towards her.. his body having again weathered the assault like an invulnerable suit of armor. His immense palm blots out light as it drags dust and debris with it - reaching for her, grasping..

"I am amazed, truly. I have fought the demon himself in casual conversation and did not feel quite so harried." rumbles Kongou, grinning once again as his mind emerges from the illusionary effects and his body from the debris cloud like some sort of kaiju. He then leaps, dragging Edenlith with him.

Both gain an aerial view of the village as Kongou twists while in mid air and then begins spiraling back downwards in an epic suplex that, upon landing, sends more shockwaves racing outward. More buildings collapse as the wave rolls into them and the ground craters. In truth he still absorbs a bood brunt of that but it doesn't mean he aint bearing her down with crushing weight.

AN instant later and he leaps again, releasing her as he rebounds overhead from the slam to a standing position a short distance away.

[EDENLITH]
She is totally impressed as he doesn't seem affected by her successful attack. She was in awed. Perhaps the damage is internal, but she didn't see anything at the moment. It's enough of a distraction to make too slow to get out of the way of his huge hand. She is grasped pretty hard, and then he tells her something that doesn't quite register at the moment.

Then she in the air with him, and she knows this is going to be nasty. She can only hope her body can stand this and heal the brunt of it. "It's beautiful" She ends up saying as she sees all the destruction from above. What else was there to say.

As he makes her hit the ground with crushing weight, her body actually cracks nastily, and blood comes out of her body. Her eyes show pain, but she actually grins, her teeth tainted red. "Owie. Eden wants a cookie." She might be done for.

But no, after a short moment, for her body to set itself right enough to stand, she does so then she runs, on a bit of shaky legs, but fast, toward Kongou, slashes without stopping and then turns around as she breaks, making a cloud of dust of her own. "Come on, big boy. Two are standing, one must fall!" She keeps grinning.

It would seem her words are prophetic!

The goliath brings his huge body back, arm arcing up and muscles flexing as he prepares for another strike. The area begins to shake and rumble. The air rippling from the sheer pressure of the monster as he grins annd begins to rumble out, "Magniituuuuddeee---"

ANd then she's on him, dashing past him before he can complete the wind up and call. Kongou lets out a loud "Urgh!" as she blazes to a stop. Ether crackles from him and for the first time he does indeed look visibly weathered. Shaken. His back is to her as he wobbles..and then -dooown- he goes. A massive sequoia bending at the knee ad rocking the area violently as he impacts the earth now in a kneeling position with his huge arms falling to his sides. It's almsot like a machine of some sort powering down into a slump as if he's just suddenly out of fighting energy. "Oy!" he rumbles out in surprise and then says, "..Well done!"

[EDENLITH]
She sees him starting to fall, sees him going to a knee, powering down and then the well done from him. She is silent for a moment, then she yells again. "Finish him!" Twice in one night she is loud., Kongou definitely has an impact on her. Then she moves so she can be in front of him. "Thank you for the fun. You're my favorite fighter on the whole Earth. Then she climbs on him. Is she actually going to finish him? She climbs under she is to his face and then gives him a peck of the lips, before jumping in a backward flip away from him. "Rematch, one of these days. I will hunt you down if you forget." With that, she prepares to go, still bleeding, but her body picking up the pace with th healing. It always heals better once she's no longer fighting.

You would think he hadn't just been in a violent, earth shattering, bloody fight. Kongou simply looms there like some one has turned his power settings from active to idle. However, he does not resist her attempt to climb him nor does he recoil from the kiss. Perhaps he can't. He doesn't seem to mind or care however though he blinks in surprise as she begins to take her leave.

"How intriguing! I have never been kissed after a fight before. Earth girls are truly confusingly interesting after all." he rumbles as she makes her way from the combat zone.
