Match of the Millennium

Description: A Rising Star battle ensues when an angry Yakuza enforcer decides to come to a popular Chinatown restaraunt and start talking smack, prompting Yun to take him on in the streets outside.

[YUN]
The Rising Star Tournament has come to Genhanten. There are banners and posters and the whole nine yards. Could have something to do with the fact that Yun Lee has entered the tournament. Of course he's entered the tournament. He's been trying to make a name for himself on the fighting circuit and this is another opportunity to do just that.

Also, it'll give him something to lord over Yang when he wins the whole thing. So: Bonus.

Genhanten is, at the moment, filled with patrons that are getting their chow down on and it's all pretty tame and relative at the moment. Yun is serving up some noodles and other delicious food stuffs but with less of his normal flair than usual. There's a slight limp to his movements as he travels between tables, taking orders and winking at the cute girls that linger around when he's on shift. Then again, when is he not on shift?!

Yun reaches up to adjust the 'Rising Star' baseball cap he's got on his head for promotional purposes and leans against the counter for a quick break.

The doors to the restaraunt open and several gentlemen wearing a mixture of suits and casual wear enter the restaraunt.

Emerging from the center of them is Okuno. Rather than his usual suit, he's wearing an orange puffer jacket for the still-cool weather, black jeans, and flashy black and yellow Onitsuka Tiger basketball shoes. Of course, the gold chain and aviators are still there. He scowls as he scans the restaraunt, before fixating on Yun at the bar counter. He approaches, his boys trailing behind him.

"Hey. You Yun?" he asks.

[YUN]
The break is over faster than he'd like because Yun is turning his attention to the crowd that's approached him and an eyebrow raises without too much of a hesitation. In fact, while it only takes him a moment to realize that there's some sort of collective gangness or something going on with this group, Yun just kind of smirks and tilts his head to the side.

"Depends." Yun pushes away from the counter and stands up straighter. "You askin' for yourself?" And here's where Yun probably gets himself into more trouble than he probably wants to be in but whatever.

"Or you got a sister?"

[OKUNO]
Okuno stares at Yun. "I don't got a sister. You're a funny guy, huh? How about we find somewhere to get down to this Rising Star shit, funny man, unless you don't care I bust up your restaraunt. They servin' cat tonight?"

[YUN]
"..."

Yun can sense Yang in the kitchen about to start some stuff and holds up a hand to keep his brother from coming out front. His eyes are on Okuno as he steps out from behind the bar counter. "Why don't you take your little boy band outside? Gen hates it when I get blood all over the floors." Yun narrows his eyes a bit to make sure that Okuno knows what's up. He even starts peeling himself out of his apron and tosses it over to one of the cute girls from earlier.

[OKUNO]
Okuno smirks and snaps his fingers. The Yakuza boys all file outside to the front of the restaraunt. "Aniki, I dunno about this," One of the Yakuza thugs whispers. "I've heard a lot of stuff about this Gen guy...he's supposed to be legit, and these guys are his students?" Okuno scowls and grabs the thug by his collar. "Shut up. I don't give a damn who trained what. I'm gonna kick this dude's ass and your gonna watch me." He shoves the mook back as they take their place for spectating. At least, the thugs will buy drinks.

Okuno takes off the jacket, revealing the wifebeater shirt he has underneath. With his back to Yun, the elaborate irezumi tattoo on his back is partially visible, but just the edges of the phoenix. He turns to Yun. "I hope waiting tables doesn't mean your soft. Bring it!" He gestures for Yun to come at him.

"I gotta' do something between kicking ass and taking names." Yun makes sure to say this with his confident smirk plastered on his face. He's definitely going to have to do more in the kitchen because people keep coming at him about this table waiting that he's doing and that's not fair! Nobody rags on Yang for it!

Yang also doesn't talk trash about people so.

Yun ends up sliding into a fighting stance that almost looks like it may have belonged to Gen at one point in time. Maybe there's some truth to those rumors after all. But it's only there for a moment before Yun takes off in a quick spring towards Okuno. "Oh, it's already been broughten!" Not the best response to that bring it taunt but Yun's only quipping to lead the way for his quick side kick that he aims in Okuno's direction!

Okuno THINKS he's ready.

He is proven wrong when Yun's side kick slams into his rib cage. "GWAH!" His mouth flies open and spit is shot from his lip - he is quickly launched sideways and barely keeps from falling over as he recovers. He gasps, eyes bulging comically as the sheer force of the impact sends pain signals to his brain. He's already sweating.

However, pain just makes him even angrier. "Asshole! The only 'Rising Star' in this town is ME!" he yells. He then assumes his stance: fists raised, one leg slightly raised. Almost like a muay thai stance. It's about the only thing that seperates him from a common thug, and barely.

He exhales, then goes in. He moves as if he's about to throw a punch...but it's a feint; his back leg snaps out to strike Yun's midsection instead.

Yun's all smiles as he turns his attention towards the thug band of spectators. He actually gives them one of those: 'is this your king' looks before turning his attention back to Okuno. And it's a moment too late because when he sees the Muay Thug coming in, Yun falls for the punch feint completely and ends up getting his midsection rocked viciously by that aggressive back leg.

Yun doubles over and stumbles backward unintentionally giving himself some room to breathe. Not that breathing is that simple considering how painful that kick was.

"Alright, see, now you're pissin' me off." Yun straightens himself up and reforms himself into his Kempo stance. "Time to go to work."

Yun moves quickly, rushing Okuno and reaching out to grab him by the shoulders. The next moment comes in the form of trying to plant his foot into Okuno's chest to kick off into a stylish backflip!

Okuno is grabbed by the shoulders. His lip twitches, as he knows what he must do.

Before the kick comes, Okuno's body suddenly ignites with a fiery chi, as he performs a jumping headbutt while wreathed in chin flames, slamming right into Yun's chest. The kick still hits him, of course, in the gut, but he powers through the blow to land close to his opponent.

"You don't know 'pissed off' 'till you met me. I ain't your everyday thug!" he claims triumphantly. "COME ON!"

[YUN]
Yun's not ready for the explosion of fiery chi that comes in his direction via headbutts and such viciousness. Which is why when he's rocked backwards and lit aflame there's nothing but anger and pain coursing through the face of Yun.

"Pullin' out all your stops early, huh?" Yun smirks as he pats out the flames on the front of his modern gi. "There's a dirty joke in there somewhere but I ain't gonna' say it!"

Yun takes this next moment to stomp forward and shove both of his palms out in a stiff striking motion toward Okuno's chest.

As Yun shoves his palms, Okuno pulls his arms close to block the blow, though the impact will undoubtebly leave a bruise. "Rgh!"

His response is immediate, as he tries to grab Yun by the collar. He uses his other arm to slam his elbow into the side of Yun's head twice, before knocking him to the ground. "How's that pavement taste, bastard??"

"Like regret. Definitely regret."

Yun's in pain and it's showing. There's blood leaking from his head and his face and he doesn't seem to be capable of doing too much movement. Not after getting himself so viciously and violently elbowed.

Yun spits some blood right onto that tasty pavement as he rises from his position on the ground and hurls a mighty fist in Okuno's direction. His emotions seem to be taking over as he lacks any witty quip along with that punch attempt.

Okuno tries to slip past Yun's punch, but misjudges and pays for it dearly - Yun's punch collides directly with his cheek and knocks the shades right off him, sending him spiralling downwards onto the pavement so hard he bounces. He groans, already feeling the side of his face swell - a big bruise will soon follow. He shudders, and forces himself to stand, a look of fresh fury on his face. It's what drives him, after all.

He moves in close to Yun, and unleashes his signature move: a powerful series of headbutts, first a slam from the left side, then the right side, then two directly forward - Okuno's skull being so thick as to make for an effective weapon!

Yun is not even ready for the fact that this dude is about to straight up headbutt his face off. Yun's head gets rocked repeatedly by Okuno's viciousness and by the time that's all said and done, there's blood practically pouring from Yun's face. He stumbles backward and whatever smile he was wearing before is gone. Well, it left earlier when he tasted the pavement in regret but this just makes it even more gone.

Somehow, Yun manages to keep his hat on throughout that whole ordeal, even if there's blood staining it now. Frown.

Yun tries to get his vision to stabilize and focuses his attention on the Okuno in the middle of the fuzzier Okunos. He snarls through a bloody mouth and leaps at Okuno, fist-first aiming to see if he can't knock some sense out of him!

Okuno laughs. "How'd that feel, huh?" Hurting his opponent like that was satisfying. It made him feel like a real king of these streets. Unfortunately, such a high is temporary, and experienced fighters know not to let such a rush get to their heads until the fight's over. Okuno is far from an experienced fighter.

Such as when Yun rushes in with the Yakuza's guard completely open, his fist smashing directly into the center of Okuno's face, right on the nose. Blood immediately bursts out of his ruined schnoz, sending him off his feet and flying backwards. He hits the pavement hard, dazed and staring up at the cieling while his fellow thugs all gape. They hardly even saw Yun move.

Yet, still, Okuno rises with a groan. Sweat covers his face and body, blood runs down his front, and he can barely stand straight. In his frenzy, he used up too much energy. He fixates on his opponent, gritting his teeth as his anger makes him forget about dodging and just go straight to the beating. He rushes in, attempting to grab Yun by the shirt and lift him up, deliver three hard knee strikes to the gut, then toss him backwards. "RRAAAAGH!"

COMBATSYS: Yun interrupts Combo Grapple from Okuno with You Hou.

Yun is struggling to stay on his feet as blood pours from his face and his body has been put through it this fight. He grunts as he steps back from his attack and can barely get his hands up for defensive motions in the midst of the next onslaught coming from Okuno.

Yun gets snatched up by the gi and he can't even do anything as his gut gets drilled by punch after punch after punch! Those strikes only force Yun to cough up more blood and in the next moment, when Okuno starts to toss Yun backward, the White Dragon of the Wind and Clouds manages to get his feet down underneath him and onto the pavement.

"Hope you like this!"

Yun's quip leads the way for the kung fu using teenager to lash his arm upward into Okuno's face! Yun pivots to slam an elbow into Okuno's chest and finishes that rotation with a backward shoulder charge to send Okuno into the air!

"Get ready!"

As Okuno falls, Yun raises his fist up beneath the falling body to let the Yakuza thug feel his fist of fury!

[OKUNO]
Okuno's head jerks back as more spit flies from the arm hitting his jaw. "Gwah!" The elbow hits him in the middle of his ribcage enough to rattle his torso, and the shoulder check launches him skyward. Still processing the first hit, Okuno falls like a ragdoll...just as Yun's final punch slams into his back. "Uwaaaagh!"

He falls limply onto the ground face down. After a few seconds, Okuno moves! He struggles to rise, his redded face glowering with hot rage...but then his eyes roll up into his head and he falls unconscious. "A-Aniki!" one of the junior Yakuza shouts. The rest of the thugs move to hastily grab him and take him away.

COMBATSYS: Okuno takes no action.

Yun drops down to a single knee and pays attention to everything that goes down around the Yakuza warrior and this henchmen. Yun keeps his fists at the ready, just in case some stuff goes down because of what just happened but he doesn't approach or even try to provoke. He got his ass handed to him and he's not about to push his luck.

"Started from the bottom..." Yun starts bopping his head to the Drake track that's playing in his head as he groans and limps his way back toward Genhanten. There are some cute girls that are likely going to want to nurse him back to health.
