Description: Kyo Kusanagi.. doesn't seem to be well liked in Gorin for some reason, as he shows up to his fight against Cap'n May battered and bruised after getting jumped by the majority of the students there. Not that May would know any of this seeing that there's the whole thing about her... not being an actual Gorin student or enrolled in any school at all. May seizes the opportunity but Kyo still manages to pull the win. Woops! <Winner: Kyo>

Tensions are running high amongst the schools. Evidence of this is pretty plain--Kyo wasn't expecting a -grand- welcome from Gorin High, but the reception he -got- was... violent. And while Kyo is definitely a (soon-to-be) master of the Kusanagi arts, and a wielder of the holy flame, well... he hesitated. Some of the kids weren't fighters--he could tell, of course. But sheer numbers... He's definitely looking a bit the worse for wear after having come through that, but, well...
To be honest, it's only fired him up some. Because, well... Kyo. He doesn't take well to being beaten like that. (Would anyone?) So Kyo? He's leaving behind a pile of Gorin students. Most will wake up in the next few minutes, but few enough will want to continue the fight. Speaking of the fight...
Kyo strides onto the Gorin grounds (again), and spits a gobbet of bloody phlegm onto the ground. He doesn't look pleased. "Alright, you punks," he grits through clenched teeth, "Where's the mug I -came- here to fight?"
You know what the worst irony of all this is?
May isn't even a real Gorin student! Poor guys haven't even checked that the so called president of the Navigation club is president of something that doesn't even exist in Gorin high, maybe, probably.
May might be compelled to enroll in this school after all this though because, well, a Captain's place is with her crew! But that is neither here or there.
There is a brawl to be done!
"Ahoy and Avast, me hearties!!" May cheerfully jumps to stage to her supposed home advantage of Gorin High, only to notice that the crowd stalls seem mostly deserted thanks in no small part that a great part of the students charged Kyo freaking Kusanagi. "Huh?? Where is everyone?" She expected applause and cheering, dang it!
Such is her dismay that she pulls a spyglass from her pirate hat and starts looking about 'till she spots a bleeding Kyo approaching. "Aha! Thar she blows, maties!!"
The sailor fuku wearing May puts her spyglass away and heads to meet with Kyo, large eyes widening even more when she sees the condition he's in.
Oh no! Her opponent is hurt before the fight.
Perfect!
"Arr har har! I smell blood in the water!!" Bear in mind that while May is a good hearted girl, she's also a /pirate/, and while she's not exactly too fond of the pillaging that the corsairs of the sea were know for, she does recognize an advantage when she sees one.
And she could really use that prize money to repair Makoto's dojo!
"Go Mister Dolphin!!!" May doesn't waste a second! She swings her anchor at Kyo shooting an energy dolphin from the ground that flies straight for his face.

All this... and now... energy dolphins. Kyo looks dumbfounded for a moment as May appears on the horizon. Well, not on the horizon per se. But she appears. And she's definitely got that whole pirate vibe going, what with the anchor and the dialect and all. There's a snarky comment about cosplay in there somewhere, but Kyo isn't making it right now.
The dolphin is traveling at a pretty good clip but Kyo just kind of... sidesteps. It looks almost contemptuous, like he knew that was going to happen, or something like that. "What," says the young Kusanagi, almsot conversationally. After all, it's not every day that he gets something as strange as that happening.
And a look at his opponent. Kyo isn't the -most- chivalrous but this is a young girl...! <<Snap out of it, Kyo. She might be a young girl but she's clearly got somethin'...>> Like, you know, a gigantic anchor thing. And Kyo smiles. It's not a particularly nice smile.
"Alright, if that's how you want to play..." Kyo's got power too. That power springs to hand--his right hand--as a burst of flame, racing up his hand to the elbow, whooshing almost musically until he sends it hissing along the ground towards May.
"... then PLAY WITH THIS!!"

Oh, May has heard all the comments about cosplay now. She's just jaded to it all even at her innocent young age she is! Even to the fact that Kyo avoided her attack entirely too easily.
"Barnacles!" She manages to curse in her strangely childish way, perhaps alluding that she got most of her pirate lingo from watching a certain animated sponge, and begins to back up when she senses a counter attack.
"Hmrr!!" The girl grunts as she bears most of the damage from the incoming fiery attack, her anchor placed horizontally across her to act as a shield against the flames. This guy can throw this much power even while looking like this? Why, he might be stronger than Makoto!
But May knows that ludicrous and still pushes on.
"Sod off, mate. Nobody talks to a pirate like that and doesn't get keelhauled!" Throwing caution to the wind, May decides to stop being a landlubber that plays the projectile game and charges headlong at Kyo, anchor raised high. "YAAAAARR!!!" She screams as she swings her massive anchor sideways to clock Kyo on the side of his head.

Stronger than Makoto? Kyo doesn't even know who Makoto is. (Actually in reality, Makoto probably does have more pure strength than Kyo. It's a consequence of her gorilla heritage.) It's really fortunate for Kyo that May -has- that big anchor--it makes it easier to take her seriously. That is a problem Kyo certainly has with fights. Fortunately being beat up helps with that, too.
Kyo remains steadfast as May comes charging in; he shifts his weight a couple of times, then, as May starts her swing, Kyo surges forward. A combination of a forward step and a perfectly-placed forearm stop the weighty anchor before it can really get going, a gloved hand clapping onto the shank of it just forward of May's grip.
In the same moment Kyo charges his power into his other fist and drops down to one knee, almost as if getting the same level as May--but not really. Really, he's just slamming that flaming fist into her side, throwing his whole body into the hooking punch, a focused explosion of that fiery power blowing May away from Kyo.
Almost casually he rises to his feet, dusting his hands off. "That the best you got, kid? C'mon. Show me that thing isn't a toy," he says, around a rather insouciant, insufferable smirk.
One moment May is swinging her anchor.
And then the next she's feeling excruciating pain on her stomach as she's punched clean through her attack.
"HUUAAAGGH!!" To give May some credit even as she's getting rag dolled, she does not scream like a little girl. A strewn of not so infantile curses escape her mouth this time once she's sent careening back across the stage, bouncing ever time she hits the ground like a rock thrown across a lake.
And just as soon as she's sliding to a stop on the ground, she's getting back up, SMASHING her anchor against the ground with furious indignation. "Aaah!! Ye bloody blighter!!" Well, might be one of the reasons why May hangs out with Makoto, she also kind of acts like a gorilla herself.
"I'll--" She spits out some blood in mid sentence. "I'll show ye..."
Again her anchor is raised and she skips a few steps forward before she points it at the Kusanagi heir.
"GREAT... YAMADA!!"
An explosion of watery chi splashes behind her and a great whale emerges, flying across the air to then crash land on top of Kyo and flatten him under its weight.
COMBATSYS: May successfully hits Kyo with Great Yamada Attack.

"Oh, shi--"
Kyo's eyes go wide. He's... frozen for a moment because, well. _Gigantic chi whale_. He raises his arms but it's a futile gesture.
*WHAM*
And Kyo is floored, because that was a -whale- made out of -water chi-. Unfortunately for May, that's not quite enough to take Kyo down. Though he is looking -very- the worse for wear when he does get up. "Not..."
*cough*
"... not bad, kid. But you got somethin' to learn... if you don't put a Kusanagi down with your best attack... you'd better brace yourself 'cause..." He points.
"'cause the fire is comin' for you--!" For a moment he literally explodes with power, flaring a bright yellow aura around him--it seethes, then tightens and draws in, and, somewhat re-energized, Kyo lunges forward, hands up, looking to deliver the knockout blow with a forward kick, flicking his toe for May's stomach.

Eh, seems like all May manages to do nowadays is just to get fighters to take her seriously right before they inevitably knock her down.
That's why she's not entirely surprised when Kyo manages to pull himself out of the hole from where the whale pushed him and, despite her best efforts, catches her with a kick to the stomach that sends her flying backwards again, following almost the exact same trajectory as before.
"Hrrggg!!!" That one really hurt, much to her own irritation, and though she lacks the energy from before she still manages to get back up by pushing on her anchor.
"Sod off... ye blasted..." Teeth clench, eyes wide with intense anger.
And she sucks in breath to follow through the same motions as before.
"Great......" Oh hell here it comes!! "YAMADAAAAA!!"
Next verse same as the first, a flying energy whale soars out from the ground sailing straight for Kyo.
Except this time, May doesn't manage to stay up after swinging it.

May shouldn't take it seriously from Kyo. Of course she can't know that Kyo doesn't take -anyone- seriously... but to get him to take her seriously is a pretty good thing in terms of making him take notice. These are the things that Kyo would never say, though, so it would have to be up to May to divine that.
Pulling the Whale again, however--as impressive as it is--means Kyo's seen it and thus, he's prepared for it. This time he weathers that brief storm, the whale's splash drenching him and the impact staggering him but not taking him down.
He walks over to where May fell, looking at her for a moment, then nods. "You've got some potential. Come see me again sometime," he tells her likely barely-conscious form, then he walks away. It certainly looks as though some of the student body were thinking of trying him again, having recovered from their initial go-around...
But Kyo's fierce glare puts that notion down. Now he's alert and ready and with the power he just showed off... maybe they're thinking he wouldn't hold back this time. In any case, May's disposition is up to the Gorin students now.
