World Warrior 2018 - World Warrior Qualifiers R3 - Urien vs Adelheid
[Toggle Names]Description: Urien challenges Adelheid in lieu of Rugal. A philosophical battle of what's the true meaning of power begins. Is it one's potential, or what one faces at any given moment...?
[ADELHEID]
The Sky Noah. Counterpart to the Black Noah, the aircraft carrier that sails the seven seas, bearing its dark passenger, the Lord of War. While that lofty ship is known and reviled for being the primary, mobile fortress headquarters for the 'R' organization, the Sky Noah is fairly new and unknown. But no less impressive.
It is a huge airship, unfettered by land or sea, able to roam where it wills, carried on the winds of fate at the whims of its twin masters, Rose and Adelheid Bernstein. And now, this dark ship casts its shadow over land, passing silently through the sky far overhead like the looming shadow of mortality over the lesser souls below. From the bridge, Adelheid, the Prince of War, observes, silent and stoic.
Adelheid is not of the same nature as his father. He is an introspective young man with a calm, if pensive demeanor, in contrast to the raging brutality that is the hallmark of the head of the Bernstein family. In fact, when comparing the two, one would wonder what connection the pair might have, as Adelheid is a creature of delicate, effeminate appearance, unlike his father's rugged hypermasculinity. It is only when Adelheid joins in combat that the familial relation becomes clear by virtue of his technique, prowess, and love for the fight. In those moments, he is the spitting image of his father. And with his beloved's encouragement, Adelheid now intends to show the world that uncanny resemblance through the World Warrior Tournament.
So here he is, flying somewhere over eastern Europe in this marvel of technology and symbol of incredible, shameful wealth, with his WW wristband linked to the on board computers and tracking systems, seeking out new challenges. He feels assured of his place among the top 16, but he also will not jeopardize it, either. His intention is simple. Win or lose, he is seeking out those who fill out the highest ranks among the qualifiers. Somewhere around here is his next challenge.
[URIEN]
One individual in question does appear to be closest on the radar; a man who's climbed rather high since the last week. Urien; a mysterious warrior, known to be in the Illuminati as the 2nd in command despite an utter lack of physical proof. Rumors and whispers of certain sorts have great weight, and the Bernsteins are amongst the best informed alive. His true battle strength is not precisely known, but he demolished both Valkenhayn and Robert, two people of merit. And two people that Adelheid might find worthy of defeating himself. There is little coincidence that the ship is heading in that direction... readings and monitors indicate the man is coming in respectable speed himself. A sleek black helicopter, unmarked and unregistered even on the electronic analysis of the Sky Noah, bears the resounding ring of a World Warrior watch. Presuming it's not shut down, it would whirl over the deck of the Sky Noah and a massive figure leap out; dressed in a fine grey suit with crimson tie and white undershirt, the tanned and adonic form of Urien would impact the deck with a hearty thump. Assuredly attractive, with both a physique and height to dwarf even Adelheid's father, he's young -- early twenties, at most. And a single gem is embedded into his forehead. One hand goes to his pocket, the other adjusting his tie, as the helicopter sweeps away. A brief analysis confirms that Urien's overall battle potential is slightly less than Adelheid... but also that he is greatly suppressed, some unknown amount hidden within. He's doubtlessly superior, but to what degree is entirely unknown. "Hrrmph... The leader of R' ignored me...! Pathetic!! His child will make an appropriate sacrifice, then...!"
[ADELHEID]
"My father is a very busy man," Adelheid's voice comes across the PA speakers that are mounted to various places across the deck, making that delicate and almost lyrical voice seem to be coming from all directions at once. "Please accept my apology on his behalf. I will gladly be your opponent in his stead."
With that, a door to the deckhouse slides open, revealing the form of the Bernstein heir. He is dressed for battle, all in black, which stands in contrast to the milky white flesh that covers his supple form. German tanker style boots, with straps wound around them support his feet, with a pair of pleated and creased black slacks enveloping his legs loosely. Around his waist, a cumerbund fashioned out of a series of leather belts, with two golden chains draping around each hip. A pair of suspenders rise over his shoulders, and a sleeveless black shirt clings to his lithesome form like a second skin.
The platinum haired youth steps out onto the deck, with all the grace and poise of nobility, and yet, with the same mannerisms of a predator. He is a regal lion, or perhaps a stalking tiger. As he looks over the tanned form of the other warrior, the light of sun reflects in his eyes, causing them to give off an alizarin glow. His lips, soft and pliant, curl upwards at the corners into a saccharine sweet smile.
"So, I must ask what interest that organization has in this tournament," he questions, a slender brow rising. He speaks casually, his nature friendly and even warm and inviting, as he adjusts the reinforced black and gold gauntlets that cover his porcelain hands. "Or are you simply trying to prove something to yourself?"
[URIEN]
"Whatever. This is a waste of my time." Urien growls heavily. His suit seems unique; incredibly finely tailored, and made of some manner of armored, reinforced cloth. It doesn't seem liable to offer any meaningful protection, but what information there is on this fighter indicates he has a rather explosive transformation. Standard clothing would merely be disintegrated, so it seems a solution that doesn't involve constantly battling in a thong has been found. When the prodigal son slithers out, there might be a unique expression to greet him. Disrespect, arrogance, ego. He's looking down on the young man. They are only a half decade apart in age, but something has definitely got to this man's head. "What organization?" Urien comments, with a grin. As the president and head of research and development, he has amongst the greatest potential influence in the world from politics to economy, even if he has done little to personally use it yet. "I'm here for one reason only. To prove I'm this world's emperor. And crush everyone beneath my heel. And what about you...? You already know you're nothing compared to your father. Hoping to impress him with a decent showing?" He brings up a forearm and taps at his watch. "Although based on your 'fight' with him, I doubt that's the case...!"
[ADELHEID]
If Adelheid is put off by Urien's words, taunting or otherwise, it doesn't show on his face. He still wears that faint, serene smile that barely crests his lips. The denial of his organization does elicit a scoff from the heir of 'R', and those crimson pools swivel upwards, rolling in their sockets. Alright. We can play this game.
"To prove you're... Oh," Adelheid replies. "That is ridiculous. You will never surpass my father."
He steps forward, sweeping one arm loosely across his waist, and pressing his open palm to his own chest. One foot sweeps behind the other, toe loosely pressed to the ground, and he bows, ever so slightly at the waist. His eyes close, and his expression is almost demure. "If you think that my fight with my father is anything other than an indication of his overwhelming, all consuming power, then please face me."
[URIEN]
"Interesting statement, given he refused to challenge me." Urien growls, rolling his neck in a slow circle. When Adelheid slips forward, graceful and fine of etiquette even in front of this behavior, the hulking figure just strides a couple steps before flexing his fingers. "Heh... I saw it only as how *weak* you are. I'll show you that we stand in different worlds... boy...!!"
And then the gem on Urien's forehead erupts into a font of power. Within, the distinct currents of air chi boil, contrasted by the density of earth. This is not natural, even remotely. Through some method, he has been turned into a conduit of conflicting power... but the result is incredible. His body floods instantly with far more energy than it can use, roaring upwards in a powerful aura of deep purple laced with lightning. Durability and power begin to shoot higher and higher, his weight doubling multiple times, as a roar bellows out. Dense bronze ripples over his visible skin, hair turning white before with a crack it dispels.
He's certainly not weak. Given Adelheid's fully capable of measuring the best of the world, this man is definitely more durable than Rugal, and his combative power may not be significantly less. But... he's slow. That massive body cannot react well to incoming threats, and there's no genius. Rugal is like an orchestra of mastery and technique. This is... a dull echo. Instincts and technique ingrained but never embraced, fueled instead by pride and aggression. If anything, it seems a waste. It makes it clear the reason he stands this low is entirely his own faults, and not that impressive form he wears like armor.
"Come on, then...! I'll crush you, insect!!"

[ADELHEID]
"Mm."
It's the only sound Adelheid makes as he watches that marvelous transformation that Urien performs. His gaze sweeps over the crude beast of a man before him, noting the way that the gem flares, and it seems to be the source of this unnatural power of harnessing energy from opposing forces. He looks disappointed. In fact, he goes so far as to say, "I might be stronger, if only I had some outside force to empower me. Ah well. I suppose I will accept your claim of weakness, if it means that I gain my strength by my own merit, and not some parlor trick."
Adelheid notes the weaknesses of this man. His temper is unchecked. Everything about the world makes him angry. He's slow. He's out of touch with himself and his true spirit. He's a narcissist, and worse yet, he's one who finds himself lacking. This is all stored away, noted for Adelheid to consider using to his advantage. For now, a simple test.
The near albino youth lurches forward, his hair whipping back as he rockets at Urien with a breakneck pace. His booted feet pound the pavement under them with a deathmetal tempo, until he slides to a stop just before the larger fighter. His body twists, hip snapping forward, pivoting on the ball of one foot as he sends the other swinging low and wide at Urien's forward facing shin, looking to unbalance him. That foot carries through, his leg sliding in an inward tracing arc to rise far overhead, where the Prince of War is left poised in the splits, balanced on one foot. But he doesn't pause in that pose. His raised foot comes crashing down, heel first, with all the might and power of a sledgehammer, aimed squarely at the top of Urien's head.

"...!!"
Well. If Adelheid wished to enrage Urien, he has managed brilliantly. The comment makes his eyes widen, teeth snapping shut and fists clenching. "You speak as if you don't have the blood of Rugal in your veins...!! You think it's wrong to take power, wherever the source?! That's true weakness!! Because in the end... /boy/..."
A single footstep forward is managed. Both of his arms flit outwards, attempting absolutely no guard. In the face of such brilliant motion, Adelheid honing his entire body like a razorwire, it meets the grim mountain of Urien's force. The kick rebounds off his shin, feeling like trying to strike iron -- right now, the hulking man weighs multiple tons. The heel descends and strikes true, but Urien's entire body merely went rigid. Bronze flowed out at the point of impact, darkening further, reinforcing his defensive might enough that there's barely a red mark.
And he was not slowed at all, in fact turning the recovery into a vulnerability, aiming to grip Adelheid by his waifish hips and then hauling him upright to invert. "ALL THAT MATTERS IS VICTORY!!" Intent on then sitting down to slam his opponent's back upon the deck with incredible force. His motion is strong, surprisingly fast, those heavy muscles giving him excellent inertia. His skill is hardly poor, even if not even comparable to Adelheid himself... the wall here is exactly that, the sheer level of physical and auric potency this transformation granted.
"Are you going to feel better losing, if it's because I'm using this to destroy you?!"

"The blood is it," Adelheid retorts, snapping his fingers, even as he shakes his foot out, having kicked a thing seemingly made of metal as hard as he could. "I have inherited strength through birth right. It is there for my taking, gifted to me as a legacy passed down through my line. I need only strive to take it, and live up to it. This is the way that the world is supposed to work."
Adelheid swiftly ducks back, feet skip-stepping across the pavement, carrying him out of the reach of Urien's baleful intentions. Having narrowly avoided that grasp, Adelheid adjusts his perceptions of his foe's speed internally.
"Meanwhile, you seek to circumvent the laws of Divine mandate. You use gimmicks to give you strength where /you have none/!"
Adelheid's eyes narrow, as he takes in the full extent of Urien's measure, analyzing his movements, his attributes. Breaking each aspect of this strange and surly warrior down into its component parts and reassembling him within his mind. Picking out the flaws in his seemingly impenetrable defenses.
"Victory is everything, but you need strength to achieve it. What happens when your toys no longer work? If I were a more br--If I were my father, I'd have ripped that gem right out of your head and made you choke on it by now. You should be thankful that he found your issued challenge beneath him."
COMBATSYS: Adelheid calculates his next move.

[URIEN]
Even though Adelheid's kick was hardly weak, it would take a couple dozen of them to bring down this titan, and that is likely not a luxury of time he'll be afforded. There's no doubt that the iron grip would have been a painful journey, after all. "Hah... hahaha!! All I hear is the barking of a dog!!" Rising back up to his full height, Urien slowly cracks his fingers one by one, sounding oddly dull and mechanic. "Dozens of people were purged beneath me. Genetic modification, tests, training...!! I excelled in everything!!" From a purely physical standpoint, this is true. It was not due to having a greater vessel that Gill was selected the heir. Urien's flaws are something else entirely. "I have a body born to be emperor. Do you think your slim, pathetic frame could hold even a fraction of what I have, even if it was given to you?" Spread arms definitely show that there's a massive strain within Urien. It would certainly kill even many able warriors ten times over.
"I earned this power by surviving it. And strength is the one thing I have in spades. ...Tch. I'll make sure to tell your father how disappointing this was when we meet in the tournament!!"
And then Urien bursts forward, the roll of incredible mass through his loafered foot risking a small dent in the roof of the Sky Noah. Arms pump as he crosses the path between himself and Adelheid in a heartbeat. Twisting to then rush forward with his shoulder, aiming to slam it upon the youth's chest with the force of a train. A moment later his arm raises, twisting into a standing clothesline intent on slamming him down before him, mad laughter ringing heavily in the air!
COMBATSYS: Adelheid instinctively dodges Urien's Chariot Tackle.

[ADELHEID]
"All of that work put into your body, and they thought so little of your mind," Adelheid taunts. It seems that, if he can continue to goad Urien, stoking his anger, the ironclad warrior will continue to take the bait, and never find his footing. Adelheid's delicate features light up with a small smile. "I have within me the true blood of conquerors and emperors. I do not need to be genetically modified, or to survive artificial implants in order to grow stronger. In the end, these things limit you. You can only be as strong as the perimeters set for you by those who gave you your gifts."
Again, Urien comes in for the attack only to find his target an elusive one. Adelheid instinctually weaves to the side, ducking under the clothesline intended to crush him to the ground underfoot. Any who might have been watching, and keeping up with Adelheid's recent activities might recognize the way he moved in that last moment. It was the deft and sure movement of a matador, and the way Adelheid poises as of to thrust a sword, it becomes a sort of eerily mirrored image of the herald of Strolheim, Blood.
With Urien's movements carrying him past the deft warrior, Adelheid makes an attempt to capitalize on his vunerability with a flanking attack. He dashes in, and reaches out with one of those elegantly sculpted hands, and attempting to curl his tapered digits around Urien's throat.
If this gambit is successful, Adelheid will follow through with his left fist, reinforced by the brass plating depicting the sigil of 'R' on it's back, as well as studded knuckles, driving in to Urien's face. Without even a hesitation, the right fist follows through as well, launching a powerful straight that utilizes far more power than the youth's lithesome form would suggest that it is capable of. Despite his seemingly small size, Adelheid is something of a powerhouse, much like his father.
COMBATSYS: Urien blocks Adelheid's A. Kunst Drei.

Ah, there it is. True rage. Such an easy thing to stoke; prodding the proverbial hornet's nest. Teeth grit harder, the sound nearly audible even from such a distance, as fists curl tightly in the wake of the slender man leaping away. It's not surprising -- for as quick as those assaults are, they are forecast clearly, and the nuances of his rampage dulled heavily by the effectiveness of the taunts. The fist finds his throat, Urien's lumbersome body still in the midst of recovering. Yet once more his skin surges, face seeming to sharp as steel-like growths ripple in a crack of lightning. The blow strikes his cheek, sending flint-like shards flying, before the powerful straight thumps right into his open palm. All of that momentum is stopped dead, force dispersing behind, not sufficient to budge the monolithic man at all. "Hahaha... is this all you got?" His cheek armor crumbles away, tongue probing the spot lightly scuffed. "You'll break your fists before you break ME!!" His right arm extends, fist closed as Urien then grasps his elbow. A whirl of power wells up at the end, intense magnetism bolstered by electricity, forming a whirling orb of energy that he then sends hurtling forward, aimed at Adelheid's chest. "This will be delicious... watching your expression turn to horror at your own weakness... unable to take me down, until my fingers crush you... hahaha!!"

[ADELHEID]
While Urien is sheathed in a seemingly impenetrable metal sheathing that works to dampen and nullify all attacks levied on him, so, too, is Adelheid seemingly possessed of an equal armor to the raging spite that spews forth from Urien's lips. As the taller, bedazzled fighter froths and hisses and taunts, the pale skinned Prince of War only wears this faint, amused smile that flirts at the corners of his lips. Perhaps, if anything, that look alone is infuriating.
As Urien throws his fist forward and braces his arm like he's prepping a gun, Adelheid releases a quiet "Hrmph" sound from behind his smiling lips. Energy forms, crackling and sparking, around Urien's fist and launches, but Adelheid is swift. He reaches out with one hand, as if he might be Neo stopping bullets. Instead, a swirling wall of roiling, bubbling blue and white chi is formed before him, swirling into existence and acting as a shield. Urien's shot collides in a shower of sparks and with the barrier. It doesn't end there, however, as the original shot suddenly redirects its momentum and is sent hurtling back in Urien's direction!

"That's right... that's the look you won't be wearing for long." Urien growls, as the whirling wall of energy flickers into being and launches the assault backwards. In response to the leveraged ball of energy hurtling back towards him, his own hand extends, fingers spreading to catch it. For a few moments it spins, then fingers clench and the power -- further infused by Adelheid's own shield -- boils back into his body. Clearly rejuvenating his already less than injured body; even the one mark made earlier on has almost entirely faded now, after an introductory clash that's anything but brief. "TOO WEAK!!" Urien then lunges forward, twisting down before rising into a sharp blow with his elbow, snarling loudly as he attempts to drive it into the Bernstein prodigy's solar plexus with that same relentless aggression. It's not trivial to escape him... and at this rate, Urien's nearly recovering as fast as damage is being slung his way!
COMBATSYS: Adelheid interrupts Aggressive Strike from Urien with A. Kunst Eins.

[ADELHEID]
"You... You really just called your own energy attack too weak?" Adelheid asks, looking, for a moment, truly perplexed. "I mean... you... you do realize that is what you were saying, do you not? Or is your brain as dense as your flesh?"
He laughs, then, as Urien launches his elbow. Adelheid doesn't attempt to avoid the blow. Instead, he accepts it, his body giving way to the force and collapsing around it to mitigate the damage it might cause, and protecting the air in his lungs from being forcefully expelled. He redirects the force of that momentum, using it as he twists and almost looks like he might be falling to the ground.
However, this is a bit of a deception, as Adelheid's foot lashes out with the speed of a striking serpent, sent straight up to the underside of Urien's chin as the Bernstein heir does a high, splitting sidekick.
[URIEN]
"Not my attack... /YOU./" Urien clarifies, his elbow thumping home. He is already grinning in success when that foot strikes out and slams into Urien's chin. He's still incredibly heavy and tough, and his expression is as much pained as surprised when he takes a single step backwards. His jaw slowly rolls, spitting a small amount of blood to the side. "Tch." he comments, simply. "How ironic. You speak so much of the virtues of technique... yet you've failed to acquire enough power to surpass someone like me. Who you claim to me so MIDDLING!!" Urien then slithers forward, before fingers expand to strike out like a vice, attempting to capture Adelheid by the throat and then heft him upwards into a brutal strangle. "You can't evade me forever... are you winded yet, boy? You won't beat me simply escaping every blow. Show me what you got!!"
COMBATSYS: Urien successfully hits Adelheid with Destroy Claw.

Adelheid rises out of his kick, just into Urien's grasp. Lifted up off of his feet, Adelheid clutches at Urien's wrist, and his jaw clenches tight. But, he just looks at the other with those defiant, crimson eyes. And he grins.
"I said that I have potential, to grow stronger based on nothing but my own will to power. While your power is dictated and set by your masters," He says, even as he pries the other man's fingers from his throat and manages to escape that stranglehold.
He leaps back, putting distance between himself and the raging fighter. Still, he seems unperturbed, though he does gulp down deep, heavy breaths, working dutifully to control them and regain his composure.
COMBATSYS: Adelheid gains composure.

Complacent in his grasp of Adelheid, the sudden struggle and yank works, fingers clamping shut on the open air as he falls below. Ceding the initiative to the hulking man once more; although his response is fairly simplistic, by all accounts. "I have no master... That is what I am here to prove!!" For the first time, technique is visible. Expertly moulded energy, flowing actions, something actually dangerous brought to bear as he hefts up both hands, eyes snapping open with a grin. "AEGIS REFLECTOR!!" One of the ancient forbidden techniques that even Rugal has yet to steal, a perfect circle of dense magnetism reinforced by lightning maneuvers to erupt behind Adelheid. Intent on electrocuting him for a few brutal moments, before launching him towards Urien bodily, whether he might like it or not...!!
COMBATSYS: Urien knocks away Adelheid with Aegis Reflector+.

Adelheid 1/------=/=======|=======\-------\0 Urien
[ADELHEID]
Adelheid is, admittedly, surprised when Urien unleashes the attack behind him, rather than in front of him. It is a cunning tactic and one that he might have considered beyond the ability of the raging brute to muster. The magnetic force is enough to pull the young Bernstein back, drawing him in to that electrical vortex and sending a shock through him. He grits his teeth, every muscle straining in his body, trembling and convulsing.
When he's shot forward, however, Urien may notice a trailing gleam of ruby light from the young boy's eyes. He might see the clenched and strained rictus on the boy's face. He most certainly will notice the corrupt and roiling energy that trails from his hand, crimson and black, like some sort of tainted blood that just smears across the invisible fabric of reality, beads up and dissipates into nothingness.
That hand lashes out, attempting to capture Urien by the throat.
Should he find his target, his touch is found to be corrosive. That crimson energy burns and withers and melts away at flesh and metal alike. Adelheid will push through, dragging Urien along behind him as he makes a mad dash for the deckhouse with his prey in tow. At the last moment, Adelheid will lurch with all of his might to slam Urien into the wall, leaving the steel of it dented and groaning loudly. With a menacing laugh that bubbles up from deep within his chest, the wild eyed Adelheid will finish the move with the sudden and overwhelming eruption of a pillar of unholy light that explodes from the ground and rises up into the sky to pierce the clouds. The pillar of light shrieks like the innumerable souls of the dead and the damned, and within it, the image of a skull rises, unleashing a hellish scream before racing up the column in a spectral blur.
COMBATSYS: Urien barely endures Adelheid's G. Sklaven.

[URIEN]
Ah; this is something interesting. Urien is privy to a keen sense of surrounding energies, acting as the center for multiple elemental forces at once. A darker well, something twisted and ominous, as he's grasped by the throat. Genuine pain ripples through him for the first time as he tries to brace himself and power through to no avail; yet grudgingly he's yanked along, slamming into the metal with a dull grunt. This is... something else. Something not unlike Urien's own gift. An exterior wellspring of power, the source of which almost makes him shiver.
Through the great boiling geyser of power, Urien suddenly bursts forward, entire body electrified as he laughs. "So you were hiding something of your own?!" He doesn't sound upset or even judgemental, at best amused. Magnifying his inertia, he then hurtles forward to slam his shoulder towards Adelheid's chest. Electricity roars through him in the motion, as he aims to slam himself into Rugal's heir with raw force. Only to twist around and leverage his other shoulder into a second, upwards slam, little more than the most basic of physics -- a great, amplified meteor aiming to transfer a motion that might plow through a steel wall, and leaving his frame still amped up and flickering with electricity afterwards. "I felt that one...!!"
COMBATSYS: Urien knocks away Adelheid with Tyrant's Blaze.

[ADELHEID]
Adelheid doesn't respond to the comment, be it a compliment or an insult. There is only that mad stare, his eyes as wide as saucers, and his grin stretched to proportions that do not look comfortable. He's lost, in this moment, to the deep seated rage that is fueled by the cursed blood in his veins. Another legacy "gifted" to him by his infamous father.
And because of that descent into madness, brief as it is, Adelheid is left open. The frenzied fighter tries to leap to the side, but he's swept up in the shoulder slam, which knocks him back, leaving him airbound and helpless against the next similar slam. Adelheid is rocketed back, crashing down onto the deck on his back and skidding to a halt.
He rolls with the kinetic momentum, tucking his knees up and somersaulting on to his feet. for what it is, it's all very fluid and graceful, with no pauses for recovery. Not even when he gets to his feet, as one leg sweeps forward continuing the movement, and kicking up high overhead with a spark of deadly wind based chi that tears through the paved deck of the Sky Noah, churning and racing towards Urien.

[URIEN]
It is good that Adelheid is not attempting witty banter or to try and fall back. He would rise to his feet and find the massive form of Urien rushing forward once more, still surging with electricity that seems to make his body measurably faster; the sweeping kick is met by him twisting and thrusting his arm slightly upwards, energy crackling to life as he braces his elbow and fires out another, quicker burst of energy. It strikes through the whirl of wind; magnetism granting his the advantage in this conflict, the remnants whirling out to impact Adelheid before he lands. "Heh...! You're not bad for someone your age... maybe you'll beat me in another five years!!"
[ADELHEID]
Adelheid wasn't waiting for his attack to even land before he's following it up. He dashes forward after the Reppuken wave, and slides like he's stealing third. Suddenly, as the burst of energy disperses his bladed wind attack, Adelheid lifts from the ground. His leg sweeps in a wide, outward arc. His booted foot flares with that same deadly, shimmering wave of energy that he just launched, though this time, it creates a nearly full circular scythe.
Urien's attack is reflected off of that crescent moon shaped wave, and sent hurtling back at him as Adelheid descends back to the tarmac underfoot and moves in to carry forth his advance. "Hrm. Five years isn't so bad. Though, I have already learned a great deal from this battle. I will keep growing stronger and stronger with every enemy I face, win or lose."

[URIEN]
There's a look of legitimate surprise from Urien when the brutal kick flashes through the air; his assault is amplified singificantly and launched back like a rocket. No time for fancy tricks or gesticulations. Instead, Urien roars and allows his aura to erupt around him. A sudden surge of lightning and dense metallic presence flickers wildly about. The sphere hits it, dispersing into the flow, whirling back into the monstrous figure once more with a slightly uncomfortable wince. He shuts off this outflow quickly, losing little of the repelled assault. His expression makes it clear this was no easy task, however. "Heh...! What weak words. ...Because eventually someone who defeats you..." Suddenly Urien thrusts out his arms, and a great flash of surging energy flies in all directions. "WILL RIP YOUR HEAD OFF!!" The deck rumbles slightly as the wall of lightning and force whirls to overtake Adelheid and send him flying backwards, as heavy armor builds up once more, bulging beneath his suit, making him look craggy and inhuman. Metal chunks with lightning coursing between, bulking himself up even more. "Are you lucky, or unlucky...? Some might avoid breaking you due to your father. Others... might do it for precisely that reason!!"
COMBATSYS: Urien successfully hits Adelheid with Metallic Aura.

[ADELHEID]
Again, Adelheid sees his reflection of Urien's own powers absorbed and only serving to fuel him. It is definitely something that shakes him, judging from the look of consternation that is writ across his delicate countenance. But that information is noted and filed in his mind. Information to be analyzed and used later. Information to be passed along to his father.
The aura that Urien unleashes is an attack that Adelheid has never encountered before. An all encompassing explosion. While he raises his defenses, it does little to disperse the sheer magnitude of that force. He feels it crackling and burning in him, and he feels that force like a continuous wave of pressure, pushing him back until the traction of his boots fails, and he is, at last, sent flying.
He crashes into one of the aircraft on the deck, slamming against it with a hollow, metallic reverberation, before he falls to his hands and knees.
"Heh"
The boy slowly stands to his feet. His flesh is bruised and his outfit torn and shredded. Smoke rises from his shoulders, and areas where the skin is exposed under his shirt are ruddy with scorched marks.
"You have won this battle. Come, if you will, and tear my head off. It will not make a bit of difference. You still do not hold a candle to my father, nor will you ever. You are a limited creature, aspiring to face those without limits. My father is a man who has surpassed all such things. He is worlds above and beyond you."
With that, Adelheid holds out his arms. He's unable to fight. His muscles won't cooperate the way he needs them to. But, even now, he holds no fear, and when he looks at Urien, those red eyes are just as defiant as they were at the start of the match, and he reclaims that faint, amused smile he had held through most of the match.
COMBATSYS: Adelheid takes no action.

[URIEN]
"Tch... You gave up, did you? But that arrogance remains in full force. Some mightiest warrior... Not that a parting shot would have even injured me in this state." He rolls his shoulders, seismic crack of the metal plating infused by essence following. Of course, some threats should not be leveraged in such a fashion to those fearless enough to try assault Rugal himself head on. He's emboldened by his success here, and his footsteps thump forward to sweep out and grasp Adelheid by the face. "I wonder two things..." His fingers shift to clench, maneuvering to heft Rugal's prodigy up. "If your father would even care if you died, after this performance..." And then he twists, pivoting on his foot sharply and roaring as he makes to hurtle the slender boy through the air -- intent on flitting him over the railing of the Sky Noah. "AND IF THE GOD OF WIND PRODIGY CAN FLY!!" He had every intent of succeeding, but his interest goes no further than that. Urien saunters to the edge of the railing, as the nearby helicopter thrums down to slowly draw low enough. His metallic body erodes away, essence seeping out as his gem brightens considerably, and that incredible power fades away to only a man. Who, even with his greatly enhanced physiology and genetics he was so proud of, definitely stands below Adelheid himself without his transformation. Only to then step aboard, and allow the sleek black helicopter to take him back skywards... his last obligation of the qualifier fulfilled!
COMBATSYS: Urien has ended the fight here.
