Match of the Millennium

Description: Juri has run out of playthings in Southtown, and has grown bored. Unfortunately, when you are bored, you end up doing work. Instructed by her superiors that it is time to acquire some Mishima-flavored technology, violence and collateral damage permitted, Juri's on the prowl. Pinpointing a Jack-Bot Laboratory on the border of Mishima Zaibatsu territory, she has only one obstacle preventing her from making off with the robots: the biomechanical monstrosity, revived and restored. Gigas.

The forest northwest of Southtown is quite a large one. The treeline is thick, and visibility is rather small once in the belly of the beast, as it were.

This makes it the perfect place to hide a facility you don't want found! Specificly, in this case, a jack-bot lab producing the latest and greatest jack-bots for Heihachis purposes and needs! All alone in the woods, few would find such a place, even from an airplane. The staff are kept inside at all times, and kept busy with their work to maintain secrecy. At first glance, the place even appears abandoned and unguarded!

A lone figure strides through these relatively innocous woods at a sedate pace, hands crossed loosely over her chest. Even while walking the woman manages to exude an aura of boredom, her body language reinforcing the disinterested expression on her pretty features. The faint rustle of a gentle breeze through the steadily thinning branches mingles with the erratic crunch of her bare feet on the carpet of fallen leaves to create the only disturbance to the quiet of nature. Whatever animals and insects might call this place their home have displayed the sort of natural wisdom that many humans lack and fled in the face of the ominous presence that flows invisibly around this intruder like a cloak of malice and dread.

Juri regards the trees around her as she walks with a look of casual disdain. It's not that she has something particular against the great outdoors but there's simply nothing here that interests her in the slightest - atleast, not yet. She'd received a call from the man known only as Seth, offering her a chance to shake off the rust that had accumulated during her long recovery period after the Mortal Kombat tournament. Many who viewed their relationship from the outside might make the mistake of considering him to be her 'boss', but Seth was far too wise to make that mistake. His missions were more suggestions than orders and he often enticed her with the promise of providing entertaining targets to make it worth her while. Having amused herself with some petty targets over the last few days, soaking in the chaos as the world went mad around her, Juri'd been in a good enough mood to agree to handle S.I.N.'s dirty work yet again.

The bait on the hook for her cooperation this time had come in the form of some sort of massive bio-weapon created by Mishima Industries. He'd shown her a bit of footage of the creature in question and it had been enough to pique her interest, not that she automatically assumed it would prove to be an actual challenge. Too often size was conflated with power. In any case, trashing up one of Heihachi's labs sounded like it could be a decent distraction, so here she is.

The pilot of her transport had suggested that she disembark further from the facility than was normal due to potential anti-air weaponry that was almost certain to be protecting the place. She didn't really give a damn if the plane blew up but that meant she'd have to find another ride back to headquarters which would be even more of a pain. In the end, she decided to hoof it, making her way at her own leisurely pace towards the spot marked on map.

Juri emerges from the seemingly endless sea of forest after a few hours, stepping into the large clearing. A large wall looms before her with squat concrete shapes in dull blocky formations that clearly mark them as industrial structures protruding over the top. She lets out a sigh, hands shifting down to rest on her hips and peers at the bland installation with an unimpressed look.

"Finally. I thought those damn trees would never end. So this is it, huh? Can't say I dig the look but then those old businessmen never did have any style."

As Juri closes in on the facility, a loud ROAR fills the air! A rumble shakes the branches of the trees, kicking up a bit of dust from the forest floor....

Suddenly, with a SLAM of impact, the hulking creature that is Gigas lands not far from the spidery-aligned assassin, creating small craters where his hands and feet impact the ground! Stopping to zero in on her, the 6 unblinking lights that are his 'eyes' seem to glare at her for a moment, before he roars again from only a few feet away from her! With a leap, he moves in to attack the small human creature that dares approach the place he is designated to protect!

Charging forwards with the momentum, Gigas rapidly picks up speed! At the last moment as he closes, he ducks down, and redirects all that momentum into a full-arm uppercut, aiming for center of mass on Juri!

It's pretty much impossible to miss the lumbering behemoth that lunges into the air, clearing the wall of the facility in a single monsterous bound as if it were hopping over a small obstruction that happened to cross its path, but Juri's keen senses granted to her by the powerful eye in her head pick up on the surge of energy even before the Mishima monstrosity leaps into view.

The bored expression on her face doesn't falter in the face of this red giant save for the slight quirking of an eyebrow. Juri turns to face the Gigas as his bulk craters the ground sending powerful ripples of air through her loose clothing for a few moments. At his bellowing roar, she smirks and leans forward slightly in that mocking fashion she so often presents to her victims.

"Well... you're a big boy, huh? Or maybe it'd be more accurate to call you a guard dog. Look at you, practically tugging at that leash in a hurry to please your master. Well, come on then! Let's pl-"

Juri's haughty taunting is cut off suddenly by the unexpected shift in movement of her foe. Her eyes widen in surprise as the creature lunges towards her, his sheer size turning what would be a trivially easy attack to avoid into a devastating swing that catches in mid-air even as she leaps backwards in an attempt to avoid the punch. The Gigas' fist smashes into her torso like a wrecking ball and the girl's slender form is sent spinning backwards through the air in a pellmell tumble until she hits one of those damnable trees. Juri's eyes bulge and she lets out an extremely uncharacteristic cry of pain as her body impacts the giant trunk, an explosion of shattered bark flying in all directions.

Still stunned from both the attack and the sheer fact that she was caught off-guard, Juri tumbles to the ground with a hard thud which prompts her to let out another grunt of pain. Despite the absurd ferocity of the blow, it takes only a few moments for the young girl to peel herself off the ground, climbing angrily to her feet. Her previous look of boredom is replaced with a mask of pure demonic fury made even more savage by the faint trickles of blood running from the corner of her mouth and nose. Wide eyes quiver with the sheer effort of containing her rage as she turns her gaze upon the beast that dared to injure her in such a fashion.

"You worthless little WORM! How dare you? HOW DARE YOU?! I'm going to rip you into little pieces and cram then down the throats of every fucking maggot in this place!"

Crouching slightly from her position near the edge of the forest, Juri begins to glow with terrible purple light as the Feng Shui Engine draws power from the surroundings into her body, infusing the girl with energies twisted by her hatred and sadism. She explodes into motion with a thrust of her legs that sends her flying at Gigas in a blurred streak of colors. Upon reaching her target the maddened woman does not simply strike at him, however, but passes directly around the lumbering thing to appear behind it. Her body whirls like fulcrum and she brings the full might of her deadly psycho-infused heel down upon the thing's metal helm, attempting to simply crush it with raw furious power.

"Die!"

With his large size, the mammoth Gigas towers over Juri, easily seeing her movements. Despite his more beastial nature, he is not without defense! As she zips past, sending a kick at his head, one of his metal-clad arms swings up to absorb the impact. It stings, but otherwise is hardly a concern as the beast growls his rage and pain!

Taking advantage of the potential recovery time after her attack, Gigas wastes no time in reaching for Juri, intending to grab her and once more send her flying airborn into a nearby wall or tree!

Juri hangs in the air for a brief moment as her foot clashes with the monster's meaty arm which is all it needs to make a grab for her. It's giant hand clamps down around her body and sends the girl hurtling towards the dark gray of the facility's outer wall, apparently having gotten hooked on the idea of sending her smashing into things thanks to its initial success. However, now that she's keyed up for a fight, and worse, extraordinarily pissed off, the little fighter is more than prepared to deal with this.

Whirling around in midair, Juri twists herself so that she lands feet-first against the surface of the barrier instead of slamming into it with no control. The impact rattles her bones a little but she deftly crouches upon landing to cushion the blow and disperses it without catastrophe. Still fighting mad and eager to get back into range, she does not waste the effort that it requires to push away from the wall by simply allowing herself to fall to the ground. Instead, she catapults herself back towards the Gigas with a springing lunge mere moments after touching the wall.

Spinning like a windmill as she crashes back towards her opponent, Juri's legs become a cyclone of psychotic destruction, each rotation carving a brilliant neon arc through the air.

Teeth clenched, the angry giant leaps fowards as he sees Juris destructive spinning attack begin! His body rocks with the strikes, smouldering marks along his upper torso where the strikes connect!

This does NOT stop him however, as his large fist punches through the storm of energy-powered kicks to impact her squarely in the stomach! The moment she starts to crumple with the impact, his knee comes firing up from the floor to strike her hard in the face in a brutal one-two combo strike!

Beating his chest with a hand, Gigas gives another roar of discontent, this time directly in her face!

It would seem even Juri's terrible fury is not enough to make this insane beast falter in its tracks. Too stupid to be afraid and strong enough that its bravado isn't entirely meaningless, the girl finds herself on the back foot for the first time in quite a while.

The massive limbs interject themselves into her whirlwind of death and send Juri crashing to the ground in an unsightly heap once more. Despite the beating she has received and the fact that she looks like the sort of person who should tumble over in a strong breeze the teenager pushes back to her feet with dogged determination, her angry expression shifting from a seething berserker rage into something much colder and darker. She turns to face the towering giant without the slightest hint of fear in her eyes. Taking up a more dignified combat stance, she leans back to stand on one foot, grinning madly up at her foe even as her left eye begins to glow.

"Hahahaha! Man, you're really giving me a workout here! Gotta admit, I'm actually having fun! But it isn't over yet! Comon! Let's see what you've really got!"

It doesn't take Gigas long to take Juri up on her offer. After all, so far she has been little more than an annoying gnat that keeps getting back up after he has knocked her down!

This, like many things, makes him angry!

Already being up close with her, he brings back his large fist, and swings it down and up, aiming for right under her chin! Perhaps he SHOULD take her glowing eye as more of a threat, but for now, the idea doesn't really cross his mind.

A potential mistake as large as he is!

Juri's grin remains smug and confident as the beast pulls back his arm, clearly preparing to deliver a strike that even an untrained scrub could see coming a mile away. Data pours into her mind as the Feng Shui Engine fires up, reading every possible angle of attack as its muscles flex and feeding that information into the girl's subconsciousness so that the act of avoiding whatever might come her way is little more than second nature.

That is, right until it short outs. A sharp burst of sparks erupts from the girl's eye with a terrible crackling sound causing her to cry out in surprise and pain, instinctively whipping her head away from the malfunction. The distraction comes at the worst possible time, pulling her attention away just as Gigas unleashes yet another of his devastating strikes that sends her sailing away like a boneless doll.

Juri hits the ground hard, bouncing once off the hard earth before she manages to right herself and plant her feet on the ground, arresting her momentum with a great rustle of crunching leaves. Immediately she falls to one knee, letting out a pained groan. There isn't much more of that she can take. But she'll be damned if she's going to let this thing kick her around like that. Godamn Seth and his shitty technology!

"Tch, whatever. It's still functional enough. This isn't over yet!"

Drawing recklessly upon the power of her eponymous eye, Juri's form begins to crackle with unstable purple energy even as she rushes forward to meet the giant in battle yet again. Her speed becoming something out of legend, the girl's body flowing from one movement to the next so fast that tracking it with the naked eye is nearly an impossible task. She unleashes her skill and fury in an unceasing barrage of psycho-fueled kicks, striking at the monster from every angle, each attack blurring into the next.

Faster than the eye can follow is right! It is all Gigas can do to even TRY to keep up with the speeding bullet that is Juri when her eye activates! Attacks impact on him from one angle, then another, then another, leaving large dents and burning slag in his metal frame from the impacts and chi! He ROAAAAAAAAAAARS in pain, swinging in a futile attempt to strike Juri, and coming up short only to be struck again and again!

His eye-lights begin to abruptly gloooooooooooooow a bright orange, and energy thrumms through his metallic tentacles! With a primal yell, he RACES forwards, attempting to grab Juri in his fit of pain-fueled rage!

Getting his hands on her, he pulls her forwards and gives a sharp strike of his elbow to her back! His immense hand clenches hard, pulls back, and comes up aimed directly at the center of her face as she leans fowards from the prior elbow strike! He tries to aim a bit to the side to hit that infernally glowing eye, but only in passing. At the moment, he just wants to hit her. HARD!

Today is apparently just not her day.

Juri finds herself savaged yet again, beaten, smashed, and cast aside by the unfeeling monster that towers overhead. There might be some poetic justice to be found in that if any of her enemies were to witness this sad joke of a fight unfold but at the moment the only thing she cares about is tearing this damned oversized meatbag to pieces even as it belts her square in the face.

She is nothing if not disturbingly tenacious.

Which she proves by unleashing a vengeful blast of her own terrible power even as she tumbles backwards from the punch to repeat a trip through the dirt that she's made far too many times today already. Juri's leg lashes out as she is sent head over heels, the sharp snap of her foot carving the air asunder with its fury as a massive crescent of glowing purple light erupts in its wake. Towering just as tall as the Gigas itself, the angry energy blast crashes towards his massive bulk even as it propels the girl just a little bit further away during her fall.

Turning to Juri, her words prompt his eyes to once again glooooow brightly as he charges! When she throws her large chi projectile, it strikes him dead on as he seemingly charges INTO it!

With a ROAR he BURSTS through the huge chi wave, his speed barely faltering despite what he just did, even as he smokes and bleeds from various wounds! Kicking out with one of his enormous feet, he tries to impact her stomach! Following this, he attempts to strike her on the back with both hands at once, finished with a double uppercut right after!

Beaten and bruised, Juri just can't compete with the monster that feels no pain which has been set to guard this facility. Though her blows are telling, without the whittling down of resolve and the fear of destruction to back them up, this fight has turned into a war of attrition that she cannot win in her current state. If only her eye hadn't chosen this moment to fail her!

This time when she is knocked away, Juri does not retaliate or attempt to engage. She lands hard but in control, faltering to one knee for only a moment. A hand goes to her side bringing with it a sharp wince as a wave of pain and nausea radiates through her. A broken rib or two for sure. The girl spits a was of blood and phlem on the leaf-covered ground, glaring at the beast.

"This isn't over! Just you wait! I'll have my revenge!"

Turning on her heel, Juri dashes into the forest, ignoring the suffering that assaults her from every part of her body. She needs to get to the extraction point before that thing can give chase or guards can be sent. Wouldn't that just be icing on the cake, getting captured by a bunch of goons. Not today!

"Damnit, Seth! You're gonna answer for making me look like an idiot! You and your damn toy!"

Persuit is briefly given, until Juri crosses that invisible line that seperates Gigas' territory from 'everywhere else around it'. He stands there for a few minutes, walking back and forth as if at the edge of a cliff, fuming. His injuries slowly begin to stop bleeding as his regeneration protocols begin to kick in, and with a huff of superiority, he turns around and trudges back towards the facility for repair and rearm. His objective is, for the moment, complete.
