Match of the Millennium

The daughter of first-generation Japanese immigrants to America, Yoko Kasagi, a Metro City native, grew up during some of the darker times of that city's history, and the sense of duty ingrained in her by her parents -- willing to sacrifice their culture but not their values -- caused her to join up with the local police presinct as soon as she was old enough. Displaying remarkable leadership, perception, attitude, and marksmanship, she rose through the ranks quickly, working hard to help her neighborhood and always able to keep her conscience clean. Not long into her career, however, having shot up in the ranks thanks to the lackluster performance of her predecessors, the unexpected struck: she fell in love, married a businessman, and had two children. Yet even after struggling to juggle married life and her chosen profession, she finally had her heart broken, and fled to Southtown, hometown of her parents, where she has lived since. Having been recently promoted after the retirement of the last Chief Inspector, Yoko will now find all of her abilities taxed to the extreme: being just an exceptional policewoman won't be enough when political skills are now required. And how, away from home so often, will she deal with two teenage children who wield powers beyond her wildest dreams?
