Description: Initially Lieutenant Lita Luwanda and Agent Daniel Little in a Delta Red vs Interpol showdown. A brutal, bloody, knock down, drag out fight revealed new info and in the end revealed new things to investigate.[Winner: Daniel]
Trouble in Paradise. Lita Luwanda saw one episode and dismissed it as lame and never wanted to see that show again. Back then, if anyone were to tell her that someone would build a Theme Park based on it, she'd say that they're crazy. If they were to tell her that not only would they build it, she would find herself fighting there one day, she'd try to get the person in question committed to an asylum. Yet, here she is now. Her commanding officer had refused to let her beg off this fight.
The Delta Red Lieutenant, dressed up in the Delta Red leotard with the red triangle, green BDU pants and leather jacket as her concessions to the weather in Southtown. On her belt is a bandolier of kunai and a large sword strapped to her back. In addition to all of that, she's wearing a frown. She's clearly not enthused to be at the theme park
As the crowd begins to gather outside the theme park, Lita is fitted with all the HitBit accessories. It's done with relatively little fuss. It's not much different from when she had been outfitted with all the Blitz equipment for her one fight.
Eventually the officials are done and she steps into the area set aside for the fight, as she waits for the fight to start. She bounces up and down on her feet eager to get this fight over with and get as far away from this place as possible.
Daniel Jack had problems.
He was in Southtown for... personal reasons. Or international reasons. But after meeting Zach and calling him and his family a bunch of monster-racist murderers, he returned back in the town in time to get mugged by a snake lady. It was a hard time to be an Agent of Interpol.
But then he got his marching orders from The Chief.
There were concerns about a tournament coming up. Agent Little was going to investigate. Daniel Jack explained that he was in the hospital after being assaulted by a mugger. Chief explained in a five minute rant what he was going to do with his ass if he didn't immediately jerk out his IV and start fighting. Daniel Jack considered what he felt about his ass, and after a hasty sign-off, the detective was nearly literally dumped himself out of a taxi as his cellphone was STILL alarming. The agent was garbed out of his Interpol Greys, and instead was in his backup... Daniel Jack classic. An orange zoot suit, with a black porkpie hat with a big red feather. His main suit was in the tailors.
Getting mugged did that.
Daniel Jack was in a daze. Adjusting his red-lensed glasses, he staggers to the technicians. He just knew he was fighting. And his opponent was a god damn special forces agent. Oh lord he could taste the suck. The Chief was being vague about WHY he needed to get his ass kicked. As the detective drags himself into the technicians, he struggles to turn off his phone, while they outfit him in the headband, the wristbands, and the anklebands. He casts a glance to the woman in the Delta Red leotard, and his eyes go -wide-. Either by his opponent's figure, or the KNIVES. MORE KNIVES. Daniel Jack gets a look of dread over his face, as he shuts his eyes. The calibration finishes up, and eyes still shut, the detective drags himself before Lita, across the fighting area. Stopping dead at his starting point, he finally opens his eyes. The detective takes in a deep breath. And exhales.
"The name's Jack. Daniel Jack. Or Agent Little of Interpol."
The detective pauses a moment, and sighs, staring at the kunai.
"So, Delta Red, huh?"
There's a few moments as Agent Little is getting himself sorted out. She wasn't too impressed by his appearance but often judging a book by their cover could bring unpleasant surprises. She wasn't aware of who she was fighting so she had no chance to scout him out or review fight footage. She was going to have to improvise. She was still familiar enough by his reputation as the 'Ladykiller.'
When he asks about her affiliation with Delta Red she answers in a neutral tone, "Yes. Lieutenant Lita Luwanda of Delta Red. Nice to meet you." Daniel Jack hasn't earned her respect yet. That will have to be gained during battle where both natural talent and the hard work of cultivating it will be tested. She takes a deep breath and takes her stance.
"I haven't had a chance to fight someone from Interpol yet."
"Lieutenant Lita Luwanda."
The detective repeats the name, twitching his mustache a bit. Daniel Jack didn't know a Lita. He just knew that she was Delta Red beforehand. Special forces were... imposing for the detective. He stretches a bit, as he continues, unflappable. "That's probably a good thing, not fighting Interpol. Don't need Delta Red going renegade, right?" Daniel Jack's meters were a blip, all within the green and stable. Compared to some of the other high profile fighters, Daniel Jack was not in the upper levels of sheer power. Yet, as he finishes up his warm up, his composure was falling in place.
He seemed to be getting over his fear by the second.
The judges move into position, as the audience and camera. What was this place again? The whole thing was a blur. Daniel Jack starts to blink a bit as... as something seems to be wrong. Giant inflatable palm trees began to blow up around them. A vast poolside was starting to open up to his right. And the audience was in... swimsuits? Daniel Jack blinks a moment, as he slowly realizes that... this was the Trouble In Paradise Theme Park. A pair of mascots, wearing super-deformed outfits with a giant chibi head of Lee Chaolan and Zack respectively, begin to wave at Lita and the detective. Daniel Jack's heart rate increases, as he blinks. Falling into the defensive stance of Todoh, he tries to ignore what was going on as he raises his voice towards Lita, as if talking louder drowned out the dumb,
"So how come Delta Red's interested in this thing?"
Swimsuits? Blow up pools? It is too cold out here for this. That was why Lita wore the leather jacket and the BDU pants over her leotard. Then she sees the mascots. Several possible reactions enter her mind but then she eventually settles on thumb and forefinger pinching the bridge of her nose as if she was sudden recipient of a pounding headache. Considering the situation, she might just have one.
Her response to the dumb is markedly different from Daniel's. She's quiet for awhile as if she has mentally Blue Screened of Deathed and when she finally speaks her voice goes lower.
"None... Yet. Right now, this is about me getting a chance to go against fighting styles I normally wouldn't go up against."
Yeah, it was... getting awkward.
Several more of the swim suitted people begin to dance around behind the pair of professionals. A giant-headed Indian doctor mascot suddenly dances around his robotic counterpart, as the B-52s begin to play. "Really? That's something." Daniel Jack raises his voice louder. "Interpol won't tell me why I'm here. I mean, I was in Southtown anyways investigating hate stuff. Lot of hate in the world right now. Real cheap too." Daniel Jack sighs, before lowering his voice slightly. "Yeah, what am I doing. You wanna try on new fighting styles. Well, I got one for you. Tell me if you heard it before."
And Daniel Jack begins a demostration.
A simple demonstration, one he had to do hundreds and hundreds of times as both a student of Todoh Ryuu and an instructor. The hand strike demonstration, a showing of the Todoh Ryuu Senkou Nagashi. Transitioning, he then mimes out a few of the throws and grapples, before interjecting with the most important part of Todoh-Ryuu Kobojutsu: The Kasane Ates. After a few mimed out hand slashes, he finally returns back to his defensive stance. A quick mustache wiggle comes. "Yeah, Todoh-Ryuu Kobojutsu."
"Sure as hell not gonna turn up in our of your missions."
"Ever."
"Who said it had to require a Delta Red going rogue or for that matter, an Interpol agent going rogue. There are tournaments and inter-agency training sessions, love," said in a tone that seem to think that line of thinking that would be the only reason they could fight to be silly.
The melee specialist of Delta Red then watches silently as the Interpol agent performs a demonstration of Todoh-Ryuu Kobojutsu. In a street situation, Lita would've just decked him while he was going through his demo. In a tournament she's forced to pretty much sit there and wait until he finishes. But it was blessing since it gave her plenty of information to work with.
"Not impressed by mimed demonstrations. I want to see it in action."
Her curl into a smirk and then when the official gives the word, she bursts into motion with backhand across the jaw, followed by a palm strike to the chest and then elbow strike to the agent's arm.

Going rogue.
Daniel didn't say anything to that. He was quiet, for a moment. Around him, the sights of a tropical beach vacation was getting more and more intense. What looks like to be a very familiar German girl begins to dance around in a bikini in the pool. One would almost guess it was a body double for Hitomi. With her was what looked like a french twit with fantastic hips, also in a bikini. Daniel wouldn't know Ash Crimson, but the two girls begin to stand on top of a platform, as they begin to engage in the sacred art of the 'Butt Battle'
Daniel Jack was sweating by the time Lita comes in.
The hands out, the detective deftly guides the first backhand past him, taking a balanced step back as the swipe comes. As the palm strike roars in, he step forward and to the side, letting his other hand guide her aggression forward. The final elbow strike roars out, and Daniel continues his approach, rotating around Lita as he simply uses his full body to slip past it, repositioning to her flank, his shoulder parallel to her shoulder. With both hands, he reaches out to grip her on the shoulder and hip. Should he get the hold, he would simply step in, and pivot, slamming her on her back. All with a simple response.
"Okay, scuzzy."

It's a familiar throw. The type she would see in aikido or even military hand to hand classes. She would normally have a response to that to keep from letting him get his hips in close and stepping around which would stop throw before it begun if she had enough time to execute. Unfortunately the throw is executed so cleanly she is easily taken off her feet and thrown onto her back.
"Colour me slightly impressed."
She attempts to scissor her legs about Daniel's while she's still on the ground and twisting into a scissor leg takedown then transitioning into a mount to throw a hammer fist to his face. After that, she works her way back up to her feet.

That was the trouble with Daniel.
It wasn't that his technique was fancy or shocking or dramatic. It was that it was clean, precise, and effective. Daniel Jack got his ladykiller rep just from the plain and natural method of taking down his opponents. The detective of Interpol was pure skill at this point, a rehearsed style that nothing could break.
Except when a butt battle was going on.
Actress Hitomi suddenly lets out a high-pitched giggle from all the way at the pool. It seemed that, with a great heft, Sexy Ash gave Hitomi a big push, knocking her right off the platform in the pool. She splashes in the shallow pool for the real TIP experience. Daniel Jack actually opens his eyes wide as he peers over. When Lita suddenly shoots her legs up, the detective tries to spread them, to catch them right there. Buuuuuut that was... not practical right now as the detective is caught up in the leg lock.
And Daniel Jack takes to the ground hard.
As Lita rises up, the detective groans, rolling on the ground. He flips his hat back on him, as he grumbles a bit. "Not bad kid." Agent Little replies, finally rolling on his knees. "You know a Zach Glenn by the way? Ex-Marine? Figure if he's in the same circuit, you'd run into his style. I like the guy, but he's... he's running into a bad streak, you dig?" He holds on his knees for a moment.
And then he shoots straight up.
His rise comes as a blur, though. Surging towards Lita, the detective rockets upright with a hand chop with the right, and a palm strike with the left. The wakeup comes hard, as a wave of orange energy flows over him. Lashing out a rapid slash of chi overhead with his right again, he would just let it stun Lita before focusing on the REAL meat of the assault: Driving into Lita's gut, and flip her HARD right over his shoulder, and right on her back.
Again.

"No I haven't se..."
The Lieutenant never quite gets a chance to get the full response before the former detective is back on his feet and in her face. Her reflexes are quick enough that she barely is clipped by the chop, she just barely avoids the left handed palm strike and is barely grazed by the chi overhead strike on her shoulder. Though not stunned, she still gets hit in the gut and launched away. She manages to twist in the air before landing on her feet and skidding backwards in a three point stance.
She reaches for her belt and as she rises to her full height, she sends a kunai flying towards the Interpol agent connected to a wire. If it should not connect with her target, she'll yank on it to keep it from hitting a spectator. Last thing she needed was to get sued.

A solid entry.
Lita was fast, but not quite fast enough to evade the full force of Daniel's relentless combo. The main show was only bare hits, but the afterparty sent Lita hurtling away. Daniel Jack pivots after the relentless attack, turning towards Lita. He advances slowly, making his approach. "Yeah, I've been trying to follow up things. Lita, have you ever run into anything supernatural, off the reco-" Daniel Jack is cut short himself as the special forces unleashes a knife. He tries to deflect the blade, side-stepping as he does so. But there was a... issue with that pretty obviously.
The Kunai instead hits Daniel right in the neck.
"HURK!" The detective gasps, blood slowly leaking down by his throat. There is a gasp from the audience, the butt battle stopping dead. Daniel Jack waves his hand to the crowd, and then Lita. "Hey! It's okay! I'm a professional. Jesus christ though Lieutenant." Daniel Jack slashes his hand across the wire in a smooth gesture, a wave of energy rushing out to sever it. Grabbing the Kunai, he yanks it out as the blood surges out. "Oh sweet butter biscuits." He groans, forcing a smile and waving at the crowd. "Hey! Don't worry! Missed the artery and windpipe! Lita is a professional, she was aiming to disable with the knife! Only a true professional!" The detective stops waving at the crowd, and fixes the hand on his neck to stop the blood. The other hand? He just snaps the blade right back towards Lita, aiming for her leg. Cause while legs had arteries...
Well, Daniel was just trying to keep his center right now.

"Familiar? Yes."
She has more to say but unfortunately for her she has her weapon flying right back at her. This time, she draws five kunai. First one she flings is aimed at one traveling toward her leg pinning it down to the ground by the loop on the hilt. The remaining four travel towards various locations. One to each of his shoulders, one to his stomach, and the last one to his leg.
"Encountered? Not as of yet."

More knives?
The audience was beginning to gasp again, as words of concern come over the sexy crowd. As Daniel sends the knife back, he quickly notices that MORE knives were coming back to him. "You got to be-" THe detective groans as, keeping his hand on his neck, swings his free hand back. Energy building around the limb, he suddenly and swiftly begins to sweep it towards the flurry of kunai. "KASANE-"
"Okay then."
Daniel Jack is knocked out of his energy wave as the Kunai pepper both arms and both legs. Gagging, he keeps his hand on his neck as he staggers, the knives in his limbs. "Okay then. Right. Alright scuzzy. I'm gonna just pull these ones out too. Anyways." Daniel Jack starts plucking out Kunais, giving Lita some space. "Supernatural crap. Weirdos and stuff. Like what happened in Metro City. You know that Interpol considers that to be a natural phenomenon and terror attack? That's a load, isn't it scuzzy?"
Daniel swiftly switches the hands on his neck, as he continues to bleed steadily.
"As far as they're concerned ignorance is bliss even though they have the truth staring them in the face."
She ruefully shakes her head at what he's saying in that they are so determined to keep the veil over their eyes that in spite of footage and the sight of things that clearly weren't natural they refused to acknowledge it.
"There was talk about an International Special Forces Program that would deal with that type of thing in addition to increased fighter criminal activity, I was a potential recruit. I either didn't make the cut or it got so tied down with red tape that it never got off the ground."
She shrugs and moves her hand to the quick release latch on her back before she speaks up again. "Of course this might not be the best location to talk about this."
She then darts in quickly and performs a fast slash with more speed than probably anyone with such a large weapon should be able to before skipping backwards.

"Tell me about it."
Daniel Jack wrenches out the last kunai, tossing it to the ground as he loosens his limbs. "I don't think its incompetence though." Oh, he was bleeding pretty bad. Fortunately, he was a world-class expert at bleeding. He could bleed like the greatest martial arts masters in the world. Blood was blood for him. As Lita continues on about an... international special force program? Not quite what Daniel was thinking. But a glimmer hits him, a... flash of power. Schemes begin to muster in the heart of the detective. As the crowd continues to watch in horror, Daniel Jack flashes a charming smile. "Maybe we can go out someplace private, have a little chat about international-"
"-Oh come on!"
Lita just drew out a sword. Daniel Jack rolls his eyes, the smile fading. "Really? You are a full-on weapons specialist? It's gonna be one of those fights all out?" Daniel likely had more choice words, but the special forces was tearing in towards the special agent. Daniel Jack snaps out his hands, and neatly places his palms on the long edge of the blade as it swipes. Redirecting the force, he deflects it low, letting it nick his shin as well as his miserable hands. "God dammit!" He spits out, shaking the stinging pain out from his palms as he takes a rotating step to Lita's flanks again.
And already unleashes another palm strike.
"Dammit!" He bitterly bites out as the palm strike from the left comes out, aiming for Lita's center. A handchop from the right comes, as he begins the legendary four hit combo from the detective. An elbow strike would chain in afterwards, the multiple strikes coming fast. The assault would finish as Daniel Jack juts out a final palm strike, designed to push himself and his opponent away. It was a repositioning strike. Daniel needed it.
He was really bleeding bad now.

The Delta Red specialist could see the roll of his eyes at her drawing the weapon. She barely had time to frown at the complaints about her being a weapons specialist before he's already in her face, delivering an efficient and fairly brutal combination starting and ending with a palm strike. The final blow sending her rolling backwards and into a crouched position.
"Oh bloody 'ell. Come off it! You didn't hear me complaining about you using those fancy energy attacks did you?"
She doesn't go in right away, taking a moment to both plot how she's going to approach and to set the record straight. "My feet, my hands, anything I can carry in them is a weapon to me." She pauses. "The less that is said about what I did to someone with a deflated balloon, the better. Now are you going to fight me before I lose what respect I had for you?"
She then goes into a wild charge hoping to overwhelm with the appearance of undisciplined approach and catch the Interpol agent off guard with the first slash and following up with a pair of more clean, disciplined, and precise slashes and then circling around to Daniel's flank which in Lita's ideal world, would force her opponent to adjust his footwork before he could retaliate.

"Kasane Ates are different, dammit!"
Daniel Jack was insistant on that, as he finishes up his combination. With the distance created between him and Lita, he was raising his arms back more and more. The more she talked, the more energy that was building. The detective's arm trembles, the power building higher and higher. He was nodding along with the rubber balloon comment, as the waves of energy comes to an apex. The special forces agent comes in with the wild charge, the undisciplined approach...
And it does not catch Daniel off guard.
With the distance between them, the detective was already moving, his arms drawn back. The first slash comes, and Daniel Jack plays exactly to the tune that the specialist wants. The first slash falls short of his torso, as the detective arm continues back, the charge just being held now. The next two slashes come, with Daniel Jack bounding back. Lita rotates around towards the detective's flank, and the agent of Interpol turns to face her.
And slams his arms down.
The wave of energy cascades down to the ground, and blasts out in a semi-circle from the detective. The orange chi was massive, the tallest of the shockwaves nearly reaching 8 feet tall. Rocketing out, the waves go shorter and short as they roar forward, the audience backing up as the energy disappates a good 10 meters away. This was a technique that was done faster and more powerfully by his mentors; but Daniel was patient. Daniel had time. And with the full force of the shockwave, he roars out its name, as he had so many times before.

Lita has absolutely no sensitivity to energy of any sort. Not psionic. Not chi. She can't feel the energy that Daniel is building up. She probably wouldn't realize that they're two different types of energy until they both hit her. She can see however that he's building something up and that she does not want to be there. That turn he was forced to make, while intended to delay him so she could hit while he was in the process of delivering the attack, ended up giving her a little extra time to escape. She jumps up and over him and the wave before it can reach its full height and upon landing slashes at his shoulder.
"The point is when you use those fancy energy attacks, like the one you just missed me with, you're not just attacking with your hands, feet, any other part of your body. So you have no right to complain about me using weaponry."

Daniel was still low from the attack as Lita bounds over him.
Tracking her, turning, the detective moves elegantly. In spite of his injuries, in spite of his relatively unimpressive land speed, he was just fast enough. The first slash comes into Daniel's shoulder as he was still down, a nasty strike that tears him deeply. But Daniel seemed serene, there wasn't any grunt this time. The orange energy was still flowing from him as the next slash comes, the detective moving in and rising up. This time, this is deflected, as Daniel Jack seizes Lita by the crook of both of her knees. Daniel Jack levels his head up as he continues to rise.
"Point taken."
And he takes to the air.
Bounding up with Lita in his clutches, he swings her high up. Blood loss was... really starting to take a toll. Only his chi was really fueling him now. Hitting an apex of a mere meter, the detective flips her back, and unleashes a bellow.
"KASANE ATE!"
And with that, he slams her straight back to earth around a wave of energy, using HER as the energy weapon as he spikes Lita. Releasing her, he falls right back into his defensive stance of Todoh. Zoot Suit Riot to Kasane Ate to Jumping Jack Flash.
He was in the ladykiller loop.
Lita never even saw it coming. She wasn't prepared for Daniel to turn aside her sword, and in the process snatch her up into the air and then slammed down into the ground and leaving a Lita shaped imprint in the ground.
The special forces fighter mutters as she rises back to her feet with a pained grimace on her face which gives way to a smile when she puts the sword back on her back and relatches it. Once the sword is secured again, she then takes her stance.
"Ok. Now, you've got my respect."
She then comes in with a front kick to the tear drop muscle in the thigh which if she hits where she needs to will give him a nice little dead leg. After that she comes in with a palm strike to the jaw followed by an elbow to the abdomen and then a hammer fist to the side of his and then following up by grabbing his hands and crossing them at the elbows and with both arms acting as levers and the elbows as the fulcrum twisting them about each other so that he gets thrown to the ground if all goes well. It wasn't necessarily a good sign that Daniel earned her respect.
As Lita gets back up, the detective repositions. His hands were up, he was very, very cautious of what the Weapon Specialist was capable of. His neck had stopped bleeding, but the torn flesh could be well and seen. There was movement in the crowd, mutterings, whispers. Sexy Hitomi and Sexy Ash were hugging each other, faces and bodies red with... concern, h-holding each other, and r-rubbing...
Daniel Jack shifts his focus back to Lita as she rockets in with a front kick.
Daniel Jack catches the attack in his bloodied palms, not stopping it, but redirecting it. The next palm strike goes straight for his jaw, and he takes the blow partially, turning with the strike to minimize the damage. The follow-up elbow is caught as Daniel is recovering, the detective redirecting that one past him as well. Repositioned to her side, taking the follow-up hammerfist with another guiding redirection. That quickly is turned into Lita seizing BOTH of his hands. Daniel Jack responds with straight-forward Nikyo; he lets one arm draw towards him as he crooks the other, breaking the fulcrum and rolling free. Landing on his knees, he rises back up.
And Daniel Jack shifts the momentum back.
The detective fires out a palm strike with the left, followed by a hand chop with the right. An elbow jab of the right comes, before a rising palm strike with the other hand. The Zoot Suit Riot combo should have ended there... except a flash of energy comes over Daniel again. Another hand chop comes from the left, the risen palm coming down again, followed by a palm strike with the right. Another palm strike comes from the left, followed by a straight kick from the detective's right leg. The assault comes a climax as Daniel, thrusting in with a final palm strike with the right, attempts to lock it in place with a grab. Should he be successful, he would step in, seize her upper arm with his left hand, and pivot into a throw to send her face down into the ground...
And wrench her arm into a full arm lock.

Lita was familiar with the initial combination. She had already had been on the receiving end of it and now she was comfortable with the particulars that she could slip the palm strike, deflect the hand chop, take the elbow jab on her shoulder, and then turning aside the palm strike of the Zoot Suit Riot and make it look like it was rehearsed. Then the subsequent attacks come in and she covers up much like a boxer would, taking the impacts on her shoulders and forearms, gritting her teeth with every impact. When the last palm strike comes in, she weaves before the palm can land true, let alone grab her.
Her battered and bruised body drops low aiming to perform a double leg takedown and then work her way into a full mount position to rain elbows and hammerfists down upon Daniel Jack.
Even as she throws every attack, her aching body is reminding her that time is running out.

That last palm strike comes in, Daniel Jack rushing in to aim for the finishing throw. The detective's relentless attack was carefully blocked and countered with every move. He needed to close this deal. Already, he was beginning to grow exhausted. As the final lunge comes, she slips past him... and roars in. Caught in her legs, she is mounted on his chest, And there, she just pounds him, attacking him while pinned down. Over and over, over and over. Daniel Jack only barely manages to muster up his arms as she pounds him. Pounds him like tuna. Through the assault, as he takes blow after blow, Daniel Jack finally sputters.
"Not... out... yet."
The detective drops his guard for a moment, letting the blow come as he makes a move to Lita's knee. Reaching out, he deftly places a hand above it, a hand below it. It was telegraphed, yes. It was obvious, yes. And he was exhausted, yes. But everything surging through him made it where he gave a great last ditch effort to reverse the woman on his chest... and wrench her knee out of its socket as he flips the pin. He was so dead set on this that...

Why -else- would a place as insane and, well, inane as the Trouble In Paradise Theme Park even exist? But the fact of the matter is, until the app lets everyone know where the fight will be, it's tough to know exactly where it is. It's one-hundred percent secure, in that no one knows the exact location.
Or maybe it's zero percent secure -- because the very notion of having -guards- in a particular place would spoil the surprise, and then the secret would be revealed, and everyone would know. So with a highly dispersed guard presence... it might be possible for practically -anyone- to show up on one of these special events... hiding just about anywhere.
Such as atop one of the fake tropical trees. The informal, even -casual- nature of the Rumble In The Streets idea is that practically anyone can be an official, or a cameraman, or a guard. It's meant to invoke a fun, visceral, in-your-face sort of feel -- a renegade approach to keep the audience involved. In the midst of a tropical paradise, uniformed guards would just be an undue harshness on that groove. So no one really suspects the Japanese man with a tropical shirt and shorts, propped atop a fake tropical tree overlooking the match. His SLR camera looks fancy: it's a top-of-the-line Canon.
No one suspects him at all when he pulls out a Sig Sauer P220 from the waistband of his shorts. Easily concealable -- and no one would expect a firearm at all within the island nation of Japan. Until they hear the retort of the marksman's one single shot towards Daniel Little's head.
He only gets one shot -- for the recoil is enough to knock him right off his precarious perch, with only his grip on a rope to stop his fall.
Reversal.
Daniel turns the takedown into a clean finish. He wrenches the knee out of its socket, and then he rises back into a stand. He was burning, he was exhausted. Staggering on his feet, he was striving to keep himself from bleeding out.
But she wasn't done yet.
Lita comes roaring in for a final strike, her own finisher. The sword was out now. She was rushing, she was charging, and she WAS going to tear the detective down, he could see it. Not lethally though; she had plenty of chances for that. As she rushes in, Daniel just does what he knows. He prepares his stance, and hands out, he catches the special forces as she comes in shoulder first. Guiding her along, he turns around her, letting the blade come flailing out for him. He was in control of this. And soon, he releases her, letting her collapse. Daniel Jack wiggles his mustache. "Well, scuzzy, I'll be honest. If I ran International Special Forces Program?"
"You'd make the cut, for sure."
And suddenly, the sound of a pistol report fills the air.
Daniel Jack turns his head after the shot comes. His face felt hot, the air filled with screams. He was dizzy, shock. Somebody... somebody just shot him in the head. The detective's mind reels for a moment, the world spinning. This was it. This was how he died. This was the end. Daniel Jack begins to fall, fall, fall, fall. He smelled blood. And as the darkness wraps around him, a thought passes in his head.
I am not dead.
And he brings his foot down.
"I am so SICK of this crap!" Is what the detective growls as he finds himself storming towards the tree. His face was bleeding heavily; his face was hot. He was not, however, dying. The sheer grit, the sheer tenacious, diehard nature of the agent of Interpol as carrying him as Daniel Jack refuses to go down. His cheek had a deep tear on it, where the bullet had passed through. It was a gruesome blow. But it wasn't a killing one. Daniel Jack realized that he saw a man on the rope, as the crowd screams and parts. The detective arms begins to burn with orange energy, as he forces forward, forces himself through the daze, the dream. A camera man? A terrorist? An assassin. None of the mattered. Because as Daniel reaches that tree?
He just -cleaves- through the trunk with a scissor-slash of Kasane Ates.
"Make the cut... Ha. Ha. Very funny." The sarcastic tone oozing from her voice.
And then the Lieutenant hears the gun shot and her grip releases on the sword as she moves a hand towards her belt for another kunai. She works herself into a seated position. Glances towards where the bullet came from as she winds back. Her arm protests what she's about to do and just as she's about to whip her arm forward to throw the bladed weapon, the pain spikes and she passes out from the pain.
The kunai she was holding clanks and clatters as it drops from her finger tips.
It won't be long before the mob is able to subdue the criminal. He... had no viable exit vector, anyway -- so he calmly sets the pistol on the ground, and holds his hands up. With sunglasses over his eyes, it's hard to make out who it is -- but the security guards who rush up to apprehend the criminal are quick to remove those in the process of jamming his hands behind his back.
This being the age of technology, there is already a swarm of wannabe journalists bugging him for a statement. Smug, overconfident, and all around full of himself, the well-muscled Japanese man simply shakes his head with a smile. Clearly -- he's not talking without a lawyer.
He won't have to talk. As his arms are yanked downwards, the collar of his shirt is tugged down as well, revealing the head of a snake tattooed upon the back of his neck.
Yakuza.
